Now, how in the world did a game that came out November 21st, 2010? In 2025, it is currently the top selling game on Nintendo. Now, of course, the game I'm particularly talking about is, of course, Donkey Kong returns HD, as this game did initially come out November 21st, 2010 for the Nintendo Week, developed by retro studios and published by Nintendo. But if you don't know, this is the fourth game in the Donkey Kong country series. Because of course, when it comes to Mario and his cast of just his overall storyline and their own storylines, it tends to have a lot of success because of the popular IP.

Because if you don't know, Mario and then a branch of Luigi's Mansion. And of course, you have the Donkey Kong series in itself being very immensely popular. As when it comes to the return of Donkey Kong country, basically, January 16, 2025 is when the Nintendo's switch version came out. So if there's any confusion on how 2010 game is now currently the top selling game on Nintendo, well, now you have it. Well, there you have it. because of course when it comes to different platforms as far as the Nintendo Wii as as the Nintendo 3DS which this game came out on May 24th of 2013 and of course when the

Nintendo Switch version came out January 16th of 2025 you come to realize that this is a very pivotal game in a Nintendo legacy because of the fact that it has so much longevity and very comparable to just Mario in itself because if you don't know Mario currently has two games in the top five. I mean, you don't need me to tell you time and time again that Mario literally saved gaming to the point where now Mario may just be the flagship character when it comes to video game industry and saving it and also dominating his own platform. Mario is probably one of the more pivotal characters ever in video game history. So with that out the way, Donkey Kong Country returns HD.

is topping the charts right now as when it comes to, um, when it comes to reception, there's been a lot of high scores as IGN gave it a nine out of 10. Game Informer gave it a 9.5 out of 10. GameSpot gave it an 8.5 out of 10. And some of the tip is that these conglomerates are saying is basically, the game has exquisite level design.

And of course with the high difficulty, it makes it even more pivotal to learn. the mechanics but they did state that is nothing of a standout performer compared to um the previous donkey con games so when it comes to the brilliant art design and then of course the level designs that is basically what nintendo is known for it i don't know what other platform as far as as ps5 xbox or pc i don't know if they could ever compete with the high level platforming that Nintendo gives the gaming community time and time again because of course right now astrobot is by far in a way the best platformer that's released in the past two years to the point where

people are comparing astrobot to mario isn't that crazy so even when you do come out with a phenomenal platformer people automatically go to the comparisons of if your game is as good or even better than mario which of course I still think Mario's better but I do believe there's a discussion for Astrobot being up there as far as the goat platformers because of the developers basically be an ex-Nitendo developer so they kind of know a thing or two about making platforms and when it comes to that of course when it comes to the full price that received a lot of backlash because if you don't know whenever you're putting out a remaster usually you don't want to sell it at the same $70

price tag or even $60 price tag they used to be the norm but for this donkey con country HD switch port they chose to make it the full price which a lot of people were upset about and comparisons to tropical freeze that was the counter argument because that launched at $50 on the switch so i don't know what those $10 is going to do for the masses but hey they were upset that donkey con country came out at a full price tag under the switchport so it's basically another remaster a lot of nintendo fanatics they basically want not an not more of an original title but they don't want to see rematchers time and time and time again because nintendo has so many ipes under their legacy that they just completely neglect to either put out another smash bros to put out another mario game because of course like

I said, Mario just completely carries the Nintendo brand and of course the video game brand. So with that being said, they focus a lot on Mario, but there's a lot of IPs that Nintendo have to where they can end up dominating the space not only with Mario, but with other IPs. I mean, obviously you have Zelda as far as one of the other popular IPs. but as far as the i'm trying to see i'm trying to see what other i ps they have besides mario and zelda because i know there's a lot as far as stuff they haven't even in touch so they have mario of course the face of um nintendo and then you have pokem i can't forget pokem on how pivotal they are to the point where i believe pokem go is still one of the top selling mobile games in the world

currently so as far as the actual position it is okay So currently it's actually the most popular mobile game on the platform. It changes all the time, of course, because it's a mobile platform. But right now, Pokemon Go is the most popular. So you have Mario, you have Pokemon, you have Legend of Zelda, of course. You have Animal Crossing. You have Splatoon, which I don't know, what's the last time we've received a Splatoon game? Because if you really think about it, the reason why I'm diving into these different Nintendo IPs is because I don't know if you're heard.

But the Nintendo Switch 2 is about to come out, which, you know, if you want to hear my... my coverage of that just type in Nintendo Switch analytic dreams with the Z and it should pop up on whatever platform you listen to podcasts on. So with that being stated, I just wanted to let y'all know that they also have Kirby, Metroid, Fire Emblem, and I do believe I saw Metroid on here. So it's not like people don't, it's not like people are tired of Metroid because Splatoon 3 is the 16th most play game on the switch. And I don't see Metroid anywhere on here.

Okay, so maybe you are, maybe people are tired of Metroid. But of course, Minecraft is the fifth most play game on a platform. You don't need me to go through all the popular games currently on the platform just to let you know that they have a lot of IP that they're just put into the wayside. I mean, they have Fire Emblem. I think I already said Kirby. Metroid. And of course, Donkey Kong, what we're covering right now, which is, you know, even though it just came out, it's still very impressive to top the charts as far as the Nintendo Switch platform. because Mario is usually number one.

And if you want to know the top five, it's Donkey Kong Returns HD, is Super Mario Party Jamboree, which I cover that as well. Mario Car 8 Deluxe, Urban Legend Dismantling Center. What in the world? And then fifth, rounding off the top five is Minecraft.

So when it comes to fans winning an original title, I think that's just a testament to the way of Nintendo, basically heavily, leaning on their top five IP to carry the brand, which is not a bad move. It's definitely a safe bet. But when it comes to safe, I think a lot more fans will appreciate if they went outside the box and basically came out with a revolutionary title as far as one of their previous IPs being neglected, right?

