Starting point is 00:00:32 What's going on on internet? Analytic here, aka Dreams, and I'd like to welcome you to mine, which I call the notorious Mass Effect podcast. I'm your hip-hop and gaming news source with a little bit of R&B mixed in, and of course for episode 143, which I will get to the title in a second. But first and foremost, hey, that's me. I heard, all right, my fault, my fault. So anyways, as you can see, for the people over at Analytic Dreams video on Spotify, or if you see this after the fact on YouTube, just know that we have been upgrading the production as far as video and as far as audio, as you can see right now with the whole setup I have.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And in general, we have been executing more of a soft launch for the Patreon. And the reason why I say soft launch is because, of course, I'm going to create a launch trailer. And I have an idea on how I wanted to go. so that's going to take a minute as far as putting that together so this is more of a soft launch but as far as the video feature right now as you can see with analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio but signing up to the patreon well as far as um add free content as far as unedited footage and you know soon to to be uh behind the scenes footage updated as far as the patreon because because with the video production, with the way that the podcast has been doing, like phenomenal, basically,
Starting point is 00:02:09 y'all's success is something I don't take for granted, so I always want to upgrade the product. And one of the ways I wanted to upgrade was the overall production that we have right now, which is why you see currently what's going on as far as the video element and things in the future that's coming. But why do I say that? as far as the Patreon is considered is because for one unedited footage the most important thing to me
Starting point is 00:02:36 to give to y'all is ad free content of course the patreon is a $5 monthly subscription but compare that to the amount of ads that you hear throughout all the content that I put out I think a $5 monthly subscription is definitely adequate as far as giving you value for your dollar so I definitely want to be doing the Patreon if I didn't think it was worthwhile as far as y'all's time and of course hard-earned dollar because another thing I wanted to get into was the giveaway so episode 142 I got into the giveaway as far as the details and how to enter into the giveaway it's pretty simple all you have to do is just sign up to my Patreon via my link tree in my bio and then people who become a new member as far as signing up just all you have to
Starting point is 00:03:27 to do is share the Patreon link on whatever social media platform you prefer and tag me in it so that I'll see you and then it will give you an extra chance to win. So of course to enter the giveaway all you have to do is just sign up to the Patreon. But if you want an extra percentage, you know a higher percentage of winning the giveaway because it's going to be a weekly awards essentially. So each week I'm gonna pick somebody out who signs up to the Patreon and we are well I'm going to be Santa Claus that's basically I'm gonna be Santa Claus and you know in no December coming up everybody just skips over Thanksgiving I don't know why but as far as Thanksgiving that is just
Starting point is 00:04:15 the most underrated holiday ever because I guess people just ain't thankful you know what I mean so anyways but I am going to be Santa Claus as far as this giveaway and what I mean by that is whoever signs up and you actually if you actually end up winning because i have like a generator down but put the names in and just randomly generate by that so it's not like a a rigged system right so if you randomly get selected i'm going to message you through the patreon app and ask you what you would want as far as a reward now of course it can't be like you can't say oh i want a car right I can't do that. Like, as far as the dollar amount, I'm not going to say it because then I think people just max it out.
Starting point is 00:05:00 But it could be a pretty worthwhile gift. Let me just say it like that. I think as far as I'm definitely not giving the price amount. But I'm going to be lenient and very flexible with whatever you want. Just make it reasonable as far as a gift, right? And then I have a whole system in place and people helping me to wear. I can get that to you. And then, yeah, that's essentially it.
Starting point is 00:05:28 So if you win, that's basically the results of that. That's the follow up. I'm going to ask you what you would like as a reward. You tell me. And then, hey, we're going to make it happen. You know what I mean? And this is just something I've been wanting to do as far as giving back to the people who support me because that's the top priority for me because of the amount of success.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I mean, we're averaging 160 to 180,000 weekly downloads. that is insane. And it kind of made me even more excited because of the people I'm working with now because I talked about expanding the team in episode 142 and now it's coming into fruition. I did not know how much of a lengthy process this was going to be as far as hiring. But now we see that it's worthwhile as a lot of things are going to be easier on me as far as the workload when it comes to notorious mass effect,
Starting point is 00:06:21 which means for y'all more content because I'm going to, I can focus on this part as far as the recording aspect of it. So anyways, to reiterate why you should sign up to the Patreon, one, because it's ad-free, and two, is because you're going to get exclusive content as far as the Patreon platform and behind the scenes footage whenever I do start vlogging. That is another thing that's on the itinerary for the future. And I think I've already said I've covered DreamCon as a segment. dream if you look up dream con analytic dreams it should pop up but basically that's going to be
Starting point is 00:06:58 also patreon exclusive content for the most part when i say unedited i mean certain vlogs are going to be shortened to put out on all platforms but as far as a patreon you'll have the full length thing no ditty so anyways um yeah so patreon if you want to answer the giveaway just all you have to do is sign up but if you want an extra chance a higher chance of winning the giveaway, then share the Patreon link via your social media and tag me in it for an extra chance to win. And weekly, I will be choosing somebody as a winner of the giveaway. So now that we got that out of the way as far as the Patreon shameless plug, there was something
Starting point is 00:07:41 else. Oh, okay. So yeah, of course, with every episode, I give an update as far as the happenings in the life of, you know, my experiences, right? So with that being said, it's been a very jam-packed October. And why do I say that? For the simple fact that I've been everywhere and anywhere, right? You know the movie, anywhere?
Starting point is 00:08:08 Well, I don't even know what the movie was called. It was like anywhere, everywhere, all at once. It was something like that. Basically, that's how I felt for the month of October. I've been running constantly. So now it's been slowing down a bit. spending actual weekends in one place, so that's nice. So why do I say that?
Starting point is 00:08:24 Because, you know, of course, one of the biggest events of that month for me was seeing my close friend get married. And that was one of the more pivotal moments for his life, of course. But, you know, especially for me, seeing him grow since day one. I think that was just a humongous, like, accomplishment. And it was very emotional as far as the overall event and just seeing him go through. through the process of getting married as far as on stage in front of the world to see. Because of course, I was part of groomsmen.
Starting point is 00:08:57 So having a front row seat also was pretty cool, you know. So that was one of the highlights for October. And also I went to Georgia. So yes, ladies and gentlemen, I went to Georgia and just to visit the, I don't know if that's too personal. So let's just say I went to Georgia, right? I have a very interesting story that I'm going to get back to in the second. But in third but third but not least. Well, last but not least, but it's the third.
Starting point is 00:09:28 So y'all get what I'm saying, right? Anyways, the upgrade of the automobile has happened. And there will be a post for that. That's all I can say. That's more of the personal side of thing. I try not to get into too much detail, even though I don't hide my personal life as far as my social platforms personally for that. But as far as this platform and the amount of people I engage with on a weekly basis, I don't dive deeply into that because, you know, I want to keep somewhat of a mystique. But if you dive deep enough, you'll be able to find it if that's important to you.
Starting point is 00:10:13 So anyways, getting back into my trip to Georgia. Now, I don't know if it's because Gunna inspired me, but heading to Atlanta where the biggest gangster of Atlanta is currently residing, even though he's like living in Florida right now, but that's a whole other discussion. I somehow going to Atlanta, the rat gene, the quote unquote snitch gene rubbed off on my. me now of course i'm a law-abiding citizen so i just call i just call it truth-telling right i'm just telling the truth to where to whoever needs to hear it so with that being considered i was packing my bags you know i'm getting better at traveling with not such a large load because of the frequency that i'm now traveling for different things um so for this when i was going to atlanta and of course i have my bags and things in nature getting into the the the check-in line you know as far as the
Starting point is 00:11:16 TSA, I'm just hoping they don't body slam me or turn me upside down so I made sure not to have anything illegal, right? Because I don't have anything illegal in the first place, but hey, carry a bottle of liquid that's too large and they just throw you in jail, you know what I'm saying? Obviously, I'm exaggerating, but you're not getting on the same, right? So I'm getting up to the line and for some reason, the guy in front of me, he was fidgeting the whole time. I don't know what it was. You know, I'm a pretty non-judgmental guy. So I'm just thinking to myself, you know, maybe he's just nervous, right? This is his first time, too. Maybe he doesn't want to.
Starting point is 00:11:46 get body slammed or turned upside down so i think nothing of it we get up to the line where they ask for your id right he gives them their id and i kid you not that man looked at it for for straight for five minutes straight at least five to ten minutes straight he was just looking at his id looking at the guy and then he called somebody he literally calls somebody on like the little walkie-talkie on or whatever they have so i'm here thinking we got a criminal on our hands no i just play i'm joking so i'll just I didn't think that enough. I wasn't even really paying attention. I was looking at my ID making sure I had it to set the go because they was yelling at people. They was like, hey, we told y'all this 30 times the next person who don't pay attention. You got to, there was like something like he had to go
Starting point is 00:12:29 to another line or something like that. So they was upset. So here I am. I'm like, I can't mess up. I got my ID in my hand. All right. So he looks at his ID for like 10 minutes, but then he lets him pass, right? I get up there less than 20 seconds. I'm past him because, you know, I actually listen to what they were saying. So. then we get into the check baggage lane right we put our bags in the in the little conveyor belt or whatever you call it and so everything's going smoothly i get through the little scanner thing no problems and then obviously as far as me packing i was like i'm so glad i doubled and triple checked everything to make sure i didn't have anything that wasn't
Starting point is 00:13:06 uh uh assible through the little conveyor belt with the x-ray scan or whatever so now i see my uh first bag coming through and then I see one of the workers one of the staff people they have a look on their face and they walk in fast right and they have a luggage in their hand and here I am I'm the next in line so I'm thinking oh that's probably my bag so I'm looking at it and Lord and behold as it wasn't my bag it was somebody else's bag it was the guy headed me so here I am at first mind of my business right he was like whose bag is this he kept pointing to it just like whose bag is this
Starting point is 00:13:46 And obviously something was in that bag that did not need to be there. So I already have my bags. And I couldn't help but notice the guy who was in front of me, he was looking for his next bag. And I was thinking to myself, well, hold up. Wasn't that the same color bag he had when he was checking in his ID? So here I am. I tapped him on the sword. I was like, hey, hey, I think, I think, that's your bag right there.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Obviously, I ain't say like that. I was like, hey, sir, I think that's your bag. I don't know if he was looking for it. Because he was looking at the conveyor belt. He was like, I don't know where my bag is. But the whole time, I did not think to myself that he was ignoring the man. I did not think he was ignoring him for the sole purpose that he didn't want to claim it. So here I am tapping on his shoulder to tell him that's his bag.
Starting point is 00:14:35 The staff person sees me telling him that that's his bag. And he's like, hey, you come here. So yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially going to tell him. Ultimately, I just want to tell you all that if I end up missing, because I don't want to get canceled, but all I'm going to say is, and I don't be profiling, right? But the individual definitely seems like he had the capacity to set up some things. Let me just say it like that.
Starting point is 00:15:05 You know what I'm saying? So if I end up missing, it's because of that. It's because I was a truth teller on the wrong day. Sometimes he just pays to mind your business. So anyways, that was my tale on traveling tail. obviously the happenings when I got there was phenomenal spent time with family which is always most important to me and that's always a reset as far as just enjoying time with your family and always acknowledging your foundation as far as them getting you to the point that you otherwise wouldn't have
Starting point is 00:15:37 got to without your support and that's something I always keep in the back of my mind so yeah the trip went great and that was just another highlight of my jam-packed October and obviously I left a lot because I'm not going to tell y'all everything about my personal life. But with this being episode 143, you know, I had to give y'all more of an update because I do that with every episode. And I definitely had a lot to talk about in the month of October. Let's just say a lot went down. And as far as the upgrade in the automobile, for the people who follow my personal page, you will be seeing it soon. I may get some monopoly money just to do a fake money spray.
Starting point is 00:16:15 That's how serious it is. That's what it calls for. and that is just based off of the success of the podcast and of course other things and just always staying true to your purpose and most importantly where my camera with my full camera hold up and more importantly staying true to yourself all right i love switching back and that's the that's the main thing I like with this new video set up so anyways uh enough with the dramatics let's get into um episode 143 which is titled from nashville to the grammies now you may be asking yourself why in the world would you say from nashville to the gramees
Starting point is 00:17:04 like what does nashville have to do with the grammies well i don't know if y'all been paying attention but as far as the grammy nominations bionzay had the most with 11 post malone had the most well the second most with seven well actually I think he tied with some other people but you got I'm saying like they was towards the top as far as big nominations as far as the Grammys is considered
Starting point is 00:17:25 and I had something else up I think I had the actual I had the actual list but of course of course I lost it let me see if I could find it again okay here we go yeah so post Malone had 11 no post Malone had seven Beyonce had the most
Starting point is 00:17:46 with 11 and what do they have in common of course both of them put out country centric albums and if you don't know about Nashville it's basically called um as far as Nashville in general I forget I forget where I had it was something about music as far as Nashville Tennessee which I've you know it's so funny because I've been there personally and I still forgot what it was called I think it was like the city of music or something like that but ways the reason why i'm calling in nashville to the grammies is because of how influential nashville has been for just music in general but definitely country i mean every country artist always shouts out nashville for the simple fact that that's basically the essential roots
Starting point is 00:18:37 of hip-hop it's kind of like if well no it's it's it's exactly like when people shout out new york as far as when it comes to hip-hop now obviously hip-hop is popular and all around the world. But as far as specifically New York, everybody knows the roots of hip hop and how important it was. So when it comes to that, of course, Nashville is definitely very influential
Starting point is 00:19:01 as it had a huge cultural impact on a lot of these artists who are leading the nominations for the Grammys, which is why it's titled Nashville to the Grammys. Because the Nashville influence over country and it coming into fuller. as far as Beyonce's Cowboy Cardia, as far as Post Malone's F1 trillion. I mean, it just showcased how the city of music just really takes it to a whole other level.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Because, oh, Music City, that's what it is. So they were saying that Nashville is dubbed Music City, which I should have known that. I mean, the close friend I was talking about that got married, his bachelor party was in Nashville, Tennessee. And we was there for a good amount of time. And we had a blast. I'm not going to lie to you. We had a blast. But one of the main things I wanted to talk about was it being called Music City.
Starting point is 00:20:00 And it's known for the heart of country music. The city has a rich history of producing, influential artists and songs across multiple genres. But more specifically, it's the cultural hub for breeding talent, making us a significant player in the broader music landscape. and that was that was my um cnnn voice if y'all can tell um anyways so yeah nashville is very important in this entire episode because we're getting into how everybody in the mama just wanted to make a country album and honestly one of my favorite album my no my favorite album of 2024 is a country album but it's not from post malone or biance it's from shabuzzi with uh where i've been isn't where I'm going. I still think that is a classic to this day. I mean, the authentic country elements
Starting point is 00:20:51 combined with the hip-hop roots of what he put out. It's like what Little Nas tried to do, but times 10. Shibu-and-Shibuzi's been putting out music longer than Little Nause X, which is just a testament to always staying true to yourself and grinding until you get to the point where you're undeniable. And that's basically what Shibuzi did, as of course a bar song is Grammy-nominated And that is obviously Nashville roots as he literally shouts out Nashville in the bar song, I believe. And most of the music surrounding where I've been is and where I'm going is highlighting and shouting out Nashville over and over and over again. So that is essentially a very pivotal factor in a lot of music that's been consumed to the point where all of the Grammy nominations are going to these country albums. I mean, Shibuzi himself, he has five Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist,
Starting point is 00:21:51 basically marking the rise in the Nashville scene. So, of course, that is why I'm titling this episode, Nashville to the Grammys. But of course, we're going to get deep into that when I get to the actual Grammy nominations. But first, I wanted to talk about that, give you a, basically explain why I have this titled from Nashville to the Grammys. but also getting into the top of the charts because of course this is called notorious mass effect for the simple fact that we talk about things that have been affecting the masses on the higher scale as far as consumption these albums artists video games are doing it to the highest level which is why it's a notorious mass effect so that being said let's get into music first with the top five albums
Starting point is 00:22:43 currently being listened to in the world as, well, actually, let's start with market share. I don't like starting with market share because it really never changes. I mean, Universal Music Group is a big dog in the music industry for a reason.
Starting point is 00:22:56 This never changes as far as the market share. And it's lower than it usually is. But Universal Music Group has 48% of the 100% of the market share in the world. That is insane. Sony Music Entertainment has 27%. shout out to Travis Scott, of course, and Rod Wave, because they're the major players on Sony right now.
Starting point is 00:23:19 And then you have Warner with 21%. And then, of course, you have others, which is independent artists, with a whopping 4%. Now, I know that may not seem like a lot, but when you're going against a major machine that is Warner, Sony, Universal Music Group, 4% is still a huge amount when it comes to people independently putting out their product and still competing with people under major labels. So that being said, let's get into the top five albums in the world currently. And number one, I'm so glad that somebody's putting on for hip hop. I mean, Kendry put out a petafile anthem and went missing since we still don't know what that man is.
Starting point is 00:23:58 And of course, he ain't show up to the BET Awards, but guess what award show he may pop up to? You guessed it. The Grammys, of course. Anyways, with that being said, Tyler, the creator is or has the most listened to album in the world with chromocopia selling a whopping 160,000 units. And this album has been out for about two weeks, I believe. I want to fact check that because I want to just, you know, I can't spread fake news over here. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:24:28 October 28th. So when is that? That is about, so that's one, two, yeah, that's basically two or four weeks of tracking and it's still number one as far as the most consumed album in the world. So shout out to Tyler the creator for putting on for hip hop. Also, we have Sabrina Carpenter with the second most consumed album in the world with short and sweet selling 68,000 units. And then of course, Mr. UziVirt himself is number three with the third most album, most consumed album in the world with Eternal Take 2 selling a whopping 61,000 units. Now, I'm not going to say it's not an accomplishment, but compared to Little Uzi Verde when he just put this album out,
Starting point is 00:25:16 these are technically his first week sales and it's $61,000. Now, I don't know if y'all know, but Uzi with Eternal A Take sold around $300,000 first week. Now, I want to fact check that because Eternal A Take. So Little Uzi Verte sold three. 11,000 first week with Eternal A Take, which is why when we compare him to himself, Eternal Atake 2 is unequivocally a flop. So obviously for any other artist, 61,000 first week would be a huge accomplishment. For Uzi comparing him to himself, which is an accomplishment in itself to be compared to yourself for this amount of time.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Right. But still, the simple fact is Eternal Take 2 was a flop. But it's still the third most consumed album in the world. So for Uzi, you can tell we hold him to higher standards than the average artist. So anyways, the fourth most listened to album in the world is an artist I have not covered before. Now, this is a surprising one to me because I usually cover everybody who's impacting the mass, especially in the top five. But I've never heard of this artist.
