Starting point is 00:00:03 Now when getting into Tommy Richman, you have to acknowledge that as far as dominance on the charts, he is one of the most dominant hip-hop artists of 2024 with one particular track, and that is million-dollar baby. Now, how ironic that the million-dollar baby track is the one to make you a million dollars? Because, of course, this was his pop-out viral hit, which happened due to TikTok and, of course, the radio. So as far as the overall impact of the track, it's been on the charts for about eight weeks, the fifth most played song in the world, and it peaked at number two as far as globally is considered. Now, this man has a new track out titled Devil is a Lie. Now, I'm just going to continue my sentiment on the feeling about Tommy Richmond's music. And I'm going to tell you all that when it comes to the modern day J.J. Fish, ice J.J. Fish, mind you. This man does a perfect impersonation. Because at first I said ice J.J. Fish with a mix of the weekend. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that I am fully over to the ice J.J. Fish side because this man cannot sing.
Starting point is 00:01:28 so with that being said whoever this man's engineer is hopefully what hold on let's just look that up what is this track called okay devil is a lie let me see almost put in ice spice
Starting point is 00:01:41 time they make the same quality of music lot let me chill all right so devil is a lie um song credits all right produced by
Starting point is 00:01:52 Jonah Roy max Vosberg and cavi all right whoever they are they they basically are doing god's work like whenever they hop into the studio if you have joaneroy max vossberg and cavi
Starting point is 00:02:07 they're basically going to make you sound acceptable to the masses because i don't know how in the world tommy got in that studio saying all that stuff thinking it sounded good but his engineers made it in a way to where i'm not going to lie sonically it's still pretty terrible but i'm pretty sure they was working with something a lot worse whenever he first laid down the vocals. So that's how I honestly feel about Tommy.
Starting point is 00:02:32 His music is very receptive to the masses simply because he's white. And I don't have a problem saying that because it's hip hop. At the end of day, you know, if you're going to use some type of privilege to your benefit, then hey, at the end of day, hate the game, not the player. So Tommy Richman with The Devil is a Lie, I think is a very serviceable follow-up to the million-dollar baby. And to go off of that, Coyote, which is the upcoming album for Tommy Richman, doesn't have a release date yet, I don't think. But it is expected to have both Million Dollar Baby and Devil is a Lie, which if you don't know, Devil is a Lie just came onto the charts and is the 47th most play song in the movie. the world yeah so you know it's interesting because funkmaster flex i think he came out and gave his
Starting point is 00:03:34 opinion a million dollar baby basically saying he very he very much disliked the song and said it was trash and um i like million dollar baby which is why i compared it to the weekend like i said it was like ice jj fish in the weekend you know it was that blend but as far as devil is the lie he leaned more into the ice jj fish like i just really don't like the but I can't sing aspect of making singing music, you know? It's kind of like the interesting angle to take with an art. The whole, oh, it's so bad as good angle has been taken before and succeeded and capitalized on. But as far as in the music industry, especially with artists like Ice Vice, artists like Sexy Red, people who make bad music,
Starting point is 00:04:26 but still get financial gain off of it. At the end of day, hate the game, not the player. So I've just given my personal, honest review of how I feel about the music. I don't think it's high quality. I don't think Devil is the Lies a good track. As far as a million dollar baby,
Starting point is 00:04:43 I still believe sonically it's a pretty catchy track. That's what I would say. And Devil is the Lies like, what, two minutes? Like, at that point, are you even trying? Like, I don't even understand. So a lot of people are trying to compare his sound to like the early Neptunes with like Farrell Williams and Chad, Hugo, I think is his last name. But I think that's just beyond disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Like that's just, that's disrespect at his finest. So yeah, man. Tommy Richman, hopefully he keeps getting success. I mean, what did Kendrick say? Keep waving my hands and making me dancing and it won't be no threat? Something like that, man. So anyways, with that being said, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social.
Starting point is 00:05:26 social media is what do you think about Tommy Richman's track devil is a lie and do you think Tommy Richman is putting out fire or trash music
