Some people say it's folly, but I'd rather have the lolly.
With money, you can make a smash.
There's nothing quite as wonderful as money, money, money.
There is nothing like a newly minted pound.
Everyone must hanker for the bushness of a banker.
It's accountancy that makes the world go round, round, round, round.
You can keep your, whatever that word is,
for it's only just a phase because money makes the world go round now ladies and gentlemen
that is poetry at its finest remember when drake and kendrick was getting along and they put out
the song poetic justice this entire track by young thug juice world and niki manage
Yes, you heard me correctly.
All of those three artists are in the same exact track.
And this track is beyond fire.
It was originally leaked as the World Go Round track in 2020.
So way back in the day, it was already released.
And because it was made so long ago, it was originally slated for Young Thugs album that's already out titled Punk.
But of course, I guess it never made.
made a lot of day. It just surfaced once more. A lot of people are starting to reacclimate
themselves with the track. And I do think that this is a candidate for the best track of 2023.
Obviously, it's not saying much because a lot of artists are not dropping. Instead, they're asking
you to pay $4 to $500 to sit in the nosebleeds, but that's a whole other conversation for a
another day.
So none of your favorite artists are dropping.
They're going on tour, asking you for money,
and not put in our music anytime this year.
But what we have gotten is a release,
well, quote-unquote release from Young Thugs
since he's currently incarcerated
on a RICO indictment back in 2021, I believe.
So Metro Boomin is like the producer of this album,
and they conjured up a bunch of young thug unreleased verses paired it with a bunch of features and this is what we got so a lot of people are killing the album and i understand why but on the on the flip side do y'all really think young thug is going to be able to redo versus rap about up-to-date current topics that's going on in his life like he's literally incarcerated so i was i wasn't really going with the biggest
expectation when it came to Young Thug and his latest album that just came out not to like four
days ago called Business is Business. But with this leak, it does show me that Nikki Minaj did
kind of want to be on the album because she did go back to redo her verse, which I don't even know if she
redid it, but there's a pause in her verse when she literally whispers free thug. So I'm thinking that she was
wanting this track to be on the album. And
Atlantic will also probably want this track to be on the album because it has the one and only
Juice World. So that's mysterious to me on why the track is now on the album. And the only thing I can
think of is that maybe it was the clearance issue because if you don't know, it samples the track
from Eric Idol way back in, I don't know how long that song came out.
Let me see. Way back in, whoa, 13 years ago. That is, yeah, now that's, hey, like, what's
2010? Yeah, that is a minute ago. So Eric Idol's song titled Money Song, literally it's just called
Money Song from Monty Python Sings. You can look that up yourself, but that's the beauty in
using a sample perfectly in a way that it not overtakes the track like it does in certain occasions
with like first class with jack harlowe or with um the drake track i forget what that was called
like when when the sample overtakes the track that is something like i really dislike i kind of enjoy
when a sample adds to the track but it's not the entire track oh nice for what yeah so for drake's
nice for what in jack harlowe's first class i felt like the sample overtook the song like you could have
literally took off all of those verses and the song would have still been fire but with this track
it's more of the same feel okay if i was compared to a to a current song gunners and i can't say it
because it's a pg podcast you know but all i'm gonna say is the letter for the word starts with
if in the entire track is titled what you mean. So do of that what you will. All I'm
to say is that track is beyond fire. Definitely a candidate for best song of 2023. And in general,
I think it's one of Gunna's best performing tracks recently. So obviously it's not better than like
pushing P or whatever, but you know what you mean is definitely one of Gunna's top performing tracks
currently. So with Metro, also, I keep saying he produced the album, but specific beats, you know,
he collapsed with other producers. So this song specifically was produced by Weezy. And, okay, yeah, that
was it. So it's produced by Weezy. The beat, of course, uses the sample in a very hip-hop-centric
way where the Aidaway's kick in, the beat goes crazy, and Ayantha comes in with the chorus.
and from the first A to weight that drops, you realize that this is a classic.
Like this track is beyond phenomenal.
And not only because juice swirls on it, not only because Young Thug gave us a timeless chorus,
I mean, who doesn't want to sing money makes the world go round over and over in your head?
You know, in the, it's been century, well, the 17th century was when the phrase
originated. And way back in the English playwriting days, they was putting that into all type of
plays, talking about money makes the world go around. And he that has it can do what he will.
And of course, the phrase has changed over time. You know, of course, hip hop took that and ran with
it. And so now a lot of different people are using it. I mean, I remember the godfather used it. And they
said, quote, in this world, there's only one thing that matters, money. So the godfather is just a
classic in general. But, you know, that's just a whole other conversation. But I really wanted to just
kind of touch on the fact that the classic tracks and timeless tracks, I think touch on a broad
topic. And with money, making the world go around, how broad can you get in that specific
phrase? And to have Nikki Minaj give such a wonderful verse, to have Juice World come on and does
what he does perfectly freestyles and just gives a tremendous verse. I still do think the best verse
on this track by far is Nikki Minaise as she has some bars on here that was like, wait, hold up.
There's no, I mean, I literally had to look up if Nikki Minaj bought Barbie land because that's
what she ended her verse with. So I looked it up and unfortunately for all my barbs out there,
I do consider myself a barb as a straight mail. I have to add that point because, you know, people
people be trying you nowadays.
