Starting point is 00:00:12 Now, ladies and gentlemen, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, as right now we're showcasing the DreamCon 2025 announcement. The 7th year of DreamCon is coming up. There's 7 members of RDC. It's a lucky year. So all ain't make sense. All right. All right. So basically, the overall announcement of this video was a very interesting playoff of.
Starting point is 00:00:59 of when athletes signed to different colleges and things that nature. But what you can tell by the first announcement is that everybody in the mom thought the convention was going to Las Vegas. So whenever they start off the video like this, everybody's probably saying like, I knew it. Like I told y'all way back in DreamCon 2024 that this was going to happen simply for the fact that Mark quote unquote leaked that the location was going to be in Vegas. How do I know that?
Starting point is 00:01:28 because I watched like every RDC stream. But basically Mark said that during the stream and he was like, oh, was I supposed to say that? And then John shook his head. So that's why everybody in the mom thought it was going to be at Las Vegas as far as 2025. So that's why I started a video off like this made everybody think that it was actually going to Vegas.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Oh, you said it on stream. That's why y'all shouldn't listen to me on stream. That's why you shouldn't. Hey, that should have you said. Whatever is the decision. And speaking of the stream, man, You know we always start the stream late and we hold a specific coast And I guess this is just us saying sorry for it
Starting point is 00:02:12 What up New York I'm not amazing That's why I'm in a time I think y'all will hold again Sorry We love the East Coast though Now if y'all know how to see We don't like to do jokes too many times
Starting point is 00:02:31 especially not more than two tombs. So this next one, it's for real. A&P, it looks like we'll finally get to do something together. Captain Atlanta. Stop that. We don't mess with A&P like that. Hey, y'all didn't hear Leland in the background. What do you say?
Starting point is 00:03:00 Y'all can have Atlanta. I don't know how Captain Atlanta feels about that, but let's keep going. Stop that. We don't mess with A&P like that. Captain Lennon, sorry. But seriously. This next one, I promise, it's where Dreamcom will be. Shaw City.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Now, I know we've been living somewhere for quite a while lately. Trying to make movies happen and stuff. So, I mean, it only makes sense. Yeah. Let me. Houston! All right. So basically, it's going to Houston, as you can see right here. And the reason why I'm having this up on the screen is simply for the fact that y'all had to see the announcement video,
Starting point is 00:04:07 because that was very interesting. and as far as building suspense it was built to the highest level i might add but one of the biggest things i was wanting to get into with dream con is my coverage of dream con all the way back in yeah okay here we go i had to look up my own content so september 25th 23 on whatever platform uh you're currently listening on i put out this video titled dream con 2025 canceled exclamation point question mark now why would i say that as far as dream con 2025 when it was just announced that it would be coming to houston well i'm glad you asked because the actual reason i put that out is because i don't think a lot of people was uh familiar with the
Starting point is 00:04:58 actual developments of where they was currently hosting dream con but basically basically con was set to be in a specific place as far as in 2025, but they are reconstructing the Austin Convention Center where they've been having a dream con and, you know, a bunch of other events, but more specifically for this segment, they was having a dream con. So the reason why that's important is for the simple fact that you knew that this is coming at some point. So that is why in totality, everybody needs to know that dream. dreamcon 2025 will be in Houston, Texas.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Because when I put out this segment in 2023, I already knew that they was going to have to find a new location because the expansion, which is $1.6 billion. So best believe me, I'm pretty sure Dreamcom will come back to the Austin Convention Center at some point. But basically, the expansion is set to beginning in 2025. So they have to find a new home for the time being. So they will be in Houston for 2025. And more specifically, they will be in the George R. Brown Convention Center. So Houston, Texas, George R. Brown Convention Center. And that specific convention center is one of the biggest in the nation as far as convention centers goes.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And more specifically, the one of the top 10 largest convention centers in the nation. So if you want to know what DreamCon is, where it's going to be as far as everything in totality when it comes to dream con 2024 review well you came to the right place because once again analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio because right now is that's what hold up is that franklin is that franklin from gta franklin grand theft auto and they'll be bringing everybody out so anyways um i don't know why they threw me off because i've seen this video so many times but you really don't even hear from any of the gta actors but it was nice of him to show up that's that's crazy so anyways um
Starting point is 00:07:10 what's the same oh yeah so dream con basically dreamcon 2025 like i have reorder uh reiterated plethora at times at this point Houston texas george r brown convention center and it's one of the biggest in the nation so size would definitely not be a problem um when it comes to the mix of panels workshops gaming areas cosplay competitions vendors hall uh... vendor halls you can expect all that to be in one place as far as dream con if you're traveling then go to the dream con website which i'm going to put up right now hold up because the dream con website actually has a lot of the information that you should be looking at as far as like trying to book things and when it comes to uh and when it comes overall information right because right here as far as
Starting point is 00:07:59 the dream con website you can see the early badges are now being announced as far as the times so When it comes to the first badge, it's already sold out. You know what I mean? I already got me one. But you know what? That's just me. I'm not flexing. I'm just letting y'all know what's the objective fact.
Starting point is 00:08:14 You know what I'm saying? Anyways, I got me one. So I'm going to be there. And the overall release date of the badges was, I don't know if it's on here. I don't see you on here. Okay. I don't see it on here. But I do know, John is another place where you should be getting your information.
Starting point is 00:08:35 as far as DreamCon. So this account right here, here we go. Definitely got backup accounts. So John Newton, if you don't know, is the main, I'm not going to say manager, but basically he does a lot of things when it comes to DreamCon convention and putting a lot of the partnerships and things to that nature together. So when it comes to that, obviously a lot of the information is going to be coming through him when it comes to DreamCon.
Starting point is 00:09:01 But I believe he had a lot of the different dates on here. I don't want to go too far down. I think he posted this at some point. Let me see. DreamCon batch is dropped. Okay. Let's go to the other site. So that DreamCon website, John Newton's Twitter right here.
Starting point is 00:09:20 That's where you can get all the DreamCon information as far as updates and things in that nature. And then another one where you should definitely follow. And these are all imperative that you follow because something I noticed was when I was trying to get a ticket for 2024. It was kind of difficult because I didn't know when they was releasing, but what I figured out was they're releasing these tidbits through the actual DreamCon site, which you would think, duh, of course, they're releasing it through DreamCon. But I just thought, like, maybe RDC account would have posted it once. But for the most part, DreamCon convention gives you the heads up on when they get a ticket because these sell out pretty quickly. So, ah, here we go. This is why I was looking for it.
Starting point is 00:09:59 So this is the other profile you should follow. DreamCon, convention, but not DreamCon. dream convention on IG as you can see right here and you have the badge drops and then you have the partnerships from last year so as you can see john is pretty busy and not just to say john it's the only one that does it but i'm pretty sure he's like the main it's like everybody has a difference everybody specializes in something when it comes to r dc i think desmond is like special effects for ben it's like travel or something like that um as far as the itinerary uh dylan i believe it's like the streaming he helps out as far as being the tech guy i think ben kind is a tech guy but i think dylan's like
Starting point is 00:10:38 the main tech guy uh leeland you know he's the comedic relief um af uh af is like uh everything when it comes to video as far as uh just being the overall photographer and just the the videographer i don't know all the specific names but he does all that when you see video is probably aft behind the camera so uh am i missing anybody i mean mark is like the mascot just like the head the head person of RDC you know and he definitely represents RDC well especially whenever they ask him about his team and things that nature because whenever you're the main focal point of her group as you've seen and you know I cover hip hop daily so a lot of hip hop groups and R&B groups get
Starting point is 00:11:26 to a point where whenever that Beyonce of the group is announced there's a lot of animosity and vitriol spute uh sent towards his way because they want to be the bianca of the group which in mark's case where r dc it seems like they've been not seems like they've been around and been together for so long which is very very rare as you see with the migos you know rest and pieces take off it's a lot of things that can get in between groups even if they are family that's why i specifically say to migos but for r dc to stay together for as long as they have and especially to still keep that camaraderie. Even though Ben, you know, he left and came back, but it's okay.
Starting point is 00:12:03 He was probably chasing one of the only fan bots. But, you know, that's besides the point. So as far as this specific DreamCon announcement and the overall, the person who specializes over everything DreamCon is basically John. That's why I announced. That's why I showcase the DreamCon Instagram account, the YouTube, and then John's Twitter, because that's what you need to follow. So anyways, yeah, these are the badge drops.
Starting point is 00:12:32 So we have October 11th, November 15th, and December 13th, which is the final drop. 7 p.m. CST, weekend badges and single day badges available. And then, of course, is at the Houston George R. Brown Convention Center. I keep repeating that because it's very important. And then what else? There was something else. There was something else I was wanting to get into. Save these dates because these will.
Starting point is 00:12:57 be your last chances these will be your last chances to secure you being at dream con okay cool so yeah yeah man so that's basically it for the dreamcon 2025 news as always the location has changed every two years and for this year is no different as far as them moving again to houston but they're still staying in texas which is definitely true to the hometown as far as where they grew up up i believe mark and them grew up in like waco texas or something like that so yeah um another thing which is the biggest um tidbit that you need to know dream con is the largest and fastest growing black owned anime and gaming convention i love how to say anime because mark consistently tells people that it's just a convention for all black content creators and not even just black people
Starting point is 00:13:51 it's just like content creators people who enjoy maybe the nerdy side of things or also wanted to network as far as other content creators It is just a great place for that. And it definitely has gotten a black title because, you know, that's what they do to us when we get success. So you make it to a certain level and they'd be like, oh, he's successful in the black area of things. Like, not like overall, DreamCon is one of the biggest conventions in the world. And it was founded. It was just founded by a black group.
Starting point is 00:14:16 So that's something that's very interesting that they do to us all the time. So as far as the convention, it celebrates a broad range of interest as far as anime, gaming, gaming. class play sports film music pop culture like i think i saw corday hooping at one of the uh games and he was horrible but i mean just him showing up as a rapper is just like i mean just showcase the the uh vast palette of who shows up you can have the actor from grant the photo show up you have corday who's a rapper showing up so it's like overall they cover a broad spectrum when it comes to whatever you're interested in. So you probably will find something of your interest at the convention.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Don't don't just think it's just one thing. So anyways, after that, I wanted to get into DreamConn, 2024. So the review of that is that it was fantastic. Now, I'm not going to get into DreamConn 23 because that was a lot of drama. I'm more of a peaceful person. So drama is not something I like to entertain. So let's just focus on the reviews. but dreamcon 2024 so a lot of people enjoyed it of course one of the biggest standouts for people
Starting point is 00:15:31 who went there was the cosplay in the gaming contest as far as uh the participants and the viewers enjoying the creativity and the competition amongst the uh people uh performing in the gaming competition and also you had a lot of special guests and interactions like one of the videos i just showed hold up do i stuff that up um yeah here we go right here all right so this is the gaming competition oh you see corday hold up oh that's ray and then you see uh where's corday at yeah corday is right there you know just probably the worst hoop on the court and the reason why i'm saying that's because you know me i'm all right i'm i'm all right putting the ball in a basket so you know me if they wanted to do a one-on-one it's it's always you know it's like the the podcast version
Starting point is 00:16:16 is so illuminati just just know you heard that here first so anyways uh yeah cord day was just completely trash on a court but anyways um what was i saying so dream con 2024 Had a lot of things going on. A lot of people enjoyed it as far as the professionalism of all the events because that's something that they definitely improved on as far as the events being scheduled and it actually happening according to the time that they sit. Now, some of the biggest things that I want you to know as far as the crowd management, the event duration, and the meet and greet opportunities.
Starting point is 00:16:51 I will say those could be improved upon, but those are just, how do you say it? It's just constructive critiques that I have from people who've went there and given me a lot of tidbits as far as what they believe DreamCon can do better. So whenever I go,
Starting point is 00:17:11 obviously I'm going to have my personal review, but this is just me picking the brain of many people, some through internet, some in person, whoever went and talked about the event. But that's just basically the biggest thing that a lot of people was having, you know, problems with, especially having certain, um,
Starting point is 00:17:30 certifications when it comes to badges and not getting in, but maybe somebody else who didn't have the certification, like Finesta way in, you know, that, that apparently was happening too often. But that's it. That's all the,
Starting point is 00:17:44 uh, constructive criticism I have from the people who went. So with that being said, um, also it was like a huge desire to meet people that some people felt like they wasn't able to meet the entire RDC world. But, you know, that critique is a little bit more of the nitpicky side. Because, of course, they're going to a plethora of events that they have to be there.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Like, they have to go to one thing to the next to the next. It's not like they could just randomly have a one-hour signing session in the middle of their convention, right? So anyways, overall, everybody's enjoyed the Dreamcon convention. People agree that it should be four days. So that should let you know how much they enjoy. enjoy the convention. And as far as the other tip is, they say the meet and greet opportunities should be more expansive as far as like how many there are with the specific RDC members. But when it comes to people being supportive, when it comes to people meeting other people
Starting point is 00:18:41 who have become more important in their life as far as if it's a significant other, a best friend, things that in nature, you can find so much in DreamCon. And it's very much one of the greatest conventions, not black conventions. It's one of the. greatest conventions that just happens to be black owned in the nation. So, you know, that's, that's one of the biggest thing I was wanting to get at. But yeah, so, um, with that being said, remember that DreamCon 2025 will be in Houston, Texas at George R. Brown Convention Center. And like I, I think I've said it throughout this segment, but I will be there. This is going to be my first dream con. So, uh, with that being considered, if you want to the people who listen to the podcast,
Starting point is 00:19:22 and when I set something up for a DreamCon 2025, just click my link to my bio and let me know on one of my social medias. And with that being said, as always, let me tell you all something. This right here, what's the Jeopardy? No, this right here, hold up. It was something I specifically wanted to touch on.
Starting point is 00:19:48 I don't think it's on this video. You got the guy from Victorious, Leon Thompson. Well, Leon Thomas, I can't read. What else was I wanted to touch on? Oh, travel. Travel was something I was wanting to touch on. So basically, I believe the website has the travel accommodations up for 20 to 24. So I would wait for that to be updated.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Or I would just do your own due diligence and look up the times of the convention and look up the hotels around that or wherever you was wanting to stay. But as far as the convention. Oh, that's what I was going to say. Yeah, the convention is scheduled for May 30th through June 1st, 2025. That's very important to say. That was one. I was like, I know I'm missing something.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yeah, so the convention is scheduled for May 30th through June 1st, 2025. And you probably seen it on one of these videos that I was playing throughout the segment. But I just wanted to reiterate that myself. So with that being said, click by link, sure in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. If you've been to DreamCon, what has been your favorite experience? And as far as DreamCon 2025, will you be going? And at the end of the day, what top convention have you been to in the past two to three years?
Starting point is 00:21:15 All Sony ponies come to the front of the class because let me tell you one thing about this specific game right here. The amount of surprises that have came alongside the room. release of Astrobot is pun intended astronomical as the reviews are out of this world. Now, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. But what I'm currently showing you right here is basically all of the reviews from major publications. As you can see, everybody is saying this is a masterpiece. Everybody is saying this is a classic.
