The music licensing tech startup company Songclip has entered into a partnership with the National Music Publishers Association, along the announcement of their new partnership with Universal Music Group. Raina Bass and Celine Boop have been promoted to co-presidents of the Warner Music Group owned 300 entertainment. Spotify has closed the acquisition of Digital. audio book distribution company Findaway. Primary Wave has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Academy Award-winning songwriter Tom Whitlock. Connect Music Group, which is a distribution and publishing administration services startup, has launched a $10 million fund for independent artists.

Julia Bentley has joined Warner Records as SVP of Creative Sync licensing. Tracy Chan has joined SoundCloud as Senior Vice President of Creator. Vanessa Pickin has joined Sony Music Entertainment as chair and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand. Sony Music Publishing Latin has entered into a global partnership with Tommy Motola, an entertainment media company Neon 16, to launch a new publishing company called 22 Publishing. Downtown Music Services has announced what it calls a major expansion of its operations in Latin America, with several key hires and promotions in the region. 360 has acquired a stake in the UK music management company, Palm Artists.

Larry Gaga has been named Vice President of ANR at Def Jam Africa. Daniel Caesar has signed with Wasserman and Brent Smith for Bookings Worldwide. Festival Republic will fund a new research project within Music Declares Emergency, which will aim to drive grid connections to UK Festival and begin. the transition of the UK outdoor live sector to grid power.
