Oh, it's very packed as far as content because I just finished the last portion. but when it comes to the entire episode I did want to give it the chronological order

so starting off with the one and only boy this man has been making all type of rounds in the industry and safe to say he is made as the starting topic of this episode as we will be getting into Jay-Z and ultimately what he's been doing in the music industry and what he just did on what he just did on Yankee Stadium

breaking all sorts of records so when it comes to We do have a lot of different coverage when it comes to Sean Carter specifically. So, yeah, I'm excited to get into that. And then, of course, we're going to follow that up with Beyonce. As if you don't know, Beyonce is currently notoriously affecting the masses. As when it comes to her specific track, Morning Dew, I believe it's still one of the biggest tracks in the world. Yeah, Morning Dew is currently the 44th most played track in the world. So we will be diving into Beyonce and just her releasing that track.

And then, of course, releasing the remix with her husband, also known as Jay-Z. So that would say, then ladies and gentlemen, I kid you not. You know, I kind of said this when I talked about Future debuting at number one, well, 135,000 units first week. But that album came and went. Sad day, bro. I think Future is one of the most respected artists in the industry. And to be fair, I mean, the album's still the 21st most play album in the world.

So that's technically not all the way fell off. But when you look at the singles, that is where it gets interesting. as his most popular track is with the goat. Is it okay? I got my dope on me. And that came out way before his new album. So ran to Atlanta being the 80th most played track in the world, and none of the tracks of his just released album on the charts as far as the top of 100.

It's very interesting, man. You know, I had that same type of vitriol, but that same type of observation with Jermaine Cole, and now I have to keep the same energy with Jay-Z because, yeah, man. It's sad day in history, but I never thought I'd see the day, bro. one of the most influential rappers in my opinion dropped the album and it came a win so unfortunate but then we're going to get to FIFA as if you don't know a lot of different theme songs came out of FIFA

we have I Show Speed I know what y'all probably saying sheffered oh my fault you know what I'm saying but we also are getting into some of the other things as far as Shakira and Barner Boy we're getting into that actually yeah we're getting into that specific track we're getting into the halftime show breakdown in this entirety, as if you didn't notice the first time in FIFA World Cup history that they had an official halftime show for the final game. So anyways, with that being said, then we're going to dive into Gracie Adams, as if you don't know, Gracie Abrams. We just had an album titled Daughter from Hell, and that album performed particularly well. So we're going to cover that in detail, of course, because of course we've been covering Gracie for a while. I mean, first time I

covered her was in 2024. So I've been aware of Gracie Abrams and she's definitely having a notorious mass effect. So with that be said, that is the music portion. Then we're going to transition into the industry news and get into Drake Necromancer. Before you say, man, what in the actual? You're just making anything up to have Drake in the episode. And you show right, boy. You know what I'm saying? Do something about it. You know what I'm saying? I said, do something about it. All right, my fault. That's a little aggressive. You know what I'm saying? That's not me. I'm a pacifist. Anyways, we're getting into Drake executive producing the Apple TV show, Neuroman.

and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. So that's gonna end the industry news and then we're gonna get into gaming if you don't know Power World is currently overtaking the gaming industry you know what I'm saying just look at the state of game

it's crazy ain't it Power World currently is the third most played game on Steam you heard me correctly you would think already being out for a minute and then have a 1.0 version released this year when it be such a big deal

but Power World is currently having a resurgence in a way that's never had before it already was one of the biggest games in Steam history as far as all-time concurrent count and now it's just currently holding its place steadily on the steam charts as being one of the most notorious mass affecting games in the year of 2026, which is why it agrees to cover not once, but twice on a notorious mass effect

episode, because if you remember, last year, grace the cover on one of the episodes as well. So this is the first game that's ever had a repeat viewing on the episode. And of course, for BTS as well, but, you know, for musicians, I'm not going to say it's easier, but for musicians, um, yeah, it's not easier. So same thing. Same thing goes to BTS. This is the second or third time they ended up on a notorious Mass Effect episode. And, of course, we're going to get to Y in the second.

That's at the drama portion at episode. So the first time ever, the title of the episode is in the drama portion, which is at the end of the episode. And then, of course, we have... I totally lost my place. Oh, yeah. Then we have rhythm heaven groove, which if you don't know, we're going to dive into that particular game. It's more of a music beat. It's a rhythm type...

well, you guys. I mean, like, come on, bro. My fault, man. I mean, it's rhythm having, you know what I'm saying? I just thought I could explain it better. I didn't, I didn't, though. Anyways, so rhythm having groove, obviously is a rhythm game based off music and

different game modes they have in the specific video game. So we talk about that specific game, as if you don't know, currently. It has 734,000 total copies on a Nintendo platform, making it currently the second most play game, on Nintendo. Crazy. And then we're going to get into Kingshot, the mobile game. As you already know, I'm putting a misrespect on the mobile gaming community. So, of course, I had a breakdown that the review itself roundup of the mobile game, Kingshot.

And then, of course, we're going to transition into the Mount of Omen, because, well, it's the Mount Omen, not Mount of Omen. So it's Mount Omen. And for some reason, consoles just weren't really, you know, aside from the bowling gun games, because admittedly, some of the ball and the ball and. all games, I'm like, bro, I'm not covering this again. Like, you already know what's happening. If you don't want, if you're mad at there, I'm like,

bro, it's the same gameplay loop with different characters. Talking about Madden, talking about college, I'm talking about NBA. All right, they get the point. So basically, console for this month or for last month, for the month of July, basically, it was a very, it was very dry, in my opinion. Yeah, when you look at July, it was very, was it? Did I get the wrong?

Hold on. I think it was July. Am I tripping? Why am I getting my months mixed up? Yeah, it was July. I don't know why I'm tripping. Anyways, so when it comes to July, console games, I just think it didn't really have that big of a effect outside the ballgame.

So it's not too many of those in there. But one of them that is in there as far as the console games specifically is the Mount Omen. So we get into that specific game. And of course, because console didn't really notoriously effective masses for the month of July this year, in my opinion, we get into Splatoon Raiders, which that particular game, I'm not going to lie. team, Splatoon Raiders technically released

July 23rd, but it would have been competing with Power World. Now, Power World would have won. Well, it did win, obviously. But as far as the other game, if it wasn't Power World,

Splatoon Raiders would have been the cover of the gaming portion of this episode because they are notoriously affected the masses to the point where they are still number one on a Nintendo platform. And guess what? It's a PVE game, not the usual PVP that they usually have.

So, So, platoon Raiders definitely took a experimental turn and it was definitely rewarded by it by their fan base. And then, ladies and gentlemen,

we have finally made it. You know what I'm saying? The drama portion of episode 163, not only is it the cover of the music portion, but we start off hot with BTS versus the Grammys.

I know that ain't who I think it is. The reason why this is the cover of the episode is because this is a humongous deal because BTS, the weekend, Drake by themselves cannot affect the Grammys, right? As far as not submitting their music.

But then collectively, if they all come together and say, you know what, I'm tired of the Grammys. Stop submitting, you know, talking to the label, be like, hey, man, don't submit none of my music. And collectively, now you have the weekend, Drake,

BTS, and other artists not submitting the music, I think the Grammys have a real star issue ahead of them if this continues. Because BTS is already humongous in themselves. Drake is humongous. The weekend is humongous, but not to beat a dead horse. If another superstar like act joins that list of not submitting to the Grammys,

they're not going away anytime soon. Drake, the weekend, the BTS is not going away anytime soon. If that list continues of artists, they are top-tier artists. We're not talking about. out like washed up artists. Top of the industry artists, not submitting. If that trend continues, the Grammy's going to have to revisit some relationship equity and see how they can befriend a lot of these artists.