Because Pokemon found themselves in a very interesting situation where when Power World came out, pun intended, it took over the world. Power world was putting up monumental numbers breaking all type of records and of course as of right now It's nowhere to be found but that did not stop Nintendo for basically suing the pants off of I think it's pocket pair that develops power let me see who develops power yeah pocket pair so Nintendo sued pocket pair because of their claims of copying character designs the whole caption and character designs the whole captioned and a monster with a ball type mechanic like it was they was wilding with the in the lawsuit like i remember covering that as well as far as uh pocket pair versus nintendo because that was a very huge deal

because if you don't know power was putting up numbers to the point where people was thinking this was going to be the successor to the point where the next Pokemon would have had to copy um power world's overall mechanics as far as the i think it was more of a i forget what you actually call it. But it's more of a survival game than it was just capturing monsters and battling people like it was a survival game along with the Pokemon mechanic. So that's why it was so pivotal. And when Nintendo, yeah, they sued pocket pair back in October 22nd, 2024. That's why I covered it. And basically, I don't know what's going to come about that lawsuit, but let's just say power was already down and now Nintendo's just basically, uh,

trying to put put it to bed that they would never be competitors with Pokemon because of their accusations of copying them so back to this donkey con game so when it comes to a resolution of course it runs 1080 60 frames per second the loading times of 10 to 15 seconds longer than the whee's 5 to 7 seconds that's pivotal to point out because of course if you use the new hardware you would think that the loading times would be shorter but i guess not so new features include a modern mode which is easier difficulty with extra hearts and items includes the 3d s exclusive cloud world levels there's no online online co-op there's local multiplayer only which is always a common complaint for nintendo players out there and then of course when it comes to the broader

statistics of this particular video game. It was the best selling in January 2025. No, Call of Duty, Blackop Six was the bestselling. But as far as on Nintendo, it was the bestselling game to come out for last month. So when it comes to success, even though it didn't have a lot of hype, people are still enjoying the game. They do criticize it for, of course, the full price point, like I was saying. But overall, when it comes to Switch's late generation phase, I don't know if

if they would have benefited from waiting to, uh, waiting till the Nintendo Switch 2 came out to release this game or I don't know if they're just trying to get this game out the way so they could put out new Mario or Zelda game because of course with the Switch 2 coming out, there's probably going to be a new port for this, uh, Donkey Kong game. And I would probably assume that they were going to just remaster it again and put it out on a Nintendo Switch 2 instead of making a, you know, a unique donkey con game or just a new donkey con game that the fans are clamoring for so but all that being stated is still the top selling game on nintendo and when it comes to physical copies alone it's secured its number eight ranking as a Nintendo don't actually disclose digital sales but

under uh circana data that's basically why i get all my analytics from and that's where they was basically saying that's doing pretty good on a nintendo platform even from a physical copy standpoint so it's not too much again too besides that so click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about donkey con country returns HD and at the end of the day what IP would you like to see Nintendo bring back to the Nintendo switch two now pains me to bring y'all this story because of course i believe that what net ease has done with marvel rivals will go down and in the history, well, go down in history as being one of the most pivotal changes in the video

game landscape. Not only because of Overwatch 2 just being a tremendous flop to the point where it left the flood gets open for a mobile to come in and dominate the space, but the way that NetE's not only came in and dominated the mobile, moba space, but also reinvigorated the comic book fans to the point where a lot of these different costumes and things of that nature as far as not even costumes, characters, they're going back to the original comics to read more and to learn more about these characters because from the Mova fan base, from the Marvel fan base, they've combined to make one of the most popular games in the world as Marvel rivals is still the fourth most play game on the Steam platform with 214,000 players,

concurrent and a 24-hour peak of 437,000. Now, of course, on PlayStation, Marvel Rivals is the fourth most played game on a PlayStation platform. And when it comes to mobile games, even Mark, Marvel Contest of Champions is still going crazy. So shout out to Marvel Contest of Champions. But with that being said, Marvel Rivals has announced something that we have to cover because it pains me that it pains me that I have to give negative sentiments towards net ease, but it has to happen. As if you don't know,

all those metrics I just read off, the increasing amount of revenue that they have generated from this live service game did not stop them from laying off its entire, Seattle-based team that was working on Marvel rivals. So despite the game's success, guess what? They had to cut the entire Seattle-based team that was working on Marvel rivals. Saddened history.

But of course, this was such a big story that the CEO came out, and he basically said that NetE's considered canceling Marvel rivals entirely due to the licensing costs with Disney. So I guess Disney was taxing them to the point where now, They may have, if they never released the game, I don't know if we could have lived with what we would have seen as far as the pre-alpha or the beta footage. If that would have came out and they would have announced that the game's not coming out because it costs too much to use Spider-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man. I don't know what we would have did with ourselves because this game is absolutely phenomenal. And I think the gamers would probably riot if they ever take this away from us.

So I'll put that out the way. NetE's specifically cut a lot of jobs in multiple overseas studios, including visions of mana and untold worlds. And then the future of Japanese studio funding as far as Toshihiro, Negoti's team is being pulled, and then the Jachalyptic Games, Warhammer MMO, that remains active, but net ease may divest more overseas assets. So it's very interesting how when you get to the future overall impact of Marvel rivals, it's going to be making net ease a lot of revenue in a foreseeable future.

But to coincide with that, they're laying off everybody and the mama, while the CEO is just out here basically saying that, hey, we was going to cancel the whole game entirely, so y'all deal with it. Like, I don't want to hear anything about us cutting specific teams that was working on Marvel rivals because we was about to cancel the entire game like Disney charging us an arm in the leg to use Spider-Man uh captain america and all these other uh popular superheroes so with that being said in all honesty i would say this is a big deal but i think they're basically knowing how much workload is going to be needed in the future and they're probably letting the other teams go because because they want to focus more on their in-house studios.

I think it's not as much of a big deal, but because of me covering Bob Iiger in the way I did, as far as Disney laying off 7,000 plus employees and then wanting the estimated cost they was going to cut was $7.3 billion. So that was the target goal of the expenses they wanted to cut. But now you add that to the point where, well, now you add that Bob Iger received a 30% increase,

is from 2023 to 24 as far as his compensation. And I just don't add up. How are you cutting everybody in the mama? But the CEO's getting raised. So when that ease is out here cutting everybody in the mama and the CEOs out here like, hey, we were just going to cancel the whole game entirely. It's almost like, we don't care about, brother.

Why are you cutting these teams when Marvel rivals is making a crazy amount of revenue? I ask me that because I seemingly, well, I still can't cut. come up with a reason to why they would cut teams other than wanting more in-house studios in Japan as far as not having it overseas. Maybe it's a work employee cost. Maybe it's like the payroll is exorbitant compared to their in-house studios.