Starting point is 00:22:00 As far as the specific quotes, IGN gave it an 8.5 out of 10, basically saying AstroBite is a delightful platformer that showcases the capabilities of the PS5. Its charming characters and innovative, inventive levels make it a must play. GameSpot gave it a 9 out of 10 saying AstroBot is a joyous experience that combines clever level design with a hard. heartfelt tribute to PlayStation's history. Mm-mm-mm. And of course, to round it off,
Starting point is 00:22:37 Eurogamer gave it, recommended, which is their way of scoring different games, by saying, Astroby is a charming and innovative, inventive, I keep messing that word of, platformer that makes excellent use
Starting point is 00:22:52 of the PS5 features, delivering a memorable experience. Now, why did I, jump right into the reviews of this game as far as AstroBot because I don't know if y'all know but this bot in particular made it appearance when the first PlayStation 5 well not the first I guess the first after tomorrow but basically or after today technically PlayStation 5 when it came out it had a game attached to it called Astros Playroom which was
Starting point is 00:23:29 serving as the tech demo for the PS5 dual sense controller. So the reason for Astro Playroom being for free when you first purchase your PS5 is because they wanted you to get a sense of what the PS5 dual sense controller can actually do. And you play as a small robot as he explores the inside of a PS5 console navigating through its four main worlds, the cooling springs GPU jungle memory meadows and the SSD speedway so of course each was showcasing different features of the dual sense controller such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and that is why whenever they announced a sequel because that game came out in november 12th 2020 so basically during the pandemic so four years later september 6th 2024 for the sequel is released developed by team asobe published by sony of course which is uh which
Starting point is 00:24:37 is a exclusive for the playstation platform well exclusive for playstation five to be more specific i know people still out there talking about retro consoles and calling them current gen as far as the PS4 which is just horrendously and incorrect but it's okay we're just gonna let y'all live I'm gonna get we're gonna get back to that at the later date so Astrobot in this particular sequel you're exploring over 50 plans 50 planets each filled with unique challenges and surprises but one of the biggest things I wanted to get into as far as the Astrobot video game is the way that they're using certain PlayStation characters and Sony
Starting point is 00:25:24 exclusive characters to show up in the midst of the game as far as crados as far as the girl from horizon i forgot her name i've never played that game but um a lot of sonny exclusives as far as ip are popping up into this specific game to the point where it has an inclusion of 150 playstation characters in the game now of course with me being a humongous spider-man fan i was wondering if he was going to be included in this game but i guess i had to play it for my to find out because they didn't use him in any of the teaser trailers which I'm thinking if they actually had Spider-Man an actual game making a cameo they would have put more emphasis on this I don't know if he'll be in the game but hey I'm open to
Starting point is 00:26:08 be wrong so the runtime for the game is about 12 to 15 hours very short game 40 but basically 40 hour open world formats meaning that it's 12 to 15 to get through the game as far as hours, but 40 hours as far as explorative options in the extra sidequests that you can do. And this was conducted by a team of 65 employees when referring to Team Asobi, who is more known for making lighthearted games. And with that being said, the overall industry reflection of Team Masobi is that it is being compared to Nintendo Devaney.
Starting point is 00:26:54 developers because for the simple fact that this game is so good that is being compared to wait for it is being compared to mario yes ladies and gentlemen astrobot the game that just came out september 6th 2024 is getting such high praise they are comparing the game to mario so as far as the platforming it better be even top tier. It better be top two. And of course it can't be number one because that's for Mario. But as far as Team Asobi getting the nod of giving them Nintendo developer vibes, as far as Astroby being compared to Mario, out of all the games you can compare this game to, people comparing this game to Mario is insane. But with all the scores around the board, giving it eight to nines to hundreds at a 10 hundred at a hundred hundred basically everybody is coming out to say that this game is definitely establishing astrobot as a potential heavyweight in the playstation
Starting point is 00:28:11 mascot race as far as being the figurehead so when you compare it to mario when you're saying astrobot can be the potential playstation mascot when everybody is out here talking about how how it's very comparable to the best of Super Mario's platformers. That is super high praise. I would never, ever go into a game with that amount of expectations. So if you're going into Astrobot, please don't think it's going to be the next comment of Mario because in general, I don't know why my Alexa was talking to me, but it's okay. I don't think it's going to talk to me anymore.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Anyways, I don't think y'all heard that. But what was that saying? Oh, yeah, Astrobot. And Mario, as far as it being the flagship for, well, for Mario, obviously, it's Nintendo. So Astrobot is PlayStation. And more specifically, the PlayStation 5, it's apparent that I point out the sales as far as on a PlayStation platform. Because there's one thing about Sony Ponies, they will hype up a game and they're not by it. I'm talking about all the people who's claiming Spider-Man 2 should have been game of the year.
Starting point is 00:29:30 But when you look at the comparative sales, Baudersgate 3 literally blew it out of the water when obviously, Spider-Man is a stronger IP. Now, some would say is because of it exclusively being on the platform until a report came out that 60 to 80% of PlayStation owners didn't even buy Spider-Man 2. So I'm just completely confused on why PlayStation owners talk so much about the exclusives, but never buy them. I mean, if you look at the top five currently, it's all cross-platform. Right here, you have 2K25, you have Fortnite, Astrobot, which, you know, it just came out, but still, you know, congratulations to that for being in top three. Call of Duty, college football, and Madden 25.
Starting point is 00:30:20 All y'all want to know what the other, what the follow-up games are? Wu Kong. Shout out to Wu Kong. Definitely covering that my next episode coming out soon. Roblox, Grand The Father 5, and Star Wars Outlaws.
Starting point is 00:30:34 That was the top 10 games as far as PlayStation platform is considered. And also another tidbit as far as gameplay-wise. I'm definitely doing a gameplay walkthrough for star wars outlaws as far as elder ring millennia it's just got to take her w for now because there's too many games to play and i got to stay up to date because this is technically a job so with that being said i'm very i'm leaning towards buying outlaws and uh streaming the whole thing
Starting point is 00:31:06 so definitely make sure to click my link tree in my bio and follow uh my twitter and my youtube to get notifications as far as uh when i go live so with that being considered let's get back into Astrobat So overall You can tell that everybody is coming Together to say this is one of the best pieces of content PlayStation has ever put out Super high praise
Starting point is 00:31:30 There's nothing else to point out Besides the fact that they're comparing this to the peak of Mario Because I don't know if y'all know But Mario is the greatest video game character Ever created now that may make some gamers upset or mad and they may bring up Tetris or Roblox or Minecraft or Fortnite but Mario held down gaming in the Nintendo um Ds era and even before then the I don't know why I'm blanking on it it was like the smaller one the Game Boy Advance I think that's
Starting point is 00:32:07 what I'm thinking of it held gaming down during that time to the point where it's always going to be cemented in like in history as uh the savior of gaming because Mario really took gaming to a whole other level before there was a fortnight before those of Roblox before those of Minecraft I mean before it was uh all these other platformers to come out you know and uh subsequently come out um Mario was the originator as far as platforming innovation so never let that be uh misconstrued and and any praise people give to platformers. It probably took a little bit, not probably,
Starting point is 00:32:52 it did take a little bit from Mario. So with that being said, them comparing Asteroby to Mario was something I did not expect. All of these tens or nines across the board with something I did not expect, the widespread acclaim emerging as the highest rated game of 2024,
Starting point is 00:33:07 which inevitably makes it a contender for game of the year. Now, I don't know how Xbox players are feeling right now, but Wu Kong, Astrobot having such high critical acclaim currently and neither one of those games are allowed on the Xbox platform has to hurt. There's just no other way to put it. As far as high quality and top tier content, it is exclusively locked behind the PlayStation console. That has to suck. But anyways, you know, with that being said, that's all I've really had to talk. about as far as the astrobot so with that being said you know click my link to
Starting point is 00:33:52 my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about the overall reception of astrobot that is now out on all uh not all platform look at me being petty uh that is now exclusively out on the playstation 5 um and will you be picking up the game and what is your takeaway from astrobot being compassionate compared to the peak of Mario platformers. Now, of course, Sony ponies have to come back up to the front of the class because not only Astrobot being out currently, being one of the more pivotal games of 2024, a lot of people clamoring, literally saying that it might actually take home game of the year. I know that must not sit well with Xbox players. So with that being said, some more news that may not sit well with Xbox consumers
Starting point is 00:34:57 for the simple fact that an entire console upgrade has happened via PlayStation. What am I talking about? The PlayStation 5 Pro Edition has been officially revealed, showcasing a lot of enhancements over the original PS5, like one would assume. And the announcement, as far as the pre-orders, was set to begin September 26, 2024, with the release date set for November 7th later this year. Now, the ultimate question that y'all are probably wondering, well, how much would this console run me as far as my pockets, as far as my Benjamin's, my dad? jacks all in the same home like um jo okay to quote k kendrick lamar it's going to be about seven of them
Starting point is 00:35:57 benjamin's you got to come off and that's at the very least because six hundred and ninety nine is the actual price for this ps five pro now don't kill the messenger i'm just letting y'all know what sony thought would be suitable for the price right because the reason why the the increase in price It's simply for the fact that, you know, the current economy, you know, I had to get on my, uh, my soapbox. I think that's, yeah, what you call it. But a lot of these companies are laying off people at a, I would say at a, at a pretty historic rate.
Starting point is 00:36:41 A lot of companies are laying off a lot of people. So these companies who's trying to create a certain level of income are trying to come up with the best ways to get it quickly. to basically subsidize the fact that they're laying off thousands, if not millions, in some companies cases of people. So the PS5 Pro coming out this year with the pre-order starting only two weeks from now, and the console's not even coming out until, well, November's not that long from now, but still, two weeks from now, this console could technically be yours.
Starting point is 00:37:24 via a pre-order now that would definitely boost the sales for Sony especially with them having this price is $699 which is basically 700 which you know nowadays with the internet i don't know why they still go with the whole 99 to make it look lesser than it actually is like just put the 700 my brother like you are fooling nobody everybody can tell that that one extra dollar is uh going to round it up to a 700 so just might as well just put the number but anyways let's get into a everybody came for it so everybody is upset for the simple fact that the ultimate um addition to a console has been taken away and i say addition but the ultimate stamp of a console has been taken away what am i talking about the ps5 is supposed to be well the ps5 pro is coming out disc less meaning that you have
Starting point is 00:38:21 to purchase a separate blue ray disc drive and guess how much that would run your pocket is about $79. So I'm no mathematician, but I believe that raised the price to at least $779, which is basically $780. We're not even talking about tax. We're not even talking about a controller, a game. Some would say that most people getting the Pro Edition would be ones who are trading in their current PS5. And do you want to know the current PS5 trade in value? It's around $200 to $240. Ladies and gentlemen, that is not enough for a console that came out and was
Starting point is 00:39:09 highly coveted and was not available. But now you have one and they've cut the price more and half as far as the trading value. insane. But anyways, um, so that's another big thing a lot of people was noticing. And another one was that the overall, um, depiction of the PS5 pro had a little tidbit at the bottom, basically saying that the vertical stand is sold separately. Now, who came up with that idea? Because I, you know, I don't call for people to be fired. That's a little strong, you know? let's just say I'm highly upset and a lot of people are also highly upset that that's even a
Starting point is 00:39:54 thing that a little 50 cent piece of plastic is sold separately so anyways um what else I would get into a technical aspect but I'm saving it to the end I know for most people they don't care about the you know the technical side of things but I'm definitely getting into that and also analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because I'm also playing the technical showcase that PlayStation had for the conference. But some of the other things I wanted to touch on just before I got into the technological specs is that when it comes to the pricing, I get why everybody is upset. But to be honest, PC seems to be the superior platform right now to play games on.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I mean, you get the Xbox game pass on it. and then now what we used to think was PlayStation exclusives are now coming to PC. So PC is the premier console. When it comes to pricing, a lot of people say PCs are too expensive. To be honest, in today's state, as far as like different companies making different GPUs, CPU, RAM, things of that nature, the price range could be very, drastic as far as the difference. I would say a mid-range gaming PC
Starting point is 00:41:23 would probably be between 500 to 700 while a high-end gaming PC will ultimately run you 1,000 to 4,000. Probably more. I currently have a PC that I'm recording on right now. It was a part of my whole new upgrade as far as my setup. And
Starting point is 00:41:43 that ran me about 4 to 5,000. So unless you're a content creator who is actively making a revenue from the content you create, there's no reason to buy something like that. I would advise people to try to go for a mid-range gaming PC because you're probably just going to be playing regular games on it with your friends. You're not going to be running it through the ringer as far as pixel R or Adobe or. or just OBS or streaming all these different things that strenuous on a PC
Starting point is 00:42:24 you probably won't be running it through that so why do I say that a mid-range PC 500 to 700 is obviously cheaper than a PS5 Pro whereas PCs you can ultimately go in
Starting point is 00:42:40 and customize individual components like GPU CPU and RAM to keep your system them up today. So technically it's an investment and you can always upgrade it as you go along with consoles is a set piece of hardware that you have to get a whole new console to even upgrade, which is why this PS5 Pro is even a theme in general because a lot of people only play on console. So they only upgrade when they come out with a whole new console and wonder why they
Starting point is 00:43:13 be charging crazy amounts for you to. upgrade your set piece of hardware that you couldn't upgrade yourself so that's why i would say pc at this point in time it's ultimately the best gaming platform that you could buy so this is not ultimately a pc versus gaming or pc versus console situation because you know the choice depends on your priorities i'm just giving you what i think would give you the most longevity as far as value for your dollar so anyways um Let's get into the technical aspects as I know everybody and the mom loves when we get into the nitty-gritty, nerdy details. As if you don't know, the reason why the PS5 Pro is such a big deal is because the GPU is about 67% more compute as far as the units and 28% faster when it comes to memory than the base PS5, resulting in 45% faster rendering for a smoother gameplay.
Starting point is 00:44:18 So it's a noticeable gap and how much improved the PS5 Pro is versus the PS5. It's not the iPhone 15 to the iPhone 14. You know, there's a noticeable gap. I would say it's more like the two to three generation gap as far as we is comparing it to iPhone. It's more of a gap than most people let on. But another thing is that there is AI driven upscaling. you just knew that the huge conglomerance was going to use AI in a way to upscale and ultimately lay off people when it comes to the workforce because now AI can literally do whatever you want when it comes to mentally.