Because, yeah, that's a real issue if the biggest stars in music are not submitting for your award show, which is seen as the most prestigious award in industry, right? it's similar to like in the acting industry of Robert Patterson if Tom Holland and Timothy Shalamay was like you know what we're not submitting our music no more you know what I'm saying it's equivalent to the Grammys as far as BTS pulling their music for for consideration from consideration and joining the star studied Grammy non-submission list I think it's a bigger deal than a lot of people um well I'm not gonna say because it was a huge deal

when they announced it but you know I just wanted to continue that type of rhetoric because I think it's a big deal that the Grammys are going to have to face at some point. So, but that being said, that is why they are the cover of the episode and the title because, you know, I just believe that's a big deal over Power World because Power World was definitely about to get the title. But I was like, you know what, BTS versus the Grammys is a big deal. And I don't think a lot of people realize how big of a deal it is. And then, of course, ladies and gentlemen, you already know we had to finish with a little

comedic drama. I know that ain't who I think it is. As even on my whiteboard, you know, I had a lot of family over it. And they was like, what is, is this an Usher versus Chris? I was like, yes, yes it does. So basically, for the drama portion of episode 163, to end off the episode, the last segment is basically Usher versus Chris Brown. If you don't know, the reason why I say that is very much a comedic effect

because it's not one versus the other. It's basically the perception because I've seen nothing but top tier headlines for my boy Chris Brown. I can't say the same when they come to Usher. You know what I'm saying? See, that's the problem. They're on the whole stadium tour that's called the R&B show. You know what I'm saying?

It's not like, oh, it's the Chris Brown show with Usher opening. And every single time I see a headline, it's something positive about Chris Brown, unless you're talking about that dog bite with that lady, which, you know, that was pretty egregious. But musically, like stage performance-wise, it's all positive from Chris Brown's side. Musically, from the stage performance side,

it's not as positive from the Usher side. People saying they'd he clone. People saying they would rather have Chris dance on him, the usher, which is why they're acting uninterested, people saying that, what was the other one? There's another one. Yeah, people were showing him with his booty out.

No, I kid you not. This is a PG podcast, but there was a whole video that went viral. Not just some random video. It went viral. Of him getting up from the bed and his whole butt was out. It did not make the top five as far as biggest first week sales of 2026, but still respectable in his own right, almost cracking 300. So with that being said, let's start with 10 and go back up to number one. So Noah Kahn with stick seasons, the 10th most play album in the world. And then of course, man, I know that ain't who I think it is. I think at some point, we really have to have a discussion on just how famous is Michael Jackson. But the year of 2026 and the album stood the ninth most play album in the world. Like, what in the actual?

Like, this is that. I know that ain't who I think it is. Like, I know the movie just came out, but I mean, JZ just sold out Yankee Stadium like three times in a row. And none of his albums started. you know what I'm saying? So Michael Jackson effect is way different. And we really have to have a discussion on just how popular is Michael Jackson. So anyways, Olivia Dean, the art of loving is the eighth most played project in the world. I don't have too much to say about that. Morgan Wallen, one thing at a time, the seventh most play album in the world. Now, of course, Morgan Wallin,

aside from Noah Kahn is the only two artists that have two albums in the top ten, which is a phenomenal feat, right? But it brings me back to my latest Morgan Wallin segment. I know that ain't who I think it is. I know y'all was probably saying that when you y'all saw that. y'all was like what type of money did morgan wall in his camps in dreams way well granted they ain't sitting in there you know what i'm saying and no i cannot be robbed when i look deeper into why morgan wallin said the n word no i know i just gonna sound bad it wasn't as bad as i thought it was now of course it's a caucasian male saying the n word that is not acceptable in any stretch of the imagination my perception was that he was saying the hard ER and a derogatory way it still doesn't make it

right but in the accurate context he was saying the N word with the A basically because his band is all black and he was saying make sure my homie gets home make sure my N word gets home so different contexts he still should not be using the N word but of course I'll retract my vitriol I have towards Morgan Wall as far as saying the N word I think it's definitely in its excusable, right? And he literally came out and said that. But I feel like the way I was coming at him was putting him in more of like a Chud category when really it's just a white person that has a black friend that got a little too comfortable. I think those two scenarios is vastly different. Chud and Morgan Wallen saying inward is vastly two different scenarios. And I think, I think,

like you know not to sound like blues clues you know what I'm saying because I will play the music if y'all get outside yourself you know what I'm saying if you get beside yourself but when it comes to the goat, you know what I'm saying? Now, of course, this does not mean he makes the highest quality of music, even though I'm a huge Drake fan and cover the charts. I say all the time just because you make, just because you sell the most, it's not mean you make the highest quality of music and just because you don't sell, does not mean you make garbage. When they come to Xbox, I'm not going to lie. Y'all actually play different games compared to, like, PlayStation. You know what I had to say? Because, you know, PlayStation, they be tripping. When it comes to PlayStation, they play the same games. I do they, I know PlayStation has like 60% of the console player base, but at least Xbox shows some sort of variety in the top 10. It's not just the same thing every time.

So the main reason why I say that is because of course, as you can see right here, Shift at Midnight being at number five is very interesting, right? I mean, very obscure a game, very fun. Once again, the RDC point I was making. If you have a group where you have a lot of great chemistry and you know in each other for a while, or, I mean, if you just have great chemistry in general, Shift at Midnight is definitely a game you should play if you enjoy group video games. So that being said, Minecraft is currently at number one,

most play game on Xbox, you know, Speed and Kai, they definitely notice that as they currently are on their Minecraft, what's they call it? What do they call it? Marathon?

It's a marathon, right? Because I don't think it's like a time on it. I think they keep going until like, I don't know, because apparently they can't even do the challenge. Like apparently like professional Minecraft players came out. They're like,

bro, it's literally impossible. So, yeah, they're doing something that they can't accomplish and I believe they're going to change the rules to either beat it or they're going to just like come back.

They're going to get mad, blow up the set, and come back some other time. But yeah, as far as the rules they set out, they have to be like four of the hardest bosses in Minecraft. And one of them I heard on hardcore, you're not even supposed to beat it. Like it's just supposed to just avoid it. So, yeah, it seemed like that challenge is impossible for them. But if they complete it, I'll take my words back. But mark my words.

Either they're either going to, they're going to change the rules entirely or they're just going to get mad, have a fake blow up of the set, and then they're going to be like, oh, it's over. You know what I'm saying? They're going to end it in a way that's not just, oh, it's over, we can't do it. or Xbox, I mean, it's pretty solid. That is actually something that is surprising to me, especially with PlayStation having such strong branding of Halo's now on PlayStation. You know what I'm saying? You never thought you'd see today. But anyways, with that being said, Halo campaign evolved, which is the premium upgrade, is currently a six most play game on Xbox. well it shouldn't be easy but it's very easy to drop the ball on a fan favorite character if you don't have people who understand what the people want right so for Marvel Tokon to absolutely capture the essence of Spider-Man as far as the movement

as far as the abilities that you can use the webbomb threw me off I was like oh okay is that insomniac base as far as the gadgets. Anyways, Spider-Man is my favorite fighting game character of all the time. You know what I'm saying?

