What's going on our internet, analytic here, aka Dreams, and I'd like to welcome you to mine,
which I call the notorious mass effect podcast.
I am your hip-hop and gaming news source with a little bit of R&B mixed in.
Before we get into episode 142, which is titled, Is There a New Big Three in Hip-hop?
Before we get into that, of course, have to give a little update, just like we do with every episode.
And this is no different as the podcast has been doing.
doing phenomenal at the it's just a testament to y'all support and statistically speaking because you
know I love to get into the analytics so getting into my own analytics we're averaging around
160 to 180,000 weekly downloads and that is just beyond unfathomable for me looking at that number
seeing the different comments from people on different social media platforms and of course the biggest
as far as my podcast platforms and what people want to see what they like what they don't like all
the constructive criticism in the world is appreciated because of course y'all could be anywhere
but you hear listening to gaming and hip-hop news from me right so i really appreciate that one
the ways I wanted to give back is showcasing how I'm using the support and, you know, of course,
the financial support in ways that's making this product even more enjoyable for you.
So one of the ways I wanted to do that is by creating a Patreon because I have certain things
that's in the works as far as getting a whole video setup, if that makes sense.
Like I'm going to have a camera, lights.
Basically, I already have that.
I just have to set it up.
But the reason why I'm saying that is because that's what the Patreon comes in for.
Because if you don't know, which you probably already know if you're listening.
There's ads that play throughout every single podcast platform, right?
But the Patreon with a $5 monthly subscription, it would be ad-free content that I'll be putting out at the same rate that I put out on my other podcast platforms.
And even more because it's going to be behind the scenes footage.
There's going to be a lot of IRL streams.
And with my whole streaming kit that I have together,
it's just all in place for that to be an incentive and a bonus to sign up to that monthly subscription,
especially with it, you know, besides the fact that it's ad free, you know,
the way I'm able to justify the price is the overall content.
that I'm adding additionally that you can't get anywhere else besides the Patreon platform.
So you know of course this is going to be more of a soft launch and the reason I say that is
because I am doing a two month giveaway. Now what does that mean right? Essentially there's going
to be gifts given out throughout these upcoming months and the reason why it's two is
is because these episode formats come out every month.
So this month for this episode and then for next month,
I'm going to bring this up again as far as the giveaway.
But I'm not going to do it often because I want people who are actually supporters
to get what I'm about to give away.
And so some of the gifts that I'm going to give away,
because I think I'm going to do it weekly as far as randomly picking out people.
But the gifts that I have is going to be more of the Santa Claus
variety you know because when I reach out to the person who subscribes and well I should
probably get to the rules first huh so basically all you have to do sign up to my page
patreon of course you know there's only one tier right now as far as the $5 tier and then during
the next two months every and every week of this month and the next month I'm going to pick
somebody randomly who signs up to the Patreon and shares the Patreon link on the
their social media and then tag me to increase your chances. So one, signing up automatically
puts you into the giveaway. But then sharing the Patreon link on your social media will increase
your chances on winning. So with that being said, some of the gifts that I have, the reason why I say
is the Santa Claus variety because there's already two Elgado screens that I'm going to give away.
But what if somebody has no use for an Elgado screen, right?
that's where Santa Claus comes in.
I'm basically going to message you, ask you what you want,
and as long as it's under a certain price point,
which I'm not going to tell you because, you know,
people, they be like, hey, let me just max it out, right?
But let's just say it can be of the expensive variety, right?
It can be triple digits, but it can't be nothing crazy, right?
If you ask for something, you know, at least make it reasonable.
But I have a certain budget put to the side for these giveaways.
So that's why I'm going.
to do because I know not everybody has a use for Elgado screens.
So along with the Elgado screens, I'm going to specifically ask the person that, you know,
I choose as a winner, what they want.
And then that's how that's going to happen.
And then when you get that, you're definitely going to have to post it.
So so people don't think I'm just scamming out here, right?
You know, I can't be a DJ envy out here.
You know what I mean?
Like selling you stuff that don't even exist, right?
So, yeah, we're going to figure that out on.
a back in but as far as the the patreon thing uh this is more of a soft launch because these two months
is basically me getting together my video set up and production wise as far as um the official
rollout because i'm going to make a whole new trailer for the podcast for the patreon things that
nature everything about the patreon is about giving you higher quality than the other platforms right
because I don't want you paying $5 a month and not getting something that incentivizes you to stay, right?
As for me, I subscribe to the Joe Button podcast, and I already know how much they put out on their Patreon compared to the other platforms.
So that's my same model that I'm going to follow when it comes to my podcast.
Because if it doesn't feel like it's value to me, then I wouldn't be doing it.
So that's where I'm doing this whole Patreon tier in the first place.
so yeah that's how you can walk away with gear quote unquote or whatever you want as far as
the whole santa claus aspect of me uh reaching out to you but yeah so to reiterate the rules
basically just have to sign up for my patreon here have the patreon link on social media and then tag me
you have to tag me so i can see it to increase your chances and then throughout these two months
every single week at the end of the week i'm gonna reach out to some random person who signed up
and uh if they want the elgado's green screen they can um then that would be easy you know
because i already have it but as far as if they need something specific then we can figure that out
on the back end but um once you get that then just like the patreon link you're going to post the
the gift and the um and then my uh social media so i can repost it you know so people don't think i'm
scamming out here because that's a big deal nowadays people i guess content created out here scamming
the audience i was like i was like what in the world how you how you scam the people that supports you
yeah so off of that as far as a life update everything's been uh going smooth as far as the everyday
process you know this is beyond a dream waking up every day knowing that you get to cover gaming
and music and people time and time again week after week come back to listen it's just a blessing so
that's how i approach you i don't take this for granted and for sure i don't i don't be have you know what
as far as giving you uh what i think is high quality content as far as information that you can
take with you and uh actually you know um values your time
you know as far as uh the gaming and music industry so um speaking on valuing your time let's
you know wrap up the updates and oh as far as my patreon uh link tree and my bio uh link tree in my bio
has my patreon link so that's how you can sign up i don't think i said that but hey now you know
so link tree in my bio patreon is like towards the bottom because this is technically a soft launch
we haven't officially launched yet.
But I'm doing a giveaway just for the people to know that they are going to be entered
if they signed up during this soft launch.
So yeah, towards the bottom of my link tree and my bio.
So yeah, enough of the updates and the life update.
Let's get into the actual episode, which is titled, well, the episode is 142.
but it's titled, Is There a New Big Three in Hip Hop?
Now, why might I ask that?
Simply due to the fact that Jermaine is in hip-hop timeout.
And personally, I never had him in the Big Three because, of course, I knew he was fraudulent.
But it took the world to see him on his own stage, Dreamville Festival, just totally backtracking on the actual disc track that he himself put out against Kenner.
And I guess he must have took the boogeyman nickname literally as he in the next 48 hours
Re basically took back his statements and backtrack to the point where now he is inevitably
in hip-hop time out for an indefinite amount of time.
You know how Woj comes out and says, oh, so-and-so got injured, he'll be out for an indefinite
amount of time that's all germane is and i really don't know what's going to get him out of hip hop
time out we will know when it happens but there's there's something specific and he knows this too
there's something specific that he has to do to get out of hip hop timeout but i'm not going to tell
him because that's you know that's his team's job you know i know somebody over there gets paid to do
that so um with that being said let's just get into the overall um roundup of the topics because
we're getting into future right because of the type of
and if you haven't been paying attention future has done something that no other rapper has ever done
which is earn three number one albums in the span of six months let me repeat that future has
earned three number one albums in the span of six months and he's the first rapper ever to accomplish this
pretty insane right that's why the episode is titled what is titled so then we're going to
again to little teka because you know surprisingly to me i did little teca was not on my radar but
he actually has an album that's been uh impacted the masses as far as you know analytically and of course
with it being notorious mass effect that's one of the main things that i found people come back for us to
know what's impacted the masses on a global scale so we're going to get into little teca's plan a album
then we're going to get into a little news with ticot unfortunately for my independent creators
there. TikTok music is going under and we'll be shutting down November 28th.
So y'all pour one out for TikTok man. But then we're going to get into my favorite company of all time,
Marvel and how they are starting their own podcast. Talk about competition, right? How are you supposed
to compete with that? I'm out here talking about music and gaming and Spider-Man talking about
the millions he saved in New York. How'd that work? So anyways, Marvel got a podcast that's coming
out and it's called the official Marvel podcast just in case uh y'all didn't know who was starting
the podcast right so um we're going to get into more details when it comes to that then of course
when it comes to games man there's been games on games on games okay y'all get it y'all get it right
my fault uh 2024 it's definitely not like 2023 because um Mario and zelda releasing in the same
year is pretty significant and spider man god of war um whatever
else happened last year armored core uh bartersgate three i mean it was just 2023 honestly is up there
as far as one of the better years in gaming but um compared to this year is that it hasn't been as
uh exciting but this month is definitely a standout and last month to be fair well yeah to be fair
because wukong and astrobot and warhammer technically came out last month i'll be
believe so with that being said we're going to get into a lot of those games in this episode but not all
of them of course because i've already covered some of them in the past like astrobot warhammer
wukk i've already covered which if you type up those specific names along with analytic dreams
it should pop up so anyways for this episode we're going to get into mortar combat one i know
surprisingly right the game that fell off we're going to get to that because it released a whole new
DLC with a story expansion.
So we're going to get into that.
And then we're going to get into one of the more popular games in the world,
which is football technically.
But EA Sports FC, which is technically a soccer game, 25.
We're going to get into that.
We're going to get into zucosis and how that game promised a lot that it did not deliver.
But it is okay because I am here to go over the whole debacle.
But no debacle was like this one that we're going to get into in this episode.
which is Concord.
Concord is shutting down.
Well, not shutting down.
Concord is shut down due to poor sales.
And the game was in development for eight years.
And the number came out as far as the budget.
And let's just say, PlayStation is very upset.
So I'm going to get into that debacle because that was the biggest I've ever seen in a while as far as the gaming industry.
um
dragon ball
i know y'all see the other character
on the cover of my episode
goku
has came back with avenges
to take over the video game scene
and take over he has
as they are running up the numbers
on playstation Xbox steam
um
I think it's on steam
I don't want to misspeak
I believe
it's on steam it may not be on steam
Oh, it is on Steam.
Okay, I see it.
Yeah.
So it's out on all platforms, just didn't want to misspeak.
And somebody would be like, it's not on Steam.
Well, actually.
So, yeah, it's out on all platforms just doing tremendous when you're talking about numbers.
I mean, if you're dropping in the same month as Call of Duty and you're still putting up numbers as far as impacting the masses and selling more than Call of Duty, that's a pretty significant achievement.
It reminds me of what Hogwarts Legacy did, which is Harry.
Harry Potter game, of course, as far as outselling Call of Duty for the first time in eight years,
because Call of Duty usually is the top selling game every single year.
But Hogwarts Legacy that I believe came out last year.
See I was talking about how 2023 was like jam pack as far as like Game of the Year contenders?
I think it came out last year.
Let me see.
Hogwarts Legacy.
Yeah, it came out last year.
so that was a very surprising feat that it managed to pull off outselling call of duty and i'm not
going to say dragon ball is going to do the same thing but the start that has gotten off to reminds me of when
teckin first came out and teckon i'm not going to say has fell off but teckon is not as popular so
fighting games is a little interesting when they first start off because everybody's just getting
into the mechanics and once you understand the routine and the gameplay loop and you've played it
for a while it gets kind of old so we have to see if it ends up outpacing call of duty at the end of
this year then we have silent hill two i try to stay away from horror games because i am not a
horror consumer i despise everything about the horror genre
just the way they try to make people uncomfortable,
make their skin crawl,
and jump scares.