Starting point is 00:26:33 It's fiction capital. Yeah, I have no idea what fiction capital is. But this artist is under Universal Music Group. So obviously Universal saw something special in them, but I've never heard of this group before. I don't even know if it's a group. Okay, so fiction, let me see. No, they brought up fiction records.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I do not know who, let me see. Because I would like to give some background if I never talked about the artist because imagine I'm just saying he has the fourth most play album in the world and it's a she right I got to make sure I get the artist right so okay so fiction cap an label is a British label the cure is a band okay so it's the first new material in 16 years what that is insane the first album 413 dream was released in 2008 and now they're back again again with songs of a lost world, which was released November 1st, 2024. And the genre is Gothic rock. Hey, don't let nobody ever tell you that we don't cover all genres on this podcast, right? So Gothic rock is currently the fourth most play album in the world as far as songs of a lost
Starting point is 00:28:10 world performed by The Cure, which is a band. So it's produced by Robert Smith and Paul Corket at Rockfield Studios in Wales. Walets, I don't know. Wallet to rapper now. I'll just play. All right. So as far as the band, you have one, two, three, four, five. You have five members.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Robert Smith is the vocalist and the guitar and the keyboard player. Simone Gallup is the bass player. Jason Cooper is on the drums. Roger O'Donnell is on the keyboard. And then Reeves, Gabrails, is. on a guitar. So shout out to them. You learn something new every day and they definitely came out of nowhere because I haven't heard anybody talk about them. No disrespect to them. But hey, that's what we're here for it. You know, when you actually do research,
Starting point is 00:28:57 you know, stuff pop up that you've never seen before. So yeah, shout out to the cure having the fourth most play album in the world. And then of course, number five is no surprise. Gracie Abrams is back again with the secret of us having the fifth most consumption when it comes to albums so of course to round off the top five albums currently in the world we have number five gracey abrams the secret of us number four the cure songs of a lost world number three little uze vert eternal take two then number two we have Sabrina carpenter with short and sweet and and of course i don't know how he didn't get more grammy noms for like record of the year or album of the year which i think he did get record of the year but as far as album of the year we're gonna get to
Starting point is 00:29:43 that when I get to the Grammy section of this podcast, but Shibuzi comes at, uh, what, what type of, uh, yeah, that was crazy. Shibuzzi's nowhere on this list. I'm not taking that out either. Uh, but I do, uh, stick to my sentiments of Shibuzzi needing the album of the year non, but it's okay. We're going to get to in a second. Anyways, don't know what train of thought I was going down, but that was completely wrong. As Tyler, Tyler the creator. Hey, not all black people look alike. You know what I'm saying? Like, what's wrong with y'all?
Starting point is 00:30:19 I'll just play. All right, my fault. Tyler, the creator, came at number one as far as for a chromocopia under Columbia, which is under Sony Music Entertainment. So shout out to Tyler for putting off a hip-hop. And shout out to Uzi. You know what I mean? Even though Eterno Take 2 was a flop,
Starting point is 00:30:35 you still managed to get the third most play album in the world. So that means said, let's switch gears into singular tracks. And now, okay, now I can start praising Shibuzi once more. As a bar song, been on the charts for about 29 weeks and it's only
Starting point is 00:30:54 dipped to number two. As Shibuzi, once again, has the most popular track in the world with a bar song in parentheses tipsy, of course. So shout out to Shibuzzi. Just undeniable that this was his year. He ran the year with this track, and this
Starting point is 00:31:10 is definitely song of the year. in my opinion. With that being said, God with a smile comes in at number two. Bruno Mars just can't seem to have enough success every single time this man drops. As he also has another track titled, it's titled APT, I believe.
Starting point is 00:31:27 And honestly, that track, it's not my cup of tea, but as far as Rosie, who is a K-pop artist, K-pop musician, and Bruno Mars, APT, I can't pronounce that.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I don't know. You have to listen to the song to hear the way they pronounce it. But anyways, that track is also doing phenomenal. But as far as Die Wood a Smile that was released 11 weeks ago with Lady Gaga, that still is the second most place song in the world. So Bruno Mars is out here eating. I mean, this man is just a hit maker. I mean, obviously the decade-plus long career of Bruno Mars should have already told you that.
Starting point is 00:32:09 But he's still to this day putting out chart-topping hits. So anyways, third most played song in the world is Burrs of a Feather by Billy Elish that's been on their charts for about 24 weeks. And number four, the fourth most played track in the world is, of course, Expresso by the one and only Sabrina Carpenter. That track, just like a bar song, has had significant and very incredible hold. It's had an incredible hold on the charts And not even the charts the top five As it's only dipped to number five In 29 weeks
Starting point is 00:32:47 But it's currently the fourth most played track in the world Then we have the fifth most play track in the world With I had some help by Post Malone And Morgan Wallin With this track being on the charts For about 25 weeks And it only dip into number six But it's currently the fifth most played track in the world
Starting point is 00:33:03 So of course the roundoff music And our singular track talk Number five, as far as the most played track in the world, we have, I Had Some Help by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. The fourth most consumed track in the world, espresso by Sabrina Carpenter. The third most consumed track in the world, Burys of a Feather by Billy Iles. And then number two, we have Die with a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. And then, of course, number one, which is getting back into my soliloquy. the praises that needs to be had for this man for putting out this classic is undeniable because
Starting point is 00:33:46 effectively getting into the country crowd is one thing but then to also have hip-hop elements to the point where you have big X the plug which is an up-and-coming rapper he's pretty solid on your track and to me that's my favorite track off of the album but then to also have other country-centric tracks and it all flows in cohesion and one body of work that we've never seen combined this effectively. I know people are going to talk about Cowboy Carter, but over time, Shibuzi's where I've been isn't where I'm going is a much better album than Cowboy Carter. And I still hold that album to a high standard.
Starting point is 00:34:27 So that's probably in my top five as well. So both of those albums are phenomenal. I just think Shibuzzi put out an undeniable class. So with that being said, let's switch gears into the gaming realm and of course we're going to start with Steam as With Steam most of the games are usually consistent as far as chart-toppers. I mean we have CounterStrike 2 still being at number one as far as the most consumed video game on the Steam platform with 586,000 players concurrent as far as currently playing the game. They have 586,000 and That is insane with a 24 hour peak of 1.4 million.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Like the type of hold that Counter Strike 2 has, people can attribute that to the e-sports, but you have to have a very polished and an amazing like gameplay loop for people to consistently play this game at the rate that they play it. So anyways, then we have banana. I'm not going to lie to you. I've never covered banana. I've seen Banana consistently chart topping the steam list. I have to get into that game because, like, what is Banana?
Starting point is 00:35:43 Like, it's called Banana. When I've seen, like, screenshots of it, I don't understand what's the intrigue. I'm not kind of, I'm not, like, trying to sound like a hater. I just, I just don't understand. I don't understand what makes 332,000 people play Banana at the same time. Like, maybe I'm out of the loop. Obviously, I'm out of touch because it's been at the top for a while. So anyways, with a 24-hour peak of 490s.
Starting point is 00:36:05 thousand people concurrently playing this game then we have Dota 2 with 292,000 people currently playing that game with a 24-hour peak of 797,000 so that is the third most played game on the Steam platform and of course number four the OG well the OG is take technically H1Z1 but the what do they say it in Star Wars terms the OG, but the Padawan that turned into the OG, that is PubG Battlegrounds, as that is the fourth most played game on Steam with 235,000 people concurrently playing that game with a 24-hour peak of 755,000. Then, of course, the chart topping the mammoth in the video game, Ecosphere, Call of Duty, as BlackOps 6 currently is the fifth most played game, on steam as it has 166,000 people concurrently playing the game with a 24-hour peak of 263,000 players. So of course, to round up the top five video games on Steam, we have Call of Duty Black
Starting point is 00:37:25 Off 6 at number 5, PubG Battlegrounds at number 4, Dota 2 at number 3, Banana, which That's still to this day, leaves me flabbergasted. Anyways, banana at number two. And of course, the most dominant game on Steam, Counter Strike 2, coming in at the most impactful game on the Steam platform. So that being said, let's switch gears into the Xbox gamers, as when it comes to Xbox not having no games, it still doesn't stop them from playing the same ones over and over and over.
Starting point is 00:38:08 So with that being said, of course, Call the Duty takes up two slots and the top five games on Xbox. I don't even know how that's possible. Actually, it takes up three slots. One, two, three slots in the top six. It takes up three slots in the top six. Now, I don't know how that's possible. But of course, whenever you have different additions being sold as a singular game, I guess that's how that happens. As you have the cross-jam bundle, the Vault Edition upgrade, and then you have the Vault Edition.
Starting point is 00:38:36 but what's the difference between vault addition oh okay so they have vault addition and then vault addition upgrade what what's the difference obviously is upgrade but i'm just i'm just being facetious uh anyways so caller duty took up two slots dragon age the veilgard is the second most play technically the second most played game on the xbox platform death stranding the director's cut what many people come back to death stranding that's very interesting it's a third most play game on xbox of course of course course people love to ball till they fall so 2k 25 is the fourth most play game on the steam platform and of course i click some wrong okay and then the fifth most play game on that platform is madden 25 so of course sports games FPS continues to dominate the console charts when it comes to
Starting point is 00:39:26 bestsellers and this is no different as the top five to round up the Xbox games Madden 25 is the fifth most played game on the Xbox platform. 2K25 is the fourth most play game. Death Stranding, the director's cut, is the third most play game. Dragon, Age, the Vailguard is the second most play game. And of course, Call of Duty, Black Op 6 is by far and away the most played game on the Xbox platform. We should come as no surprise to anybody. Anyways, switching gears.
Starting point is 00:40:02 and get into the Sony ponies as I do have a PlayStation 5 myself but I don't consider myself a Sony pony so there you have it anyways the top five games on the platform of PlayStation interestingly fortnight was nowhere to be found on the Xbox bestsellers but it's number two on PlayStation which that's why I love going over these charts I love to see the different demographics on different consoles so anyways call of duty of course comes in once again and number one as far as the most play video game on the PlayStation platform. You have Fortnite, which is the second most play game. And I've been seeing all type of updates as far as Fortnite skins.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Apparently, they put shoes into the game. So now you can blow your money on Jordans and not know and then act like you don't know how you can't afford groceries. You know what I mean? So if you want to do that, you can. As far as Ice Spice, Little Uzi Ver, I believe they are getting their own skin in the game. I mean, it's just turning into Minecraft. No, actually, it's turning into Roblox at this point.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Because I think Ice Spice had her own island on Roblox. Don't ask me how she got it. Somehow she has her own island on Roblox. But anyways, Fortnite, second most played game on a PlayStation platform. Then you have NBA 2K-25 because, of course, people love the ball today fall. So that's the third most played game on a PlayStation platform. Then you have EA Sports FC25, which if you look,
Starting point is 00:41:29 up EA Sports analytic dreams that will definitely pop up as I reviewed this game as far as the sales and review Roundup and gave some insight into how the game is performing. That's the fourth most play game on the PlayStation platform and then of course the round off the top five EA Sports college football 25 is the fifth most play game on the PlayStation platform. So of course the round up the PlayStation top five video games currently affecting the masses we have EA sports college football 25 at number five EA sports FC25 and number four
Starting point is 00:42:03 NBA 2K 25 and number three Fortnite at number two and of course the mammoth in the video game history that has consistently been the most played game time and time again only only Hogwarts legacy was the only game in the last
Starting point is 00:42:24 67 years to top call of duty as far as the most sale as far as the um the most sold game in the year so last year hoggwards legacy outsold call of duty which was a significant accomplishment we never would have thought a single player would ever outsell a multiplayer like call of duty like obviously single players outsell multi players all the time but call of duty is different so for hoggworth's legacy to take that title away from Call of Duty, even if it was just for 2024, still a significant accomplishment. But for 2025, for 2024, Call of Duty is once again on top as far as the best selling game on PlayStation and the Xbox platform.
Starting point is 00:43:15 So with that being said, of course, I told you I wasn't going to forget about my mobile gamers out there. So of course, we're going to get into the top five mobile games as Marvel content. of champions. Now, I love me some Marvel. So guess what I'm going to do? First time ever, I'm going to have a mobile game review and sales roundup because I told you I was going to try to get more into the mobile landscape because this is notorious mass effect. So how can we talk about the notorious mass effect of video games without getting into the mobile ecosystem? So I want to talk about Marvel Contest Champions. We're going to talk about overall sales, current perception,
Starting point is 00:43:51 current updates of the game. we're just going to get into it because of course with me being a marvel fan it would make it easier for me to talk about this game to start off my run of mobile game reviews because best believe me whenever call duty black ops six which i don't know if it has already so let me know you know click my link to my bio and message me on one of my social media's if it already has or has happened but whenever black hop six mobile comes comes out i'm hopping on my pc I'm downloading whatever I need to download to get that mobile game on my monitor and I'm plugging my controller in and y'all can't say nothing to it. Y'all can't say nothing to me that's going to make me stop. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:44:33 If people can cheat in real-life console games and I can plug my controller up to play a mobile game. How about that? So anyways, that's the most played mobile game on the mobile platforms. So anyways, Warhammer 40,000 tactitious. That's the second most played. mobile game the ants this is the type of games y'all playing
Starting point is 00:44:55 actually it says sponsored I don't even know if that's how it works we're gonna skip that because it says sponsored so I'm guessing that's not in this list that's weird whatever okay so for actually number three as squadbusters is the third most play mobile game
Starting point is 00:45:11 then you have mobile legends bang bang is the fourth most play mobile game and of course the infamous the iconic Pokemon franchise has the fifth slide as far as the fifth most played mobile game in the world with of course you guessed it Pokemon Go so of course the round off the top five of the top mobile games that's currently affecting the masses we have Pokemon Go mobile legends bang bang squadbusters Warhammer 40,000 tactitious and Marvel contest of champions at number one so that being said let's get into
Starting point is 00:45:51 The episode, now that we've covered the biggest impact when it comes to musically and when it comes to the video game realm, trying to figure out what was the first topic. Oh, okay. I don't know how I forgot that. But anyways, I forgot that quick. That's how you know. I'm getting old. I'll just plan. So anyways, now we're about to get into the 2025 Grammy nominations.
Starting point is 00:46:17 But of course, before we start off the notorious Mass Effect episode 143, which is titled, From Nashville to the Grammys. before we get into that, make sure to click my link tree in my bio to access my social medias and follow to keep up my latest activities. And if you want to support the show financially, click my cash app link located towards the bottom of my link tree as it helps to show overall. Also, make sure to share this podcast rating the show five stars as this helps to show reach more people so we can grow together and affect the masses. Now let's get into the first segment, which is me covering the 2025 Grammy nominations. The time is now here as far as the people coming together to watch one of, if not the, greatest award show when it comes to recognizing our musicians. Because of course, me personally, I think the Billboard Awards is,
Starting point is 00:47:29 more of a litmus scale for who ran 2024. Because if you don't know, as far as the Grammys, which the 67th Grammy Award show will take place one day after my birthday, fun fact, February 2nd, 2025. And ultimately, the people who vote on the Grammys is members of the Recording Academy, which consists of music professionals, like performers, songwriters, producers, and engineers.
Starting point is 00:48:04 So essentially, it's your peers who come together and vote for who should win what award, you know? So there's a lot of interesting dynamics when it comes to that. Because of course, relationships, as far as wanting to keep them, or as far as wanting to destroy, them as far as showcasing your power in certain instances comes into effect when certain people win a Grammy. So I'm not going to hate on some of the nominations, but I will point out that if it was more objective,
Starting point is 00:48:48 a lot of these names would be completely gone from the list. That's all I want to say. As far as certain albums making certain list as far as album of the year, song of the year, I think the Billboard Awards, which is solely objective, you know, and goes off of album sales, digital, digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, and social media metrics, which is why it's my favorite award show, because objectively speaking, there's no way to skew who's going to win what award. Throughout the year, they look at the numbers and they give it to the highest performer. So that's what I prefer because when it comes to subjective lane, a lot of things are up for
Starting point is 00:49:36 interpretation and then you get to recognize a lot of politics or play, I mean in life in general, but more so when you have your peers coming together to vote for these awards. So other than objective metrics and just looking at who dominated analytically is more of a quote unquote quality level of subject metric as when Killer Mike won, I think it was best rap album, when Travis Scott was nominated for Utopia, I think that's the prime example of exactly what I'm talking about. Because of course, I call myself analytic dreams on this podcast, which the overall podcast is titled, Notorious Mass Effect. So you should already know based off those two names that I love to focus on the analytics and the data. But honestly, I've started to reiterate this sentiment as far as getting
Starting point is 00:50:35 people to understand that just because you make great quality music does not mean you're going to have great sales. A prime example is Big Sean Corday and this is more of a hot topic because some people are hot and cold on her, but lotto. Those three particular artists, I think, is victim to making good to great quality music and not selling as much that you would think they deserve. So that's why I always say when I go over numbers, it's not simply outselling or the chart toppers that makes it the best music ever created. It's basically something I use to provide a litmus scale for the amount of, for the amount of anticipation these superstars can build up competing against one another because we're all competing for somebody's time right the people who's watching this right now you know shout out to analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio version i can't even talk and then of course sign up to my patreon to get the unedited and ad-free version of this episode but essentially i'm vying for your time and everybody else is also going to
Starting point is 00:51:54 going against each other to try to get a listen, a download, watch time, all type of metrics are being competed for. So when that's a competition, just because you outsell somebody does not mean you make higher quality content. It just basically means the anticipation that you can build up on an objective scale as far as analytics is higher than your peers. that's really the only reason I go over numbers because when people talk about oh something sold 20,000 first week saw a flop and so it's trash I'm like how does that correlate I mean flop is one thing trash I'm like that's totally subjective big shine even though I called his album a NyQuil album I can still recognize the top tier lyricism even though it seemed like he was performing in his bed but you know overall the lyrics is at a certain level to where just because he sold what 20 some thousand first week does not mean that the quality level is below average.