If you was wondering, I'm a huge fighting game connoisseur before Spider-Man and Marvel Tokon sub-zero from Mortal Kombat X was my favorite fighting game character of all the time. I just loved the ice clone mechanic. All the combos I was learning

into the ice club, I just loved that whole mechanic. And I haven't even scratched the surface on the type of combos I want to do with Spider-Man. I mean, you know, shameless plug. Y'all have seen me play Marvel Tokon, you know, handing out. you know, handing out that BTA, you know what I'm saying?

But, you know, when it comes to me exploring certain combos I could do, I think once I have, like, one or two extended combos under my belt, I don't know, man, you may have to go into them doming rings, you know what I'm saying? So as far as this year, Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is definitely my favorite game of the year. Pragmat is definitely number two and 007 is number three. So that's my ranking. But anyways,

Madden NFL 27. That game is currently the most play game on the PlayStation platform. I think it's because there's a whole trial going on right now. You know, when it comes to ball and gun games, you know, at some point, he just got to say enough is enough, right? Like that community, they just, they get the same thing every year. And they just, you know, like bro i'm paying 70 dollars for it like every year like you know the subscription models that y'all collectively all right anyways so yeah madden um comes out every single year they don't change anything but the characters they charge 90 they charge 70 to 90 dollars every single year you can't make that up because then you look at fortnight right they update their their game continuously right

and it's free they make their money through micro transactions does any of the sports games want to copy that model of course not they're looking fortnight they look at more of arrivals and they say to themselves why will we ever make a free to play game and just continuously update it let's consistently charge them 70 to a hundred dollars a month and they're going to pay for it you guys see that's the problem never for the life of me you know i just can't figure out that equation you know if if sports the sports gaming community came together and they was like, you know what? We want y'all to switch to the model of Fortnite. Make it free to play and just continuously update the game.

Obviously, y'all are making money hand over fist. But they're not going to do that because guess what? If they could choose anti-consumer practices for monetary gain over pro-consumer tactics and less revenue, guess what they're going to choose? My point exactly. So anyways, NBA 2K 26 is the fourth most play game on PlayStation, not surprising. College football, 27, fifth most play game on PlayStation, not surprising. And Roblox, which is a free game, six most play game on PlayStation.

So then we get into 7 through 10. How in the world they winby end up undercover and not Jalen Brunson? Like, is that disrespectful? I mean, they both black, but man, it got to be Jalen Brunson's height. I mean, you can't really say the races because, you know, they're both black. LeBron James, Dave Chappelle, Travis Scott showed up, Fat Joe, numerous amount of A-list just showed up. I mean, this was really a cultural event, which is why I could not wait to cover this. heavy inspiration from the Super Bowl. And what did FIFA do? Of course, they vetoed it. Now, ladies and gentlemen, why did they veto it? It's because officials cited concerns over potential rain damaging the pitch and the risk of installing a stage in the center

of the field. You guys. See, that's the problem. But that's not it, ladies and gentlemen. Rothenberg furthered and expounded upon his point, basically saying that California's July weather made rain unlikely. Did FIFA care? Of course not.

As FIFA, when it came to them attending the Super Bowl 1993 halftime show, if you don't know, that's what Michael Jackson performed. And when FIFA officials watched the concept of Michael Jackson, Jackson performing a halftime for the Super Bowl, they still said, and vetoed the idea of Whitney Houston performing at halftime. You guys. See, that's the problem. And this decision was because FIFA wanted to conserve the halftime entertainment, prioritizing the pitch integrity and match the overall spectacle of soccer,

So putting that to the side, of course, BTS shut down the show and there was a long side of a plethora of performance. But I believe when it comes to FIFA,

finally breaking the archaic rule as far as not having a halftime performance. I think it was phenomenal, but I will have, I do have a critique. You guys. See, that's the problem. As the masses who was at the show, they said, and currently I have BTS up right here. Here is, who is that? I think that's Madonna. Am I tripping? I think it is Madonna. And then, of course, you have Justin Bieber, and then you have, who else? And then you have Shakira and Burnaboy. So as far as those pictures, I just wanted to show you who was at the show. But getting back into my other point. So when it comes to, you, the performance. A lot of people was upset over the runtime because a lot of major

superstar-like acts was there that has FIFA type of songs, right? As far as Shakira and Burnaboy, we covered that specifically. As far as them performing the Day Day track that's doing phenomenal on the charts, mind you. I mean, that track currently, if I can spell, that track, I wasn't I on the charts anymore? Oh, it is. That track Day Day Day is currently the 55th most played track in the world and of course i show speed uh he had another track that we covered and that was the champions track and of course that's not charting because he's not like an artist i mean he is artist but you know when it comes to his musical output it does not notoriously affect the masses like his live streams does um but the main reason why i'm saying that is because of course

when it comes to bt s bt s currently has a 26 most play album in the world with rie rang of course when it first came out they broke records having six 147,000 first week, which is still number one as far as the biggest first week sales of 2026. But now getting into the critique as a lot of people were saying that it was way too short to have this many performers as far as the individual runtime because a lot of the performers probably had like two or three minutes before the next major act hopped on stage. Now apparently it was expanded as far as the runtime. It was 30 minutes, extra time for stage set up and tear down. because there were so many performers.

But when it comes to the actual live performance length, it was 11 minutes and 20 seconds. Some say it was 11 minutes, but basically you get the point. So when you look at the critiques, a lot of people were saying that it was not enough time for individual acts, with some acts having under two minutes of stage time.

Now, that is the problem. You guys. See, that's the problem. I don't know why they would adopt the Super Bowl halftime show type of system without actually looking at

how the system is implemented. If you're going to adopt the Super Bowl halftime performance type of structure, where in the world have we had 10 plus performers at the Super Bowl halftime show? Y'all let me know, right?

So obviously you can have one main act that brings out a bunch of people, but the way that they did it, it was a lot of main acts that was performing like there was the main act, and you just did not have, you simply did not have enough time for that. You should have had BTS or you should have Shakira or Justin Bieber as the main people and let them bring out people during their performance.

But having Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Burnaboy, Coldplay, all these artists, all at one time with only 11 minutes to actually perform is insane. So even though they did bring, they did break the archaic tradition of not having a FIFA World Cup halftime show, I will say that there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. You should start with choosing one artist and then giving them the halftime show slot. Having all those different artists, I think they were just, you know, they underestimated how much time you would need to have all these performers on stage. So with that being said, safe to say when it comes to the World Cup, it did fantastic, ladies and gentlemen. as the attendance broke records as far as 6.8 million total spectators across 104 matches.

The average view count was 65,000 concurrent viewers slash max slash match in 99.7% capacity surpassing 1994's 3.5 million. And another thing, when it comes to viewership, billions turned in globally as far as massive digital reach, as far as 20 billion. and gentlemen would be 20 billion plus video views and 146 billion plus social views in early phases which basically showcases how big FIFA is as a whole and of course you all right to know I got to be a Hall of Fame pocket watcher now I got to be a Hall of Fame pocket watcher because when it comes to the revenue FIFA projected 7 to 15 billion as far as reports up significantly from 2022, $5.8 billion, driven by, of course, matches as far as 48 teams, taking sponsorships, et cetera.