Jump scares is one of the main pet peeves of mine
because life is already scary as a black man in America.
Sorry to get into, you know, my ethnicity.
But I don't need to pay money to raise my heart rate.
I mean, we already have a family tree of diabetics.
You know what I mean?
No need to.
to raise my heart rate even more with all this scary stuff going on in a video game,
in a fictional TV show, in a fictional movie.
Like, I don't need to deal with all that.
Life as scary as it is, right?
So I just don't like the horror genre.
And then you could probably assume I don't like Halloween as well.
But I do like dressing up.
So that's a, you know, it's a bittersweet holiday, right?
I like dressing up.
I don't like everything the Halloween stands for.
So anyways.
I don't know how I went on this
Oh Silent Hill 2
We're going to get into that video game
And how the remake
Has remade
Pun intended
Has remade itself
On the charts or whatever
So anyways
Then we're going to end with some beef
Because people love
The beef segment
I don't know what it is
But y'all love drama
I'm talking directly to you
You don't see me pointing at you
But just no
There's a finger in front of your face right now
and what you go
now I'm talking
I'm talking like little dirt
ain't I know but anyways
back to pacifist mode
I'm just letting y'all know
that people seem to really enjoy
the beef segments
so we're just going to keep that up
as putting it at the end of the episode
so as far as the beef
Nintendo didn't have enough
let me tell you something
Power World had one too many times
to make itself popular in the mainstream
and Nintendo took
personally like mj in the last dance they looked at the success of power world and they said i took
that personally so they are officially suing power world developer pocket pair for multiple
patent infringements now if you look up nintendo analytic dreams you were probably fine that i've
already spoken on how nintendo put out a statement saying that they're looking into
the possible infringement that Power World was conducting.
Well, seemingly, they've put together a pretty good lawsuit
because if you don't know anything about Nintendo,
Nintendo and lawyers go hand in hand.
So pray for Power World because no telling what type of bag
they're going to have to drop on Nintendo as far as settling in the lawsuit.
Speaking on conglomerant versus conglomerant,
TNT versus NBA.
Yes, we're going to get into a little basketball talk for the simple fact that we're covering a sports game in this episode.
So technically it's on brand as TNT versus the NBA will inevitably affect the sponsorships and the sponsorship dollars that the NBA receives based on this lawsuit.
Because of TNT saying that NBA has certain things in place to where.
a new contract was not even applicable for the for the fact that they wanted to go with
Amazon I believe so we're going to get into the details of that specifically but yeah another
conglomerate on conglomerate beef but switching into the human beef element jZ versus dame dash
slash jaguar right you already know and you already knew that we was going to get into
to Sean Carter.
And boy,
is there a lot of things to get into,
but as a Sean Carter fan,
I'm not going to lie to you.
It hurts my heart.
What did Jay-Z say on God's did?
It breaks my heart.
It breaks my heart
to see all these people
have so much
validity and what they've been spewing
towards Jay-Z.
Also,
on the Jaguar right side of things,
it's been a lot of fictional
storytelling
storytelling going on
that we're going to have to
call out.
So I'm going to keep it balanced
you know
but at the end of the day
it does break my heart.
So anyways
Cardi B versus Offset.
You already knew that we had to end
the episode with the major
red pill content that is
a stripper
and a rapper's relationship.
I mean that alone
should have told you
that there was going to be
some issues and some
fights amongst the household. But I try not to get into that type of talk too much because relationship
talk and relationship advice is all unique to the specific couple. But people act like as humans were just a
monolith where when in all actuality, all couples all, well, I can't speak on marriages.
Well, I guess I can because, you know, I've seen a successful one in my lifetime. My parents.
who planned out me.
I don't want to get into too much personal detail,
but basically they did it the patent way that you're supposed to do it,
the traditional way that you find out is not as common as you grow up.
So seeing that,
you kind of get an understanding of what an actual marriage is
and how you should work it out.
Anyways, we're going to get into Cardi versus Offset.
Basically, I say all that to say this.
Cardi and Offset will get back together.
They're just going through a little kerfuffle right now.
And shout out to the future and Stefan Diggs.
I don't even know why I said that.
That has no correlation, right?
So anyways, yeah, but, you know, before, you know, one of the things we love to do over here at notorious mass effect is compare the competition's numbers.
Because objectively speaking, this is the only litmus scale we have to compare one another as far as peer to peer as star to superstar.
So with that being said, of course, starting on the music side, when it comes to the albums that's been released in the past week, in the past year, and of course the past month, Sabrina Carpenter and her album Shorten Suite has had the most impressive numbers that I've seen.
Of course, after Taylor Swift.
Like Taylor Swift still, to this day, is putting up around 40,000 units.
and her album
Taylor Swift's album
Let me see when this came out
though the
The tortured poets department
came out
April 19th
2024
Ladies and gentlemen
We are in October
And this album is still
In the top seven
That's just ridiculous
So anyways
Aside from Taylor Swift
Who's the biggest gangster
In the music industry
It's not even close
Sabrina Carpenter
Has the number one album
currently on planet Earth
with her album short and sweet.
Now as far as the top five,
let's just go from five to one,
even though I just broke the suspense by saying number one.
So the fifth most play album in the world
is of course Billy Elish.
Now, I don't know what it is about Billy Elish,
but the ultimate album title
hit me hard and soft
has to be an award winning
just off of that,
just off of that.
simply off of that like that album title chef's kiss so anyways fourth most play album in the
world Morgan walling don't you just love when you so talent you so talented that people just forget
you said inward I mean I just strive for that level of talent right just that level of forgiveness
from the masses I mean no wonder they'd be out here letting it fly if you talented enough
they'll just forget I mean I believe I saw one video when Justin Bieber was harmonizing the
I was like, hold up now.
Is this AI?
Whole time.
It was back in 2017, 2016.
I'm like, hold up.
This can't be, that can't be AI because that's just, and nobody says anything about it.
Anyways, so I guess the people just don't care.
So anyways, Morgan Wallen has the fourth most play album in the world as one thing at a time
is still holding on strong with 50,000 units sold.
And then, of course, this is the second week for future.
so he's not at number one.
He's at number three,
but he was at number one for his first week sales.
This is his second week sales.
So we're going to get into his first week sales.
We're going to get into that shortly.
Actually, that's the first segment.
But currently, for his second week sales,
he sold 55,000 units,
which is still impressive,
gaining him the number three
as far as the third most play album in the world
with mixtape Pluto.
And then you have Chappelle Rowan,
The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Now, that is a pretty interesting title.
Gives me, what was that movie called?
It wasn't The Wiz.
That was the black version.
What was the white version of the Wiz?
That's how you know I'm black.
I don't even know the white version.
That's crazy.
The Wiz.
I'm just going to type it in.
See if it pops up.
Is it the Wizard of Oz?
That's the original, right?
Ah, that is the original.
See?
Does that let me keep my black card?
I don't know.
Anyways.
So the Wizard of Oz, right?
That is and seems to be the inspiration for this title.
But I don't know, maybe I'm just guessing.
Because if you don't know, Dorothy, I think that was her name.
She was from Kansas.
So isn't it funny how the most morally sound people are from Kansas,
like Superman, Dorothy, analytic album, I'm fault.
Anyways, Sabrina Carpenter, number one album in the world, short and sweet.
So congrats to that lady.
as she is just completely running up the charts right now
and does not seem to be stopping at the slightest, right?
Let's get into overall market share.
This is my favorite thing,
because I just got to keep reiterating that universal music group
is just unequivocally the big dogs in the music industry
with over 60% of the music market share.
Out of all the music released in the world,
UMG has 60% of it as far as the consumption.
Warner is second with 20%
Sony is third with 18 uh 18% and of course for all my independent artists out there fighting
keep on fighting a good fight because y'all are taking up 3% of the overall music market share
which is still something to tip you had to because technically you're going against a huge machine
so in all actuality that 3% still needs to be applauded so anyways um
those were the top five albums in the world in the world planet earth you know number five was billy
eyelish hit me hard and soft number four morgan wallin one thing at the time number three future
mixtape pluto just showcasing why he deserves to be in the big three conversation still to this
day being a trendsetter when it comes to impacting the masses the only rapper in this list i don't know
if y'all noticed yet but the only rapper in the top five number two chappelle rowing the rise and fall of
Midwest Princess and the number one
Sabrina Carpenter with Short and Sweet.
Now let's get into the top five
tracks that have
encapsulated the masses
as Lady Gaga
may have had a downright
dumpster fire with Joker
2, but
actually was that late? Hold up.
I get them mixed up all the time. Is that
Lady Gaga and Madonna?
I think I did this last time. I'm so sorry.
I keep messing up her name.
I think it was Lady Gaga, right?
It wasn't Madonna.
Yeah, okay, yeah.
I don't know why I get them confused.
That's like reverse racism.
Anyways, back to what I'm saying.
After a dumpster fire of a rollout that was Joker 2,
at least she can lend her name and credence back on her original claim to fame,
which is music, as die with a smile has been beyond a hit.
six weeks on the charts, peaked at number three on the charts, and it's now currently the number
fifth most played track in the world. The fourth most played track in the world is garnered by
Chappelle Rowan with her track, Good Luck, Babe, as that's been on the charts for about 25 weeks,
and the last week, it was at number four, and guess where is that this week? Number four,
so it's such a great hold for 25 plus weeks on the charts. Then, of course,
Once again, Sabrina Carpenter with her track, Expresso, the third most played track in the world.
Out of all the music consumption, this one is the third most.
As it's been on the charts for about 24 weeks, last week it was at number three, and this week is at number three.
So great hold for that track.
But a track did get dethroned.
And which track was it?
Was it Shabuzzi or was it Post Malone?
well i'll save y'all the uh suspense it was post malone so post malone and morgan wallin's track i had some help
got dethrone from number one which is still not a bad thing i mean you go from number one most play
song to number two like oh such a big downfall anyways it's been on the charts for about 20 weeks
and it's peaked at number one of course but now it slid to the number two spot in it of course
one of the best songs of twenty twenty four i'm not
even just saying that based off numbers.
If you listen to that album, it's such an organic blend of hip hop and country.
I think this is ultimately what Little Nas X should have done instead of completely pivoting
to the pop lane. This is what people wanted from Little Nas X.
An authentic, in organic country hip hop blend of music.
And Shibuzzi has delivered that on the highest.
to the upteenth degree when it comes to quality.
That album to the day is still my favorite album of 2024.
I mean, drink don't need no mix.
That's probably my personal favorite,
just because of the heavy Aida Waste and things of that nature.
But overall, a bar song, I mean, don't make me go to the album now.
Hold on now.
I'll pull up the album right now.
Is it where I've been?
Such a long album title.
That's the only thing.
like why is it so long?
I mean,
if you want to get in your Rod Wave bag,
steal her from me is such a great emotional track.
Annabelle is a phenomenal anthem.
And then finally over.
I mean,
if you look up Shabuzzi Analytic Dreams,
my whole review of the album is out,
is out on all podcast platforms.
So you can get the in-depth review
of me going into the album.
But when I tell you,
that is a,
that is a classic.
body of work. I'm stamping it now. That body of work is classic. I just love how he's been putting out
music ever since like he was putting out music before even Lil Nas X blew up. So 2014 he was putting
on music. And 2024 to have this much success is just a testament to longevity and consistently
putting out good quality content to the point where it's just like undeniable. So that's why
That's why I admire most about Shibuzi.