Starting point is 00:45:04 The only thing with AI is that the jobs where it takes physical labor, they're going to be harder to replace. I'm more so talking about like entertainment or sports, things of that nature. But when it comes to thinking and knowing the different laws, and that's if you apply it, and that's just a whole other segment, so I'm not going to get into that. But basically, AI is replacing a lot. And huge companies like Sony is finding a way to replace those jobs even faster. So anyways, AI-driven upscaling, which is, technically called the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution is using AI to upscale images delivering
Starting point is 00:45:51 sharper visuals on 4K TVs while maintaining performance. I'm not going to lie to y'all. I don't know anybody who out here just continuously buying 4K TVs. I mean, 1080p, 1440p, and call it a day. Like, I mean, 4K at that point, like my brother just become a director or something like nobody nobody wants to see all that like you're the only one that wants to see that image in that type of quality also let's talk about how overrated the feature rate tracing is because at some point i think we all believe that rate tracing was going to be what i became as far as the um the usability and the way it optimizes your performance but what we came to find out or come to find out is that all it does is makes the reflections and lighting and your
Starting point is 00:46:50 various games a little bit better that's literally it but you want to know the trade off for that the performance i remember playing cyberpunk and i had to turn off rate tracing because a lot of the things and well cyberpunk's the worst example because a lot of things was broken with that game but technically they fixed it so shout out to cd project red so i mean i'm speaking on the finished fixed version of cyro-punk. I was playing the game, and a lot of screen tearing was happening in things that nature
Starting point is 00:47:20 in certain, like, fast-paced boss fights to the point why I turned off ray tracing and never had that problem again for my like 100 to 200-hour playthrough for the game. So that's why I say ray tracing is a gift and a curse because the ultimate pros and cons
Starting point is 00:47:38 just don't match up. So the way that people hyped up rate tracing was just super over. Overblown and needs to be addressed honestly because they made ray tracing seem like it was going to be the chat by GPT of gaming Whole time. It was even a tenth of that. So what else? It was something else. I was going to get into. Okay, backward compatibility. I know that's a big thing for a lot of people. So the PS5 Pro's game boost feature enhances performance for over 8,800 PS4 games. even those without official enhancement patches making older titles run better than ever so that's a backwards compatibility factor that a lot of people was wondering about can i put my ps4 game into my console and they play it um technically that's a specific number of games so
Starting point is 00:48:33 i'm pretty sure it's not every game that you'll be able to just throw into your ps5 but it's probably the more dominant games when it comes to sales-wise that would be available as far as the backward compatibility feature. Another thing is that increased storage, PS5 Pro comes with two terabytes of SSD storage. Definitely increased from the PS5's 825 gigabyte because that was a rip-off. I mean, to this day, I'm still using my two-terabyte SSD that I bought. That was an extension of my PS5. And guess who's keeping that when I trade in my console?
Starting point is 00:49:16 That's what I'm saying. Make sure to take out the stuff you upgrade with because who is going to tell you, you think the GameStop employee going to be like, hey, you left this $80 piece of equipment in your console. Nah, they're just going to keep it. And then they're going to resell it. So make sure to take that out if you do plan on reselling your console. And of course, this was a huge complaint when it came to original PS5.
Starting point is 00:49:38 So to see PS5 Pro starting. out with two terabytes of storage is definitely a significant because technically they listen to feedback um of course with the game showcase you really can't win for losing as far as the game showcase because if you show a new game it's probably not going to be finished if you show a older game people are going to say why are you showing an older game from like 2018 2019 right so that point that people have when it comes to gaming, I don't know if I agree with that all the way. Because if you don't know how gaming or video game development works, it's a very tedious process. And imagine you're showing off a futuristic game that technically has win gold.
Starting point is 00:50:27 But people who are developers work up to the release date of games on a routine now. Like it's routine that developers will come out and talk about. about how much time they've spent developing on just the most minuscule stuff in a video game to make it look even better or run even better. So when it comes to the whole, oh, they're showing older games to show off the specs. I'm not mad at that because at least it's a finished game. Future games that are not even set to come out. I mean, goodness, which you think these, you think these games aren't coming out now for no reason?
Starting point is 00:51:05 Like, you think a game is just going to come out half-bake and then everybody's going to kill it like they did, cyberpunk like they're going to take the time with it and they're not going to use it for a showcase because guess what it's not finished so i'm not mad at them using older games to showcase the technological jumps and leaps when it comes to the PS5 pro so overall technical improvements are very impressive a significant gap from the original PS5 to the PS5 pro which isn't is to be expected because it's four years after the PS5 originally came out. So the only thing I'm very upset about, I mean like very upset, is the vertical stand
Starting point is 00:51:54 because it's the minus, it's the little stuff that they try to get away with, and then it just gets bigger over time. So first they take out the digital stand. Now to take away the ability to have a disc drive, and if you want a disc drive, you can buy the extension, which is $80, right? then what else are they going to do they're going to start selling these uh consoles without the cover now you got to buy the cover that's separate just oh it's only $25 and now you add up everything you might as well just get a high-end PC at that point so overall i think it's very uh
Starting point is 00:52:29 intricate subject it's uh it's not much it's not a black and white subject it's a lot of things that that comes with the development time that's put that is put in that's put in into in the research time that's put into this product that makes the price what it is. But the vertical stand, the disc, that stuff that should, that should just be a given. Like all the other things when it comes to the backward compatibility, the ray tracing, things in that nature, that's something we can nitpick. But as far as the disc and the vertical stand, I mean, we really are not asking for much to have that included in the initial bundle.
Starting point is 00:53:08 so um what else that was basically it so overall sony commitment to just push people's boundaries when it comes to to getting their uh benjamin and the the jackson like their jo um just never ceases to amaze me because one thing is definitely certain PlayStation will continue to be one of the most competitive companies in this ever evolved ever evolving gaming landscape so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you think about the ps5 pro being priced at $699 being set to come out november 7th but pre-orders will begin on september 26 so with that all being stated will you be upgrading to a ps5 pro or would you be upgrading to a ps5 pro or would you stick to the original PS5? Or if you don't have a PS5, would you be interested in getting a
Starting point is 00:54:11 PS5 Pro? You're probably wondering to yourself, why in the world are we covering a game that came out in the summer of 2015? Well, ladies and gentlemen, the resurgence of this video game came for the simple fact that Alien Romulus came to theaters August 16th, 2024. Now, of course, this movie, has grown more anticipation for the actual game that came out in the summer of 2015 because now a lot of people are going back to the game and recognizing the AI even giving it even more flowers for the simple fact that it's one of the more innovative AI evolutions that we've seen in recent time because if you don't know the game basically employs a dual AI system where one part known as the director AI oversees the game's tension by deciding when to introduce the
Starting point is 00:55:17 xenomorph into the player's vicinity without giving away the player's exact location. And then this AI ensures the game remains challenging and unpredictable. And of course you have the other side of the dual AI system where the alien AI controls the xenomorphs immediate actions based on its sensory perception, making it react more realistically to players' actions. So a lot of people came out to say that this is a very innovative feature and it's one of the greatest AIs that they've ever went against because when it is offered on a discount as far as PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam,
Starting point is 00:55:56 when it comes to an 80% discount because of the movie being launched, driving more players to play the game, that they basically highlight the AI factor in with the spiked sales and gameplay retention, as far as the consumer is considered, you can only base it off of Alien Romulus that just came out to the movie theaters, because why else would everybody revisit this video game? So when this game eventually, well, when the game came out February 2015, it sold over 1 million copies worldwide. And of course, mid-2019, it surpassed 2.1 million copies across Europe and U.S. So it took a significant amount of time for this to catch steam.
Starting point is 00:56:39 But a lot of people were waiting for the bundles, the sales, to get this game. So when it comes to overall AI system, that's basically what's contributing to the biggest hype when it comes to the game. Because the persistence tension and the fear of the fear created by the unpredictability of the encounters. And of course, the mimicking the suspense of the original alien film, you get a lot of people to, get just engulfed into the game simply off of the environment created. And coming off of the movie Romulus, you get to realize that a lot of people are humongous alien fans and there's no wonder while we keep receiving these alien movies every other year.
Starting point is 00:57:25 So alien isolation has seen a revival in player interest and is definitely driven by the fact that the movie is out. So that's pretty simple in itself, right? Some of the other things I was wanting to touch on was that, not only did it take from 2015 to 2019 to surpass 2.1 million copies, but it seems to only be going up because the current player count is at 1,800 concurrent on Steam. And of course, this was of me recording this, so it may be lower, maybe higher. But this is the highest since April 2020. Previously, the highest was in summer 2015 shortly after the game was released. So you come to realize
Starting point is 00:58:04 that people will come back to a game if it's good. And if you have supporting content to go around it, the supporting content for this specific game would probably be the movie Alien Romulus because people saw the movie, people probably wondered to themselves, I wonder if there's an alien game I could play. And then guess what? Alien isolation pops up and the AI innovation is back once again to surprise fans
Starting point is 00:58:30 because they did not think a 2015 year old game would have this type of AI because everybody knows the evolution of AI nowadays. So when you're looking at the dual AI system that was introduced in 2015, a lot of players are just saying that the horror experience is just greatly enhanced because they don't know what's going to happen. I mean, the whole environment feels alive and dangerous. Players often feel that they're not just playing against a scripted AI,
Starting point is 00:58:55 but more of an enemy that's adapting to how they play the game, which is very rare, if I might add. Like the way that you actually go at a video game, you can probably guess where AI is going to go as far as the patterns. Usually they go to one location, they go to another, and then it's very predictable as far as you play the game. But with this one, you don't play the game. The game is basically playing you because at the same,
Starting point is 00:59:20 at the entire time, the entire time you're playing the game, it's learning the way you move around and is adapting and using intelligence and unpredictability in the alien movements and tactics to throw you off. So it's just so many different ways you can have this game impact you, but it's basically off your gameplay. So that's why it's just so innovative. That's why I keep saying that word because the 2015 game in 2024 being celebrated
Starting point is 00:59:49 for its AI system just seems backwards, right? Especially when almost a decade has passed since the game has been released. So when it comes to its influence on other game developers, I mean, exploring the AI systems may have led to the future evolution of AI because not only does the AI control the enemies, but also dynamically alters the game environments and narratives based on the player's decisions, pushing toward a more personalized game and experience. If you know anything about the podcast, Notorious Mass Effect, is named after one of my favorite
Starting point is 01:00:21 games of all time for that simple, or not simple, but for the fact that it has a customizable narrative experience based on your decisions. and it actually affects the outcome of the game. So this is no different. So when it comes to players playing this game and giving increased enthusiasm after revisiting or maybe even going back to a game
Starting point is 01:00:46 that they've gone back to this game when they've already played it, they come to realize that this AI enhances the horror and survival elements to a place where they've rarely experienced and especially for a 2015 game to do that. I mean, it's just
Starting point is 01:01:02 the icing on the cake. So when it comes to the actual, the actual movie, I mean, I don't know if people like it or not. I mean, I think I've seen some reviews for the movies, but I'm not a movie reviewer. I mean, if you want to see a reviewer for a movie, I would go to like Grace Randolph, which is a beyond the trailer or Jeremy Johns with their review of the alien movie, if they reviewed it. But as far as alien isolation and the way that they've switched up the overall sentiment when it comes to these type of games as far as it being cookie cutter and easy to figure out this game is is far from that i mean it adapts to your play styles it learns from your behavior uh and it will check hiding spots more frequently if you use them often so
Starting point is 01:01:47 as far as a random occurrence i mean it's just so many that can happen in the midst of your playthrough of this game but you know overall i mean the a i i i mean the a i system is just widely regarded as a benchmark for enemy intelligence. And you'd be like, you hear that, Ubisoft. There's actually ways you can upgrade your AI system to have your enemy intelligence higher. So with that being said, I mean, the revival interest, the sales being driven back up to highest peak since it originally came out. Like once again, like 1800 concurrent players on Steam.
Starting point is 01:02:22 And that's not even counting the consoles like PlayStation and Xbox. And basically the peak and player count is the highest since summer 2015 when it was originally released. So these are some pretty significant numbers that this is driving up. Obviously, it's not chart topping. But for the game, I mean, the game's more alive than it was when it originally came out. So for the AI to be a highlight of the game when it came out in 2015, I mean, I don't know what to say about that other than that's just phenomenal. So I would definitely play that game if you have some spare time just to maybe stream something that, especially getting into October, streaming something that adds more of a horror element based on the way that you play. I mean, it's just very unpredictable and more importantly, well, most importantly, organic.
Starting point is 01:03:15 So this game legacy would just continue to live on as the AI innovation continues to inspire other gaming developers. and as far as a revival with the sequel, I mean, you put out a sequel with multi-player mode or something like that, the sky is the limit for this franchise. So, I mean, but this franchise has been going on for so long that they obviously know what they're doing. So with this game, I would definitely play it, especially getting into October, seems like one of the more horror genre game standouts in 2024. And with that being said, you know, click my link, sure in my bio, Let me know one of my social media's.
Starting point is 01:03:55 What do you think about the movie Alien Romulus? Like, what score do you give that? And as far as alien isolation, a game that came out in 2015, but still to the day, wows people with their AI innovative features. Will you be giving it a try? Warhammer has another classic on their hands as Space Marine to a third-person shooter, hack and slash video game developed by Sabre Interactive. and published by Focus Interactive has made their stamp on 2024.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Because one thing to note about 2024 is that the overall landscape of Game of the Year contenders is very slim. So for two games to come back to bat and seemingly have just the front run or the front runner when it comes to the overall game of the year race when we're in September is very interesting and just showcase how 24 hasn't been lackluster, but just hasn't been filled with just straight 10 out of 10s like a Baldur's Gate or an Eldon ring.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Because of course the DLC came out this year, but who's really going to nominate or just let alone let a DOC be game of the year, right? If that's the case, then all of these different games are going to start putting out DLCs who win game of the year and people are just going to have a hard conversation
Starting point is 01:05:23 as far as the ability to let DLCs win certain awards. So with that said to aside, no need to jump the gun on this one. As Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 was released September 9th for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X and S. Now, one of the things I love to get into is video game sales, because the biggest thing when it comes to gaming, is that everybody plays primarily the same games when it comes to call the duty first person shooter type games or sports games that's usually the top five of every single platform but if i have it right here i believe yeah so for xbox for playstation and for uh steam we're going to get into the actual stats for warhammer as a hundred
Starting point is 01:06:23 160,000 people are playing the game right now, and it has a consistency of 150,000 as far as how many people continuously play the game. So Warhammer is the six most played game on Steam. So with that being said, let's switch over to the PlayStation platform. So this was interesting because interestingly enough, Warhammer is nowhere to be found in the top 10 as far as PlayStation games. I don't know if PlayStation gamers just don't play games or if one of the games I've already got into as far as an Astrobite, which is so phenomenal, they tried to push Warhammer to the back. Because the biggest thing with Astrobot is that it is definitely a game with a your contender. Whenever you compare a game to Mario and people are actually okay with that comparison, you realize that this game must be on another level. Because if you don't know, Mario is the greatest video.
Starting point is 01:07:23 video game character ever created. So if you're comparing a PlayStation exclusive, which just started out as a character to get you used to the adaptive triggers on PlayStation, but now it has its own game and people are comparing it to Mario. And the general consensus is that they agree with the comparison. You come to realize that Astrobyte is definitely number one when it comes to a frontrunner for Game of the Year. So Warhammer is nowhere to be found on PlayStation's top 10s that top 10 games list.
