Starting point is 00:00:32 on our internet, analytic here, aka Dreams, and I'd like to welcome you to mine, which I call the notorious mass effect podcast. I am your hip-hop and gaming news source with a little bit of R&B mixed in for the notorious episode 123, and even before we get into 123, because in general, I don't know why, but I guess updates have became a necessity in every single upload. So I kind of understand as you know it kind of gives you insight on the person you're listening to and background knowledge but anyways i'm technically on a summer vacation so i'm just letting that out right now you know you're not going to see me for at least two to three months not just joke i'm just joke of course of course we still grinding even on vacation so anyways uh for the most part
Starting point is 00:01:20 as far as the update uh the podcast support has been great even through the roof breaking records i mean literally if i if i can pull it up right now i dropped this kind of kentering Lamar and baby Keem review over their hillbilly's track and that's currently sitting at 46,000 total downloads and I dropped that yesterday so basically let me give you a timestamp right it's is may 31st 11 a.m. right I dropped that May I dropped that review the Kendrick Lamar review May 30th to 45 p.m. and under a day under 2. 24 hours, we have already surpassed 46,000 total downloads. Now I think y'all understand personally for me, because sometimes you look at these huge conglomerates, you look at their numbers, but you know,
Starting point is 00:02:13 I'm independent. I do most of the stuff on my own. So usually the weekly downloads, as I say all the time, sits around 38,000. So weekly downloads for me is 38,000. And for that single review to have over 46,000. I am beyond blessed and highly flavored. What was this? Wingstop. Highly favored as the support that y'all give me on every single segment. And even specifically this one,
Starting point is 00:02:45 I felt like I had to point it out as I don't think I've ever seen this type of support for one of my segments ever, like in life. And it's to the point where I said something about SpongeBob in the review comparing it to like a goofy type of track and I'm not saying I'm the one that spirited you know I'm not going to be no on no egotistical type tip but I do see a lot of sponge by means floating around and everybody comparing it to a goofy vibe so I feel like with that track we kind of impacted culture and I don't want to say nothing too crazy like oh we the ones who said it was trash because I definitely didn't say it was trash even though I was
Starting point is 00:03:24 thinking it but i basically just said it was goofy which is like the pg way of saying this uh trash you know no pun intended for my kentrick fans out there but anyways uh for the most part i think that the update should be to let you well the update should be that i'm on vacation and i'm still grinding for y'all because guess what this can't stop won't stop um what else did he say i don't know but anyways y'all get the point so we're going to keep grinding even on vacation. Of course I'll tell you all the exact location. I mean, just click my cash up link and send me $100 and I'll tell you the exact location. How about that? So anyways, let's get into episode 123, which is titled is Star Wars Jedi Survivor Game of the Year or no. Not to fly.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I added that last part. I added that last part. You know, it's not one of those type of podcasts. But anyways, so basically we're going to go through a plethora of topics from AI music. Of course, we starting with that as that seems to be appreciated by. fans at this point and we're going to get into PlayStation and them trying to acquire CD Project Red. We're going to get into my Jedi Survivor review, of course. Then we're going to get into riot games, just completely disrespecting women. And now they have to pay over 1,500 women and compensation for discrimination. Then we're going to get into the takeoff shooter in his sentence and how long it is. And then we're going to end with a little advice.
Starting point is 00:04:54 advice for John Morant. Now, if you would have seen my YouTube or my kick, you would have seen my thumbnail, which is very hilarious I might add. Probably one of my funniest thumbnails I ever made. And I will tell you, I would tell you what it was, but I'm pretty sure you'll see it whenever you see this after the fact in the main thumbnail art. I think that's how you say it. So anyways, for the most part, that is what episode 123 consists of. But before that, make sure to click my link tree or my bio to access my social medias and follow to keep out my latest activities. Starting point is 00:05:41 five stars as this helps the show reach more people so we can grow together and affect the masses. Now, without further ado, let's get into the first topic. If there's one thing that the goal was lacking and I mean the absolute goat of hip-hop it's that gangster like appeal but ladies and gentlemen with the evolution of technology with the creativity of somebody using the internet to access that technology they have created a many-men cover AI cover by Drake now For those not familiar with Miniman, it was a song way back in the day. I mean like way, wait, not just joking. I was just trying to make people feel old.
Starting point is 00:06:37 But anyways, it came back out in 2003, and it was a single, 50 Cent, aka Curtis, for his debut album, Get Rich or Die Trying. You ever heard of that album? But anyways, it was certified gold by the recording industry, which is the R-I-Double-A, which is recording industry association of america in 2006 of for selling 500 000 copies in the united states also the song samples an older song titled out of the picture by tabarees or tabarez however you say and in general the song lyrics are is you know i'm not trying to be like the police or anything but this is not knowledge and common knowledge at this point the song lyrics is
Starting point is 00:07:26 is about a shooting that happened to 50 cent back in 2000 when he was shot not one, not two, not three, four, five, six, seven, eight, but nine times in Queens, New York, United States. And guess what? That man still here to this day. Now, I don't know if 50 cents some type of superhero or he knows some type of Luke Cage, bullet retention or bullet reflection that we don't know about. But at this point in life, this man is just, invincible because he is beef with the most gangster-like figures you've ever seen coming to society
Starting point is 00:08:02 and he is still alive to tell the story. So of course, using AI technology to not only have Aubrey Graham cover it, but to put it in a way where he's photoshopped on the top of the many men cover art, which is just horrendous by the way. I have it up if you want to see the video version, shameless plug, analytic dreams video. But at the end of the day, when you're looking at this cover, it really lets you know what type of time and 50 cent was on. Because Drake's face over 50 cents body makes absolute no sense. Like, absolutely no sense. And even the song, like, who is wishing death on Drake?
Starting point is 00:08:42 I mean, obviously, you know, it's probably somebody out there who's just a horrible soul. But, you know, as far as being a gangster-like figure or trying to rep that energy of being tough and people out to get you, I don't think Drake has ever had that type of energy thrown his way in a perspective of where the fans would actually take his music and be like, you know what? This is authentic. Drake's saying many men wishing death upon me. Blood in my eyes for I can't see. And what else he say? And they try to take my life away.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Like if Drake started rapping like that, dressed like this, the believability, which I'm I don't even know if that's a word, but the believability of that statement will be ground zero. Because nobody on earth thinks that Drake is living that gangster life like a 50 cent, like a J.Z, like a Rick Ross, like a meek mill. Like it's really different when you come into the perception of Drake and you come into the perception of other rappers, which is not a slight. It's not a negative. Like I say, all the time on this podcast. He's one of my favorite musicians of all time in the hip hop space. But I will say the only lacking appeal that he has is that he's not quote unquote gangster, which me as a law-abiding citizen, I care nothing about.
Starting point is 00:10:03 So as long as he's free to put out new music for my consumption, I do not care if he's gangster or not. But apparently somebody does as they went ahead and used the evolution of AI technology to make a mini-men AI cover by Drake. So click my link to you in my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about this Drake AI cover for many men by 50 cent? The link may or may not be in the description. Depends on if they take it down or not because, you know, other people put up the song. So I just put it in the link if you want to listen to it.
Starting point is 00:10:37 But if they take theirs down, then, hey, you know, I try to put you on. But anyways, let me know what do you think about the song? And do you think that Drake needs a gangster-like appeal to have more popularity? You know what I was thinking? We need more of Kanye covering other people's songs by the use of AI technology. Because obviously, Gottier, which is a completely different artist, making this track, somebody that I used to know, did not do it justice to somebody's ears as they went to, took it upon themselves to give us a Playboy Cardi and Kanye West.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Yes, Mr. West himself and Playboy Cardi has an AI carter. cover of the song, Somebody that I used to know. Now, if you don't know, this is from Gottye, which hopefully I'm saying this right is literally G-O-T-Y-E. So, I mean, technically he has J-N-N-N-N-N-A-N-N-N-A-
Starting point is 00:11:38 may be related. But, you know, I would say that's probably a stretch. This track is already 14 times platinum. I mean, it came out in 2011, so already being 14 times platinum. I mean, that's technically diamond and almost halfway to two times diamond. I believe that's how it works.
