Now, since this is the first time I've ever covered Tori Kelly, we do have to get into how she was hospitalized on July 23rd, 2023, with a medical issue that has not been disclosed. But she was released from the hospital. She's still recovering. She had to cancel her promotional appearances for her EP, which is currently out now, titled what was the EP title oh it's actually her name Tori I thought they were just saying her name again but her EP title Tori is out now

but the whole medical fiasco happened like four days before that I think it was four you know I can't do math five days before that and then after being released from the hospital Tori Kelly came out

to give a message to her fans, which said, quote, as you may have heard, I'm dealing with some unexpected health challenges. It's been a scary few days, but I can feel your prayers and can't stop thinking about you. I'm feeling stronger now and hopeful, but unfortunately, there are still some things to uncover. I'm so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who have been looking after me. Of course, I'm heartbroken about all of the things, but I had planned for this, week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first. Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I've been in for the last few years.

I won't let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours. I love you all so much, and I am truly overwhelmed by the love and care I have received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And then she actually, so she posted this from her Instagram account. This is very interesting. Let me see, going to her Instagram account. I guess in general, you don't really have to see a picture of her in the hospital. So, I mean, because I don't see one. So, but, I mean, you don't really have to post that because it's like, you know, it's kind of personal.

So, so they said that, so TMZ reported, and you know, they, you know how they report, that. that Tori Kelly had been out with dinner at her friends in downtown Los Angeles when her heart started beating really fast and she lost consciousness

for a while and they discovered clots in Tori's legs and her lungs and are still working to determine if any clots are around her heart huh

so with her still releasing the album while recovering it's a very interesting story because I do believe in general a lot of fans are fickle and they don't really

respect the mental health of the artist of the favorite artists and the reason I say that is because sometimes when your favorite artist is in a bad mental state they give you music and you come to enjoy that in a way that is a classic to you personally

and then later on down the road they come out in an interview and start talking about how that experience of them making that song was from a very was attached to another traumatic experience that makes them not want to perform the song because it brings them into that dark place. So the reason I'm saying that is

some fans don't care about the mental health if it gives them music. that they enjoy more than other music. Hopefully that makes sense. I don't know if I explain that the best way in the best way possible, but using myself, I mean, not like I don't care about mental health,

but as far as using myself, as far as what I've seen in the landscape, Juice World was a prime example of that. Artists going through obvious mental health issues, speaking on them openly, in interviews and songs, So it wasn't just like, oh, he only put that in there because it was just music. He was talking about his real life and interviews that also had reoccurring topics brought up,

such as his inability to fight substance abuse and using certain drugs. Fans really didn't, I'm not going to say they didn't care, because, of course, a lot of people called out his, like, girlfriend, whatever, for enhancing the problem. but I do think for most fans as long as they get the music in a way that's satisfying to them they don't care what the state of your mental health is obviously it's not for every artist but for some artists

for some fans they do not care personally for Tori Kelly obviously prayers to her I do feel like blood clot uh can't talk blood clots is a very

scary situation to be in and I do feel like her hospitalized or hospitalized I think that's like I said it's very unfortunate because of course you would like to go promote her

album but like she said in her letter her health comes first but of course like she's also stated in her letter quote until I see you again I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I've been in for the last few years. I won't let
