Now, safe to say, clap it up for me.
Because, of course, starting off the Christmas season with putting immense respect on the mobile game community,
safe to say I picked a particular game just because it has snow in it.
Shepard.
All right, my fault.
I'm lying.
Actually, the reason why we're covering this particular game is because not only is wide-out survival one of the most popular mobile games as of right now.
a year of 2025 but as far as lifetime revenue estimated for mid 2025 so it's probably more now
it's estimated to be around it's estimated to be around three billion dollars so when i put a
misrespect on the mobile gaming community is reasons like this is because they are a significant
portion of the pie as far as revenue that goes into the overall entertainment we call gaming right so the
The annual revenue for whiteout survival, once again, estimate for 2025 alone, is $2 billion plus.
Now, of course, the lifetime revenue is $3 billion.
So what does that mean?
And this year alone, it's been running rampant as far as everybody and their mama talking about this game, which leads me into another point.
When are we going to stop being misled by mobile game ads?
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Because you look at the state of gaming,
and safe to say, you know, there's only particular,
there's certain games that we just run into the misleading advertisement type of route.
And one of them I've covered before, I forget the Anthony Star.
Let me see, Anthony Star Mobile Game ad.
I remember this particular ad had a lot of people upset.
Last War is Survival.
That I also covered.
When now I'll cover that?
last word i covered that november 2nd of of this year so when it comes to last war survival safe
to say wide out survival is having the same type of campaign as far as a lot of people coming out
and saying that the ads are misleading because of them showing an addictive mini game but guess what
the overall gameplay loop is way more expansive the whole ad is based off that one mini game so a lot
of people think that's going to be the only portion of this particular game so a lot of people
are going into the game expecting it to be like a brain dead type of gameplay loop where you're enjoying
the mini game gameplay but then you realize hold them now you actually have to play the entire game
because there's a lot more expounding mechanics that you have to learn before you dive into
that particular mini game so i don't know if it's the mobile game aspect or no mobile game
developers which if you don't know is century games pTE um ltd which you know all the alphabists in the world
still don't know what that mean but when it comes to century games safe to say um their particular
advertisement strategy is obviously working so if you're saying it's misleading along with a lot of last
war survival game players saying their advertisement is also misleading because mind you we're not
going to go into a deep dive on that because already talked about it in specific but in layman's
terms there were fake games having advertisements and last war survival was the only complete game
that also had that mini game gameplay loot so a lot of the fake game advertisements was just targeted
the hatred was targeted was sent towards last war survival when ultimately it should have been sent to
the person who made the advertisement off of the fake game so that's just putting it in lamest terms
if you want to hear me go more in depth just type in last word survival analytic dreams with a
So anyways, getting back into white out survival, safe to say the lifetime revenue is through the roof.
And especially in this year alone, as this year is one of the most downloaded games, one of the most popular games to the point where specifically August of this year, it generated a whopping $136 million, which was number one worldwide.
And of course, this is the fastest, as far as getting back into the annual of 2025,
it's the third, no, no, I'm talking about 2023 specifically.
It's the third fastest 2023 game to $1 billion.
Only behind Monopoly Go and Honkai Star Rail, which we dove into Monopoly Go,
but I don't think I've talked about Han Kai.
Yeah, I haven't talked about Han Kai, but I've dived into Monopoly Go, the mobile game as well.
So when you look at the revenue split, safe to say it has a lot of strong markets in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China.
But of course, the United States has majority as far as 28 to 35 percent because the rest of the percentage is lesser when it comes to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China.
So United States have the majority of downloads when you look at it in totality.
So, of course, for people who aren't even aware of this game and maybe they don't play,
play mobile games and if you don't hopefully this is informative for you because when it comes to
these breakdowns for mobile games i started doing this because of course if i say i cover the entire
gaming industry then why am i leaving out billion billion dollar games only because it's in a
mobile gaming format i don't think that's fair what y'all think you guys see that's the problem
so anyways for people who don't know about white out survival just know as a free-to-play mobile
survival strategy game and it's developed by century games which a little bit of
bit about them. Century Games is from Singapore, Singapore, Register, Entity, and it's basically
the official arm of Century Games, a mobile game development studio and publisher founded in
2010 as D&DN or Diane-Dyenne, how have you pronounce it, interactive, sold to Zey-Jang Century,
who are a Tong group. I'm completely butchering these names for $1 billion in 2016. And it has over
a thousand employees so safe to say is a huge conglomerate and it develops strategy slash casual
titles like the mobile game we're getting into today which is white out survival but it also
has games like frozen city which is the spiritual successor it has games like family farm adventure
dragon scapes adventure you get the point this is not the first rodeo so when getting into them
specifically safe to say they've already had a mammoth amount of success with white house survival
so hopefully at some point
the other games can have that same type of success
because wide out survival is essentially
out of here as far as popularity.
So the core gameplay,
you're probably wondering, well, what do you do in this mobile game?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
As it's set in a glacial apocalypse,
humanity is nearly extinct.
Shepherd, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
I look at the state of gaming,
and I'm telling you nine times out of 10,
if you have a storyline that incorporates human,
is going to stink, then you already have a fire storyline. I ain't going to lot to you.
So anyways, as far as the player role, you are the chief rebuilding the last city amid
extreme code. So you have a lot of base building, which is fixed slot structures. You have a lot
of resource management that you're having to do, whether it's wood, meat, pulse.