Starting point is 00:11:55 I think 10 times platinum is diamond. And you get it. 20 times, 30 times, it's like three times. You know, you get it. So it's one time, it's diamond. And it's almost 15,000, yeah, 15 times platinum, which is halfway to two diamonds. Yeah, I'll probably just confuse y'all.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Anyways, this song has been streamed a lot. That's all you need to know. The song has been streamed a lot. The song was written by Gottiyei and Kimbra. Hopefully I'm pronouncing the name right. And the lyrics is obviously about a breakup, which you already know Kanye West is currently going through with him and Mrs. Kardashian. But at the end of the day, having a Kanye West and Playboy Cardi cover of this track is just completely outrageous. And I think the use of technology should be stripped from certain people if they use it in this manner.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Like out of all the things to do in your life with this type of evolution and technology, you decided to make a Playboy Cardi and Mr. West a AI cover of somebody that I used to know. Y'all let me know how that makes sense. But anyways, y'all may have heard this song in other places and other films and television shows, including the perks of being a wallflower,
Starting point is 00:13:09 the mini project, and many more. Don't ask me how I know. Just know I have a lot of people who watch different shows. And in general, it's been sampled by, I think major, I think it's how you say laser, major laser. I think that's how you say. I'm not really too well versed in other genres, but I believe that's like one of the biggest in his genre.
Starting point is 00:13:33 But anyways, it was sampled by that artist. And in general, it's just one of those tracks that's been played so many times that if somebody played it, you would know every single word. To the point you may even start questioning. yourself on if you need to break up with somebody just to feel the full effects. So anyways, click my link to your in my bio, let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Kanye West and Playboy Cardi of all people coming together with the help of AI technology to have an AI cover of the track, somebody that I used to know.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Once again, Mrs. Swift shows that and showcases vocally that she's just one of the most talented artists of all time because in general whenever you get the ability to mimic somebody's voice to cover other tracks you get to a point of an epiphany i think that's the right word when certain artists are just preferred to sing and cover tracks versus other artists like there's certain artists who just vocally is just way better than your favorite artist can ever be And that's okay. And that is the case with Vanessa Carlton. Unfortunate, but hey, happens to the best of us.
Starting point is 00:14:59 So a song that a thousand miles, well, a thousand miles, I can't say it. The song title, I'm not editing that out either. The song title is A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton, released in 2002, peaked at number five, and stayed on the charts for 41 straight weeks. won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance in 2003 and has been covered by a plethora of artists, but not a single one of these artists knew that this technology was coming out in this day and age where you can literally cover it for the free.
Starting point is 00:15:37 So now we have Taylor Swift covering a thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton. And in general, this music was probably one of those songs that came out back in the olden days because it was written in 1998, I believe, and there's like a whole Andalude that was renamed a thousand miles Because in general, a lot of people believe that when it was released as a single, it wouldn't have performed as well being titled Anilude versus being titled A Thousand Miles. And it was kind of correct, as you kind of see the writing on the wall, because currently this is probably one of the most fire tracks
Starting point is 00:16:19 that I ever heard in my life. And I'm not even just saying that just because I am a hip-hop connoisseur, but let me tell you, there's just certain songs and other genres that stand out above the rest, and this is one of those. So for a fan to go and utilize the AI technology to have Mrs. Swift, Grace to cover, and talk about how she is just 10 times better than Vanessa Carlton. It's just unfortunate. Because in general, I mean,
Starting point is 00:16:51 Vanessa Carlton is the one who made the track, wrote the track, sang the track, produced the track. I mean, I don't know if she produced it. But for Taylor Swift, and it's not even her fault. I mean, somebody used the AI technology to put her voice as a cover for it.
Starting point is 00:17:06 But, you know, it's still unfortunate for Vanessa as she was probably thinking, you know, at least let me eat a little bit as everybody already knows. Taylor Swift has a plethora of just pop tracks that has probably way more views than a thousand miles. But once again, can't disrespect it as a thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton. It's a classic pop song that definitely, and I mean definitely stood the test of time. I mean, I'm talking about writing this in 1998 and we're still talking about it till this day,
Starting point is 00:17:37 to the point where somebody felt the need to have their favorite artist, which is probably Taylor Swift, cover the track in its entirety. And it's just a positive song that puts a positive energy into the air and makes you just get ready for life. I don't know how to explain it. You'll just have to listen to the track yourself. So click my link to you in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Taylor Swift covering the track by Vanessa Carlton called A Thousand Miles?
Starting point is 00:18:07 And I may or may not have put the link in my description box below. And let me know will you be giving? giving it a listen. This whole year has been a showcase on who fans want to hear music from. In general, if your favorite friend or your favorite artist only has one to two AI covers compared to a plethora of other AI covers for specific artists, then they're probably not as popular as you once thought as the only AI covers that I see in popularity currently is of course goat
Starting point is 00:18:44 which is Drake and then of course Mr. West which is the genius and then we have Mrs. Swift who is the darling of the music industry I mean it comes to a point where you can only give somebody so many
Starting point is 00:19:00 accolades until they be like okay let somebody else eat like notoriously I remember when Bruno Morris and Anderson Pack was cleaning up at the Grammys so crazy that the next Grammys and Bruno Mars was like, you know what, we're going to withdraw because you want to let other people eat. Now, that takes a certain type of individual to have so much success that he's like, you know what,
Starting point is 00:19:23 it's time to let somebody else eat. Now, I don't think he'll be saying that if it was attached with a bag, but since it's just attached with notoriety and status, I think that's why the gesture was offered. As if it was coming with a bag, best believe he probably wouldn't have turned that down. But of course, what I'm talking about this for is because another AI cover came out for Mrs. Swift for the song Call Me Maybe, which came out in 2011 for the second studio album of Carly Ray Jepson. Hopefully I'm saying it right. And her second studio album was called Kiss. But this was a single for that album, the lead single, by the way.
Starting point is 00:20:06 And it peaked at number one, of course. is currently nine times platinum which if you don't know it means that the song has been basically streamed over two billion times um on spotify also has 1.3 billion views on youtube making it one of the most view videos of all time on youtube now that is girl power if i ever saw something like it but anyways uh the song also won several other awards like the people's choice Award for a favorite song of 2012 and so many different awards like the video award for video well the much music video award for video of the year and let me tell you something um you know drake did say it's a 10 on mute but i i will say that the music for this single is way better
Starting point is 00:20:57 than the actual video like sometimes you know in hip-hop the video is 10 times better than actual music coming from some of our respective artists. But for others, let's just say the music is 10 times better, and that's okay, because that means people are just specifically focusing on the talent rather than the assets. You know what I mean? So anyways, let's get into some additional facts about the song, because in general, they wouldn't have Mrs. Swift cover this for no reason. Carly Ray Jepson was a pretty popular artist around that time in 2011, and the song
Starting point is 00:21:33 lyrics is about a girl trying to get the attention of a boy because when has that ever happened in society and then the music video was directed by Ben living and the song has been used in several and I mean a plethora of television shows including pitch perfect glee and a lot of the shows like the Mindy project and in general just know that the reason why this song was covered by Taylor Swift is because whoever uses AI technology and implemented her voice onto this track, thought that she would have sung or sang, however you say it,
Starting point is 00:22:09 the song much better, or 10 times better than Carly Ray Jepson. So click my link to share in my bio, let me know in one of my social media is, how you feel about fans wanting Taylor Swift to cover this song rather than Carly, and who do you think has the better version? And as always, if you want to listen to the song,
Starting point is 00:22:29 the link will be in my description. well description box below so the grand jury has finally indicted takeoff's killer or alleged killer because i'm not trying to get sued and he's officially charged with murder he was charged on may 25th 2023 and he is accused of shooting and killing the mego's rapper takeoff on november 1st too. Recipes take off one of my favorite groups of all time. I remember when I used to listen to Migos
Starting point is 00:23:15 and in general when I used to hoop back in junior high and we used to play across the country used to be one of those type of vibes where we couldn't get ready for any game without listening to
Starting point is 00:23:32 the Migos across the country. And that was like way back. in the day which is not like to make me sound old it just was so now that the group is officially over not even because of takeoffs passing
Starting point is 00:23:46 but it was kind of over before that but we're going to get to that in a second I kind of want to focus on the shooter the alleged shooter and I would say his name but I think in general you know I'm more of a proponent of just
Starting point is 00:24:04 using the justice system to lock people up who do heinous crimes I'm not a gangster, obviously because gangsters will be like, man, forget the system, we got to do something else.
