Now I keep letting y'all know that hip hop as far as a genre is losing this grip on the overall music industry.
And basically what I mean by that is the other genres, K-pop, Latin music, country, pop, are starting to get a certain foothold in the music industry,
whereas it used to be mostly hip hop.
Like there was a point in time
where the top 10 to top 20 billboard charts
will have mostly hip hop.
Nowadays is becoming way more diverse.
And I think it's solely because of the internet one, of course.
Like we wouldn't even be able to have these different cultures
being as exposed if it wasn't for the internet.
Like basically the internet has broken down the barriers to having a sound from your city.
Because you can hear somebody like Kodak and be from wherever like Alaska or something.
And then you can start sounding like Kodak because that's all you listen to, right?
Internet has broken down the borders.
So now people are starting to sound more of the same, which is why I believe hip hop,
is starting to take a backtrack and its dominance over the music industry.
Now, with that being said, of course, y'all are wondering why that pertains to this particular segment.
I'm getting it to Romeo Santos and Travis Scott.
And the reason I am focusing specifically on them, because if you don't know, this was
an event that they attended put on by Jay-Z's Reform Casino.
It was called the Reform Casino Night.
casino night. I don't know why I couldn't say casino. I still can't say it, but it's all right. Y'all
get what I'm saying, right? And gala event at Atlantic City's Ocean Casino Resort. And then during the
event, Romeo Santos performed his hit song, Promise, featuring Usher. But the thing that
stood out to me, or stood out to me, was this man, Romeo Santos teaching Travis Scott how to
dance. I mean, y'all have to see this. I don't know if y'all have seen videos of Travis Scott dancing,
but there's a reason why he just jumps up and down at his concerts. And later, and for the video
version, go to Analytic Dreams video on Spotify. For the audio version, I'll probably talk you through
it. But anyways, let's get into this man, Romeo trying to teach Travis Scott how to dance.
Honestly, that is the worst rendition of what they call Bichata that I've ever seen. Like, Romeo
trying to show him out of Pachata, right? Travis is doing his own.
own thing. He has rage rhythm, which means technically he does have a little rhythm, but it's not
in the sort of normal fashion, whereas you would do at most events. The type of rhythm that Travis Scott
has is only applicable at festivals, at concerts, and sometimes on TikTok. So that being said,
I didn't really want to get too much into it. I mean, Travis Scott, Romeo Santos is a very big artist in
his own right, if you don't know, he started his successful solo career in 2011 and he's basically
a Latin roots or no, a Latin soul artist with a mix of hip hop and trap type beats and he made his
debut in 2011 like I said, top five hit in the U.S. In 2014, his Formula Volume 2 was a Motive
platinum album. So many different stats that I'm throwing at.
I'm just really showcasing the way that he was invited to this event hosted by a bunch of hip hop musicians simply because of the different genres starting to catch up to the point where you can't really ignore them anymore.
It's like if you can't beat them, join them.
And so now I'm not saying that hip hop can't beat like any of the other genres.
I'm just saying that they're more willing to collaborate with these type of musicians simply for
for the fact that hip hop is losing the footing in the dominance of the music industry.
And with that being said, I also want to get into something else.
It was something else that was showing.
Oh, the top Latin musicians, just to give you an inclination on where Romeo is, he's basically
one of the best Latin musicians in the game.
Like, if we talk about Bad Bunny, of course, he's by and far in the way, number one.
talk about Carol G, which is my personal favorite in the Latin community.
Actually, Pacea Pluma.
I'm not even going to lie.
Paisa Pluma is my favorite.
Carol G.
is the album I've been listening to recently because she just dropped the album not too long ago.
Who else I listened to?
I listen to Bazaar it or however you said that.
I forget how I said it.
And then Romeo Santos.
So not really too much you get into, just really letting you know that the top Latin
musicians are starting to take over and their numbers are increasing year after year, which
if you ever been an investor, that's a great thing. That's a great thing to see because now
it lets you know that it's here to stay and not only is here to stay, it may get to the point
where it's competing at the same level as hip hop when it comes to Billboard charts.
So click my link to you in my bio. Let me know on one of my social media is. What do you think about
Romeo and Travis Scott basically try to bechata together, which is a Dominican dance, by the way.
And also, do you think that Travis Scott would ever have Romeo Santos as a feature on a track
or would he ever feature on a Romeo Santos track?
