Getting into the second track off of the weekend's album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.
If you didn't know, the specific track that's track to titled Cry for Me is basically co-produced by Metro Boomer and Mike Dean.
So if you didn't know, the weekend worked with Mike Dean and Metro Boomer for the second track of his album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.
And basically, the track has incorporated samples from SOS band.
and the work in the late 80s to early 90s,
basically adding more of a nostalgia factor to the sound.
Now, very interesting because not only did the first track
have a Michael Jackson Thriller sample,
now the second track has the SOS band sample
from the late 80s to early 90s.
So it's kind of like the weekends letting us know
what type of direction that he's about to go into
because when you get into the overall
a cohesive body of work that is hurry up tomorrow and then you look at the follow-up and elude
which is basically I Can't Sing because you know it's a peachy podcast so we're just going to say
I can't sing and then follow it up with the single that's already been out title of Sale Paul
I don't even know how you pronounce that sale Paolo I don't even know but you know it's been out
for a while and so basically the first two tracks the first two tracks are to show you that
he's going in more of a nostalgia like lane and then he transitions to his single and then of course
he gets into the rest of the body of work but his first two tracks having these hard hitting
very hard to get samples from not only michael jackson but other and then also the sOS band kind of
shows you that when you showcase how much you enjoy music as far as being a student of the game
combine that with being one of the greatest vocalists of all time
and they combine that with having one of the greatest producers of all time
as far as Metro booming and Mike Dean for your second
track off of your 22 track album
is kind of showcasing that people are going to listen
to this entire body of work because they see and hear
the effort put into the overall cohesive
effort of hurry up tomorrow
And that is why I think that the weekend genuinely is one of the greatest artists of all time.
Like in general, I think singing is harder from a talent, not even a talent, from a skill standpoint.
If you can't sing, if you can't rap and you're trying to learn one or the other, I think rapping is easier to learn than singing.
Because there's a lot more that goes into singing than it does for rapping.
Right.
So with that being said, I think the way that the weekend takes,
very measurable efforts into creating these great bodies of work should be appreciated.
And I think that is why a lot of people are just clamoring over this album because not only does
he have very acclaimed samples, but he also has already solidified producers along with
himself, being one of the greatest artists of all the time.
So that being said, click my link to my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
what do you think about the weekend's track cry for me and it incorporating samples from the sOS
band and if you've listened to the album what is your favorite track off of the album currently