You guys. And of course, coal, iron. And then they have a lot of survivors.
assignments whether it's hunters, cooks, workers. So you're doing a lot of
micromanaging in this particular game. But of course, in most
micromanaging games, you know, for the Sims, for example, they end up
making the gameplay loop fun as far as being able to micromanage certain things
if that's up your alley as a gamer. Some will call this more of like a cozy game,
but you do have certain things that happens, you know, that's tied to your
ability to micromanage as there's a lot of snowstorms that period out
Oh my goodness, that's not how you pronounce it.
Periodically, hopefully I said that right, kill unheeded survivors.
And when you look at the city expansion, it's locked behind furnace upgrades.
So there's a lot of things you have to do in the game to actually progress your specific town.
And if you don't do it, then guess what?
The snowstorm is going to say,
If you don't prepare efficiently and effectively, the snowstorm is basically,
who do de do? We beat them. We go forward.
And the snowstorm is going to go forward.
So ultimately, one of the main things, along with this game being very uncaptivating for mobile gamers, is that it has multiplayer.
As is state slash server-based progression, PVP wars, rallies, territory control, for example, Sunfire Castle in this specific game.
And then you have state versus state, which is SVS events, which, you know, state versus state.
state generates unlock content uh no state generations unlock content every 80 days so that's one of the
main reasons why people come back is to unlock certain elements that of course is because of you
achieving certain things and playing the game for a certain amount of time now of course when you
look at the heroes there's 38 plus heroes in this specific game 14 plus generations now
when you look at it the rsrrr and mythic
So when you're trying to unlock certain things, especially in this mobile game where a lot of gotcha elements is alive and well, right?
Safe to say a lot of people are going to be trying to go for those mythics and the rarest and things of that nature.
So some of the standouts in this game is Geronimo, which is a DPS, Mia, which is a healer and Molly, which is a F2P staple.
I don't know if it's free to play.
I don't know what that means.
What was F2P?
as far as like yeah i don't know what that means i ain't gonna kept to you so of course now when you look
at the late power um enhancements you have natalia and gina and basically as far as the design
is designed to have you have new generations to force reinvestment so the structure is already there
and of course when it comes to the time spent that's what some people well most people will want to
know well how much time am i going to have to spend on this particular game to get good that's the
ultimate question for everybody so as far as the tutorial length is one to two hours so not that long
of course mobile games like to take uh into consideration the time you spend on mobile games because a lot
of people aren't mobile gamers so they try to get you in quickly as far as learning the gameplay loop
so it only takes about one to two hours for the tutorial the main campaign which is basically getting a
city level to 30 i believe is weeks to months of f2p now now i have to look at the
look this up because what in the world does f2p mean i got to do some mickey research right quick i ain't
going to come to you what does it is me i know y'all probably saying this is completely micky research
i know it is okay so it is free to play i was think it was free to play i was like why do you keep
saying f2 p anyways um yeah so uh i lost my place oh yeah so weeks months as far as free to play
but it is faster with spending so of course the full completion is ongoing as far as two plus
years of veteran players and if you look at the main story it's basically an endless live service so think
of this as an easy game to pick up but hard to master especially when you get into the depths of
building your certain economy so you can kind of realize while a lot of people are spending certain
micro transactions to speed up the process because like i said as far as the main campaign to get
your city level to 30 weeks to months with free to play but way faster with spending so of course a lot of
people are spending because they're not trying to spend all that time but at the end of day you do have to like the core game play loop to actually spend that those amount of dollars so as far as the revenue no as far as the yeah the revenue in the sales we already dove into that that now I want to get into a little bit of the reviews as this is a review and sales roundup so when you look at a lot of different reviews safe to say they're all over the place I mean there's one review which is from Google play which I believe is like just some random
random that gave it a 1 out of 5 and of course there's multiple app store reviews from people giving it a 4 or 5 at a 5 and then of course you have VG times giving it a 7 out of 10 which I think you know sometimes what they say about the consensus being in the middle of the extreme right and the extreme left is true so you look at VG times giving it a 7 out of 10 saying quote a survival game based on the theme of the glacial apocalypse
And then of course,
Plain Forge gave it an 8 out of 10 saying, quote,
for a mobile strategy game,
whiteout survival looks surprisingly good.
The snowy environments actually feel cold.
Now, I don't know how that's possible, but, oh, my fault.
I was just saying, I don't know how that's possible.
But, you know, at the end of the day, hey, that was their review, not mine.
So one more review for the review roundup.
a hardcore hardcore, hardcore droid gave it a six out of 10 saying, quote, is not that white out survival isn't a fun game.
Ladies and gentlemen, that's all I have for you.
I ain't going to capture you.
See, that's the problem.
It seemed like a lot of these reviews aren't really long winded.
Let's look at Sharp Coder.
Okay, Sharp Coder blog gave this a nine at a 10.
So you know, they're a static, right?
They say, quote, white out survival stands out as a compelling entry in the survival strategy genre, combining reasons.
combining resource management, tactical combat, and social collaboration into a seamless experience.
That's a review right there.
Even though they gave it a 9 at 10, which is a little high.
But of course, when you look at the review, when you look at the revenue, safe to say,
a lot of people are really enjoying this game, which I always say, just because you sell a lot,
does not mean you make the highest quality.
And just because you don't sell at all, does not mean you're making the most egregious,
the most monstrosity.
All right, y'all get the point.
It doesn't mean like you're making the worst game.
So with that being said,
Whiteout survival, surprisingly, is on my radar because of it notoriously affecting the masses.
And you know this whole podcast is about covering the entire gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses.
So with that being said, click my link, sure in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
Have you played White Out Survival?
And if you're a mobile gamer, what is your favorite mobile game of 2025?