So I think when you look at the prize money record being $871 million, you come to realize not only is FIFA World Cup a ginormous world event, but it also rakes in a crazy amount of revenue to the point where you come to realize why everybody in a mama tried to get on that halftime show stage, right? So I would say, objectively speaking, FIFA World Cup is by far big. bigger than the Super Bowl. But when it comes to the structure of the halftime show, they definitely have ways to go to match the quality level of a Super Bowl halftime show. And I think it starts with only choosing one main performer and having them bring out people instead of trying to

bring out all these different main performers and having them share 11 minutes of performance time. So the other thing I was going to get at was Justin Bieber. Now, somebody got to do it. Shepard. No, so might have to do it. Because, of course, when you look at Justin Bieber, people say he slowed down the show's energy. Of course, I didn't watch it. When it comes to the masses,

this is the notorious mass effect covering the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affected masses. So for the masses that was actually at the FIFA World Cup show, they said that Bieber's slow acoustic song disrupted the show's energy, and many people felt that everything, hallelujah song was an odd choice

for a global sporting event. Now, of course, I didn't watch it, so I can't really say too much, but when it comes to, to the actual performance elements, a lot of people did have Justin Bieber specifically as the worst performer. Don't kill the messenger. I'm just letting y'all know what happened. You got what I'm saying? See, that's the problem.

But what you need to leave out on this as far as the main takeaway from this segment, as that was the first half-time show ever staged during the FIFA World Cup final. Unfortunately, the goat was not there. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? But he was in attendance. So the last thing I was wanting to do was showcase some of the celebrities that was actually there. And for Gracie Abrams to have Australia's best-selling vinyl album of the week, you come to realize that there's certain markets,

that musicians just completely don't focus on at all, right? And then there's other artists who, smartly I might add, focus on artists that engage with their content, almost as if when it comes to the notorious mass effect, I started covering the entire, well, all type of genres because really my love lies with hip-hop and R&B.

So selling six figures as far as $12,000. 26,000 out the gate is immaculate. I would assume that the singles off of the album would be in at least the top 100 as far as all 16 tracks. We saw that with Future.

as far as the movie breaking the record for music biopics at the box office with 217 million in its global opening but now ladies and gentlemen we are back once again because guess what? As not only is it the highest grossing biopic ever, not only is it the first biopic to gross one billion worldwide, but of course it's the highest grossing Lionsgate film ever

and it's the fastest biopic to be. reach 500 million and 1 billion worldwide. So of course, for this specific segment, I was going to get into the objective facts of how Michael is bigger than life when it comes to celebrity status, even after death. When it comes to posthumously, you know what I'm saying? All right, no, that's for the people who follow my clipping channels out there. When it comes to the posthumous legacy of Michael, of course the movie is phenomenal, right?

But then you come to realize it's very hot and cold from people who are in the Michael family, more notoriously Janet Jackson, of course, and then outside of the Jackson family as far as fans. They're very split on this movie, but one thing I will say is that they showed up at the box office and that's all you can ask for, especially when you want more representation in the movie theaters. So that being said, the main reason why I'm even bringing this up in the first place is not only to Blotivier and glow over Michael being one of the greatest notorious mass effectors we've ever had in just celebrityism. Of course, Michael, with $1.06 billion. And of course, it's still going, ladies and gentlemen. So if you wanted to know the top five grossing biopics of all time, it's Michael. Of course, $1.06 billion generated.

Oppenheimer in 2023 with $97 million generated Bohemian Rhapsody. Hopefully I said that right. That came out in 2018 that generated $911 million. Hi mom. What in the actual that came out 2021. That generated $822 million.

And of course the passion of Christ. Hold up now. Is that Jesus? My fault. The Passion of Christ that came out 2004 generated a whopping $612 million. So if you wanted to know the top five highest grossing

biopics of all time, well, there you have it. Now when it comes to, as the current state of the movie industry, there are not several. There's a couple notorious mass effectors in the movie theaters right now where, no, not a couple, a few. As we have twice, 35, Michael, and then a Super Mario Galaxy movie.

And then, you know, I am a little biased because, you know, Spider-Man, I always say is the greatest fictional creation of all time. But let's just say, I think Spider-Man is going to quickly go to that number one slide because it's breaking all type of records right now. Like, it's literally doing better than the Avengers movies. But we're going to get to that in a second. Right now we're focusing on Michael. Of course, over here in notorious mass effect, we do focus on the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses.

So when it comes to me covering these movies, simply put, Michael is one of the greatest musicians of all time. And of course, when it comes to my in-depth Spider-Man coverage is coming soon, that I believe is just me showcasing my superhero nerdism because I'm a huge Spider-Man fan. So that out of the way. Of course, we cover Mario as well, because of course, in the gaming sense, Mario's, save gaming. that notoriously are affecting the masses even when you switch the medium that is in. So that being said, of course it had to be a Hall of Fame pocket watch. You know what I'm saying? Somebody had to do it. As when you look at the revenue from Michael, I said to myself,

hold up now. Now I wonder, where is all that revenue going to us? I mean, you know, somebody has to do it. So, of course, your boy had to dive deep into his journalistic bag as far as where is this money going. And you will be pleased to know that the Michael estate that, of course, co-produced, licensed music, and IP reportedly received $10 million upfront for co-producing, which doesn't seem like a lot, right?

I mean, when you look in the grand scheme of how much Michael is making. And then you come to realize, is licensing. as well. So 25% of profit participation, potentially 40 million plus dollars on the table right now. And when it comes to that, if you don't know, the estate covered extra reshoot costs as far as 10 million plus for equity state standard artist deals are exponentially lower than that, right? So they definitely had a lot of Lionsgate, had a lot of investment in this particular movie. but of course the Michael Estate still came out of the pocket 10 million plus and it's seeming like it was a great gamble as this movie is setting up was already objectively speaking one of the most profitable movies of all time so when it comes to this state from you know Michael's estate it's controlled by sole executor John Branca if you don't know that was after the co-executor John McLean's death in May 26 2026 oh that was recently I'm rest and peace to him man you know what I'm saying that was sad I didn't mean to make it so morbid. My fault.

So, yeah, so John McLean recently passed away, the co-executor of Michael's estate, but now it's solely by John Branca and assets flow to the Michael's family's trust, which is 40% to Catherine Jackson, 40% to his three children, 20% to charities and children are the beneficiaries, not the managers. So when it comes to me deep diving into that, I was pleased to know where the revenue was going. So ultimately, this is just a glazathon as far as the Michael movie because a billion dollars, I mean, safe to say everybody knows that's a lot of money, right? So when movie theaters are seemingly going out of style, everybody's saying nobody wants to go to the theater when you can just watch a movie in your living room, obviously, Michael proved that wrong.

And when it comes to other movies in 2026, like Toy Story 5, Super Mario Galaxy, The Odyssey, Spider-Man, Brand New Day, all. of these movies are showcasing that people will come to theaters for an event. You can't just put out a random movie and they'd be like, you know what? Forget the marketing strategy. You're like, you really have to try to get people's eyeballs and bodies and cease in theaters. You really have to go to extra mile because it's not just good enough to make a great feel. Obsession is beyond an anomaly. It's a situation, a scenario that's probably not going to happen for 99% of movies. A low budget

new amateur director comes in, makes a movie and word of mouth carries the movie to making all type of money. It's not those type of stories do not happen often. Now I'm not saying, I'm not trying to discourage the

wannabe amateur directors out there. I'm just letting you know when it comes to obsession, it's a very much it's very much an anomaly. And last year, I believe This happened with Markiplier, where his movie, I believe it was called Iron Lung, because I also covered that. When did I cover that?