Starting point is 01:07:57 So switching over to Xbox, that is where it gets interesting because of course, that is where I think I lost my place. I definitely lost my place. Let me a second. Okay, here we go. Yeah, that is where Warhammer is actually the second most played game on the platform. So if an Xbox player is out here, I mean, it's not like Astrobot could be. No, just fly.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Let me chill. All right, my fault. my fault I ain't mean to do all that so basically space marine two is uh the second most played game on the xbox platform whereas on the PlayStation platform even though they have the game it's not even in the top 10 so uh I thought that was interesting to point out because on steam is the top six most play game well it's the number six most play game on steam so interesting how that works out I don't know if it's politics I don't know what it is but as far as it being on all the platforms and only being in a top 10 on two of them, whereas one has an exclusive doing pretty well right now. I don't know if
Starting point is 01:08:57 there's politics or I don't know if people actually are playing Astrobot over Warhammer, which if they are, I mean, it makes sense because that's on my list to play. I mean, I have outlaws in Astroby on my list as far as this month to play, and Warhammer's not even, it's not even on my list. Not saying it's a bad game. It's just I don't want to get into it. But what we are going to get into as far as this specific segment is the review round up in the sale so like i just said with the different platforms warhammer is the six most play game on steam the second most play game on xbox and when it comes to being a top seller it was a top number one top seller so passing steam deck and cs2 micro transactions so when it comes to
Starting point is 01:09:45 other platforms when it when it um when the quality level is is being uh basically when the quality level is being looked at a lot of people are saying that the multiplayer mode includes a lot of cooperative and competitive modes but has been critiqued for not having a deep long-term engagement which the game just came out so I don't know how much credence you can give to that overall the game is the fastest selling ever worked on by saber interactive CEO Tim Wilts uh well willets I think that's how you say it so it's the fastest game ever worked on by the CEO I know ever worked on but
Starting point is 01:10:26 by Sabre interactive so it's outperforming previous Warhammer titles on Steam such as total Warhammer 3 and every other entry into Warhammer because they said it's the fastest ever fastest selling ever probably means that it beat out
Starting point is 01:10:47 every other installment in a franchise So that is to say that Warhammer definitely has a lot of lore. That's what I realized getting into the community that the overall story of Warhammer is, I mean, elongated. It's not even the right word. I mean, it's just a very, very deep story as far as what they've written so far. So this just plays off of that. But if you want to learn the entire story, it may take you a while. But apparently the art channels out there with like 16 hours of wrap up.
Starting point is 01:11:18 It's like at that point, my brother, just watched a movie. Like goodness. So anyways, when it comes to Warhammer, currently, a lot of the players are just talking about the game saying that the experience is very, very engaging, and people are very much in enjoyment of the replayable missions and the way that you can attack different missions, the way you can attack missions differently. And the emphasis on customization, allowing players to tailor the. there's space marines appearance and gear that's a standout for people uh if you don't know there's
Starting point is 01:11:53 six different classes as you can see right here analytic dreams videos uh on spotify to see the video along with the audio for my people listening on podcast um there's a tactical assault vanguard a bull work what in the world i don't know what that is a sniper and then heavy so from first glance it does seem like bull work whatever that is seems to be the most uh physical one as it has a sword and the shield and all the other classes have guns well no the assault has like a hammer i don't know what that is so anyways uh yeah those are the six different classes as far as the uh combat let's just say it's beyond brutal as far as the um gore as as you can see right now i mean they definitely don't shy away from the amount of blood that's coming out of the enemies so um the superhuman combat
Starting point is 01:12:40 abilities definitely play uh a part into the intense action against the horrors of the tyrant tiran I think that's how you said. The tyranids? I don't know. I don't know how you pronounce it. Let me see. Hold up. The tyrannids.
Starting point is 01:12:58 The tyrannis. It's probably a tyrantus. That's funny. I had to read it out to me. I still don't agree with it. So anyways, as far as the reception, I mean, across the board, people have been giving it high praise. As far as IGM has praised it for its engaging in combat, giving it an 8.5 out of 10, talking about the compelling story, the variety of weapons, the engaging in combat. GameSpot gave it an 8 out of 10 basically highlighting the games brutal and riveting action,
Starting point is 01:13:27 noting that it's a worthy successor to the original PC gamer gave it a 75 out of 100 saying they appreciated the game's initial impact, but they said, oh, that 75 out of 100 is definitely one of the lower scores. It says it felt like it lost momentum over time. That's interesting. And then VG247, I do know that gaming company, but I forgot the, uh, I forgot it had so many different letters and numbers attached to it like goodness. But anyways, they called it one of the best Warhammer games ever released
Starting point is 01:13:59 and said that it's a faithful adaption to the Warhammer universe. Like I said, it's a lot of lore that goes into Warhammer. And when it comes to lore, I mean, you might as well just play the game because it's going to take you a while to learn what's all going on in the Warhammer universe. But ultimately, it's a PVE type of game, meaning that you play with players. but you're going against the computer so that's what pvee means so um what else there was something else i was wanting to get into i think it may be it uh oh okay so asht oh there's just astrobi news uh yeah i probably don't hear about that um so yeah that's basically it overall as far as uh
Starting point is 01:14:45 a slasher game when it comes to shooting and hacking slash and having a video game with so much lore and depth and actually caring about the world that is crafting, and if you just want to shoot, um, shoot around with your buddies. I mean, this is one of the perfect games to pick up with a friend or things of that nature. So, uh, from the general consensus, people are saying that this is one of the game of the year contenders and we'll see if it actually ends up keeping that spot in the near future. So what that means I click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social media is.
Starting point is 01:15:16 What do you think about Warhammer 40,000, Spanx Marine 2? And with it already being released on September 9th for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X and S, will you be giving it a try? My brothers and sisters, today we gather in solidarity, not just for a game, but for a principal. We stand here united against the oppression of NBA 2K micro-transactions. Those digital shackles that bind our wallets and still our joy. They tempt us with shiny packs and digital rewards, but they keep us locked in a system where skill and dedication no longer determined success only the weights of our pockets. I say to you today, no more.
Starting point is 01:16:23 For too long, we have been lured with the false promise of victory, buried beneath virtual coins and elusive packs. We've been told that if we pay a little more, if we just reach a little deeper into our bank accounts, we too can bask in the glory of the game. Can I get an amen? If we just come together, my brothers and sisters, and recognize that this is a system designed to profit from our passion, a system that exploits our love for the basketball game, turn and get into a game of chance, not skill.
Starting point is 01:17:07 But I have a dream. A dream where gamers from all backgrounds can play on an even, court where the content of their character not the content of their credit cards determines their success i have a dream that one day we will log and experience the pure joy of the game free from the relentless pressures of micro transactions thank you thank you thank you tap your neighbor and say i know that's right all right thank you settle down settle down settle down that's all right all right Let's get into the main reason for the segment. All jokes aside, NBA 2K-25.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something. Now, this specific game is always breaking the charts when it comes to sales, as they're the top most played, whether they're the most played game or Xbox, most played game on PlayStation, but more importantly, it is nowhere to be found on Steam. Why is that? Because for the simple fact that 2K interactive and, their hatred for a PC modders is at an all-time high. Why is that?
Starting point is 01:18:45 Because basically the modders can take the game and make it better than they can as far as the developing studio. Which you would think is a high, you would think as a highlight, right? Not to the developers. They see it as a slap in the face, especially when certain moders put things that people believe should already be in the game and make it to the point where some were saying that actual PC my GM mode is way better and much better than a console edition simply for the fact that you can customize a lot more when it comes to the modding standpoint in the PC community. But that's not what we're here to talk about today.
Starting point is 01:19:22 NBA 2K25 of course is out now on all platforms and its release is being coveted by a lot of gamers for the simple fact that it actually has significant changes to its gameplay engine. more specifically the dribble engine has been described as the biggest change in recent years and this includes more lifelike gameplay as far as the new shooting mechanics like shot canceling rhythm shooting and more nuanced defense options which a lot of people who played the game was clamoring for and these changes of course makes the gameplay more realistic and skill based but of course microchic i came to talk micro transactions once again is back to rear its ugly head as the reoccurring criticism for 2K NBA 2K's reliance on micro transactions is still here as players find it more challenging than ever to play my career without investing an additional amount of money right you pay for the base game which is like 70 to 100 plus dollars if you want the deluxe edition And then only to realize that you really can't hoop at all if you don't spend extra money on micro transactions, which some would say is a little unfair because if you're going to put so much emphasis on your player becoming better, quicker with micro transactions, then why not make the game free to play?
Starting point is 01:20:55 And then we would understand why micro transactions are so pivotal into making your my player actually playable on courts against other players. years. So with that being said, you know, the improvements to the gameplay is notable. And I would say the NBA 2K25 definitely points out certain issues and addresses them. Because if you think about it, you know, putting to the side that micro career, that my career sucks without micro transactions, the gameplay in the NBA games is always good. But this year, they really took. some strides with the gameplay, like I said, as far as the shooting mechanics, the shot canceling, the more skill-based dribbling, the making more lifelike, as far as the realism aspect. And then, of course, the different game modes have been continuous due to the heavy
Starting point is 01:21:50 reliance on certain stars in the NBA and WMBA, respectively. Because now WMBA is getting more shine as far as their player base. And, you know, girls also enjoy gaming. So that's another thing to point out and why they would even focus on my, why they would even focus on WNBA because sometimes you will look at it and you will say to yourself, why in the world do we have WMBA when NBA by far and away is the way more profitable side of basketball? Well, just to include everybody, because inclusion is very important.
Starting point is 01:22:30 I think that the WMBA and the improvements upon WMBA is much needed, especially with rise of popularity when it comes to that specific league so 2k 25 seems to be more of a seems to be undergoing more changes when it comes to the dribbling aspect but every other aspect in a game seems to be more of the same which is is what you can expect from an NBA 2k video uh what you can expect from an NBA 2k installment because my if micro transactions are going to be continued to be bought by the consumer base, why even try to improve your game when people are still going out the way to pay an enormous, enormous goodness. That's a new-made-up word if I ever heard. So anyways,
Starting point is 01:23:19 a ginormous amount of money into the micro-transaction system. So with that being said, of course the technical problems are still there as far as the lag, as far as latency being the issue. I mean, one of the biggest ways you can get around that is definitely using an ethernet cord. But at the end of the day, I mean, if you go to the park, you're going to experience some type of latency because 2K would never prioritize having smooth 60 frames or even 30 frames in a basketball game because, of course, they have to put all these, like, look at how many people was just watching this game right here. Oh, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. But as you can see right here, all of this stuff going on in the
Starting point is 01:24:03 background. Some would say it adds to the realism. Some would say that it completely is why the latency is the way it is as far as the community feedback is concerned. And another thing I want to note was the actual review roundup of NBA 2K25 because that's something I also wanted to get into. But basically, the review roundup for NBA 2K25 is what you can expect. 7.5 out of 10 from IGN saying that the overall well no no okay so 7.5 out of 10 from IGN
Starting point is 01:24:38 7 out of 10 for game spot with them praising the game for improved graphics and realistic gameplay but mentioned that the micro transactions could be a bit intrusive you don't say Polygon gave NBA 2K25
Starting point is 01:24:55 a 8.5 out of 10 saying that they like the game's enhancements as far as the animations is concerned and the new features in my team mode making it the most play for basketball fans you see how they they don't even address micro transactions in the in the slightest it's very interesting how some companies love to point out the micro transactions and the amount of grind you have to put in without buying additional VC and then you realize that they want you to buy VC there's no way you can put that amount of hours to a game and and
Starting point is 01:25:28 basically convince me that you have an actual job there's just no much It's no amount of hours that you can put into a game like my career without micro transactions without telling me that you just are unemployed. So we're having enough time on your side is very much a factor into leveling up your my career player without microtransactions. But of course, most people don't have time like that to play this game day in and day out. So with that being said, they end up paying for a lot of different micro transactions and
Starting point is 01:26:02 the grind for VC is very tedious to the point where they basically force you to buy VC to get your my player to a certain point when it comes to my career. So anyways, that's basically the tip is that I wanted to get into. As far as to my career in the city, I mean, it's the same-mo, same-same-mo. It's definitely nothing innovative. It's the same my city that we've seen, well, it's the same city that we've seen in a while. While it does have some new areas and activities that provides additional currency is still the same grind in the same city that has you doing pointless tasks to the point where it's like why am I even doing this in the first place because uh I could just buy micro transactions so well I can just buy bc so with that being said uh that's all I had to say about NBA 2k 25
Starting point is 01:26:48 I just wanted to touch on the game because it came out I totally forgot it came out which would definitely take my hoop a card you know because ain't nobody doing in real life you know I mean dropping triple doubles at here but you know that's besides point so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know on one of my social medias what do you think about NBA 2k 25 and ultimately what do you think about the sales and the actual review roundups of the game and do you think that because of everybody still being in the shackles of 2k 25 as far as micro transactions do you think that one day we will come together to fight for our freedom all right another major story today the battle over ticot a bipartisan effort to ban the popular
Starting point is 01:27:36 app unless it's Chinese owner's sales is facing its first test in federal appeals court today NBC's Capitol Hill correspondent Ryan nobles is in DC following that story for us hey Ryan good morning analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio for my podcast listeners but we are here once again in the ongoing battle between TikTok and the u.s government now before I get more into detail about how the entire case is unfolding. Let's get into one of the major factors as far as the overall lawsuit is considered. And let's continue the video. Hoda, good morning. TikTok's owners bite dance planned to argue in federal court this morning that not only is this potential ban unconstitutional, it's also not technologically possible. Congress passed
Starting point is 01:28:31 the law last year, giving bite dance until January of 2025 to divest their interest in the app where the app would no longer be available in the U.S. Lawmakers have argued that TikTok is being used by the Chinese government as a way to capture the data of average Americans and to be used as a propaganda tool. Say it ain't so. What the U.S. doing with Instagram, Twitter, let me, let me stop, let me stop. You know, I am a proud American. So, you know, let's not just point out obvious things that makes us look like a hypocrite, right?
Starting point is 01:29:04 So anyways, let's keep going. Threat. On the other hand, Bight Dan says that banning the app would violate the First Amendment rights, not only of the company, but of the hundreds of millions of Americans that use the platform. They're asking the federal court to render a decision soon in order to give the Supreme Court the final say before the ban is potentially set to take effect early next year. The bottom line, there is still a long road to go. Hey, thank you.
Starting point is 01:29:33 So, of course, that was eloquently. put, but the thing you should primarily consider when looking at this entire case is that the law was signed by President Biden forcing TikTok's parent company bite dance to divest its U.S. assets or face a ban. So this is not some run-of-the-mill type of lawsuit that TikTok is facing. This is basically the head honcho of the United States of America, basically co-signing that TikTok either needs to divest or face a ban in the United States. So no need to reiterate that point or be the dead horse. But one of the biggest, one of the more vital parts of this scenario is Andrew Pinkas.