Starting point is 00:52:58 It just means that the anticipation level is not what it once was. So now, objectively speaking, analytically speaking, he is not the same level of impact as a musician that he used to be when he put out his classic dark skies paradise. So I just had to clarify that because a lot of people get it confused when I go over numbers and they think I'm, comparing it to quality when that's just never the case so anyways speaking on quality the 67th grammy award show will take place February 2nd 2025 and of course doing my due diligence I have the
Starting point is 00:53:38 58 page document up on the screen right now for everybody to read along with me and don't worry we're not going to spend too much time on this 58 page document because obviously i know how to go through it and basically i'm gonna give my predictions and what in who i'm I think is going to win simply off of politics because if it was the Billboard Award show, we will already know who's going to win, right? I mean, this is solely objective when it comes to the Grammys. So as far as who's going to win, it's more politics and behind the scenes campaigning that a lot of people, as far as the average fan are unaware of. So that's what I'm here for. So anyways, let's get into it. The Recording Academy did introduce
Starting point is 00:54:24 94 categories as far as marking the Grammys as the award show with the most categories. And of course, as far as totality, women artists really showed out this year. I kept saying it time and time again because I remember when Joe Budden came out and ignorantly said that the women rappers have fallen off, which just ultimately told me that he just does not listen to the music landscape at all. which is why he's out here promoting a lot of TD artists, because he's just completely oblivious to what's the actual music landscape. Because once again, relationships, wanting to get certain interviews with certain high,
Starting point is 00:55:10 top tier people who may or may not just put out like the biggest rap song ever, even though he said he doesn't want to, but he's interviewing and promoting every TD artist. I wonder why. So anyways, um, even though Kendrick's not under TD, but Kendricks also,
Starting point is 00:55:25 close ties with a top dog which is why he posted a dosi's album for anybody trying to say like kensrick's not part of td but technically family ties is always going to be there i mean did y'all even listen to the album down you know so anyways um that being said the music landscape is something i've been paying attention to to a point where i think the analysis i have over the entire list is probably above average compared to most hip-hop heads because of the seven genres that I've talked about as far as extensively and a lot of different musicians. So of course, with that being said, I've been saying that women artists was putting on for hip hop. If it wasn't for Kanye going number one as an independent artist with Voltures 1 and
Starting point is 00:56:12 the Voltron team coming together to go at Drake, we would have been talking about Glorilla. We would have been talking about Sexy Red for the entire year. I mean, there was a stat out where sexy red had the same amount of chart topping songs as drake so just to put that in perspective sexy red and glorilla currently really have been pushing the genre forward to a point where i don't think they're getting their due diligence and i don't know why but you know people love to overlook glorilla and sexy red as far as their impact on 2024 when it comes to the hip-hop numbers as currently glorilla's album glorious that came out let me see this album came out so as far as october 11th 2024 glorious came out and this november 12th so a month and of course plus a day after
Starting point is 00:57:13 this album is still the 11th most played album in the world so with that type of longevity obviously that is why i'm giving her so much respect when it comes to her impact on hip hop in general and is why i'm so glad that she actually received a grammy nomination because she's well deserving of it and i'm not sure if sexy red had one obviously going to get into the list in a second this is going to be extensive segment we're going over to grambies it's not just some random award show so of course get your popcorn you know make your meal or however you love to consume uh long form content we're going to be diving deep into this because this is essentially the big dogs of the music industry competing against one another behind the scenes of course because
Starting point is 00:58:00 you have to campaign if you don't submit they're not going to put you up for for an award which is why drake which is why the weekend we're not getting any nominations for their music because they don't submit only time you will see them is if they're attached to a song because that artist submitted the track but yeah you still have to submit your songs no matter how big you are for the grammies so with that being said of course i think i was looking at let me see yeah I think I had the whole list right here okay so
Starting point is 00:58:32 sexy red currently has the 10th oh okay so this is Tyler the creators track title sticky with of course glowrilla sexy red and little way talking about the Avengers right so I think she also has another track yeah what you know about me with you guessed it
Starting point is 00:58:50 glowrilla it's the 30th most play song on the in the world right now and it's been on a chart for about four weeks so when I talk about women rappers putting up numbers in 2024 that technically are male counterparts, you know, aside from the top tier, like Kendrick Drake, they're out of here. As far as the modern day rappers, the savages, the Uzzies of the world, consistently being on the charts, Glorilla and Sexy Red has been leading the modern day pack as far as rappers. I mean, unless you don't want
Starting point is 00:59:21 to count Tommy Richman, y'all want him, right? Of course not. So as far as rap, actually, you know, rappers um glowrilla and sexy red been leading the pack for hip hop so anyways um with that being said let's get back into the grammy's when it comes to the 94 categories marking it the award show with the most categories in the women having majority of the success with the domination of categories like record of the year album of the year best pop solo performance best r and b performance best american or best americana excuse me best americana performance and then best folk album and best latin pop album and of course more specifically the one the one and only queen b has 11 nominations reaching 99 career nominations the most of any artist of all time ladies and gentlemen i don't know if we ever see that again
Starting point is 01:00:29 I talk about Drake's success all the time analytically, but what Beyonce has managed to do as far as public perception, as far as her perception from her peers, I don't know what it is, but she is ultimately one of the most beloved artists of all time. Maybe the most like musician of all time. I mean, her sister gave Jay-Z a 40-hit combo like it was off a streetfighter, and they still was like, you know what, he probably deserved it, because Beyonce was just right there letting her get off her combo like she was in practice mode, right? So anyways, Beyonce is the most like artists of all time. I'm comfortable saying that because even other musicians that have had success, like a Beyonce, has went through a lot of turmoil as far as,
Starting point is 01:01:21 as let's just say behind the scenes right we don't have to get into michael jackson you know rest in peace to the dead but y'all know what type of uh allegations they threw that man's way after he passed away so as far as bianca being this top tier and still being generally liked from appears in the public is for for this long is insane another artist that we could get into as far as having the same sentiments towards that particular artist's Taylor Swift because of course that's the biggest gangster in the industry. I mean, who else was going to bring Universal Music Group back to TikTok? I mean, Taylor Swift basically told them if they don't come to some sort of agreement with TikTok,
Starting point is 01:02:06 then she was going to weaponize her fan base just like she did against Scooter Braun. Because if you think that UMG artist was not hurting, obviously it wasn't too, for the top tier artists, it wasn't too crazy but definitely for mid-tier to independent well not independent but for up-and-coming acts under universal music group ticot being taken away as a marketing tool was definitely hurting so when taylor swift stepped to UMG which is like reports behind the scenes on how they even came up to a middle ground during negotiations because uh taylor swift basically pulled you know a stunt like that as far as her always being on the side of the creator. So Taylor Swift is always going to be on the positive side of reception,
Starting point is 01:02:55 a positive side of perception. And hopefully that stays the case. But you never know because, of course, the amount of Chiefs games she goes to, I mean, you just never know when those Chiefs are going to turn on you as far as a fan base. But, hey, that's another story for another day. So anyways, as I said, Beyonce leaves with 11 nominations, 99 career nominations the most of any artist and then also she holds 32 Grammy wins the highest
Starting point is 01:03:25 ever so that speaks for itself Taylor Swift has her fourth consecutive album of the album of the year nomination for the tortured poet's department which is a phenomenal name by the and it's and it's the first woman with seven total nominations in the category So with that being said, of course, the major nominations is about to get into in the second. Actually, major nominations is about to get into right now. So anyways, so now we can turn our attention to the 58-page document that I swear is less intimidating that it looks because, of course, your boy dreams is here to simplify and break it down for y'all. So when, hold up, one second. i flip this right quick i think i flipped it okay cool all right so let's get into let me see yeah
Starting point is 01:04:26 let's get into the first category which is record of the year actually should we start with that let's just work our way up you know what let's go all the way down let's start at 58 this is how y'all be acting in uh college uh classes let's just start from the bottom and go up right just forget uh what you what you learn we use the little kid all right so starting for 58 going to number one of course we start with classical everybody's favorite genre am i right so anyways um if i don't know anything about the category i'm gonna skip it so with that being said let's just skip this right quick so classical i don't know when none of these categories mean classical you know hey god be with them you know sorry for your loss or you know uh what they say
Starting point is 01:05:15 congratulations sorry for your loss i ain't reading all that so let's just uh keep going uh production engineering do i know any no wait is that willow that willow stop making music anyways um i don't know if this is actually willows let me make sure and i do have my handy dandy uh search engine because of course i do my due diligence over here can't be spreading um false information so the entry willow big feelings uh oh willow smith oh willow smith But okay, that's interesting. I did not know that Willow was still putting out music, but hey, shout out to the Smiths for still making history. I mean, when I tell you all that Will Smith's book, Will is one of the greatest books I've ever read.
Starting point is 01:06:02 I think people underestimate the highest achiever ever on planet Earth. Now, like, that's a little exaggeration. But he's up there. Top 20, top 10, as far as an entertainer, obviously somebody going to be. bringing up somebody who invented the light bulb and houses and stuff. I'm talking about entertainment. Top tier achiever of all time. I mean, the amount of achievements this man has under his belt,
Starting point is 01:06:33 I would feel so disrespectful if I was Will Smith coming back to rap and they was talking to me the way they do. I mean, come on now. Like, as far as being the first rapper ever to win a Grammy and then go on into a whole another career that's so successful that makes people forget that you did that. I mean, come on now. The disrespect to Will Smith, when it comes to hip hop, which is where his roots lie, if you read the book, I had no idea it was so heavily infused into Will Smith as far as
Starting point is 01:06:59 his hip-hop elements and his roots. So, anyways, that's just a side tangent. But shout out to Willow, right? Another one of Will Smith's, you know, greatest creations as far as achieving on this earth. With that being said, I don't let Jada know I gave him those compliments, right? She attacked me or something. You know what I mean? Try to embody Tupac herself.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Anyways, production, engineering, composition, and arrangement. I don't know any of these. So we're going to skip that. Production engineering. Don't know that. We're going to keep going. Production.
Starting point is 01:07:36 I mean, if I don't see Parks from the Joe Bunning podcast, I'm not trying to see it. You know what I'm saying? Shout out to Parks. Packages, notes, and historical. Nope. Children's comedy. A's at Rocky? What in the world? What is this?
Starting point is 01:07:52 A set Rocky has a... Oh, best music video. I'm tripping. It's just the category. Best recording package. Okay, so that makes more sense. You know, if I can actually read, you know, that would be helpful. All right, so this is the first one where I actually know a little bit of. Okay. So let's start with best... Wait, actually the best music film. I don't even know what that is. I don't see the idol on here, even though the idol probably, uh, if you don't know, for the Grammys um i do believe that as far as submitting it's um actually it said at the top let me just do this right quick and go all the way to the top uh okay so these are for recordings released
Starting point is 01:08:38 during the eligibility year september 16th 2023 through august 30th 2024 so when people get confused on certain tracks or albums didn't make the list. That is why because the eligibility period is for September 16th, 2023 through August 30th, 2024. Now, usually it's during October 1st of the previous year through September 30th. But they changed it for the 67th Grammy Award show. So that's why some people a little confused on why certain albums or tracks didn't make the nominations, which we're going to get to in the second because one of the albums did come out in this time span. And y'all going to stop disrespecting there. That's why I talk about the billboard and things of that nature because obviously high sales
Starting point is 01:09:35 does not mean it was amazing quality. But I guess I get to it now. The disrespect to Nicky Minaj has to stop. I mean, Nicky Minaj is one of the greatest hip-hop musicians of all time. and for her to never win a Grammy is the equivalent to win Leonardo DiCaprio took forever to win an Oscar. I don't even know if he, I think he won an Oscar for like the Bear movie or whatever, but all of the classic material that Leonardo DiCaprio was in and he never had to win. This is more e this is more egregious because Nikki, let me see, um, Nikki, as far as
Starting point is 01:10:20 as Grammy nominations as not even nominated and the album Pink Friday 2 I'm on record saying that was my favorite album of last year not two not three not four not five that was my favorite album of last year the versatility was beyond on display as far as what Nikki was doing as a musician so this came out December 8th 2023 that falls in line as far as the eligibility and of course people want to say she didn't submit but I think somebody on her team did end up submitting for Pink Friday too obviously I'm not gonna fact check that because I'm pretty sure that they submitted or else the beehive wouldn't be up in arms because I think they submitted everybody FTCU and then um obviously pink Friday two for
Starting point is 01:11:15 album of the year everybody FTCU I've already said that and then there's another one uh there's another one i forget let me just look at the track list i can remember and then it was r and b for best melodic track that because just from memory i remember seeing somebody from a team posting it because all you need is one person from your team to submit it for the grambies it doesn't have to be the actual artist page you can have your team submitted right so anyways um nika minage and the grammies have some undisclosed beef that we've never we haven't heard the truth of why they hate on Nikki so obviously, right? The amount of obvious hate, blatant hate, plain as they hate when it comes to
Starting point is 01:12:03 Nikki not receiving any nominations is insane after she just put out what I think is her best album of all time. Obviously, the barbs are going to come after me, but I do think Pink Friday, too, is up there as far as Nikki's best album of all time. So with that means, because from start to finish, I don't even like, compliment germain like this but that's probably one of his better verses ever in his career that he put on that album and um that's just one track i mean don't get me started on rnb um f tcc u just the bars on red ruby the slees like and then the super freaky girl that obviously
Starting point is 01:12:44 was a hit last year a longstanding hit like i just don't understand and a lot of people was like oh, 2023, she should have had nominations. Well, my brother, this album came out December 8th, 2023. So no, it shouldn't have. That's not how it works. It would have been for the 2024 Grammy Award show. And now with the 2025, with the 67th annual Grammy Award show saying that it's September 16, 2023 to August 30th, 2024, the Grammy Award show won't happen to February 2nd.
Starting point is 01:13:21 2025 so it's for the 2025 Grammy Award show not the 2023 I know some of y'all confused but it's okay just rewind and then play it again but anyways Nikki has been nominated in the past like the my chick bad
Starting point is 01:13:38 when she featured on ludicris's track of course back in 2011 but this is a huge discussion that's never really been deeply had by the higher ups and by higher ups, I mean the people who was actually voting. Like, why is Nikki getting just outcasted and blackballed from Grammy nominations?
Starting point is 01:13:58 Like, who? Because obviously, she made somebody upset. Who did she make upset when it comes to people coming together to vote for who wins these awards or even get nominated? I mean, we're not asking for too much. A nomination, we're talking about Nikki Minaj. She can't get a nomination for Pink Friday, too. Like, let's be actually serious. Like, Nikki is probably the most disrespected artist of all time when it comes to the Grammys.
Starting point is 01:14:29 So I think that correlates with some other things, but I'm not going to get too deep into that because I'm not, you know, I don't want to get too, you know, deep on y'all. But let's just say, Nikki and her origins and the way she looks and her being a female. there's just some real discussions that needs to be had. Like how, there's only so much hate you can harbor in your heart, my brother, from one individual to not give her Grammy nominations time and time and time and time again. Like, when is enough enough? Because if this was you,
Starting point is 01:15:12 they had the same accomplishments as Nikki Minaj, it was not ever even recognized for the Grammys, you would be upset. Despite having hits like Super Freaky Girl, which topped the Billboard, Hot 100, there's nowhere to be found when artists like, I'm not even going to pit two women against each other. I'm not even going to do that.
Starting point is 01:15:34 But y'all know the artists that they've been nominating in this upcoming Grammy Award show do not have nearly the amount of accomplishments that Nikki had on Pink Friday, too. But somehow they found their way on a rap category. Anyways, it's a real discussion to be had, but I ain't going to have it right now. I just wanted to shout out, Nikki, because I don't know how you do it. Like, that's just, I mean, I think she announced like a deluxe edition for Pink Friday, too, but I would be, I would be beyond irate. Like, the amount of animosity and the ultimate just fury I would have, I think would be uncontrollable, especially accomplishing as much as Nikki did with Pink Friday, too. Anyways, which came out in this eligibility period, by the way, for the people trying to say, oh, it's not eligible.
Starting point is 01:16:25 and her one of our team actually let me see because people try to let me pull this up Nikki submits Grammy I don't know if that I'll pull it up I think it should pull it up okay so Nikki Minaj is 2024 Grammy submissions Barbie World record of the year song of the year best rap song right you look at the numbers of Barbie World is not out of the realm obviously record of the year is kind of a stretch song of the year but best rap song of the year but best rap I can see it being on there. Last time I saw you, best melodic rap performance, song of the year. Both of those make sense.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Red Ruby the Sleeves, best rap performance easily. Best rap song easily, right? Then you have other tracks that she's submitted. Let's see. Okay, let me just pull up the list because, all right. So look at this list right here. For the people saying that she didn't submit, this is the entire list of what she submitted. analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio so this is what nicky um
Starting point is 01:17:33 submitted for the grammies f tc ue you everybody and the mom was playing that y'all remember when she went on kai samat stream and they was playing f tc u and everybody was going crazy right and then speaking of the word i kept using everybody featuring little uzi verk um was also submitted let me calm down featuring j cole was submitted for best rap performance because i keep telling you y'all it's probably one of germain's best verses of all time as far as a rapper in his career obviously i call him the most overrated rapper of all time so his fan base probably don't care for that compliment but hey you get it when you can right so anyways uh rnb featuring low wayne and take cobane best melodic rap performance pink friday two album of the year best rap album best engineer album i think all of those
Starting point is 01:18:21 are fair, especially the amount of prestige that Pink Friday 2 now has combined with the quality level and success, because not only was a high top tier quality, but also had chart topping sales, especially with FTCU, with everybody. I think those are the two big ones. So she had hits off her album, multiple. The album was long lasting. She went on a record-breaking tour, and guess what? no Grammy nominations for the 67th Grammy Award show to show for it. So that's all I'm like, whoever has hatred in their heart for Nicki Minaj, unless she did something egregious, you're just going to let it go. Because obviously it's not that egregious because y'all still won't tell us why she's not
Starting point is 01:19:06 nominated. Every time people bring it up, they just say, oh, she's washed. So, all right, let me get off my soapbox. That's enough of that. But hey, I was like, bro, that is like insane. That is actually insane. That's like, all right, last comparison for all my hoopers, that's like putting up 30, 10, and 10, right? And then an all-star, not even like the MVP, the all-star game come around and you're not even on the team.