I don't know what it is, but it's very peculiar that you would have one of the top selling games in the world currently and then announce layoffs. It just doesn't make sense to me. So, as far as recent updates, I don't know if I've covered this. Actually, I did. I remember covering it was actually leaked updates about Barber rivals. But basically, the official update is out now. Obviously, it adds the human torch and the thing.

And the main thing about that is there's a new Central Park map featuring Dracula and, of course, Blade. He's locked up on Black History Month. That's kind of crazy. But there's a lot of quality of life changes in general. there was no rank reset so whatever rank you had at the end of the midseason you will keep for the continuance of the of that particular season and there's new rewards and updated matchmaking system they always say that um that's another thing I would go on my soapbox because I don't know if y'all know which you should make sure click my link to your bio follow me on my uh social media it's because

Even some of the pro players have started to point out the mashmaking system is trying to do the best it can to just keep you on the game versus giving you just random odds. And what I mean by that is there's whole videos and documentaries out there, not documentaries, but basically conspiracy theories are out there saying that every time you win and let's say you put up a phenomenal performance, they're going to put you with some trash players to balance it out, right? Which I think it should just be random, but if it comes out that every system is using

that, like imagine if Call the Duty was using that or if other games is using it and that ease is the only one being pointed out for it. I feel like that would be pretty interesting. So, but that is a huge deal that's happening right now. People are calling out NetE's matchmaking service to keep you on the game rather than giving you fair, uh, fair odds as far as in every match. So that's basically it. It wasn't too much again to just know that NetEase is laying off everybody in the mama while

And what do you think is the main reason for all of these layoffs from net ease?

You don't need me to tell you that Disney versus the consumers has been ongoing for quite some time now, as not only did they lay off an estimate, an estimated amount of 7,000, jobs since 2023. But to add on to that, Bob Eiger's 2024 compensation was set to be 41.1 million, which is a 30% increase from the 31.6 million in 2023. So you're laying off a ton of employees while the CEO is getting a raise. Ladies and gentlemen, not to sound like childish Gambino. But this is unequivocally America. So that being said, y'all probably are wondering, what in the world does this have to do with gaming?

Well, I'm glad you asked. As laying off this many people will ultimately shrink Disney's creative pool, right? But the main thing to know is that when it comes to gaming staff and all these other high-profile talents like Sam Ponder, Robert Griffin, the 3rd. Zach Lowe getting laid off because of budget constraints, it will lead to less creativity overall because now you have less people under the payroll. Because when it comes to the marketing strategy, it also adds on to that as licensing over innovation is what they're pivoting towards when it comes to prioritizing licensing deals such as Star Wars Jedi with EA over in-house gaming limiting a lot of different IPs under disney like primarily not the ones that they've

acquired the star wars marvels the one that they own is very limiting for those uh franchises to get some any type of uh titles announced for those particular characters so now when you're focusing on star wars and marvel it's very poor optics to lay off this many people while your CEO is getting a raise because when it comes to um Layoffs versus Iger's 523,000 air travel perk that obviously hurt the fan support for games like Marvel's Avengers and boosting competitors because when you look at brand backlash, when you look at the optics of your CEO getting a raise while 7,000 people are getting laid off, it's probably not as positive as you would think as far as the masses, right? So when you're getting into overall public perception, that's the main thing I wanted to get. across because this is inevitably going to hurt the gaming industry uh disney insists that igers pay increase is unrelated to layoffs even though it came right after the layoffs but you know that's a discussion

for another day so when talking about disney we have to get into the iPs that they own and now currently making or generating revenue for them so i would say that marvel rivals is of course under the Disney umbrella because Disney owns Marvel, Marvel licensed the IP to net ease to make a mobile game out of and now is one of the more popular games in the world. So now when we're about to transition from Bob Iger getting a pay increase due to the fact that they lay off so many people and if you don't know, from a totality standpoint, Disney was trying to cut 7.5 billion in expenses. But Bob Iger's compensation wasn't impacted in the slightest.

So very interesting just to point out for the message so you know what's going on behind the scenes as far as these smoking mirrors they try to play in front of your face and act like, oh, it's not because of the layoffs. It's not like we just cut 7.3 billion in expenses and it gave a raise to our CEO that has no correlation right so now after listening to the segment if they ever say something like that you automatically know that they're lying they're lying right to your face so um it's very disrespectful if you ask me anyways uh disney uh along with prioritize prioritizing licensing deals like star wars Jedi with EA that makes me believe that whenever the third edition of cal Kestis storyline

it would have to be in-game level storyline because of them going all in not on only him but you know of course other star wars adaptions but cowcester specifically i think is one of the best creations that they've made star wars wise in the past two to three years right so now you have to put a lot of emphasis on that of course you have the mandolian uh i don't know how currently i don't know how that show is doing from the first season people was acting like it was the greatest thing since light spread but ever since then i ain't really heard too much about it but of course with calcester storyline you've been hearing it time and time again to the point where when the third iteration comes out people are automatically assuming that once they're done with that storyline he's going to pop up in live action i think that's a very um strategic move on disney's part if they end up going that route but of course we never know they may end up cutting calcaster's actor himself right because of all these uh layoffs so if you don't know it's it's much it's more more of an industry trend just to i don't want to put all the blame on disney it's definitely

industry trend a lot of these industry are cutting layoffs don't know are cutting off employees to save more money basically because Microsoft had around 1900 cuts and this whole deal is basically just normalizing the way that the the american industry works as far as a corporate industry and them cutting you whenever they see fit this is how it happens they cut you and the CEOs get a race which is why when it comes to the overall landscape a lot of people don't have positive perceptions when it comes to these CEOs and multi a million dollar salaries that stay untouched while the working class citizen living check to check is getting cut like they don't even matter right so um if you want to break down bob iager's full compensation right because i think that's

i love pocket watch it and this is like one of my favorite favorite things to do as far as figuring out who is making what right Bob Iger was making 31.6 million dollars in 2023 and they received the 30% increase going to 41.1 million of course in 2024 and when you think about it we have the whole entire breakdown of a salary so the base salary is one million which has been unchanged right his stock awards are 18.25. million stock options he has 12 million and of course the incentive plan compensation is 7.22 million and then the pension and deferred earnings are 495,000 and of course other compensations are in likes of 2.15 million including personal air travel which is 523,000 and then security

cost which is 1.4 million so safe to say that they are taking care of who they want to take care of and laying off who they believe have no more value to give to the company, which is just a shame in the broader landscape of things because of how the world currently is with people living check to check while the prices of eggs and things that nature is rising. So even with the aim to cut $7.5 billion in expenses and not even impacting. CEO Bob Iger's compensation. I think that's the main thing to point out. And in the gaming industry, it would just lead to less of a creative pool

when you come to a totality of people trying to come up with what game they think the masses will like from Disney. So overall, that's how I believe it will affect the gaming industry, but I wonder what y'all think about it. So click my link, sure of my bio, let me know in one of my social medias.