Starting point is 01:30:30 I think that's how you said. I don't know, Pyncas. Anyways, TikTok's main attorney claim that this law suit is unfairly targeting the platform and limiting speech based on potential future risk. And they also argue that the ban would limit 170 million U.S. users disrupting the ability to communicate uniquely through TikTok. Well, that is definitely a nice point to make as far as word salad being considered.
Starting point is 01:31:06 It holds no weight in a grand scheme of things because I don't know if y'all are old enough to remember Vine, but Vine was at a point where we didn't think that was easily replaceable. And look where we are in 2024. Nobody even brings up Vine anymore. So as far as TikTok being one of the more pivotal places to uniquely communicate, there will always be a another copycat app out there that may do things a little bit better than you as far as having a post on a culture that you always have to compete with. But that's just life in general. So back to TikTok. TikTok denied that they are sharing U.S. user data with the Chinese government stating that
Starting point is 01:31:52 divest, what is that? Hold up. Give me one second. I've never seen this word before. Divestiture is technological Divestiture Okay, nah, that's That's too many different syllables for me That's like a tongue twister I ain't gonna lie to you So anyways
Starting point is 01:32:15 As you heard the AI bot readoff Divestature is technologically, commercially and legally impossible Like I said, a lot of words sell it
Starting point is 01:32:27 So of course the US government came back and it was like No it's not And you are a national security threat So you are facing a ban unless you divest into American companies. So where are we going to find our solution with this lawsuit? I think the crucial component is the 90-page agreement with the U.S. government as far as what TikTok proposed.
Starting point is 01:32:56 If U.S. takes TikTok up on their proposal on including third-party management and monitoring, as far as its algorithm and content moderation, this will all be resolved. So a lot of people talk about problems, but never, ever bring up solutions, like ever, or even suitable solutions for what they're complaining about. So this is something I wanted to highlight because it's definitely an important element of this entire lawsuit because if U.S. government accepts TikTok's, uh, TikTok's, proposal as far as including third party monitoring of its algorithm and content moderation, I think that's a fair middle ground between these two stances that TikTok and the U.S.
Starting point is 01:33:50 government has taken. But as of now, it's just a proposal. U.S. government has not taken it yet. And as far as the date that bite dance, which is the owners of TikTok, have to find some type of conclusion. Either they divest to U.S. assets or they face a ban. And as far as that deadline set by President Biden, they have until January 19th, 2025. As far as TikTok, in the way that the Justice Department is coming at them for violating
Starting point is 01:34:25 the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, which is COPA in abbreviation, and then accusing them on the same front of collection. collecting data from children under 13 without parental consent. One could argue other social media companies like Google, YouTube meta, have faced similar lawsuits, not even half a face. They have factually. They face similar lawsuits over privacy and data collection practices for minors in the past. So that is why I bring that up when we're talking about TikTok because there's no need to make China look like the bad. guy in this instance and that's the highlight word in this well highlight phrase in this instance
Starting point is 01:35:13 because overall i'm not a political platform but let's just say um things are getting interesting right but in this specific instance china seems to be putting forth an actually uh fair proposal as far as how to deal with ticot going forward because instagram Twitter. I literally just read it off. I mean, Google, YouTube meta, which is the owners of everything. Basically, they have went through these antitrust and privacy lawsuits in the past. So TikTok is just no different.
Starting point is 01:35:52 The only thing with TikTok is that it is owned by China, which is why this unique language is only used in this specific instance because it's China owned. So when you come to divest into U.S. assets or face a ban, Instagram can't face that type of verbiage. Twitter is not going to face that type of verbiage. Google is not going to ever face that type of verbiage. So that is what makes this so distinctly unique is that TikTok will continue to be one of the most influential platforms on the planet or on the planet.
Starting point is 01:36:34 and the U.S. Supreme Court definitely has a couple issues with that as far as the amount of data they're collecting from their citizens. So that's the biggest thing when we get into TikTok. Something else that I wanted to touch on was people coming out talking about how this legal confrontation not only affects TikTok's future in the U.S., but in a broader scope, it does shine a light on the next. national security privacy free speech i mean there's a lot of things that's being touched on with this lawsuit that people don't really want to address as far as the our own issues in the united states so targeting something that's owned from overseas is very peculiar when your own companies in america don't follow the same guidelines so that's the only thing that's the main thing i wanted to talk about because at the end of day, I mean, so many different companies make money from
Starting point is 01:37:42 TikTok and if they're willing to throw five to 200 to 300 million dollars away as far as the collaborative promotion they'd be getting from TikTok, then I mean, I guess it's up to them to effectively rule in the favor of TikTok or the United States government when a ruling a decision when a ruling decision is made by December 6. So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio and let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about TikTok versus the U.S. government? And at the end of the day, which side are you on?
Starting point is 01:38:23 More trouble for Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation as 10 more states have joined the antitrust lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice, 29 other states and Washington, D.C. in May, accusing ticket. master of acting as a monopoly and inflating concert ticket prices. This followed outrage by consumers, specifically Taylor Swift fans, who had trouble accessing tickets to her heiress tour. Now, two things for certain is that three things for certain. Four, five, six, seven, eight million things for certain is that if you make the Swifties upset, they will come after you because Taylor Swift's is the biggest gangster in the music industry so when it comes to the amount of power she has as far as causing change best believe she's going to get it done so whenever she goes on tour and then her fan base starts to target the actual companies behind these exorbitant amount of ticket prices and pointing out how this is a legal monopoly
Starting point is 01:39:44 then you get to the point where these type of lawsuits happen. So Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio as she goes into more detail. The attorneys general of Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah, and Vermont joined the case on Monday as the DOJ issued an amended complaint with more allegations against the live entertainment companies. along with the DOJ's goals of breaking up Live Nation and Ticketmaster, and quote, restoring competition in the live concert industry. States are now seeking trouble damages for what they say fans were overcharged. With claims being filed under federal anti-monopoly laws, states have the ability to seek three times the monetary damages.
Starting point is 01:40:34 New York Attorney General Leticia James said in a... All right, so jumping in here again, basically the accusation that Live Nation have destroyed concerts is a very valid response based on the past 50 years. Some people would say it's because of inflation, but concerts used to cost less than $50 to see some of the biggest acts on planet Earth. Now, people are out here paying thousands of dollars in indie venues are going bankrupt for the simple fact that ticket maps. slash live nation is just out here taking over the industry in the way that leads them to
Starting point is 01:41:24 inflated ticket prices harming certain artists when it goes to well when it comes to them going on tour and not going through them as far as their actual overall tours being considered because one of the main people I'll probably point out as far as the victim of this and not really playing ball when it comes to Lob Nation and rock um almost say rock nation wrong that's the wrong nation um when it comes to playing ball with ticking master and lob nation is a rod wave he went with a very unique path he went on a very unique path as far as his tourist is considered and usually whenever you do not go through live nation it parent that a lot of things start to happen as far as news coming out about maybe a show being
Starting point is 01:42:21 or not performing as well maybe people are showing up and at the same time or the whole time you could be selling out every arena so they definitely play dirty games when it comes to the overall consumption of having every artist go through them as far as them going on tour because live nation manages over 400 artists and they control around 60% 60% of concert promotions. So that's more than 265 concerts, concert venues in North America. Combined that with the fact that Ticketmaster controls roughly 80% of ticket sales
Starting point is 01:43:01 for major concert venues, then you get to the point where Live Nation and Ticketmaster have significant control over both primary and secondary ticket sales, which is why these type of lawsuits are coming through as far as saying that it's a, well, it's an illegal monopoly. Statement, it's time for a new era where fans, venues, and artists are not taken advantage of by big corporations that run the world of live events. In the updated complaint, the DOJ uses internal Live Nation documents it obtained during the legal process to make its point. The DOJ says Live Nation owns or controls more than 265 concert venues.
Starting point is 01:43:45 in North America, and through Ticketmaster, controls roughly... Dang, who said that? Who said that first? That was me, wasn't? That's crazy. Major venue's primary ticketing. That boy, do his research.
Starting point is 01:43:56 No, it's what. The suit says internal live nation documents indicated, Ticketmaster is the primary ticketer for about 80% of the U.S. arenas that hosts NBA or NHL teams, adding no other rival ticketed more than 14%. The DOJ points to Ticketmasters use... All right, now I'm going to jump back in because I'm Obviously, with this overall evolution and just the advancement of the conversation when it comes to these lawsuits, you come to realize that Ticketmaster introduced in 2019 just completely took over the game.
Starting point is 01:44:32 I mean, who really thought that Ticketmaster would come and just take over the game like this as far as 2019 to 2024? In the short span of time, they control 60%. actually that's ticket master i'm talking about uh ticket master controls roughly 80% of ticket sales for major concert venues so whenever you start to see higher prices to the point where you feel like it's an exorbitant amount it's egregious it's unfair and there's additional additional fees tacked alongside that that's referred to as the ticket master tax you can see how people start to point out the reduce competition being a factor into why live nation and ticket master feel like they can just act like this and nobody's going to say anything because not only does it
Starting point is 01:45:29 harm fans but it also harms smaller artists venues because it limits the opportunities and creative expression as far as the live music industry. Because if you have a huge conglomerate, taking over every single venue by force and having dominance over the market, then you get to set your price whenever it gets to that point where everybody's looking at you to go through their, everybody's looking at you for when they want to go on tour. because they know if they don't go through you stuff will be played behind the scenes to get you to a point where everybody is going to start getting certain propaganda on your tour not selling well maybe um your own professional you know just a lot of different back door behind the scenes tactics that's used by huge conglomerates whenever they don't get their way
Starting point is 01:46:32 So that being said, I think honestly, the noteworthy aspect of this entire segment is just that Live Nation and Ticketmaster controls in an illegal amount of market space when it comes to live performing allegedly. You know, I'm not trying to get sued. You know what I'm saying? But that is why you see this formation like the second coming of Ultron with 39 states coming. coming together and putting together an illegal monopoly type of lawsuit like this. Because if you're going to go after Lobb Nation and Ticketmaster, it's not going to be one. It's not going to be 10, 20, 30 people to come together to make them change their minds. It's going to have to be the amount of states it is currently with 39 states coming together to go after Lobb Nation and Ticketmaster for a,
Starting point is 01:47:32 having an illegal monopoly which is basically leading to inflated ticket prices harming the smaller musicians and venues and then ultimately reducing competition which is why the anti-monopoly laws are in place for the that's why the anti-monopoly laws exist in the first place so anyways I think there was something else I was wanting to get into so that was basically the main thing because oh yeah so live nations defense to be fair they have said that the vertical integration of ticketing and promotion services benefit consumers way more than people are leading on and that the lawsuit ignores the broader competitive landscape as far as live entertainment market and then doge's stance which is the other side the attorney general merrick garland
Starting point is 01:48:32 have came out and said that breaking up, well, that breaking up Live Nation and Ticketmaster needs to happen because of their practices violating antitrust laws when it comes to reducing competition and increasing prices for the consumers. So those are the rebuttals from both sides as far as where they stand in the midst of this entire lawsuit because this is a pretty big deal. Like, I'm on the side of the people. So when it comes to Doge and then wanting to split up a monopoly, I'm all for it because I have seen so many different people going to different lawsuit, going to different live concerts. And over time, they start to talk about how it effectively, you know, leaves them dry as far as their pockets.
Starting point is 01:49:29 I mean, some would say that's a money management thing. but I mean back in the day you was able to go to like two three four concerts a year and really not break the bank nowadays that's not even a thing like if you really want to get into it some of the biggest concerts that people go to is festivals for a reason it's because now when you look at it that's more bang for your bucks simply for the fact that all these inflated ticket prices are through the roof so live nation and ticket master as a business model is just getting to a point where they are involving revenue by securing tickets and then reinforcing the tickets and then reinforcing the tickets well reselling the tickets again as far as what they call I figure what they call those but basically it's a known strategy for people to buy tickets and resell them but for Ticketmaster they really make their money off of that system and that's why they market up the prices the way they do because somehow magically all the tickets are taken and then the exorbitant prices take up those slots as far as wanting to buy those tickets again.
Starting point is 01:50:39 But hey, I want to get into conspiracy land. I just want to tell you that there's a reason why this lawsuit includes 39 states. So, yeah, at the end of the day, Ticketmaster definitely has a lot to, they definitely have a lot to address. And they have to speak for themselves when it comes to this lawsuit. suit as far as illegal monopoly because 39 states coming together there's there's it's not a coincidence there's a reason why 39 states are coming together to battle and challenge live nations and ticket master's dominance when it comes to the overall live performance as far as the live
Starting point is 01:51:25 entertainment sector so that being said click by link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about ticket master and live nation facing multiple lawsuits from a combined 39 states and which side are you on you're breaking news to tell you about Sean p. Diddy combs has been arrested according to TMZ according to the new york times he was indicted in new york by a federal grand jury and was just taken into custody in manhattan as we know he's been in the subject of an investigation for some time now Marla. Fox 11 was first on the scene in fact in March here's that shot from Sky Fox when federal agents raided his homeby hills so this is connected to that
Starting point is 01:52:21 raid there was also a raid of his property in Miami his team tonight his attorney putting out a statement saying quote he is the imperfect person but is not criminal and goes on to say that they are disappointed with the decision to pursue what they believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs. So we're going to have a lot more on this throughout the night. So Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because right now I'm just playing the breaking news of Diddy being arrested.
Starting point is 01:52:54 Now, of course, you want to see justice for the illegal actions of Sean P. Diddy Combs. On the other hand, as a fan of hip-hop. this is just sad to see because whether y'all want to recognize it or not diddy is arguably the top three most influential figure in hip hop as far as the genre whether you're talking about being the founder of bad boy records and some may be wondering why so much emotion for a diddy getting arrested? Well, this podcast is titled The Notorious Mass Effect. Notorious BIG had a huge influence on me as far as creating this podcast, who also had an influence on the person I was influenced by, P. Diddy, who produced a lot of Notorious BIG's work. More specifically, ready to die. in life after death, which is one of my favorite albums of all time.
Starting point is 01:54:13 So getting into somebody who revolutionized the genre of hip hop, getting into somebody who had philanthropic efforts as far as pushing the genre forward and having a lot of the other crowd looking at us and putting us in more powerful positions based off of the business acumen that literally helped shape the culture of hip hop in the 90s and beyond. P. Diddy had a critical role of influencing and building up some of the biggest names in hip hop. But throughout these tidbits that I'm giving you, I want you to know that I am in no fashion condoning his actions because of course they were illegal, which is why this is happening in the first place. So ladies and gentlemen,
Starting point is 01:55:16 Sean Diddy Combs was arrested in Manhattan following a grand jury indictment. The specific charges, of course, is undisclosed, but due to the ongoing legal troubles, including sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations. This is no joking matter. As Diddy's attorney, Mark Agonifalo, I think that's how you say. I don't even know what that last name is. Labelled the prosecution as unjust,
Starting point is 01:55:55 asserting Diddy's innocence and cooperation throughout the investigation. Throughout this whole year, there's been a fiasco of Tibbis coming out about Diddy and his alleged abuse all the way up to the point where we actually seen the abuse on video as far as him kicking and just physically abusing and assaulting Cassie, who was the first person to come out
Starting point is 01:56:27 and really put a stamp on the truth as far as what occurred, as far as the illegal actions when it came to Diddy. And then throughout my time of covering hip hop, you talk to certain people behind the scenes and you get to realize that everybody knows what Diddy was doing. Why did nobody speak up?
