Episode Date: January 31, 2025Linktree: https://linktr.ee/AnalyticIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz delves deep into The Weeknd's latest and potentially final album under his iconic stage name, 'Hu...rry Up Tomorrow.' Released on January 31, 2025, through XO and Republic Records, the album was initially planned for an earlier release but postponed due to the LA wildfires, with The Weeknd contributing $1 million to aid relief efforts. This album concludes a trilogy that began with 'After Hours' in 2020 and continued with 'Dawn FM' in 2022. 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' features collaborations with artists like Justice, Anitta, Florence + The Machine, Travis Scott, Future, Playboi Carti, Lana Del Rey, and Giorgio Moroder on tracks that explore new musical territories. Notably, the much-anticipated "Dancing in the Flames" did not make it to the final cut.The Weeknd has described this project as his farewell to the persona he's mastered, signaling a shift towards new creative ventures. Alongside the album, a psychological thriller film of the same name, starring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, is set for release on May 16. The segment also covers promotional events including a NYC Pop-Up Experience with Spotify and a Hot Topic Takeover in Las Vegas with exclusive merch. Additionally, proceeds from the track "Take Me Back to LA" are being donated to the LA Regional Food Bank. Analytic Dreamz explores whether 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' truly marks the end of The Weeknd or just a transformation into something new, reflecting on his legacy of blending music, film, and immersive storytelling.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Getting into track nine of the Weekends Hurry Up Tomorrow album, which as far as track nine and it being specifically titled, Reflections Laughing, let me tell you something.
As far as not having actual features listed on an album, I'm not as mad for these premier superstars if they have superstars along with them as features.
Because I think it really hurts any up-and-coming artists, but it seems like all of the artists that I listened to, that I heard,
on this album were all superstars as far as from i think i heard billy elish i think i heard well no i know i
heard future and then of course for this specific track reflections laughing the one and only
travis scott is on this now when it comes to the weekend and travis scott
if the weekend wants to retire the name the weekend and go as some other name i need a collab
album first now would travis scott be the artist that i want a collab album with no because he has a
collab album out with Cuevo so I think that kind of waters down the brand I don't care what other
Travis Scott fan I don't care what Travis Scott fans say I think whenever you do collab albums with too many
people waters down the actual collab part of the album because now you're just making a bunch of tracks
with everybody it's not a collab album you're collaborating with everybody you know and so with that being
considered I was trying to think to myself who would be on the weekends level as far as a collab
album and then you know what the thought came to me that if bad bunny in the weekend put out a collab
album earth may just shut down i ain't going to lie to you earth may shut down and it may be a mandatory
listening session issued by the aliens the aliens are going to come down and let everybody on earth
know we're listening to the bad bunny and weekend album all at the same time earth is going to shut down
if Bad Bunny in the Weekend ever do a collab album.
I was trying to think to myself,
who would be on the weekends level
that could challenge him enough artistically
and switch up the pace enough
to not make the collab album
to drown out the monotony
or to switch up to monotony?
I think that's what I mean.
So that's the artist that came to my mind.
I don't know about y'all.
Like, I don't know who would you want to hear
on, like, at the weekend,
collab album.
album and I was trying to think maybe maybe Kendrick I think a Kendrick in the weekend
collab album would be fire I mean Kendrick and Siza I think I'm making a collab album so I don't
know if that'll work out but I was just trying to think to myself because obviously reflections
laughing is phenomenal to you know bring a full circle as far as this specific segment
reflections laughing featuring Travis Scott I mean pray for your love wonderful skeletons
wake up circus maximus I mean goodness every time these
two on a track they go insane it's like the chemistry is through the roof every single time they
put out a track together and i'm like at this point i need a collab album i just don't know if i want it from
travis scott i think i want it from somebody else that we haven't heard him collab with a lot
because i'm like if i was to look it up let me just use this uh isn't it crazy i was trying to see
what phone to pick up that's crazy as a crazy flex ain't it my fault my fault my fault my fault
All right.
That was crazy.
The weekend, Bad Bunny.
Let me see.
Yeah, they have a track called K-pop.
That was phenomenal.
I don't know if they have any other track.
Oh, Travis Scott was on that.
Hey, I ain't a lot too.
Travis Scott may be hating.
He's probably a lot of eight, bro.
If you're going to do a collab album, you know what I mean,
might as well be with me.
And the first sign he saw of him collaborating with Bad Bunny on K-pop,
he was like, you know what?
I need that track.
That's for my album.
So anyways, let me see.
That's crazy.
Bad, I mean, Travis Scott.
got the weekend bad bunny on the same track that's insane actually um and that's it that's the only
track they have together so i ain't going to live bad bunny in the weekend came out with a collab album
the earth was shut down but with that being said click my link to in my bio let me know in one of my
social medias what do you think about reflections laughing and if you wanted a collab album
from the weekend which artists would you choose for him to collab with