What do you think about Disney cutting off over 7,000 employees while Bob Iger received an increase in pay. You know, whenever speaking about Sean Carter, aka JZ, you have to realize that we are talking about one of the most powerful people in the music industry. Not only just in hip-hop, but just the music industry. Now, the reason why I say this is because in 2024 at the Grammy Award show,

this man acknowledged the fact that Beyonce was the most nominated at the Grammy Award show, but never won album of the year. And subsequently, the following year, guess what award Beyonce won this year at the Grammy Award show? Now I'm not saying that she won Al-Mud a year award after Jay-Z pointed out that she didn't have one. I'm just saying that she won Al-Muddy-Year Award after Jay-Z pointed out that she didn't have one. So, you know, it's safe to say that he's probably the most powerful, one of the most powerful influences in the music industry. Now, with that being said, also one of the high-sendomers,

highlight something else that I doubt a lot of publications are going to highlight because of course the lies are more entertaining than the actual truth. But when it comes to the 2000 lawsuit, where Jay-Z was accused of forcing himself upon a 13-year-old girl, just know that entire case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. And Jay-Z claims he He never settled or paid anything. That is very important to know because if you don't know, when it comes to these lawsuits, I've heard time and time again,

especially how common it is whenever they're looking for a certain settlement number. Because if you sue a high profile celebrity, and if they just want the story to go away, they'll basically give you an upfront settlement so that at the end of the day, it won't end up in bad press for whatever celebrity they're particularly suing. So when Jay-Z made it clear that this case was dismissed with prejudice, but not only that, Jay-Z never settled or paid anything, I think that is a phenomenal W. And pun intended, he is setting the blueprint for how to handle these situations going forward. Now, of course, addressing the elephant in the room, let's just look this up right quick. It's probably not going to be right.

But addressing the elephant in the room, JZ is reportedly worth $2.5 billion. So it's half to say he has certain resources that you probably don't have. So as far as the blueprint and showcasing how to get around these type of lawsuits, especially if they don't hold any validity, but they're looking for a settlement. I think Jay-Z showed a simplistic blueprint of how to come at these type of allegations, but at the same time, you have to realize that Jay-Z's network is probably one of the few that is hard to replicate, right? So he's going to have resources and accessibility to things that we probably don't have.

But the main thing I wanted to get at was Jay-Z being clear of the allegations that was set upon him by Tony Busby. with that being stated that's a very pivotal W for Jay Z I'm pretty sure he was dealing with a lot of turmoil behind the scenes due to this lawsuit and so with these being denied

and him not having to pay out or have any type of settlement I think that's just a huge W on Jay Z's part now for this particular segment we are getting into a lawsuit that is basically Patel versus Dorsey what does that mean

well Block Inc which Jay Z is a member of it was formerly Square and it was named and a shareholder lawsuit alleging that the company allowed its platforms Cash App Square

to be used for illegal activities like money laundering sex trafficking drug trafficking and more. So this lawsuit is pretty important as far as in Jay Z's career trying to get

around this lawsuit. So not only did he just get off the battle, get off the battlefield with the Tony Busby lawsuit. And now he has another lawsuit that's going at not only Jay-Z, but the entire block and corporation formerly known as Square. So this lawsuit claims that the company failed to implement proper security and compliance measures, allegedly inflating user metrics and allowing criminal activity. of gaming question mark so that being said of course when it comes to the overview of the episode the reason why it's titled the way it's titled like i said in the intro is because i had my first ever full entire vlog and edit it and put it out at the end of this episode because of course after the fag is going to be coming out on his own but of course i wanted to attach it to the episode i wanted to be more of the overall content piece that i put out because i knew i would be surpassing the nine million total downloads as far as for the notorious mass effect and when it comes to that sentiment and when it comes to my overall appreciation for everybody who supports the podcast as let's just say words can't even describe how grateful I am for everybody who comes in

weekend week out just to listen just to listen to me break down the music and gaming industry is never taken for granted always thinking of ways i can elevate the viewing experience for you and of course with us surpassing nine million total downloads that just tells me that y'all are engaging in the content you know i enjoy when i cover music and gaming and And I wanted to put out my first ever vlog just so y'all can know that I'm working on new forms of content to give the, uh, to enhance and elevate the overall notorious mass effect experience. So all the artificial applause out of the way. Let's get into the overview of 146, which of course already went over the title. So let's get into the, uh, we went over Kendrick Lamar at the Grammys and the.

Super Bowl we basically talked about him winning five Grammys for the track not like us which you know in all intents of purposes i had to cover that truthfully because as far as the genre of hip-hop and only two tracks in our genre ever being acknowledged as a winner for record of the year and both of them are drink disses i think that's a detriment to the genre overall so i said my overall sentiments of that and you know a lot of people disagree but some people agree because childish gambo came out himself and said this is america started out as a drake this track and of course kensig lamar is not like us as a full entire drake this track and those are the only two hip-hop tracks ever to be recognized as a winner for the award record of the year at the

grimmies which i just i just think is a slap in the face to the overall genre. of hip-hop because of how many legends we've seen come and go in this game so that's what I pointed that out as far as the Grammy award show but I do believe that not like I should have won definitely a good amount of Grammys but five was definitely insane especially record of year so with that being said then we transitioned from Kendrick Lamar dominating the Grammys to him not really dominating the Super Bowl halftime show but he did dominate analytics putting up some of the biggest I think it was, objectively speaking, the most viewed halftime show ever. So passing Michael Jackson.