Starting point is 01:56:49 Is it because he founded Sean John? Is it because he was one of the first black figures to have a whole business deal with Diago as far as his sarac vodka? Is it because he had a whole entire television network as far as revolt? Why did nobody speak up when it came to everybody knowing the alleged claims of him assaulting his significant others and people in general over and over and over? I mean, people joke about him blowing up Kid Cutty's car like it's just some random boondocks episode when it actually happened in real life. So over eight lawsuits related to the sexual misconduct has been brought against Diddy, including the one from Cassie Ventura, which was the most important one because that one was settled in like less than 24 hours, which led people to believe that she actually had some clans. claims that held some credence, which is why when the video actually came out, it was shocking to the public because that was something Diddy didn't want out in the first place, which is why the
Starting point is 01:58:00 settlement happened so quick when it came to Cassie Ventura's accusations. And then, later on, Homeland Security literally raided Diddy's homes in Los Angeles in Miami back in March with assistance from multiple regional offices. So all of these accusations that have been brought to the forefront is not something that just recently happened. These are instances and accusations from the years of 1991, all the way to 2003, all the way up to now, where a lot more people are coming out accusing Diddy of alleged rape, trafficking, and other, forms of abuse. As far as the media coverage, if you look up P. Diddy analytic dreams, you will see my
Starting point is 01:58:57 coverage of me just detailing this whole entire debacle as it happened, which really started with Delione as far as him actually ending the deal with Diago as far as his saragovac Vaca. I think I said Delio. I misspoke. I meant Diago. When his partnership ended with that. interestingly enough these accusations started to come out and now in consequence of that he has been arrested
Starting point is 01:59:28 which should show everybody that no matter how powerful you think you are and untouchable there's always somebody bigger and better than you to put you in your place as p ditty's actions are unexcusable and should face whatever the consequences are when it comes to the justice system. Now, of course, his legal team is going to keep condemning the actions saying that this is excessive, saying that this is a witch hunt, talking about how did he, while not perfect, he's not a criminal. It's very interesting. The amount of smoking mirrors is being played right now. but it's very interesting to me personally seeing one of the most influential figures ever in hip hop going down like this.
Starting point is 02:00:25 It's a very sad sight to see because you should face justice for doing illegal acts. But on the other hand, recognizing that one of our most influential figures ever in hip hop went down this path. It's just downright saddening because of the amount of influence that he had as far as the black community and hip hop in general, being more respected, being able to be in different rooms where we can make decisions which impacted the black community as a whole. I mean, some would have him up there as one of the most successful black entrepreneurs ever in life. So when we're talking about Diddy, we're not just talking about some random person being arrested, which everybody says that justice is, well, justice plays no favoritism to people who break the law, which is just blatantly not true. If you watch any crime show, if you watch any actual real life show when it comes to the justice system, it's about what you can prove, not what happened. And usually the people in power are able to. maneuver certain things through monetary value and monetary gains to make them look a different
Starting point is 02:01:51 way, which you see all the time. But art mimics real life. And now we're seeing it in 4K as Sean Diddy Combe. I mean, Sean Diddy Combs being arrested is beyond saddening. I mean, that's just the only word I can keep coming up with because at the end of day, criminals do need to face justice, but on the other hand, it's sad that he went down this path, that he took those actions, those illegal actions allegedly, that led him to get arrested because the type of people, the amount of people that he let down is just insurmountable. And one of the biggest reasons to why people look at hip hop the way that they do today is because of things like this. So, hip hop is definitely not the place for the most moral high grounds and standards as far as looking up to different idols or things of that nature which you shouldn't do in general but when it comes to ditty you definitely look at him as far as motivate uh as far as an inspiration as far as the influential figure as far as what you want to aspire towards in the future as far as a entrepreneur and making it from
Starting point is 02:03:12 zero to hero for lack of a better phrase. So when I'm talking about this, on one hand, this man deserves to face what he's going to face simply off of the actions that we literally seen on video with him physically abusing Cassie. But then on the other hand, as a hip-hop connoisseur and just avid studier of the game that's called hip-hop, very disappointing that one of our biggest pioneers in the genre let the entire people let his entire
Starting point is 02:03:52 people down so with that being said click my link to your in my bio let me know on one of my social media's what do y'all think about p ditty being arrested following a grand jury indictment and what do you think about one of the most historic moments in hip-hop history which is now stamped in time September 6th, with Sean Diddy Combs being arrested. What is your biggest takeaway from the legacy of Sean Diddy Combs? Get to it, nigga. Open the door.
Starting point is 02:04:34 I'm a little slow. How slow? So I'm the last to know that there are a few of you out there that are laughing at that gesture. And I want to be clear. everybody can laugh if you sit up here and you dish it you have to be able to take it man that man be spitting don't he anyways so analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio because the beef between young miami aka karisha and joe budding slash academics is at an all-time high to the point where
Starting point is 02:05:13 Carisha has invited academics in a and one of the biggest plot twist ever and just novel history she actually invited academics to her show Carisha please. Now as far as her beef between
Starting point is 02:05:29 Joe Button that's definitely not as serious for the simple fact that this is all over Joe Button getting a plaque as you can see right here. Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio but basically as you can see right here young miami was laughing at jo button hit record pump it up officially being certified gold by r i
Starting point is 02:05:54 double a which if you don't know how certifications work technically you can have a track be gold or diamond not diamond gold or platinum and if you never certified it you would never get a plaque like this so when l l cool j brought joe budd in his plaque basically Basically, he went through the certification process to have a gold plaque. It's not just something they just send to you and you get in the mail. No, you have to apply for it. There's steps to applying for it. And after that, as far as the auditing process, as far as the RIAA certification, you get your gold plaque.
Starting point is 02:06:32 So for Corisha to laugh at this accomplishment, nonetheless, it was apparent that Joe Budden was definitely going to fire back because he talks for four to five to six hours at a time, this man does not stop when it comes to putting out content, which I completely admire as far as the inspiration for what I do. But the goat of podcasting came out and had to give his response because Lord knows that Carisha should probably not poke fun at certain individuals with a lot of. large platform and this is probably one of the reasons why. I stand in that. I have said a bunch of shit about a bunch of people.
Starting point is 02:07:21 My actions are not exonerated at all here. I am clear on why people fire at me and I'm willing to stand there. But to the people that know me just a tad bit better, there's absolutely nothing you could say to make me think that LL Cool J, bringing me my pump it up gold plaque to my fucking triple platinum or whatever quadruple platinum podcast is an
Starting point is 02:07:49 L. Hey, if pump it up sold one copy. All right, so we're going to skip a little bit. Biggest of Ws because of it is and if there's anybody that I hope would be laughing, it is
Starting point is 02:08:03 young Miami with all that she has had to endure in the All right, so we're going to leave right there because he dug into his rapper bag as far as the way he was flipping Young
Starting point is 02:08:19 Miami talking about you like the laugh so let's laugh. So of course when it comes to Young Miami versus Joe Budden, it's really not that serious. I mean, if she's talking about you playing another one bites to dust
Starting point is 02:08:37 when you thought my podcast was canceled, that's a justifiable point for why you're upset at Joe Button. And Joe Budden firing back, not even on that point, but the point that you clowning his gold plaque and how ultimately you should not be laughing at anybody's success in the music industry for the simple fact that behind the scene, she's basically the second coming of Millie Vanilli, then you get to a point where he goes at her in a way that lays out
Starting point is 02:09:13 how he believes that she would be ranked dead last if we're talking about women rappers that have a machine behind them and not even just a machine women rappers in general she would be dead last and these are joe buddens words i mean for me personally as far as performing i think on certain tracks when they was first coming out carisha cared as far as her delivery. Nowadays, I mean, it's pretty atrocious. I ain't going to lie to you. But shout out to JT. Who made the charts with her okay track, which was straight phenomenal. Anyways, so when it comes to Carisha and the ultimate disrespect she had for Joe Button receiving his gold plaque, you can see why he took offense. Because if somebody takes the craft as serious as
Starting point is 02:10:03 Joe Budden being labeled by a JZ by M&M, COSI, COPS stamp as being one of the best lyricists, to ever do it because a lot of people rap. Some will say Joe Buttons in that top 100. Now, who are the other 99 names? The world may never know. But, hey, people have him in their top 100, top 150. He's like one of them NBA players that made the All-Star game. Like once his career, but everybody realizes that he was actually a hooper, like one of them type beats.
Starting point is 02:10:37 You know, Jeff Teague type beat, which is funny because I think he did his podcast not too long ago. Anyways, let me not get off track. So academics. Let's switch gears and get into academics because this man, now you see how I was able to play tidbits from Joe Budden covering or giving his rebuttal to Carisha. I can't do that with academics. That man is consistently drunk on stream blatantly yelling at his screen and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth. Pause. So with that, it's basically apparent that I.
Starting point is 02:11:12 just read off the tweets. So when it comes to breaking down the young Miami and DJ academics history, you get to the point that was significant point that is Carisha please platform being offered to academics for season two of a show which academics agreed to which you can see right here. So when Young Miami says let's do Carisha please season two academics I will love to sit down from my POV everyone POV is important. Academics say he's down. Let me just tell you people
Starting point is 02:11:51 of the United States and just people of planet Earth, this is exactly how you get backdoored. I just want to let y'all know that first and foremost. If y'all think Saucy Santana is not going to walk up in that interview mid-speech, then you got another thing coming for you because the amount of memes that have been made
Starting point is 02:12:12 about Saucy's Santana, completely giving DJ academics his worst nightmares ever in life. If you think Young Miami's not going to play off of that by having him show up or her show up. But I don't know. That's having saucy Santana. I'm not trying to be fun. I just forgot the pronouns. Having saucy Santana show up and basically just straight up go at academics as far as what he said about saucy.
Starting point is 02:12:45 then you have another thing coming. I think this is ultimately a setup. A lot of people say that this could go well, which I'm open to be wrong. I think it could be a very constructive conversation. I actually do believe that academics and Carisha sitting down would be a constructive conversation. But I also have a higher belief that she's going to let Saucy pop up
Starting point is 02:13:11 at some point in some fashion. She's going to record it since it's on her platform. record his reaction whether he walks off whether he runs regardless and then put it out for the world to see i think this is ultimately trying to put academics in a bad light because editing exists owning the footage is a big part of an interview if you don't own the footage there's no way you can decide how it comes out and best believe me saw i mean saucy and young miami's team would do the best they can to make you look a certain way as far as being unintelligent. So that's what I think about him accepting the season two of Carisha please offer because
Starting point is 02:13:57 sometimes you have to know when somebody's hatred for you is just overly exuding as far as in their actions because what else does Carisha have to do as far as music wise? like she's not that relevant when it comes to overall music consumption and so whenever young miami is putting out these stats as far as monthly listeners and things that nature like let's really get into jo bud and being one of the pioneers for how people get paid on spotify through podcasting and what has young miami done except had or have little yadi write one of her biggest hits which ultimately and effectively made her the pawn to one of the biggest influencers in hip-hop when it comes to P. Diddy. So with that being considered, Young Miami's feud with Joe Budden and academics is not even serious.
Starting point is 02:15:05 But what I would say is academics and Saucy Santana's feud is a lot more serious. So in the slight chance that Young Miami actually tries to pull a fast one as far as having Sassy Papa mid interview, it may be some of the greatest content to ever go down in video history. So with that being said, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about the feud between Young Miami, aka Carisha versus Joe Button slash academics? And what is your biggest takeaway from this whole? entire fiasco. To quote Sabrina Carpenter, this one's for Nikki.
Starting point is 02:15:54 Now, of course, the backstory behind this is on Sabrina versus Travis Scott Analytic Dreams on whatever platform you listen to podcast on as I went into the history behind this tweet in great detail. But for this specific segment, there's a lot to get into. So I'm going to leave that out for now. because Nikki versus Travis Scott, while it was a race towards the top, this is definitely one of the greatest battles for a debut at number one that I've ever seen. Now, y'all may think I'm being dramatic,
Starting point is 02:16:32 but the separation between the number one on Billboard 200 this week was literally a thousand units. And it was in totality, 360,000. So if you have a total of 360,000 first week sales, which we're going to get to the specifics in the second. I'm just building a suspense, you know, of course. The actual separation was just a mere thousand units. So, of course, you're probably wondering,
Starting point is 02:17:05 well, who came out on top between Travis Scott's 10-year-old album? I'm not trying to be funny. I'm just stating the facts, you know. 10-year-old album, days before the rodeo, or Sabrina Carpenter short and sweet. Well, just like I said and predicted in my segment, Sabrina Carpenter versus Travis Scott, analytic dream, shameless plug.
Starting point is 02:17:33 Hold on, let's build a little suspense. What's my drum rule effect? I think I have an actual effect for that. Give me one second. Okay, here we go. All right. So without further ado, let's get into one of the closest Billboard 200 races of all time. And I will tell you the ultimate winner after this very professional drum roll sound effect. So after counting all the numbers and basically scouring, I mean, you would have thought this was the presidential election the way they was trying to find missing units.
Starting point is 02:18:19 Sabrina Carpenter came out on top with Shorten Suite with a whopping 362,000 units first week sales for August 29, 24 as far as the week ending. And then Travis Scott, 10-year-old mixed date dates before the rodeo debuted at number two with 361,000. units narrowly missing the top spot by fewer than so it was fewer than a thousand units it was just rounded out so as far as the race safe to say that this is probably one of the more notable races for number ones that we've ever seen in music industry history and the reason why this is a big deal because I always say the artists are players in this field and the actual owners are the ones who make everything move and actually are game changers in this industry.
Starting point is 02:19:25 So when you're specifically talking about Travis Scott, then you have to talk about his manager with David Strongberg. And of course, you have to talk about Darren Stapak. I think that's how you said? I don't know. I said, Stupac. What? And how they manipulate, I'm not going to say manipulate the numbers
Starting point is 02:19:46 because everybody plays their own game. But basically, there's a lot of things. that happens behind the scenes that a lot of people don't know about and Travis Scott's manager David Stromberg is one of the more pivotal players behind the scenes for Travis Scott's public perception so when it comes to chart manipulation and if you're looking at the artist doing this like they're the ones pulling the strings they are basically the players while the owners behind the scenes do a lot of backdoor deals to try to make stuff on the public front look a certain way So anyways, a lot of people have accused Travis Scott of manipulating his numbers, which I'm not going to do because for the simple fact that Travis Scott does have one of the best fan bases in hip-hop history.
