Bill Ackman has dropped the $4 billion SPAC deal with Universal Music and is moving his buyout to a separate holdings company. Live Nation has announced that they will now be offering a new $20 all-in ticket pricing for outdoor amphitheater shows in the U.S. The $20 tickets will be available for nearly 1,000 shows under the Return to Live banner across more than 40 live nation amphitheaters in the States. Warner Music Group will be acquiring the assets of Doug Morris's 12-tone music, the independent label founded in 2018. Warner Music Group's ADA Asia and Warner Music Vietnam have inked a new partnership deal

Last month, Sony Music Publishing launched their Artist Forward Initiative, which disregards unrecooped balances for artists. The LA-based live stream startup company Live Control has raised $30 million in Series A round. The Core Entertainment and Universal Music Canada have entered into a joint venture. The Core is an entertainment and artist management company formed in partnership with Live Nation

They signed Hypnosis as their latest client and unveiled a new custom filters feature, which claims that it will provide a significantly more effective catalog search facility. Warner Chapel production music has unveiled that they're doing a global rebranding. This will include a new logo and a new website. Justin Bieber has become the youngest soloist to ever reach 100 Billboard Hot 100 hits. Our previous and the writer is guest, Dan Nygro, has broken the record for most weeks spent at number one on Hot 100 producers chart.

Rob Jonas has been named the CEO of PMRC Data, which is the industry's leading source for global music and entertainment consumption data, as well as behavior and trends which power billboard and Rolling Stone charts. Sony Music has sued the fitness brand Jim Shark for infringing on 297 recordings and ads without acquiring licensing. Cobalt has hired Stefan Berlowe as managing director, France.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Verlo previously held the position of CEO of BMG Rights Management France. Warner Chapel Music has signed an exclusive worldwide administration deal with Travis Barker. Tom Deacon has joined Audio Salad, which is a U.S.-born content management, analytics, delivery, and distribution platform for record labels, distributors, and rights holders. J Rock Nation is launching a new brand and multimedia platform called Edition by Modern Luxury. This new venture is being created in partnership with modern luxury media and aims to amplify and elevate voices that are shaping popular culture. She was like, well, you're not going to be a big star. And then she said, are you? And then she said, at least not right away. So I said, well, if I got a record deal, I'll be sure to send you one. And I did. I got the record deal and I sent her an album.
Starting point is 00:04:35 And I ran into her in the street in 1986, the year after. And she told me how proud she was and she'd gotten the album and they put it up on the wall and all this stuff. So it was very nice moment for me.