So that in itself was very pivotal. And I just think that when it comes to Kendrick Lamar and his Super Bowl performance, I think he did a disservice to his fans focusing on GNX. And he basically, it was more of, I think it was more of a selfish type of performance. because the Super Bowl is supposed to be timeless, right? When you think of the Super Bowl, you think of a timeless performance that we could look back on and basically say, hey, that guy is or did put on one of the greatest performances we've ever seen in live action, right? As far as at the halftime Super Bowl, because you only get one chance to headline, right? People are talking about, oh, this is the second time doing it. Well, this is first time headlining, my brother. So showcase why you even be on that stage.

in the first place and he focused majority of his track listing on GNX which i just think is an ultimate disservice to not only kensi Kumar not showcasing why he was picked um outside of not like us because he performed that second to last basically hyping up that track the entire performance which i get it you want to dance on drake on drake's grave or his you know uh figurative figurative grave or whatever but you know at the same time uh good kid matt city damn a lot of just albums that you just um well i think he performs something off damn but as far as a good kid matt city there's just a lot in his discography that could have gave it a very super bowl like feel as far as his performance and him performing six to seven tracks off of genx i think did a disservice to his

overall artistry in the game so with that out the way then we had the weekend of of course we got to hurry up tomorrow as hurry up tomorrow had all type of sales but the thing about the weekend is he's unfortunately retiring the weekend because he feels he feels like he already perfected it which he said on the interview i think it was with apple or something but i forget the actual uh interview where he said it but he basically said he feels like he perfected the weekend so he's going to retire the weekend name and with this album hurry up tomorrow being the ending with the end of the trilogy and basically going number one and of course how much did he sell first week i think he sold a lot with this album he definitely sold more than his last uh than the second installment

of the trilogy but basically uh yeah hurry up tomorrow sold 490 000 units first week that's actually insane actually insane and it was the biggest day debut of 2025 of course three times bigger than the next closest competitor so as far as 2025 an album releases being concerned the weekend had one of the most pivotal album releases analytically that we've seen in this year so far so that was a big accomplishment i covered that basically went to what i felt about the album album is still in rotation go don't get it twisted that's probably still my favorite album of this year um i know i like the draken party next door album but that's more of a collaborative album.

So because the weekend had a majority of the tracks with himself on it, I think it's more of a standout to put it at number one currently, in my opinion. So that's why hurry up tomorrow is still to me the best album that came out this year. So anyways, then we transitioned and went into Kanye West, and you already know if we're talking about Kanye West, we're getting into a lot of subject matters that can get you cancel. sued for life. So I talked about Kanye West and Todd Dollar Sign. I'm not going to say they're at odds, but Todd Dollar Sign putting out the post on how he doesn't mess with hate speech, like he

doesn't condone hate speech. It's very interesting because it's not like he put a bullet on that name. He basically came out with a generic PR statement. I wouldn't have been surprised if he didn't even put out that post and if his PR team put out that post basically saying that he doesn't condone hate speech because he's still going to work with Kanye West. apparently Votcher's three is still in the works while also Kanye West's album, Bully is in the works. But I think the main thing, and even for me, I may have to start implementing this. Whenever Kanye West goes on these nonsensical rants and very hate speech oriented

diatrives on Twitter, I think we just need to ignore it because at this point he only does it when he's trying to sell an album. So as far as the mental health aspect, it would be different if he didn't have a project or a single to sell. But every time he goes on these rants, it's always followed up by, oh, buy this off easy, or cop my new album, or new album is coming.

Like, it's never just a rant and we're just, it's never just a rant and left at that. He's always doing this to capitalize off of the promotion, which he's, you know, he's Kanye West. I don't know why he goes on these hate speech type of rants. It's very beneath him, I think, and it's saddening for an OG. Kanye West fan. I'm talking about myself because, you know, I'm too young to say I'm an OG,

but as far as the actual OGs in the world who listen to Kanye West, it's a, it's a saddening effect that it would have on you if your favorite artist just started spewing out hate rhetoric. And now, because of that, his career is ultimately looked at in a bad light because of his negative impact on certain communities. So with that being said, I covered Kanye West's ran. And at this point, I think that may be the last Kanye West rant I ever cover. If it's not music, I may just skip it because this man obviously is just trying to use rage bait to sell albums and singles. And then, of course, we went to Drake and Party Next Door with their album as far as it going number one. And basically, Drake had his 14th number one album.

And as far as all time, he tied Jay-Z and Taylor Swift. far as the most soloist artists to have 14 number one albums which is insane as the Beatles i think they have like 17 or 18 but they're a group so as far as soloist this that's the top that's the cream of the crop you did it like nobody else has had more number one albums except for taylor swift and j j z which just speaks volumes on how drake's dominance has stood the uh has withstand or withstood the test of time and as far as for all the time catching up with him, I guess it's not happening anytime soon.

There's people still streaming his music and calling him a PDF. Ain't that crazy? Because not like us, it's still the second most play track in the world. So if the most play album has a guy that y'all think is a PDF, why are y'all listening to him?

You know, that's what I was the point, right? And then we transitioned into gaming, transition from music to gaming, of course, and talked about Batman video game in the works. So this is very, this is very pivotal because if you don't know warner bros is currently starving for cash right now because if you don't know warner bros was a very uh dumpster fire of a project like the amount of money that they burnt you might as well just like donated to like a charity or something like that

because the way that they lost money with suicide squad you just thought they hated making money like they just didn't care about making dollars they was like we're not trying to make dollars or no sense let's just come out with a suicide game that's a live service and let it flop after the first two seasons or the first two dc's right so with that in the works well with that being the conclusion of that game because it's now being taken down on stores and things of that nature uh warner basically came out and said that they are going to focus on a uh new batman game and this was this was big news because essentially people thought they was talking about Batman Beyond but we actually don't know what type of Batman game they're going to make yet they basically

said that they're working on a Batman solo game and essentially it may be centered around Batman Beyond as far as a new trilogy in the Arkonverse so I think that would be fantastic to have a futuristic Batman Beyond because then it opens the floodgates to have the original Batman still going strong as far as maybe in a Justice League game maybe a but they canceled the one of that's another story we went again to get into in the next episode. Warner canceled Monolith, which is one of the most pivotal gaming studios in the world. I mean, they literally created the nemesis system, which is too much you get into right now, but the short of it is basically if you're in a boss battle or you're fighting somebody

and they run away, right? They run away to the point where you can't catch them, right? So they get away. And then if you keep progressing in the game, whatever you did to them as far as damage, they will come back with that specific area patched up and then they'll run the feedback like they spend the block twice like the little dirt in the video game realm right that's what the nemesis system is and it keeps happening over and over

to the point where it gives it a dynamic feel for every play through that you that you go into so um monolith uh we don't know uh Warner patented that but did they license it out of course not they just held it in captivity for 14 years and ladies and gentlemen you think I'm lying, look up Warner Bros. Nemesis system patent, and you will realize that they have done irreversible, irrevocable harm to the gaming community because of them locking away one of the greatest systems of all time. So anyways, that's why I got into WB Studios focusing on Batman for the next games,

because they definitely need money because they're making terrible decisions. I mean, Motiviruses went in their garbage. Suicide Squad lost them a lot of money. like it was just a bad project after bad project so they're focusing on bad man their surefire their their uh highest percentage of getting a game right is definitely uh them focusing on batman because that's their most popular superhero currently and they already have a track record of getting his games right so i think that would be the best move for them then we got to phasmophobia of course if you don't know uh shameless plug analytic dreams on whatever platform you watch streams on