Starting point is 02:20:34 But what I will point out is that Sabrina Carpenter currently has not one, not two, but three tracks in the top five. One of them has been on the charts for about 20 weeks, specifically talking about espresso. So whenever you have taste as the second most place song in the world, please, please, please, which is the third most play song in the world, and then espresso, which is the fourth most play song in the world. And you don't see days of the rodeo anywhere on the top 100 list as far as as charting. The only track from Travis Scott that's charting in the top 100 is drugs you should try, which is basically the 66 most played track. in the world. So looking at that, you probably are raising some red flags. How in the world is an entire project battling it out with another project when statistically speaking, the singles are doing much better, a lot better. I mean considerably an exorbitant amount above what Travis
Starting point is 02:21:45 Scott's album singles are doing as far as the specific track. How in the world does the entire project battling it out? Well, that is a great question. That is why a lot of people are pointing out how his manager, once again, you got to name these people. Because if you don't, people are just going to think you talking about they or them, and I'm not Kanye. So, David Stromberg, Travis Scott's manager, is one of the more pivotal players behind the scenes for Travis Scott's public perception. So if you want to know why in the world is Travis Scott competing with the entire body of work that has that currently has three tracks in the top five, whereas he only has one and it's the 66 most played track in the world. That's his highest charting track off of his releases.
Starting point is 02:22:33 You come to find out that maybe some numbers were played with because that just does not add up. So shout out to Sabrina Carpenter. I think she has like 12 tracks in the top 100. Oh, excuse me, 12 tracks in the top basically 40 because the lowest one is at 41 with Lida girls. But yeah, she has 12 tracks in the top 40. I mean, that's insane. And Travis Scott's biggest track charting-wise
Starting point is 02:23:04 is drugs you should try, which is basically the 66 most played track in the world. So how does that make sense the world may never know? So anyways, let's get into competition. strategy because i'm all about marketing tactics and one of the biggest things that a lot of people come to realize is that the music industry is a lot of smoke and mirrors i'm not going to compare it to politics because politics is smoking mirrors on the highest level music industry not so much they try but even though it's very strategic and advanced and intricate as far as the way they
Starting point is 02:23:41 try to manipulate the fan bases it's definitely not it's not on the same level of a of a politics which is just top top tier basically is second to none when it comes to the way they they manipulate the masses so anyways um Travis Scott Travis Scott and Sabrina went through a lot of different tactics to push their project right Sabrina to get her first number one ever basically has certain strategic releases as far as uh on carpenter side but Sabrina on Sabrina side releasing multiple digital versions of her album each featuring different bonus tracks and why does she do this well i'm glad you asked Travis Scott also put out a lot of variance of his album including additions with bonus tracks live versions and remixes significantly increasing the sales uh before the final hours before the tracking week ended because if you don't know Sabrina was leading by a landslide Sabrina Carpenter was leading uh reportedly
Starting point is 02:24:54 like insider sources reportedly around 100 000 units that's how much Sabrina was leading by so it wasn't like oh there was neck and neck for the whole time Travis Scott started pulling games so guess what Sabrina came out and pulled her own game basically adding uh deluxe's uh no adding uh adding digital versions of her album each with different bonus tracks. And you can see that on her Instagram that I talked about in Sabrina versus Travis Scott, analytic dreams. I'm going to keep plugging that because I basically predicted who will come out on top because I don't know if y'all know, but Sabrina Carpenter is under Universal Music Group.
Starting point is 02:25:33 And that's a huge deal because in general, they are the big dogs in the music industry. There's really not too much that goes on in the music industry as far as top tier that's not owned by Universal Music Group. Just to give you a little tidbit, a little Snapple fact, as far as the music market share in totality, all the music are released in the world. The market share is 61% owned by Universal Music Group. So the market share is taken up by Universal Music Group as far as the 61%. Who has next, Warner Music Group with 20% Sony with 14% who Travis Scott is under and others with 5%. So if Universal Music Group has the biggest artists in the world, I'm talking Chappelle Rowan, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallin, Billy Elish, I mean, the top of the top, the cream of the crop. So with Sabrina Carpenter and the close race with Travis Scott, UMG is not going to let one of their players get outshined when they have.
Starting point is 02:26:38 have all the resources possible to compete so when predicting who will come out on top because obviously going through the numbers you see is a very it was a very close race going through the numbers i realized that it was going to come down to the teams that these two respective artists are on and even though sony is no slouch of course because they was able to put up 361,000 units which is still a huge accomplishment i mean i think days before the rodeo is the maybe the top five no okay it's the six most uh it's the six highest debut as far as rap albums so far this decade so this is a huge accomplishment for sony it's just why i put in a perspective one of the biggest battles of all time because sabrina put up 362 i mean this will go down in history i mean this never happened before this is one of
Starting point is 02:27:37 of a few times where billboard had to literally um delay their numbers because of the the amount of sales and just how close it was i mean other times this happened was uh back in 2021 when the baby and uh duelipa's levitating track was undergoing the audit because it was expected to rise to number one had over 4,000 digital sales but um as a result uh so uh uh uh no um as far as competition wise silk sonics leave the door open ended up scoring a number one after the audit towards uh a two levitating so silk sonic leave the door open ended up beating out levitating for that number one track so that was one of the more pivotal close races and in our history uh as far as like notable and then some of my hip-hop fans may uh remember this
Starting point is 02:28:35 but remember before a gunna snitch like prom gun gun uh gun numbers when the weekend yes the weekend one of the most successful uh popular artists of all time when he was going against gunna when gunna ultimately debuted uh with seven seven 700 less as far as unis his first week sales no no no so don fm which is the Weekends album back then was this was back in 2022 it was expected to be number one but as far as units it ultimately fell to DS forever by Gunna yes Gunna actually beat out the weekend for first week sales it was a crazy time I kid you not and then both albums definitely you know debut lower than expected but Gunna ended up beating out the weekend which is which was a huge deal. And I guess
Starting point is 02:29:31 Drake's so petty. I know I always find a way to bring Drake in it. It's okay. Y'all be all right. But Drake's so petty because I think the only reason Drake even had a feature on Gunna's album was because the race was so close. Because if you remember, and people who actually listen or follow hip hop will be able to corroborate my story. But basically, Gunna had an album out that was competing with the weekend. But then the Drake track came after the album released. P-power came out after the album was released. I wonder why. So anyways, Drake's the Petty Man. That's all I got to say. And then one of the other notable battles was definitely when Barbie versus New Jeans were delayed as far as the numbers
Starting point is 02:30:21 because it took several hours for Travis Sky and Drake's meltdown track to count as far as all the units and get into the final tally. But once it did, Meltdown was expected to be number one, but instead debuted at number three. So this is a pattern as far as like close races, but never like this. I mean, less than a thousand units is insane. I mean, if you knew the amount you could buy under certain major labels, you would realize that these two giants were competing at the highest level possible because they've put up monumental numbers and still are trying to get that number one spot the amount of money spent on both of these campaigns is insane because if you want to think about it this year alone short and sweet in days before the rodeo is a top five debut album because
Starting point is 02:31:15 the biggest of course the biggest gangster in industry taylor swift put up 2.61 million yes nobody i know it's i mean when people compare taylor swift to michael jackson at this point i can't even blame them i mean as far as like popularity wise because i mean she's just outperforming everybody by a mile like it's not even close so the biggest debut was taylor swift with 2.61 million first week and then you had of course queen b with her album cowboy carter doing 407 000 first week uh yeah and then you had short and sweet of course with 362 and then days before the rodeo with 361 and of course billy ilish to round off the top five at 339 000 so those are the top five debuts in uh twenty twenty four as far as album debut so um this was a pretty significant race towards the top
Starting point is 02:32:10 and one of the biggest things that i think is is missing from the overall context is that this has happened before that's why i even covered it before i predicted who would come out on top during my Sabrina versus Travis Scott segment as the whole Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott aspect was showcasing that this was a reoccurring theme as far as Travis Scott pulling certain tactics to come out on top when it comes to first week album sales which if you're in the game some will say you pull a jersey give a little elbow maybe I'm giving like behind like I'm giving like basketball stuff i don't know if y'all understand what i'm saying basically you do what you do to win the game right you do what you have to do to win the game i'm not mad at it if everybody's using
Starting point is 02:33:00 steroids in this game then i mean you you better um what they say you better get the syringe i i swear this a pg podcast i swear so anyways um yeah everybody manipulates numbers so i want to hear that as far as like uh people getting on Travis Scott everybody manipulates numbers Travis Scott's team is just the most blatant with it especially when Nikki was going through I mean he was literally the black A-chan-M when he was going up against Nikki as far as first week album sales because that was back when you could sell a sock along with an album and it counted as an album sell like what in the world so anyways uh of course the fans you know came out was just talking about how Travis Scott was doing all this stuff only to lose to Sabrina
Starting point is 02:33:47 you know of course you know supporting bases is supposed to support their artists and they came out in droves and definitely celebrated Sabrina's victory because i mean this is a pretty significant race like it's one of the biggest races i think we'll ever see i don't think we ever see a race like this again i know that may be you may think that's like oh uh some type of um exaggeration days before the rodeo is a 10 year old mixtape and somehow it's a debuted the top six ever as far as this decade and it still came in number two like the numbers is is insane from Sabrina and Travis Scott and so whenever you're getting into it I mean you just have to recognize that this is a generational uh this is a generational battle right here this is not going to be
Starting point is 02:34:40 something that's going to be replicated anytime soon so um I know a report came out like oh travel of scott's vinyl's wasn't counted so they can potentially contribute to his number one album but at this point i mean it's over i mean 362 to 361 as close as it is it's kind of interesting that um the overall streaming was not even close i mean streaming wise subrina had like like 300 million streams or something like that uh maybe around 400 million and days before the rode rodeo had a whopping 30 000 But guess where it came into competition? The actual unit sales where days before rodeo sold 331,000 physical copies. Now who in the world believes that?
Starting point is 02:35:31 Who in the world believes that people are buying music more than streaming out here? Like, come on now. We really have to put two and two together. You're talking about Sabrina beating him in every single category except for bought units. like at some point you just got to call it out like you know whatever type of bag they threw to buy all them albums for Travis Scott I mean you know I guess hopefully one day you get your return on investment for that because that was insane but that's one of the biggest things I wanted to get into because I don't know about y'all but this was very interesting to me I mean the
Starting point is 02:36:07 battle between two giants going at it because this is this is new territory for Sabrina Carpenter. I mean, it's her first number one ever. And as far as her, her fan base coming together to support her in the midst of this battle, I mean, they didn't have to. When she came out with the new vinyl copies, her fan base could have been like, I already bought your album. I'm not buying it again. But more and more people started to realize that this was a pretty significant shift in the industry as Travis Scott was really about to top the charts with a 10-year-old project, is you know it's not like a bad thing but it was just something that Sabrina fans didn't want to hear as far as the future uh you know other fan bases bringing up how the art the artist got out sold
Starting point is 02:36:57 by a 10 year 10 year old album even though even though it's historic numbers nonetheless like nonetheless these are historic numbers across the board but i don't want to beat a dead horse i basically understand at this point the type of battle we just witnessed and um it's It was definitely one for the record books. One for the record books. And objectively, one of the closest Billboard 200 races of all time. So that being said, click my link to you in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias.
Starting point is 02:37:29 What do you think about Sabrina Carpenter coming in number one as far as debut with her album? And what do you think about the overall battle between short and sweet by Sabrina Carpenter and days before the rodeo by Travis Scott? You can't tell me that. Somebody grew up in the hood. 50 years hip hop ain't done shit concretely beneficial to the black community. That's, that's incorrect. The first thing out of your mouth was fashion. I gave you fashion and you started yelling over me.
Starting point is 02:38:03 But then also, then there's technological advancement. Podcasting, for example. Hey, that's me. Look at all the black people that now have access to jobs and ways to make money. And hold out. I do like this job. We're still talking about cinema. We're still talking about these camera operators. These tech, these new people, this man, spitting.
Starting point is 02:38:21 I just made it concrete. No, I'm no, it wasn't. That was all bullshit. No. Once again, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio for my podcast listeners. Because of course, right now we're watching the one and only. I mean, just showmanship at showmanship at its highest level when it comes to the great Dr. Umar as far as his take on hip hop.
Starting point is 02:38:45 Give me a relevant institution that hip hop built in any community anywhere in America I just told you fucking years. No, you didn't. I didn't got him cursing. People that would not have had access to come me off again. I said, I said people. Where's the bank of hip hop for the black community?
Starting point is 02:39:04 The definition of the word people means not an individual. So I'm telling you people that are now that now of 50 years ago would not have had access to work in individualism. I actually, what did they do for the community? You can't give me nothing because they ain't done it. People from the community can now work in a music industry that there was never going to be a space for them. What the fuck? That's individualism.
Starting point is 02:39:24 That ain't helping us. Okay. So I have to fact check a little bit because technically an institution is a large company or other organization involved in financial trading. And then of course, it's also a society or organization founded for religious, educational, social, or essential. similar purposes. So when it comes to more than one person collectively coming together for a common goal in receiving financial gain, that would technically be considered an institution. So whenever you're getting into Dr. Umar's, Dr. Umar Johnson, I may add, as far as his criticism of hip hop and it failing the black community for the simple fact that has done nothing in the past 50 years to build. actual um or hasn't had or created any institutional impact that's substantial so when he's going at hip hop artist like this of course i had to jump into the fray because not my hip hop not my hip hop's going to be discredited like this because let me tell you something one of the greatest not one of
Starting point is 02:40:37 that's disrespectful the greatest rapper ever live which is also one of the greatest philanthropist that we ever had in the hip-hop genre, Jay-Z has a whole company titled Rock Nation that is literally a full-service entertainment company that includes record label, talent agency, sports management, has a sports management division, and those employ a plethora of black people.
Starting point is 02:41:06 In every sense of the word, these different icons in the hip-hop game have built institutions that have had huge impact on culture and black business. So to say it's not an institution, to say it's not something that's substantial and hip-hop hasn't done anything in the past 50 years simply for the fact that Dr. Johnson has been building a school for the past 50 years, past 100 years, and it still hasn't, there's nowhere to be found. like every time you ask them it's a new update but oh yeah we fixing the pipes like all right now we
Starting point is 02:41:46 fixing the toilets you know actually the tiles on the floor they were starting to crack a little bit so we got to get them completely redone like it's it's always something with the school that he's supposedly building and he always uses that fact to say that when it comes to other black popular people in the public grand scheme of things they're not doing enough when it comes to building these type of substantial institutions but going off of his word institution rock nation beats by dray deaf jam recordings bad boy good music mass appeal no limit all of these different conglomerates built by black figure heads whether it's a j z dr dr jr russell Simmons, Master P, things in that nature.