But as a barred myself,
I had to do my due diligence as a journalist and look up if
Nikki Minaj actually spent $20 million on Barbie land.
And I looked it up and guess what?
It wasn't true, man.
It was a rumor.
And it originated from one of her satirical websites.
It's not hers like Nikki,
but it was a satirical website.
called the Babylon B and i guess they're known for the like mistake for real news or just a humorous
take on news kind of like a fake news type site but i don't want to like disrespect them but i'm
just like kind of breaking it down and a claim that nicky bought the mansion and uh hidden heels
for 20 million dollars in california renamed it to barbilland and also claim that nicky
minage had the filing of the mansion with the barbie themed furniture and decorations so do
of that what you will that's a very exorbitant lie because there's no evidence to actually support
the claim not saying this completely false or it couldn't happen in the future because those type of
transactions do take time i wouldn't know but you know from the research i've done it takes time
mckey menage uh buying the the 20 million dollar mansion and renaming it barbie land is just a rumor
and even her real estate agent came out to deny the rumor which i don't even know
know why he would have to do that but or she i don't know like what gender or um real estate agent is but
at the end of the day it wasn't you know it wasn't true so i had to look that up and after that
i got into the the rest of her verse which kind of it didn't take me by surprise because i do think
niki menage i'm gonna keep reiterating this nicky minage to me is one of the best rappers of all
time she's in my top 10 list and it's because of the way she wraps and just puts words together
that she really potentially crap she um she uh goes at her lyrics in a very intentional way she
intentionally puts double triple entendres every single time she writes a verse and i think for
the way that rap is nowadays you have to beyond appreciate the amount of respect that nicky
has for the craft of rapping so anyways um the biggest thing for me
when I was looking at her verses is the standout for me was when she said about that denaro
so if you want me you got a peso just put a couple grand in some rubber bands
one my uh one my look couldn't get a glance wonder what the gross like like my name was lance
just dropped 20 million on barbie land now that's hold up i know i've been getting uh
comments that i need to use my uh sound board more but let me just tell you when when it comes
comes to the rap scene, when it comes to Nikki Minaj and just the way that she
wraps, that is, that is just straight bars. Like that, honestly, like, the way that she
wraps, it just makes me feel like, why does other rappers not take the craft as serious
as her? Like, it's just so blatant how serious Nikki takes her pen and her lyricism and the way
that she writes her rap. I mean, she would literally let you know every 20 seconds that she
writes or rap and i'm glad that she does because a lot of these artists do not and um and i was
looking up the sound effect i wonder if i have it oh yeah here we go so this is not me okay it's pg
podcast pg podcast but i just had to get a little uh feature from the the legendary iconic funk flex
himself to to to stamp this verse from niki minaz on this track called money with the unthug and juice
world because yeah listen that's cool motherfucking boys niggum you know
nothing about that yeah listen that's cool motherfucking bars nigger you know nothing about that for all my mumble
rapper fans out there for all my auto tune oh he's just creating melody type fans out there
that's that's what actual bars sound like like when you listen to nicky minage as funk flex just put it
in the very expeditive way or explicit way that's called real bars that is actually
bars that Nikki was given on this entire track and for me I'm looking at this I did she
see that she went on um she had a latest episode of Queen radio not too long ago it was like
June 24th I believe and it was called Barbie bachelor's degree if you wanted to look it up
and she was kind of just talking about her upcoming role as a Barbie in a live action film I
didn't know she was in it so I mean I guess she uh I don't know if that's a spoiler I ain't see any
trailers. So if you didn't see the trailers, if you did see the trailers, maybe that's a spoiler.
I don't know. But she said to herself on her Queen Radio, and she did include A will be a musical.
She talked about the importance of representation of children's media and how she hopes that her
role as a Barbie will help inspire young girls around the world. Of course, that looks like her.
And what else? She said she's always been inspired by the character, which, I mean, if you, if you're,
literally, I mean, Nikki Minaj fandom and coat-like fan, but.
is called the bars like the barbs is attributed to nicky's fan base at this point like when you think
of the barbs you don't think of any type of barbie character like at this point you think of
nicky minage's fan base also she talked about the importance of representation um all right i said
that point and she also gave some other details about the film but i'm not going to spoil it
rather than the fact that it's going to be centered around a musical um and what else but you
yeah that was basically she kind of just talked about the whole Barbie theme and then she dropped the
i think she dropped or just previewed or leaked or whatever i think she's the one who um played the money
track from young thugs album but when will this actually hit dsp is it's probably what you're
wondering because you're probably looking it up on spotify opera music right now and probably
don't see it and wondering what am i talking about well this is currently only on
on everything but DSP.
So like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram.
Well, I don't know if it's on Twitter, but you know, you get it.
It's not on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google, none of that.
It's strictly for YouTube and just like internet consumption outside of the official DSP platforms.
So at this point, the world go around, which is they changed the title from that to money is certified.
From me personally, it's certified as a classic as I just think the melody, the chorus, the verses from all three of them was amazing.
And overall, it's just a theme that everybody can get behind because who doesn't acknowledge that the money, for better or worse, everybody acknowledges that money makes the world go around.
So anyways, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