Let me see. I covered Iron Lung December 8th, 2025 when I reacted to the trailer and broke down when the movie was coming out. I had no idea that the movie was going to do as phenomenal as it did. I was just supporting a fellow content creator as far as Market Plyer because I actually like this kind of content. You know, fun fact, whenever I was watching Five Nights and Freddy's from my favorite creator to watch their firm was Market Plyer. and I do not like horror in any sense.

And for some reason, I was just encaptivated by Five Nights and Freddy's. I don't know why. So don't ask me. Because I have no idea why I was so uncaptivated by scaring the living daylights out of myself watching him play Five Nights and Freddy's. But with that being said, getting back into Michael. When it comes to this film, everybody's going to be asking, well, when is the sequel coming out? And that's a phenomenal question. As when you look at the sequel for Michael, it's estimated to have a possible 2028 to 2029

release date depending on production start. Now, of course, Lionsgate is looking at this being the highest grossing film ever under the umbrella. And they're probably like, let's get that sequel out expeditiously. I mean, the story's already there is only a matter of time before you start to use the revenue you generate it to get, I'm not going to say better talent behind the scenes, because of course it's Michael's story, right? But as far as cinematography, all of that, all of the performances that they capture with the uncle's son playing Michael, you know, when it comes to that specifically, I'm pretty sure they can have better accommodations for the sequel now that they have a proven concept where Michael generating over a billion dollars. So I think when it comes to

Michael, the biopic, joining an exclusive group of one billion plus films, I think this is not only a celebration for the black community, but for the music industry in general, being able to showcase one of our greatest musicians' story in a biopic and people actually going out to theaters to watch it. Because as of right now, there's not too many movies that can claim that they had the amount of success that Michael had. Actually, none when it comes to biopics. But when it comes to top five movies in general, as far as 2026, Michael is currently at number two. And then you can't forget that his music is doing phenomenal. As Chicago, because of the movie and people going back to listen to his discography, the highest grossing, the highest, um, listen to track by Michael

right now is Chicago, which is currently the 44th most played track in the world. So if you want to know the most popular track that people are going back to after watching a movie, it's Chicago. That is currently the 44th most played track in the world. And then of course, you have Michael Jackson's album thriller. That's the ninth most play album in the world. And then of course, you have the number ones, which is literally all on Michael Jackson's number ones in his career, all on one project. That's currently the 13th most play project in the world. So not only is the Michael movie doing phenomenal in the box office,

but the resurgence of streams for Michael Jackson specifically is just phenomenal. It's thriller being the ninth most play album in the world, number ones being the 13th most play album in the world, and of course the single, or not the single, the song, Chicago being the 44th most played track in the world, just showcases that not only do people respect Michael's legacy, but they're willing to go to extra mile even after watching and paying the hard-earned money and going and traveling to a specific location to watch a film.

Because when you look at the film, it's really highlighting albums like off-the-wall, thriller, bad, dangerous, and history. But of course, when it comes to the charts, those tracks, no, that track Chicago and the album, thriller, and number ones are the specific projects and song that people are going back and clamoring for after watching the movie. So when it comes to that, I think when it comes to the Michael Biopic, this is not only a cultural moment. It almost reminds me of Black Panther, honestly. As far as the cultural moment, respecting one of our greatest legends, and it is being a phenomenal success in a movie theater.

Because when you read the book, ultimately they get certain points across, but when you talk about the Illuminati and them exposing certain things, there's a little. lot of imagery in that specific comic book. Is it okay? I got my dope on me. Once again, I read the comic book thoroughly.

You know what I'm saying? Is it okay? I got my dope on me? And it's almost like they're hearing towards a certain someone. All right, my fault. Let me stop my conspiracy theories before I sound like someone else. But that means it. The main thing I was want to get into was how long did it take to draw the book, the Black Illuminati?

That's at a baton. Yeah. You like, hey, no. I'm kidding. I'm sitting it. When you asked me, I'm like, damn, how long did it take? Was it a year? was a treat. I think it took me about a year to do this. On and off because it was five issues.

Usually five issues would take you about five months if you got them, you know, steadily. But this was spread out a little bit more, so it took about a year to do it. I would get a script every two months and something like that. And of course, if you didn't know, it was from this event as far as the comic book location where, okay, it's on mute. All right, here we go. So Midtown Comics, shout out to them. So when it comes to the actual event, this is a live footage of it of all the different covers. Charlemagne being there himself, signing different books. Working with Charlemagne and to work with Bill Sinkiewicz and Axel and all the great people

at AWA meeting the fans here has been amazing. The energy that we get from New York, the people that are here, the fans of AWA, the fans of Aluminati are ready and the fans of Charlotte. I think that was Rob Markman. Hold on now. What's that Rob? That may not be him. I don't know, maybe I'm tripping. Already, and the fans of Charlemagne, the guy has made this very special. We're here. Alright, so with that being said, ladies and gentlemen, it is time to get into the overview of Charlemagne and the Black Aluminati. As, of course, with me being a huge comic book fan and of course with Charlemagne being one of my obvious inspiration, as if you don't know, over here at notorious Mass Effect, we get into the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses.

So of course, one of my preferred genres is, of course, hip hop. And who's one of the biggest covers of hip hop in the industry? Of course, Charlemagne, the God. So with that being said, he is one of my inspiration, especially when it comes to covering certain topics in the music industry and just looking at it from a bird's eye view and thinking outside of yourself, especially when you're predicting the market and what's to come. So I have huge admiration for Charlemagne.

But with that being said, you're probably thinking to yourself, what does this have to do with comic books? Well, I'm glad you asked. When you look at Charlemagne specifically, not only is he a New York Times bestseller, but of course when it comes to his superhero ties, he's always talked about his love for his superheroes and how in the beginning, coming up or growing up in South Carolina, he was drawn towards the X-Men because of their diversity in God-like powers such as Storm. and he has a whole Wolverine tattoo

and no I did not research this this was like the front page this is what you call the prologue the epilogue of the book you know the first page I read it I was like I'm not one the actual

I know that ain't who I think it is that man just gave us random information of having a whole Wolverine tattoo and he told us it wasn't good you know he even told us the quality level of the tattoo all right my fault so I'm getting back to it

so when it comes to Charlemagne the main thing when it comes to his love for his superheroes is that of course he was a huge Wu-Tang fan and noting their comic book references. And then when you look at in 2017, Charlemagne was a part of the Marvel New Year's Eve Infinite Comic in 2022. And it was launched via his Black Privilege publishing.

So if you was wondering, why in the world would Netflix give a $200 million deal to Charlemagne? Was it Netflix or was it Breakfast Club? I think it was Netflix. Anyways, Charlemagne received some type of $200 million deal. I say some type of like that was a big accomplishment you see Charlemagne 200 million you know that he don't want nobody

to look this up you know what I'm saying he's like oh what 200 what so anyways okay it wasn't with Netflix it was with iHeart media so of course with a five year 200 million dollar deal you come to realize that it's not only because he covers the music industry and other pop culture topics on the

breakfast club it's because he's multifaceted and he does a lot of things in the industry that some people may not be aware of at all so that is why I wanted to bring that up because, of course, he's been in the comic book lane as far as being interests and superheroes. This is not just something as of a, this is not just a money grab or a cash grab. And of course, when you look at the book aspect of the other side, because of comic books, you know, it's usually superheroes, not always, but comic books and superheroes.