Starting point is 01:19:31 Like, come on now. Like, what are we doing? You know what I'm saying? Like, hold up now. Who's voting for this? Anyways, all right, now I'm going to get off my soapbox. Best music video. Taylor Swift by ASEB Rocky, 360 by Charlie X-XX, Q,
Starting point is 01:19:48 Houdini by Eminem Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, that is insane. Fortnite by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone. Now, seeing that not like us is a pedophile anthem, I'm not going to have the greatest sentiment towards the strike. But when it comes to best rap performance, I'll probably, you know, speak more highly on it. But as far as the music video, y'all let me know what was so unique about that, right? So anyways, as far as my prediction, I think it should go to Houdini by M&M. I think the overall premise was executed perfectly.
Starting point is 01:20:18 And on top of that, that album is probably one of the better albums of 2024 when it comes to hip hop. So I would give this to Houdini. Of course, politic-wise, I'm not to give my answer as far as who I think would win on a politics level. And AXab Rocky's video was pretty unique. I'm not going to lie, if you watch Taylor Swift, it was some insane things happening at random points that you never just knew you never knew what the next scene would entail and i think that was a testament to the creative vision as i said have for that but as far as my personal prediction i'm going with houdini by m&m for best music video actually forget all that i'm going for ice ice let me chill
Starting point is 01:21:05 what was ice spice the i'm the i'm the fart i'm the poop what type of music that that she be labeled i don't even y'all like that man y'all like that but but that That's why I said best music video, you know, anyways. Best song written for visual media. Ain't No Love in Oklahoma. Where it's from Twisters. I think that's like a hurricane movie, right? No, a tornado movie.
Starting point is 01:21:31 Is that the same thing? That's not the same thing. That's how you know I'm ignorant. I think hurricanes like with water, right? I probably sound so ignorant right now. Y'all have to excuse my ignorant. All right. That's how you know I don't live in Florida.
Starting point is 01:21:43 You know, I'm not trying to get too deep on that. better place of from trolls can't catch me now from the hunger games what in the world the hunger games when that come out and i thought that been out the hunger games the ballad of what this is all this is this is the extra book they put out because if you don't know actually you know enjoyed the hunger games series before it was even a movie i read all the books and then the movie came out and i was like this don't look like anything i pictured in my head y'all y'all ever have the epiphany for the people who read out there for the people who don't read this conversation is not for you but when you're reading and then you finish the book and you watch the movie and it looks completely
Starting point is 01:22:25 different than what you pictured in your head like obviously when you're reading it you make your own fairy tale in your head as far as how certain characters look based on descriptions and then you get to the movie and it's just completely different i don't know how y'all feel about that but that always irritates me. I don't know anything about the ballets of songbirds, but, you know, hey, shout out to them for having a nomination, right? Can't catch me now. Um, that's the same thing I just said. Um, it never went away from American symphony. Love will survive from the tattooist of Auschwitz. I think that's how you said. I'm not going to lie. I'm just going, I'm just going, there ain't no love in Oklahoma. That's what I'm going for, but simply off the fact that I saw Twisters. That's it. That's my logic.
Starting point is 01:23:11 So anyways, best score soundtrack for video games. Hold up now. That's what this part is about. I'll just fly. Let me show. All right. In other interactive media. Avatar Frontiers of Pandor.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Well, at least they got some type of recognition from a war show because it, hey, it for sure was not going to be the game awards. Let me just tell you that right now. Hey, what Dylan from RDC World say? We're going to play this game off stream. But anyways, God of War, Ragnarok. Valhalla, Marvel Spider-Man 2, Star Wars, Outlaws, wizardry, proving grounds of the Mad Overlord.
Starting point is 01:23:59 I don't know what that is. So that's the first time I've seen a game nominated that had no clue what it was. So we're just going to look at that right quick. Because I was like, what in the world is that? Wizards, the Wizards of Waverly Place, Alex Russo and stuff. So, so Winnie Fred, Philip.
Starting point is 01:24:21 was the music composer and now I don't care it's just, it's too much boring information that's popping up. I ain't gonna lie. Shout out to them for being nominated, but we don't care. So as far as the soundtrack, I'm surprised to see Avatar, definitely surprised to see Avatar,
Starting point is 01:24:46 surprised to see Marvel Spider-Man 2, and outside of that, I have to go with God of War of Ragnaract by Hala. I think everything else is probably, you know, Star Wars, always has pretty solid soundtracks. I mean, it's Star Wars. People get up for Star Wars as far as making the soundtrack for it.
Starting point is 01:25:03 So, yeah, I'll probably say God of War of Wagner Rock will win this category. And for those who don't know, when it comes to the Grammys, they don't televise all of these awards. So hopefully, you know, you already know that. But for those who don't, they don't televise all of these awards, which is why you're probably like, I didn't even know they had that. It's because they do it off-screen. They give you the award off-screen, which, technically, Basically, a Grammy's a Grammy.
Starting point is 01:25:28 So I wouldn't be mad if it's off screen before the show, after the show. If I get a Grammy, I have a Grammy. And I can post about it. How about that? I got social media. I can hit the post button. So, you know, all of these awards and all of these categories aren't televised. So now you know.
Starting point is 01:25:48 So yeah, I'm going with God of War, Ragnarok for Best Score soundtrack for video game. All right. Best Score soundtrack for visual media. Not too familiar with that. So we're just going to skip that. Best compilation soundtrack. The only movie I saw out of this was Deadpool and Wolverine. So does that take my black card?
Starting point is 01:26:09 I haven't seen the color purple. I'm sorry, y'all. I just haven't made time to go see the color purple. I think I saw the original, but I haven't seen the up-to-date one. But, yeah. So best audiobook. I don't know any of these people. I do know Dolly Parton.
Starting point is 01:26:26 You know what's funny? I know Dolly Parton from Hannah Montana. I don't know if that's such a like a random fun fact, but now y'all know, right? I don't know what you're going to do with that information, but now you have it, right? It's ingrained into your brain that I only know, but not only, I was introduced to Dolly Parton from the Hannah Montana show. All right. Let's keep going. So now we have children's comedy, audiobooks, visual media, and music slash film.
Starting point is 01:26:54 I don't know why. I read that off because I don't, like, what type of input I'm going to put on this category? Like, Dave Chappelle's great, Trevor Noah's great as a comedian. Like, I don't even know. I haven't even listened to the comedy album. Oh, it is a comedy. I'm tripping.
Starting point is 01:27:11 So it is a comedy. Well, let's just go with Dave Chappelle. Forget it. I ain't even listen to it. Forget it. Just off of pure ignorance. Let's go with Dave Chappelle for that category. Best Children's album.
Starting point is 01:27:21 I don't know. I don't know that one. Best New Age. We're going to skip that. Best reggae. I see Shenzia on there. I see Vibes Cartel, which is a testament to how fickle people are. Everybody said free vibes cartel.
Starting point is 01:27:37 But what popular artists you know that's featured with Vives Cartel put him on their album, their song, anything, right, instead of an Instagram post? What did Kendrick say? they faking for likes and digital hugs I ain't gonna lie Vibs Cartel being free Everybody's saying free You know Vibes is home or whatever
Starting point is 01:28:04 And then nothing comes of it So I'm like All that for nothing Like I just don't understand the fickleness of people Best Global Music Album Just because I see Tim's name on here Gotta give it to Tim's I mean
Starting point is 01:28:20 Gotta give it to Tim's Best African music performance okay so tomorrow we have ymi allayed i think that's how you say it mms by asake and whizkid sensational by chris brown featuring davido a loge higher by bernar boy and then love me j j by thames now of course i'm going to hire by bernard boy and i'm just going to tell y'all right now i don't think it's close but of course i would not be upset if anybody else had a difference of opinion of course but for me personally higher should win best african music performance that being said best global music performance i don't know too many of the names on here so we're just going to keep moving
Starting point is 01:29:05 along best tropical latin album best uh musica mexicana album oh i see peso on here now i got to give it to peso peso peso pluma exoto is extraordinary right uh peso's been my favorite latin musician and I've covered a plethora of Latin musicians to the point where, honestly, for the year of 2024, Kendrick and Drake kicked it off as far as the podcast. Of course, some gaming talk. But as far as consistently,
Starting point is 01:29:39 the Latin community really been showing up. Like, I feel like, I was going to say, I served someone, but, you know, it's a little too soon for that, the way the Latin community been supporting me. So with that being said, Paisal Pluma has always been the top for me personally, as far as Latin music,
Starting point is 01:29:56 I like the hero in my off time. But obviously, I like Oscar Miodone. Carol G. I like her. I like Bazaar. It's bizarre. I just play, all right, my fault. My fault.
Starting point is 01:30:10 You can throw your tomatoes. But, yeah, no, it's, I don't know how. I like Bazaarip's very unique style of making music, but I enjoy it. But as far as this, best musica, Mexicana album, definitely, definitely got to go to Paiso Pluma. I can't go to anybody else. Best Latin rock or alternative album. I'm going to skip that one.
Starting point is 01:30:33 Best Musica Urbana album. I don't see Paisal Pluma. Am I tripping? I see Bad Bunny. I see J. Balvin. I see Feed. I've covered him before. Well, I cover all these people except for a Resdente and Young.
Starting point is 01:30:49 Actually, I've covered all these people. Let me look this up. Sometimes, hey, that's how you know I'd be working. You know what I'm saying? That's why you should subscribe. Rate this five stars. you know, shared to somebody who you think would enjoy
Starting point is 01:30:59 in-depth music discussions, you know what I'm saying? I think I've talked about all these people when you type in feed. Yeah, I've talked about feed numerous times. I've talked about, let's see, young Michael, like, numerous times. Obviously, I've talked about Jay Baldwin. I don't even got to look that up. And then, of course, Bad Bunny.
Starting point is 01:31:18 So, yeah, I've talked to, oh, Resente. Let me see if I talked about him. Resentee. I haven't talked about him. Okay, but everybody else on this list I've talked about. So as far as my personal sentiments, I would probably give this to Bad Bunny. I mean, Bad Bunny just runs the game when it comes to numbers.
Starting point is 01:31:38 He is the Drake of the Latin music field. Doesn't mean he makes the highest quality music. I'm just saying that as far as analytically, he runs the game when it comes to the Latin music field. Nobody outsells Bad Bunny. So quality-wise, though, he's still pretty up there as far as. the music that he puts out. So I would go with his album as far as the best
Starting point is 01:31:59 musica Urbana album. Best Latin pop album. We have Anita. Actually, I don't know too many. Oh. Hey, let me, uh, chill right quick because I see Caliuchas on here. Based off the name, it got to go to Caliuchess. I don't care. Okitas or however you say it. Best Latin pop album has to go to Caliuchess. I don't care. Nobody said. So anyways, um, um, Best Roots gospel album. I'll skip that one. Best contemporary. Best gospel.
Starting point is 01:32:37 Best contemporary. Best gospel. Best regional roots. Best folk album. Best contemporary. Best traditional. Let me see. Bluegrass.
Starting point is 01:32:51 American. American roots. Uh. Best Country album. Ah, here we go. From Nashville to the Grammys. We finally got to the title of the episode, which if you don't know,
Starting point is 01:33:07 episode 143 is coming out pretty soon. Obviously, this is going to come out before the episode because it's going to be pretty extensive, simply because of the segment, literally. So anyways, what was the same? All right, so from Nashville to Tennessee, we are now getting into the countryside of music.
Starting point is 01:33:26 So with that being said, best Americana performance for a new vocal or instrumental Americana performance award to artists. So I don't know what that means, but I see Beyonce on here best believe me. Any nomination that Beyonce has other than the big four categories, which is, what's the big four categories, record of the year, album of the year, song of the year. And then there's something else. that's the that's the big one anyways you get what i'm saying right outside of those big four categories just making a shoe win for bionc to win i think this is a shaping up for bionc to have a clean suite
Starting point is 01:34:07 personally i think shabuzi has the best album of 2024 i think he dropped an undeniable classic with where i've been isn't where i where i'm going essentially hang homage to not only country but also hip hop and infusing it in a way that little net little naus ex try to but as far as the organic side of things shibuzzi perfected it and upgraded the quality times ten and now we have this album that's a classic body of work big x the plug being on a country album still having the ability to switch it up and then put out a track like Annabelle or Highway. I mean, that's one of the best albums probably I've ever heard in life. I mean, because I don't think people really put too much credence on the ability to stay true to a genre, right?
Starting point is 01:35:19 There's a reason why Drake's on top as far as hip-hop because he puts out R&B hits and rap hits. what Shibuzi did with country and hip hop is in that same realm and that is why when you see Shibuzzi on Beyonce's Cowboy Carter multiple times as far as a feature and then she talks about how he helped out in the creative process
Starting point is 01:35:41 and then after the fact when he puts out his album personally it grew to be even more impressive to me I think that has to be accounted for it as far as what biont also did as far as finding him as a talent to highlight
Starting point is 01:36:00 because of course a bar song was probably going to go up regardless but of course with that biancé co-signed in the alleyute who would have known uh who would have predicted that a bar song would have been the most successful song in the last decade because there was a stat where shibuzzi Let's see. Shibuzzi. Hopefully I typed his name right. I think it did. Okay.
Starting point is 01:36:33 So let me tell you all something. A barred song by Shibuzi becomes the longest running solo number one hit in Billboard board history. Now let's do this. Billboard Hot 100 history. No, no, no, forget that. Billboard Hot 100. When was it created?
Starting point is 01:36:54 because I think people forget just how impressive a bar song has been as far as in totality in one year, right? In the span of one year, it's broke a record that probably won't be broke
Starting point is 01:37:08 again in our lifetime. I'm not trying to be dramatic. The Billboard Hot 100 was created in 1958. Shibuzi has the longest running solo number one hit in Billboard Hot 100 history, meaning it was the most played song on planet earth for 17 weeks.
Starting point is 01:37:29 Maybe it wasn't consecutively. Obviously, not like us. I think went number one at one point. I had some help with Post Malone and Morgan Wallin went number one. But to consistently be in the top three and then reach number one 17 times in a span of, let me see, because I don't even think, because it's the longest running number one hit, right? It hasn't even been a year yet. Like, was a bar song?
Starting point is 01:38:03 I don't know if that was a single. Anyways, let's just go to the album. The album was released May 31st, 2024. I believe a bar song was not a single. Hopefully I'm not mistaken. But anyways. Okay, so May 31st. That is one, two, three, four, five, six.
Starting point is 01:38:27 well almost six so not so five and a half five and a half months this man broke the record on a platform that's been out since 1958 for the amount of number one uh chart you can have on billboard hot 100 history having the most played album or most played track 17 times and the span of five to seven months is insane. We're never going to see that again, ever. Taylor Swift couldn't do that. Beyonce couldn't do that. Drake couldn't do that.
Starting point is 01:39:07 Shibuzzi put out statistically the most impressive song we've ever seen in life. Like, I don't know how it's the frame. If you don't get it by now, we're just going to move on. So, anyways, back to what I was saying about Beyonce. So, Best Americana Performance. Yeah, yeah, I think will win because Beyond, In every category that Beyonce's in, I think she's going to clean up other than the Big Four. I think the Big Four is the ultimate toss-up as far as who's going to win.
Starting point is 01:39:32 But every other category that has Beyonce in it, she's just going to clean up. For the simple fact, just like Shaboozy, the Nashville Roots is going to lead them to a Grammy. Anyways, Best American Roots Performance. I don't know too many of these people. Is that fabulous? The fabulous Thunderbirds. Oh, excuse me. best country album cowboy cowboy carter biance f1 trillion post malone deeper well casey musgraves
Starting point is 01:40:03 higher by chris stapleton and whirlwind by laney wilson now first off let me just tell y'all i think where i've been isn't where i'm going should be on this list i know y'all gonna be like oh your recency bias is showing but shibuzzi literally creatively helped Cowboy Carter and then followed up with the album personally that I think is better. So with that being said, I think it's because he's such a new act that the entire project, they probably want to wait to even like, actually, I'm, I'm not trying down Shibuzzi, but man, this may have been putting out music for a while. This may be his best body of work of his career. Like after this, I mean, even at the end of the song, he says, I'm good if he ends. Like, you know what I mean? He was just basically saying, I'm good if this was the end, right? Because I had such a great run with this in 2024 that literally at the end is titled finally over. I mean, you just probably already know that, hey, I probably not going to be able to make this album again. Like this album, I don't know how I came up with this, but it's a classic body of work. And now that I'm at the end of it, it's finally over, right? So anyway, that's probably why they didn't want to give them a nomination because, I mean, I don't think he would have won.
Starting point is 01:41:26 So it was like, let's just not put him on there in the first place, which is crazy logic. But I'm telling you, this is the type of talks they have behind the scenes as far as, oh, if you're not going to win regardless, why will we put him as a nomination? Put other people that may have a better chance of actually winning. Because why let a new artist win a huge category as far as Best Country album? They'll rather him be nominated for, well, yeah, best country song because that's one singular song. anybody can well not anybody let me not be disrespectful it's easier quote unquote to have a hit song than it is to have a hit album right or just a highly acclaimed album anyways based off this list biancy's winning i mean come on now i just said every category biancy's in she's going to win
Starting point is 01:42:14 besides the big four as far as the categories that that's going to be more of a toss-up and of course the um hold up I was looking at something uh totally forgot what I was looking at oh okay um all the best four categories oh yeah okay so when I keep saying that because some people may get confused
Starting point is 01:42:42 the the categories I'm talking about is basically song of the year album of the year record of the year and then there's another one I keep forgetting maybe it's producer I don't know maybe it's best new artists I forget but those are like the top three categories that
Starting point is 01:42:58 is like the MVP of the season, right? You get either record of the year, album or a year, a song of the year. You essentially won MVP, right? So, yeah, Beyonce is definitely getting country album, a country album win for Cowboy Carter. So anyways, best country song.