So with that being said, the main thing I wanted to say was I've streamed this game multiple times and let me tell you, once you really get into this game and understand it, because yes, it's a spooky game, but it's actually not that scary once you know how to play it. Like there's no, real jump scares like the only thing that scary is probably the hunts when they're coming after you because they make weird noises and things that nature but it's really not that scary to the point

where the developers said they're coming out and putting out um they're putting out a two point a horror 2.0 mode that's set to come out in like 2026 or something so i don't think it's coming out any time soon but i think they probably recognize that hey we can probably make this game a lot scarier because if this game had like unique jump scares as far as when they caused you, I think that would be a lot more frightening and horrific. But this game's not that scary. There's really more of a Sherlock Holmes tries to find the correct monster type of game. And it's pretty fiery, especially I'd be playing it with little Uchi and my cousin Darren.

And we basically, we some ghostbusters. I ain't going to lie. Even on my social media, as I posted clips and people seem to enjoy it. So we've some ghostbusters on there. So I was like, you know what? Let me cover the game. And lo and behold, this game is still doing phenomenal on the charts. because right now as far as post launch it had like two three million and a 22 million plus

total sales across all platforms so it's doing well right now and in general they have a lot of content coming up as far as you know new media tabs unique evidence system sound recorder captures unique paranormal sounds for journal review like they're upgrading a lot of things as far as the addition um there's a already talked about the horror 2.0 system there's a player care there's a player character overhaul coming up soon there's a new small map because really the small maps are the best in my opinion because that's where you can really get the most bang for your buck nobody's trying to walk around an entire prison just to find where the ghost is at like I think that's insanity so I like the small maps on that game so uh with that being said I cover that in this entirety

as far as the reviews and sales round up but it was a very uh it was a fantastic game and still is a fantastic game then we transition from that into cookie run kingdom yes ladies and gentlemen i told my mobile supporters that i would not forget y'all and i would cover mobile games because guess what they make up a good amount of the player count in this music in this gaming industry and i wanted to put more respect on their name so of course i'm out here reviewing more mobile video games so the next one i wanted to review and i did review and the midst of this episode was Cookie Run Kingdom Bang Bang, which is currently the fourth most played game on the mobile charts.

When I was reviewing that, obviously it could have changed, but it fluctuates, but usually is in the top eight of the most popular mobile games in the world. So then we went from that into Kingdom Come Deliverance, too. Now, if you don't know, this game is actually going insane on Xbox. I don't know what it is about Xbox and Kingdom Come, but, hey, they really enjoyed this video game because as far as PlayStation specifically, I don't think they really have Kingdom Come,

that high on the list like if you go to um let me see so as far as xbox kingdom come is the fourth most play game on uh Xbox I say fourth most as I'm trying to look it up to just the fact check yeah so kingdom come is the fourth most popular game on Xbox and if you go to PlayStation it is not even on the list it's not even in the top 10 so it's very that's why I like covering specific consoles could you get to see what is impacted the masses but specifically what consoles they're impacting the masses on and for kingdom come deliverance i ain't gonna lie an exclusive for x-box may be coming soon because i believe it's out on all platforms like kingdom come deliverance is even on steam because i remember looking at the steam charts and actually i don't even know if i i think

i saw it on steam charts let me see yeah kingdom come deliverance is one two three four five six is the eighth most popular game on Steam right now. It has a concurrent player count of 105,000 and a 24-hour player count of 112,000. So when it comes to that, I mean, goodness, that game is successful, ain't it? I'm so surprised it's not even on PlayStation Top Sellers list, which is very interesting when you look at the Xbox

and the way it ranks on Xbox and Steam. So even Nintendo, I think, is out on Nintendo as well. And even, they're even charting on that game. on me on that platform so that just led me to believe i was like dang do uh PlayStation players have a a grudge against kingdom come like the sony blacklisting kingdom come like i just don't understand okay kingdom come is actually not on this list yeah it's not on uh actually it is why i did hold a king dumb kingdom i definitely spelled it right i don't understand all anyways yeah so kingdom Kingdom come is on this list and is the 18th most popular game on the switch platform which is insane 18th most popular on switch fourth most popular on Xbox

eighth most popular on steam but nowhere to be found on a top 10 list of PlayStation which is just peculiar but that's why I like covering every platform just to let you know specifically what platforms they're affecting the masses on so anyways I got into a lot of things about kingdom come obviously you have to listen to that specific segment for me to go into detail about it but um Just know that it's reviewing phenomenally right now, and it may be an actual candidate for game of the year. Then we transition from Kingdom Come into Sid Meyers' civilization. And with that specific game, I definitely did not know too much about civilization during the seventh iteration, so obviously it's pretty popular to somebody, right?