So that album, to me, is my favorite album of the year.
But anyways, we're not talking about the album.
Talking about his track, which is still the number one most played track in the world.
And based off of that, it is, it has made history as far as ranking amongst the 16th longest running number one hit in Billboard Hot 100 history.
So emphatically, this is a classic as far as numbers wise.
Obviously, I tell you, streaming does not equal quality and vice versa.
But, Mr. Boozy, it seems like it's been the perfect marriage as far as good quality,
getting the highest amount of flowers as far as it being number one for this long.
Because I would rather have a number one track for 24 weeks straight than a Grammy.
I know that may seem like an astronaut statement, but if you see the royalties and the point,
on a platinum track.
I mean, when I tell you,
Sway Lee,
off of those two diamond records he has,
is good for life,
his kids are good for life,
and probably his kids' kids are good for life,
off of those two diamond records.
I would rather have something like that
than a Grammy Award
where it's just a bunch of people
coming together to decide
who they want to politic with
for that particular award show.
So, a little side tangent.
But anyways, to recap the top five tracks
in the world. Number five, we have
Die What a Smile with Lady Gaga
and Bruno Mars. Number four, we have
Good Luck Babe with Chappelle Rowan.
Number three, we have Sabrina Carpenter
with espresso. Number two, we have, I Had Some Help
with Post Malone featuring Morgan Wallen,
and then of course the most played,
the most consumed, the most impactful
when it comes to infecting the masses. A bar song
by Shibuzi. Well, whopping.
24 weeks on the charts.
So anyways,
switching gears and getting over to the gaming industry,
the gaming lane,
the nerd side of things.
Let's get into the Steam analytics as
Throne and Liberty is surprisingly on this list,
but it's not in the top five.
But I just wanted to shout them out
because I did not know anything about this game.
So to see it's so high on the list,
I mean, it's higher than Black Men's Wu Kong.
It's higher than,
does I say Bartas Gay 3?
Oh, I mean, that makes sense.
But yeah, it's higher than Black Myth Wu Kong,
which is still a testament to how the Dragon Ball stats haven't been charted yet
because it just came out.
So we don't know how high Dragon Ball will be.
I would assume it would be in the top five,
especially with it just coming out.
But Throne and Liberty being up there kind of just threw me off
because it's just your same-o-sameau for the top five for Steam.
I mean, it's your PubG Battlegrounds at number five,
Dota 2 and number four.
Actually, can I count one, two, three, four, five.
Oh, actually, it isn't a top five.
My fault.
I can't count.
I don't even know how I passed college, honestly.
Throne and Liberty did come in in number five.
PubG battlegrounds came in at number four.
Dota 2 came in in in number three.
Banana came in at number two.
And then, of course, Counter Strike 2 continues to just be leaps and bounds above the competition
when it comes to popularity in video games on the Steam platform.
because if you look at the 24 hour peak it's just ridiculous i mean over 1.3 million is insanity the next
closest is banana with 400 000 right people currently playing the game like concurrently playing the game
over 500 000 would count the strike two now i know the esports has some to do with it as far as the
esports field but still that is a incredible and impressive accomplishment in itself to consistently put
up this type of these type of numbers as
as banana is the next closest with 370,000 concurrent players right now.
And then the, you know, Dota 2 is at 262,000 concurrent.
PubG is at 149,000 concurrent.
And then Throne in Liberty is a 145,000 concurrent.
And then it's a little drop off to number 6 with 83,000.
But, yeah.
So the top five for Steam is thrown in Liberty, PubG Battlegrounds, Dota 2, Banana, and Counterstrike 2.
So getting off of the Steam platform, let's hop into Microsoft Land as the bestsellers is what you can come to assume for the average console gamer, sports games and GTA.
Well, to be fair, Space Marine is technically number three.
So the third most popular game being Space Marine does give some credence to Microsoft gamers to have some type of.
hardcore gaming tag on their account because standard edition FC25 is number is the most play game
on that platform as far as Xbox Madden 25 is the second most played game and then space
marine already talked about that is the third most play game two K 25 is the fourth most
play game uh most play game and then guess what number five is I mean just guess after this pattern
I mean you should already know what number five is going to be right
college football 25 ladies and gentlemen is the fifth most play game on this platform now i'm not
gonna talk down on them i'm not gonna just throw derogatory terms their way i'm just gonna say
y'all are some casuals and i'm just gonna leave it at that so anyways i mean it's kind of
hard to throw the casual term at xbox gamers because they really don't have no games i mean if
you really think about it wukong astrobud i i know i know i'm already making them
Microsoft people have said, all right, all right, let me chill, let me chill.
But, so yeah, man, that's the top five.
You guess that's why you can't make this stuff up?
Guess what's at number six?
GT is at number six.
Oh my goodness, Microsoft people do not play any games.
And these are just like averages.
So there's a high percentage that you only play sports games, which is okay.
It's okay.
But people try to talk about gaming and they only play sports games.
I'm like, my brother.
You don't game.
You just play sports.
That's it.
You're not a gamer, which is okay.
But when they start to get into like the game of the year,
conversations, when they start to break down,
oh, man, Xbox is the best platform.
Really?
What's you playing?
Oh, 2K?
All right.
So anyways, yeah, to recap the top five.
College football, 25 came in at number five.
2K25 came in number four.
Space Marine 2 came in at number three.
Madden, 25.
came in at number two and of course the most popular game fc 25 which is the standard edition
and it has been going crazy on the microsoft platform making it the most consumed game
when it comes to affecting masses on xbox now switching over into playstation land they are somewhat excused
because instead of having it all taken up as far as the top five slots of sports games there's only
three slots taken up but to xboxes credit fortnight being on this top five could be detrimental
to the overall development of your brain when it comes to adulthood why do i say that there's a lot
of instant gratification things that happens in fortnight based on micro transaction
because of the live service model
that we really don't want to get into,
but Fortnite started it.
Or not started it.
Fortnite popularized it
because Game Pass have already,
not game pass,
um,
Battle Pass.
Battle Passes have always existed.
But when Fortnite went free to play
and now their micro-transactions
are what's making them the bulk of the money,
that is what made other studios
say to themselves,
let's make a live-service game,
even though it might be trashed.
and sell it to consumers and convince them that they're going to be playing this game for five years only to take the game off the marketplace not even a month after its release talking about Concord which we're going to get into that in a second but anyways so the most played game in the world on the PlayStation platform because of course PlayStation being as superior as they are obviously I'm saying it's just there I don't care
which console.
I think console parity
that's a different.
That term means something different.
The console battle
from Xbox and PlayStation
is needed,
especially for consumers.
Because if PlayStation just runs away
and just has
by far and away the best platform,
then they're going to start
doing certain tactics to charge you more
and what you're going to do, go to Xbox.
So that's why I never want
Xbox to fall too far behind,
because if you don't know there's a stat going around that for every Xbox sold three PlayStation
fives are sold so every Xbox Series X there's a there's three play PS5s being sold and that's
on average so that's like a whole stat you can look up as far as just PlayStation just completely
outselling the Xbox Series X so um that's going to lead to PlayStation doing some aggressive
maneuvers when it comes to charging the people on the platform, right?
Because now, where are you going to go?
Xbox, who has three times less of the current gen player base versus PlayStation 5,
which majority people, majority of gamers, console gamers are on or would prefer to buy.
So anyways, food for thought.
Where's that?
I totally lost my place.
so um i lost my place 2k25 comes in number two or playstation as far as the second most play game in the
world NBA 2k 25 not to get confused with the other 25 games and then at number one
unsurprisingly and it's probably higher up on xbox and steam they probably just haven't counted it yet
because i know for a fact steam didn't have the numbers up so it's probably just because it just came
out. But once again, PlayStation, you know, being on the ball up to date, you know, things in nature,
has the updated numbers in Dragon Ball, Spark, and Zero is number one is the most play
game on the PlayStation platform. I mean, that is just top tier. I mean, as far as a fighting game
being number one when it first comes out, obviously I'm at the pump to breaks a little bit on
saying this top tier. Let's just wait and see to see if it, you know, consistently.
gets that amount of concurrent player base because it be in a fighting game obviously people are
going to dive into it and it's going to be the highest number first week that's why we do the whole
first week sales with albums and stuff because it's based on the amount of anticipation that you
can build and of course it's going to taper off but what you can build it to would probably
give us a litmus scale of where it's going to taper off to and usually that's how you know if
somebody's consumed more objectively than other people not saying they have to
better content but as far as consumption so um yeah dragon ball sparking zero most play game on
play game on playstation platform and it's just to recap the top five we have calla duty and number
five EA sports fc 25 which is the football slash soccer game at number four fortnight and number three
NBA 2k 25 and number two and then dragon ball sparking zero at number one and ladies and gentlemen
last but definitely not least we got to get into the top five mobile games i told you i'm not going to
forget about your mobile community i mean i really got some things coming for you as far as the
the patreon content that i've been putting together because i figured out i mean it was pretty simple but
we're going to have some mobile gaming content that's all i got to say you know that's that's
that's all i can say right now we're getting all the puzzle pieces together but uh yeah i like the way it's
coming together so anyways uh more well not even more
more. This would probably be my first time ever putting out mobile content because of course I still
put out gaming content as if you go to my you know shameless plug, analytic dreams video on Spotify
to see the video along with the audio, which you don't have to do if you sign up to my Patreon,
but you know, hey, the shameless plugs will be throwing at you know what I'm saying? You got to,
you got to be ready for it. I'll just play. All right. Um, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see
the video along with the audio because basically I have part 14 of Eldon Ring gameplay walkthrough.
that not too long ago and i'm going to post part 15 sometime this week and that's going to be the
last part for the uh elder ring saga sad day in history but we got to take a hiatus because i have to
be astrobot i may be outlaws it just depends but elder ring has been placed on the back burner
for the simple fact that it's just too many games to play and i do want to play them so um before we
get into episode 142 which is titled is there a new big three
and hip hop.
Before we get into that episode,

something because i ain't got it but it will be nice as far as if you get chosen so anyways um

Oh, and also, make sure to click that bell icon for post notifications.
I don't know why I had that at the end.
This must be the updated one.
But some reason, I have two intros.
That won't make any sense do it.
Anyways, well, you got the intro, and now it's time to get into the first segment, which is starting off hot,
because we're getting into the reason why this episode is titled the way it is.
as Future has scored yet another number one with his album well technically mixtape because he called it
mixtape Pluto so let's get let's get into that right now 13 years 13 years is what it took
for the masses to realize that we may have misjudged the big three as far as hip hop because
Pluto
Future Hendricks
is
unequivocally
one of the most impactful
hip-hop rappers
of all time
and of course he's been putting out music
since 2011
and even before then he started out as
an engineer so
when he got into the artist lane
it was even easier
because he was already
co-producing and co-writing for other artists.
Now, the reason I'm saying all this is because
Magic, which is the first release on DSPs on the A1 recording
slash free bands, came out July 13th, 2011.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is October 8th, 2024,
and future is still on top.
As his mixtape,
titled mixtape Pluto pretty on the nose but hey i guess we'll let it slide debuted at number one
on the billboard 200 charts and not only that this is futures 11th number one album tying him
for fifth place with artists like i don't even know how to pronounce that barb oh it's barber i'm tripping
I can't read.
Barbara Streisn.
Bruce Springston.
Yeah, I can't talk.
Bruce Springsteen.
Eminem and of course the goat of overall hip-hop Kanye West.