Starting point is 01:43:19 Actually, let me go back to best country album. Let me tell you something. I was listening, because I've listened to all these albums except for the Casey Musgraves and the Layne Wilson album. F1 trillion I don't know what it is
Starting point is 01:43:35 But the last track off of F1 trillion I don't even have kids And that was a tear jerker If I do say so myself I mean The amount of emotional Capacity that you have to have To put out a song like that
Starting point is 01:43:49 It reminds me of when people Dance at the end of weddings Which is called like the recital I don't know That's how you know I'm not close to marriage But as far as the recital And you dance with your dad
Starting point is 01:44:02 yeah your dad and then you play a song to honor to dance or whatever that was basically the type of vibe that post Malone had and he nailed at the end of F1 trillion the track yours
Starting point is 01:44:18 is probably one of the better tracks of Post Malone's career as far as actual substance that leads to evolution as a man yours by Post Malone off of the F1 trillion album is one of the the better tracks I've heard from Post Malone
Starting point is 01:44:32 and his discography. As far as just the amount of heavy substance that's in the track and I mean like quality as far as lyrically themes that nature. I'm not talking about drugs. So yeah, because you know, you look at
Starting point is 01:44:48 Post Malone, you think that I just flew with you. All right, so anyways, Best Country Song, the architect I don't know what this is, a bar song, by shibuzzi of course okay okay i see it is in the uh parentheses of the name of like everybody and the mom for a song of the year i mean best country song which makes sense but still so going back
Starting point is 01:45:12 over the list the architect by casey musgraves a bar song by shabuzzi i am not okay by jelly roll i had some help by post malone featuring morgan walling and in a Of course, Texas Hold'em by Beyonce. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a jam pack list. This is probably the most competition that I've seen in this entire document so far. So actually it's not. A bar song should win. What?
Starting point is 01:45:51 I'm tripping. A bar song, do I have to pull up the stat again? A billboard has been around since 1958. Let me see. Billboard has been around and first published August 4th, 1958. Ladies and gentlemen, in less than five and a half months, a bar song about Shabuzzi became the longest running solo number one hit in Billboard Hot 100 history, making it the most successful track of all time as far as number one hits on Billboard in the span of five to eight months for a platform that's been out since
Starting point is 01:46:29 1950. Obviously, I say quality. Obviously, I say that streams does not automatically mean you have high quality as far as having a high amount of streams. But when it comes to a bar song, and they're also having high quality, safe to say, it should be a shoe win that a bar song wins. So I think a bar song, tipsy, it's not even close.
Starting point is 01:46:54 Like, I'm going to have to pull a Kanye moment, myself if he doesn't win this category. Like this is the one category where it's like you can't have more achievements stacked up on your resume for trying to win this award. Like there's no other track that's ever had more resume builder than a bar song for Best Country Song. So if it doesn't win, hey, I'm not going to say,
Starting point is 01:47:20 I'm not going to pull the card. I'm not going to pull the card, but I'm just going to say if it doesn't win, just hold of, definitely spilled it. on myself for the people who've seen the video version. Yeah, man, I'm like a child. Anyways, yeah, I had to take a sip on that because that was, I'm not going to play the card, but if it doesn't win, y'all know, y'all can read my brain, right?
Starting point is 01:47:54 So yeah, Shibuzi should by far and away win Best Country Song. It's not even, not even close. I'm not even going to give day any more thought. Best Country Duo slash Group Performance. So we have Cowboys Cry 2 by Kelsey ballerini ballerini calcia ballerina with noah khan or kahan then we have most wanted of course by biancéet featuring mili cyrus which i'm not trying to get my black card taken or my uh yeah my black car taken but if you know you know myel cyrus did her thing on there that's all i got to say that's all i got
Starting point is 01:48:38 say. I'm not going to say who had the better verse. I'm just going to say, Miley Cyrus did her thing and y'all do with that information, which you will. Let's just say she showed out on that track. Anyways, break mine, brothers Osborne. I don't know who they are. No disrespect. I just don't know. Bigger houses by Dan Plus Shea and then I had some help by Post Malone and feature Morgan Waller. now as far as best country duo slash group performance like i keep telling y'all in general every category biancese in besides the top three or top four she is going to win biance and moly sires will win best country duo slash group performance uh for second most won and you know why they're going to win for the simple fact that i would have chose i had some
Starting point is 01:49:30 help but only reason morgan walling is even nominated is because post malone is on here because let me break it down y'all think i was talking about niki minage when it comes to post malone it's a whole other debacle right oh man not not post malone my fault when it comes to morgan wallin is a whole another situation as far as why he's snub from the grammies so this one i agree with i agree with having this type of sentiment towards an artist for the Grammy snubs. So essentially, let me tell y'all something. As a black man in America, when people use the N-word, sometimes I give them a pass if they actually mistakenly used it.
Starting point is 01:50:16 Like Michelle Beatle, not too long ago, accidentally said the N-word when she was trying to say Nuggets, right? So if you mess up and say that, or the judge that just said the criminal, I mean, young thug free and just the next hearing was letting the end bomb fly right now just flying it's okay so same situation she read off she was reading off comments that you know one of the people she was sentencing uh was commenting on ig and she was just reading reading it off verbatim and she accidentally said the the end word she and she said it like the the white dude and boondocks right she said it like it was just organic like she been you know what I'm saying like
Starting point is 01:50:59 Maybe she'd been around a couple. I mean, chill. So anyways, I think when white people say the N word, it can be excusable if it's an actual mistake. But the problem is when you are actively using the word in its origin definition. So Morgan Wallin was caught in 4K using the racial slur in 2021. you can't make the stuff up. I swear to you, you would have thought this man just did not care about ever being famous in life.
Starting point is 01:51:35 Because the way he was letting it fly, you would have never thought that this man was going to try to have a famous career the way he was just letting an inbound fly. So, of course, I've joked that if you're talented enough, they won't care. And obviously that's the case with Justin Bieber. I mean, he's harmonizing the N-word with the hardy are, and people still quantify him as one of the greatest pop musicians of all time.
Starting point is 01:51:57 So if you're talented enough, obviously they don't care. I mean, Morgan Wallen literally, hold on, let me see. Doesn't Morgan Wallen have a song with a rapper right now? So obviously, he probably just landed flying there. You know, they probably like, hey, let me hear you say it one more time. You know what I'm saying? Get it off your chest one more time. So, I don't get what it was called.
Starting point is 01:52:22 Okay, it was definitely Morgan Wallen. Morgan Wallen, because, I mean, I'm not talking about Little Dirk. Obviously, I know that track, Broadway Girls, and then the other track he has with Little Dirk. I'm talking about the other track. I don't know if it's Spin You Round. Maybe I'm thinking about another musician. I thought it was Morgan Wallen.
Starting point is 01:52:50 Somebody. Must be somebody else. What in the world? Oh. Lies, lies, lies. That's not him. Spin you around. It's not on this DSP,
Starting point is 01:53:04 but that doesn't mean anything. sometimes you know they just don't have it on there uh let me see all god i know it was him because morgan wallen's the one out here doing collaborative rappers which is why people would let him say the embalm in the first place right all morgan wallen features in 2024 okay so post malone of course and then although specific let's see i had some help okay maybe it wasn't him maybe i'm thinking somebody else. I'm probably definitely thinking of somebody else.
Starting point is 01:53:44 Is a country artist and a rapper? I know that, but I guess it wasn't. I guess I got them confused with another country artist. Dang, I want to find it now. I don't know if it was Big X to plug. Maybe it was Blake Sheldon. It wasn't Blake Sheldon.
Starting point is 01:54:04 That don't even sound like a name that would collab with a rapper. Zach Brian. It may have been Zach Brian. Let's see. okay I can't find it I tried to find it but um I swear he had one maybe it's 2023 let me see 20 20 okay this the last one 23 23 features because I'm trying to um I'm tying this back to how if you're talented enough people just won't care he's doing collabs with little dirt doing collabs with
Starting point is 01:54:37 all the other type of rappers so he did stand by me with little dirt um and I do believe that that But, Oregon Wallen, you know, to his credit, is the only very popular country artist to be out here collaborating a numerous amount of time with rappers, right? Multiple songs with Little Dirk as far as Broadway girls and stand by me. And then, of course, we post him alone. I mean, started off as a rapper, I guess. I don't know. Okay, yeah, I guess it wasn't him. I guess I got him confused with somebody else.
Starting point is 01:55:22 but um point still says this man said the in bomb back in 2021 don't nobody care about the Grammys so that's why he's snubbed and which is why I'm saying him being snubbed that's something I agree with
Starting point is 01:55:34 because that's actually an actual um offense towards a group of people that's pretty offensive you know what I mean like as far as the history you know I know they're trying to take it out the history books but as far as the history um I can see why this man is snub
Starting point is 01:55:49 so even though because last year this happened to him one thing at a time achieve the record for the longest running number one album
Starting point is 01:56:00 on Billboard 200 of that year if you don't know Morgan Wallen was putting up better numbers from an album perspective than Taylor Swift in last year right
Starting point is 01:56:10 it may seem crazy because Taylor Swift's first week sales but consistently Morgan Wallen was having that number at a higher clip than Taylor Swift Taylor Swift would jump out the gate two point something crazy
Starting point is 01:56:22 million first week sales. But then as far as consistently, like week 15, week 16, Morgan Wallen was holding that slot. So anyways, so yeah, because of him, you know, dropping the M-Bomb like it was going out of style, they basically banned him from the Grammys. So he received this first Grammy nomination, but guess what?
Starting point is 01:56:44 It's only because it's attached to Post Malone. And that's usually the workaround, which is why sometimes you see Drake, sometimes you see the weekend, have Grammy nominations when they don't submit their music because the tracks that they're on will be submitted and then the Grammys will have to decide, you know, what to do with that. So that's basically why. But yeah, it was a big deal November 10, 2023 when he didn't receive any Grammy nominations.
Starting point is 01:57:11 Anyways, okay, enough of Morgan Waller. All right, he dropped the end bomb. That's why he's banned. So, you know, long story short. With that being said, that is why I'm saying, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus would easily win Best Country Duo slash group performance because they already didn't want to nominate the man. No way they're giving a win to Post Malone and Morgan Wallet. No matter how much they adore Post Malone, they're still not giving it to them.
Starting point is 01:57:36 Anyways, Best Country Solo Performance. Of course, we have 16 characters by Beyonce and I am not okay by Jelly Road. The Architect with Casey, a bar song by Shibuzi. It takes a one. by Chris Stapleton. Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you one more time. If Shabuzi does not win an award for a bar song, I'm going to have to pull a digital Kanye West, and I will get canceled.
Starting point is 01:58:04 I just want to let you know that. Because if he doesn't win with the amount of resume that this song has, all I can do is play the black card, man. That's all I can do. So I think Arsson is going to win Best Country Solo Performance. And it should, by far.
Starting point is 01:58:21 Um, what else? Okay, so best musical theater album, I don't know too much about that. Best contemporary. Hold on what's that. Okay, yeah, I don't know that one. Best traditional. Best Latin, oh, hold on, best Latin. I don't know that one.
Starting point is 01:58:38 Best alternative jazz, large jazz, jazz instrumental. Jazz vocal, jazz performance. Y'all, y'all a fan of jazz? Best spoken word. A little ASMR. Oh, hold on. now is this rap not hip hop all right so back into another wheelhouse of mine let's get into best rap album i know that's i know that's not what i think it is that's not what i think it is i don't know
Starting point is 01:59:12 it's just it's just no way it's no way that an album with a track that was put out and taken off by the artist themselves because they said it was garbage got a nomination for best rap album what But who is who's on the committee, bro? I got to know. It's definitely Jay-Z because obviously if you don't know Germain's under Jay-Z.
Starting point is 01:59:34 I've always wondered how an overrated rapper like J-Main can have such hierarchy in the hip-hop game, right? But now it makes sense. I mean, you have Rock Nation, Jay-Z backing you himself
Starting point is 01:59:44 and so, of course, you have a lot of leeway when it comes to being completely garbage. We're not garbage. It's a little strong. But just being completely overrated. So,
Starting point is 01:59:53 Jay Cole himself took off a track because of the quality level and of course the direction that that was going to make him have to go in right so that in itself should disqualify the entire body of work might delete later but lo and behold because of jz might delete later is literally nominated for best rap album i mean it must be nice that's like worse than brawny jane that's like like jz like his daddy for real like this is insane anyways all right back to all same the auditorium volume one by common and p.rock shout out to
Starting point is 02:00:31 them you know shout out to the old heads and uh p rock I don't know how old he is I may take my hip hop card actually I don't know too much about Pete rock let me see Pete Rock age oh yeah this man 54 years old I don't know too much about that uh al a lot to be disrespectful I just don't know alligator bites never heal this is very interesting because whoever selected this means that they are listening to core hip hop fans because I keep hearing that Dochi's album is straight phenomenal I haven't listened to it but the consensus is that this is some top-tier body of work and they are calling her to female Kendrick to the point where Kendrick put out a post for Doci and let me see if I could find this okay
Starting point is 02:01:25 Dochi. I keep hitting my mic. Pause. Let me see. Is this it? That's not it. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 02:01:38 All right. So you know how Kendrick could have been like bothered to post the guy who produces like best track ever not like us? But here he is posting
Starting point is 02:01:48 dosi, which I'm not hating on dosi. I'm definitely hating on Kendrick specifically for not posting DJ Musters' album. But you know, somehow, you know, even though the mysterious mantra is still upon him, he found some time to post Dochi being quote unquote the hardest out. So yeah, do have that information which you will.
Starting point is 02:02:11 So Kendrick couldn't post the guy who gave him his most successful hit ever when he put out his album after the fact. But of course he put out Dochi. You know what I mean? Hey, no hate on Doche. I'm specifically hating on Kendrick. So anyways, But yeah, that's basically the type of noise that Dochi was able to accumulate based off pure talent with her album.
Starting point is 02:02:34 So I'm not mad at this. I'm not mad at her having a best rap album nomination. Of course, we have the depth of Slim Shady by Eminem. And then we have We Don't Trust You by Future in Metro Boomer. So looking at this list, automatically Jermaine makes this list a joke. because why is it on here and that's it that's all i have to say just why is it on here he himself took off tracks off the album and you want to tell me as a grammy nominated is a grammy worthy album all right j z and the reason why i keep saying j z is because i don't think y'all realize
Starting point is 02:03:14 this man hey it's the reason why p ditty was able to get away with a lot of stuff he was able to get away with j z on a much more lighthearted note gets away with a lot behind the scenes with the people he preferred to put in power that because of the way he could change your life, people don't speak on it, right? So that's why you should definitely rate this five stars, you know what I'm saying? And share this and definitely sign up to my Patreon because, hey, I don't know who else is going to give it give it up like this when it comes to Jay-Z because of Jay-Z putting so many people in different positions for bad word of mouth to not spread around. Anyways, Um, what was I saying?
Starting point is 02:03:58 Yeah, so it might delete later. Just complete joke. I don't know why it's on here. I would say, best rap album based off the selections, because you already know. Actually, they do have the album. Okay, I do have future in my, like,
Starting point is 02:04:13 as far as one of my top five albums of 2024. But from a Grammy's perspective, as far as politics, I mean, it has to go to M&M. I'm not going to lie to you. Death of Slim Shady is a very phenomenal album. I don't care what people say about him rapping like he reads.
Starting point is 02:04:30 like he reading an entire thesaurus or encyclopedia. I don't care what y'all got to say. This man is putting some words together like we've never seen before. And I think that has to be acknowledged as far as the overall
Starting point is 02:04:45 concept that he went with as far as the death of Slim Shady and then the perfection of the execution. Right? So now I think he deserves a Grammy. So I would say the death of Slim Shady. The death of Slim Shady. by Eminem should win.
Starting point is 02:05:03 But I want to be mad at anybody else win except for Germain. Like that's just atrocious. Like, goodness gracious. That's like playing in a basketball game, right? And taking yourself out the game because you're playing so bad. And then at the end of the game,
Starting point is 02:05:16 they're like, hey, this is the MVP right here and they give you the trophy. Like, what? Like, hold on now. This man took himself out the game. And you still, all right. So, yeah, that's the type of power Jay-Z has just to let y'all know.
Starting point is 02:05:28 Because if you don't know, remember what I said about the selection committee which is why I prefer the billboard awards over the the gramees um the grammy's voting body is performers songwriters producers and engineers and j z is a part definitely a part of that list and it's spoken about voting on the grammies because of when he talked about his wife not ever winning album of the year but she's the most nominated and he was like how does that work and for the people who don't remember, here is Jay-Z complaining about a voting system
Starting point is 02:06:03 that he has a heavy hand in, right? Like, how do y'all think Killer Mike won? Y'all think it was because of the younger generation? Anyways. Let me see. Oh, yeah, that's right here. Okay, so. That doesn't work.
Starting point is 02:06:25 Think about that. Most Gramies, never won an album of the year. That doesn't work. Look, Beyonce's sitting there like, don't you know i get salarge up there right now like boy if you don't if you don't let me have my moment no i just play it was actually j z's moment he was receiving some type of award for impact which he definitely deserves of course i you know all intense and purposes i make jokes but there's a reason why i have j z as my number one rapper of all time i think well actually
Starting point is 02:06:53 i don't know kendrick maybe i'm just hey kentrick never got ether food for thought but j z then make the black album and he actually stays consistent in the culture as far as actually caring about it you know we don't know about kendrick still up in there like you know he's
Starting point is 02:07:13 he's for the culture right where we see when come on let me chill anyways all right uh let's run this back metrics that doesn't work think about that most gramees never one album of the year that doesn't work
Starting point is 02:07:29 You know, some of you, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed. Some of you made it, bro. That was such a bar. Some of you don't belong in a category. Spoken like a true capitalist. Let's keep going. He was probably talking to Jermaine. He was like, hey, you know that's all me, right?
Starting point is 02:07:55 Anyways, let's keep going. Tell the truth. But outside of that, outside of that, you know, we got to keep showing up. And forget the grubies for a second, just in life. as a little mention that does all right and he goes on
Starting point is 02:08:15 to speak about life motivation in a way that only Sean Carter can so you know
Starting point is 02:08:20 obviously all jokes and is just for all intents and purposes is basically jokes for me you know
Starting point is 02:08:29 I'm serious about certain things but as far as overall JZ's what we need for hip hop to continue to
Starting point is 02:08:35 go for it I'm not going to you I mean JZ said himself you know um
Starting point is 02:08:40 they out here burning bridge to get a, they out here burning bridges, you know you can't swim across or something like that, which is a very deep line if you think about it. But ultimately, he is our connection to a lot of different ways as far as having a say in bigger issues, or not issues, but just bigger platforms. Let's just say like that.
Starting point is 02:09:03 Because, of course, at the NFL, I mean, on the entertainment level, it's a big platform. And now we have a say, and we've had to say for the past like five to ten years. So Jay-Z is very essential to what we need in hip-hop. I don't think I need to. I don't think y'all need me to tell y'all that, right?
