Starting point is 00:00:03 Diving into a history lesson because if you didn't know, Tut means image or living image. Ank means life or living. And then of course, Amun refers to the Egyptian god Amun also spelled A-M-O-N or A-M-E-N. a major deity worshipped in ancient Egypt. Now, ladies and gentlemen, the reason why I took you on that little history lesson like on Mrs. Frizzle herself is because Victor Mandevo is back again with an album titled To Tankamon. So with that being said, the main thing I was thinking, I was like, are we in the army?
Starting point is 00:00:52 How many tanks they need? But then I realized it's actually broken down and actually has a lot more, uh, it has a deeper meaning than of course the jokes that was just given off so of course that's why i wanted to let you know exactly what to tankamon actually means when broken down so with that being said the album is out now on all dsps i've talked about victor mandevo a plethora of times on this podcast because of course he can't stop having hits percolating on the charts as when it comes to putting out these hits. It is also under, I think it's Marroto Music LLC, Rico O. Moreto Music LLC, which if you don't know, is an independent record label
Starting point is 00:01:41 co-founded by Mexican musician, Oscar Mayadone, who we've also covered on this podcast. And of course, songwriter, Chack Fro. It's like C-H-A-C-H-F-Row. So hopefully I'm pronouncing that right if not i try my best anyways the label operates as a team with over 15 employees across mexico city to juan to huan to huana i think this i say it's it uh mexicali and san diego and it focuses on emerging regional mexican and latin musicians such as victor mandevo omar camacho regulo Malina Carlos Menjarez and Fernando and Gulo now if out of that list we've definitely covered the victory definitely cover Omar as far as the rest I don't know if he's covered them but ultimately I've dived into a lot of different artists off of this
Starting point is 00:02:37 independent label and of course diving into Oscar Madoans music specifically so of course his latest offering from Victor Mendeval showcases how not only before the album came out he already had multiple tracks on the charts towards the top of the charts i might add as when you go to number one one of the tracks is well a lot of the tracks are off of his latest album but usually i forget which one was was going the most crazy as far as i think all of these are off because these were released as singles before the actual album so i do remember covering jacobo grenberg i remember covering that rapagas al viento i remember covering that but there's a lot of other tracks off of this album that's now towards the top whether
Starting point is 00:03:25 it's um the two plus two track that was with omar i remember covering that one but the plaque track that's off of his latest album that's with shoup a hoop it's like dolly san hoop and then you have uh to tankamon you know self-titled track after the album that's the 30 that's the 23rd most played track in mexico and this is mexico specifically um the track chole this is the 29th most played track Mexico then you have rapha gas al viento which is the 33rd most played track of Mexico and of course you have Jacobo greenberg which is the 39th most played track in Mexico King of watches which is the 40th RZR which is the 43rd and I believe that's it yeah that's it so 10 tracks in total as far as the older tracks and the newer tracks still
Starting point is 00:04:12 percolating on the charts which is a phenomenal accomplishment definitely showcasing how not only is Victor Mandevo one of the top Latin musicians in a game, but also just showcase how dedication and consistency over time can lead up to a phenomenal album release, which he currently has. And so with that being stated, we're going to put even more respect on his name and get into the highest performing track off of the album, which is titled plaque.
