Simply because somebody is the top of what they do doesn't mean that you have to release all of their unreleased music.
Because I do believe at some point in time you're going to dig into something that that artist left in the vault for a reason.
Why am I saying this?
Exxentatioin and his estate has put out a new EP titled It Wasn't.
enough 10 minutes and 48 seconds long under compilation 2023 bad vibes forever LLC under exclusive
license to Columbia records basically this is a cash grab and I'm here to call it out because even though
ex extantacion is currently the biggest post hummus artist in the world I mean even bigger than
obviously it may be a little disrespectful but factually it is correct so xxentacion is bigger than
michael jackson mac miller bob marley to pot juice world pop smoke all of these musicians
are not bringing in the number of streams the xxentacion is bringing in why am i saying this because
this highlights where a major label comes in.
They see that amount of streams and they're like,
what else can you give me to satisfy the hunger of your fan base?
And then things like this happen.
So as a parent that is, that this is a cash grab,
10 minutes and 48 seconds makes no sense from a PR perspective.
If you're going to have a post hummus artist, well, not going, but if you're managing,
if your estate is going to keep putting out music from a post hummus artist.
I feel like there's a lot of respect that needs to happen because your fans can end up
turning on the management team and now you have a situation where he's no longer the top-selling
post-hummus artists in the world.
If you keep doing things like this, which I consider a blatant cash grab,
I don't know if X-extentatioans would keep coming back even to listen to its old music.
They could get to a point where listening to the old music,
every time they bring up the profile to listen to his old music,
they keep getting reminded by the fact that his estate keeps putting out music
just to keep making money off of him
and in the long run
because I know what you're probably saying
oh but his estate is his family
and his wife and well not wife
but his baby mom and kid
when I see Columbia Records
under the production
or under the copyright for an EP
best believe
even though they're helping out with the distribution
of the product
they're also getting a slice of the pie
when it comes to the product.
So this is not just an old independent release
where it's just going straight to his family.
This is major label packaging,
label, major label promotion for a major label bottom line,
not for ex extantation's families by the bottom line.
They keep approaching them for new releases solely to make money off of them.
Obviously, you can say that for any artist,
but when a post-Hummus art,
artist well no when this is happening to a post hummus artist the music in the vault was in the
vault for a reason when that artist was alive so that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know
one of my social medias what do you think about the whole ex ex tectacion situation do you feel
like his estate is milking him for everything he has as far as his unreleased music in the vault
or are you satisfied with the current releases
