The festival had already been dealing with crowd control issues on the day prior to Scott's concert, but the fatal crush occurred on the day of — and during — Scott's concert itself. Eight people died the night of, and two more died in the hospital over the following days. The crowd crush was caused by a surge of people towards the front of the stage, which caused people to be crushed against each other and unable to breathe. Many people were also trampled. The crush began around 9:30 p.m., and the show continued for another 40 minutes.Ten people died in the crush, including nine concertgoers and one security guard. They ranged in age from 9 to 27. Hundreds of others were injured, some of them seriously.Travis Scott has been criticized for his role in the tragedy. Starting point is 00:00:00 Because Jack Quees took it upon himself to pop out once again thinking that the whole world would just think he's doing a solid for Young Thug and disregard why he disappeared in the first place, let me remind you. Let me do my due diligence to the people who lost their lives at that tragic event that Travis Scott, I think, ultimately encouraged as far as activity. And just the rambunctious nature that he always cultivated as having his concerts always overcrowded, always hiring just novices as far as poor crowd management. Travis Scott's behavior, always encouraging the crowd to rage, telling people to come through the mosh pit, even though they didn't get a mosh pit ticket, which leads to overcrowding, which led to the actual astro world disaster that resulted in the deaths like died like 10 people and hundreds more was injured now of course Travis guy's not the main was it was arbitrage
Starting point is 00:01:17 for the situation but he definitely should have stopped the concert when he saw some of the people was in danger because he definitely was aware He was more aware of it than a lot of people were trying to attribute to him. People are like, oh, he didn't see it at all when he did stop. He literally stopped the crowd at one point because one person was like passed out or whatever. But then he kept going even after that. So I think he understands the role that he played in it, which is why he's taking this hiatus from making or even putting out music.
Starting point is 00:01:47 And he's talking about the whole, oh, utopia. He's about to put it out. But in general, I feel like even the apology that he gave was very inconsistent. sensitive in the in the manner that he gave it it was almost like he was forced to do it i mean if you look at the video the travis scott apology video to the astro world he's rubbing his face he's looking all around he's not serious i mean he's basically like man why do i have to do this apology it wasn't even my fault it felt like he was thinking it wasn't his fault at the end of the at the end of the day and there's so many factors that attributed to the astro world disaster so i'm not going to put it solely
Starting point is 00:02:22 on him but all i'm going to say is is i keep going back to him being in and in and arrested for inciting a ride in Arkansas and that was way before this Astro World situation even happened and a lot of people in the industry says or say that just the demonic messages of the Astero World theme of like of Iqa all in here and and a lot of just crazy outlandish messages that's written all over the Asterold just tour was just leading to this situation it was ultimately Travis Scott who cultivated that type of energy and aroma for his concerts.
Starting point is 00:02:59 So whether you want to believe he was the main culprit or not, I feel like he had most of the blame for the AstroWorld situation happening. And I will never stop talking about it until he gives us a real apology or something that's adequate for us to feel like, oh, he actually learned and moved on. Like when Michael Vick got arrested
Starting point is 00:03:19 and did his time for fighting dogs, the way that he came back and just had his activist or activism as far as speaking out against dogs fighting, donating to certain organizations that was trying to stop dogs from, well, basically breeding dogs to fight. He donated to whole organizations. It was just a whole ordeal of him trying to write his wrongs. I don't even think Travis Scott has even come close to that type of management.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Like he hasn't even came close to trying to. And some people may say, what if he's doing? it behind we if he's taking care of the families behind the scenes i need to see it in the public because the astro world situation and the whole lead-up to it happened in the public so until i see that every time i see travis scy's name i'm bringing up the astro world situation so anyways click my link show in my bio let me know one of my social medias this segment will be titled abracadabra by young thug and travis scott produced by metro booming and london on the track so let me know one of my social media, DM me and tell me, do you think that we should let go of the AstroWorld
Starting point is 00:04:33 situation, or are you too still waiting for a real Travis Scott apology for his role in the situation?
