Now the first thing I was thinking when I listened to this track is
Jordan Lucas needs to pick up a stick.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like,
damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
Now, obviously, all jokes aside,
I believe this is a phenomenal track and message as Tom McDonald.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen,
we are getting into the combination,
combination like Drake be saying, right?
A combination of Tom McDonald feeling like he is the,
the second coming to an M&M slash Jordan Lucas because what in the world is this but then you know
I'm saying I was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's going on so like I already said I like
the track and if you don't know why I'm putting so much emphasis on join the Lucas knee and to pick
up a stick it's for the simple fact that this particular track is more of a interesting
provocative right wing maga rap and the reason why I say that is because if you don't know he has a lot of
these type of introspective raps as his 2017 single was titled deal rappers and when it comes to his rise of fame
he initially gained a lot of attention from that particular track but it criticized mumbled rap and mainstream hip-hop themes
which is a big no-no so with that being said ultimately i go back to when russ talked about how
rappers promoting and indulging in drug usage hurts the younger audience right and guess what he got crucified for it
tom macdonald is going through the same thing or did go through the same thing as far as in 2017
with his particular track dear rappers so now if you're pushing a positive message you know saying
crazy things like oh maybe you shouldn't be mumbling when you're rapping or maybe you shouldn't be pushing drugs and guns
and things in that nature positive ideology right positive ideology right ultimately that man got crucified
but he's back again as when it comes to him continuously building his career as an independent artist
without any record label helping him comes to find out that if you keep going forward and improving
day by day you will come to realize it well also you have to put out a great product that's that's often um
forgotten by a lot of artists tom macdonald is consistently putting out a quality product and now
when you look at it the devil is a democrat is a phenomenal track to the point where even on youtube
it has three million views in just five days now of course it's not on the chart specifically
but the reason why i'm talking about this is because of the introspective like lyrics that he has
scattered well not even scatter is it's every single word in this track and and it means
something so to me who my favorite artist obviously my favorite artist drake but when it comes to the
big shons of the world the rest of the world artists who have a message to tell those are the artists i
gravitate towards as far as the rapping art form right so i really respect tom macdonald's
ability to put words together come with this very provocative message but then also make it sonically
pleasing which is something i talk about a lot when it comes to russ and his ability to to balance both
because sometimes if you can rap it gets in a way of you making a great song because you're trying to
switch switch up the flow every two seconds you're trying to make sure everybody hears every syllable
when we're just trying to party and hear a good track right so it just finds a perfect middle ground
not to mainstream as far as poppy but also not to preachy as far as you getting off your lyrical bars
It's a very nice middle ground and a hard middle ground for a lot of real rappers to find.
So shout out to Tom McDonald for this particular track as far as the devil is the devil as a Democrat.
It was released this past Friday.
I believe the YouTube came out, well, yeah, came out five days ago.
So anyways, when it comes to that, it just recently came out.
I don't know what it will look like on the charts, right?
But I always say, just because you don't sell a lot does not mean you're making
um bad product and just because you're selling the most it does not mean you're making the greatest
product the two do not correlate sometimes it does but often it does not so ultimately with tom
mcdonald i do believe this is a very high quality track will the sales catch up i mean only time can tell
because on youtube it's already doing phenomenal numbers like i said it's not on the billboard charts
but as far as youtube he's having a young boy type of effect as is number eight trending on the music charts
And it has three million views and it's only been five days.
Safe to say it's notoriously impacting the masses on YouTube.
So when it comes to the overall conversion of engagement to the DSPs,
that's something that we do not know yet,
but it will be showcased and highlighted in the foreseeable future.
And I would assume that people will start to pay more attention
to introspective type of rappers who have something to say,
because everybody talks about how all the rappers sound the same yet we have tom mcdonald which you know of course
with the imagery a lot of hip-hop fans would be uh taken aback by because of course sometimes they look at a white artist
and they think they're just going to pivot to country once we give them a hit track which you know
post malone didn't really help out that case but ultimately with tom mcdonald i'll be interested
to see what his track goes as it's a very high quality track but we'll see if it has the high
analytics to go with it because i'm hoping it does i listen to the track as
it to my playlist like i said i think this track is fire like i well like i said at the beginning
jrna lucas may have had his whole wave taken because uh this man is it's spitting something and he has
something to say so ultimately when it comes to that click my link to my bio let me know one of my
social medias what do you think about the devil as a democrat by tom macdonald and at the end of
the day do you believe that jrna lucas needs to pick up a stick you guys see that's the problem