Starting point is 00:24:21 And whatever that something else is, y'all can figure that out. But the whole situation, I already covered it before, and in general, is one of those type of situations where being a huge, Amigos fan, being a huge takeoff fan listening to Cuevo Offset, even with their solo albums when
Starting point is 00:24:40 they put it out, like the last rocket, Cuevo's album, solo album, and then Offset solo album. I just realized that this is one of the greatest groups that we ever had in hip-hop history. So to lose one of those members is always a blow to lose anybody, but to lose one of those members, like a pretty important part of my childhood growing up. getting ready for basketball games listening to me goes it's just one of those things where it kind of hit harder and showed you that nobody is is off the table when it comes to when your last day is which is why you should always take every day as a blessing because you never know what day can be your last and not to be a morbid note just to make you enjoy the journey of life because we all know how it starts
Starting point is 00:25:26 and how it ends so anyways um the indictment comes after a two month after a two-month investigation by the Houston Police Department and the grand jury found that there was a probable cause to believe that Clark is the murder. And I said I wasn't going to say his name, but I slipped up there. But anyways, I mean, it's literally like his last name. So it wasn't like his full name.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I guess that's okay. So anyways, he's currently being held in the Harris County Jail on $250,000 bond. And his trial is, schedule to begin August 22nd, 2023. Just another instance of senseless violence and one of those things that could have been avoided if, you know, the surroundings were different and the resources that, not putting this on them, but the resources that Quavo and Takeoff has, I feel like they could have had or been in a better
Starting point is 00:26:29 surrounding doing different activities that probably wouldn't have led to that. but you never know where stuff can happen, but it's just one of those things which is very unfortunate. And it's really important to remember that every day is precious. And also, we should do our part to just check up on one another because you never know what somebody's going through, you know? So anyways, getting off of a morbid tip, because I definitely didn't want to stick on that.
Starting point is 00:27:00 I just wanted to showcase that the justice process has been. continuing, you know, some people would be like it takes forever, which it does. But, you know, we have some type of progress on the alleged shoot of takeoff. Switching gears because, of course, right after this news happened, Offsett did, well, not right after, but, you know, Offsett recently revealed in an interview with variety, which is not really too much of a reveal, which I'll get to in a second, that he's not biologically related to Quavo and takeoff. And he also said that he and Cuevo were classmates.
Starting point is 00:27:34 and they were growing up in Georgia. And then he started hanging out with Quavo and Takeoff when he was in the sixth grade. Quavo was Takeoff's uncle, of course, but Offset is not related to either of them by blood. Very weird energy, very goofy, just unsurious type energy from Offset right here, knowing that we're going through the process
Starting point is 00:28:08 of trying to and just trying to get take off the alleged killers through the justice system knowing that this whole takeoff process is probably weighing heavy on a lot of people and this is not even a reveal. People Ben knew this, nothing they hide or hid.
Starting point is 00:28:31 I wonder if he was asked about it. It seemed like he wasn't. I would have to look. But in general, it's just weird that he will reveal this information instead of trying to focus on something else. Like it's one of those type of things where if he was asked the question,
Starting point is 00:28:46 I could understand. But at the timing of you, you know, the beef, you know, because they had beef, real beef before takeoff passed away. And it wasn't like anything serious where blood was shed, but it was just like label money type stuff
Starting point is 00:29:01 like, Offset wanted to do his own thing. Cuevo was like, no, we still a group. Offset was like, okay, I'm gonna leave the group then. So he left the group. That's when Cuevo takeoff came with infinity links literally at the end of the rollout for the album infinity links um takeoff unfortunately passed away which i said was uh around november 1st yeah it was november 1st 22 and then off san quavo never really reconcile which probably lets you know there's something
Starting point is 00:29:31 deeper than the surface to not reconcile after losing one of your probably like one of your prominent members of the group. Like, not reconciling after that, let you know it's something deeper than what's on the surface than what probably we even know. But anyways, here is Cuevo explaining the whole situation back in 2014 that Offset wasn't related by blood
Starting point is 00:29:55 and he just hung out with them. And it's just interesting that Offset decided to release that information around this time period, knowing what we're going through with the whole takeoff situation in general. So very goofy behavior. But here's Cuevo, already revealing that he wasn't related by blood.
Starting point is 00:30:12 The group is supposed to just doing your own shit. Because we're family, we want to eat together. We're family, we all family. Yeah? Yeah, we don't want to see nobody doing their own thing. We'd rather eat together, you know what I was that? I feel you. I mean, how'd y'all come together?
Starting point is 00:30:27 We're family. They're my nephew. Oh, really? Yeah, really. How many years are you all apart? I'm 22. He'd be able to him. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Yeah. yeah so that family name i've said i've been knowing him since so i just want to pause this to say the evolution of the amigos has been real because i mean later on they they came out and said they have fake chains and stuff but this is just ridiculous i ain't gonna lie to you at some point they was probably like hey man we got enough money we ain't got where all these fake chains no more and for the people listening not watching just know you you should be watching and if you are um i appreciate you for checking out the channel but if you're not then check out my channel on Spotify, exclusive video,
Starting point is 00:31:12 analytic dreams video, so you can watch this along with us. But anyways, let's get back into it. Since 7th, probably what, 6th grade? I know him since 6th grade. So we just always ran together. I feel you. I feel it.
Starting point is 00:31:27 I feel. I mean, how do the name Migos come about? So you saw him talk about offset, not really being blood, but them hanging out. So it wasn't a secret, which is why this is like goofy, behavior, in my opinion, coming from Offset to reveal this now. I'm 22.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Okay. Yeah. So that family name, I've said I've been knowing him since 7th, probably what, sixth grade? Been knowing him since sixth grade. So we just all right together. I feel you. I feel. I feel.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I mean, how do the name Migos come about? So he kind of said it right there. But anyways, I basically just, you know, pointed that out to showcase that what Offset deal was completely. unnecessary and to the point where it's just, it's clown-like behavior to reveal that information at this point. But obviously, I don't know the whole vote variety interview. I don't know if he was asked that question.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And if he was, it seems like he just revealed it. But if he was, then, yeah, very, very weird behavior coming from offset. But it hasn't been the first time he's had weird, weird behavior towards Cuevo and takeoff. So anyways, click my link to your in my bio, let me know in one of my social medias. How do you feel about the grand jury indicting takeoff's alleged killer? And what do you feel about the whole process? And what was your favorite takeoff memory of all time? So there's a rumor that PS5 is just way better than the Xbox Series X and this.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Now, I'm just playing. That's more of a fact. But anyways, so anyways, let's get to the rumor of PlayStation looking to acquire CD Project Red, because how to combat the news of Microsoft trying to acquire the gaming industry Infinity Stones and the likes of Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and all other type of developers. Well, let's come out with our own news about acquiring a gaming developer in CD Project Red. The studio behind, of course, you should already know if you're a gamer, The Witcher, and CD Project Red, which was atrocious at launch simply for the fact it was unpleasure. playable i didn't hear a single complaint about the gameplay but only complaining about the
Starting point is 00:33:48 game not being optimized which if you don't know optimization is basically what makes a game run smooth on a certain set of hardware and it was poorly optimized to the point with playstation literally took the game off of his storage which is so ironic and why i brought it up is because now they're trying to acquire the studio they literally just finished taking the game the latest game off of the stores because it was so unplayable but guess what it may not be as true because these rumors were started by a destiny two leaker i don't know how it happened but you know this gaming industry everybody in the mama has something to say so a destiny two leaker leaked the information and then CD Project Red denied them
Starting point is 00:34:39 and the earnings called the president. And you know what's serious when the president speaks out. And the CEO Adam Kaczynski? I think that's how you said. He said, quote, nothing has changed on our end so I can repeat what we have been saying
Starting point is 00:34:56 throughout the years. CD Project is not for sale. We want to remain I and D. And I'm just playing my fault, my fault. We want to remain independent. So CD Project Red is one of those type of companies where they're really sticking to the morals, quote, unquote, and they're not just going to be, you know, mesmerized by the big bag that PlayStation can throw at them, just like a Bethesda, just like a Ubisoft was mesmerized by how Microsoft just threw the bag at them to come make games specifically for their console. So CD Project Red is denying these rumors, but still doesn't completely. negate the fact that there has been a few reasons why Sony might be pushing to acquiring CD Project Reds.
Starting point is 00:35:43 So they may have kind of leaked the information themselves, even though I have no way of confirming that. Just a rumor, just speculation. I'm just saying that I'm probably looking towards the future of gaming being an exclusive type of battle. Sort of like with Netflix, Disney, who, uh, no, Hulu's on Disney. HBO and all those other platforms, Tooby, if you watch that. My fault, I mean laughing to be. And then, you know, just different shows being bought by different companies so they're exclusively on their streaming service. It's the same thing with PlayStation and Xbox fighting for these gaming developers.
Starting point is 00:36:25 That's the best way I could put it. Because in general, if you try to just overtake the landscape of hip hop or hip hop, look at it, look at it. look at me if you try to just overtake the landscape of gaming simply by putting out great games well that's not a that's not a model that's been proven over the years so let's just buy developers have them exclusively make games for our piece of hardware which were which were in turn only hurt the gamers but not our bottom line which is the only thing they care about so overall this is all just a rumor it's probably unlikely that sony world require CD Project Red. However, there's always a possibility that the two companies could work together
Starting point is 00:37:14 at some point in time because PlayStation can always publish a specific game for CD Project Red and have them under the PlayStation license. But as far as the entire gaming developer going under Sony for the bag, it seems unlikely as when the president comes out and says CD Project is not for sale, period, then you probably want to believe them, as it's not just anybody talking about the company. It's the CEO slash president. If I cook my link to your bio, let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about these rumors about Sony trying to acquire CD Project Red? Do you think they're trying to put pressure on CD projects to take the bag to join them exclusively?
