Beginning in August, Snapchat says they will pay creator fund grants up to $100,000 per month to independent artists distributing music on Snapchat via DistroKKKKKKK. Producer Tommy Parker signed a global publishing deal in partnership with 10K projects, champagne therapy, and Kutatah music. Miles Gersh has been promoted to Vice President of ANR for Warner Records. Harborview Equity Partners has acquired the publishing catalogs of Lady A and Brad Paisley. Sony Music has promoted Jacob Fowler to Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer. The New York-based creative Intel, which describes itself as an artificial intelligence-powered deal-making platform for the music industry, has raised $3 million in its latest seed funding round.

Audius, which is the Web 3 music streaming platform, became the latest victim of a cryptocurrency hack revealing that an attacker eluded 18.6 million in tokens. Facebook will now directly share a portion of ad revenue with music rights holders for UGC videos. Cobalt Music Publishing, home to 700,000 songs, is polling its whole catalog from Facebook and Instagram in the United States. The Metaverse startup Melon has announced the $5 million seed round, which comes from backers, including Crush Ventures, Gangles, Comcast Spectreact,

and more. Harry Styles has the biggest selling album and single of 2022 so far. Lil Durk has signed with United Talent Agency. Lexi Jade has signed two best friends for management.