It's more of a term-based strategy game where players lead from ancient to modern times, and you can have like a lot of leaders like i think harriet tubman is in his game so don't ask me how to happen i just say i'm just covering the news right so as far as said my civilization is definitely impacting the charts i don't think it's top in any charts because i've seen it i've looked at the charts it's not on there it's not anywhere on nintendo xbox playstation like uh so that's very interesting but um in general it is doing well in the first month because it released in february so this

month. It released this month sold 3 million copies in its first month. So I would say it's doing phenomenally well in UK where it debuted at number two as far as on the charts. So with that being said, I'll definitely play that game if you're into turn-based strategy games where you leave civilizations from ancient to modern times. So with that being said, then we transition into Poppy Playtime, Chapter 1, 2, 3, and 4. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, even though I don't play horror games i like to cover them because at the same time there is a huge audience for horror games so i do want to let them know what is currently impacting the masses on a horror genre uh front so poppy playtime is probably one of the more pivotal games in that horror atmosphere for the simple fact that

i'm not going to say it got his main inspiration is five nights and freddie but as far as the setting as far as the gameplay mechanic in the loop it's definitely more of a puzzle game but it's a lot of kitty-like atmospheres but the animatronics which i don't even know what they call them in that game but basically the puppies or whatever they're not kid like at all like they're very scary and that's a very scary game and it's a solo player so that's why you would never catch me playing that game ever because i don't really play horror games at all unless i'm with friends and things that nation they they're basically like hey man we got to play a horror game i'm like okay but only if you play with me you know i ain't probably one of those guys but hey i'm not playing a horror game by

myself you're not catching me playing any horror game by myself unless i'm getting uh like a sponsorship like a bag or i lost a bet that's the only two ways right so food for thought for any developers out there so anyways then we have uh then we transition from that to donkey cong returns HD and essentially with donkey con returns HD that game is very phenomenal because it is topping the charts well it's at the top of the charts of Nintendo. Reason why I say it's phenomenal because Mario is consistently dominating the Nintendo charts. And I don't care if it just came out because it was a re-release, right?

Donkey Kong returns. Let me see when it originally came out. Returns HD Original release day. Let me see. No, I'm trying to find the first one. Let me see. Okay, so Donkey Kong returns the re-release. edition came out January 16, 2025, right?

But the original Donkey Kong returns, that's what I'm trying to figure out. So that, what in the world? Oh, I didn't type that in. I just put Donkey, anything I'm talking about straight. So the original Donkey Kong country returns came out on November 21st, 2010. yes ladies and gentlemen 2010 on the we insane right insanity as far as longevity to be able to

re-release it same content saving everything it's just revamped as far as graphics and optimization things that nature right and it ended up topping the charts 20 no no no 15 years later and dethroning super maro a super marie party jamboree which is a huge accomplishment i don't care how long ago it came out, Mario is always at the top. It don't matter if a game's new. It don't matter if a game's immensely popular. Mario's usually always on the top of Nintendo. And Donkey Kong Returns Country HD ended up dethroning that game, which, you know, granted, it's probably just going to be for a week or two. But, you know, it dethroned it officially. And it's the most, it's the best-selling game currently on a Nintendo Switch platform. And then with that being stuff, of course, Mario's, like

in the top, he has two in the top three, like Super Mario Party, Jamboree, Mario Car 8 Deluxe. like Mario's really a problem, not only in the video game universe, but also in Nintendo charts. So with that being said, then we transition from Donkey Kong Returns HD into some industry news. And lo and behold, there was a lot of industry news that happened in the past two to three days that wouldn't have been a part of this podcast if it didn't come out at the time that it did. and basically paying myself through content, I don't understand how you can let people go and then give a raise to the CEO other than it being an absolute greed.

greed. It has to be greed. Like maybe if the company was going bankrupt, maybe if the company was losing money. But even then, if the company's losing money, when if the person at the top being the most responsible for it, every time you look at a team, the person who holds the most power over that team usually gets all the blame and like half of the credit, right? So if you're the CEO of a team, sure all the blame fall upon you when you have to cut everybody in your squad and not everybody in the squad gets cut but then you give yourself a raise I can't think of any other reason than the

utmost greedy individual to implement those type of strategies but here we are as Disney CEO's oh Disney CEO Bob Iger gets an increase in salary as workers are laid off estimated to be like surpassing 7,000 workers laid off

for Disney but the CEO got a raise insanity and I got into that in depth of course so by then we went from that into sony may buy from software basically the subsidiary under kodokawa from software is a gaming development studio known for armored core known for elder ring which elder ring i don't need you to you don't need me to tell you that elder ring is one of the more high quality games we've ever received in the past two to three years so with that being said Sony looked at the

developers of that game which is from software and they wanted to buy them they didn't find out well they found out when the evaluation hit that if you want to buy this buddy our evaluation which I have it right here our evaluation is estimated to be

4.3 billion in USD no not our currency 4.3 billion in USD which technically in their currency is 675 five billion so you get the point right uh it's a lot of money and sony was like you know what we ain't got that they was like you know what we ain't got it you got us you know what all pockets don't run that deep so basically they're going to work together and co produce um on a live-of-action

adaptation of kodokuas ipes which is probably going to be altering they're going to co-produce an anime and expanding global distribution via sony's crunchy row and of course they have public they're publishing more Kodokua games and strengthening virtual production capabilities. Basically, Sony's about to give Kodokua, aka from software, the red carpet treatment to create whatever they want because of the massive hit that came out of nowhere, which was Eldon Ring. And with that being said, Eldon Ring, that reminds me that, Eldon Ring, let me see, Night Rain.

Elder Ring Night Rain is coming out soon, I believe. Let me see. I think it's coming out soon. So, Eldon Ring, Night Ring, is coming out May 30th, 20, 25. So definitely soon, as far as, like, a little over a month from now. And that's the third iteration of an Eldon Ring game.

We had the original base game, had a DLC game, and of course, now again, a battle real slash multiplayer mode for Elder Ring, which is basically with a circle closing in, and y'all get to fight different bosses. It's like up to three players, I think you could pair up with.

Y'all fight different bosses, all from, like, Dark Souls and things that nature. So very pivotal and Sony noticed that try to get them exclusively but realized that was going to cost a bag and not everybody has a bag to be throwing around like Microsoft. So they was like, you know what? Let's just co-produce some things right quick. Because they were like, we ain't got $4.3 billion. So it was like, let's just a co-produce on a live action adaptation, which I think an Aldering movie could be coming out soon, which should be interesting as far as I would prefer it to be animation. I think live action.

Eldon Rink is impossible to pull off and in my humble opinion. But animation, I think, would make all the sense in the world. But anyways, they also did say they're co-producing anime and expanding global distributions via Sony's Crunchy Row. So that's probably what they're targeting. So anyways, with that being said, then we transitioned from that into the one and only Sean Carter, because when I tell you all, this is one of the most powerful man, one of the most powerful humans in the music industry.

let's keep on you know it's music and it's opinion base but you know some things you know I don't want to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammys than everyone and never one album in a year so even by your own metrics that doesn't work think about And then blue ivy just in the background like, man, daddy going off right now. And it's only people who pay attention to these type of things that they would have pointed out.

