Starting point is 00:00:00 Going from literally having a track in 2019 titled Little Wayne to actually having multiple collaborations with the man himself has to be a cross off the bucket list for Trippy Red. As Trippy Red and Little Wayne is a pretty interesting duo as I do believe Trippy Red is very talented as an individual artist. Collaborating with other artists, I feel like he brings them to his world, not the other way around. which is not a bad thing of course but i do want to point that out as this may not be the most popular track off of the album they're just strictly rapping i know a lot of trippy red fans loves when he sings but for this i do believe i'm mad at me is a different type of vibe than the first track which is hell rain with trippy red little wayne and hood baby hell rain is more of a interesting melodic sound whereas i'm mad at me is straight bars lyrical exercise and the notorious
Starting point is 00:01:10 little wayne lighter flick so with trippy having multiple collabs with little wayne compared to all the way back in 2019 titling a track little way i think you kind of see how little and the hip hop culture and hip hop itself is probably the most influential artist to ever walk this planet if you don't believe me like all other artists that came after little wayne and they're like a walking reflection of little wayne's impact i mean i'm talking about from colored dreads to face tacks uh face tats to uh how they rap sometimes how they try to prove they freestyle definitely not rap No, let me take that bad. These people are not rapping like Little Wayne.
Starting point is 00:02:09 See, no, that's not it. What I meant to say for my third point was the little in front of the name. So the dreds, the colors in the dreds, the face tats, the little in front of all their names. Like, obviously, Lil Wayne wasn't the first rapper to have Little in front of his name. Actually, let's find out who it was. It was probably some, but he used the one who made it popular. So let me see. First rapper.
Starting point is 00:02:36 to put Lil in front of the name. Let's see, because honestly, I think that's very interesting when talking about Little Wayne. Because Little Wayne's the most influential artist ever. I don't even think that's debatable. So Little Rodney C., the hip-hop group Funky 4 Plus 1 first used the name in 1979.
Starting point is 00:03:08 he was the first to use it as a prefix interesting you had little Rahim 1980 little fame of MOP 1994 little Italy of no limit records 1995 however
Starting point is 00:03:32 of course it was popularized by the iconic little Kim 1994 and then little Wayne in 1998 and made it a trend in hip hop for you as to come so of course little wayne wasn't the first one to have little in front of his name but he made it the most popular as if you see the influence of little wayne and little kim i don't think a lot of people give their flowers a little kim like they need to like a spitting like a complete copycat
Starting point is 00:04:05 of little kim as a lot of these women artists not well before before cardy b and not nicky our own by a lot of the rappers who were trying to blow up either try to sound like little kim or nicky so that just speaks to little kim's uh impact and influence on the game anyways we're not going to spend too much time on that just really wanted to focus on the fact that trippy red and little wayne is an interesting dynamic duo and i very much enjoyed this track one of the standouts in my opinion and um looking forward to more trippy red and little wayne music in the future So click my link tree in my bio Let me know one of my social media
Starting point is 00:04:48 What do you think about the whole history Of the little in front of your rap name And who is your favorite little rapper I?