Starting point is 00:38:02 Or do you think that Sony is overplaying their hand in the, this exclusive gaming developer bidding war. Now, I'm going to start this off by saying, wouldn't it have been easy or easier to just respect women? Because at the end of the day, riot games have found themselves in a predicament. And I mean the type of predicament that's going to take you decades to pay off. And that's being generous. as Riot Games, which is a gaming development studio,
Starting point is 00:38:40 has been ordered to pay over 1,500 women compensation following the $100 million settlement of a gender discrimination lawsuit. Now, if you want to know more about it, back in December 2021, Riot Games agreed to pay $100 million in a class action lawsuit, alleging gender discrimination and sexual harassment. of course the lawsuit was filed in 2018 so this has been like all jokes aside this has been happening so long in the gaming space that when one person speaks up and they say they're lying and somebody believes that they're lying then it makes all the other women kind of not want to
Starting point is 00:39:29 speak out anymore and obviously I'm saying as a male so I can't really speak to that as specific as I want to but let's just say I'm not going to say it's the it's the domino effect but somebody had to come forward and come with actual evidence for this whole lawsuit to even be applicable for riot for riot games because apparently this has been happening for quite some time now so this lawsuit was filed in 2018 by two former riot employees and they have their names but I don't want to say their names just in case people um be acting weird and try to go find them so anyways, the settlement will provide compensation for over 1,500 women who worked at Riot Games between November 2014 and December 2021.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Now, you just do the math on that. So the lawsuit alleges that Riot Games had a boys club, quote-unquote, culture that discriminated against women in terms of pay, promotions, and opportunities. And the lawsuit also alleged that the women at Riot Games were subjected to, sexual harassment, including unwanted touching comments and jokes. Ride Games, of course, denied the allegations in the lawsuit, but agreed to settle the case to avoid further legal costs and negative publicity. And they said that this settlement is the largest ever of a gender discrimination lawsuit
Starting point is 00:40:58 in video game history. So what that tells me is that Riot Games is about to be. A riot. No, just flame. My father decided. That was pretty bad. You know, you could throw your tomatoes. My bad.
Starting point is 00:41:13 I ain't know what to say. Anyways, let me go back. So Riot Games is about to be bankrupt, basically. And riots are going to start happening across the workplace because they're going to be trying to figure out who was the bad apple and it kicked them out when they could have just all respected women in the first place. So now that they had this whole fiasco happened, founded themselves in this predicament, have to pay this $100 million dollar class.
Starting point is 00:41:37 action lawsuit, uh, settlement. It's to the point where riot games will probably most likely go under because I don't know any gaming developing studio that can, that can handle that $100 million settlement and still run business as usual. But hey, guess what? At the end of the day, like I just said, at the beginning of the segment, you could have just respected women and found yourself not in this circumstance in the first place. So I would say the settlement is a definitely, is definitely positive, like 100% positively a step in the right direction.
Starting point is 00:42:20 But it's also, it's also easier to point out that it's a win rather than point out there's still a whole lot more scenarios just like this happening in the gaming industry and people are still afraid to speak up. So at this point in time, I think that if you have something that you can obviously prove and something that's been done for you in the aspect of unwanted touching comments or jokes, I think you should take this article as a sign that you can basically win against a gaming developing studio if you go to the, if you come with, I don't know. I don't even want to say the right evidence because even that sounds weird.
Starting point is 00:43:09 But anyways, it just shows you that it can happen. Like, people will actually believe you because we do live in a society where sometimes women say certain things about certain males and then people just brush it off to the side because either the male makes more money or the woman, they just don't care about her at all because she's a woman. So there's a lot of things like that happening with the gender wars. And obviously, I'm a male so I can't speak to it as in detail as I want to, as I said earlier in this segment.
Starting point is 00:43:36 but I will say it's definitely an important step and if anybody's going through this in their own workplace hopefully this article lets you know there's a sign of light at the end of the tunnel that can help you come out yourself and not feel afraid. So click my link to your bio
Starting point is 00:43:52 let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about riot games and them having to pay $100 million in the settlement for a class action lawsuit? And also with this settlement do you care
Starting point is 00:44:09 if ride games go under as a gaming development studio or not I like don't fall into that trap that these people doing on TV saying because he ain't no thug because he ain't in the street
Starting point is 00:44:27 he ain't about that he ain't a guy you do you don't want that how y'all know you ain't you don't want y'all know that boy do y'all know that boy because I don't I know it from dunking and jumping
Starting point is 00:44:38 And I only started knowing them when I started paying attention to him around the last year, last year of college. So I want to say that little Wayne rarely does interviews. So shout out to All the Smoke for, again, this Lil Wayne interview, this iconic, legendary Lil Wayne interview. But anyway, so let's keep going. I come from like a town with 3,000 people. Like, what? What? Y'all expect.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Y'all, what? You gave me, y'all gave him $200 million. I just said a town with 3,000 people. You expect him to be responsible? Now we tripping then. Yeah, now we tripping. We expect him to be, that's magic. Because I could tell you, I come from a real well-raised, beautiful mother, nice.
Starting point is 00:45:23 You know what I mean? My mom and bust her ass to make sure everything around me was nice. And I still was a knucklehead. I shot myself. You know what I mean? So if you're expecting, in that young man, from a three, I could imagine if I came from fucking, what, to play with 3,000.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Now you have to realize that Lil Wayne, you know, all the jokes people want to say about his subject matter and just, you know, some of the antics as far as like canceling shows or just walking off stage because his fans ain't show enough love to his opening artist. You know, all that is fun and fun in games. But when little Wayne starts actually giving advice, you might want to listen because he knows a little bit, he knows a thing or two about being successful from very early. Like, little Wayne is one of those Michael Jackson type figures where he was. famous from a little kid all the way up until now and we've seen the evolution the entire way. So anyways, let's keep going.
Starting point is 00:46:16 And I became who I am. Barnes. I think that was... Oh, go ahead. They had social media when I was 20 through. I wouldn't have made it. Oh, yeah, thank God. I think that was a good question.
Starting point is 00:46:28 So that's another interesting comment. You know, I forget his name. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I noticed Matt Barnes and Steve Jackson, Stephen Jackson? I forget how I say it. I know it's Jackson something, right? I don't know. Maybe I'm being
Starting point is 00:46:44 disrespectful. I just said I wasn't going to be disrespectful. That's crazy. But anyways, when Jackson said, I think it's Stephen Jackson. Anyway, I get what I'm saying. When the other guy who wasn't Matt Bars said that if he had social media when he was 23, he wouldn't have made it,
Starting point is 00:47:00 is a pretty interesting sentiment because that's how a lot of people are when it comes to, you know, just activities that aren't law-abiding and being really talented at sports. The two usually don't mix and it usually gets you in the situation that John Moran is in right now
Starting point is 00:47:15 where he's probably going to miss out on a lot of brand deals and sponsorships simply for the fact that even after giving a statement and receiving a warning from the NBA, he still happened to go on social media
Starting point is 00:47:34 once again and show off gun on his homies IG live where it appeared allegedly to be a gun in his friend's IG live video and of course the NBA said what they always say quote where we are aware of the video in is of in investigating of course job moran hasn't been charged with any crime because did he break the law of course not but at the end of the day when you look at job and rent's net salary and i know people people be like money doesn't matter well okay this is the prime example of where money matters right here net worth let's just look at his net worth right his net worth is around 50 million let's see
Starting point is 00:48:22 john morant brand deals right we're gonna get into this because people act like this man having a or being in the confines of the law is a reason for him to showcase a gun or IG live right he has a brand deal with Nike Beast by Dre Hyper Ice Hyper Ice John Marine Gear which is his own stuff but his endorsement deals
Starting point is 00:48:49 are worth millions of dollars could end up making him a billionaire if you played the game right you know what's not playing the game right getting yourself caught in a nightclub which you know honestly that situation I do blame the nightclub because aren't the videos or camera supposed to be private
Starting point is 00:49:06 But anyways, getting caught seen holding a gun in a nightclub and, um, it was two occasions. And then there was one where he was at finish line or something that his mom wanted him to come check some of the workers because they were being rude to her. So he showed up with his homies acting all gangster like. And then it was another situation at a Pacer's game with his homies were shining a red light or a red dot, quote unquote, that looked like it came from a gun, which, you know, we have no idea if he came from a gun. but you know it scared the people who's working for the Pacers organization and then come to another story where he beat up a little kid because they got into her argument and then something the kid made some type of threat to where John Moran went and grabbed his gun out of his his uh his uh place his home so all of that culminated into a suspension i think it was like an eight games
Starting point is 00:50:02 suspended yeah eight games without pay and guess what he ended up missing the all NBA team completely. And you know why? Simply for that. And do you know how much money? Let's see. How much money does an NBA player make for making all NBA team? Let's see.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Because this is where net worth comes into play. You are worth so much money. You're being endorsed by so many brands. You are the figurehead for so many brands that you can't be acting like this 24 seven waving a gun i know somebody brought up a senator or whatever but pull up job morin's net worth and pull up that senator's net worth and then let's really have a discussion because when you get paid a certain once you get into a certain tax bracket that the uh requirements and the regulations are way more strict than probably a senator who's probably not making as much as one of the faces of the league
Starting point is 00:50:59 like come on now let's be serious so anyways um players who are named to all NBA teams are able to negotiate higher salaries with their teams and this is because they're more valuable and in general you know your salary goes up a certain percentage that your team can pay you simply for the fact that you make NBA all you make all NBA team so basically we have that fact right and then we have the whole Nike deal where Nike literally gave this man his own signature shoe to the point where if you wear job and rents at this point people gonna think you're referring to something else when you say you're a real shooter.