And then on the book aspect of things, he's had multiple books that have phenomenal success. As if you didn't know, Black Privileged, another book I read in 2017, debuted. at number six on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction bestseller list. And then of course, Charlemagne had shook one in 2018. That was the national slash global bestseller per the publisher, Atria slash Simon

and Schuster, that's a tongue twister for me. I don't know why. And of course, it was confirmed as well by Amazon listings and consistently marketed as such alongside his New York Times title. So with that being said, of course, then he had recently, which a lot of people may have been aware of, get risk, get honest or dot lying. Now, of course, I had a tongue twister because I was thinking of 50s, get rich or dot chart. Obviously is an obvious playoff of that. So get honest or dot line came out 2024. Third book from his imprint promoted as continuing his bestseller track record by Simon Nishuster slash Atria. So the same people that, Of course, Co-Signed the Shook One's book that came out 2018. So the main thing I want to talk about when it comes to Charlemagne is him being multivaceted,

him growing up and already having a lot of interest in comic books, as far as superhero specifically, and of course writing his own books aside from the superhero round, and now the two have combined again in a way that I think was pretty solid. As of course, when getting into the Black Illuminati, you would think that Charlemagne wrote, drew the book, and everything. but no ladies and gentlemen when you dive deeper into it and obviously charlemagne is not saying like oh i wrote this book he's basically saying he's promoting it he's basically a cultural commentator i'm not a commentator he's a cultural um impactor and when it comes to that the marketing aspect was

heavily put on him right so he's a front-facing person for this book but if you wanted to know the actual people behind the book here it is right here so basically this is everybody who's the main people of the Illuminati team. Not to say the people who outside of this is not the main people. I'm just showcasing what's going on as far as the main alumni team. So let me take myself away. So the main thing you have, of course you have Charlemagne, the promoter.

I think I had a whole list. Yeah, okay. Then you have Brian Edward Hill, which is the second person on this snapshot. So this is not just random people with Charlemagne put together.

very um they have a lot of uh accolades under the belt and then you have cohen the person you saw in a lot of different videos that i just played at the beginning of the segment well known for a legend legendary comic book artist and then when you look at bill i don't know how to say that last name what in the actual bill wasn't the actual hold oh to hold me one second because i'm trying to put respect on your name i do now want to butcher your last name bill sincowicz see silquence say i would had no, see, sequins? What, the actual? I thought he was sequencing. My fault. Let me hear that one more time. Who gave him that last name, bro?

Bill Sinkowitz. Sinkowitz. Bill Sinkiewicz. I think I said it correctly, hopefully. But he's the fourth person on this snapshot, and he's known for the distinctive experimental comic book artwork and the creative team collectively bringing decades of experience in comics and graphic storytelling. Now, when it comes to Sanford Green, I don't know why he's not on here. Hold on here.

Sanford. Oh, he's not on here at all. What in the actual? Hold on a second. Let me see. Who is Anford Green? Through all my research, his name did not pop up. What in the world?

The Illuminati book. All right, cool. After my Mickey research, safe to say the last person on this graphic, which is Sanford Green, he specifically, of course, helped out with the Illamonati book. and when it comes to that, he is, I don't know what he did with this. So basically, he's a acclaimed comic book artist and illustrator,

best known for, of course, providing the main cover art for Charlemagne's Illuminati graphic novel. So, you know, that's a pretty big deal. So, you know, that's why I wanted to look it up. So that's the main team. So when it comes to that, to put it in lamest terms,

Charlemagne is more of the marketing promoter of the book, the front-facing marketer. Brian is the writer. Dennis or Denise Cohen is the comic book artist. And then Bill Sinkiewicz is, of course, having help. Well, he's helped out in the comic book artwork as well. And then, of course, Sanford Green made the overall cover for the Illuminati graphic novel. Now, that out the way.

The main reason why I wanted to say all that and give them their kudos is because, of course, when you look at Charlemagne specifically and you think that, oh, he must have did everything with this book. No, ladies and gentlemen, there's a whole team that makes every operation work as smooth as possible, especially when you get to the highest levels.

And we're seeing that, once again, to tie back into the Illuminati. So when it comes to my review of the Illuminati, I'm going to have a spoiler-free review and I'm going to get into my spoilers. So, of course, I'm going to give you a warning whenever I get into my spoiler review. But the main thing I wanted to start off with was the hip hop covers.

Because ladies and gentlemen, this is not a spoiler. So that's why I'm putting in the spoiler-free aspect of the show. But of course, the hip-hop homage covers is fantastic. As if you don't know all of these specific covers have a meaning, of course, when you look at Chapter 1, it's basically Ice Cube's Death Certificate that was drawn by Sean Martin, Martinboro, and colors by Matt Hermes. And then you look at Chapter 2, which is DMX's Flesh of My Flesh.

And as far as this image that I'm showcasing right here, this is not the actual order I'm going there. I'm just talking about the book order. So Chapter 1 is the Ice Cube Death Certificate. I believe that's the one in the middle. Chapter 2 is DMX's Flesh in My Flesh, Blood of My Blood by Karen Grant. That's all the way to the left. chapter three red man's there is a dark side by irvin rodriguez and of course i'm 26 going on 80 so i don't know which one that is

red man's yeah i don't know which one that is chapter four day-lostles three feet high and rising by cow by cow baker once again 26 going on 80 i don't know what that is you know uh chapter 5 old dirty what in the world is a pg podcast return to the 36 chambers by denny hold Let me take myself away. By Denny's Cohen, Colors by Marco Lesko. And of course, those are all the inspirations for these covers. So if you are old head, all those names I said meant something to you. As far as me being 26, I was only able to point out to the Ice Q one and the DMX one.

So who would that be said? The reason why I say that is because there's a lot of obvious hip-hop homage in this specific comic book run. Now, it's 128 pages. And before you say, isn't this a comic book? Yes, that is on the short side. But you have to realize that this is a kickstart. This is a more of a origin. This is like a pilot, in my opinion.

The way that they're showcasing this story, it can continue in certain ways that I think will be very interesting going forward. But right now, this is a pretty solid pilot, in my opinion, in the comic book realm. So, yes, the first five chapters. is collectively 128 pages and common book world, that's not a lot. So I got through it in, I think, like, 20, 30 minutes. But to be fair, when you look at the price point,

it's about 18, no, it's, yes, 1899 for the Kindle, because I bought it on Kindle. But then when you look at the paper bag, it's $22. So overall, I would have got the hard cover, but I went to every single bookstore, they didn't have it. I was like, one, the actual? I was like, ain't no way a black man get treated like this.

But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? You know what I'm saying? Over here, I'm trying to go to every store. I'm calling. Like, y'all don't even understand. I showed up, you know, to my Barnes and Noblaze, you know what I'm saying?

All right, my fault. That's not how to pronounce it. You know, Barnes & Noble's, you know what? For the people who follow my clip channels, you know, my pronunciation, they don't be on point. So anyways, I went to multiple bookstores, right? And then, you know, calling around. It was like, yeah, we don't have that.

