Episode Date: May 26, 2023

Linktree: https://linktr.ee/Analytic“LETS PRETEND WE’RE NUMB” is another softer, more emotional song from X. The beat, produced by Khaed, samples parts from Yuna’s “Someone Out of Town”.X ...is rapping about a girl, most likely his ex-girlfriend Cinthia, and what it feels like seeing each other after their relationship ended in a bad way. He knows that she misses him and is trying to use other guys to make X jealous. Likewise, X is trying to do the same with girls, but they aren’t giving him the same emotional connections as his ex-girlfriend. Towards the end of the song, X raps about the anger he feels when thinking about her and starts to blame himself for losing her.source: XXXTENTACION – LETS PRETEND WE’RE NUMB Lyrics | Genius LyricsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Starting point is 00:00:00 First of all, rest in peace, XXXTentatio. Second of all, I don't understand how all of these people, and I mean all of these people, act like a new track came out for XXTentacian, when that's just simply not the case. Like, if you really think about it, the only way to really stop somebody like X, X, X, Tentacion, is to not put out his music anymore from his estate.
Starting point is 00:00:28 And obviously people still want XXX music, so they're going to take whatever type of new music they can get from them as it justifies the love and just the undying or unwavering support for this artist. So his estate is going to keep putting out ex extantation unreleased music if y'all are going to keep clamoring for it. But this man did not put out a single. I don't know why everybody's acting like this man put out a single because that's kind of crazy. When I was looking at it, I was like, so they wanted me to cover something that's not out. Sounds about right.
Starting point is 00:01:06 But then I actually looked at XXentatio and the last time he actually dropped the album or even a single. And that was last year. So it's not out of the realm for this man to put out some type of music, you know? And I feel like in general, when you do put out music, It gets to the point where your fan base is going to start to not revolt because I don't think they'll ever do that to his estate because I think his mom is over that or his son or whatever.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I feel like they're going to get to the point where ex extantacionation is going to be immortalized to the point where his drops won't ever be criticized by the fans even though they should be. And I know that sounds crazy, but if you really think about it, If you have a rabbit and a cult-like fan base like XXX Tentacion and everybody's asking for a track that's not even out on DSPs titled, Let's Pretend When Numb. I don't think that's a coincidence. I mean, the title of the track is kind of what the fans are letting you know about the favorite artist XXX. They're letting you know that at the end of the day, they're numb to him, I guess, being gone, rest in peace. and they just want more music to feel like he's here again. I've seen conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory talking about he's still alive in Cancun on some Tupac type tip.
Starting point is 00:02:35 And I think those conspiracy theories are really insensitive to the people that are really affected by him passing away. So, you know, I don't want to make no somber segment. But when you talk about unreleased music from an artist who's passed away, which is technically post-hummus music. It's like, how much do we put up with until we're like, okay, y'all are good with XXXTentatio. Y'all can stop clamoring for his music and y'all can stop bullying his mom and who else to keep putting out unreleased tracks from this man. Because this man did not even put out this track and everybody's like, why are you not covering it? So I think for the future, post-homist music should be more like a celebration album and then you should let it. it alone obviously it's up to the estate if xx extenacione's mom came out it's like oh we want to keep
Starting point is 00:03:32 putting out this music then i understand and obviously you know they can do whatever they want because of their state and now it's under their name but i think that it's definitely insensitive to promote a song like it's out when it's not even on dsps and you never know when this music is even made so it's kind of um interesting how these fans are are promoting this track like it's out on when it's really not. But it's more of like an emotional song from X, and it's produced by K-H-A-E-D, how have you pronounced it? No disrespect, I just don't know how to pronounce that.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I'm not trying to mispronounce it. But I think for his fans, they really do deserve to let themselves... I'm trying to find the easiest way to say this. The fans of X-X-E-Xentacion needs to come to terms with the fact that he's gone, and realize that all of the music they're hearing now is probably not music that he actually wants out. So anyways, click my link to your bio. Let me know one of my social medias.
Starting point is 00:04:38 What do you think about XXentatione and the track that's out, but not on DSPs, which means like Spotify, Apple, music, Amazon, music, stuff like that. But it's out on, like, the internet, if that makes sense. So I guess it was leaked. I don't know what happened. But let's pretend we're numb. by XXXcentation
Starting point is 00:04:58 What do you think about it? And do you think that his fans should be satisfied with the music that they already have and accept that he's no longer here?
