Now of course getting into the land of K-pop once more as you already know ladies and gentlemen we just covered the unfortunate news when it comes to Katzai. You guys see that's the problem. As if you don't know it was announced that Sophia is taking a temporary hiatus along with another member taking a temporary hiatus as far as Minyan. hopefully i said her name right and when it comes to that in particular it was cited that rest in health is why they will be taking a hiatus from cat's side uh cat's side so when diving deeper into

the k-pop lore safe to say another girl group that made tremendous history over the 11 years as far as the unusual amount of time together because usually usually with groups and musical success as far as in a group. There's certain people that branch off way sooner than 11 years. So for twice to stay together this long, ironically, they lasted way more than twice as long as many other musical groups out there. As if you don't know, the K-pop group, the K-pop girl group twice made history as the first K-pop girl group to top Billboard World. albums plus digital songs sales simultaneously with you going number one on Billboard 200 in 2024 and then of course twice had three consecutive song of the year

1.5 million attendees, right? We're talking about three years ago. And of course, had $170 million in revenue across 51 shows. Once again, the record for K-pop girl groups at SoFi slash MetLife first. So when you look at the current tour as far as 81 shows. You guys. I'm putting this in perspective before we get into the actual subject because I want you to know that this is different from the cat's size situation. Twice already has a lot of accomplishments that put them in the history books for quite some time to come.

But when you look at what we're about to get into as far as the subject matter, and then of course you remember what I just said earlier, their success, I believe, led to this independent wave that they're currently going on. As if you don't know, members, G. Youngian and Cheyung. Wait, hold on now. Is that the guy who played for the Wizards? All right, my fault. Let me stop being ignorant. G. Youngian and Chey Young have both left Y. YyP Entertainment within the same week. but they will still be members, be members of Twice. And the reason why that's a big deal is because it's very different from the Katzai situation. These particular members of Twice are basically going on their independent wave versus the versus Sophia and Minian from Katzai departing temporarily because of health reasons. So that being said, that's the main thing I want to tell you all as far as the subject matter for this segment we have a lot to get into as far as the actual uh information when

it comes to chay young leaving because we have an actual note right here and as you can see we're about to let me see if i can switch my scene so uh chay young had a note that she left as far as her uh for her audience letting people know why she parted with jyp entertainment and of course um i can't read that but that's why you know there's the w translation south of twice and a lye So Cheyong went on to say most of all please know that nothing changes with twice, which is a girl group that she's a part of. Everything I've received is thanks to my time as twice, which will always be my ruse. Aw, look at that. So once again, it's very different from the cat's out situation as when it comes to Sophia Mignon, well, I guess it's similar as far as them still having high regards for the group.

but wanting to take their individual priority seriously. But when it comes to Sophia Mnion with Katzai, they are taking a break for musical creation in general. When it comes to the actual, when it comes to the actual twice members, they are going on the independent route, so vastly different than leaving for health reasons. They're basically going to independent musical route

instead of the Katzai, Sophia, Mignon members, leaving for health reasons, drastically different. So I don't want you to think it's the same thing. As of course, the main thing I did want to get into was the agency aspect as that is the same when it comes to Katzai and the twice

situation. You guys. See, that's the problem. As 11 years together as a girl group, making all sorts of history and breaking all sorts of statistical accomplishments, as if you don't know, twice started way earlier than Katzai. Katzai,

basically just started like three years ago. Twice been cemented in stone as far as statistical accomplishments in the K-pop field. Twice has been around since October 20th, 2015, with their story begins and exploded in 2016 with Cheer Up, which top digital song, multiple dissing, and TT, which became the nation's girl group milestone as far as them being like nicknamed that. So, of course, when you look at the agency, that is where it becomes very similar to the cat side situation, as they both noted that they are changing their agency, but they're staying with the group, which leads me to believe that once again, my point about Sophia, if you haven't heard my cat's eye coverage, just type in cat's eye analytic dreams and my coverage of that should