So when it comes to mixtape Pluto selling 129,000 units in its first week,
another accomplishment that needs to be acknowledged is that,
future became the first rapper ever.
I mean like in the history of hip hop to ever earned three number one albums and a span of six
months.
And it's not like these are just some non-compete type of releases where he's not going up against
anybody who could also get number one.
You have to remember that Sabrina Carpenter is still putting up numbers consistently
in the six-figure range.
So Future was competing with Sabrina Carpenter with mixtape Pluto,
but he ultimately came out on top as far as the first week sales with $129,000 units sold.
Obviously, for this upcoming week, Sabrina will overtake the number one spot again
because she is consistently putting up $100,000, which she did again,
100,000 and 29 to be exact for the amount of units she moved for this week and that album has been
out for like a month at this point but anyways back to future so future's career started as far as
releasing in ds in 2011 when you had Pluto honest dirty sprite two was the first time he went
number one so it took him three albums to get that number one slot but ever since then he is consistently
and this surprised me because i think some people you know because of the output don't really
attribute future to like a mainstream superstar level type rapper and i know that may seem
like a blasphemous statement but there's really only two to three artists that could go on certain
tours as far as putting people in seats to watch them perform.
But Future is not one of those.
I mean, just last year, I think Nikki Minaz was trying to have him,
I don't know if she was trying to have him to be the cold headliner.
I don't think it was the headline.
I think she was going to not open, of course, but basically she was going to have him tag
along just like Drake had 21 Savage tag along.
I don't know what it is about touring, but actually I do know what it is.
Future Tours, I mean, he's basically playing karaoke at the show. So I mean, if you just go in there for the
environment, the atmosphere, you're definitely not going there for a show because Futures is going to walk around
and let you wrap his own music back to him. So that's probably why he's not able to sell out certain
arenas like a Travis Scott, like a Drake, a Kanye, a Nicky. So as far as touring, Future probably wouldn't
be in a big three. Well, actually, he's not at all in the big three. It'll probably be
Kanye, Travis, and then probably Drake as far as hip hop and selling out and putting people in seats as far as like arenas and even stadiums is something I've been hearing as far as Kendrick is concerned.
But anyways, why do I say all that?
Because as far as the consumption of music, he's had a run unlike any other.
Dirty Sprite 2 went number one with 151 units so as far as thousand.
evolved went number one with a hundred and thirty four thousand sold self-titled album future went
number one with 140,000 units sold Hendrix went number one in that same year so once again
two albums in the same year going number one with 121,000 units sold the wizard went number one
with 125 units sold as far as thousand high off life when number one with 153,000 units sold
I never liked you had 222,000 units sold.
We Don't Trust You, the collab album with Metro Boomin.
They kicked off the entire avalanche of beasts between Drake and just the whole industry.
That sold 251,000.
So as big as first week sales ever.
But, of course, gained him another number one.
Then you have, we still don't trust you.
they doubled back just to let that Canadian know that they did not trust him as they had even more people to kick his back in as they had ASAP and then the weekend actually gave a verse on the double back on we still don't trust you which sold 125,000 first week units and went number one of course and now up to date as far as the album that he just put out on all DSPs titled mixtape Pluto that just came out September 20th 20th
sold 129,000 units first week, which is more than the double back with Metro Boomin as far as we still don't trust you because that sold 125,000 first week.
So not only did he release, not only did Future release three bodies of work in a span of six months, but he also gained more streams off of his mixtake, quote unquote, than he did with his second album with Metro Boomin.
which you would think a sequel to anything that's already successful would have around the same units as far as sold but like that i don't know if y'all know but like that is probably one of the best hip-hop tracks i've ever heard and that's probably one of the highest compliments i could give a track because that track to this day is still the 36 most played track in the world and's been on the charts for about 28 weeks so some could say that the future and metro booming out of
we don't trust you when it comes to units and consumption was heavily carried by the track like that
which to their credit I still think it would be a phenomenal song even without Kendrick
kendrick just adding all of the hatred he had for the canadian just uplifted the track even
more so anyways the reason why i'm saying all this is to put in perspective do we have to
to reconsider what is the big three in hip hop because some people would say the big three is
Drake Kendrick and germane obviously if you've listened to the podcast for a while you already know
that i don't count germane anywhere near the hip hop big three and i've always talked about future
being in that third slot or tyler the creator being in that third slide or
nicky being in that third slide i don't know how in the world nicky just gets put
to the side like she ain't out here being one of the most impactful hip hop artist ever but her not even
being considered for the top three is you know there's a certain word for it but let's just say it's
pretty interesting how she's been putting on for so long and people still discredit her as far as
not wanting to put her in a big three so for me personally germain is nowhere near that and now
with the consumption wise as far as analytics future has put together
a resume that has been undeniable to the point where we have to put him back into his proper
perspective because everybody looks at future is just a trap rapper that puts out music consistently
and you know hits and misses but when he hits it really does affect the masses but he's never
had a flop throughout the whole 13 years in the hip-hop industry and not even that he's so
in the six-figure range for at least outside of his two albums his first two
albums he's consistently sold in the six-figure range which is very difficult
especially when you see I'm not trying to be disrespectful I'm just using it
using this to put these stats in perspective Big Sean just put out his album with
all the promotion in the world I mean he sat down with Charlemagne he sat down
with uh well no he made content with our dc world um he was showing up on all type of interviews
you know crying and stuff he had the whole debacle with conier west that everybody paid attention to
and then he put out his album and guess what it sold i think like actually let me get the real
number because i'm not i'm not trying to be disrespectful um better me than you i think that's what's
called big shot ended up selling 22,000 first week
Do y'all remember the time when everybody had Big Sean as a rapper in the top three?
Forget just being a musician.
As a rapper, Big Sean was up there and was competing for that number one spot as far as the best rapper and hip hop currently.
But now, you know, fast forward from Dark Sky's Paradise or Dark Sky Paradise, we've seen that the audience, the genre,
for some reason just does not gravitate towards Big Sean anymore.
I think it's because he took a hiatus, but nonetheless, he sold 22,000 first week.
Now, the baby, the baby was never considered in top three,
but just to give you a litmus scale of how rappers are just completely, for lack of a better term, flopping.
The baby, how is this a mixtape, sold 9,000 first week and debuted at number 154 on Billboard
200 as far as albums so as you can see people sometimes flop when they put out projects it's not out of the
norm for a musician to put out a project and the masses not care so for a future to consistently garner
this attention to never have a flop to have three number one albums in the span of six months even
after a 13-year career, whereas everybody says that hip-hop is a running-back type of longevity
as far as you get your three to four years and then you're out of the game.
I mean, Future is literally trailing only the Beatles as far as number one albums.
Well, that's not correct.
He's trailing the Beatles, J. Z, Taylor Swift, and Drake as far as number one albums.
Because the Beatles have 19 number one albums.
J.Z and Taylor Swift both have.
14 and then Drake has 13 so of course future just gets completely disregarded in this front because
a lot of people give him credit on the fashion side of things but as far as his ability to consistently
put up numbers in a game where you can be here today and gone tomorrow i don't think it's uh enough
praise and highlight on the fact that he's been dominant in the game since 2011 because if you look at
at the charts currently, Future has six tracks in the top 100. Kendrick currently has two tracks
in the top 100 and one of them is the one with Future as far as the like that track. Drake
currently has no tracks on the charts as far as the top 100 and I'm going to get to that in a second.
And then of course, Jermaine, which, you know, I don't care for, but he has one track on the
charts with Blow for Blow because it just came out technically. It debuted.
at number 88.
So, you know, I'm not trying to hate, but I'm just saying like,
it would have to literally have the first week type of hold to say in the top 100.
So I think he will end up not having any in the top 100.
But Drake not having any tracks in the top 100 is fine with me for the simple fact that,
and of course you got to go over to Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
But basically right now, I'm showing.
I'm showcasing why I don't mind Drake not having any tracks in the top 100.
So basically, as you can see right here,
Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
Drake was the most streamed rapper of September with 1.1 billion streams.
And he has maintained his record of being the most streamed rapper every month of this year.
Why is that pivotal?
because of the way he just got completely eviscerated verbally by the boogeyman,
aka Kendrick Lamar.
Now, that is just a testament to his discography because just because your 2024 releases
aren't hitting like that doesn't mean that as far as a totality standpoint,
people are listening to others more than you.
It's actually vice versa.
People would rather listen to Drake's discography than any other hip-hop rappers' discography,
but in the 2024 releases,
obviously they're just not hitting like that which is why i keep consistently telling this man
to take a break because obviously you still dominating when it comes to streams and beyond on top
but he consistently just puts out music for some reason but um yeah so with that future
has some standouts off of the mixtape pluto and and some of the standout some of the standouts
are low demon which is the 49th most played track in the way
world, which is the most popular track off of his mixtape Pluto. And then you have Teflon Don.
That's the second most popular track off of his album being the 55th most played track in the
world. And then you have no way. No, is Plutowski? Is that the one where he's just like,
that is the what in the world? How is that track the third most, the third best performing
track on the album? He's literally murmuring on the track. Like he's humming and just,
making sleepy noises on the track literally i'm not even joking i don't even know how to
oh hey i don't know man he a transcender uh he a trinsetter so now rapper's just gonna hop on
a beat and just start mummering for no reason because uh future did it which you know they've been
copying future for a while now so anyways uh too fast which is my personal favorite uh track off
of the album so we're gonna get to that in the second but um yeah as far as the album that's my
favorite track and then we have a ski which is the 73rd most played track in the world and so that would be
let me see one two three four yeah that'll be the fifth most successful track off of the album so I just gave
you the top five as far as the standouts analytically from the album so you have little demon you have
teflon don you have pluto ski for some reason people just love the sleeping noises he was making on the
beat. You have two fast and then you have ski. So that's just a testament to putting out a body of
work that the masses are finding themselves and captivated by. In the span of six months,
you've given them three projects and they're still coming back and even picking out their
favorites to listen to time and time again. And that is why I keep saying future has to be put
into the big three of hip hop because at this point analytically speaking and that doesn't even account
the culture wise as far as speaking and the way that he encapsivates the culture which isn't numbers
based right just the impact of influence on how they want to be perceived as a hip hop rapper future
is the epitome of that so now combined with his resume of numbers
as far as first week sales and him consistently being in the six-figure range as far as first
week and him always just putting up number one albums i mean we really have to start putting
future in that big three because i think lyrically it's why people don't put him in a big three but
to be fair i think if there's going to be a big three like an NBA like lebron doesn't play like
MJ, MJ for sure does not play like Kareem. So if you have a big three and they are all just
mimics of each other, I think that will water down the overall genre. So as far as the big three
being Kendrick, Drake, and future, I don't know about y'all, but I think that perfectly
puts some perspective the landscape of hip hop as far as the different sides you can go to.
You can go to the introspective reflecting on your life type of rap with Kendrick.
You can go to the pop style type of rap as far as Drake.
Or you can go to the culture currency type of lifestyle with a lot of, I mean, heavy emphasis on trap as far as that whole environment in itself.
And then you could perfectly encapsulate that with.
Kendrick Drake and Future.
So and you know, I always had to throw some
Jermaine Slander in there because, you know, he's still in hip-hop timeout.
I don't know if y'all are, you know, aware of that.
But yeah, so future mixtape Pluto, beyond phenomenal.
And I do remember talking about this album before,
I think when it first came out or whatever.
