Now, we're getting into this particular artist, and of course, if you're a long time listening to the podcast, you already know that I talked about Victor Mandevo all the way back in November 9th of 2024 as far as his track Majores Jordan with Oscar Maydon.
Now, I've covered Oscar Madole a plethora times over the lifespan of this podcast.
But as far as Victor Mandevo, it's my second time covering him.
And one of the things I wanted to point out is his impact on the trend.
when it comes to specifically Mexico as he has a 22nd most played track in Mexico that we're
getting into today as far as as as far as his track, Raffigas Alviento. So with that particular
track, it's doing phenomenal. I mean, it's released independently. Um, his trap elements, I could
definitely relate to as far as, you know, engaging with the way he structured the track and the way
he came on the track. Because if I don't understand the language, right? I,
usually go to song structure and of course sonically is it pleasing and then that's the main
critique that i or that's the main uh measurement that i used to see if i like the track or not
both of those he fly he passes with flying colors as when it comes to mandeval and the way he puts
together tracks the way he puts together lyrics i think it's ultimately a great blend between
caritos and just trap elements because if you look at it as far as in the latin community when you mix
Corito with rap, it resonates with a lot of the younger audience because I believe rap is becoming the most influential, if it's not already, the most influential art form in the world.
So now when other artists start using elements of hip hop and rap into their own music and they put their own cultural spin on it, I think they have something special because I always say when it comes to putting words together, somebody wants to hear your story, not somebody else's.
So with Victor Mandevo, he did exactly that, especially with the track, Raffirgas Al Viento,
which is why is the 22nd most played track in the world.
And of course, with Majore's Jordan, being with Oscar Madoon, that's also the 48th most played track in the world.
So a very pivotal accomplishment.
Now, with that being said, there's a lot of things that goes along with the release date
and just the impact of Mandevo, especially on the charts, as this is,
solely independent I think that's the main thing that you need to get from this segment
him putting up these phenomenal numbers especially being independent is beyond
impressive I mean talk about not having no notable covers remixes not having no media
placements as far as movie TVs as I mean this is just straight off the muscle of
engagement and support from your fan base and it's very obvious that he probably has one of them more
organic fan bases and supporting foundations in the music industry, simply off of him being
independent because you can easily sign to someone.
And then guess what?
Everything that you put out gets a little bit of a bump on charts and just numbers in general.
Because now you have more hands in the pot that benefits off of it.
So they're going to give more marketing strategies the green light as far as making your
track rise on the charts. So with Mandevo's monthly listeners just rising time and time again
to the point where now on Spotify specifically is at 11.3 million, which is insane, especially with
his most popular current track being Raffigas Al Vianto. I think that track and there other tracks
that helped out as far as Majoris Jordan, Mihai Costado, Goet, those type of tracks help out the
overall trajectory. Because if you don't know, when you put it,
put out new music now newer listeners are more inclined to go listen to your past music so if they
go listen to your past music they'd be like oh this is a fire musician not only is a fire track
people go listen to your past discography and realize you're an overall phenomenal musician and i think
that's ultimately what you want as an artist that's why it's always great to put your effort
your best effort and your best foot forward on every single track because you never know when
people are just going to flood with engagement into your discography, right?
And just look at everything and become a true fan because they realize you've been doing this
time and time again.
So with that being said, it's really nothing else to get into with Victor Mandevo.
He's doing phenomenal on the charts.
He has two tracks charting in the top 50 in Mexico.
As far as overall charts, I did not see him.
Yeah, I didn't see him on the songs or albums, which, you know, being independent, I would have assumed to see an artist on the overall billboard charts.
Because not saying he can't get there by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm just saying it's very hard.
I mean, just think about the market share.
I go over all the time.
UMG currently has 63% of the music market share.
Sony has 21%.
Warner has 10%.
Others, which is small labels and independence combined, have 6%.
of the entire 100% of the music market share.
So I'm not saying that's impossible.
I'm just saying, you know, make sure to keep those numbers in mind when you're independent.
I'm not saying this impossible.
I'm just saying that organic reach has a cap.
And getting to that cap is solid.
For some people, maybe they're satisfied with that income, right?
But if you want to reach the highs or heights, you do need certain major labels and marketing
agencies to promote your music to other places that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to tap into.
So with that being said, I believe Victor Medieval may even be approached by Warner, a Sony, a UMG,
because of him being on the Mexico top 50 charts as an independent act.
So I see bright things in Victor's future, and he's just a phenomenal artist from what I've heard
and what I've seen in the past.
And he consistently puts out quality rap music with Carrido elements.
With that being said, click my link to your in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Rafagas Alviento?
And also, what do you think about Victor Mandevo as an artist?
And if you've never listened to him, will you be giving his latest track a listen?
