Welcome to and the update is I am your host, Paige MacDonald, and this is your weekly music industry update.
Bill Ackman has dropped the $4 billion SPAC deal with Universal Music and is moving his buyout to a separate holdings company.
Live Nation has announced that they will now be offering a new $20 all-in ticket pricing for outdoor amphitheater shows in the U.S.
The $20 tickets will be available for nearly 1,000 shows under the Return to Live banner across
more than 40 live nation amphitheaters in the States.
Warner Music Group will be acquiring the assets of Doug Morris's 12-tone music,
the independent label founded in 2018.
Warner Music Group's ADA Asia and Warner Music Vietnam have inked a new partnership deal
with Vietnam's entertainment company, Yin Yang Media.

soloist to ever reach 100 Billboard Hot 100 hits. Our previous and the writer is guest, Dan Nygro,
has broken the record for most weeks spent at number one on Hot 100 producers chart.
He is now reaching his 18th week at number one.

This new venture is being created in partnership with modern luxury media and aims to amplify

And I did.
I got the record deal and I sent her an album.
And I ran into her in the street in 1986, the year after.
And she told me how proud she was and she'd gotten the album and they put it up on the wall and all this stuff.
So it was very nice moment for me.