Starting point is 00:51:37 So anyways, I don't think a lot of parents are going to let their kids wear John Morant's, and it's probably going to hurt once again the bottom line of John Morant. So Moran's going to get to a point where his net worth isn't going to be as big, and once it gets to a point where the league is not as reliant on John Morant to sell certain brands, guess what? They're going to let him do all the foolish and gangster activities he wants. But as long as his net worth is 50 million, and he's the first. face of Nike, Beast by Dre in the National Basketball Association, and also the Memphis Grizzlies,
Starting point is 00:52:13 they're going to want him to behave in his, well, they're going to want him to be on his best behavior to the point where it's going to be worse, it's going to be worse compared to walking on thin ice. Like this man is beyond walking on deep, deep, uh, thin ice. It's to the point where they're going to start looking at him and they're going to say, you quote an NBA young boy lyric one more time, and that may be a suspension, because this is ridiculous, because there's no way that you can tell me that John Morant is in his right mind waving a gun on IG Live.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Like, at that point, he's just not a representative of any brand in America. Like, if you really think about what he's doing, this man looks like he should be the figurehead of Glock, not Nike. Like, he should just go and endorse one of these firearm brands. and just changed his whole career from being a 10% shooter from three in the NBA to a 90% shooter in the range. Because at this point, this man does not care about his contract in the slightest. And imagine all the mouths he could have feed, all the times he could have gave back
Starting point is 00:53:20 if he want to have gave up all that money simply for being ignorant. And my other take is maybe John Moran's at the point where he's made enough, money to where he's like I don't care what comes with it I'm approved to everybody I'm a gangster and if that's the case well we may we may be having a whole different discussion because if he's okay with all of these repercussions because he already received his money then God be with John Morant because there's no telling what else he's willing to do so anyways click my lecture in my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about John Morant and
Starting point is 00:54:06 his running with the NBA because of his ignorant actions? And do you think simply because what he did was legal, he shouldn't be punished for it, or is the league right to give him a punishment? The time has come for me to give my official review after a total of 60 hours played of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, beating the game, playing the game even after I've beaten it,
Starting point is 00:54:38 countless nights, countless days of no-lifing Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Now, if you're asking, what is Star Wars Jedi Survivor? Well, let me tell you, it's a sequel to the 2019 game Fallen Order, developed by Respond Entertainment, of course. Cal Kestis is the main protagonist It's set five years after the events of Fallen Order So, you know, he's pretty well-versed now And his Jedi abilities, which you kind of figure out
Starting point is 00:55:20 As soon as you play the game Like if you play the first game compared to the second game It's a little different to the point where I can't believe That the first game even existed. Like the second game is so much of an improvement Over the first game, it's insane It's like I heard
Starting point is 00:55:37 the Black Hokage compare Arkham Asylum to Arkham Night or Arkham City and that's the perfect comparison I'll give to this game. The first game was great in his own way but the second game is just an upgrade
Starting point is 00:55:51 from everything, from the exploration to the abilities to the Jedi or just making you feel like a Jedi. This second game really makes you feel like a Jedi. The first game is more like you trying to become a Jedi. But the second game, Calcestis is not one to mess with.
Starting point is 00:56:07 So anyways, it's a sequel, of course, building on a previous foundation. Calcestis is the main protagonist. The main antagonist of the game is a spoiler. I'm not going to get into, actually, am I going to get into spoilers? Probably not right now. I'm going to give like five to 10 minutes of non-spoilers. And then at the end, I'll probably get into my spoiler talk. What else?
Starting point is 00:56:32 you explore as Calcasters for the most part of the game and it's published by EA and I know when I say that all my gamers are out there like no way don't tell me that like micro transactions are going to be everywhere but guess what this this game don't really have too many micro transactions you play the game and that's what you get like you don't get any micro transactions
Starting point is 00:56:54 telling you oh you can only access this certain part of the map if you pay this 1099 like the EA doesn't do that like they do with most of the other developers. You know, sometimes they make the developers put in unnecessary micro-transactions simply for money. It's just simply pure greed. It's kind of crazy. But anyways, this game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Starting point is 00:57:19 So yes, I guess Xbox do have some games, I guess, if I must admit. But PC as well, I already said that. Oh, Nintendo, that's what I want to talk about. So I think this game was supposed to be on Nintendo. Maybe I'm thinking about another game. But I think it was supposed to be on Nintendo and they pulled it back. But also, I don't actually, I don't think this was ever supposed to be on Nintendo. Anyways, it's on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X-N-S and PC.
Starting point is 00:57:50 And then the game has new lightsaber combat. What are we going to get in today? I'm going to give my own review. This is like, because I played the game, so I'm going to get my own personal review of it. but it's been a commercial success of course and let's see let's see how let's see Jedi
Starting point is 00:58:05 Survivor how much money it didn't make let's let's find out you know I love I love the pocket watch so I want to see what EA and respawn getting from this Jedi Survivor Star Wars um cool let's see what it says
Starting point is 00:58:22 because I man pocket watching is one of my favorite activities when it comes to companies because you know they all competing with with one another like I swear, like, Insomniac is probably looking at Star Wars Jedi Survivor, like, hey, we can't do 10 times that with Spider-Man 2. And, hey, they just might. But anyways, let's see. Yeah, they don't have the update stuff.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Hold on, give me one second. I should just copy and paste instead of typing it again. Which, you know, I got some fast fingers, you know what I'm saying? No, it's probably my fault. My fault. Anyways, let's get into the copies. So 16,000 copies. I'm trying to get to the money, though.
Starting point is 00:59:06 10%. Let me see. Yeah, they're not telling this. Okay, that's cool. Another year. Oh, yeah, that's another thing. I do need a touch on that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Okay, so EA is not letting us know how much money it's made. Okay, cool. That's fine. I'm going to figure it out. I'm going to figure it out later. How about that? But anyway, so anyways,
Starting point is 00:59:26 let me bring this back up. So the biggest thing I wanted to get into, you know, as far as my non-spoor list, because this won't last too long, is that Jedi Survivor is literally one of those type of games where it will make you love gaming again.
Starting point is 00:59:46 If you're one of those type of people where you're just like, I can't find a game to play games is just so boring nowadays. Today's games is just so uninspired and dry. I highly encourage you to play Star Wars Jedi Survivor. When I tell you, if you don't play any other game or if you haven't played any other game
Starting point is 01:00:07 for the past three to four years, you need to play Star Wars Jedi Survivor. If you're not even a Star Wars fan, because I'm not a Star Wars fan, and even I was licking up stuff simply for this game. I think as a gamer, I could be a little biased sometimes
Starting point is 01:00:24 when talking about games being great and fun for people like Eldon Ring. That's objectively a gamer's game. Like you have to be a gamer to enjoy that game because you may get confused by them not explaining literally anything. But in Jedi Survivor, anybody, and I mean anybody can enjoy this game from start to finish.
Starting point is 01:00:44 It's one of those type of things where the moment you started, you're going to be captivated by the story, and you're never going to know what the plot is actually taking you, because from the first mission to the last mission, you're hit with certain plot twist that you just did not see coming to the point where I'm very excited, I mean, very excited to see what the third game brings. because not only is the third game coming, but you know how is the trilogy and sometimes the second movie
Starting point is 01:01:13 just leads into the third game? This is a definitive conclusion so that the third game can be as, can also be its own story. Like it wasn't like, oh, I'm not going to spoil anything, but it's not going to be like, oh, we're about to go here
Starting point is 01:01:28 and it just cuts out, cut the black. No, you can, you finish a lot of, you finish everything. You set out to do in the second game in the third game, it sets up so much that even finishing the story, you have so much more to look forward to in the third game, even though you feel so satisfied with the ending of two. Now, that's just my personal opinion.
