Analytic Dreamz dives deep into K-pop’s first self-proclaimed genderless boy group (Wumuti, Rui, Hyun, Haru under 257 Entertainment) and their bold hyperpop sub-title track from the debut mini-album UXLXVE. Explore the chaotic digital sound, heavy bass, glitchy synths, and playful rebellion that define the song, plus the MV’s striking color-shifting visuals, androgynous styling, and seamless masculine-feminine fashion blend. Analytic Dreamz analyzes early fan and critic reception (mixed-positive with strong queer and international appeal), current streaming growth driven by Boys Planet alumni visibility, and why the genderless concept is fueling viral engagement despite minimal traditional chart or sales impact only nine days post-album release. Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, when it comes to the K-pop coverage over at notorious Mass Effect, safe to say that your boy has you covered. So with that being said, we're diving into the first popular, genderless K-pop group. And what I mean by that is, of course, X-L-O-V currently has one of the more played music videos in the world, number 10 in Brazil, number 10 in the United States, and number 10. in Chile or Chile if I'm pronouncing it wrong. So with that being said, the members of XLOV is Wemoudi, Rui, Hune, and Haru. They're under the label 257 entertainment.
Starting point is 00:00:50 And the reason why I wanted to cover them today is because not only are they notoriously impacted the masses, but when it comes from a marketing standpoint, they definitely found their lane as far as the people that they are marketing towards as with this genderless concept. with the overall music video having such vibrancy. And it's very interesting as far as the focus on hyperpop aesthetic to the point where they have their own fans in a sector that majority of the times is neglected as far as specifically marketing to them. Hopefully you get what I'm saying. So when it comes to the XLOV, they specialize in that market. And it safe to say that they don't.
Starting point is 00:01:36 currently have any Billboard Hot 100 or UK or I forgot pronounces the G-A-O-N-slash-the-C-Circle certifications but when it comes to music videos like I said earlier is one of the most played music videos in the world and more specifically is the 20th most playing music video in the world so when you look at them as a group safe to say they had their rise to fame early because of their appearance on boys planet. So if you don't know, when it comes to them having more success than earlier groups, well, no, more success out the gate compared to earlier groups is because they started off on the music show, the show.
Starting point is 00:02:23 It's literally called the show, November 11th. And of course, they also ended up on a boys planet. I said that earlier, but that's a specific high, uh, point a really a plot twist not plot twist but a turning point that's what i was looking for goodness i can't talk that was a turning point for the genderless group because of course this type of award show gave them more exposure and more publicity so that means that when it came out as a rookie group which xl ov is they grew quicker compared to other groups because of the tv show popularity and of course the international digital first audiences, and you cannot exclude the career fans as far as coming
Starting point is 00:03:10 out and helping them specifically as far as their music. Now, when it comes to the LGBTQ plus community, I do believe them specifically focusing on that market and them authentically showcasing themselves as far as how they're expressing themselves and in the market that they garnered from that marketing strategy if it continues to be authentic and especially if they show their everyday life if they talk about the struggles of how they're treated i think that will also be a great pathway to go down because of course just overall people like authenticity and their music so of course if you come with your own personal background stories and put it in your music i think a lot of people will gravitate towards it. As when it comes to my personal life and some of the friends
Starting point is 00:04:04 in your in my circle and maybe somebody else's, for me personally, it's really whatever they prefer. And it's no judgment from me because I prefer what I prefer. They prefer what they prefer. And then, you know, at the end of the day, let bygones be bygones. But obviously, when it comes to the XLOV and their crowd as far as the first of the first of the family, fans. They're judged a lot. So with that being said, as the unfair treatment should be highlighted by the group. And I think that what they are doing as far as providing a safe space for those type of people is why they have one of the most popular music videos in the world. So if you don't know, once again, this is a K-pop group. If you don't know what they specifically do as far as the
Starting point is 00:04:52 music just know that the three members all except Hume appeared on Boy's Planet and of course it helped them grow popular quick out of the gay compared to other Ricky groups and then when it comes to the genre just know that the music sounds more akin to hyper pop which plays off of a lot of different I really don't know how to I think it's like synth layers I think that's how you say with heavy bass and different type of what people would call digital beeps i don't know if that's the greatest description but as far as my personal review of xl ov i'm gonna keep that to myself because of course when it comes to a musical side of things i'm not going to lie to you i'm not going to
Starting point is 00:05:39 myself i do not think the music is that good i'm not going to cap to you and no it's not because the genderless it's not because of anything like that because i love uh little naz ex's music And with that being said, it's just because the overall musical quality to me is not the greatest. So the different sounds that they're making throughout the track, it could be appealing to some in which objectively, as far as the music video, it's appealing to some. But when it comes to the song, as far as the B-I-I-P track that was released recently, I don't believe that specific track is any good. I don't think it's high quality. I actually think it's pretty sub-heart. So that is why I gave you all the objective facts at the beginning.
Starting point is 00:06:22 I want to give you my personal sentiments at the end. So, but I'll let you find out for yourself. You know, don't take it for me, you know, listen to them for yourself and make your own decision. So with that being said, click my links here in my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about X-L-O-V and their specific latest track? And what do you think about them being one of the more popular groups in the world? And as the first ever K-pop genderless group.
