Starting point is 00:00:03 It has finally happened. Playboy Cardi has entered his name into the race when it comes to streaming via DSP and all the statistics that that entails. Because for the longest, my only critique about Playboy Cardi teasing this new album titled I Am Music is just for the simple fact that all the his tracks that were charting were attached to other people's. names as far as at the weekend as far as Kanye West Drake none of his tracks are on the charts currently as far as his name being attached to those so now it is up to him to rely solely on himself or himself to impact the charts because I don't know if y'all know but he could have been still on the charts if he was to put himself or keep himself on the track titled no face which is currently the 60th most played track in the world I mean y'all can guess who made that track right the goat just to you know just in case you didn't guess right but um playboy
Starting point is 00:01:08 cardy no longer has a big name to attach himself to so it is all on himself to release music via his own platform instead of attaching his name to somebody else which it's nothing wrong with that because of course somebody would just probably say oh that's just great networking while that is also true playbacarty does need to put up stats by himself uh for us to think that he's still on top of this game when it comes to being a hip hop power player in the overall industry. Because one of the things I notice is that this specific track is under AWGE. Now what is that? I'm glad you ask.
Starting point is 00:01:50 It's a creative agency founded by ASAP Rocky. No wonder he was knocking off name brand members in his crew, right? as ASAP Rocky with his creative agency, AWGE, works very closely with Playboy Cardi. Now, I'm not saying Playboy Cardi is officially under the ASAP Rocky mantra, or else he would probably have ASAP before Playbri Cardi. I'm saying that in a traditional sense, the creative process has led to them collaborating in more ways than one,
Starting point is 00:02:27 which and result of that came up with AWGE because now you have a collective coming together to put out
Starting point is 00:02:40 creative bodies of work and one of the biggest things from this as far as the AWGE creative agency is track New Chapa it was all the way back then when this was actually put together
Starting point is 00:02:52 so PlayBickardi and AESAP have a strong creative collaborative process. I had no idea that that was even a thing. Because listening to this track, you would have thought that he had a strong collaborative process with future. Because this specific track all red is personally solid to me. Usually for the most part, Playboy Cardi's music is not my cup of tea. But this man came on the track sounding like the second coming to future Hendricks. and all I have to say is if you can't make your own sauce by yourself,
Starting point is 00:03:32 then might as well copy somebody, right? I mean, Playboy Carty is just out here attaching his name to the biggest artist in the world and then when it is his time to come out and put his own music officially, putting out a single on DSPs, he sounds like a whole established artist who's already an icon in the Atlanta scene,
Starting point is 00:03:50 which is future. So no Playbury Cardi fan could tell me that they don't listen to this all red, track and automatically think future. At one point, I looked at the credits because I thought future was feature, but no, that was just Playboy Cardi, embracing his shape-shifting abilities as far as getting into the future style of vocals and just vocal inflection. So that's definitely a future reference track if I've ever heard one.
Starting point is 00:04:26 And I'm like a bad way to future, like a bad way to play with Cardi. Like you're just copying people now. So as far as overall track, I like it. I think it's solid. The album, I Am Music, is expected to be released by the end of 2025. But rappers lie all the time. But more specifically, play Ricardi lies 90% at a time. So with that being said, he's been on a lot of tracks that have impacted the masses
Starting point is 00:04:56 when it comes to the no face track even though he wasn't on the official ds p release when it comes to the carnival track which literally people don't give conier his credit for going number one being an independent artist but earlier this year Kanye was the one holding up hip-hop at his highest level competing with the countries the pop um the k-pops of the world it was Kanye going number one independently and which track from that album was one of the more standouts Carnival who was on that play with Cardi so I'm not saying he doesn't effectively add to certain tracks but I think it's more of a overall mystique about him that adds to the anticipation the music quality I think consistently is subpart
Starting point is 00:05:47 so when you have subpar of music I think a lot of people are going to be more skeptical on your singles, which is why the whole copying something that already works is an interesting strategy when it comes to all red. Because now people are going to automatically assume it's future rapping and they're going to like the track because Playbicard is already a big name, so you're just going to think he has future along with him on the track. I'm not saying he's trying to fool anybody. I'm just saying the straight up copying of future's flow, melody, melodic style, cadence, everything is just very intriguing as far as a decision and the decision you came to when it comes to your first single for an album you've been promoting and claiming will come out or should have came out since this year and last year so to be fair whole lot of red is playbred
Starting point is 00:06:44 cardi's last album and i actually enjoyed whole lot of red so that was probably my favorite Cardi album when it comes to all time. I know a lot of people are used to the self-titled album where he had looking, woke up like this, New Chapa. I mean, he had a lot of pivotal tracks on that album. But for me personally, a whole lot of red was the track that stood out for me. So when it comes to this new album, I'll be interested to see what type of tone he goes with. But all I have as far as a personal suggestion is that he makes another track like Sky.
Starting point is 00:07:23 don't know what it is but sky was by far and away my favorite track off of whole lot of red so hopefully he could do something like that i mean as far as the influence from future um inherently all throughout this track i think that's maybe the direction he's trying to go uh towards with this album because you got you have to remember that this is a single so at the end of the day he's most proud of this track to put it out in front of his project and make it the lead rollout for his album so when comes to his album i mean he says coming out soon do of that what you will i do believe he will eventually put out this album i just don't think he will come out anytime soon i would say mid to late 2025 at best so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know on one of my social
Starting point is 00:08:14 media is what do you think about playwright carty's latest single not latest his his first official solo single for his upcoming album i am music and do you think is fire or trash.
