Score one for Warner Music Group because I have to admit, looking at the market share at a whopping 67% is Universal Music Group.
And why am I saying that?
Because the 16% that Warner Music Group possesses as far as music market share has been greatly impacted by the one and only.
Zach Bryan.
So I'm sure that
Universal Music Group down the line
will try to get this man, Zach
Brian at some point, but currently
he is under Warner
Music Group.
So with that, he has
his own subdivision
of Warner that's called
the Belting Bronco Records,
which is founded
by Zach Brian.
And
as far as
that label, he's the head of it, of course, because he's the founder. And then, you know, he has other
artists under that umbrella. But the biggest thing you need to know is that Pink Skies by Zach Bryan
just, well, not just released, but released May 24th, 2024. And boy, did it cause a bunch of hoopla.
Yes, I just said hoopla, as the masses are quantifying this specific track as a pop song. But from the
words of Zach Bryan himself, Pink Skies is not a pop song. So I think he's upset that the overall
playlisting of Pink Skies is being played at pop radio stations. I don't know why that would be
such a big deal, but for Zach Bryan, it's the biggest of deals. As with him being 28 and very
reactive to certain situations and certain implications made upon him.
He is not pleased with the development of pink skies being played on every single pop
playlist because apparently with him, he expresses displeasure, of course, like I just quoted
him.
And some fans are saying that he should be grateful that this track that's a part of a 17-track album,
the Great America for scene set to be released soon, if you don't know.
It's the album title, The Great American Bar Scene, is primarily being promoted through pop genres.
And he would like to have the decision to maintain control over his music genre.
But let me tell you something.
When it comes to music industry, they do whatever they want.
And you have to deal with the consequences.
So as far as just being accepted by the masses as a pop creator, even my favorite musician goes through his tumultuous times as far as being labeled a pop artist and not his actual genre that he would like to be attributed to, which is hip hop.
So when you look at I Remember Everything, which is the most successful track from Zach Bryan currently featuring Casey.
Hold up.
I don't even.
Casey must graves.
Must Graves.
That's an interesting last name that I've ever seen one.
But that's his most successful track on the charts currently.
With that being on the charts for about 39 weeks.
So talk about longevity.
Goodness.
Peaked at number one.
And it's currently a 19.
So it's the 19th most popular track in the world currently.
And then when we go over.
to the project side of things.
Zach Bryan, which is his self-titled album,
came out all the way back in August 25th, 2023.
So really not that too long ago.
And then you have the American Heartbreak,
which that album came out May 20th, 2022.
Those respectively, as far as Zach Bryan is considered,
is number seven as far as the most popular albums out currently in the world
at 37,000 weekly units moved.
And then American Heartbreak, that has 31,000 units as far as weekly.
The reason I'm saying all this is just to let you know the plights of a popular artist is not something of,
as far as being relatable.
Zach Bryan's plights is probably not as relatable for the everyday artist.
But what is relatable is that his enjoyment for music is at a point to where he wants to control
the music genre because his passion is for that specific music genre.
So you can kind of understand where he's coming from as his passion lies within a certain
music genre, but now he's being attributed to pop simply because of the success, the immense
success that he's garnered over time with, of course, his self-titled album, Zach Bryan, and then
the album American Heartbreak. So with his current track, Peaks, guys, I'm pretty sure it's not
going to stop being playlisted on pop radio stations. But the biggest thing you need to know is that
for the foreseeable future, this man will have to be able to.
be the mascot the flag well basically the head of the movement with warner because if he's moving all
of these units with albums they came back all the way in 2022 and 2023 respectively he's going to
keep having to battle these certain situations that he's put in when he's talking about playlisting
for me personally talking about zach brian is in the sense of just getting the
information out to the masses about who's impacting the culture. So I'm not the biggest listener
of Zach Brown's music discography, but what I can recognize is the immense success when it
comes to analytics. And objectively speaking, this man has the seventh and 11th most popular
albums in the world. So two albums and well, almost the top 10. And then you have the track,
I remember everything that literally peaked at number one and has been on the charts for 39 weeks
and it's still in the top 20.
So this is the type of enormous impact, ginormous.
Is that a word?
Hold up.
I think that is a word.
Give me a second.
I don't know why I just thought that wasn't a word.
You know, sometimes you say something and then you forget that's actually a word.
Oh, okay.
So basically that is a word.
word and I don't know why I thought it wasn't but his impact is felt through the masses and
well impacting so many different people with his respective genre and I would I mean whether you
want to quantify it as country or pop at the end of day when you get into music it's creatively
driven and can be interpreted in so many different ways and that's the basis of his
fans coming out to criticize his response saying he's like ungrateful for his uh immense success but
as a fan of drake like i keep saying i can understand what he's coming from as wanting to be
respected in a respective uh music genre that he's making this creation for so at the end of day that's all
i really wanted to get across is just you knowing that zach brian is out here fighting the
interesting fight on not having his music playlisted as just pop.
So that's the biggest thing you need to know.
And also, Pink Skies is out now in all DSPs and it's under his label, of course,
Belting Bronco Records under exclusive license to Warner Records.
So at the end of the day, when you get into Zach Bryan, just realize that if you're talking
to a fan of Zach Bryan, just bring up that his music is pop and watch the
go crazy. So with that being
say, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias. Are you
looking forward to his upcoming
17 track album, The Great American
Bar Scene? And also
regarding this specific track,
well, the latest track from Zach Bryan,
Pink Skies, do you think is fire
or trash? And also, do you think this man's music
is specifically country?
Or is that the point where, statistically
speaking, you will
call this man
and label him a pop musician.