So if you look up Future Mixedate Pluto, Analytic Dreams,
it should pop up as far as my in-depth review
of the album. But as far as what I'm currently liking, like I said, Too Fast is my favorite track
off of that album. I like Brazier just for the fact that he's being beyond petty to a certain
Atlanta rapper, but we're not going to talk about who. And then what's my third favorite? I don't
think I have a third favorite. I think that's it. Yeah, so Too Fast and Brazier. Those are the two
tracks that I think is higher quality as far as off of that album.
So with that being said, click my link to your my bio and let me know one of my social
media's what do you think about futures album as far as quote unquote mixtape Pluto and
do we have to rearrange the hip hop big three to put future alongside drake and kindrick?
The date is April 5th, 2024.
A mixtape titled Might Delete Later.
has just hit DSPs. Dreamville fans are buzzing. They're going on their respective DSPs to listen to the favorite
musician, Germain. And as they listen, they realize there's a specific song that seems to have
its sights set on the one and only Kendrick Lamar. And that track is titled The Seven-Minute
drill. Now, April 5th, 2024, it's 8 p.m. The mixtape is being dissected. A lot of fans are sending their
opinions, the theories, and talking about how this is the moment that Jermaine overtakes the top spot
as far as the best rapper in the modern generation. April 6th, 2024. Oh,
only a day after, fans are still speculating on when the follow-up or the response this track
will come from either Jermaine or Kendrick, as now we have officially entered into the realm
of a J-Cole in Kendrick battle.
April 7th, 2024, there's this thing called Dreamville Festival, where J-Main brings all of his
disciples to an event and he performs some of his biggest fan favorite hits right but instead this man
Jermaine got on stage and in less than 48 hours after releasing a disc track inevitably sparking
the J Cole and Kendrick beef he gets on stage and says this
And I pray that God align me back up on my purpose and on my path.
You know what I mean?
I pray that my nigger really didn't feel no way.
And if he did, my nigger, I got my chin out.
Take your best shot.
I'm going to take that shit on the chin.
Boy, do what you do.
You know what you do?
No, did he?
I mean, he said do what you do like he had baby Oreo on deck.
And I pray that, you know, I pray that y'all are like,
forgive a nigger for like the misstep.
And then I can get back to my true path because I ain't going to lie to y'all.
past two days felt terrible.
It let me know how good I've been sleeping
for the past 10 years.
Not 10 years.
So all of that to say, man,
I want to now perform the song.
It's a reminder to me of getting back on the right path
and getting in tune with God.
And the name of the song is called Love Yours.
So for everybody who's wondering
why we put Jermaine in hip-hop timeout,
that is exactly why.
In less than 48 hours,
you would have thought it was the first 48,
the way he was trying to prevent or solve a body, a murder mystery, right?
But in the ultimate plot twists of plot twists in novel history,
the body that he was trying to prevent was himself.
Because Kendrick was definitely going to catch a body off of that weak seven-minute drill
this track.
That wasn't even seven minutes, mind you.
But you know what is seven minutes?
the track actually is not even seven minutes it's five minutes and 16 seconds so why did i recap the
whole reason we put germane and hip-hop timeout because he has came once again in the aftermath of
the drake and kendrick battle that was undoubtedly the best hip-hop battle we've ever ever received
in the past 10 to 20 years and maybe ever as far as hip-hop history it's definitely up there as far as
the commercial wise and the content wise and culture wise everything and captivated hip hop in a way
that puts Drake versus Kendrick in one of the best hip hop beef discussions so when it comes
to germane bowing out after putting out a distract towards Kendrick it was very upsetting
because he's the one that jumped out the window and put out seven minute drill
And then in less than 48 hours, he got on stage at his Dreamville Festival in front of all his fans and gave a heartfelt apology, basically saying, y'all love Kendrick.
Guess what? I love Kendrick too.
Now, there was nothing wrong with the statement of I love Kendrick if he didn't put out a whole entire distract towards him, right?
Because of Kendrick would have just completely focused on Drake and Jay Cole just stayed out of it without releasing seven.
minute drill nobody would have got upset at him because then then we just understand that
germane is just not about that life it's the way that he jumped out that made everybody say you
know what maybe you should even be in the top three at all which brings me up to date as far as
october 10th 24 actually october 9th is when this actually came out but jaco put out a new track
titled Port Antonio, where he almost got out of hip hop timeout. I'm not going to lie to you.
Because this track is phenomenal. But when he said, they're trying to start another war.
Drake, you'll always be. This is a PG podcast. I'm just going to replace the cuss words, basically.
They tried to start another war. Drake, you'll always be, let's just say my homie, right?
I ain't a shame to say you did a lot for me.
Forget all the narratives.
And at that point, I was like, you know what?
Maybe Jermaine deserves to be let out of hip hop time out.
And then he followed up those sentiments with tapping back.
What you mean tapping back?
Taping back into your magic pen is what's imperative.
My brother, Drake just gave us some of the best hip hop material in the past 20 to 30 years.
I don't care what y'all say.
From both sides, Kendrick and Drake, they gave us some timeless material as far as family matters, as far as euphoria, as far as not like us.
And a lot of people love to discredit what Drake did as far as the Tupac Blackface, like the digital blackface, right?
But what they don't bring up is when Drake put out the Buried Alive Interlude, I believe is what it was.
Yeah.
So the Buried Alive Interlude, Part 2, is a lot of.
people just forgetting this track ever exists because it came right after family matters which made
family matters even more impactful which is why i think kendrick just completely just put a stop to
it when he put out um meet the grams which is this one of the worst tracks in the entire beef because
he made up a whole fictional character like he was stanley right talking about the daughter i mean to this
point everybody's just acting like oh there is a daughter we just don't want name her right like okay like if there's a
daughter pretty sure somebody would like y'all see this whole ditty situation if you build up enough
credibility somebody going to jump out the window and be like hey he's talking about me i'm the daughter
why nobody did that why the mother didn't do that the dad the parent whatever the parental figure is
for the daughter anyways so kendrick stepped on that by putting out meet the grams which you know
aged the worst out of the entire battle it's probably meet the grams and taylor may freestyle that
horribly as far as the overall totality of the beef between Drake and Kendrick.
So getting back to Jermaine because everybody seems to be acting like this is the greatest
thing since sliced bread. This is basically Jermaine saying that he doesn't want beef with
Drake. That's all it is. If y'all haven't been noticing Drake has been unfollowing
people on IG and has been making front page news and people are telling me that
Drake has fell off right? So Drake has been unfollowing people and in waves mind you and I
guess because of the lack of communication between Drake and Jayco simply for the fact that he
bowed out of the battle and made it seem like Kendrick took out him and Drake, right?
So, Drake was put behind the eight ball because Kendrick already has great momentum.
It's like the number one C getting ups.
Jermaine's not the number one scene, but for this hypothetical you have to stay with me.
It's like the number one seed getting knocked off by the number two seed in the Western Conference finals.
And now they're heading to the finals.
Like they got all the momentum in the world and everybody looks at them as like the big dog.
So now whenever you're in such a subjective space that is music, you are already being looked at like putting out the gospel, right?
You are basically hip hop Jesus when it comes to putting out music because now it seems like everybody doesn't want smoke with you.
which is why the whole nickname given to Kendrick,
boogeyman has stuck and will stick for the foreseeable future.
So anyways, after that, you know,
Kendrick just completely eviscerated Drake,
but Drake did fight back,
which is something that Cole never did.
So, well, actually he tried and then apologize,
which is why he will continue to be in timeout.
Yeah.
So as far as the track Port, Port Antonio,
My favorite part of it was when he was talking about, okay, yeah, they wanted blood.
Oh, hold on.
Let me just pull this up for y'all to see.
Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
But, okay, so I lost my place because I made it full screen.
Give me one second.
Okay.
They wanted blood.
They wanted clicks to make their pockets grow.
They see this fire in my pen and they think I'm dog.
just smoke i wouldn't have lost a battle dog i would have lost a bro i would have gained a foe and all for what
just to attain some moat poetry at his finest i ain't gonna lie the only problem with that is when you start
the fact check my brother the best thing you had to come at kendrick with is that his music was
similar to the simpsons and that he fell off you would have a lot more would have happened to you
than just have lost the battle.
I mean, you see how
Kendrick put Drake in a PDF file lane?
What Kendrick would have done to you?
I mean, let's just say,
behind the scenes, it wasn't going to be pretty,
and there's a reason why Jermaine came out to apologize for Kendrick.
Because who would have thought that Kendrick,
the person who stays out of the way,
would have went to the depths of hell
to talk about his opponents in such a way
that makes them seem like just a straight-up criminal.
Like deserving jail time.
Like that's the way that he has put Drake as far as the perspective of the public.
So anyways,
Jermaine talks about how he wouldn't have lost the battle.
He would have lost a dog,
which I would have just changed.
I would have lost the battle and kept out,
would have lost a dog because that would have been the best part.
But this is my favorite lines out of the track
because he kept going by saying props from strangers.
that don't got a clue what I've been aiming for since the age of 14 Jermaine is no king if that
means I got to dig up dirt and pay the whole team of algorithm but people just to sway
the whole thing now this is what we get upset at Jermaine this man takes shots at
Kendrick in a way that's very subliminal but obvious to people who follow hip hop
Jermaine has talked about streaming bots before I forget what track it was but I'm
Remember he's talking about people just how many faking their streams, getting their place for machines.
I think it was a lot or something like that, the track with 21, I believe.
You see how Jermaine fans?
You know what I mean?
They probably don't even know that bar.
I'm just playing.
Let me chill.
All right.
So yeah, that was something I remember as far as him talking about bots.
I think that's the only other time he ever talked about bots.
So people are trying to connect that, right?
People are trying to say, oh, he's just talking about the industry.
He's not taking another yet another shot at Kendrick, right?
but what they fail to realize is that the following lyrics is literally if that means i got to dig up dirt
and pay the whole team of algorithm bots just to sway the whole thing on social media
competing for your favorable memes to be considered best of live and rest the weight of both
things okay i think that is completely wrong who in the world is transcribing a genius
because that is not what he said.
I want to play it, but if it ends up on DSPs,
oh, that's a whole other discussion.
We're going to get to that in a second.
Yeah, he releases through YouTube, by the way,
which we're going to get to that.
But I don't know if this is the right lyrics.
I ain't going to lie to you.
Basically, this man follows it up by saying,
on social media, competing for your favorable memes.
I don't know why it says means.
To be considered best and the weight of both things.
I understand the thirst of being first.
who in the world is trying to be first in the rap industry through bots and favorable means from the public through a battle like number one only has one person to put in it right and who will we put that person as far as giving him the crown of the modern generation the best rapper right that's kendrick so if you're saying somebody's using other algorithm bots to sway social medias for your favorable means and then you follow that
up with I understand the thirst of being first, who do you think he's talking about? You think
he's talking about Asap Rocky? You think he's talking about Waleigh, Big Sean, who just, let me chill.
That's one of my favorite rappers. But there's only one person who's basically considered in
first place right now based on social media perception. Anyways, let's keep going. So with that being
said, of course, he kept going saying, now some would discredit me, tried to wipe
away my pedigree, but please find a person that's rapping this incredibly. Boy, if they ain't
bars, I don't know what it is. So the only thing with that is that, let me see if I can find it.
He said something about being free. That was where I had to. Okay, they stripped me in my spot.
Here it is right here. They strip me in my spot and now I'm finally free. They say I'm picking
size, but don't you lie on me and then he gets to cop and please for Drake, right?
So the only thing I have to say about this is that I have an episode coming out titled,
Is There a New Big Three in Hip Hop?
Because I don't know if you know, but Future literally just became the first rapper ever, like in history,
to have three number one albums in the span of six months.
