Analytic Dreamz: Notorious Mass Effect - "THE WEEKND - WITHOUT A WARNING"
Episode Date: January 31, 2025Linktree: https://linktr.ee/AnalyticIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz delves deep into The Weeknd's latest and potentially final album under his iconic stage name, 'Hur...ry Up Tomorrow.' Released on January 31, 2025, through XO and Republic Records, the album was initially planned for an earlier release but postponed due to the LA wildfires, with The Weeknd contributing $1 million to aid relief efforts. This album concludes a trilogy that began with 'After Hours' in 2020 and continued with 'Dawn FM' in 2022. 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' features collaborations with artists like Justice, Anitta, Florence + The Machine, Travis Scott, Future, Playboi Carti, Lana Del Rey, and Giorgio Moroder on tracks that explore new musical territories. Notably, the much-anticipated "Dancing in the Flames" did not make it to the final cut. The Weeknd has described this project as his farewell to the persona he's mastered, signaling a shift towards new creative ventures. Alongside the album, a psychological thriller film of the same name, starring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, is set for release on May 16. The segment also covers promotional events including a NYC Pop-Up Experience with Spotify and a Hot Topic Takeover in Las Vegas with exclusive merch. Additionally, proceeds from the track "Take Me Back to LA" are being donated to the LA Regional Food Bank. Analytic Dreamz explores whether 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' truly marks the end of The Weeknd or just a transformation into something new, reflecting on his legacy of blending music, film, and immersive storytelling.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Ladies and gentlemen, we're getting into the very end of the weekend's album,
Hurry Up Tomorrow, which is a sad day in history because we're at the end of it as far as a review standpoint.
But the track without warning, without a warning, which is track 21 off of the 22 track album.
So obviously we're at the end.
It's very pivotal.
Time again to read along because I'm not going to lie to you.
At the end of this track, he says, how do I know tomorrow's coming?
Especially when I always kissed the sky, especially when I always chase the hide.
I don't suppose tomorrow's coming.
How do I know tomorrow's coming?
Especially when I always chase the crown, especially when they put me in the ground.
I don't suppose tomorrow's coming.
How do I know tomorrow's coming?
especially when I chase the crown especially when they put me in the ground I don't suppose
tomorrow's coming ladies and gentlemen that is one of the phenomenal sentiments from the weekend as far as
his overall career and him having this be in a conclusion to the trilogy of after hours into
dawn FM and to hurry up tomorrow as the whole mantra of going by the name the week
weekend and then having an album titled Hurry Up Tomorrow inevitably means he's thinking of
retirement. Who would have thought that the weekend would retire in the music industry?
Because he's 34 years of age, not saying that's super old, but maybe he wants to focus on
other things in his entertainment career besides music. He'll probably keep creating music,
like he said, but he also said on an interview that he feels like he's mad,
mastered the character the weekend.
And now he's talking about retirement.
And now this is officially the release of the trilogy, which is after hours into Dawn
FM and to hurry up tomorrow.
And he's talking like this on the last track.
Well, not the last track, the second of the last track.
But the thing that makes it so pivotal is because after these words that I just, after
those words I just read off, he ends the track with a sound of the crowd of the crowd cheering.
and that transitions into the last track.
So it's almost like he's giving an encore of his finale as far as the ending of his name,
The Weekend, as far as musical creation, which is very sad if you're a huge weekend fan, right?
I think when you look at it in totality, this is probably one of the more personable tracks
we've heard from the weekend as far as him letting us know that he is inevitably thinking of retiring
the weekend as the album is titled hurry up tomorrow and i already know it has to be actually
when do the when does the weekend end that's a that's a whole discussion because some people say monday
some people say sunday so that's a whole other discussion in itself but you get what i'm saying right
hurry up tomorrow is basically saying that the the weekend has ended and
is not coming back.
So I think this is very interesting how he went into the overall
lyrical performance because there's a lot of substance inherent.
And interestingly enough, I did not think his relationship with his parents would have been
explored as much in the last two tracks as he really gives us a glimpse into the relationship
between his mom and his dad.
Maybe it's fake.
Maybe he's just talking about a fictional relationship as far as the weekend.
or maybe he's talking about his personal relationship with his mom and dad and if it's the personal
side then ain't know lie it's a little tough when you listen to it because artists who main
job is invoking evoking emotions through a musical creation and talking about the personal life
if his relationship is really like that between his mom and dad and then now he's getting
into the depths of it makes this one of the more uh quality heavy tracks as far as
the substance right so with that being said quick click my link sure my bio let me know
one of my social media is what do you think about the track without warning which is the second
to last track off of the weekend's album hurry up tomorrow and if you listen to the album what is
your favorite track currently off of hurry up tomorrow
