Now, Tommy Richman's success in 2024 reminds me of one of the most iconic shows I've watched in the past three years as far as Atlanta is considered.
Because the show Atlanta that was produced by Donald Glover, of course, has an episode where Paperboy is being influenced to sign a white artist of its
own for the simple fact that it means more dollars for him as a production manager.
So, whenever you get to the fact and the obvious fact that Tommy Richman is signed to Brent Fias
and contractually signed to Brent Fias' independent record label, ISO supremacy, in partnership
with post records, it is just ultimately.
brings that whole sentiment together because there's not a lot of things that people understand when it
comes to Tommy Richman's success because do some people think it's the music quality? Well, of course,
because music is subjective. But for most people, looking at the history of music, safe to say
that Tommy Richman is having a running back in the end of the
NFL type career because the quality that he specifically has as far as talent level is not high
So whenever he comes out sounding like the second coming to ice JJ fish
But he still has success as far as million dollar baby being the eighth most play track in the world
being on the charts for about 17 weeks peaking in number two and of course
Devil is a lie which been on the charts for about 10 weeks and
and is the 92nd most played track in the world,
which objectively makes him,
if not the hottest rapper in the game,
the second and third,
hottest rapper in the game.
So to bring it full circle,
that's why I talk about the whole episode,
which I believe is in season three of Atlanta
when this episode happens.
But as far as the whole paper boy scenario
and them trying to persuade him,
to sign a white artist because we're seeing it in real time what that can do for you as far as
signing somebody who can appeal to a demographic that you will you will never be able to appeal to
like they can so with that being said um Tommy Richman is putting out a new album titled
Coyote now this album is set to come out September 27th 2024 and he has a
single of course thought you were the one now out on all dsps and that is a specific track i was
focusing today as the whole thing with Tommy richmond is that he has been dealing with a lot of
backlash and like as far as Joe button coming at him uh funk flex coming at him i mean he has a lot on
his play as far as hate but with his ability to use certain privilege i'm not going to say what it is
you know what i mean hi y'all figure it out but to use certain privilege that 90% of rappers can't
you can only assume he's going to get that type of hate in a in a sport that was predominantly built by black people so with that being said not saying this right just saying what's going to happen and especially when your quality isn't at the point where i think it should be a lot of people are going to also point that out so with that being said the whole um appeal to Tommy Richmond is still to be seen as far as how long
it goes into the future.
I'm predicting the two to three year run
because having a million dollar baby track,
which to this day is still,
hasn't even got close to dropping that at a top 10.
Been on the charts for about 17 weeks.
And to let y'all know how crazy that is,
a lot of these tracks,
they get on the charts and then they fall off.
Like, they'll chart top three, top five,
if they're like a bona fide hit,
but then it'll start to fall off.
off. So the ones who stay on for five, 10, 15 plus weeks, that's how you know. Oh, that's one of the
best songs of the year because it's definitely running the charts as far as longevity. Now, there's a lot of
weeks in a year, as you can tell. I mean, there's four or five. I mean, I think it's four or five. Let me
see. It's usually four or five weeks every month if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Yeah, four to five
weeks in every month. So with that being said,
It really just depends on the overall, I would say capitalization, but I don't know if that's a word.
So the ability to capitalize off of your track success is to be seen.
And I don't know how Tommy will capitalize off this for next year, but safe to say, he has inevitably wrapped up as far as being one of the hottest rappers in 2024 with the success of a million dollar baby.
and of course with the success of devil is alive and with this new new track as far as thought you
would have to see how this ends up playing out because he still is putting in that work as
an artist is supposed to do as he's out here on the road basically going to his hometown
New York we're also going to Chicago and Los Angeles which he's titled the Desert Tour
