One of the final tracks I want to highlight for Utopia and me giving my first impressions is that I do believe Travis Scott gave us a solid body of work. For my first impressions, it sounds like straightfire to achieve a feat of having Drake, the weekend, Beyonce, and Bad Bunny on one album, I don't think people understand how difficult that probably is. Even DJ Callet himself is probably amazed on how Travis Scott poured this off. Because technically, with the whole Astroirio fiasco, he's supposed to be canceled.

But like I was saying, multiple times throughout me covering the events and what led up to it, I kept hinting towards the fact that musically, Travis Scott is up there with the greats. Looking at his discography, maybe one of the best hip-hop discographies that we've had in hip-hop history. And I would say that's not recency bias because I was saying that before Utopia came out. And it was just me taking in the fact that Travis Scott really doesn't have a bad album. So with that being said He has a bunch of albums that people can consider classic

Of course we have Astroirut. Of course we have What's the rodeo album called? Oh wait, the rodeo. What's the rodeo album call? Y'all hear me? It's been a long night. So the rodeo album

And then there's another one. I'll probably miss a one. Travis Scott fan is going to kill me. Let me see. Let's go to Travis Scott. So I would say Asterold, to me, is his best album ever. Then you have the rodeo. And then I really, like, honestly, all,

birds in the trap sing McKnight. I know a lot of people, like, give flag to the album for some reason. I don't understand. But those three albums are classics. So all of his solo albums, I feel like, have been classics. I'm not even trying to, like, gas him, because you already know how I feel about Travis Scott. But the music is undeniable.

I think if he wasn't as good as music, if he wasn't as good as music that he is, like that he currently is, it's like he would have been canceled. He's one of those, he's like the music version of, wait, let me make sure I get this right, because I want to make sure I get this point correct.

So honestly, this is going to be a crazy claim. All right, it's a little, a little extreme, so I ain't going to go that far. But let's just say, you know how, And this is how I'm going to do it. You know how in the NFL, there's certain people who get connected with murder. But because of them being such a great football player, they get let off.

I don't know if I'm making sense to some of y'all. Some of y'all are probably lost. So, because y'all may not follow sports. All I'm going to say is, talent-wise, certain people who get connected with murder are never like, well, he's a bad football player now. always acknowledge that he's a great and phenomenal football player. It's just that he may be connected to some horrendous events. That may be a stretch to some people, but for me, it makes all the sense in the world. So I'm just going to keep on going with that fact or that point. So that's how personally feel about Travis Scott. I think like his musical ability just completely overshadows what

he's done as a personal human and the repeating occurrences of him inciting riots. I don't know if riots is the right word. I think it is because he literally got arrested in Arkansas for a concert that he did. I would say I would say like allegedly, but like it actually happened. So a concert in Arkansas, he was arrested for, quote, inciting a riot. And that's one of the many instances where he did that very thing. And it led up to the whole Asteroel fiasco where the same thing happened and a lot of people died. The reason why I bring that up is because I just want to show the hypocrisy of fans. Because of course, there's a reason why throughout my first impression, I think I brought up Asteroa once, but I really wanted to save it for the end of my first impression wrap up.

Let it be a testament to how powerful marketing is. Because best believe, if you're telling me, a guy like Gunner should be blackballed and should not be listened to, then how in the world can we co-sign a man like Travis Scott giving him a man? features like Beyonce, Siza, Drake, and everybody's just okay with what happened and putting that to the side to work with this man and Travis. Honestly, it doesn't make any sense. And for that very reason, it's why I always and will forever keep bringing up the Asteroor situation because that should not be forgotten as a lot of people.

lost a family member on that day so that's why i really wanted to say for the end because throughout travis scott and his whole run for utopia there was a point in time where he put out a accompanying music video along with it i don't know if it's like a movie or whatever but basically all he said for the events at Astroirut. Is that I'm not here to talk about that situation. I want to talk about something else. And that should tell you all you need to know about Travis Scott personally on a human level. So not to make this like a morbid segment,