And before you say, oh, he had no competition or things like that, right?
Sabrina Carpenter is running the game right now when it comes to music consumption.
Futures, mixtape Pluto, overtook short and sweet for the number one spot, right?
So when he outsold Sabrina Carpenter to have his third number one after putting out his third album in the span of six months, I'm like, let's have a real discussion about the top three in hip hop because I don't know any other rapper that could do that in the span of six months.
Besides Drake, besides a Kendrick.
I mean, even Nikki, it may be looking a little shaky as far as having three number one albums in the span of six months.
Travis Scott's a whole different scenario, but those are all people I would put above
Germain, right?
That's why I'd never like consider Germain in the big three.
But, yeah, Future, I think should be put into that top three for the simple fact that
he is putting up some, like some unequivocally, he is putting up numbers that has never
been done before in the hip-hop genre.
So when it comes to that fact, as far as Future just overtaking rap analytically,
in 2024, you still have to realize that touring wise is probably why we don't put future in that
big three because who in the world is going to a future concert when it comes to a stadium or
an arena, right? There's a reason why Nikki not too long ago tried to bring future on her
tour and future agreed because Nikki has a bigger pool when it comes to her fan base coming out
to watch her perform. So on one hand, future is putting up these numbers that you like you can't
argue at all as far as it being impressive. But then on the other hand, is he able to put the phrase
butts and seats like a Nikki, like a Drake, like a Travis Scott, like a Kendrick? Definitely not.
So that's the only reason why I think he's left out of the top three because culture-wise, he has it.
Streaming wise, he obviously has it. But as far as in-person performance and bringing people out,
that is the area where when it comes to the big three,
obviously future brings people out.
Like, come on now.
But when it comes to the big three of hip hop,
you probably want to encapsivate all of that.
So that could be the only thing that keeps him away from it.
I mean, there's a reason why there's an OVO Fest.
There's a reason why there's a Dreamville festival.
Like, these people bring out so many fans of them
that they can have their own festival.
Like forget going to a arena.
Let's just book our own venue and throw our own concert, right?
I don't know if Future's at that level yet when it comes to in-person butts and seats as far as watching you perform.
And I think that's a testament to the way that Future performs, right?
If you're out there playing karaoke like you're Kanye West, but you're not Kanye West,
then people are not going to be enticed to go to a bigger show because they know the production value is going to be at an all-time low.
And that is why Future has been left out of the Big Three, in my opinion, because everything else just makes it seem like he should be in the Big Three.
Anyways, back to Jermain, right?
So when he says they strip me in my spot and now I'm finally free.
Well, I'm glad that you agree with us, that you never deserve to be in the top three.
So that's great.
You know, we agree.
You know what I'm saying?
You say you're not in the top three.
I'll say you're not in the top three.
So now, you know, there's really nobody else.
Like who's going to come out?
Who's going to come out of the woodworks to vouch for Jermaine after what he just pulled?
Like, nah, you know what?
I think Jermaine does deserve the big three spot.
Like, nah.
Especially following after that, he was copping.
please with Drake talking about how, you know, you'll always be my homie.
Like, all right, bro.
But anyways, um, yes, overall, I'm not going to spend too much time on this track.
I did want to get into one of the biggest pivotal parts is that, um,
Jay Cole also pulled seven minute drill track off of streaming platforms, uh,
right after concert as far as a Dreamville festival, right?
So whenever we're talking about this apology, just know it was followed up by other
things that ultimately piled on to the point where it's like, okay, my brother, you are in hip hop
timeout for the foreseeable future. So with that, the way that Kendrick, J. Cole, and Drake are
releasing music through social media's first is creating a certain battle with higher ups that they do not
want let's just say that kendrick i think got approved for his track on instagram and obviously i don't have
no basis to like i have no way to confirm this but as far as kendrick putting out his uh you know his
um what was it the black air force the all black air forces um that track that everybody
forgot about after it came out but anyways um that track i think he got an okay to put that out for the
simple fact that Jay Z's been under fire and still is under fire and um justifiably so because he's
been you know playing some certain industry games when it comes to Drake not letting Little
Wayne um well when it comes to Drake and Jay Z not letting Little Wayne perform in New Orleans. So
why do I say that? It's because putting out music on social media's first
means you are exclusively releasing your music through a Instagram, through a Twitter, a YouTube.
When your contract, specifically J-Co is, well, I know for Kendrick is under UMG.
Let me look up.
So when your contract is under, what's the last time this man put out a track?
This man has really been a hip-hop time out.
I mean, blow-for-blow doesn't count.
That's with T. Grizzly.
He hasn't put out a track since.
I forgot he put out grippy.
Oh, my glorious man's trash.
All right, anyways.
Yeah, man, I can't find it.
I don't know what he's under.
Let me just go to his last album.
Actually, let's go to my delete later.
Okay, so In the Scope Records, which I believe is under UMG.
So anyways, you're under Universal Music Group,
which is, you know, what most of the popular rappers go to
because it's ran by Lucian Grange,
the most powerful man in the music industry.
But, um, you're putting up.
music exclusively to YouTube, Instagram when you have a whole entire contract with
interscope records, right? So, in that fact, a lot of major labels are upset and I know for a fact
that Drake and Universal Music Group are beefing. Simply for the fact, 100 gigs is something
that should never exist for free on an Instagram quote unquote Finsta. So they're going
through their back and forth. That's why you see songs getting put up, taken off as far as
blue, green, red, as far as super soap, as far as all these other tracks getting pulled off
when Drake tries to, because ultimately, right, you have to have sample clearances. And so if you're
out here putting our music through your fenced, a fenced, and then Universal Music Group contacts
you like, hey, this is exclusively under, or licensed under us, and you're putting it out on a free
platform that we can't monetize from so now we are going to put that song out on platforms that we
can monetize they put it out on platform they can monetize and then they realize that the samples haven't
been clear and they can get clear to where they get taken down so now it's a it's a very interesting
game between drake and universal music group because one of your biggest breadwinners because
keep in mind universal music group has like 59% of the overall music market
share as far as October, right? So, no, as far as like 2024 up to date in October. So with that being
said, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, all those others could make up for Drake
leaving. But Drake is still on the contract. So with that being said, the overall battle between
Universal Music Group and Drake is simply for the, uh, it's simply,
put out music on platforms we can monetize, right?
Why is Drake doing the 100 gigs putting music out on free platforms
like it's back in the day with SpinRilla and SoundCloud and things of that nature?
Because it's exactly that.
He wants to have that mixtape type of feel where he could just throw out music
and fans just tell him what is high and what it's not.
But only problem with that is you signed a contract, my brother.
It's like if LeBron James went and started playing for some random professional
team in LA was seeing him hoop at like the the random fitness center and and everybody's showing up to
watch him hoop right for for some random professional team they will be upset they'd be like you know what
you have a contract under us and you're out here giving out free performances that we can't monetize off of
so hopefully that that clears it up for why these releases on social media is a little tricky and I don't
think these rappers who are unequivocally pawns in a game of music because lucian grange
those are the real puppet masters when it comes to signing musicians and making them pop in the global
uh grand scale of things right so if you're going to battle a higher up i just hope that
you con with a better marketing strategy from when they inevitably let you go so
to bring this full circle.
Jermaine,
going on YouTube to put out this track,
I think it's just letting fans know
that he understands why they're upset,
but he just had to give this side.
And then after giving his side, guess what?
You are still in hip-hop timeout.
All that for what?
So anyways, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about J-Code's new track,
Port Antonio?
And also, in the aftermath of the video,
Drake and Kendrick Beef, do you look at Jay Cole any different?
Now, I would be completely lying to you if I said I listen to Little Tech's music.
But to be fair, his supporters and the overall listeners of Little Techers' album, Plan A,
have been bringing it up to me time and time again, asking why did not cover this album in the slightest, like, at all.
So to do my part as far as the due diligence in covering Lil Tekka, we are now here to talk about his album, Plan A.
So for those who don't know, and of course for his supporters that wanted me to do this, you know, here it is, as Plant A came out September 20, 2024 under Republic Records, a division of
UMG recordings so shout out to little teka for being under the the big dog in the music
industry when it comes to the universal music group but anyways his album plan a debuted with 42,000
units and um as far as its position on the album billboard 200 list he was at number nine so it was
definitely a strong outing i would say i mean big sean just had 22 000 the baby just had 9,000
So with Little Tech of putting up 42,000 first week sales, I mean, that's pretty pivotal in itself because every artist that's flopping will tell you that first week sales don't matter.
When in all actuality, that's the most anticipation that you can build as far as your supporters going to support your music.
So why in the world would we take a whole universal litmus scale and just throw it away just because flopping rappers are talking about how first week sales don't matter.
Now, what they mean is probably first week sales isn't the only thing that matters because
like Travis Scott, which I've pointed out multiple times, will go number one with a certain
project selling T-shirts, hoodies and things of that nature because he bundles it because
he's more of in the fashion industry.
And then once his inventory runs out, basically, the music sales go down.
Now, that is when I could give credence to what they say about first week sales not mattering.
But even with that, the first week sales and then the second week sales drop off is a real thing.
So once you garner that, I mean, once you cover that as far as analyzing why it dropped off so much,
it's still a pretty fair universal litmus scale to judge how pivotal and how important you are
analytically to the masses, right?
So anyways, with that out the way, Little Tech has been doing phenomenal.
mean he had a track chart 45 on a hot rnb slash hip hop songs chart and then he had a track chart
18th on the new zealand hot singles chart now how did that happen i would be very interested
to hear how that would even you know be fathomable so anyways um the track never last
released simultaneously with number two and of course when it comes to his other track taste that was
one of the singles and then um ah okay i can't read my fault okay so it's singles so it was four singles
before the album came out number two released on may third 2024 alongside never last and that track
went 45 on a hot r&b in hip-hop songs chart in 18th on news.
Zealand saw a hot singles chart then you had Neverlast which released simultaneously
with number two there's no specific charting details with that track so I'm just
gonna assume it didn't do as well then you had taste that released August 9th and
went number 31 on New Zealand hot singles chart what's up with these New Zealand
stats so and then bad time which released August 20th
made it onto 35 on a hot R&B slash hip hop songs chart i'm gonna stop talking about new zealand because
i don't know what type of fan base they got and they're trying to get in trouble but is he like
touring over there is he like giving them like a a show to die for like what type of uh wizardry is he
doing over there to to get their attention to so many people in new zealand anyways um plan a
17 tracks right the album is very interesting because little teca has emphasized that he
wants to step into a more mature phase of his career, which is why this is titled Plan 8.
And the album actually has certain elements as far as his personal growth and development to make
you understand why he's taking a route of going mature, right? Because I believe this is the same
person, and this is how you know I don't listen to a lot of Little Tekka. I think this is the same
person that said I have two twin glocks turn it to a dancer. I mean, I don't know how old
little tech is, but that makes no sense. Little tech of age. Oh, this man's 22. That makes all the
sense in the world. I ain't going to lie to you. Because that track came out what, like three years ago?
Let me see 20. Okay, so now that's four, five, five years ago. Goodness. This man was 17?
That's ridiculous. All right. No wonder he had that bar.
So anyways, yeah, his brain just didn't fully develop.
So we're going to let him slide.
We're going to let him slide with that one.
But he's 22 now, so hopefully he starts to get together.
And he seems like he's going to start getting it together as wanting to step into the mature phase of his career as such a young age with his album titled Plan A.
It's pretty significant, especially for a young man like him.