Starting point is 01:01:53 So what I like to do sometimes, I like to go through the characters and give my review of each and every character, and they give it about the overall story. So let's get into a 9.2 rating. I mean, you know, popularity ratings isn't always the best. but for me i feel like that's a tell-tale sign of how good the game is um let me see of course this is an action-adventure game i think i said that uh so yeah should we just get straight into the cast see the writers um storyline make sure quotes connections okay let me see story or after
Starting point is 01:02:42 let's do storyline after actually i'm just going to talk about the characters i'm just going to mix the story in there because that's basically what they I mean it's just the characters okay can I make this bigger because this is insanely insanely small okay let's start with well should we work our way up I don't know too many of these people okay additional voices okay um let's start with wow okay um talk about spoilers man forget it we just gonna get straight into spoilers because well hold up you may not see it if you listen into the audio version probably didn't see it but if you do want to listen or watch along with me while i cover this just go to analytic dreams video version and definitely uh when i when i start to pull up the names
Starting point is 01:03:31 start to skip forward because you know there's some spoiler names in there but uh you know i i bet they didn't mean that they was just trying to give somebody the voice act of credit but anyways okay so for the non-spoiler let's just talk about the top three people so i would say calcestis bowed and Ravis is probably the top three you can make a you can make an argument for Marin I guess
Starting point is 01:03:58 or maybe even Seer Sear would be interesting because she, okay so let me start with Sear so Seer Junda she was kind of sidelined in this movie and not even movie but that's how good it was it felt like a movie but this video game
Starting point is 01:04:14 she was kind of sidelined so you didn't really get to take her on any quest there was really more of those more of the line of like a mentor and you just go into her whenever you wanted to talk and just advice and stuff she didn't really give you too many conversations but for the most part she definitely pointed you in the right direction and she was still a great mentor throughout the game okay for bode akuna i feel like for him um i feel like for i felt like for bode he was real interesting throughout the entire game and the ending of the game makes you want to replay the entire game once more let me just say that so anyways uh night system marron uh marron was like the
Starting point is 01:04:57 the um what's it called the love interest for calcestis and for some reason you know that worked i mean i don't know why i felt like there was a weird couple but you know at the end of day it is fictional you know it is talking animals i guess so but i thought there was a little weird couple but you know they i guess the story made it work um dagging which is one of the main antagonist at the game it's not spoiler because he's in like most of the trailers but uh he's the like the pale white dude that look like he doesn't brush his teeth ever it was that that guy so um dag and gara he was like one of the guys who who really uh put his stamp on the story like he really when he came to the picture um just took it by force like the amount of stuff he did in a short amount of time
Starting point is 01:05:41 was kind of insane if you really think about it so anyways uh agrees wasn't too important to me i guess this is like a personal review of each character Ravis Oh Ravis Who is D.C. Douglas? Now, I feel like I'm so crazy for saying that But who was the voice acting for this man? Because this man went crazy
Starting point is 01:06:00 Like, what do he work on? Known for No way. Stop playing. He was Legion? There was no way he was Legion. He was Legion and Massifax. You know, I'm a huge Massifake fan.
Starting point is 01:06:25 I mean, just look at the type of on my podcast. It says he was maybe Legion or Crewman Hoth? Crewman Hoth. What is that? Legion and Crewman Hawthorne. Who is Hawthorne?
Starting point is 01:06:42 I forget who Hawthorne is. I would type it. Hold, let me typing in over here. Crew man, Hawthorne. You know, I got to, that's crazy. I didn't know he worked on Massafel. You know, wonder his voice was so good. I would pause.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Crewman Hawthorne. Mass effect. I got to see who this man is. I wonder if it was an important role. Man, Hawthor. It's not showing me. Bro, who is Hawthorne? I mean, obviously he's not important
Starting point is 01:07:25 because I feel like they'll have so many, like, they have, like, so many pictures of him if he was actually important. He says, there's a Reddit post about him. They say, your sacrifice will not be forgotten. He survives if you. There's a line. Oh, he's just part of the crew.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Okay. definitely had it easy he's part of the crew so it wasn't like two of an outstanding character okay i thought i was trying to get my mass effect card take i was like who was hawthorn i don't remember who that was but anyways he was just part of the crew that i guess joker saved and uh what was that mass effect two yeah saved him in mass effect too when he was like walking around and joker had like to save the ship stuff like that anyways all right so yeah he was on he was legion and hawthorns but anyways let's get back to this game right so dc dc dc dc douglas gave one of the greatest performance performances.
Starting point is 01:08:19 What is that? Is that word? Y'all let me know if that's a word. D.C. Douglas gave one of the greatest performances that I've ever heard in a video game. And y'all may think I'm exaggerating, but go play that game. When Ravis pops up, line after line, I thought I was listening to, like, Thanos or something. Like, he was, like, the Thanos of voice acting, like, the way he was just menacing with his voice. And just the whole story of Ravis was fire.
Starting point is 01:08:46 And at the end, it's just a lot of things that the conclusion was fired, like his purpose was fire. And he was just a real honorable guy. And it really showed from the beginning to the end of the story. You really, you didn't like feel from him because, of course, he was like a mercenary. But still, it was like he has certain moral codes that he did not break that entire story. And you kind of understand, you kind of understand what I'm talking about when you get to the end of the game. So anyways, let's see any of these other people.
Starting point is 01:09:16 So we're going to skip. Turgle was a shout out to Tergle. Definitely a standout character, one of those type of things where if you can make your voice sound like that, you definitely need a shout out. So anyways. Oh, I'll skip past Cordova. So Cordova throughout the video game was pretty interesting
Starting point is 01:09:34 because I thought he was not. So hopefully that makes sense. He was interesting because he was not. Like to me, he just made no sense. If Cora could have did everything he was doing, but I guess in the first game they made him so impressed. important and just to find out who's alive that they had to put him in here somewhere. But anyways, that's basically, I don't have seen anything else. Um, yeah, that's the biggest
Starting point is 01:09:58 names for me. So anyway, story. Let's, let's get into spoiler territory with story. So basically, um, oh yeah, this is a warning. So if you haven't played the Jedi Survivor game, which I highly suggest you do, I will click off on this and, well, save this, click off and come back later. but at the end of the day if you play this game we buy the game as a spoiler territory so let's talk about the story right so storyline of course
Starting point is 01:10:22 let me see if I can click this can't click this it says edit I'm not trying to edit trivia no does not give me an overview of the game I thought they used to do that maybe I'm tripping I felt like they used to give you
Starting point is 01:10:41 like a whole entire like synopsis of it like wasn't it like a spoiler review in IMDB I just made it up, huh? All right, anyways, we're not looking at the parent guy. We don't care about that. So anyways, I'm just going to do it from memory. So I'm just going to hit some plot points.
Starting point is 01:10:59 If I miss something, then, oh, well, not just playing. So anyways, Jedi Survivor is one of those type of games where you start at the beginning and your whole crew dies on some Mass Effect, Command of Shepherd suicide type mission. So at the beginning, when it looks like Calcestus is captured, ends up he's not captured, and he's just wanting some important information to stop the empire of course and the people who captured him was on his team the entire time so y'all working through the first map y'all going crazy you know what i mean showing him that y'all not to be played with
Starting point is 01:11:29 y'all get the information and guess what the ninth sister shows up which is a nod back to the first game and she ends up killing the person you got the information from which wasn't as important as i thought he was going to be and she just starts to fight cow head on because let me tell you something she was coming for blood after what cow did to her in the first game and it never really showed her die like she I think she got knocked off a cliff, but never showed her dying, I believe. But maybe I'm tripping. So anyways, yeah, she starts to go crazy. She also has reinforcements.
Starting point is 01:11:59 They're shooting, taking out his entire squad. Like, one time, his squadmate got shot, and he turned around to her to tell her some directions, and she was just laying there dead. It was like, oh, wow, we're getting real. So his whole squad dies except for Bode. We're going to get to Bode in a second. And after that, you take out the Ninth Sister. And that whole fight was kind of fired.
Starting point is 01:12:18 It kind of got you in. in the mood of what you was going to get when fighting on on grandmaster. So yes, I did play this game on Grandmaster for a total of like two to three hours until I ran into a rancourt. And best believe me, I put that right back on Jedi. No, actually for the rancor, I put it on like story mode. But I put it right on Jedi Knight because I was like, yeah, this grandmaster is not for me. Because in general, I would die at Grandmaster, right?
Starting point is 01:12:47 And then I'll be sent back to my checkpoint. and the checkpoint would be so far away from where I was originally that I was just like, bro, I'm not going to keep backtracking and add another 30 to 40 hours on this game. Because like I just said, I play like over 60 hours. So it's like I'm not trying to play no game for 90 hours. I don't care how good it is. So anyways, because 60 hours is still a lot. Usually it takes 30 to 40 to be the actual game.