Starting point is 02:09:19 I just make jokes about them because him putting Jermaine up there is just insane. Anyways, why did I say that? I totally forgot why I said that, but that was the much-needed rant. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, Eminem Death of Slim Shady should definitely win Best Rap album. And, yeah, I totally forgot why I went on that rant. anyways best best rap song astroys by rhapsody featuring hit boy carnival by Kanye west and ty dollison featuring rich the kid and playboy cardi like that oh i'm tripping like that with uh by
Starting point is 02:09:57 future metro and uh kendrick not like us by kendrick and yeah glow by glorilla which you know on to you know for basically ironically yeah glow is how i was feeling when she got nominated i was like i'm so i'm i'm finally glad that somebody is showcasing how much of a impact glowrilla has had on hip-hop in 2024 and sexy red but of course her name i don't know if like i told y'all i typed in sexy red one time and they thought i was looking up something else you know what i'm saying i got the safety precautions and everything all like oh no like she ain't going to make it like this is a like I'm over here trying to get I'm over here trying to type in her name for educational purposes. I think I'm on a different type of timing.
Starting point is 02:10:43 Anyways, best rap song should go to like that. I think like that is probably one of the better hip hop songs we've ever received in life. As far as the engineering, the execution lyrically, and then the execution melodically. you had the best of everything metro is arguably the best hip-hop producer in the game right now don't forget he gave us the spider verse uh soundtrack that was phenomenal but then he gave us heroes and villains that was equally as phenomenal right then he gave us two albums from future so unequivocally this is this man is probably the best hip-hop producer in the game right now excluding I don't even know if you can exclude Kanye.
Starting point is 02:11:39 I mean, if you really, if we really want to talk about it, the last two years of body, the last two years of Metro Boomer's production body of work against Kanye's last two years of production as far as body of work, Metro may be taking the cake with that one. So I would say Metro is the best hip-hop producer currently. Future obviously has the best melodic rap. a performance on the track. And then of course, Kendrick tops it all off, pause, with the lyrically inclined bars directed at the Canadian, of course.
Starting point is 02:12:18 So in totality, I think it's one of the best hip hop tracks ever created. I mean, it's so good that at the end of the song, Metro just went off. Metro was like, you know what? I'm going to give a verse to myself. You know what I'm saying? He was such in the zone. He was like, let me just give a verse to myself. He just went off with Aidaway's, high hats, everything.
Starting point is 02:12:39 Started going crazy, playing the little samples he had. If you like that, you know, just start doing the drums. It was insane. Like that, it's literally like that. It's probably one of the best hip-hop tracks of all time. Yeah. So I think that should win best rap song. But definitely shout out to all other songs that was nominated in this category.
Starting point is 02:13:00 Especially shout out to Glorilla. And, yeah. With that being said, best melodic rap performance. performance we have Kalani by Jordan added tunji added tuneji I don't know what type of name that is but anyways featuring Kalani then you have spaghetti which you know what I don't get the hype for a spaghetti I want to sound like a hater but as far as the entire body of work spaghetti is one of my least favorite songs I think it's because the way that the ad libs was just so abrasive is that is that the word like as far as sonically let me see abrasive make sure you know i got look up stuff nowadays
Starting point is 02:13:48 abrasive definition i know i'm old i'm 24 going on 60 all right uh capable of polishing or cleaning a hard surface by rubbing or grinding yeah definitely abrasive sonically because of the adlib she was doing while she was rapping j z definitely was in the studio when she was rapping as far as you know teaching her and coaching her but he probably should have told her that hey A, B, this ain't it. Whatever you doing in them adlives, take that out. Like, I don't know what type of, like, I don't know if somebody laid down a reference track and she was copying their ad libs, but it did not sound the greatest.
Starting point is 02:14:28 That's why I like spaghetti always threw me off. I can never get through that first verse. So anyways, but I love Shabuzzi's part, so, you know, I just suffer through it until I get to his part. But anyways, what was I saying? oh yeah best melodic rap performance kalani spaghetti we still don't trust you goodness i mean how much do they hate the canadian they hate levels are over 9000 i kid you not so the second album mind you we still don't trust you just in case you got to confuse
Starting point is 02:15:00 by future metro and the weekend and then you have big mama by lotto and then 3 a.m. by Rhapsody featuring Erica Badoon. Now, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you all. This is upsetting. Nickymanage has unequivocally one of the best albums of 2023. Personally, I think is the best album of 2023 when it comes to hip-hop. Melodically, I just showed y'all the complete listing of submissions for Nikki Minaj.
Starting point is 02:15:31 If y'all think they wasn't trying to be petty by having Big Mama by Lado in a melodic rap, performance whenever Nikki obviously has a track that's melodic with R&B I don't know what to tell y'all like whoever Nikki made upset I don't know if she just has to bite the bullet and apologize behind the scenes I don't know what they want I don't know what she did because Morgan Wallen we know why he's snubbed from the Gramies and outcast it but Nikki what did she do like what could Nikki What could Onika have done to make somebody this upset? It's almost like that boondocks me.
Starting point is 02:16:18 What did that person do to make him so much so upset? To the point where I forgot, yeah, one of my, is it out here? Yeah, one of my snippets, or not snippets, one of my sound bites is Nikki basically talking about the state of hip hop because what is going on? But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? Nikki waking up seeing Big Mama by Lado get a nomination for best melodic rap performance over her R&B track from Pink Friday 2. But then you know what I'm saying, damn, look at the state of hip hop like what's going on?
Starting point is 02:16:57 Nikki Minaj seeing Rhapsody featuring Erica Badu. She's a musician. Alright, let me stop playing. But you know, Erica Badu over Nikki Minaj's R&B off of Pink Friday 2. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? And you know, it's so funny, I forgot I had that sound.
Starting point is 02:17:17 I forgot I had that sound bite. So that should let you know something. I've been to know, Nicky had been telling the truth. And it's just like machines and conglomerates set up against her. But I mean, from behind the scenes, the media does say that she is not the greatest. It doesn't treat them with the most respect, right? Which old, not calling her old, you know, before I get in trouble. you know that's the triggering right there you might as well just say the hardy are you're whether
Starting point is 02:17:45 rather than car call a woman old you know what I'm saying but um anyways um what's I'm saying oh yeah I forgot that's how you know I'm getting old um Nikki basically is out here getting disrespectly left and right I mean if Erica Badu and Lado can get a best melodic rap performance over Onika, Tanya, Marage for Pink Friday, too. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? What's going on?
Starting point is 02:18:23 But anyways, best melodic rap performance. I think she go to, yeah, it's probably going to go to spaghetti. It ain't going to like to. Beyonce's going to do a clean suite, especially if she's in the rap category. Grammy's already looked down on the genre of rap. And now they have the darling Beyonce and rap. nah she's definitely taking that so she's going to win best melodic rap performance in futures and metro and the weekend that just got to eat it so anyways pause uh best rap performance now
Starting point is 02:18:53 this is one of my favorite categories for the simple fact that i love diving into lyrics because putting words together at a high tier consistent rate as far as high quality is very much undervalued in today's state of hip hop. People will love to listen to spend a block twice like there's nowhere to park 20 million times rather than hear somebody give real life advice on a record like the track On Up by Big Sean off his album, right? Prime example, that album came out in this eligibility period.
Starting point is 02:19:31 Do you see On Up on any of these rap performances? Of course not. But, and Big Sean actually did submit, you know, he had submissions as well. But, you know, the Grammys pulled a mark from RDC world and looked at his first week sales and said, hey, we don't listen to that. How much he sold? Nah, we don't listen to that. We ain't nominating that.
Starting point is 02:19:51 So that's why it's so funny because when I do talk about sales, it doesn't equal quality, right? It's just talking about the consumption rate compared to your peers. But the reason why I'm saying that is because, honestly, when it comes to best rap performance, I am diving deeper, I think, than majority of people when it comes to lyrics and the way to put lyrics together. A lot of people haven't written a rap, but they have all the critique in the world, right? So anyways, let's get into it. Enough by Cardi B for Best Rap Performance. You know, I want to say this as politely, a polite fool.
Starting point is 02:20:34 Not, it's not word. As politely as I can. I don't know why enough is on here. best rap performance just giving Cardi B a nomination goes back to my Nicki point I mean
Starting point is 02:20:46 I know they ain't who I think it is I know they ain't putting Cardi B on best rap performance like hold up I know that ain't who I think it is yeah I don't care what type of lyrically inclined verse you think Cardi B had she don't
Starting point is 02:21:01 I mean come on man best rap performance at the Grammys let's be serious so anyways when the sun shines again by Carmen and Pete Rock they're some old heads so I know they was getting off some otherworldly type evolutionary bars, right? So anyways, um, Doshi Nissan Ultima. That's a fire track title.
Starting point is 02:21:23 Um, I got to listen to Doshi's album. I've heard too many good things about it. And I've covered way too much music to not get into Duchi because people are like the general consensus is that she went completely insane on her album. So if it's as lyrically inclined as people are saying it, is i got to check it out like i don't know why i haven't listened to it but um i'm gonna get around to that houdini by m&m now hot take i think fuel by j id and m&m should have been on best rap performance now hear me out the way that j id and m&m put on a master class of putting words together on a
Starting point is 02:22:03 track has to be studied now of course the rebuttal is that houdini is more of a replayable track and also it has more verse offerings from M&M which leads more credence to best rap performance because of course you're performing your raps and it's more of it on Houdini
Starting point is 02:22:23 versus fuel but I just want to bring up fuel to talk about how much of a phenomenal track that is and it's one of my favorite tracks of 2024 anyways like that you already know how I feel about like that Kendrick's verse is phenomenal and one of the best rap tracks of all times.
Starting point is 02:22:43 I wouldn't be mad if it won best rap performance. Yeah, Glow, I'm not like a lot of Glorla was spinning. What Glorilla be saying, I feel that to my core. Now, now, now, hey, hold on, I take that back. Oh, no, no, that everything. But, you know, some of the stuff she'd be saying, her braggadocious bars, I'd be, I'd be resonated with it. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 02:23:08 Like, you know, they behave. But they stole the flow. You know what I'm saying? I like that. Like, yeah, tuck that stuff, Glorella. Anyways, you got to be careful with these women rappers. But yeah, no, I can relate to that. Like, hold on now.
Starting point is 02:23:22 What you mean by that? Anyways, all right. So, yeah. And then, of course, not like us by Kendrick Lamar. That should easily win. That's like a bar song for being nominated for Best Country Song. That's the same way I feel about. not like us because as far as the list the offerings of nominations under best rap performance
Starting point is 02:23:44 none of them come close to not like us even eminem i'm sorry but the way that kendrick i can't even talk surgically went at the canadian and made him seem as if he was actually a pdf is and will be studied in the history books for time for foreseeable future we're going to be looking at this track and reading the lyrics off like it's gospel because this man changed the PG ever-friendly brand and more importantly brand friendly
Starting point is 02:24:24 brand friendly persona of Drake into a person that people now look at in a different light off of no evidence, right? Remember when Drake said on family matters, you better bring some paperwork or that stuff is fake tea. Didn't nobody care for that. They listening to not like us saying certified level boy, certify pedophile with no evidence to back it up.
Starting point is 02:24:50 I'm like, what type of world are we living in? So anyways, not like us, just completely just put on a master class on how to put words together to completely change the energy, and the dynamics in the perception of another human. And from that specific standpoint, it blows all the rest of the tracks out of the water. I mean, best rap performance is easily going to not like us.
Starting point is 02:25:15 I mean, they may just mess around and not even say the rest of the nominee. They may just get up there and be like, hey, what they say? They may get up there and be like, I see dead people and just walk off. Like, honestly, they're not even going to read off the rest of. of the nominations. Best rap performance should easily go to Kendrick Lamar's track, not like us. So anyways,
Starting point is 02:25:37 but y'all know what I would choose for best rap performance, but you know, that's why they ain't got me on a committee. It's all right, though. But Family Matters, I still think, is the best lyrical performance of 2024. I mean, people really underestimate Drake going up against future,
Starting point is 02:25:53 Metro, Kendrick, ASAP, Rick Ross. Was anybody else? Oh, the weekend. can't forget about the weekend Ontario beef y'all look up Drake's house shooting and then get back to me as far as
Starting point is 02:26:07 how deep you think the beef goes between Drake and the weekend I'm not making any connections but let's just say the Ontario beef between Exo and OVO that's scarier than whatever beef he thinks he has
Starting point is 02:26:25 with L.A. Let's just put like that all right so yeah I mean, for best performance, I easily would have went with Family Matters by Drake. But, you know, of course, they're not going to give me. They're not going to give it to me, right? Drake's nowhere to be found because he doesn't submit his music. So that's on him. Last time Drake even won a Grammy, just like at a Jay-Z's playbook, he took a big poop on them.
Starting point is 02:26:52 You know what I mean? And it's a PG podcast. You can probably fill in the blanks. But, yeah, last time Drake went on the Grammys, he basically went up there and told them, y'all don't even need this award. I kid you not. So this is probably why he stopped submitting. To just talk to all the kids that are watching this that are aspiring to do music,
Starting point is 02:27:11 all my peers that make music from their heart, that do things pure and tell the truth. I want to let you know we play in an opinion-based sport, not a factual-based sport. So it's not the NBA. We're at the end of the year you're holding a trophy because you made the right decisions or won the games. This is a business where sometimes, you know, it's up to a bunch of people that might not understand, you know, what a mixed-race kid from Canada has to say or a fly Spanish girl from New York or anybody else. Or a brother from Houston right there, my brother, Travis. But look, the point is you've already won. If you have people who are singing your songs word for word, if you're a hero in your hometown, if look, look, if there's people who have race.
Starting point is 02:27:54 regular jobs who are coming out in the rain, in the snow, spending their harder money to buy tickets to come to your shows. You don't need this right here. I promise you. You already won. I want to take this. And let me tell you, that is why he's the goat. Actually, that doesn't do it justice. Hold on. Let me a second. Those sentiments right there is ultimately what I be preaching 24-7. Awards is subjective. What you should put more credence on is the amount of people. people who come out to support you time and time again week after week month after month and i mean it was just eloquently put you know what i mean i know y'all gonna be saying uh don't get pregnant but hey somebody got pointed out right somebody somebody somebody got pointed out that's how i feel man
Starting point is 02:28:59 i mean that's why he to go you know what i'm saying anyways um what else was i saying oh yeah so that that's probably why uh drake has no nominations because uh drake doesn't submit his music. They would easily put family matters up here if he would have submitted it. I mean, just to lose to Kendrick, of course. I mean, it's politics at the end of day. And Jay-Z just signed Kendrick to do the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure he already picked his winner as far as the Grammys. I mean, if you choose somebody for the Super Bowl, probably are going to lean towards him winning a couple Grammy Awards. I mean, you know, it's not rocket science. So anyways, Kendrick won in this award by far. It's not even close.
Starting point is 02:29:43 Let's go into Best R&B album. 1111 by Chris Brown. Vanta Black by Lala Hathaway. Revenge by Mooney Long, algorithm by Lucky Day. And then coming home by Usher. Now, I'm not going to lie to you. Chris Brown's the most talented musician I've ever seen in life.
Starting point is 02:30:08 Overall, and not even musician, that's disrespectful. Chris Brown's the most talented person I've ever seen in life. I mean, he's an athlete, he's a painter, he's a rapper, he's a singer. I mean, y'all think that I praise Drake overall, as far as the sentiments I have towards Chris Brown, this man is talented in ways that can't even be described. apparently when P. Diddy's sons were fighting Ray J because of Ray J's comments on P. Diddy taking you know what?
Starting point is 02:30:46 Chris Brown came out and broke up the situation. So this man is even the A1 peacemaker. I mean, his man just has it all. I wouldn't have been surprised if he got out the car like Spider-Man did a couple backflips, landed in the middle of them in the superhero pose and told him to stop. Right? So with that being said,
Starting point is 02:31:03 Chris Brown should easily win Best R&B album Because I did listen to 1111 Phenomenal album Obviously, I compare this man to Michael Jackson from a talent standpoint Because everything
Starting point is 02:31:14 From an artistry standpoint Because technically Sports is art Hopefully that's not like surprising anybody But so from an artistry standpoint This man is the most talented artists I've ever seen, ever.
Starting point is 02:31:35 All around talent, high quality, top tier. Even to the point where even his hands are top tier. I mean, his left and is right. I mean, the Migos, rest and peace to take off. At the BET Awards about the 3V1 and Chris Brown was just chilling. He was just ready. What's that podcast with, I forget his name. I don't watch it that often, but, um,
Starting point is 02:32:02 I forget his name, but all the smoke, he was basically ready for all the smoke because when I tell you, this man was chilling, he was actually chilling when he was coming to, yeah, he was like Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson the way he was just chilling because he was just ready for all the smoke. He wasn't even like moving around.
Starting point is 02:32:28 He wasn't fidgeting. He was sitting there right in front of him, letting him know like, hey. And it was known beef. It was in the same place. 3v1 could have easily got jumped probably would have got jumped if anything popped off and he was just chilling so that's a different level of uh that's a different level of ignorance i ain't going to a lot to you because the 3b1 is insane but um you notice i ain't really talk about music because when it comes to music i mean
Starting point is 02:32:52 i don't even no disrespect to the rest of these artists but nobody's singing like chrisbrow like i don't know like how else i could get it across other than calling him the most talented the artist I've ever seen in life. Whenever this man did like three consecutive back flips and ended on beat, whenever he was doing like a tribute for the BETy Awards, I forget what it was. I think it was maybe a Michael Jackson tribute. This man did like three back flips and landed on beat and then walked off for the end of his performance.
Starting point is 02:33:21 Mind you, he was dancing for like the past 10 to 20 minutes and then he pulled that off. That's one of the many accomplishments. But y'all going to say I'm doing tricks on it. So we're just going to stop. 1111 by Chris Brown should definitely win best R&B album but because of his allegations he should just be glad that he received a nomination like at least he's not on the Morgan Wallin and Nikki Minaj outcast list at least he got a nomination but uh Grammys would be you know what to to have Chris Brown win a Grammy because if it's not off screen I mean only way I can see Chris Brown winning if it's off screen because because it's not off screen I mean only way I can see Chris Brown winning if it's off screen because Because brands and sponsorships completely bring up Chris Brown and Rihanna's situation time and time again. And that is why Chris Brown has certain issues even up to this day. I mean, I think I could find it as far as Chris Brown.