And then, of course, with the overall performance on the charts having 44,000 first week sales,
i know 42 000 uh first week sales very very impressive with every single hip hop rapper you know
having such a downward spiral in their first week sales and just overall sales because of course
people don't really have exposable income like that so to even put up these numbers
when you see superstar rappers flopping is impressive so shout out to little teka shout out to his
fan base i'm glad that y'all have put plan a on the map to the point where people have no choice
but to recognize it and also he is putting up numbers in one of the more um desolate years as far as numbers
for hip-hop right so some of the collaborative um efforts on the album as don tulliver with the track i can't let it
a lot of the engagement that Teke has continued to receive from his fan base is basically
because of the deep connection that he's just cultivated over time to the point where like I said
I would not be covering this because I do not listen to Little Teca but his uh his people was adamant
that I even give it you know just a review or a listen so I may give it a listen maybe later
on but as far as right now it very it is very interesting how his album is higher overseas in
certain charts than it is in the u.s and that is peculiar but i was just going to point that out
and let you all do what y'all want with that information right um as far as the album there's
something else i was going to get into oh yeah so plan a plan a has don't tall
on it and then that's basically it the rest of it's just a little tecker so 44 minutes 18 tracks
and still showcasing why he is definitely a force to be a force to be reckoned with not just
flat my fault um he is definitely out here putting up numbers and you know I'm not going to call
him a big dog because of course you know meek mills say you have to have a hundred thousand
first week sales to be a big dog which of course is a joke I'm joking but um this this definitely
puts him in a certain category
I mean, he's been putting out music since, let's see, he's been putting out music since 2019.
If I can count, hold up.
Yeah, his first release on DSPs was 2019 with to track somebody, which I do remember that track.
That track was hard.
But that track came out October 11th, 2019.
So you know how they say hip hop is like a running back type of career with three to four years.
and then you're out of the league for Littoteca to still be going even after i mean he's still around that
but he's basically passed that with him getting into his fifth year so because with 2019
2020 he really ain't start to 2020 so 2020 2020 2021 22 23 24 so yeah about five years so
with that being said you know he's definitely uh breaking the odds of
He's basically overcoming the odds as far as what people project as far as the career length.
Pause.
So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about Little Techers new album out now in all DSPs titled Plan A?
And if you've listened to it, what is your favorite track?
In today's TechBites, TikTok shutting down its music streaming service.
TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, says TikTok music will end in no.
November just over a year after it launched.
Existing TikTok accounts were able to sync with TikTok music, allowing people to download songs that appeared in videos by dance had been in royalty disputes with music publishers.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have seen one of the pivotal players as far as marketing machines for independent artists bite the dust.
support went out for TikTok music as it will be shut down globally on November 28th,
2024.
Now, of course, TikTok originally launched in July 23 in Indonesia and Brazil expanded to Singapore,
Australia and Mexico, but never reached the U.S.
So as far as the platform rebranding, they've just decided to completely shut it down globally.
As ByteDance, which is the owners of TikTok and all these other extracurricular lanes, they're going down with TikTok.
They basically said that they want to focus on TikTok's role in enhancing music discovery through streaming services rather than directly competing in the streaming market.
Translation, Universal Music Group were going to put foot on neck if they ever tried to make their own DSP.
When I tell you that Universal Music Group, which for those who don't remember,
earlier this year, I believe, UMG basically took all the artists off of TikTok.
Why did they do that?
Simply for the fact that they weren't getting enough cut of the pie as far as royalty.
right as far as the payments that they was receiving so i'm trying to find out when this happened um
let's see ticto umg dispute date i think it happened okay yeah so january january 30th
2024 if you look up ticot analytic dreams everything as far as me covering tick tock will pop up
on whatever podcast platform you listen on but basically i covered it in its entirety so i'm
not going to be it a dead horse but universal music group is unequivocally the big dogs in the
music industry they told ticot to either pay us more or we're taking our artists off ticot basically
said who you think you're talking to so umg was like all right i got you bet that and they took
all the artists off the platform, right?
The biggest gangster in the music industry, Taylor Swift,
comes during the hiatus of them taking their artists off of TikTok and tells UMG,
if you don't put us back on TikTok, I'm going to raise, you know what, via my swifties.
And now, coincidentally, TikTok and UMG found a way to co-existent as
UMG's catalog is now back on TikTok.
So anyways, that's the ratchet version of what happened.
But anyways, the reason why I say that is because I think this is just another
effect of them trying to get into the music industry.
Because yes, I do believe TikTok ultimately is one of the most pivotal marketing machines
you can have as an independent musician.
but UMG Warner Sony are not going to let TikTok take over because then it makes their quote
unquote major label machine look basically it makes it look um like it can't compete and that's a bad
thing when you're paying money to somebody who's quote unquote a master marketer but somebody who's
the independent artist promoting their music on TikTok day and day out is getting more streams
than you simply for the fact that TikTok has a better algorithm when it comes to algorithm.
What's that word?
Algorithmically.
I think I almost said it.
Anyways, I'm keeping that in.
So TikTok's algorithm, basically, promotes content in a way that's very unique and effective.
I don't know why other social media's haven't been able to figure it out, but a song on TikTok,
can literally go viral overnight.
Doesn't matter when it's released.
Reach millions of people that can lead to all type of brand deals
and success in the music industry.
Notable examples, Little Nause X and Doja Cat.
So popular on TikTok to the point now,
people don't even look at them as like a TikTok artist.
Even though most of their viral hits,
the long-term hits,
and as far as how they've found and managed to keep themselves,
in front of the masses has been done through TikTok.
So anyways, those are just two examples I wanted to use.
But there's so many other examples of,
and that's a major label artist using the independent machine of TikTok.
That's when it's combined.
You get a little Nas X and a dojicat.
You already know how big those two are.
So getting back into TikTok,
I think this is a big deal that TikTok music is going down,
but it's not as much of a big deal.
because by dance is a reason of wanting TikTok to play more of a role than like directly competing in the streaming market makes sense because they don't want UMG to ever try to put their foot on their necks again because who knows if Taylor Swift will save them next time but users have as far as TikTok music users have until October 28th to transfer playlist and refund requests must be submitted by November 28th and then as far as the overall refunding detail
I mean, Apple and Google Play can easily request refunds, and then you will be issued automatically, depending on the platform.
And then if the subscriptions extend beyond November 28th.
So, you know, if it expires before that, you can't be like, oh, I want a refund for a month you didn't even pay for, right?
So anyways, in consequence of TikTok music being shut down, bite dance will be pivoting to expanding the ad to music app,
features, you know, they're expanding the app of TikTok by putting the feature of add to music app,
where TikTok users will be able to save tracks to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon
music, and this service will be active. I don't know, it's already active in 150 countries.
So basically, TikTok music was never going to get off the ground for the simple fact that
these major labels allegedly have more control than they let on when it comes to a Spotify,
Apple music, or YouTube music.
Because more notably, that's the whole reason I even brought up the Universal Music Group
dispute in this segment, simply for the fact that UMG literally pulled the whole entire
catalog off of TikTok because TikTok wasn't paying them enough.
So when have you ever seen that happen with?
Spotify, YouTube, or Amazon.
Never, right?
Because they play ball.
TikTok, I'm not going to say why or how or what I think is the reason.
But let's just say they were perplexed that UMG was asking so much.
And they thought that they was out of their mind.
So they was like, take your artists.
And they took them.
So, yeah, hopefully TikTok learns to play ball in the music industry.
Because, hey, what that one meme say?
it get wicked you'd be like it get wicked for real and um i don't know if they have certain uh procedures
in place to protect them from that i mean because the u.s government to as we speak is trying to take
the whole platform down so for ticto music to be taken down by ticot it's almost as if they're
focusing on trying to play ball when it comes to the u.s market when it comes to uh music market share
And that was basically all I had to say.
I think there was something else I was going to get into.
But I think I covered everything because the disputes, because if you don't know, I mean, TikTok would still play a huge role in music discovery, even without TikTok music.
I mean, TikTok in itself has 170 million US users and 67% are more likely to explore a song after hearing it on TikTok, which is insurmountable when it comes to the other platforms.
even the conversion rate isn't even close to 67% when you listen to music on other apps so for some
reason TikTok has turned into the ANR uh basically the the epitome of an R right that is basically
TikTok at this point as far as getting the conversion rates to uh lead people to listen to more
independent music so i think it's a good thing because with the marketing
market share currently, I mean, independent artists literally, I say only, it's still a significant
amount when you think about the field, but others, which is independent artists, have 3%
of the field, and the UMG has 59%, Warner has 20%, and Sony has 18%. And this is the market,
this is the market share of all music out on DSPs. So independent artists are already
fighting behind an eight ball, but now it's like TikTok helps them have more of a
a chance of blowing up compared to an artist under a major machine.
So them shutting down TikTok music effectively hurts the different ventures and the sub-apps
of TikTok.
But as far as TikTok, they just have to worry about being taken down by the U.S.
government because if they don't divest into U.S. companies, then it may be revisiting
TikTok shutting down soon.
So with that being said, click my link to your my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about TikTok music shutting down globally on November 28th,
2024?
And did you ever use TikTok music?

I think this show's going to be real true.
Whether you're a lifelong fan or brand new to Marvel, the official Marvel podcast.
All right, bro.
We ain't trying to hear that anymore.
All right.
So basically, the reason why I'm bringing this up is for the simple fact that I'm a huge Marvel nerd.
So with that being stated, I think the old.
overall sentiments that I have of this podcast being effectively made by one of one of my favorite
companies of all time is that Kevin Feigy is trying to figure out what y'all want now he currently
has a show out on well I say him but you know he's the executive producer so technically
but um uh let me see so agatha
all along is currently out right now.
And I think they just put out episode five.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, I just want to let you know that Agatha is the reason the
MCU has looked at the way it is.
Who in the world ask for an Agatha TV show?
The amount of top tier A list characters that we,
haven't even received great storylines from or four and we're focused on agatha that is why i'm saying
that overall them putting out this podcast is very interesting for the simple fact that what are y'all
are you going to be talking about how everything in the multiverse sucks how everything when it
comes to mimicking the success of the previous
rollout for the Avengers movie has failed or are you just going to talk about the future as far as
Marvel movies because as a Marvel stand I can admit when they have slipped a little and let's just
say they've slipped a lot now as far as the timeline you know I'd like to give constructive criticism
so X-Men 97 was a great step in the right direction as far as where they can go
But why is that?
Because they're focusing on A-list characters and treating them as such.
Making spinoffs of spinoffs is not going to work anymore,
especially when you have flop after flop after flop.
So with Deadpool and Wolverine being one of the first movies to come out after you said
that you was going to make a pivot, that's a great move because now we are focusing on A-list
heroes and then fantastic four movie that's upcoming seems to be also in a you know as far as
artistically it's in a unique position to make a special addition to the mccu because we
we need characters that give us something we didn't have before like shank i don't know about y'all
but i like shang chie that made me feel like we was getting off on the right foot with shang chie
I thought that movie was fire.
I thought we was getting into a whole different realm that we've never seen.
And then we got, well, was Black Widow before that, after that?
I think we got Thor.
It was one of those.
And it was just like more of the same.
Focusing on A-list characters while also switching it up, I think it's going to be pivotal.
And X-Men universe needs to overtake the Avengers in a foreseeable future.
