Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, ladies and gentlemen, it is time to get into, aka. So with that being said, West Coast rapper has a highly anticipated album titled 2093. Now, I ain't going to lie to you. I could care less. I could care less, honestly. I ain't going to lie to you because I'm not going to listen to an album. But I might as well report on it because everybody's talking about it. That's it.
Starting point is 00:00:31 You know, transparency is a great thing whenever you implemented. So with that being said, let's talk about. how one of the benefactors of being on the Drake album has put out his third studio album 2093 well no following up his third studio album afterlife so this would be his fourth studio album and yeat if i do say so myself is under let's see this man's under capital records i forget who's capital under sony i forget anyways capital is the subsidiary of a major label. So basically he's signed to a major label, which tells me that his sales should be through the roof as far as him combining his coat-like fan base to an actual major label.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Because the album before that was under Geffen Records, which technically is still a subsidiary, but it is definitely not capital records. I do believe capital records is more of the prominent subsidiary compared to Geffen Records, which I've heard than before but geffin is more new capital has been around for a minute so anyways all you need know as you know if you're a fan of i just got to let you know that the biggest thing is his organic appeal to his core audience that's the reason why this machine is being put behind them because it's not that yeat is just the best rapper the best of making music he has co he has cultivated a fan base that cares about whenever he puts out music and to that I always got
Starting point is 00:02:24 to give a hats off because honestly it's not easy to make a or a build a fan base so whenever you do to this magnitude and now you have major labels uh through some subsidiaries, of course, trying to boost your numbers. Then at that point, it seems more organic to me personally because I see people come out of nowhere. I believe the industry plan. And then you realize that they actually did not have anything and it had a lot of networking ties.
Starting point is 00:02:53 But with Yeat, you can kind of look at it, his rollout as far as just putting out music in general, just trying to build his way up, grind and grind and grind again. I mean, he's been putting out music since, I mean, if you really go all the way back he's really been putting out music since uh 2018 so now it's 2024 people don't realize the type of obstacles you had to jump over go through to even be on this stage so now the album 2093 is having all type of promotional uh engravings and like huge uh uh land and stuff like as far as the logo um the album has a future and little wayne The album promotion is all across the world.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I mean, a global type rollout. If y'all don't, that's a budget right there. That's budget going all the way out to a global marketing strategy. So you could say social media is technically a global marketing strategy, but in real life, not everybody has social media. So when you have real life global promotion, that is a different type of budget. That's what I'm trying to let y'all know. So with yeat, I do think that the biggest thing that he can do is probably, I would say having number one, I ain't going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:04:23 At this point, hip hop is in a certain situation to where it brings me back to the line the goat had where he said, if I left hip hop, it would be a bunch of orphans. But if I stay in this, it would be a bunch of corpses. And I really do at this point look at hip hop as a non-compete if Drake stops putting out music. Kanye West just did around 100,000 first week. And if he's one of our goats, which he is in hip hop selling around 100,000, I don't care what y'all got to say about him being independent or not signed. Kanye West is Kanye West. he is obviously cemented for this foreseeable future even after all his blasphemous comments. And even he by himself can't sell over 200,000 first week.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Y'all don't want me to bring up, you know who, who just sold one million back to back last year and all these other pop and country artists out here selling 300 to 400,000. And then steadily keeping that first week for the second. third, fourth with not as much drop off as hip hop music. So that is the main thing I'm looking forward to with this Yeet album. I'm hoping people actually support it in a way that maybe he could be one of the more high performers in the future going forward in hip hop because I'm not saying we don't have a lot of high performance in hip hop.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I'm just saying at this point it seems like it's if it was a scale, it seems like it's tipping downward as far as the heights of our appeal. And it seems like there's an invisible ceiling that I think he, because of his background, yes, he could crack similar to how Drake did. So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you, I ain't go a lot. Let me hold on.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Let me breathe this back on. What do you think about? And also, do you think, will you think, will, carry the hip-hop crown for the foreseeable future.