Starting point is 02:34:26 And it was the All-Star game. Chris Brown All-Star. And y'all know he's been at the All-Star game dropping triple doubles, right? Like I said, all-around talent. Chris Brown all-star game and it was a whole debacle because the NBA asked Chris Brown to play in the all-star game only for them to back out because of the sponsors right then Chris Brown let them let his fans know you know he throw no shade at the NBA he was just like I'm not going to be there because of differences or whatever and now the NBA even put out a statement they was like nah we
Starting point is 02:34:56 even invite him in the first place like Chris Brown can't win for losing man I swear to you like to the point where the NBA was lying so heavy, right? Because the NBA came out and the NBA came out and basically said he was not invited. I was trying to find the actual. Let me see. I don't see the statement where they said he wasn't going to play. Oh, yeah, here we go. Okay.
Starting point is 02:35:38 So Ruffles was the brand that supposedly had problems with Chris Brown. Like, you're not having like a top five chip brand. Like, how you got this much power? Anyways. So, no, it wasn't Doritos, wasn't Lays, wasn't Cheetos. Ruffles, out of all chip brands, was talking stuff about not having Chris Brown in an All-Star game. And they put out this trash statement saying,
Starting point is 02:36:07 Ruffles sponsored last night's NBA, All-Star Celebrity Game. I can't read. Ruffles, but no, I did read it right. Ruff was sponsored last night's NBA All-Star celebrity game. However, we did not have any involvement nor visibility to any player decisions or a celebrity invite discussion. And then guess what? And then guess what? This man Chris Brown came with the receipts.
Starting point is 02:36:37 And when I say he came with the receipts, let's pull it up right quick. Because not only is the A1 and everything he does, but he's even an A1 truth teller he put gunna to shame he came with receipts this man said guess what I was asked by the NBA NBA to play an all-star game this year only for them to call and say they couldn't do it because of their sponsors like Ruffles right at this point I'm sick of people bothering me and I'm tired of living in a past I posted the email so y'all can see because of course A1 truth teller um so as you can see right here this is the email right they invited him we wanted them to be we want you to be a part of the experience sent you
Starting point is 02:37:23 the jerseys and everything and then of course now he can't go and then he said on his story and then this is what ruffles put out in response to that so you know ruffles was just hating i don't know what it is about ruffles but hey lucky uh safe to say that chris brown um hopefully will be like the star of the next all-star game because i just don't understand why he's still dealing with certain things when he's already faced the justice system. Rihanna's forgiving him. And so much time has passed to the point where we've seen change behavior
Starting point is 02:37:59 as far as not going back in jail because of doing that. Hopefully that makes sense. Anyways, so best case scenario, I could see Chris Brown winning. Worst case scenario, I could see Grammys pulling of ruffles and saying, you know what? You being Grammy nominated is enough. We're not just going to give you the win. We're not going to give you the win, but basically the nomination is enough.
Starting point is 02:38:23 So I can see them pulling that trick. All right. So best R&B album, I think it should go to Chris Brown. But if it doesn't go to Chris Brown, it should go to Chris Brown. So that should let y'all know where I stand on Chris Brown, right? Best Progressive R&B album. Talk about being progressive, right? Was this flow?
Starting point is 02:38:47 I'm just playing. My fault. All right, you can throw your tomatoes. Um, I don't know any of these. Uh, best, I guess I'm not progressive.
Starting point is 02:38:54 Dang. Uh, best R&B, uh, song. Burning. What type of song is that? No,
Starting point is 02:39:00 I just play a little true. Uh, here we go. Ruin me Saturn. Oh, okay, I know these. Okay,
Starting point is 02:39:07 best R&B. These are kind of weak. I'm not going to lie to you. These are kind of weak. I don't know if it's because I'm not as, I feel like I'll be paying attention to the R&B field, but maybe not as,
Starting point is 02:39:16 because R&B really isn't chart-topping hip-hop other than Siza. That's why Saturn is probably the song that I recognize the most on this nominations list. So I do say because you sell a lot does not equal quality,
Starting point is 02:39:37 but in the case of Siza, I'm not going to lie to you. She consistently puts out heat. So I'm going to go with Saturn. So sorry for the other contestants. I haven't heard any of those tracks. except for burning from Thames. I did hear that track.
Starting point is 02:39:52 And I think I've heard Here We Go by Mooney Long, no, by Coco Jones, but I'm not like, for sure. So I'm gonna go with Saturn. Saturn by Siza. I mean, it's just straightfire, especially the chorus. What should say?
Starting point is 02:40:11 Life's better on Saturn? I feel you. You know what I mean? Sometimes I feel like I can leave Earth, too. You know what I mean? not a bad way though that was a little morbid not not in that way just like as far as
Starting point is 02:40:22 an adventurous way you know like the magic school bus that type of way not the other way uh you're probably like are you okay I just fly I'm right best traditional R&B performance wet
Starting point is 02:40:37 that's how you know that's a traditional R&B this song called wet just straight to the point Marcia Ambrosius I can't pronounce none of that Can I have
Starting point is 02:40:49 this groove by Kenyon Dixon No Lie by Lala Hathaway featuring Michael McDonald
Starting point is 02:40:58 That's a name If I ever heard one Make me forget My Mooney Long This track must be Fired I think I've seen This multiple times
Starting point is 02:41:08 On these lists That's you By Lucky Day Oh and that's it Okay, so we have wet. Can I have this groove? No lie. Make me forget.
Starting point is 02:41:18 And that's you. Now, you know how I call out, you know how I called out your button for basically not being in tune with music, which if you really press him enough, he'll probably just say that. Because usually he backtracks whenever he doesn't have a point to attach to it. Or if he can't gas light, you know what I mean? If you just got him dead to rights, he'll just be like, I was just joking. So now it's like, you know what I mean? Now you got to let it go. But as far as him saying women.
Starting point is 02:41:42 was falling off and he was completely wrong because sexy red and glorilla as far as the modern up-and-coming rappers was the ones putting up the bigger numbers and you see another up-and-coming rapper only up-and-coming rapper really on this list as far as the rap well i guess i already said that is dh. everybody else is established only people who's up-and-coming is dochi and glorilla why do y'all think that is women rappers as far as the up-and-coming rappers have been putting on the hip-hop more than the male rappers when it comes to engagement and analytics. Now, of course, quality level is a whole other discussion with Dochi. It's the flip side, though.
Starting point is 02:42:21 Quality level, she's been, it's been a general consensus that is straight fire. Like, she's the female Kendrick or something like that. I don't even know. Basically, I mean, she's the own person, but you know what I'm saying? Like, as far as lyrically and putting bars together, they say the quality level is through the roof but as far as the charts and what she's sold I don't think she sold that much
Starting point is 02:42:48 let me see which is why I always reiterate just because you sell low doesn't mean you have below average quality it's just you know it's just a limit scale for consumption so let me see do she yeah do she had 11,000 sales first week
Starting point is 02:43:09 so that's why I always say just because you have a low first week sales does not mean you have a low average quality it's just the consumption level the level of anticipation you weren't able to build build up and people just didn't care like that but quality level was still high obviously as she has a Grammy nomination so anyways so it could be so two things could be true as far as you streaming a lot ending up on these nominations like a glowrella and then on the flip side quality level but the streams name may not be as high as far as a doche so women rappers really been putting on as far as the up and coming players and hip-hop so when Joe Biden famously said hold up because I think uh I've said that too many times and I played a clip I think he says over for female rappers I don't know if this is going to pull up uh let me see that was him going at uh Cardi B I think uh B fan Man, I don't think Joe. Let's see what he won't ever get armed. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:44:25 Right. I know. I think that was Cardi B. Oh, yeah, here we go. Oh, yeah, perfect. This is exactly the video I was talking about. All right, so this man is just completely being ignorant as far as not paying attention to the music landscape in the slightest. And this is his take on women rap.
Starting point is 02:44:45 The Drake Kendrick Lamar moment. That's what they need. Because they all hate each other. No, no, they don't. No, slow down. They do all 80s y'all. No, no, but they really stand on business. They don't need that.
Starting point is 02:44:55 That should have get ugly. No, what I mean is Kendrick had to come out and say, yo. All right, let me skip a little bit. What are the record? Everybody and everybody. Once you get the records you need, fire something up, especially if my target is popping. Underground artists.
Starting point is 02:45:14 And then your lot of 60 package, dressing y'all. The girl wave is. The girl wave is over. Yeah, I believe that. Currently, Doshi and Glorilla is the only up-and-coming hip-hop players in the game to have a Grammy nomination. And if you want to go on the objective side of things, sexy red and Glorilla is the only major players consistently throughout the year of 2024 when it comes to the up-and-coming hip-hop rappers. Unless the guys want to claim Tommy Richmond.
Starting point is 02:45:47 I mean, if y'all want the hip-hop version of Ice J-J fish, y'all can have them. disregarding the top dogs in the industry as far as drake kendrick and Travis scott of course and Tyler the creator when it comes to up and coming and new artists girl rappers are running the game and are putting on for hip-hop so this take is just beyond ignorant you said the girl's putting in your lot of the girl wave is over from the label's point of view meaning the label are not finding one of y'all with a little bit of audience getting y'all to BBL or the 360 package. Let's go to, uh,
Starting point is 02:46:25 yeah, y'all get the point, right? I don't really have to keep doing this. I mean, sexy red is literally under, um, Larry Jackson,
Starting point is 02:46:32 who's one of the most powerful industry, uh, one of the most powerful humans in the music industry. So as far as, um, let me see. As far as in sexy we trust is under, I think it's under gamma.
Starting point is 02:46:50 Yeah, rebel slash gamma under Larry. That's Larry Jackson's, label if y'all don't know larry jackson hey it's like dilution grange of like sub not subdivision that's a little disrespectful larry jackson's very powerful let me just put it like that and he invested a lot into sexy red why you think drake's doing all these features with uh sexy red and then you have glowrella she's under um yg i believe yeah CMG slash interscope record so he's just very much talking out of his you know what dressing y'all putting y'all with some real gangster niggas pangas
Starting point is 02:47:24 paying to get you all the record and paying for the rest of it. No, they're not doing that anymore. So anyways, after that ignorant take, let's get back to the Grammy nominees. So, yeah, back to the rap performance. The only up-and-coming rappers are women as far as Doshi and Glovilla. Who would have thunk?
Starting point is 02:47:46 So anyways, yeah, that's why I was, and I said way back then that his take was wrong because Sexy Red and Glovilla was on fire on the charts. I mean, they still, I think they still have some hits on the charts. Let me see. sexy red oh no she doesn't okay so she's done for the year but she still had a phenomenal run glorella still has the top 10 hit with a sticky oh yeah sexy's on that track so technically she's on that track as well uh so they both have are on a top 10 track in the world hit right
Starting point is 02:48:17 glowrella and sexy red i'm tripping i don't know what i type that's what i'm saying every time i type in sexy red that's where i mess it up and there's some crazy stuff uh but it don't pop up but it's like some crazy stuff is about to pop up to where like a little indicator is like oh are you sure you want to search this it's like a safe search feature i'm like this girl got to change your name anyways glorilla and sexy red basically have um the 30th most played track in the world right now right and then uh tgif 36 most played track in the world by glorilla so and then you have i love her the 90 she has a track with t pain okay now uh the 91st most played track in the world and then she has hold on which is the 96 most play track in the world i don't have
Starting point is 02:49:03 to keep letting y'all know that joe bunny was wrong right but it's okay you know he's old you know what mean like at some point somebody has to point it out and just let you know that you know maybe just maybe you're not as in tune in the music field which you know it's okay you know it's okay but the way he just confidently says the the most false things is just like beyond me so anyways i I still watch him, though, because he's entertaining. But, you know, as far as fact check and, you know, analytic dreams, I got to do that. You know, we got to go by the objective stats, you know what I'm saying? Anyways, what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 02:49:38 Okay, so best R&B song goes to Saturn as far as Siza. Best traditional R&B performance. Oh, we already, okay, we already did all these. Where are we at? Best R&B performance, I think that's what we're at. Yeah, because I haven't seen this. Okay. Guidance by Jenea Eko, Residuals by Chris Brown.
Starting point is 02:49:58 here we go by Coco Jones made for me by Mooney Long yeah this track must be made for me oh that's a that's different than making me forget okay anyways this is gonna make me go back to some R&B albums because you know I'm not ashamed to admit I may not be as in tune with some of these R&B acts so I had to listen to them um because I don't think R&B sales as much anymore but you know as far as quality level I wouldn't mind going back and just listening that's another thing while I love going through these nominations be like, oh, let me check out that album. You know, that's another thing that the nominations help as far as up-and-coming artists.
Starting point is 02:50:34 Anyways, and then we have Saturn by Siza. So what I would say is my sentiments on Chris Brown's on Chris Brown have not changed. But to be fair, Janaya Eko is probably the trendsetter when it comes to OG women R&B vocalists as far as the way that she constructs her tracks. If you don't believe me, just listen to any up-and-coming R&B act and listen to them talk about, if they're a woman, listen to them talk about Janette Eko. Like, she really, for all intents and purposes,
Starting point is 02:51:11 has a lot of intuitive approaches to the way she puts songs together to the point where she could arguably be, you know how Nikki be like all these girls are my sons? That's basically what Janaya Eko could say to the up-and-com. R&B acts that are women. So I'm going to go with guidance. Off of that, I'm just going to go with guidance because I've heard guidance, straight fire.
Starting point is 02:51:36 And as far as artists who's deserving, definitely I go to Jenei Aiko. And obviously, I'm a little petty because I just want Big Sean to have a fire lit under him to give us some more energetic deliveries on verses. So maybe he will end up on some type of performance category, right?
Starting point is 02:51:58 Anyways Best Alternative Music Album Okay So now we get into the The experimental side of things, right? So best alternative music album
Starting point is 02:52:13 I don't know Any of these names So we're just going to keep going Best Alternative Music Performance Best Rock album Best Rock song Is Uzi on here?
Starting point is 02:52:25 No, just playing a little chill best metal performance best rock performance you know the amount of experimental music that trippy red uzi and playboy carty put out you would have thought they would have had at least some type of
Starting point is 02:52:40 rock nomination like are they just that garbage when it comes to rock music I don't know people who listen to rock majority at a time would have to let me know best remix recording okay we're going to pass that one
Starting point is 02:52:56 best dance slash electronic album best dance pop recording okay uh i know billy ish and ariana grande's track off of here but i don't know the other one so i can't really speak on this uh best dance electronic no best pop vocal let's see oh okay yeah no this is a good one uh best pop vocal album short and sweet by sabrina Carpenter, Billy Elish, oh no, that's not how it goes. Hit me hard and soft. That is an album title if I ever heard it.
Starting point is 02:53:40 I ain't going to lie to you. You tell you a significant other to hit you hard and soft and they may fall in love. I ain't going to lie to you. That's a phenomenal album title. So, Eternal Sunshine by Ariana Grande.
Starting point is 02:53:55 Chappelle Rowan, the rise and fall of a Midwest princess, another fire title, who is writing these titles for these pop artists? I mean, goodness. And then you have the tortured Poets Department. Now, they're on fire. Whoever writing these titles for these albums, they was in their bag.
Starting point is 02:54:10 I mean, that's some fire. That is, I ain't know why. All of these are kind of promiscuous, but you know, that's whatever. With that being said, best pop of best pop vocal album. What I personally listened to, and yes, I did listen to, I'm not going to say all these albums. I listen to all of these albums except for Chappelle Rowan. So I would have to go with Ariana Grande's, it was all right, Billy Elish.
Starting point is 02:54:42 I'm not going to lie, I really enjoy Taylor Swift album. I'm going to get you back is my favorite track off of that album. Down Bad is a straight vibe. I love the melodies of that track. High school, I love the overall vibe of that track and the melody and the way she attacked it with the chorus. yeah that was off the top a lot of the songs off the torture poet department that I really enjoy so I'll probably say that one I was thinking about Sabrina Carpenter but uh no I had to go to Taylor Swift
Starting point is 02:55:17 Taylor Swift is not leaving without a Grammy I bet you that I bet you that so the Torture Poets Department will probably win best pop vocal album then we have best pop duo slash group performance we have us with gracey abrams featuring taylor swift Levi jeans with uh biance featuring post malone guests by charlie xx uh and billy isleish the boy is mine by ariana grande brandy and monica oh this one is nominated you know it's so funny that's actually one of my favorite uh favorite tracks off of the album
Starting point is 02:55:55 i do love how the background uh vocals and just the layering of the breath and the breathing that mimic the way they did it back in the old school days as far as R&B adlives. Now, to people, I think that's just confusing in general, but for people who really like either understand music or make music, you understand what I'm saying. Like she really mimic that old school breathing pattern and ad libs as far as the second layering verse under her actual verse.
Starting point is 02:56:37 Hopefully that makes sense. So when Brandy and Monica actually hopped on a remix, I mean, it made all the sense in the world. That track is phenomenal. So I don't know. That's a tough one. It does look like it's going to be Taylor Swift versus Beyonce as far as this Grammy Award show.
Starting point is 02:56:57 So as far as politics, I'm not going to lie to you. It's definitely going to be some name recognition over the quality. so oh i did not see die with a smile oh i'm tripping that's probably going to win i ain't going to lie to you lady gaga and bruno mars came out of nowhere in 2024 with a bona fide hit i mean statistically still let me look it's still the third most play yeah it's the second most play track in the world been on the charts for about 12 weeks i could see this one winning i mean obviously
Starting point is 02:57:29 like i keep saying because you because you have high amount of of streams does not mean it's high quality but that track is phenomenal so it's one of those to where like for example a track that has tremendous numbers on the charts that i think i think it's just horrendous is um million dollar baby by tommy richmond i don't know what it is about people loving hip hop from people outside of the culture but didn't get mad and when they say they're not hip hop but the champion of tony richman for him to turn around and say he's not a rapist and he's not a rapist's or he's not hip hop. I'm just looking at y'all who supported him.
Starting point is 02:58:08 And I just want to let y'all know that I told you so. Stop supporting these people outside of the culture who are going to just turn their back as soon as you make their famous. As soon as you make them famous, they're going to turn their back on the culture and not uplifted. Right. And not only that, million dollars baby is trash.