I'm like, man, what in the actual... See, this is what happened when everybody bought Batman, man. I kid you not. everybody bought Batman and now they don't have no more black people books you know what I'm saying anyways so that being said I ended up getting it on Kendall

because I had like five to seven comic book stores around my place so I was like surely they have this no they had it they did not so whenever I got into the Kindle version off the bat it was very professional on my you know obviously the team I just read off you would expect that but of course

you never know how they would treat these certain type of stories because of it may not have the popularity potential like a Spider-Man or Batman right so of course whenever you look into it as far as the writing the artwork is phenomenal

and I actually had pieces of the artwork I wanted to show because I did have a slight critique on one of the panels and I say one there's 128 pages so of course I'm nitpicking with this one but of course I read the book so you know I wanted to screenshot it and get my opinion so when it comes to that

the main thing I was wanting to showcase. Of course, I think I had the photos uploaded. And I don't know why I can't pull it up. Once again, 20, you know, what an actual case right here? So I don't know why I pulled up like this. So here's the first picture I wanted to pull up. And this one was pretty solid.

I like this part of the book as far as showcasing the artwork and how professional it is. I mean, it's just very solid, right? But then, and I know you may say I'm there picking, but then you come to look at this. Oh, hey, bro, ain't no way this went through, because apparently comic books have like multiple revisions, right? There's no way y'all looked at this woman face and said that this is acceptable. One actual, but what we doing, bro? You got it. You know what I'm saying?

Now, I don't want this part to go viral, so I'm going to take that off. That was only two seconds of my nitpick. Let's get back to the good artwork. But the main thing when you look at the Luminati artwork is very professional. And then there was imagery throughout the book, which I'm not getting ahead of myself, and I'm not showcasing spoilers. I'm basically um I'm basically showcasing certain things in the book

that I thought was very obvious and um is it okay I got my dope on me you know it's very interesting you know once again I'm not trying to sound like that one person I just don't like it man my fault man I was talking about you bro I just don't like that shit no that's on me bro I won't bring a name up again so you know I ain't trying to sound like a certain someone

as far as my conspiracy theories but you know this imagery showed up all throughout the comment book is it okay I got my dope on me you know I was just saying to myself But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? I was like, I know this ain't a Charlemagne book

promoted certain... I know that ain't who I think it is. Like, what you're trying to say? My brother, don't you know we can see you? We know you promoting this book. And this imagery is all throughout the book in a negative way. Very interesting.

I know that ain't who I think it is. So that would be one of the main questions I would ask Charlemagne. I kid you not, because I know exactly what he's doing. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? And you know, with Drake being my favorite artist, I just don't like it at all.

so anyways um but that being said the main thing i was wanting to get into uh well i already got to the main thing the other thing i was going to get into with the comic book is how heavily influential the music industry is on culture right and it kind of showcased that and the fast tracking of the main character so now let me talk about the main characters once again i'm not a professional comic book reviewer so this review is all over the place guess what you know what i'm saying man forget y'all no i just play i didn't mean that. So when it comes to

the actual review that I'm going to give it's not a professional I'm not a professional comic book reviewer this is just because two of my worlds collided

in a way that I thought was pretty interesting so I wanted to take notes so I do have notes ladies and gentlemen so anyways

my first note is of course talking about literally the main character now of course when it comes to the spoiler free aspects

I will hmm should I do I may save the characters for it to spoiler like the spoiler review. So as far as to wrap up my spoiler-free, I wanted to see if there was anything else I was going to get into. That's basically it. They had a story they wanted to tell. I think they executed

it beautifully. And when you look at other things as far as the actual comic book, I think it's so professional that I'm not going to say you're a hater if you don't check it out because, of course, you know, that's a little exaggerating a little bit. But when you want black creators to succeed and thrive in this space where everybody's trying to diminish certain groups and certain races as far as them not having influence on the world. If you don't support the top influencers, not top, but just influence in general that you think is making high quality music or high quality content, then I don't believe that you're actually pushing the culture for it.

So the reason why I'm even reviewing this is because one is high quality. I would not, honestly, if I didn't like this book, I just wanted to review it, honestly. I'll just be like, hey, bro, well, he dropped the dudge. But since I like it, I was like, let me review it because it's in the superhero realm, as in the common book space, and I'm obviously passionate about superheroes. So, getting back into my spoiler-free review. To wrap it up, the story they wanted to tell was phenomenal, a black content creator putting out high-quality product,

and that is why I wanted to support it. You know, I didn't even look at the price tag. You know what I'm saying? You feel me? I swear. Like, as far as the price tag, it could have been $50. okay I'm lying but basically when it comes to the price tag

the product as far as the marketing aspect was already top tier so I already knew at least I get a solid product and that's what it ended up being so another thing this is not an ad another thing is they do have a Kickstarter for the people who is wanting to see everything they offered and the only reason I'm pulling this up because this is not an ad once again

is because they actually have a pretty cool shirt that was actually wanting to get uh is this shirt right here so I was like oh maybe the people want to see it so if you want to actually dive deeper into the world of Illuminati they have a shirt The hat, not so much, you know, I ain't spent my senior year of college going through my growth phase with my hair to wear a hat. Now, I'm going to go about this like I usually do the TV and movies as far as breaking it down character by character, but still talking about the overall story. So when you look at Lily, the main character, the whole premise

is Lily traveling to Los Angeles after her sister dies. Her twin sister dies. her twin sister's Jackie so when it comes to that the investigative the investigation part of the story is primarily what you're going to be in for a majority of the story so the reason why I say that is because my main thing about the story is I would have liked more superhero like elements but once again comic books does not mean it has to be superhero content but I thought it was pretty interesting how they went about it in a way of I will compare to the Batman as far as more

it was more um invested investigating type of work being done in this comic book rather than a lot of action this is a good amount of action I mean you know in other more ways to one you know what I'm saying it's a PG podcast but when you read the book you know what I'm talking about it's a lot of action you know what I'm saying they're a little fast in that they fast in that comic book no cap I ain't talking about I ain't talking about I ain't talking about running. So anyways, with that being said, um, this, the reason why I compare it to Batman and the reason why I compare it to a specific Batman story as far as the movie with Robert Patterson is because there's a lot of investigative work. It's not a lot of like old

superhero like elements that'll blow your mind, right? But the mystery aspect is very much Batman Court of Owls type of, type of narrative that they're giving. And to me, I don't know if they knew that Batman Court of Owls was something they was doing in the Black Illuminati. I don't know if that came across the mind because Charlemagne said he was an X-Men fan, right? This story reminds me a lot of Batman Court of Ows because of how it set up as far as the Illuminati. Batman Court of Ows is technically Illuminati of the high-powered individuals that is the reason

why Gotham is the way it is. So systematically, that always answered the question, oh, why did Bruce Wayne not just handle the situations of Gotham with his money. Okay, now we have Court of Owls, which is one of the greatest Batman stories of all time. So what that means is said, getting back into Black Illuminati. I'm not going to make this long for no reason. My review of this story is that there's a lot of investigative work.

