Now, track 16 off of We Still Don't Trust You is another offering from The Weekend.
And it has 18 songs, but if you actually go to the album, they implemented a lot of new tracks.
And I don't know why, but they started off with a Charlemagne diatribe, basically talking about how future is basically a part of the Fantastic Four, which I just think plays off.
off of Charlemagne's love for comic books and superhero type content.
I don't really think it's anything significant in the hip-hop space.
I think he just wanted to get off that fantastic four bar
because Lord knows that Jermaine is nowhere near the top five after what he just did
in the past week.
So anyways, the weekend with this new album,
well, with his contributions to this new album,
It's very interesting because it's definitely a different lane that he's going down.
And I think the biggest thing with the weekend being on this album is giving it star appeal that otherwise would not have.
Y'all would be fooling yourself to say that you would have been tuning in to this album if you didn't think Kendrick was going to be dropping another disc towards Drake.
So with the album title, we still don't trust you.
We thought it was going to be a continuation from We Don't Trust You.
literally I was thinking you know how like that kind of trails off and it doesn't really end I thought we was going to get that as the second verse and then Kendrick was going to give us another disverse towards Drake but hey I guess he's waiting for a Drake to unload the clip because reportedly both sides has full on disc tracks towards each each other and they're just waiting for one or the other to drop Drake's definitely coming pause so at this very moment I think he's
he's just culminating all of the dis is attributed towards him and best believe that's why
it didn't drop on Thursday.
I think it'll probably be maybe tomorrow or the next day.
I don't know.
But Aesap Rocky dissing him.
He probably just added another 8 to 16 bars towards his disc track because Drake is basically going
up against Rick Ross, Future, Metro, Kendrick, Aesep, and maybe the weekend.
the weekend really didn't say anything too heavy i mean he talked about how he didn't want to sign his
life away or whatever but um that's just the play off of the whole ovo thing and how you know drake tried
to sign the weekend all the way back in what 2014 2015 and the weekend basically went on to do
his own thing with exo and so drake felt some type of way about it because they're both from
Ontario is a it was a match made in heaven with the with crew love still to this day being
maybe my favorite hip hop song ever I just like Drake and the weekend on the same track
there's a reason why the AI track with Drake in the weekend hard on my sleeve has so much
traction with the masses it's simply for the fact that if the weekend and Drake locked themselves
into a studio and came out with the body of work it will be it would be inferior
to no other project.
It would be basically the best body of work
that we could get as hip hop and R&B is considered,
in my opinion.
So, honestly, I'm a little biased
because I like Drake.
I like the weekend.
But them going back and forth
over a whole project
is something that the world is just
completely missing out on because we got this
random beef, which is definitely
over a woman.
And even though people try to say
that future is not beefing with Drake,
simply because of what.
women, we just know that's not the case. Nine times out of ten, if these rappers or music,
these artists are beefing, it's simply over women. If it's not women, then tell us the real reason,
which of course they won't do because it's over a woman. So anyways, yeah, that's basically
my own sense. I don't really have too much to say about this. The deluxe edition didn't really
do too much for me. I mean, ASAP's on it, J-Co's on it, which we're about to get to in the next
two segments but as far as the weekend aspect all i got to say is the long lasting relationship
with the monetary relationship because i really don't think any of these guys are like authentically
friends but the monetary relationship is paying off as the weekend is adding his star power to
this deluxe edition and it's kind of a continuation as he was technically on we don't trust you
at the beginning of the album but it wasn't like a fooled verse and that's simply because
He had like four to, I don't know how many times he was on this new album.
But basically that's why they hinted at it like that because he was going to be throughout this whole project.
So future Metro weekend, just a great combination of talents.
And I just think that's all it is.
I don't think it's any type of animosity towards Drake, which it probably is, but I don't think it's that serious.
I think it's just the weekend wanting to give more offerings to Metro and future because they have, let's not act like they haven't collared in the past.
So with that being said, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about the weekend's contributions to this new album?
We still don't trust you.
And what is your favorite track that he was on in this album?
