On today's Danny Nari on 3, LSU backs down, but the SEC keeps going.
LSU is not going to roster anybody who is an NFL camp because they have completed their
105-man roster with people who did not ever participate in an NFL camp.
Still, the SEC pushing forward with its request for a temporary restraining order in its
lawsuit against LSU.
Does that mean the SEC still plans to vote on kicking out LSU?
We'll see.
Plus the Mac protesting the end of the Western Michigan-Michigan game.
What can be done?
We'll tell you.
And our friend Eddie Radosovic from Sooner Scoop joins us as he heads to Ann Arbor to cover Oklahoma and Michigan.
Will the Sooners bring justice for Western Michigan?
We'll discuss on today's Andy Narion 3 presented by Polymarket.

Welcome to Andy and Ari on 3 presented by Polymarket.
And Ari, the sexiest part of LSU versus the SEC is now over.
All of the things that could happen that were very drastic, the things LSU could have done, the things the SEC could have done.
It seems like everyone is standing down.
as we record this at 205 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, the SEC hearing, well, the hearing in
federal court in Birmingham, Alabama in a case between the SEC and LSU, has been continued.
They will schedule it for a later date, and maybe they won't schedule it for a later date.
But that comes on the heels of LSU on Tuesday night, finishing off its 105-man roster.
did not include DeKon Rider Zavian Harris,
which means all the roster spots are taken for the year.
Neither of those two guys who participated in NFL camps
will be able to join the roster.
So the thing the SEC was worried about them doing,
they're not going to do.
The SEC was suing in federal court in Birmingham.
They were going to have a hearing trying to get a temporary restraining order
that would allow the SEC to enforce its rules.
The SEC had a vote scheduled according to court documents for Thursday
about whether to expel LSU from the league.
I'll be curious to see if that vote takes place.
If it does, it'll probably be, no, of course we're not.
We told you yesterday they weren't kicking them out.
But this is the complete de-escalation here.
Yeah, yeah.
And maybe this is a response to LSU completing their roster
and just completely moving past the idea that something could happen
in a courtroom that would allow these guys to come back and play.
but I do think that you nailed it from the beginning here.
A lot of grandstanding, a lot of game of chicken.
And, you know, the fact of the matter is is that, you know,
maybe one day we'll get to a place where a player or a circumstance will be worth
following through with some of the things that people are doing.
But in this specific instance, there's no way that LSU could have looked at the, you know,
benefit of what they were trying to do and the potential cost of what they were trying to do
and think it was worth going through with it.
So I'm happy that this is resolved and we can at least go one more year without NFL players
or former NFL players playing college football.
Well, I think probably this eliminates the possibility because you're not going to have
the incident of like changing a major eligibility rule in June next year, presumably.
And that's the window that I know, I know, I said I got to stop this.
But that's the window that was opened when these guys tried to come back.
back. And they had, because they did have a legitimate argument about should they have gotten
a fifth year, the guys from the class of 22 who only got to play four years. But the schools
made it very clear. I would say the public, the consumer made it very clear that they didn't
want these guys playing in college again. So that probably does do it. And then I understand why
everybody fought so hard. Because again, even though this was a unique circumstance, if you'd
let them play, somebody was going to try it next year too. So I mean, somebody's going to try it again.
The second that somebody's money spicket from what they're earning an NIL get shut off and they
realize that they'll be turned on, they're going to challenge that. I mean, yeah, Andy,
what would you do if you had a chance to make a million dollars next year? I bet you absolutely.
Yeah, I'd hire a lawyer and see what happens. And if I don't get it, oh well, I'll go get a job.
But you got to take a shot at it, right? Yeah. I mean, you know, so it's going to happen again.
But at least we're, we're not going to have to deal with the press.
being set as a result of the timing of the NCAA rule.
If somebody challenges it, when they challenge it,
it's going to be done and heard on the merits of that specific instance.
That has nothing to do with the,
with the change of an NCAA rule or the circumstance of a in,
given off season.
And they're just going to have to do that.
But I am very curious, Andy,
when we get to that point where somebody says,
hey, I was making X here.
Yeah.
I can't make it there.
Who,
what are these arbitrary rules going to stop me from trying to make X again?
You know,
I wonder how it's going to go.
Yeah.
That's going to get fought out in the courts, though I will say, like in the federal court system,
the NCAA's eligibility rules have held up fairly consistently.
So it's when they apply them unevenly that they have problems,
but the change was to keep them from applying them unevenly because they don't really have an opportunity to apply them unevenly now.
So I do think that probably will help those rules stand up to a legal challenge.
I just wanted people to know that this isn't the last time on this show we're going to talk about NFL.
No, I know.
I know.
So, yeah.
But the other thought is, this is probably the last time we're going to talk about in this instance, the LSU SEC situation, like the LSU and the SEC being at odds.
And all the SEC wanted, well, there were two things the SEC wanted.
They wanted to assert their authority to be able to enforce their own rules.
And they wanted their schools to respect their rules.
And this was my concern.
I wrote about this coming out of the SEC spring meetings in Destin
because we talked about this being a plan B
where the conferences make their own rules.
And my question was, would SEC schools respect the SEC's authority?
And yes, when I say that sentence,
I just hear Eric Cartman in my head saying,
respect my authority.
Like, do they respect Greg Sankey's authorita?