pop up. But basically, getting it to cat's eye and their beef, well, not beef, but them leaving temporarily, I believe them citing health reasons is similar to how Cheyung and G. Youngian is leaving twice. And the reason why I say that is because of the vigorous training schedule that these artists are put under. So when you look at the agency specifically as far as the one that G. Youngian just signed to, because she's actually signed to an agency, not Chey Young. yet. But when it comes to G. Youngen, she is with VARO Entertainment, which is an actor-focused agency founded in the 2020 by former B-H entertainment staff. And of course, when you look at the overall stature of

these agencies, you come to realize that a lot of the top possibilities for Che Young lies in where G. Young went. Because you're kind of looking for more of a mid-tier artist friendly emphasis on friendly aspect as far as a label and would put your priority put your mental health first versus a billion well almost billion dollar company and twice and definitely a billion dollar company in high as far as them primarily wanting you to go through a rigorous training schedule so you can be ready for how many you don't even know how many uh chorography less uh dance lessons and recitals they have to do. So some people will say, well, what's the big deal? These people are getting paid millions, right? And then you come to realize that these are all humans at the end of the day being put

through very interesting training regimens that I believe may be unfair, but people don't look at it as that because they haven't seen it in 4K. There's no documentary that really details just how rigorous their training schedule gets. Because if you don't know, twice has non-members, right? All of them are from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. One is from Taiwan, about five is from South Korea, and three is from Japan. So, of course, when you look at that specifically, you come to realize that a documentary, I believe, is needed from somebody, I'm not in that location, but somebody in that location

could do a very interesting independent documentary. on finding out why the rigorous training schedule exists for a K-pop artist unlike any other genre. It's almost as if they prioritize revenue and top-tier choreography over their artist's mental health. And I think that is the biggest problem when you look at K-pop specifically. I've been covering K-pop for quite some time.

As far as BTS, you already know my coverage of BTS or literally the cover of this upcoming episode. talking about the them not submitting to the Grammys, right? So I've talked about BTS a bunch of times. But basically, when I talk about K-pop artists specifically, I always highlight how they have top-tier choreography. And now you start to realize that the training regiments seemingly is unfair to the point where it isn't worth it that we always get consistent top-tier quality as far as the

choreography aspect from all these K-pop musicians if they're going through unfair training regimens that may be to their detriment as far as their mental health. So the reason why I say that is because looking at Cheyung leaving, I mean, that's one thing. Jiangin leaving, okay, that's two out of the nine people in a group that literally say to leave in the agency, not the group, which makes me believe there's certain higher-ups that are a part of almost a billion dollar industry, independent, uh, Now, a part of an almost billion dollar major label, which is YYP, right? And it seems as if they're trying to get to that billion dollar mark, just like their counterpart, their pure K-pop label as far as high that's already at a billion dollars by any means necessary. They're trying to beat out high by any means necessary and they're going through all sorts of maneuvers to get to that point. As if you don't know, there was a whole survival program.

Yes, you heard me correctly. a whole survivor program titled 16 that YYP had to have the twice members earn their place. So in general, K-pop has a rigorous training problem. And I think the main way that this will get solved is that the people of that culture and that location start to shine a light on it using video in a way that was showcased. what that actually looks like because I think a lot of us don't exactly see the rigorous training schedule that they're put under but we're hearing all type of behind-the-scenes reports of this happening which is why I've just covered Sophia and Mignon leaving Katsat is why I just covered

G. Youngen and Cheyung Young leaving twice you come to realize that this is a really big deal in the K-pop community and it seems as if the mammoth of possibility the mammoth of artists in k-pop trying to get to that position that twice that cat's eye that btsy that new jeans is that maybe is to the detriment because they start to forget some of the important things as far as mental health and prioritizing your own well-being versus doing three to four regiments training regiments a day so that's the main thing was wanting to get at as far as their tour has been completed they had a phenomenal tour once again

the latest tour uh gross all type of dollars as far as 81 shows 136 million dollars in total um gross and i mean that's just i mean that's just you market so i mean you know when you look at the lifetime sales it's a little under 400 million as far as 3.5 million tickets sold and twice is live show lifetime statistics. So they've been together for quite some time. Once again, it's vastly different from the Katzai situation as Jay Young and G. Youngian are specifically going on an independent music route, but they're also attached to twice as well.
