Starting point is 00:00:03 Boy, oh boy, I think Drake is in trouble. Learning who's the boss in this type of fashion has to be frustrating. Because one of the biggest things with being a musician under a major label is that certain things you just can't do contractually. So when you release valuable content potentially worth millions, It is apparent and inevitable that Universal Music Group will have to step in. As Universal Music Group has shut down certain videos and uploads from this IG account, basically releasing a whole lot of files that could have been used for like a billion, worth a billion dollar like as far as a documentary made you could have made billions of off of a
Starting point is 00:01:12 documentary using these files and Drake just released it for the free off of this IG platform that I have up here right now on analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with audio but basically this is confirmed to be from the OVO camp right? right? I think Drake just can't come out and just say, oh, this is for me. Because I think he would literally be sued by Universal Music Group. Because I don't think y'all understand. If you gave somebody a lump sum of money and then there was a piece of content, not even piece, what is it titled, 100 gigs for your head top?
Starting point is 00:01:50 I mean, a whole just mountain slide of content giving out to the public that you technically own. because you have to recoup on your investment, would you not be upset? So I kind of understand universal music group side, but at the same time, it is a major label, so who really wants to, like, advocate for the big bad wolf who always takes advantage of artists. But I can't see where they coming from. I just don't care. So Drake's my goat, of course, and I'm still going through this documentary. So many things to dissect and analyze and so many things to go through.
Starting point is 00:02:29 but one thing to know is that Drake is absolutely him from the creation of a lot of his iconic tracks just seeing how I came about like I was literally looking at a video I think it was for um um over my dead body off of take care and the singer at the beginning was literally in the I thought they used a sample or something the singer was in the studio and Drake was giving her advice while she was singing it and basically Drake was giving her the melody that he wanted because she went with a certain melody and then Drake advised a different melody that we all
Starting point is 00:03:07 fell in love with over my dead body and obviously he used the different lines and then you know she probably or not probably she did change it for the final version to fit her vocal inflection but basically that process was insane like watching that is like watching you know how people talk about the LeBron
Starting point is 00:03:25 It's like if Rich Paul and his team, Clutch Sports, just released millions and millions of, not millions. That's a little excessive. Basically, 100 gigabytes worth of just content for fans to put together and make their own documentary. Like, do you all not know what, I forget the channel, but there's a channel that does such a great job on putting content together as far as think pieces? He's done it for, like, King Vaughn. He's done it for, like, a lot of other artists. I think it's what's the what's the dirt
Starting point is 00:03:59 I think I'm getting them mixed up but I think what's the dirt is another one of them what's the dirt let me see yeah what's the dirt like imagine if he spent like a week putting content together and just came out and put out his own Drake documentary
Starting point is 00:04:16 like that is why Universal is doing what is doing right now universal has to be irate but how upset can you be at your most pivotal performer for the company ever. Like, it's a really slippery slope. Like, it's such a convoluted issue.
Starting point is 00:04:32 It's like Michael Jordan, in the midst of the season, going out and playing for another team. Like, how upset, not like the NBA, but, you know, playing for, like, some other league and making money, right? Or, no, no, no, not even making money. Doing what LeBron did at preseason, you know, he went to some random gym and played pickup.
Starting point is 00:04:57 It's like a Michael Jordan did that for like a week or two straight while the season was going on it's like the bulls would be upset and literally probably just lock him into a room until like the bulls was ready to play again so that he wouldn't be affected by his outside activities like that's how universal has to be feeling towards drake like you are out here doing stuff that can be making us so much money but you're giving it away for free you know what I'm saying so um I give the LeBron and MJ analogy because I don't think y'all realize how much universal has lost due to this. And it could be a lot of things that resulted to this.
Starting point is 00:05:38 It could be the way that they was playing hardball with TikTok basically leveraging a Taylor Swift-Drake weekend. Who else? Ed Sherin, like if you don't know, they own all the greatest or the greats. Post Malone. Like TikTok was like, we're not going to pay you that much to have your artists on our platform. and not that much. Like, Universal was asking for an exorbitant amount of money. TikTok was like, we're not paying that.
Starting point is 00:06:04 So Universal was like, all right, well, take Drake, take Taylor Swift off. And apparently the insider sources is saying that Taylor Swift basically went to Universal. Like, hey, if y'all don't do something, I will. Basically, you know, basically was probably going to unite her fan base to go against Universal. Like she did against a Scooter Braun. I want to say the name right because last time I got it mixed up. But yeah, the way that she went at Scooter Braun. is basically what she was about to do the universal.
Starting point is 00:06:29 If they didn't crack a deal with TikTok. Because if you don't know, TikTok's one of the biggest authentic marketing tools you can use that as an artist. It's the first time in a while that an independent artist could be at the same level of a major label. If you utilize TikTok right as a musician,
Starting point is 00:06:48 you could be at the same level as a major label artist. Major labels are scrambling right now to realize, to combat how to, that how to like compete with ticot's authentic marketing strategy or uh marketing tools so yeah at first i thought it was ticot you know basically cowering to universal and striking a deal but apparently it was taylor swift who got involved so um which you know we never know the true details but that's just what the inside is the same so uh with this whole drake uh leaking millions leaking content worth millions of dollars,
Starting point is 00:07:28 there's going to be ramifications. And I think we're just seeing the first of it because, I mean, the account, which is ran by somebody, we don't know who is ran by, but releasing all type of unreleased Drake stuff. We don't know who's releasing it. Put up a post on a story saying,
Starting point is 00:07:44 access to your content has been restricted. And literally put this up on the story so, you know, the people can see it. And guess who is the rights holder? Universal Music Group. Even Drake is out here getting copyrighted by Universal Music Group. I mean, if you're a content creator, you know anything by Universal Music Group. I mean, I literally have a segment titled Universal Music Group versus Analytic Dreams,
Starting point is 00:08:09 basically detailing how I ran into like an issue in the past with my previous stints under Anchor, which, you know, no longer exists. But that was interesting as far as how Universal Music Group was playing with the likes of me. And I was not even as big as I am now. So it's very interesting the games, the Universal plays. Definitely the big dog when it comes to the music industry. And there's a lot of things that doesn't go without them saying so. So going against them isn't a great strategy.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Let me just put it like that. So with this and this. this account putting this up is just showcasing how universal is now starting to step in and figure out that oh you are actually playing with us and think we won't shut you down so this is an interesting start we're going to see what happens to this account and the millions worth of content of you know just straight behind the scenes footage on this account and i would download it honestly if i was a content creator looking to put together a discography a documentary for drake would be worth millions of dollars you know of course you got edited writing stuff but um that that's a million
Starting point is 00:09:23 dollar opportunity right there for the the person who has the amount of time to put that together but i mean talk about trading time for money right i mean you put enough time into breaking all this content down i ain't gonna lie universal would probably just take you down and just strike you down but hey hopefully somebody puts it together so anyways uh click my link true my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about you know just the valuable content that was potentially worth millions being dropped by drake through this account plot twist and um in it eventually maybe being shut down by universal music group do you think it's going to be shut down by universal music group or what is what do you think would be the solution for this back and forth between universal
Starting point is 00:10:12 music group and drake