When it comes to the length of explaining the villain, which is Damien, I think that could have been expounded upon. That's my only critique. I think when you look at Michael, who. who is one of the protagonists in the comic book. His story is fleshed out a little bit, but when you look at the villain, I wanted to see who the villain answered to,

like who was the villain answering to? And I think that could have made the comic book a higher quality story. Because it seemed like he was doing certain rituals, but who was he doing it for? Obviously, the Illuminati is a group. Not once did we see the group, you know? and it's a five-chapter series,

so I would have let it slide if it was like a, oh, to be continued. Spoiler review. Lily dies at the end, you know what I'm saying? I mean, somebody got to say, it's a spoiler review. It's a spoiler review. I gave you all type of warnings. So when you look at the actual story, not only did Lily die at the end,

but it was basically wrapped up in a bow. It was like, oh, well, the villain won. You know what I'm saying? So we don't know anything about who the villain was talking to, what was his aspirations, what was the group, what was the discussions between the group? I think that would be the most important part of the comic book. Alumni Routable Discussions will be the best part of the comic book if they implemented correctly, sort of how the Batman Court of Owls did when they was talking about Batman

and getting him out of the pain because he was disrupting certain things in Gotham, right? The Batman Court of Owls is the greatest story you could go off of as far as inspiration for what the story you're currently telling. because I believe that is the route that you're going. So if you want to nail it, I think you should look at one of the storylines that nailed it perfectly. So anyways, the reason why I say that

is because of the owl usage. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? Now, getting into my spoiler review. The villain literally has a lot of owl imagery. Obviously, poking fun at Drake. I know Drake is literally on the top of their minds while drawing these comic book covers. And if you say, oh, you're just being a conspiracy theorist, if you read the book, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

They make the owl as the main logo for all that is a Lumini type of material. And what's the Illuminati? Sacrificing people for the reward of monetary and popularity gain, right? So now, when you look at Charlemagne's history with Drake, it makes all the sense in the world. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? On why they would depict and portray the owl. as something very evil in this in society so i thought that was a very interesting uh you know

that was an interesting perspective i'm not mad at it you know drake is my favorite artist but i can understand when somebody doesn't like somebody and they put their imagery their main logo ovio october's very own as far as the owl in the comic book and again and again repeatedly showcase that owl as the uh the uh villains's main which is interesting. So anyways, when it comes to the rest of the story, as far as Jackie, the main character's sister, I thought that was the closest they got to superhero land as far as Michael, one of the other protagonists in the comic book being able to see Lily.

I thought that was pretty cool. And I think that raised the quality level for me. Her conversation with Michael, I think, is one of the better parts of the comic book. And if I had to say another part of the comic book that stood out, I liked, what was the name, Akasha. So she was the villain's sidekick. I liked her bringing Lily in and getting and breaking her guard down. Because if you notice, in a comic book, once again, this is a spoiler, right?

In the comic book, Michael is going to save Lily. Lily is definitely on the same mindset of Michael if we got to take these people down. There was something that happened with Akasha and Lily that we never see in a comic book. Of course, she offers her a drink. She's like, oh, I drink it too, just so you don't think it's poison or anything. And by the time Michael gets to the location, and he's killed multiple people, right? I don't know why Damien was in there to confront him.

That would have been cool. But Lily pops up and she was like, you're no longer needed here. I'm exactly where I need to be. And then there's a time jump. And now Lily has all the fame in the world. And now she's with the Illuminati. I think that could have been explained a lot better

as far as showcasing what happened in the Akasha Lily conversation at the end chapter after Lily died. Like after Lily died, Michael was like, dang, they got her. I think they should have went back and explored that conversation that Akasha had with Lily that converted her into the Illuminati. Just plot points I'm giving that I think will expound upon the actual quality of the comic book. What else, man? I don't want to make this too long, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed the comic book. So a lot of the critiques I have is slight critiques.

Overall, I thought it was a solid story. I went into it thinking it was being more of like a superhero type beat. and it was more of a, once again, more of a Batman, uh, Sherlock Holmes type B, not on the level of Sherlock Holmes as far as them having to go to different locations and put the plot points together. But just as it be more of an investigative type of storyline, rather than, oh, superhero, we're going to settle our differences

by punching each other in the face. Um, Michael definitely has some superhero-esque moments, some Punisher-esque moments, but when you look at Damien specifically, I would have been interested to see him having actual powers as far as him facing Michael and maybe Michael um being spared by Damien after we see Damien's powers um just you know the little um ideas I'm throwing out there for like the next installment of the Illuminati if we ever get one because right now is doing fantastic I never got

to that point I did show the Kickstarter but I forgot to talk about the Kickstarter success because I think they had over like 300% success of the Kickstarter like if you see right here um the Kickstarter. I don't know, that's his $200 million deal. My fault, my fault. Yeah, I'm saying? Oh, I'm stitch it, ain't it? All right. I think when it comes to the Kickstarter, it's, uh, did I close it? It's no way I close it. I think it's right here. Okay, cool. So, um, yeah, I don't know. I don't know where I put it. Oh, it's right here. Okay, cool. So anyways, when you look at the success, as you can see, it generated over $34,000, $671 backers, which if you don't know, though that was not their goal right they they blew their goal out of the water so when you look at

their goals specifically their Kickstarter once again is not an ad i'm just talking about the statistical success of this comic book when you look at this specifically their goal as far as the kickstarter it was um what was it that yeah their goal for the kickstarter was uh 10 000 right obviously you can see you can see right now analytic dreams video on spot to see the video along with the audio from september 17 to 22nd, 2024, that was this campaign. They wanted to generate $10,000. Now, of course, it is 2026, but still, $34,000. And I believe that was even before it came out.

I don't know the exact span, the time span when the 34,000 was raised, but it was 345% over the actual goal, which of course is phenomenal, 671 backers and successfully funded quickly. Okay, so it said it was quickly. So with that being said, the main reason why i'm showcasing that is because i do believe there's going there can be another installment based on the success of the kick start started and based on the success of the comic book so i will say for the future installments of charlemagne's the black illuminati they should showcase

damien's powers they should showcase damien circle because the aluminati the main thing about the illuminati is that as a group we never once seen a group so we need to see the group more of damien's powers if he even has any because he's doing some type of ritual with the owl you know, cutting himself or whatever, a trick or warning. But we never, like, they never explored it. Like, what type? Powers? Or what?

You don't have powers? So he just, he just, all right. So I think that could be explored. As far as Michael, I don't think he's the most interesting protagonist. That's why I think Lily was so important in the story. And because she died at the end, I wonder how they're going to do that. They're going to resurrect her on some superhero type beat because, you know, superheroes die all the time and come back.

You know what I'm saying? But did you just die yesterday? But yeah, I'm back. because you got to make some more comic books. So with that being said, they could easily bring back Lily. But just on food for thought as far as the continuation of the Black Aluminati. So with that being said, hopefully I enjoyed my thorough spoiler review. Hopefully enjoyed the analytical breakdown of the book and the success

and everybody who had a hand and actual creation of this book. Shout out to the team once again. Charlemagne once again showcases that he's one of the most powerful black influences and cultural in general and just very multi-flat. faceted because it's not once that I bring up, well, I guess I did bring up his Netflix deal a little bit. But when you look at him specifically, there's just so many factors to what he's doing as far as the brilliant idiots, as far as the Breakfast Club, as far as his book in print, already having success with his own books, helping out other people.

I didn't even talk about the producing that he's been doing for other New York Times bestsellers. He's done that multiple times as far as producing New York Times bestsellers, which is not easy. out. Well, I guess, you know, Charlomaine is based out of New York on the radio promoting books. But still, you know, if you read the Black Privilege, it didn't used to be like that. That's why I really like his story. Black Privilege, that book is still

my favorite Charlemagne book because it showcased how somebody from South Carolina grew up all the way to being one of the main focal covers of the hip-hop industry. And for him to be based out of New York as far as the show, The Breakfast Club,

and it being, uh, syndicated. I think that's a humongous accomplishment. That's one of the biggest accomplishments we've seen in the black community. So, but that means saying, you know, enough glaze. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I like the book. I'm not going to give her a rating like out of 10 because I don't really do that. I would just, I would recommend it. It's not going to blow you out of the water, but it just might. You know, it just might. But as far as the story, you know, I think it's fantastic.