So after these upcoming Avenger movies,
we shouldn't get another one for a while because x-men should take over and dominate as far as you
trying to copy what the animation uh not copy because you know you can't really translate animation to live
action but basically x-men needs to be the focal point you know how you have the avengers movie like
avengers versus this villain avengers versus that villain like that needs to be the x-men like
x-men versus this x-man versus that and then have the whole x-man versus avengers which if you're not
familiar with it's probably it's one of the few collabs as far as Avengers and X-Men but I mean
honestly X-Men and Avengers is like Marvel and DC them co-existing seems weird because of their
own validity and solid foundation on their own so if you get to the point where you're
scrambling to put together certain movie timelines
I think focusing on one of the other would be best.
So that's why I say after these next Avenger films,
then you're going to get into X-Men and then just let them dominate for their saga, right?
Like the mutant saga, right?
So, but, you know, right now they're trying to wrap this up because, you know,
Kang, the actor in real life, you know, got a little caught up.
So now, you know, they transitioned to having Robert Downey Jr.
your comeback to save the day as he's going to be playing dr doom so that's going to wrap up the
whole avenger uh avengers you know saga as far as the motivirce saga and then i think we need to
go from the multiverse saga to the mutant saga i don't know if they already announced it or whatever
but that's just my two cents so anyways getting back into the podcast right the marvel the official
Marvel podcast is going to provide deep dive into the expansive Marvel universe covering movies
TV shows comics games and more and then of course some of the up-to-day details is the you know
going to be given by the podcast host Ryan Agent M. Pinagos I think that's how you say it
Lorraine Sink and occasional features feature guests like James Monroe ill heart
I don't even know you said that.
Anyways, as far as what they're going to be focusing on,
obviously going to be focused on Marvel content,
but more intriguing and more interesting.
They're going to be getting into some of the behind-the-scenes information
that fans would not be able to find or hear anywhere else.
So that is something where I am a little envious of.
It's like being a player and then starting your own podcast.
Like you have stories about locker room stuff that you would never have.
If, well, no, that you can never have if you wasn't in that.
situation so even though they earn the right to have those stories it's still like dang like they
really do have all type of behind the scenes like i just saw brea larsson walking one day and just
slap anthony macky like you know what if they just have random stories while the movie's being
made obviously they won't get into anything like that because you know it's probably a lawsuit
but um you know just crazy stories about that like oh robert downy junior came man said a joke and
walked out and everybody was on the floor
rolling around laughing you know what i mean like so um i think those type of stories would be great as far as
hearing um their side of things so hopefully they're as far as the the host hopefully ryan and lorraine
hopefully they're very involved in every single movie so that way they can uh give more of the behind
the scene details and more of the locker room talk you know as much as they can because you know
marvel's pretty tight-lipped i mean if y'all seen the the the
media rollout for Infinity War.
They were not messing around.
I mean, talk about tight lip and tight ship.
Basically handing out fake scripts to the point where the real actors who would actually
had pivotal screen time in a movie was just acting with ghosts because they couldn't tell
you with what character you was with at the time.
Like, Marvel really keeps things tight look and tight ship, which is why I think this being
a podcast about insider talk needs to be the full.
focal point. I don't think people care too much for the up-to-date, the future details as far as
what Marvel has coming and stuff like that because, of course, they have to get into that.
I mean, it's a Marvel podcast. I think it'll be best when they get into the quote-unquote
Marvel locker room talk where they talk about the behind the scenes of certain actors and
movies, but I don't know. Sometimes you can't get into that because what if they just rude?
Like, you know what I mean? Like, if you lean up to a movie,
it'd be hard to say like oh this um tom holland came in just uh back flipped and kicked me in the face you know what i'm saying
like you can't really you know make these actors look a certain way especially if you're promoting them so i guess
there's a fine line but hey they chose to be a part of this uh industry podcast so i need industry
insider information but with their names on it it probably hard to get to two you know
two colorful commentary as far as uh the marvel fandom fandom
is considered. But anyways, with that being said, there's something else. Oh, Apple Podcasts,
Spotify, and all the other podcast platforms, you can find the official Marvel podcast,
which is literally titled the official Marvel podcast. Talk about on the nose. I mean, goodness.
So, yeah, that's basically it. So click my link to your in my bio. Let me know one of my social
media's what do you think about the official marvel podcast and what has been your favorite episode so far
since it is october which is Halloween season is only right we get into a psychological horror
as far as a classic a staple in the horror genre that is a remake of the original game
that helped define the original psychological horror genre which is silent hill two so
So ladies and gentlemen, the remake has been available or made available October 8th, 2024 on platforms like PlayStation 5 PC and my fault.
You know what?
I can't even help myself.
For some reason, I just find the need to point out the Xbox has no games.
But you know, hey, that's just me, right?
My fault.
My fault for pointing it out.
you know, objectively speaking, y'all can't play this game at all.
You know what I'm saying?
So anyways, getting back to the platforms that do and are able to play this game,
PlayStation 5 and PC, of course, is doing phenomenal on the PlayStation platform as
when it comes to the PS5, it's the third most play game on that platform, right?
Dragon Ball Spark in Zero is 1, EA Sports FC25,
which I've covered in this episode, is second,
and the Silent Hill 2 is following it up at the number 3 spot.
And of course, this game just came out.
When looking at the Steam analytics, you can see that the 24-hour peak was 12.
Actually, it wasn't 12.
It was 19,000 and 390 to be exact, right?
The game is $70 on Steam on PS5.
Now, as far as the concurrent player base on Steam, right now, it's 12,000.
So for it to have top three best-selling game as far as PS5,000.
5 is considered currently and then to have it on the list of popular releases for
Steam but also trending in a way of having and holding that 12,000 concurrent player base
which doesn't make it one of the more popular games on Steam currently but that's okay
right because there's games that take up the spot that's been around for forever
like apex legends Counterstrike 2
wallpaper engine is hilarious but a doda 2 PubG things of that nature
Dragon Ball did make the top list as far as most play games on Steam, but that's, you know, besides the point.
Because of course, when you're making a horror game, I feel like you're already cutting off a certain fan base as far as people who don't enjoy being scared or paying money to be scared, which I fall in line of.
Because I just can't reasonably get across why I would pay money to scare myself, right?
I mean, being a black man in America, I ain't going to go down that road.
But you already know, like, it's scary enough, right?
While I pay money to get my heart beat and my heart rate raised even more.
So anyways, getting it to Silent Hill 2 in the remake.
Of course, with this game having a release as far as a remake,
it's very interesting for the simple fact that it's been developed by Blueber team.
What type of name is Blueber?
But, hey, we're just going to go past that, right?
So Silent Hill 2 remake was done.
developed by Blueber team, published by Konami.
And of course, Blueber in general is known for a psychological horror.
And that is why they was able to be an approach to develop the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Because of course, you want to preserve the game's eerie atmosphere that it already captured in the original release.
But then partnering with an established team in the horror genre, such as Blueber, makes the remake even more imperative as far as the games.
narrative. So when it comes to Kunami, I mean, they're the publishers, so that just means
the overall involvement is just overseeing the development of this video game. So to outsource
the Bluebird, to let them strategically move to revitalize the Silent Hill series, it led to this
outcome as far as it being released on PS5 and PC, but not only that the sales have came out
for Silent Hill 2. And the consensus is this may be, I'm not going to say game of the year,
But let's just say the reviews for this game is out of this world.
I mean, 9 out of 10, 8.7 out of 10, 5 out of 5, 90 out of 10, 8 out of 10, 87 out of 100.
I'm going to get to the specific reviews in a second as far as putting the name with the reviews.
But I just want to let you know that the general consensus is that this is a very, this is very much an improvement upon the game.
Now, one of the more notable things that's been improved, of course, is the graphics with it, you know, being so.
with the release of the remake being significantly,
well having significant more capabilities
when it comes to technological advancements
versus the original release.
So now people are noticing the vast improvements
of upgrades, of course.
And as far as the original,
there's been significant differences in combat
and gameplay mechanics for the simple fact that,
you know, when it first came out,
they probably didn't have a lot to work with.
So amongst the revitalization of or amongst the, amongst them revitalizing the gameplay mechanics, the graphics, they also changed up the soundtrack as they have remastered original music, but they also have new sound effects to leverage their modern hardware.
So of course, with technological advancements, they've been using that to the utmost, especially with Bluebird being so much of a veteran.
in this genre to know what to add to an already culture, uh,
colite classic, right? So anyways, the playing environment has expanded, allowing for
more exploration compared to the original game. There's new combat mechanics,
improve combat with more intelligent enemies that players can utilize stealth or,
and dodge mechanics during encounters. And of course, the dodging strategy, um, for players. It gives
little tip a tip bid that you should dodge enemy attacks and display openings to attack i mean goodness talk
about a i already know that type tip i mean goodness what they're going to tell me to uh press the
the stick to run next i mean goodness anyways all right getting back into the game so
a lot of things when it comes to the puzzle difficulties is is very much a discussion amongst the
player base but i am here to tell you that there are difficulty settings so
So easy obviously makes it simplified and makes it straightforward.
Normal makes the puzzles a little bit more difficult,
but they're easier and not as oversimplified as the easy version.
But then we get to the ultimate challenge,
which is the hard version,
which challenges players with more complex puzzles recommended for a balance experience.
So this is simply for the fact that the map functionality when it comes to Silent Hill 2 remake
is based on locked doors and items you haven't collected yet.
So I'm not going to say there's a lot of backtracking,
but there's some backtracking in the game, right?
And players should definitely utilize a lot of screenshots
for important in-game documents to get around the map
that also use the screenshots to aid in solving puzzles later.
So when it comes to Silent Hill 2 remake,
it comes to the overall public reception of it.
A lot of people are saying that the games relaunch seems to be a great improvement upon the original.
And they say that this is definitely a great step as far as reviving interest in the Silent Hill series.
And then of course, when it comes to sales, and this being in a horror genre,
you're already cutting off a significant portion of people who don't want to be scared when they play video games.
So with that being said,
them to still be the third most play game currently on a PS5 platform and then for them to still
have 12,000 concurrent players peaking as far as a 24-hour peak at 19,000, I think that's a significant
hold and should be an accomplishment especially for Bloomberg, especially for I said Bloomberg, that's
funny, especially for a Bluebird team in Konami. So overall, I mean, the gaming publication,
as far as reviewing this game Metacritic gave it an 87 out of 100 IGN gave it an 8 out of 10
Games Radar gave it a 70 out of 10 which is the lowest out of all these scores game spot
gave it a 90 out of 10 game informer gave it 8.75 goodness at it's in why why so specific
and a PC gamer gave it an 85 at 100 so overall a lot of these reviewers basically said
that this is the faithful recreation of the original's atmosphere and story,
but also enhances a lot of things when it comes to the gameplay mechanics and the visuals.
But they did note that it could feel repetitive at times,
which I'm always wary of that critique,
because in video games, there's always a replayable mechanic that has to happen.
There's a loop that you have to get into.
There's no video game that's going to consistently give you new gameplay mechanics
hour after hour after hour at some point the mechanics or the mechanics as far as the gameplay
is basically established and then the gameplay loop insists it just has to be an enjoyable gameplay loop
for the consumer so when they say it's repetitive i'm always wary about that because of course
saying it's repetitive is one thing saying that's repetitive with bare bones gameplay mechanics
is another. So that's why I would take that critique as far as it being repetitive with a
grain assault. But overall, Silent Hill 2 seems to be well received. A lot of people are praising
it for its atmospheric horror and faithful recreation of the original Silent Hill 2. And it be in October,
safe to say that this is emphatically one of the better horror games that you will play
in the month of October for 2024. So with that being said, click my link to your my bio.
me know one of our social medias what do you think about the silent heel to remake have you
played it and if you haven't will you be giving it a try
