Starting point is 00:00:03 Now when we're talking about the greatest duo in music history, suicide boys are definitely up there in discussion to the point where a lot of people want to know when it comes to certain genres, who's unequivocally the best when we take all into consideration. But ladies and gentlemen, when it comes to the suicide boys, the reason why we're talking about them for this particular segment is because they have. released a new album titled Thy Kingdom Come, which is 10 tracks, 28 minutes in length, and two features as far as Bones and Knight
Starting point is 00:00:45 LaVelle. So with that being said, or maybe it's love, because it's love, maybe it's two eyes, two else, I can never tell. You know what I'm saying? I ain't even mean for that to run. But anyways, um, as far as their album, the last album was New World Depression and that came out
Starting point is 00:01:01 June 14th, 2024. And of course, we already know that the Suicide Boys have been out for a while as far as their first ever album on DSPs being the Kill Yourself Part 7. Goodness gracious. And the what? You guys. See, that's the part. Now, this is a PG podcast. I'm not even going to say the, uh, the Disney-Fod version of this title.
Starting point is 00:01:27 That is ridiculous. I mean, their name is already one of the most egregious artist names. I've ever seen blow up. Because of course, when you're talking about that specific word that they call themselves, I would assume a lot of shadow banning would be happening. But then you come to realize that they've been around since the earth was created. You know, I'm not calling them old. I'm just telling it like it is.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Right. So as far as that particular fact and them being around for quite some time, safe to say that as far as the internet, maybe it didn't evolve to a point where they realized that their name could potentially get shadow banned. as they already blew up by the time, people started to get more PC and things started to be more cancelable, right? So anyways, getting into the analytics side of the suicide boys, because if you don't know, when it comes to them and ultimately being one of the greatest duos of all time, and I mean there were all sincerity, as when we get into analytics is not really a correlation to quality,
Starting point is 00:02:25 but of course, sometimes it is for the suicide boys. I believe they put up quality music. If you don't know, they also implement rap into their creativity. Because you know, as far as notorious Master Fecke, I covered so many different genres to the point where you start to realize that a lot of these genres have more common that you would believe at the beginning. Because when you look at it, they sound so different. But yet when you dive deeper, they share a lot of similarities. So anyways, the suicide boys, a more dark rap with. a lot of lo-fi and punk influences so of course they do have a very interesting approach to the musical creation and that led this album specifically thy kingdom come to objectively
Starting point is 00:03:15 objectively speaking as of right now be the it is the fourth most played project in the world and aside from that just looking at a totality standpoint they've amassed over 24 billion with a b 24 billion streams as far as on different platforms and it made them rank amongst the top 10 no the top 100 most stream artists ever so ultimately when I'm looking at this
Starting point is 00:03:47 and I'm looking at the New World Depression rise up the ranks to the point where specifically when it comes to vinals it was number one as far as Billboard's vinyl albums and it topped the R&B slash hip-hop albums charts. So even though they have a lot of lo-fi and punk influences, they still top the charts as far as hip-hop being considered. And if you don't know, when it comes to their very supportive fan base, especially throughout the years, I mean, putting out the first album in 2014
Starting point is 00:04:16 and putting out, I don't even know what number they're on, it's a lot of albums as far as currently that they've amassed a huge discography that the fans clamber for and they enjoy. and they go to watch them on tour to the point where now the vinyl's the number one. Ultimately, the Napoleon track off of this album is something that they're using as far as promoting the album. They're putting that track Napoleon on a lot of different esteem playlist. So when you look at it incorporating interesting New Orleans bounce elements, which the track Napoleon does, and then you switch it up to get more to a darker sound as far as the rest of the
Starting point is 00:04:56 album you come to realize that this is really one of the more unique projects that you can listen to especially in 2025 when the internet is so accessible so now everybody sounds the same so suicide boys really having a unique perspective and a unique music creation as far as the album it's probably why the fan base has been sticking around so with that being said that's really why i wanted to get into at the end of the day with their name i still don't know how they blew up as much as they did because that is a name to call yourself because what type of brand deal is coming through the door when they look at the artist's name and they say to themselves we can't promote this we can't sponsor this you know what I'm saying imagine me like yeah we was just wanted to have the bang energy drink drunken by um yeah on the other hand Bob just scratched that we're gonna go with the A&P group you know what I'm saying like what type of name is is the suicide boys I mean that's very interest and how they blew up with that name But, you know, that's besides a point. So with that being said, the latest album, Thy Kingdom Come is out now.
Starting point is 00:06:03 So with that being said, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. Have you listened to the Suicide Boys album Thy Kingdom Come? And if you have, what is your favorite track off of the album?