Starting point is 02:42:42 These are all, by definition, institutions that have lasted the test of time and have had so much impact on culture and other things when it comes to the masses. But if you really want to focus on schools, hospitals, and community-focused projects, which is what he basically switched the conversation to, which is very interesting, he switched the conversation and moved the goalpost throughout this entire argument i think this is one of the few times i've seen dr umar just look completely out of his realm as far as what he was talking about because if you're talking about dr dr drey and jimmy levine donating 70 million to the university of southern california to literally create the u sce jimmy levine and andre young academy for arts technological uh
Starting point is 02:43:37 in business of uh technical oh yeah arts technology and business of innovation that's playing off of what dr umar tried to shift the conversation towards when we're talking about j cole founding the dreamville foundation which has supported various educational initiatives and community projects as far as his hometown in feydeville north kailina whether there's chance to rapper as much people get and much stuff people give chance to rapper he still is out here contributing millions to his hometown more specifically Chicago public schools and launching the new chance arts and literature fund to support arts education in Chicago and then once again bringing up the great Queen Latifah that I brought up earlier when I was talking about actually I haven't even
Starting point is 02:44:34 touched on Queen Latifie yet I was saving her for last But basically, not only the Queen Latifah have flavor unit entertainment as far as a production company that produce films and television shows, which is technically an institution, but if you wanted to just focus on schools and hospitals and other community-focused institutions, which is what he switched the conversation towards, she has been involved as far as Queen Latifah in various community projects under the Queen Latifah Foundation. and it supported a lot of educational programs and health initiatives that it just goes under the radar for the simple fact people don't want to highlight it because if you really get into the specifics of educational support health initiatives community development art and culture it's a lot that queen latifah has been an advocate of to change the overall trajectory of the black community so when dr umar which is funny because they have the doctor in front of his name but he It's, you know, as far as this specific topic, seems like he's a little out of his realm as far as what he's specifically speaking on. Because if you're going to, if you're going to get into a heated debate, then you best believe have, you best have, it's best to have certain facts to go along with what you're saying. Because if you're saying institution and the guy who's debating which you brought up many institutions,
Starting point is 02:46:03 which is playing off of what you brought up and then you switch it to he's just talking about individualism. Now it just seems like you're moving to goalpost. And it's definitely important to point out that Dr. Umar was reiterating his past beliefs that he's had for quite some time about hip hop. I mean,
Starting point is 02:46:35 just go to I go back to November 25th, 2023 when he was talking about the celebration of hip hop as far as it being 50 years in existence as far as the genre. Has hip hop benefited the black community overall? Has this been a plus or has this been a minus? Now let's go to the institution. Hip hop is the most influential musical form in the world right now. 50 years. It is a multi-billion dollar industry, of course, dominated by European.
Starting point is 02:47:06 Jews, but yet and still, many of these artists are very wealthy. Not a single institution has come from hip hop in 50 years. Am I supposed to ignore that? Am I supposed to act like these young brothers out here who are pushing deaf and destruction, sexual exploitation and miscegenation of black women, these young brothers who are out here pushing drug selling, going to jail, and everything possibly illegal to children, I'm supposed to believe that this was a blessing to the black community when you brainwashing our kids and on top of the brainwash, on top of the toxic content,
Starting point is 02:47:38 you don't even come back to the community and do anything good for it except give out some damn turkeys and sneakers. Are you kidding me? So as you see and as you just heard, Dr. Umar has had these talking points for quite some time now. So as far as talking about hip hop,
Starting point is 02:47:56 not building any substantial institutional um, projects, it's been a talking point for him for quite some time. And I just believe that Dr. Umar making most of his fan base and garnering most of his fan base off of the enjoyers of hip hop is why he's is why he has these type of strong hip hop opinions when it comes to his disappointment. and the higher-ups as far as the J-Z, a MasterP, things of that nature. And then also, hip-hop has existed for only 50 years.
Starting point is 02:48:41 I mean, that is not the longest as far as a music genre, you know, and it's already generated billions of dollars in revenue. Like, think about it. Hip-hop, some people on this earth is older than the genre of hip-hop. Not to call y'all old, I'm just saying. some people on this earth is older than the genre of hip hop that is one due to slavery i mean i know how that i mean some people act like they don't even know how i went because they act like uh it happened so long ago that we should just forget it but uh yeah so slavery wasn't that long ago so whenever we did
Starting point is 02:49:19 have freedom and you know the ability to make generational wealth that you know other people had a head start on but you know that's a whole other discussion uh discussion basically hip hop was created and recently hip hop was created because it's only existed for over 50 years we literally just celebrated the 50th year of the genre called hip hop so with that being said you have to give a little leeway to the creators of just the genre as a whole but doesn't mean that you should you can just completely negate all of the influential figures that we've had in hip hop as far as uh j z um as far as a conier a dr dr dr dr jimms a queen latifah naz a master p a shan ditty combs i mean these people have built institutions to where black people will have jobs available for
Starting point is 02:50:17 them in a market that did not give jobs to black people in uh in the first place so whenever you create market value for black people you are effectively building an institution where our people can earn a living higher than what we previously thought was even possible. So Dr. Umar just focusing on the schools and the hospitals and things of that nature. Just, I mean, the next interview that he even brings up this age old talking point. I mean, somebody just has to tell him, when is your school going to open? That's all I want to know. Every single time Dr. Umar brings up his school is always something.
Starting point is 02:50:58 There's always the pipes, the toilet. the tiles a little crack so we got to go over that uh wires hanging out the sill and so now we got to patch that and that's going to take another two years like at this point my brother just tell people that you scamming them i mean at some point somebody got to say it i mean all these donations for a school that hasn't existed and he's been building it for the past 10 to 15 years so um and that's a little exaggeration i don't know how long he's been building it actually let me look it up right now How long has he been building his school? Because it's been a while.
Starting point is 02:51:38 We still, to this day, don't know when this is going to open, right? So, oh my Lord, he's been working on this school since 2014, y'all. I know that ain't who I think it is. Dr. Umar Johnson has been working on establishing the Frederick, Douglas, Marcus Garvey Academy since 2014. I know that ain't who I think it is. Do y'all know what Jay-Z has done in the past 10 years? Do I know what P. Diddy has done in the past 10 years? Do you all want to know what Queen Latifah?
Starting point is 02:52:14 Emphasis on Queen Latifah has done in the past 10 years? Dr. Umar's criticism has to be checked at some point when it comes to talking about art icons in the hip-hop community because of them also impacting the black community on such a grand scale that is not even fathomable to Dr. Umar Johnson. I don't know. At some point somebody got to bring that up. Like he just keeps reiterating these same talking points and always talks about his school that's coming but still hasn't been built yet.
Starting point is 02:52:49 I mean, goodness. Even Kanye made a school and like overnight, it was what seemed like overnight. LeBron James, he has a school with the, I forget what it's called, like the promise academy or something like that like it can't be that hard to open up a school as far as like what he is saying he's an expert over it can't be that hard for him to open up a school so um yeah that's basically it man hopefully one day dr um um stops giving the poor uh disproportionate disproportionate negative energy to the hip-hop genre and hopefully at some point he actually does which is surprising for somebody with a doctor but um what do you see a doctor of that's another thing i have to look
Starting point is 02:53:38 up like these false titles got to go man so anyways hopefully at some point he actually uh does some research into hip hop and actually uh finds out about our icons that actually impacts the black community on a grand scale that he's just completely ignoring and being completely ignorant towards but in the meantime click my link tree in my bio let me know on one of my social medias what do you think about Dr. Umar Johnson just being completely oblivious to the contributions of hip hop's icons? And what do you think about the whole debate between Dr. Umar and the, uh, the criticism. Well, what do you think about his, uh, criticism when it comes to the hip hop genre? So that's about it for episode 141, which is titled is Astrobot, the new Marlon.
Starting point is 02:54:32 of modern gaming consisted of a lot of music topics a lot of industry news and of course a lot of gaming topics as we jumped into drake and his rumored next project next solo project to be titled iceman as far as the hundred gigs website is concerned and his uh fake uh fintzda that he's been putting our free content on that umg can't wait to sue him over but Anyways, Big Sean, better me than you album, completely underperforming. But on one hand, some would have seen it coming because of the breaks and the hiatuses that he was taking from the genre, basically prioritizing certain things in his life over the creation of music with which there's nothing wrong with that. But when your peers are also putting out more content consistently at a high clip, then we're just going to forget about you and that's just ultimately what ended up happening. Then we got it to the weekend as far as the new announcement with his album as far as Hurry Up Tomorrow. I got into the overall sentiments of that and just how the weekend at the end of the day is one of the greatest musicians to ever live.
Starting point is 02:55:53 So if he's actually ending the name weekend to go for his government as far as Abel Tis Faith with the album titled Hurry Up Tomorrow, I already know we're in for a classic. Then we switched gears a little bit as far as genre being considered and got into some country, well, I say country, as Post Malone F1 trillion album is his first ever country album. I got into why Post Malone is considered a culture vulture and him putting out his first country album when he started out trying to get into the good graces of hip hop. Should just explain that entire sentiment. So then we got into DreamConn, 2025.
Starting point is 02:56:34 Shout out to RDC World, one of the most pivotal black content creators in the space as far as pushing the envelope and showcase it where we can go and where we can be respected in as far as the various spaces, as far as this entertainment industry is considered. So I went over everything, DreamConn't 2025, talked about everything when it came to the ticket drops, who to follow as far as chair, And overall, if you was wanting to get into DreamCon and wanting to experience DreamCon and how it changed venues and is now in Houston, Texas.
Starting point is 02:57:14 So I covered all that and definitely will be there myself as it will be my first ever convention I go to in person. So I can't wait. I think it's going to be fun. DreamCon seems like the perfect convention for me to go to for the simple fact that. They've been more than an inspiration when it comes to just me entirely starting off with content creation in the first place. So it's only right. I go to the DreamCon convention. It's my first ever.
Starting point is 02:57:48 So yeah. Then we switch gears and got to Bungy CEO completely just lying to his employees telling them that we really are struggling financially. But come to find out on the public website, this man is out here paying $2.3 million. on cars vintage cars over 60 vintage cars bought which accumulated up to a 2.3 million dollars so you know hopefully the people at bungee's band together because that's just ridiculous getting into another owner slash CEO Scooter Braun has announced that he retired from management for artists now if you're going to manage artists and you're going to do it well there's going to come to a point it's going to get to a point where you make enough higher-ups mad to where they get mad as your success.
Starting point is 02:58:41 And so now the artists you manage may start to look more closely at how you manage them and start nitpicking to the point where you have the biggest gangster in the music industry, which is Taylor Swift, finally standing up to you saying that you stole her masters. And surprisingly enough, everybody believed her. So now Scooter Braun has effectively been pushed out of the industry along with other stuff like Justin Bieber coming out against him. Ariana Grande coming out against him and effectively ending his run as an artist manager. Or you could say a respected artist manager. So effectively he just retired this year. So that being said, then we got to some games as Astrobot being one of the greatest. games of 2024 is something we can say with all confidence in that well 100% confidence now
Starting point is 02:59:36 because it's now out on all look at me being petty now it's only out on playstation 5 uh it's not out on xbox it's not out on steam but you know that's okay maybe one day y'all get the game of the year for 2024 but you know right now playstation got it so with that being said um alien isolation that's one of the games i want to get into very much a spur of the moment type of game that I wanted to cover simply for the fact that watching the game is beyond entertaining and especially when people get into why
Starting point is 03:00:08 they enjoy the game so much you get to realize that the AI evolution for a game that was released in 2015 is beyond the same and the innovative factors of the AI as far as how the computer adapts to your play style
Starting point is 03:00:24 is replicated and copied to this day and that is why when the actual movie, the 2024 movie, Alien Romulus, I believe it was called, when that came out, that is why alien isolation got revisited because people wanted to relive that experience over again. And people really were just giving high praise to the overall AI system. And then we switched gears and got into U.S. versus TikTok as. as US versus TikTok is definitely a big deal.
Starting point is 03:01:05 TikTok is very influential when it comes to independent artists and just very influential when it comes to organic market share as far as building up your fan base. So on the music side, when major label marketing machines are getting outdone by the organic algorithm that TikTok is presenting, safe to say that they're gonna find any reason to try to take it out, which they're already.
Starting point is 03:01:32 tried to go to war with TikTok in regards to Universal Music Group pulling all their artists from TikTok, which ended up, um, they ended up settling me. I thought it was because TikTok came to the realization of who Universal Music Group was. But apparently Taylor Swift is the one who approached UMG and basically said that she was going to make a big kerfuffle. about the situation and she was going to be on TikTok side if they didn't rectify the situation and guess what it got rectified so after that we got into a u.s versus ticket master talk about how illegal monopolies are just consistently running rampant but now seems like people are starting to check those type of monopolies as u.s. went at ticket master in a way that
Starting point is 03:02:24 we haven't seen in such a long time as far as 39 states banning uh is it banning together banding together. Anyways, y'all get what I'm saying, right? Coming together to put out a lawsuit to address the illegal, quote-unquote, monopoly that is Lobnation and Ticketmaster. So I cover that in this entirety. And that was probably one of my more interesting, for me personally, that was one of the more researched segments for the simple fact that I was pretty intrigued by how much Live Nation the ticket master actually controls when it comes to the overall consumption of things. Then we got into Young Miami versus Academics and well slash Joe Button.
Starting point is 03:03:16 So of course I got into the beef. It's very funny because I don't think it's anything serious. But you know, somebody has to point this out because whenever you get into Young Miami and Joe Budden and academics and their beef, you realize that. it's just all for monetary gain and they're going back and forth for public consumption.
Starting point is 03:03:40 So it's not that serious. But I will say if academics actually ends up taking Young Miami, aka Carisha's offer to go on Carisha Please for season two, just don't be surprised if you see a surprise appearance
Starting point is 03:03:58 from Saucy Santana. And that's what I'm going to leave it at. And then of course we ended off with the great Dr. Umar Johnson and his beyond ignorant take when it came to hip hop and not having any institutions for black people. So I addressed that,
Starting point is 03:04:16 gave a lot of concrete evidence as far as why I believe he's just completely out of his realm when it comes to negatively talking about the genre of hip hop as far as from an institutional standpoint. A lot of the things he said about hip hop was definitely correct.
Starting point is 03:04:33 but wanted to focus on the main thing that he seemed to be reiterating for quite some time at this point because him keep for him to keep saying that nobody's building schools hospitals and things that nature when he's been working on a school for more than a decade and it still is not open when conier has a school when lebron has a school at something's up like you can't be talking about all these black icons and talking down and negatively talking about these black icons in the industry and and you having even accomplished half of what they've done in over 10 years. So with that being said, that was my entire episode 141 as far as the notorious mass effect. As always, make sure to, oh no, that's definitely not how the outro goes. Starting point is 03:06:11 together a giveaway because I have certain things from companies that I want to give away to the public that has not been touched pretty valuable especially for up-and-coming content creators and I want to package it as far as the discord or Patreon rollout so if you specialize in that type of management or that type of community engagement when it comes to a Patreon or Discord, definitely click my link to my bio and let me know in one of my social medias or just email me because that's always the best way when it comes to business inquiries.
