When it comes to NBA young boy, I'm not going to lie to you. What in the world is he doing? Like honestly, young boy used to be the movement of YB's better. But now, currently, the only thing he's better at is bringing a lot of media hip-hop heads to quote-unquote grave digger mountain. Because as far as the top 50, I've been used to. to seeing NBA young boy at least in the top 50. But in the whole year of 2024, he has been in hiding of the top 50.

Now, why don't I keep bringing it up? Because a lot of people come into this game thinking that, oh, young boy is one of the hottest rappers out, analytically, of course. But when it comes to music, he puts out so much at a rapid pace. The output is exponential compared to many other artists, but yet you go to the top 50, and the people who claim that young boys won the hottest rappers is not even putting up

numbers like Yeat with 2023, which is currently at the top with 72,000 sales. Or if you're talking about 21 Savage, which is technically still a young rapper in the game, his album American Dream with 37,000. I'm talking about like currently top 50 at the moment with them currently putting out music. Then you have to go down a little bit because of course hip hop is competing with the likes of Taylor Swift Noah Kayahan. I don't even know who that is. Morgan Wallin.

A lot of other genres. But then if you keep going down, we see Rod Wave, who's also considered an up-and-coming rapper. he's also on the charts in number 40 with 18,000 sales. Let me zoom in. You know, my eyes don't work. And then everybody loves to say that little baby is the one falling off and that he's on a downward spiral. But his album, my turn, which I still to this day think is his greatest album he's ever put out, that's on the top 50 with 17,000 sales.

And I don't want to hear the excuse of, oh, those are just the album numbers because Young Boy has decided to that came out November 10th, 2023. He has Rich's Op that came out May 12th, 2023. And then he has Don't Try This at Home, which came out April 21st, 20203. And all of these are under UMG recording, which is literally the biggest music label in the world. There's a reason why they're beefing with the whole. whole platform of TikTok. Try to find any other music label that's going to beef with TikTok. So with that being said, I think I already said don't try this at home. But anyways, the albums

are under an exclusive license to UMG recordings, which is Universal Music Group. I rest my case, that album ironically came out January 6th, 2023. And as far as this year, he doesn't have any albums out but the albums that I just said a lot of them which with little baby Rodway is on the top 50 charts now the charts isn't everything but when you're assigned to one of the biggest music groups in the world I'm sorry if I'm not amazed or impressed with all of these music releases not even making a dent in the music well in the market share basically what you're UMG, they like market share.

There's a reason why young boys even on house arrest to be able to have the ability to make music. It's literally because of the positive impact that they said that he would have with him releasing music. Which, granted, that's not more of a statistical stat because you can't really measure impact when it comes to communities and things of that nature. but when it comes to UMG, you know good and dang well why they want NBA young boy making music. It's because they want more of the market share. But currently, obviously, I listen to him. I like his music, which is not the popular thing to say because a lot of people just say young boy music is trash, which I don't think it is. I think he's lacking motivation simply because him being confined in his mansion, which obviously I'm not like, oh, boo-hoo for him.

like you're in a mansion but at the same time i do acknowledge that that could hinder your creativity when it comes to experiencing life events so with that being said that's all i really wanted to talk about i mean he literally has the new track out right now titled boat that just released on dsps it's been out for two days on youtube i believe but as far as boat it just came out February 29th 24 so we'll see where it ends up on our overall charts but at the end of the day for the young boy fans out there i just had to talk to y'all let y'all know that even though your artist is obviously one of the more successful musicians at his age he still has yet to put out that body of work that just encapsulates the masses for the past two to three years because obviously when he

first came out of when he first went into what was it called house arrest he was more analytically superior than a lot of his artists well then a lot of his peers but now it seems like he's really tapered off and his sales are indicative of him bringing a lot of media heads to quote-unquote gravedigger mountain there's no coincidence that he's now opening his doors to a lot of press the decline of the overall sales so with that being said NBA young boy is still one of the more successful when it comes to overall stats but it's more singles than anything as far as albums and charting and keeping it in that top 50 he's struggled but as far as the overall aspect he's still one of the biggest artists in the world I just had to put it in perspective because currently people

will say YBs better, but I would say to who because of the names I just announced as far as currently being in the top 50. So all I'm saying is at some point young boy is going to have to put some out that actually sticks in 2024. And hopefully he does because hip hop needs some type of statistical boost. Because if it's not for the goat putting out, putting up Wilk Chamberlain numbers every single time he drops, hip hop would be looking desolate when it comes to the other genres.
