Now, I just feel like Canadians need to stick together.
That is my take on this whole fiasco when it comes to the weekend,
basically giving a whole EP effort in this new addition to the future
and metro rollout.
As we still don't trust you having multiple features from the weekend.
It makes sense because, of course, it's a different type of vibe to go in for.
I would say more of a melodic value.
I'm not going to say it's genre bending,
but it's definitely a different sound from future,
putting out something that's definitely different
from We Don't Trust You.
So in that aspect,
I would say they accomplished the mission
and putting out quality music
that contains future Metro and the weekend.
But as far as the lyrical takes,
It's very interesting because the way that the weekend goes about this, he kind of just gives offerings that's very vague, but people are trying to attribute it as a diss towards Drake.
But I don't really think of that.
I think the weekend is playing off of maybe dissing Drake, but it's too vague to actually pinpoint it.
He literally says, they shooters making TikToks got us laughing in the Lambo.
promise that i got your back like that's very vague the weekend saying that i don't know what type of
uh stay in power that's going to have in the grand scheme of things because who in the world is
looking at weekend as a actual opponent when it comes to lyrically going against drake so
him being on this album multiple times i think it's just a uh tribute to his past well his just
long lasting relationship with future and him wanting to help out
on the album. I actually don't think that weekend wants any smoke, nor do I think he has some
type of diabolical plan where if Drake responds, he has a whole Drake disc track. I think he's just
literally giving some verse offerings to an album for his friends, which technically, like the
goat said, there's no friends in the industry. It's all monetary gain as far as these
relationships. But on the other hand, he could have just sat it out.
and said, no, you know, the whole movement towards going at my Canadian brother is not right, you know.
Being from Ontario is one of those things, which is, you know, in Canada, it's one of those things where you would think you have some type of regional respect when it comes to your fellow counterpart as The Weekend and Drake are two of the most popular artists in the world.
so giving your status giving your type of star power to this album directed at arbor graham i just think
is futile and i just don't honestly believe that the weekend wants to smoke i think he's just doing it
for um the look i think he's giving verses to his brothers because he likes them i don't even know if
his organic maybe he just i mean future just seems like he's so out the way that why would drake even
have beef with him but that's a whole other conversation so for the weekend to give multiple offerings
as far as verses for this album i'm not too i'm not putting too much credence on it he's basically just
jumping out the window um picking his side and if you don't know the ovo exo beef you know drake
tried to sign the weekend the weekend didn't want to end up like party next door part two so
he ended up having his own career
and we've seen where that worked out for him
I see a lot of people talking about
oh if you want to sign the Drake
your career is going to be over
and if you don't sign the Drake your career is going to blow up
like the weekend the weekends are very
he's very much the 1%
of the 1%
an outlier that would not always happen to a person
that thinks they're going to have a bigger career
just because they don't sign with Drake
because I would give you
what's his name
I love
Maconan I think that's his name
anyways he tried to do the same thing
and look where here's
look where his career is at
so no disrespect to him
I'm just giving an example
on how it doesn't always work out
to take the alternative route
and not signing with Drake
so people acting like
if Drake tries to sign you
it's going to be the end of your career
which you know
I would say if you're a ghost writer
it would be in your best
interest to try to become the top pin for Drake when it comes to different genres.
But as far as trying to end up like the weekend or thinking you're going to be the weekend
just because you don't sign the Drake, it's not going to happen.
The weekend is one of one literally the most played artists on Spotify, like literally.
And you have artists like Taylor Swift literally in her prime.
So for the weekend to be on this album multiple times is definitely significant.
But as far as the hard hitting bars towards Drake, I don't even think.
he's really going at him like that so anyways that was just my review of the first track all to myself
with future metro and the weekend which is track eight off of we still don't trust you so let's get
to the next track is this just going to be me pinpointing certain tracks off of the album and me
just giving my sentiments on the overall um impact that it will have as far as the whole
drake and kendrick beef because that's basically what all boils down to that's
That's the big war that's happening currently.
Drake versus Kendrick.
Kendrick doesn't have a verse on we still don't trust you.
So now Drake has finally culminated all of the disses that has been attributed towards him
and he is ready to fireback.
And best believe he is definitely going to fireback.
So that being said, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about future Metro and the weekend basically teaming up like
the Avengers to go at Drake and what is your favorite track from a weekend contributed track
off of this new album?