Because some people just think it's a coincidence, right? Oh, Cowboy Carter is just a phenomenal album, which it is. It's one of my favorite albums of 2025. But a year after your husband says that and you end up winning album of the year, I don't think that's a coincidence. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve it. I'm just saying that I don't think it's a coincidence.

And I also think Jay-Z is one of the most powerful, powerful humans and the music industry. It's not a slight to Jay-Z. I've just pointed out playing his day. As you heard, he just said, hold up, play one more time for you. This is a, let me see, let me get the date correct. This is 2024 back in February, right? You can feel like you've been robbed.

Emmys, never one album of a year. That doesn't work. how does that work you know what I mean how does that work Jay Z was trying to jZ was flabbergasted I'll tell you how we're Sean Carter we're gonna we're gonna make that or make up for that in 2025 and boy did they make up for it because um Beyonce winning album of the year cowboy Carter is a phenomenal album like I'll listen to that album to this day rent is um the the track I'm trying to see what's track that I like the most um if I can use the right phone okay um Yeah, so as far as the album, because that was one of my favorite albums of last year.

Obviously, my favorite album came from Shibuzi, but that was like a spinoff of this album. Very interesting how Shibuzi was on here multiple times and then he ended up putting out the better country album. Not sliding Beyonce. I'm just saying that she highlighted such a talented individual and gave him to shine to like expand to such a superstar level, right? We're going to be at, we're going to have to see if he can continue that. But anyways, Beyonce definitely can continue it. But as far as Cowboy Carter, my favorite offer of this album was definitely Tyrant.

I love Tyrant with Dolly Parton. That, you know, Dolly Parton was just on there giving, like, quotable. She wasn't, like, giving a verse or anything. But Beyonce went absolutely ballistic on Tyrant. The producers went ballistic. Beyonce did, so I'm not saying Cowboy Carter didn't deserve it. I'm basically saying Jay-Z is one of the most powerful humans in the music industry. Now, of course, why did I reiterate that a million times so it was cemented in your brain?

Well, that's because, ladies and gentlemen, when J. Z just won his lawsuit against the woman that was trying to accuse him of forcing himself upon her back in, I forget. But basically, there was a whole deal. I've already covered that as far as on the podcast. Let me see. I put J.O. Hifon Z, my fault, my fault. Back in January 2nd, 2025, if you just type in JZ analytic dreams, it should pop up.

But basically, I talked about how the lawyer, yeah, there was a whole lawsuit. for the 2000 MTV video incident, I guess, with video music awards after party incident where allegedly Jay Z forced itself upon a woman. She sued him and Tony Busby was behind it. Jay Z was irate because of course

he said that they was lying and just putting out false stuff just to get a bag or whatever, some type of settlement. He said he's not settling. He's going to show you how, like, I don't know, he said, so he, bro, he gave, you got to watch that segment. I ain't a lot.

While I watched it that bad, I was, I was going crazy on that segment. Like, sometimes I watched stuff back. I'd be like, hey, you know what I mean? I can understand why we almost at $10 million. You know what I'm saying? I'll be doing my thing a little bit, just a little bit. You know what I mean? I got to be humble.

All right, so Jay Z's lawyer basically came out with a statement, which just sounded like Jay Z straight up. I ain't on like, it sounded like Jay Z was about the audition for the next MCU villain the way he wrote that statement. But lo and behold, he was actually correct. The lawsuit no longer exists. They, it was dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot refile. things that nature. So Jay Z ended up getting that W, but coming back to the bring this full circle,

the reason why I covered him again for this episode is because there's a new lawsuit against Block Inc. that owns Cash App. The reason why that's a big deal is because Jay Z's name is attached to it because he's part of Block Inc. formerly known as Square. And they are they, they, in the lawsuit or claiming that block ink allow platforms like cash app square to be used for illegal acts like money laundering sex uh sex trafficking drug trafficking and more ladies and gentlemen somebody snitching i ain't gonna lie i ain't gonna lie to you i just read that off and i don't think y'all understand There's somebody who's currently incarcerated, right? And he's just, he ain't got nothing else to lose.

He don't have nothing else to lose. And he may or may not have certain powerful connections that comes with being a billionaire. A billionaire incarcerated, he's not going to go down without a fight, right? It's almost like he may be unveiling some things so that other people will get in trouble. Maybe his peers, right? So it's just so interesting how the woman lawsuit came out, you know, with the forcing himself

upon her or alleging that he did that and it ended up being completely dismissed with prejudice. And now just so happened, they found a specific lawsuit going at a specific company that Jay-Z is a board member of. And it's accusing it on very specific things. I wonder who in the world is incarcerated right now? Also a billionaire may have ties to Jay-Z to where he could have learned about it. these things to snitch on them. I wonder who that could be. Anyways, let's talk about how I posted about A-Sab Rocky's lawyer basically going on a breakfast club, right? And when he went on a breakfast club, he said something very interesting, but I'm just going to let you see this right quick.

He says something very interesting to me. I don't know enough about the case. I was asked to take a look at the case. As another case, I said, I would not be interested. Really? I just wouldn't think, no. Same reason? Connection is? it's different a little bit. I represent Rock Nation. A lot of people in Rock. I'm close with Jay and Desiree Perez. That's interesting, ain't it?

That's amazing. You love them. Bomb up a boss. Jay, Love him. Amazing. You know, Jay Brown, all those people are just,

like, they really are special, special people. And they, you know, that's sort of family to me. And, you know, I don't think they're sort of... See out of eye on there. See out of eye on that. Last question on that.

Man, they don't see eye to eye. I wonder why. But anyways, so yeah, I was covering the lawsuit against Block Inc. Right. That Jay-Z is a board member of where they're being accused of illegal activities like money laundering, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, and more. Hmm. I don't know, man. I just can't put it together.

I don't know. Maybe that's why I do this for a living. But anyway, so with that being said, yeah, Jay-Z has another lawsuit that he's going to at some point have to fight himself as far as being a board member. Because if this goes away that I think it might go because of the, because of where they're getting this information from. I think it'd be very interesting. So that was the end of the whole industry talking things to that nature. And then we transitioned into, yes, ladies and gentlemen, my first ever vlog.
