Starting point is 00:00:00 And I hope that I'll find what I'm looking for. I hope that he's watching from above. I'm done with the lies. I'm done with the loss. I hope this confession is enough. So I see the heaven after love. I want heaven when I die. I want to change.
Starting point is 00:00:23 I want the pain no more. I need heaven after love. I want heaven. when I die. I want to change. I want the pain. No more. No more.
Starting point is 00:00:37 No more. What does you think this is a sequel to Wakanda? Anyways. So all jokes aside, that was the last lines off of the finale of the trilogy as far as the weekends
Starting point is 00:00:51 after hours into dawn and film and to hurry up tomorrow. And then that was officially the last track off of the album which is self-titled, well, self-titled after the album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. So when you look at it, I think hurry up tomorrow when it comes to the weekend is obviously saying that he's ready to retire.
Starting point is 00:01:18 So what does retirement mean for the weekend? I do believe that he's going to get into maybe more of his acting career. the finale of The Weekends music is definitely It's kind of tough because if you really think about it The Weekend is one of the greatest vocalists of all time If not the greatest And he's talking about retiring a character That he feels like he's mastered
Starting point is 00:01:41 As he said himself in an interview So now you're giving us a body of work Like this that's so masterful And then basically using different transitions To get the production level To a certain point To where people are to understand that this may be the finale as you put your all into this final track.
Starting point is 00:02:01 And if you look at it in totality, this man has given us classic after classic after classic. And now that he may be done, it may be hard to picture where he would go next, which is why now I'm going to basically assume and guess to where I think he would take his career. If the HBO show the idol told us one thing, besides, you know, from the trash plot that they lost, I think that the weekend's acting career could be a nice venture. But I do believe that when it comes to the weekend, it's not a lot of gigs that he could get as far as showcasing his range as an actor. Because they're going to want him to prove it.
Starting point is 00:02:50 And he already tried on the idol and inevitably failed. I mean, HBO canceled this, second season and with that you already have one miss on your belt as an already um unproven actor so now it's going to be difficult to get more into the acting field as a star because you probably want to star and tv shows which is probably how he got off the HBO show because he added a whole soundtrack to the show which is phenomenal by the way and still has one of the better performing tracks off of the weekend's discography as far as one of the girls with Jenny. I think one of the girls with Jenny is one of the more pivotal tracks that the weekend
Starting point is 00:03:35 has released in the past, probably two years. So for that to come on a soundtrack, obviously I'm just guessing, but I would assume that had a lot to do with him starring in the actual TV show. It's him giving an actual project to accompany the show. So now, when you look at it, from a totality standpoint, if you're finished making music, what is going to be your next venture that people are going to anticipate as much as they anticipated you releasing music? Prime example, Rihanna. Rihanna went from Ante, which was a classic body of work,
Starting point is 00:04:11 retired. Yeah, she retired and basically went on to Fenty Beauty, which is estimated to have made way more than her musical career. So with that being said, I think that's an interesting venture that you could go down as far as the fashion industry. But I just don't see where we go from here. And I guess that happens at every single creative venture when it reaches its conclusion. But now that we're at the end, it's kind of tough because you realize that the weekend is no longer here. Like he seemingly has officially retired. So with that being said, click my link to my bio.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Let me know one of my social media is, what do you think about the weekend's album, Hurry Up Tomorrow? What do you think about the track titled, Hurry Up Tomorrow? And where do you predict that the weekend will go from here now that he's officially and seemingly retired from music?
