Starting point is 00:00:00 The biggest gangster in hip-hop currently holds the title for the best hip-hop album of 2023. Now it's up to the hip-hop community to take that crown away from him, whether it's Little Uzi Verde with the pink tape, whether it's Drake with whatever album he's going to drop because he apparently he pushed it back specifically to be on this album not once but twice with young thug and if you haven't caught on by now i'm talking about mr gunna wanna with a gift and a curse having the best album of 2023 and a lot of people's eyes in my eyes i still think nf hope is the best album of 2023. I know a lot of people don't listen to him. So they're probably like, what are you talking about? That's the best album. Just listen to it. I promise you will thank me after. Or thank me later.
Starting point is 00:01:05 I just play my fault. My fault. You know, I got to get my Drake jokes in there as he is the goat. But, you know, let's get back on topic. As Young Thug just released a new album titled Business is Business, which has 15 tracks. No, it doesn't have 15 tracks. Hold on. Give me one second. it has one two three four five y'all know i can't count y'all got to give you a second i'm fain't get a calculator no i'm just joking i had to pull the checklist one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fourteen fifteen so that's a total of fifteen 46 minutes in album length and it's his first album on his own label ys lords of course because it is a label you know if fanny willis is listening just know why so is a label unless you know you heard from gunna himself and he says a game but you know that's
Starting point is 00:02:05 besides the point right he didn't snitch at all so anyways this is the first album released by young thug on his own label ysel since him being arrested on RICO charges in 2021. Now, a lot of critics are saying that this album is solid. I would have to give it a couple more listens, but all I'm going to say is the features definitely came to carry the album, which is something you would expect from an artist that's highly regarded, such as Young Thug. I mean, we have Drake on here.
Starting point is 00:02:38 We have Little Dirk on here. No, not Little Dirk. Little Uzi-Virt on here. We have Drake twice. Travis Scott's on here twice, which I don't know who told Jack Quees that this man that he should be on this album because of the look. But let me just tell you, I still am not over the Astro World situation. And you shouldn't be either because a lot of people died in that concert. I don't want to be morbid, but we have to look at the facts, look at the way that he's been arrested for inciting riots way back in Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:03:14 If you look it up, he was arrested while performing in Arkansas because he was inciting a riot because he's known for having fans come up. He would tell his security, let them through in a mosh pit. And literally he has a verse on one of his tracks that says, it ain't no mosh pit if ain't no injuries. If that's not inciting a riot, I don't know what it is. So that ultimately led up to the horrific incident with Asteroil. So I don't know who told this man that this was the perfect opportunity to pop back out, but we still haven't forgot what you did. With that aside, we're going to get into just in general the overall perception of young thud at this very moment.
Starting point is 00:04:06 It's very interesting. Who's canceled or who's canceled a bull in the hip-hop industry and who's not? When you tell on people who commit crimes and you're in that lifestyle, obviously you looked at as a snitch, aka Gunnawana. But then on the flip side, with Young Thug literally being indicted because of him putting out hits on people's heads to get them killed, dead, not here no more. Everybody's like, oh, that's fine. He's just being a gangster. So we're going to continue to support this man, even though a lot of people. of charges are coming to light which will indefinitely probably put away young thug indefinitely
Starting point is 00:04:51 and by indefinitely i just mean it's going to be a long time we don't know how long but i don't think he's being this case in the slightest because the information that the feds have seems to be legit so with that out the way it would be young thugs first album since being uh well no since 2021 punk that was his last solo album and that earned 90 000 sales first week and debuted at number one on the billboard top uh 100 and i feel like in general this album is going to surpass those numbers by a landslide i mean you have drake on here twice Travis scott on here twice even though i do have negative things to say about him at all times you have future on this album you have 21 savage on his album twice, the Uzi Ver on his album, this is going to easily surpass what Punk did in
Starting point is 00:05:50 2021 with 90,000 first week sales. If I had to guess, I would say this will easily crack 110 to 120 as far as first week sales, and that's strictly off of the multiple Drake features alone. And so when you take in the rest of the project, you know that's going to be streamed a lot because there's a lot of UziVirt fans out there. There's a lot of 21 Savage fans out there. And there's definitely a lot of future fans out there that love when he collabs with Young Thug. So at the end of the day, all of the illegal activity put to the side, a lot of people are going to be supporting this album.
Starting point is 00:06:29 And truthfully, I think he only released his album because Gunna, without his album last week, called A Gift and a Curse. I mean, he literally, if you look it up, Young Thug is on a phone call saying that he's going to drop when that exfitive drops. his music. I'm so serious. Look it up. You can't make the stuff up. This man's on call basically talking about he's going to drop when that man drops because he's mad at him. And he's talking about Gunna. Obviously, he can't just say Gunna because, you know, that's probably not the best thing to do when you're indicted on literally the same thing, you know, inciting violence or whatever. But having Young Thug going up against Gunna is very interesting because I think he was surpassed his first week sales by a lot. I mean, when you look at Gunna,
Starting point is 00:07:15 I think he sold like 75 to 80,000 first week. And Young Thug's last album, Punk, did 90,000 first week. So I think this was surpassed that by landslide. Definitely he would outsell Gunna. But as far as quality, I would say right now, I would have to keep listening to it because it's an entire body of work. Of course, I got to keep listening to it. Even though Young Thugs' music isn't that hard to digest,
Starting point is 00:07:39 I still have to give it some time to see if it's better than Gunna. but currently I will say I will be the one to go out on the limb Is I you say? I don't know. I'll be the one to go out and say that Gunnawana has the best album of 2023
Starting point is 00:07:56 in most people's eyes and we will see who is able to take that crown away from them but I don't think it was Young Thug with this album but I guess I had to give it more listens to ultimately decide which album is ultimately better. So click my link to your in my bio.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about the Young Thug album, Business Is Business? And if you've listened to the entire project, what was your favorite track?