Starting point is 02:58:26 That man sound like Ice J.J. Fish in 2024. Anyways. All right. so back to rossam that's what I'm saying like just because you stream a lot doesn't mean it's high quality but with die with a smile is definitely top tier and bruno mars and lady gaga definitely put out a bona fide hit with that track so i can see die with a smile winning
Starting point is 02:58:48 i think if taylor swift and biontie was to lose it would be the bruno mars bruno mars bruno mars is really like that so um so yeah i know it's probably a hot take because to say that bioncée and taylor with in one category is going to lose, but it can happen if Bruno Mars is going to win. I don't think we need anything else, but if it happens, I think it would be Bruno Mars. Anyways, best pop solo performance. We have bodyguard by Beyonce, Expresso by Sabrina Carpenter, Apple by Charlie XCX, Burrs of a Feather by Billy Elish, and Good Luck Bay by Chappelle Rowan. I can see this going to Sabrina Carpenter. I do believe Sabrina is going to leave out with something.
Starting point is 02:59:34 and I would say best pop solo performance actually she's such a new artist but it is a singular track so going off of my theory she should still be favored for this because Expressa was a hit and I do think quality level it was deserving of that so I don't know birds of a feather
Starting point is 03:00:04 is also a pretty good track I feel like it's between those two I've heard all these tracks but I prefer as far as like me on my own time if I was like to actually listen to it. Expresso I think it's pretty far. I think you should go to Sabrina for best pop solo performance. So then we have, oh, so these are the big categories.
Starting point is 03:00:32 All right. So now they're just showcasing all the credits, right? Because these are the big dog selections. So anyways, the general field, we have Songwriter of the Year. Jesse Alexander Ray Oh this is very interesting
Starting point is 03:00:50 because it actually showcased the top tracks that they wrote for it This is a great list to be on As a songwriter This is something you would like aspire to To be on because this is Basically mean you have the sauce Like you internally have the sauce
Starting point is 03:01:07 And are handing it out to different Superstars in the game So this is a very interesting list to look at as far as the most impressive list on here um this guy wrote river dance river dance was a was a hit
Starting point is 03:01:30 um this man wrote expresso and he wrote please please please and he wrote scared on my guitar oh goodness and he wrote taste oh he just Sabrina Carpenter's writer ain't it I may have to go with Amy.
Starting point is 03:01:54 Oh, no, this man wrote for Carol G. I thought Carol G wrote our own music. Let me see, was it just once? Okay, it was just once. But this was a hit. Now, this, now this right here, to have written this song, that's an analytic dreams video on Spotify, the City video along with the audio,
Starting point is 03:02:12 because I'm highlighting the words. But to have written this, to have wrote this song, pretty significant accomplishment. So I would probably say, Yeah, that's pretty big. Lies, lies, lies. Keith Urban.
Starting point is 03:02:35 Two hearts. Okay, the most impressive from what I've seen just off of pure glance, not glance, but, you know, off of initial evaluation, I would probably say Amy Allen and Ray. It's probably between those two. It's probably between those two.
Starting point is 03:03:02 And I think it should go to Amy. I think Amy having espresso, please, please, please, please and taste. That's just, that's just too much of a resume to not give it to her. So songwriter of the year, I think she'll go to Amy Allen. So yeah. All right. Producer of the year. We have Alyssa, Derniste, D. Mile, a mile.
Starting point is 03:03:27 I don't know. I say what? I don't know if it is. Ian Fichuk. What about these names? Oh, mustard. Yo, isn't it funny? The hip-hop producer has the least amount of credits.
Starting point is 03:03:39 I swear our genre just gets disrespected. Like, where is Metro? Like, who votes on these things? Where is Metro? Metro put out two albums that changed the culture forever. We don't trust you was the straw that broke the camels back to us getting the greatest hip-hop beef, the hip-hop beef of all time. Like, last mustard on here, because he produced not like us. this this faith of a muster see you all i even listen to the album people who voted for this
Starting point is 03:04:15 y'all ain't even listen to the album because all right now i got pull up numbers um you know people be nah y'all didn't even listen to this album i'll remember reporting on this album begging kendrick to please post something about a producer who gave him not like us and nobody cared right DJ Mustard Um Let me see DJ Mustard had Oh wow
Starting point is 03:04:51 18,000 first week I don't even know if it was that I think that's that's pretty hot Because Lotto had like 25,000 first week I believe Um Okay here it is Okay so DJ Mustard sold 17,000 first week
Starting point is 03:05:11 Right So with that being said y'all didn't listen to this album i don't care what y'all saying like the people who's talking about the album being uh so well produced y'all ain't listened to it y'all y'all can convince me that y'all listen to this entire body of work and thought it was like grammy nomination worthy you know what is grammy worthy we don't trust you and we still don't trust you i don't understand the disrespect to metro boom and why is he now on this list so that's you know i get it if not like us was the soul credit i understand but it's not enough for a nomination i don't care like i think you get a
Starting point is 03:05:52 grammy if you make the beat for the record or for the best rap performance because he because of him being a producer on that track i think he will also get a grammy but as far as um producer of the year are y'all insane mustard over metro booming i don't even he's been going at my favorite rapper and I'm still over here co-signed and Metro booming. This is insane. Who's voting on this?
Starting point is 03:06:21 I got to know, man. You know how, I don't want to get too political, but you know how they talk about voter IDs? We need to start seeing some of y'all resumes, man, because this is insane. Like, it's, why is Mustard over Metro?
Starting point is 03:06:33 That's all I want to know. Not even no disrespect to Metro. Disrespect of Mustard. As, I'm not going to lie. Mustard would probably say he had a better year than Metro, simply off of not like us being probably the most successful hip-hop.
Starting point is 03:06:46 this track of all time but in totality i don't know not like us did did put up numbers but to have the album on here and another song like come on now like if you're gonna nominate him just say it was for not like us like we want to be mad like forget it like not like us is that big to where if it's just that that that's his only reason for being on here that would be okay but to have the album to have parking lot on here y'all ain't listen to any of those things so stop stop stop the cap would be lucey stop the so um yeah i don't know why this didn't go to uh metro booming like this like i may not go to him but i don't know why he's not on this list anyways because that threw me all the way off i was like mustard mustard over metro anyways um all right so produce like the year alicia i don't know
Starting point is 03:07:41 any of these uh derniste i don't know any of these in fitchuk don't know any of these mustard negro daniel negro uh man i'm a child imagine a dude named negro writing for olivia rodrigo i think he has to win simply off that i mean he just be racism to his highest degree like as far as having a name like that is still being a allowed to to write for for you know what i'm saying because you already know that it's probably like you're gonna let who write for you actually Actually, it's probably up the alley. Anyways, let me get off that topic.
Starting point is 03:08:24 All jokes aside, Daniel writing for Olivia Rodriguez, it's a pretty big deal, I think. And also he wrote the Hager Games, one of the soundtracks from that. And he wrote, oh yeah, and he, I forget, I keep saying, right? He's producing for those,
Starting point is 03:08:44 and it also produces Chappelle Rowan, the rise and fall of the Midwest Princess. So I think Daniel should win this. Yeah, Daniel, would probably witness. All right. Best new artists. Now this is when things get dicey.
Starting point is 03:09:02 Because now we have to talk about politics. Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doshi. I can't pronounce that. How you pronounce it? Hold up. Let me see if I can. Have the AI read this off. Five.
Starting point is 03:09:24 All right. That's not. I wasn't even remotely would I highlight it. But whatever. um i'm just gonna try to pronounce it karoo enning bin karung bin yeah i'll probably completely bushed at i apologize i swear i'm not trying to be funny i just couldn't get it right then you have ray then you have chapelle rowan then you have shibuzzi and then you have teddy swims hmm best new artist is definitely going to subrina carpenter i'm sorry to let y'all know and to spent short but politics wise Sabrina Carpenter's going to get this for the simple fact that
Starting point is 03:10:06 multiple of her tracks have already been nominated for a Grammy if you noticed Shibuzzi really has only received one nomination that's for a bar song they haven't really been putting any respect on this album so Sabrina Carpenter's gonna win this by far so best new artist is going to Sabrina Carpenter song of the year not going another politics choice for the simple fact that this is the big four right a bar song well you see the list i've already read them off the only new one is uh fortnight by taylor swift and post malone and that's the only new one okay so that man said as you can see right here the song of the year is bar i'm just going to read it all for the people listening uh but you should be watching along
Starting point is 03:10:54 with uh analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio of the year a bar song birds of a feather die with a smile fortnight good luck babe not like us please please please and texas hold them now song of the year should be a bar song by shibuzi i'm not gonna lie to you it's not close so nothing else should beat that at all politics-wise I could see Song of the Year Actually man forget that Man bar songs should get it by far
Starting point is 03:11:39 I'm sorry Like Everybody at the bar is getting tipsy You know what I'm saying Give this man the awards He deserved For making a undeniable classic Body of Work
Starting point is 03:11:52 And also an undeniable hit With the track of bar song I'm not even going to say Well I think the political choice would be, but I do, I'm at to say it anyways. I do think it would be between Taylor Swift and Beyonce. I think that's shaping up to be Taylor Swift, not versus Beyonce, because they're both on good terms, but as far as the Grammys, they're going to make that happen because people love controversy. So that being said, I think, I think politics-wise they're going to either
Starting point is 03:12:20 choose Beyonce or Taylor Swift. I think it should go to Shibuzi. All right, so album of the year, Now, this is when things get beyond interesting. What in the world is Andre 3000 doing on this list? Am I on earth too? Did I not experience the same year that these voters experienced? Where in the world where people saying Andre 3000s flew out? Hold up. Y'all don't even, because y'all don't think he was rapping.
Starting point is 03:13:02 Y'all going to think I'm disrespecting this man's rapping ability. Let me just look this up right quick. because I don't think y'all understand how egregious this is. New Blue Sun, an album by Andre 3000, right? This album is solely flute. Once again, this album is solely flute. There's no rapping. There's no ASMR spoken word.
Starting point is 03:13:35 This album is entirely flute. Woodwinds, particularly various types of flutes. There's no way on God's Green Earth that an album entirely of flutes is a nominee for album of the year. All right. So, Andre 3000, sort of similar to my Jermaine take on Best Rap album, just is very unnoticed. deserving of being on this list. Like, it's probably one of the worst nominations for album of the year that we've ever received in their Grammys.
Starting point is 03:14:25 And I'm being so serious. An album consistently of, of only flutes. All right. I don't think y'all, I don't think y'all understand. I don't think you understand. Y'all, y'all got to listen to the album. Y'all got to listen to the album to see how egregious this is. This is different.
Starting point is 03:14:45 This is different. Shout to Jay-Z though, man. Whatever. Cowboy Carter, I don't even know if you're under Jay-Z. I'm just giving I'm throwing all the type of, well, Jermaine is, but I don't know about Andre. I'm, I don't know who he under, probably himself. To be so iconic that you can just completely just give up on rap, put out an album consistently of flutes and still get a Grammy nomination, like, I mean, just spit on hip-hop at this point. I mean, just tell us, you know, it's raining, just, you know, do your thing. I mean, at this point, the type of disrespect is insane. These artists just do
Starting point is 03:15:20 whatever they want and people just still give them Grammy nominations um all right cowboy carter by biance definitely deserving short and sweet by Sabrina carpenter beyond deserving brat by charlie xx uh the jay the jesse volume four by jacob collier hit me hard and soft i don't know why that album title so far by billy ilish chapelle rowin the rise and fall of a Midwest princess and then you have the tortured poet's department by taylor swift okay so politic decision album of the year is definitely going to biancy there's a reason why i played the clip that j z was going off as far as um complaining about j z about biance never getting Hold up. It's right here.
Starting point is 03:16:22 To quote Sean Carter, the most Grammy's never won album of the year. How does that work? How about that? The most Grammys never won an album of the year. That doesn't work. To quote Sean Carter, the most Grammy nominations never won album of the year. How does that work? That was just last award show. She's up again for Album of the Year. Y'all let me know who. Come on now. at this point y'all should know j z is a mastermind manipulator this man knows what he's doing bianca's gonna win it's not even close so um i think that's why they threw andre on here they probably just started off with hey we know bioncy's going to win this award let's just throw some other names on here
Starting point is 03:17:09 so this is the one award as far as the big for that i'm the possibility or the percentage i think it's the highest for bionc to walk away with she doesn't win any award she's definitely winning this one so anyways um yeah album of the year is definitely going to cowboy carty simply off politics and off of what j z says i'm sorry he just has that type of power one man is doing 10 years in prison right now because of jz's team and the in the way they're able to spend the narrative so um with that being said record of the year this is a good one and surprisingly the beatles on here when the world when they start releasing music hold up now the Beatles
Starting point is 03:17:51 am I out of the loop when they put out a track all right let me see the Beatles is it the remaster if it's a remaster if it's a remaster
Starting point is 03:18:12 now and then okay it seems like it's a new track there's a whole new track drop November 2nd 2023 hold up I don't remember even seeing this I does not come across my timeline come on now
Starting point is 03:18:25 you know I like the Beatles Lucy and the sky with diamonds Come on now The Beatles Did I spell that right? I think I did I don't see it's not Trarton I guess Yeah
Starting point is 03:18:37 I guess it just completely skipped my radar But anyways It's on here So I can't really say anything about the Beatles I mean the Beatles speak for itself I mean it's one of the greatest One of the reasons I even got into rock band It was because of the famous song
Starting point is 03:18:49 From the Beatles Lucy and the Sky with Diamond So like come on now Like they really be putting out top tier music when it comes to just overall music production in general. Anyways, record of the year, Texas Hold'em, Expresso, what's the difference between record of the year or song of the year? Wait, hold up. I really need to know that. Okay, so record of the year
Starting point is 03:19:11 awards who the artists and to the producers, recording engineers, and or mixers, mastering engineers if other than the artist. Okay. and then song of the year is a songwriter's award a song is eligible oh hold on now so does that mean let me type this in does that mean that rap performance um muster may not be able to get an award for that uh it doesn't say it doesn't say okay that's how you know it's a big four award they these don't have any type of stipulations who all gets the award but you get up here to the to the big four like i kept saying and it gets all type of stipulations award to the artist producers record uh
Starting point is 03:20:00 recording engineers, mixtures, mastering engineers, and then you come down to the song, it's like, songwriters eligible for the artist's names that appear in parentheses. So I think it's for the writers and the artist. Well, it literally says the songwriters. So yeah, that's the difference. For those who wanted to know the difference between record a year versus song of the year, pretty sure the producer would rather have record of the year. and the songwriter would probably rather have song at ear. So anyways
Starting point is 03:20:31 now and then by the Beatles then you have Texas Holtem by Beyonce Expresso by Sabrina Carpenter 360 by Charlie XX Birds of a Feather
Starting point is 03:20:47 by Billy Elish Not Like Us by Kendrick Kumar Good Luck Babe by Chappelle Rowan and Fortnite by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone.
Starting point is 03:21:04 Grammys, the Grammys, the 67th Grammy Award show that's set to take place February 2nd, 2025, has the chance to do something that's beyond hysterical. If they don't, well, rap performance, you have to give it to not like us. But if they end up giving White Tink Top record of the year, but not like us, that would be the most degrading thing that they do as far as the hip hop feel. Because now people are going to look at hip hop as only being the highest quality when we're tearing down another hip hop musician. I know y'all are going to be saying, oh, you're on your soapbox, you preach into the choir, something like that. I don't think it's preaching to the choir. but you're going to say you preach and I ain't trying to hear that right yeah not you
Starting point is 03:22:05 come here for a sermon that's probably what y'all said but let me tell you something irreversible irrevocable damage will happen if not like us wins record of the year because now the Grammys has set a stamp a stamp a bar that the only way a hip-hop musician could like hold on how many rap songs have ever won record a year like let's really like get into it because I think let's just do nominations as far as how many hip-hop records have
Starting point is 03:22:39 been nominated or one record of the year because it can't be a lot there's just no way okay so MC Hammer in 1991 with You Can't Touch This Eminem with Lose Yourself in 2004 Outcast with Hayah
Starting point is 03:23:03 in 2004 Kanye was oh my goodness he had multiple gold digger 2006 stronger in 2008 all of the lights in 2012 this is why we call Kanye overall in totality engineer and rapping considered the goat of hip-hop anyways uh jZ for 99 problems and back in 2004 hey they've had some this is a pretty good list and it's pretty good list but you know still forget them for what they did the DMX if you know you know um empire state of my um empire state of mine back in 2010 and then Childish Gambino for This Is America back in 2019, which actually
Starting point is 03:23:41 won the category. Okay. So the only win ever was This Is America by Childish Gambino. Okay. So I'll take that back. I mean, that balances it out. Well, hold up. You telling me a song that started off as a Drake disc track. Y'all going to think I'm, y'all going to think I'm caping. Hold on. Let me pull this up because, yo, there's no way. I just put two and two together. I was like, hold on now. Wait, wait, one second. Wait one second.
Starting point is 03:24:16 I got to play this clip now because y'all going to think I'm making this up. Started as a joke. All right. My fault for it being so loud. To be completely. Now, we're going to put this on full screen because I don't want y'all to think I'm just being a Drake stand. If they give, I'm doing the science right now. For the song started as a joke.
Starting point is 03:24:34 To be completely honest. like, this is America. Like, that was all we had was like that line. This is America. Don't got you slipping on. Look how I'm living off. And it started as a Drake disc. So forget that bar.
Starting point is 03:25:06 Let's talk about how the Grammy's about to set a precedent that the only way you can win record of the year as a hip-hop musician, as a hip-hop record, is if you dis Drake. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm done with the Grammys. I ain't going to lie to you. Now, of course, not. like us has you know technically it hasn't won the award but all i'm saying is the 67th
Starting point is 03:25:31 the grammy award show set to take place on february 2nd 2025 has an opportunity to make the most hilarious decision of all time what in the world are we going to do with our genre if the only way we get record of the year is to dis that canadian and with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media's what did you think about this breakdown of the Grammy nominations because of course like I kept saying I covered this music landscape for this entire year so I think I was a you know very qualified to talk about a lot of different categories and of course the ones I didn't know I skipped but as far as this informative segment very lengthy pause no ditty but overall what was your biggest
Starting point is 03:26:18 takeaway from the breakdown of the 67th annual Grammy nominations And what was your favorite nominee? And also, who do you think is going to end up winning the most Grammys when the 67th Grammy Awards take place on February 2nd, 2025?