Starting point is 01:13:10 But, well, it depends on the game. But, you know, games of this size, it takes like 30 to 40 hours. Yeah. So you do that. you end up beating the Knight's sister because she didn't kill your whole squad and this is why I figured
Starting point is 01:13:26 that Cal would have went to the dark sides at some point throughout this game he ended up killing her and I don't know why I felt like it was such a big deal but throughout the whole story I was just like I thought Jedi wasn't supposed to kill and I thought they were supposed to like take
Starting point is 01:13:42 people and just like knock them out like I ain't know it was just slicing people right and left but I guess that's just what they did in this game as Cal was killing a lot of people like this man was a murderer like he he didn't like an enemy he was straight up killing him like left and right I was like whoa hold up now like he was still being considered a hero so I was like well I guess jeddyes they just you know kill people but it's just like okay all right I mean that's what we're going with so he ends up killing the nice sister and even when bold asked him back when he went back to the
Starting point is 01:14:13 rendezvous point he was like yeah she's dead I was like oh yeah he's definitely going to the dark side because he was fed up at this point he was like bro yeah i didn't kill my whole squad if you listen during the mission he has callbacks to where they went to a lot of different uh they went on a lot of different missions before so they had some rapport built up built up and at this mission he just lost his whole squad like it was just crazy but um what else so yeah so i'm not going to recap the whole story but that was one of the biggest things in the story and then what and then fast forward because you know it gets a little boring fast forward to the point of the point of the point of the whole story but that was one of the to the point where you meet maryne and she's like the uh female she's like the um the love interest
Starting point is 01:14:53 for cow cestis and that was pretty cool i thought there was a weird couple but somehow they made it work because you know there's talking animals you know so i was like man i guess i let this couple slide but it was it was kind of weird honestly um what else what else was important in the story it really wasn't too much important like you had to save a robot oh cow Kestis freed the main antagonist of the game well sort of he freed like the second biggest boss in the game and basically it was he was dagging and he went around building in a rebellion so much faster than cow ever could and i don't understand how he did that so short amount of time like at the end of the game he literally had a whole legion fighting for him against
Starting point is 01:15:40 the empire i'm like bro didn't we just free you so i was was so confused with that but um ravis also uh yeah let me go back through the names let me go back to the names because i'm not trying to miss none i ain't trying to think back and be like man i miss this character what was we at ravens yeah ravis on the other hand that man like i thought he was the MVP voice acting wise as every time he came on the screen he definitely took over the scene as his lines was just delivered perfectly like it was just a master class on voice acting and i think DC Douglas did a tremendous, amazing, spectacular job voicing Ravis. It was just one of those things where I can't give him compliments.
Starting point is 01:16:26 I can't give him the highest, a high enough compliment to, to sum up what he did in that video game. But anyways, we had Grease. I think he didn't do too much. We had BD1, which is funny because if you watch my play-through, shameless plug, you know, analytic dreams video version, I put BD. and all red and from you know let's just uh let's just say that was very funny to me and it was for apparent reason that had the colors and the name bd but anyways let's keep going so anyways um we had the ninth sister i talked about her oh eno kadova i guess this we got to spoilers he
Starting point is 01:17:10 died uh he got killed by somebody i don't even know i didn't really care about the old man like that but um yeah throughout the story you end up beating up ravis because you you're you end up being up ravis because you needed the location to where Dagen's Rebellion was. That's how it is. Like, the only complaint I would have about the game is that the beginning was fire, but the middle was dragging. It was like, well, are we really going to save a robot? Like, the story, you know, the story is great.
Starting point is 01:17:35 So it makes you understand why you're going to save a robot. But when you realize you're just going to save a robot, that's like, come on, bro. Like, what are we doing? So anyways, we go to save a robot. And then we needed some other coordinates, that only Ravis has. So we had to go back to this moon planet,
Starting point is 01:17:51 which is like one of the coolest places in the game. They say it's the moon, but I don't even know if it's really the moon. It's just in space, and it looks like space. I don't know. I don't know how to describe it. So anyways, yeah, you go fight Ravis.
Starting point is 01:18:05 You take him out and you kill him because unlike, you know, the other deaths or the other fatalities that Calcasters was performing, Ravis actually wanted this death. And he was like, oh, it was honorary because I really, you know, wanted to go out like a warrior so you need to give me this warrior's death
Starting point is 01:18:22 so you end up killing him so yeah that's how that goes and he gives you the coordinates to Dagon you go meet up with with Bode and y'all go to take on Dagan's rebellion because he then somehow garnered a whole bunch of people to fight on his side against the empire I don't even know how he did that in a short amount of time
Starting point is 01:18:38 but then you go there and you see Dagon and y'all start to duke it out and when I say duke it out I mean it was going to the point where they was just like forget gravity we're going to start fighting on the ceiling and then from that you i was like that was one of the best boss fights in the game so um that may be my favorite boss fight in the game yeah that's probably my favorite boss fight but then at the end you start doing some some force stuff where y'all are
Starting point is 01:19:04 fighting and using the force at the same time which you know oh wow i i can't believe that happened i know i get it but it was like some force vision and uh cow cess is like took out dagging using his own force vision against him i ain't never seen nothing like that so it was pretty interesting uh fast forward they get what they needed they take out dagging uh so they're going back to the place because it's the whole objective of this whole storyline is to get to this hidden path so they finally find the directions and the way to get there and they're all singing kumbaya i mean cordova seer marron gris even bd's in the in the spot um they're about to go to this hidden path but apparently they want to bring some other people along and guess who that did not sit right with and you guessed it the main
Starting point is 01:19:52 antagonist of the game bowed who would have thunk that the man with the jet pack was going to be the main villain now i kept saying throughout the entire game how come he don't just pick me up and take me to the next location instead of me having to do all these flips and and tricks with the puzzles and stuff but anyways i guess carrying a grown man is not excepting the star wars so anyways he let us struggle all that way just for us to find out that he was an op the entire time not only was he an op he was one of the best informants in the empire had his own office space everything which is where you chase him to after he ended up killing uh what did he kill oh that's when cordova died oh yeah so bode killed cordova which i didn't care about i didn't care about him too much so and then bode went off to his little
Starting point is 01:20:38 empire hideout and we traced him there because maryon had a great idea of tracking something So we trace him to the empire building, you know, and as we're chasing him, the actual empire, I mean the empire empire empire is popping up at this hidden place in the planet, trying to take whatever key they had to go to the hidden path. So they show up. Darth Vader goes crazy and, yeah, Darth Vader shows up. So that's one of the biggest things. Darth Vader shows up and you start controlling Sear. It's one of the biggest things in the game.
Starting point is 01:21:15 You start controlling Sear, and that's the black woman in the game for all y'all who are confused. And you go around going crazy, you know, and then Darth Vader shows up. And for some reason, they wanted to give us a fight scene between Sear and Darth Vader. Like, that was going to be believable. So, of course, Sear ends up dying because she's no match for Darth Vader. But they do act like you won by having her, like, beat him up a few times. But, yeah, at the end of the fight, of course, Darth Vader once because he's that dude. and then
Starting point is 01:21:43 C.O died so yeah Cal fought Bode and that's when he realized that Bode not only was he a traitor and informant and just a straight-up
Starting point is 01:21:53 opposition he also found out that Bode was a Jedi who would have thunk and so he pulls out Dagon's lightsaber to fight Calcasses because apparently
Starting point is 01:22:03 this man had to force but he didn't have his own lightsaber yeah y'all let me know how that makes sense but anyways so they was fighting and then um yeah bow just completely wipes the floor with cow kest it's like it just wasn't even
Starting point is 01:22:17 it was one of those boss fights from the beginning of the first game it was like they just throw a boss in your face just to show you you're not ready so bow just takes it just cleans up cow and cow has to you know walk back you know he just all defeated and stuff and then he finds a dead seer because of dorothy now does he know it's because of dorothy maybe he did some force sense touch and and figured out that whole scene but you know um actually not i think about it it. What if that force touch was how he was looking back on how Sear died and we was playing
Starting point is 01:22:48 in that whole scene? Anyways, conspiracy theory. So anyways, yeah. Then Cal's like, okay, we got to get bowed and then Marin comes with a great idea of, oh, he's tracked somewhere on another planet. So you go to that planet and guess what? It's the final showdown
Starting point is 01:23:06 with the main antagonist that we thought was on our side the entire time. So he actually used the key he got to the hidden path and we used the key we got to the hidden path as well because you know we have the coordinates now and um
Starting point is 01:23:19 that whole journey was bumpy because I guess it was hard to get there but we got there somehow so we both on the hidden the only hidden planet that is hidden from the empire whatever so we're there looking for Bode Bode has some daughter
Starting point is 01:23:32 which is why he did this entire thing trying to get a give her a safe place to be we pop up in the place we tell him hey either you going to be peaceful and you're going to let other people come here or we're going to have some problems or we're going to have some issues and then guess what bow just completely loses it breaks the ground so his daughter can't come can't walk over while he's trying to throw hands with calcestis
Starting point is 01:23:58 technically cow cestis then beat bode he had a two on one which i'm not respecting at all so technically they jump bode and it was cow and marron and maren it's like the star wars version of scarlet witch So that was already O-P in itself. But now she's fighting along Cal, which throughout this whole game, you're learning a double-saber blade abilities. You're learning dual-wield abilities. You're learning Blaster stance abilities. Single-blade abilities.
