Starting point is 00:00:00 The Canadian beef is never ending as when somebody contributes so much to one of your most iconic, classic-like projects, he's always going to be connected to you in a way that even if it's five years later, they're still going to compare when y'all collab with this particular company. now what in the world am i talking about right now well ladies and gentlemen this segment is about the weekend being one of the acts in the fortnight festival set to happen literally at this very moment so the availability of his item skin is in the item shop so but the end date of the fortnight festival is not the determined yet. Basically, the big thing with this is that
Starting point is 00:01:02 Fortnite is a mammoth of a gaming company at this very moment. And the weekend is a mammoth of an artist at this very moment. So this collab is almost on the same level as when McDonald's and Travis Scott collab. I think the weekend, keep in mind, the weekend not too long ago, headlined the Super Bowl as far as performing. So this is a big deal. So the weekend is effectively using different skins or having different skins attributed to him in Fortnite as you can see right here, analytic dreams video on my Spotify channel to see
Starting point is 00:01:42 the video along with the audio version. But these are the different skins we have for the weekend and Fortnite. My favorite one is of course the one with the Doom mask because I'm like, where in the world did that fashion choice come from? But that's besides the point. So you're probably wondering how to obtain this for my avid Fortnite fans. You already know how to get items in game shop as V-bucks is what you use to get shop, get items in the shop. And all you have to do is just go to the weekends tab and the item shop and purchase it
Starting point is 00:02:17 using V-bucks, whether you purchase it or you earn it in game. I think there's two ways to do that. Yeah, I ain't played Fortnite so long. I know there's been so many micro-transactions and things of that nature, but as far as as earning it in-game, I don't know how long that would take. But I do know the specifics of the item. So the weekend combat skin can be bought separately for 1,800 V-bucks, and a past bundle is available for 3,500 V-bugs, including the weekend's combat skin and additional style.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Cosmetic items in the bundle includes outfits, pickax, weapon wraps back bling emotes and loading screen so as far as the live event because that's what that's the only thing i care by i'm not even i'm sorry to disappoint you fortnight fans but i just care about the weekend performing in a game format because i think this is gonna i'm not gonna say change the game because that's too much that's too on the nose you know what i mean i'm just gonna say that the way that the weekend sounds as far as sonically is top tier and in a game and in a video game format, I feel like they could enhance that
Starting point is 00:03:30 to a degree where I am anticipating a once in a lifetime type of performance. Hopefully, that's not too much as far as glazing, but hey, the weekend is one of my favorite artists of all time. I always say Drake, that's why I started off this segment about the Canadian beef
Starting point is 00:03:50 because if you don't know, they're both from Canada and Tori Lanes too, but, you know, he's locked up. So the weekend, Drake, have always had that back and forth after the weekend notoriously had a lot of ghost writing um additions to take care and after that people attributed take care to be in the weekend's album which i don't think that's fair for drake but you know ever since then we haven't had a drake in the weekend collab and i think there's a reason for that so anyways um fortnight's history well fortnight has had a history of collaborating with the biggest of
Starting point is 00:04:28 artists in the music industry. I mean, they collab with marshmallow and men Nimm and many others. Oh, and Travis Scott. That man's everywhere, ain't he? But also, I wanted to get into the Canadian beef because y'all are probably still wondering why in the world that I start the segment off like that, right? Well, if you don't know, for those who are into gaming and not even into gaming, this was just a moment in pop culture. It wasn't even just a gaming space. Drake, aka the goat, played Fortnite with one of the biggest creators
Starting point is 00:05:01 at the time for that specific game called, and he called himself Ninja on March 14th, 2028. And let me tell you, this was one of the biggest moments in gaming, music, and just pop culture history
Starting point is 00:05:18 overall. I think Drake was a pioneer in collaborating, collaborating with a content creator to the point where it seemed cool. Because if you don't know, no other artists would have been able to pull this off like Drake. Nowadays, it's seeming more, people are more receiving to seeing their quote-unquote, hardcore street rappers collaborating with content creators. Because if you don't know, gaming, and believe me when I say this, gaming compared to hip-hop is two totally different worlds as far as culture-wise, etiquette-wise,
Starting point is 00:05:59 and unfortunately definitely hygiene-wise you've been to a gaming convention anyways so this collab was out of the ordinary and especially the numbers that it did because 628,000 concurrent viewers for that Twitch stream when Drake played with Ninja and also brought a whole new audience to Fortnite because not only was people there to hear Drake and watch Drake play Fortnite but it introduced them to a game that was so incaptivating that they even started to played a game even after the stream which is w marketing strategy in my opinion and another thing was discord user milestone where Drake registered as a um um uh Drake registered as a discord user for the stream highlighting the platforms growing importance in the gaming communities I don't know how many times
Starting point is 00:06:52 I talked to quote unquote gamers told them about discord and they don't even know what it is I'm like How are we going to communicate? Obviously, we can use it in-game chat, but if you don't know, Discord is basically like 10 times better quality-wise than game audio. Like it's literally a noticeable difference. It's like night and day type difference. It's not one of those. Oh, if you squint or if you listen hard enough, you can tell the difference. It's night and day using Discord versus using game chat.
Starting point is 00:07:20 So anyways. Drake collabbing with Ninja on Fortnite was a legendary occurrence. that broke multiple streaming records and just set pop culture in the blaze to showcase how gaming is and can be cool if you let it. So now people are more lenient
Starting point is 00:07:40 when their hardcore street rappers collab with a person like Kaisenet, a person like, I want to say academics, but he'd been doing that. I'm trying to think, who else? A person like Aiden. So Aiden, Kysenet, other content creators
Starting point is 00:07:58 in the space, who just get brought out of nowhere like Bobby Althoff basically you get what I'm saying right it's becoming more okay to collab with certain type of content creators and still keep your hip hop image because if you don't know in the past
Starting point is 00:08:15 let one of them street rappers collab with somebody who made content now granted internet was nowhere as far as advanced it is now but I'm just giving you a little example of how Drake just completely pioneered that move but anyways that's enough talking about the other Canadian let's get into the main Canadian for this segment the weekend is going to headline this
Starting point is 00:08:41 festival it launches today tonight it should be going on right now and features a plethora of various artists like Billy Elish Olivia Rodriguez Kendrick Lamar yes Kendrick Lamar himself the guy who goes away five years in between his album he's going to be at this event and introduces a new music mode and Fortnite allowing players to play instruments synced with festival jam tracks. So I expect this performance
Starting point is 00:09:12 to be one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in life. And no, I am not joking in the slightest. So anyways, click my link to your bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about the weekend headlining Fortnite Festival and will you be giving it a listen?
Starting point is 00:09:30 Because once again, Fortnite is a free game. You can download it right now if you have a console and internet. I mean, that should go without saying. But download the free Fortnite game and watch the Fortnite festival. And if you do, let me know
Starting point is 00:09:43 what was your favorite part of what I already know is going to be an iconic performance.