Starting point is 01:24:25 What else? Cross-blade abilities, which is like the heavy stance in the game. This man's just OP at this point. Like, he has all these stances. I'm wondering if and when Calcasis becomes canon and, like, an actual story. Because obviously they said that this whole storyline is canon, which makes it even more great for for star wars fans because you're like oh we can actually line up the timelines apparently he's around when obiwan is doing this thing obi won canobi or whatever
Starting point is 01:24:52 when he's no he's around when obi won't was hiding that's what was so anyways um calcass is you know he has all these stances now i'm wondering which stance we're going to go with for the um when they make him canon or if they're going to make just a single blade the the patented thing from the first game. So I don't know. But anyways, you fight Bode. You wipe the floor with them, of course, because you have Marin now. But one of the biggest things I did not mention for a reason is that throughout the process
Starting point is 01:25:22 of you chasing Bode to the empire planet, you use this ability and it gives you the red lightsaber. Yes, Cal does, I guess, go to the dark side a little bit. As when you get the Red Sabre ability, it's kind of like in God of War when you're going into rage mode, except for Star Wars, it kind of slows time down, but also you get an additional damage with the Red Sabre. So now you, when you go into that mode, whatever color you use for your lightsaber, it turns into red when you go into that mode. So I think that's going to be a new, that's a whole new mechanic added at the end of a game, just like they did in the first game,
Starting point is 01:26:02 which makes it so fire. Like you always learn the new mechanics throughout the entire game, transversal game like fighting all type of mechanics so now you get to the end of the game with this ability and just 10 times easier to take out bode in my opinion like of course i wasn't playing on the hardest difficulty but i wasn't playing on the easiest so i was using that ability like whenever it called for it and then it was just so easy to get to bode and like take him out so anyways um that red light saver ability was pretty cool i'm thinking in the third game they need to give you like a paragon and renegade type system because since they said it's a trilogy
Starting point is 01:26:37 they need to let us have multiple endings so we can wonder which one is canon for when they eventually or hopefully put him into a new Star Wars show because they said they're not making any Star Wars show a movie including or about
Starting point is 01:26:53 Calcestis until his trilogy completes so whenever the next installment of the Jedi game comes out best believe I will be here and waiting because now after you take out bowed you have a whole planet to feel with this with just force sensitive children and hopefully you can build back up the rebellion to go against the empire and i think that needs to be the exact mission you go on in the third game marron and calcess is
Starting point is 01:27:21 now raising bow's daughter because of course you know he died but but now that they have some quote-unquote family he can be like the the higher up the o-g to the young forced sensitive Jedi use you know Jedi so they can he could be that person that's like hey you know he can turn it to seer he can be the mentor now and you can let others kind of shine in the and the third not like gameplay wise but you know as far story wise you can be like oh he's just the OG doing his own thing but he still comes back to this planet to mentor and keep up with the children and training and I think the main protagonist for the third game has to be Darth Vader like I'm not going to lie to you.
Starting point is 01:28:02 Like, I know since it's canon, it would be hard to make Darth Vader the main antagonist. But, bro, if they did it for Obi-Wine, which he's technically just out doing nothing and Darth Vader was just messing with him every chance he got, then we need that same type of interaction with Calcasters and Darth Vader. I'm not the biggest Star Wars fans. I don't know what type of complicated loopholes that will throw into the whole story. but I just need Darth Vader to be the main antagonist for most of the storyline. I need Calcasters to win at least one fight to the point where Darth Vader needs help. Because of course, Darth Vader can't lose because, you know, he still has, he's still in future, he's already in future movies, so he can't lose.
Starting point is 01:28:43 So that would be like, oh, how do he come back to life? But maybe, you know, he can have somebody else pop up who's a famous character and help Darth Vader, and that way Cal has to back off or whatever. But I really don't know where they're going to take it. All I'm going to say is we definitely need a pair of. and renegan and renegade system and especially with the red saber that needs to be utilized more as that is definitely where they need to take cow to dig deeper into his personality so yeah um in general i don't know what i want to get into as far as star wars uh jedi survivor besides that
Starting point is 01:29:16 man i covered the story gameplay mechanics it was fantastic like i just said it's like five stances in the game all all with his own skill tree compared to the first game it's It's like a whole renovation of just not mechanics in general. They do reuse animations, which for some reason, gamers just don't like. But they just pack on so much content that you just, you put that to the side because there's so much new content that the little animations that they do reuse is not as significant.
Starting point is 01:29:47 And I do believe that this is a strong, and I mean a mighty strong candidate for Game of the Year. But hey, I'm also a Spider-Man fan. and that does come out soon this year. And best believe me, is Spider-Man 2 is even close to Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The bias in me is going to come out because like I keep saying,
Starting point is 01:30:07 Spider-Man is my favorite fictional creation of all time. But we're going to see what happens with the Star Wars video game. I think simply because of the optimization issues with PC, I don't know if people are going to put it in the game of the year of discussion, but I really hope people give this a chance because when I tell you, this is one of the greatest games I've ever played in life, I am not joking.
Starting point is 01:30:30 Like, this is probably top five video games I've ever played. So anyways, click my link to my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Star Wars Jedi Survivor? Will you be checking out the game? And if you have, what was your favorite part of the Jedi Survivor story? Getting into the overview of the pod, of course, for episode 123. we started with AI and the evolution of it with all these song covers.
Starting point is 01:31:02 And I think at this point, this may be a permanent slot in the episode as everybody loves the AI segments. I mean, every time I'm looking for topics, people are like, oh, AI this, AI that. So I just think in general for this episode, uh, format, the AIs may have to stick at the beginning because if y'all, if y'all like it, then I love it. What DJ Callet say? I like what the fans like. But speaking to DJ Calip, AI, Drake is back again with a cover of mini man 50 cent. That was the first topic we got into. And I kind of touched on how the gangster appeal kind of helps out for certain rappers. As in general,
Starting point is 01:31:37 whenever you looked at in a certain light or perspective of being gangster-like and your raps reflecting that lifestyle, then usually your numbers go up and your profits increase, which is a good and a bad thing. Because if somebody's really living out that lifestyle, you probably wouldn't want them walking around freely. on earth so whoever decided to have drake of all artists in the world cover the many man track by 50 cent god bless you because i don't know what you were thinking but that was hilarious
Starting point is 01:32:08 then for the next segment we got to a i conier west and played with cardi covering the track somebody that i used to know which if y'all know no pun intended that track is phenomenal that's like one of the more amazing tracks that i've ever heard in life and i think coney west and playbordy covering that with the use of AI technology is just fire in every sense of the word. And I will go as far as to say, AI technology at this point has surpassed whatever music your favorite artist has put out this year. And it may just be the MVP of 2023. Then we switched gears and got into AI Taylor Swift. You know we had to talk about Mrs. Swift as they wanted her to cover the track, Call Me Maybe. So we got into the, you know, some of the stats about
Starting point is 01:32:54 call me maybe, you know, how popular of a song it is. And it's just ironic how all the fans have the use of AI technology and they're using it to have Taylor Swift cover all their favorite songs. Because if you don't know, Taylor Swift is the music industry, darling. Then we finished AI talk, wrapping up Taylor covering a thousand miles. And when I talk about thousand miles, we're talking about billions of billions of streams,
Starting point is 01:33:21 song been around since like 1990s, I think. 1998, I believe, is when she wrote it. But anyways, Taylor Swift, you know, covering that track because of the use of AI is funny because usually when you can mimic anybody's voice to cover any song you want, you would go for your favorite artist and it's just showcasing the amount of popularity that Taylor Swift has because everybody is having her cover all the popular tracks. Then we switch gears getting into some gaming news with PlayStation CD Project Red as PlayStation was rumored to be trying to acquire CD Project Red,
Starting point is 01:33:58 and let me tell you, they probably tried, but they definitely failed. As the president and the CEO came out, and he was like, hey, guess what? CD Project Red is not for sale, period. So there's that. That room is out the window. But then we got to Star Wars Jedi Survivor for the next.