And it seemed for a second like LSU
didn't. And I'm not just picking on LSU because Alabama did this with Charles Bediaco in the
spring where Greg Zanke came out and said, hey, we don't want you playing this guy. And they're like,
too bad. We got a TRO. We're playing him. So it's not just LSU. It was a question of whether
individual schools would defy the rules knowingly. And LSU seemed prepared to do that. And the
SEC, basically all the other schools got together and said, if you do that, if you do that, we were going to
nuke on you.
Yeah.
And we are going to, we, we were going to threaten you with suspending Lane Kippen for six
games and then half your football budget as a fine.
And then they, they're like, no, we're going to up the end and we're going to threaten
you with kicking you out of the league.
Yeah.
So all, all very necessary from the SEC standpoint to figure out exactly how far they can
actually push it so that this doesn't happen again.
Because I feel like this stopped being about LSU a few days ago and started to be more
about hypothetical what ifs.
Yes.
Yes, LSU, LSU happened to be the one that put their foot in the bear trap.
But all the LSU fans going, why us, why us, why us?
Because your administrators, you're like the Louisiana governor who was pushing them.
Like they were the ones dumb enough to do it.
That's why you.
Somebody else would have been dumb enough to do it eventually and it would have been them.
But you were first being dumb enough to do it.
Yeah.
Isn't it kind of funny to think, though, like with all the stuff that LSU was
gone through and going through, in retrospect, the comments about patients that Lane Kiffin made
at the beginning of spring practice?
Like, is this strike me as a place that's being patient in any room?
No.
Not that they need to because, okay, let me ask you this, sorry.
I don't think this affected it.
I think the SEC's threat is what ultimately led LSU to this decision.
but the window is still open because they did leave those two roster spots open as a Friday night.
They only submitted a 103-man roster.
Do you think the way they kicked the crap out of Clemson had cooler heads come together and go,
you know what?
Our team's pretty damn good.
Let's just focus on football.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think they probably understood this, you know, before the season started.
Like, I think we spent so much time talking about LSU and the dysfunction of Lane Kiffins off the field antics at the end of last year and all the things that they did in the portal and all this stuff that like we never really took a step back, took a deep breath, analyzed what was on this roster and gave them the proper expectations coming into the year.
Like, I move them all the way up to number two in my top 10.
Like, I think that there.
I had them as the one seat in my project.
And rightfully so.
You and I, now you and I both had them as a playoff team, though, when we did the projections months ago.
So it's not like we might find out.
We've all ignored the roster being good.
Yeah.
It's not that we ignored the roster being good.
I think we might have downplayed.
Like, what if we find out this is the best team in the country this year?
Like, I think we were like kind of cautious of like, this is the first off season that Lane Kemp's doing it.
You know, he said the patience thing.
Obviously, the circumstances in which he left old this were pretty, I think that you people
were gun-shy to be like, I think they're going to win the championship.
Like, and I think that we might find out that this team's actually a legitimate national
champion, not just a playoff team or a team that's going to go 10 and 2 and get in the
playoff and win a game.
Like, we might find out that this team is just awesome and the best.
Like, and I don't know if that's going to happen, but nothing that could have been
added, in my opinion, from the players that they were trying to add the roster that
automatically changes the trajectory of the team, which is what we saw on Saturday.
So, you know, I know that this week has been all about like dabbo Sweeney, getting
into it with a reporter yesterday
and how bad Clemson stinks and all these
things. But what do we just find out that LSU is like
the number two or three or number one team
in the country in LSU? Right.
I mean, Colmson just ran into a buzzsaw.
So like that's on the tape. I mean, like, why wouldn't they?
Honestly, like, what's their
personnel weakness on the team that you'd be like,
this is going to cost them a game? Their offensive line is good.
You wondered about their running back room,
but their offensive line is good.
And like Dylan Jones,
who was not that
not that great at Wisconsin
looked awesome in this offense.
It looked like his running style fit perfectly.
Now it helped that the offensive line
was just mauling Clemson up front.
But, man, I just,
I feel like they are,
they're constructed really well.
Are they a perfect roster? No, but there are no perfect
rosters in college football anymore.
And I want to make this point,
Alabama or Georgia, Ohio State might have had a perfect roster.
nobody has a perfect roster now.
I kind of want to make this point too,
because I'm actually kind of an awe of it.
But, you know,
with all the stuff that's going on with Lane all the time,
you would think that, like,
Lane would be impacted by it,
like emotionally or, like,
whenever there's drama in my life,
like,
I'm anxious about it or whatever.
Yeah,
but you care what other people think.
I think you care what happens.
You don't think he cares what people think.
Of course he does.
How many campaigns on a new man are we going to go through before?
No, no, no.
But those are for a purpose.
That's not because he cares what anybody think.
What's the purpose of that if it's not what people think?
Well, it got him the LSU job.
Yeah, but like, did they actually, you think that they, people who got him from LSU
thought he was a changed man when he did the thing that he said he was supposed to change from?
Like, it's like a completely contradictory idea.
It was a, it was a concerted effort to make sure when a big job came open, a huge job, a mega job that he was concerned.
He could revert back to being the thing that he said he changed from.
Got it.
Okay.
I'm telling you right now, he doesn't give a crap.
And he's got more time on his hands because he's not doing social media
other than to throw up the occasional DoorDash ad.
So I think.
But here's what I'm in awe of, Andy.
You saw the clip.
It was all online.
He's shooting jump shots in the middle of the game.
I know.
I know.
You're like going through all this stuff with the SEC and the court battles and the NFL
and the drama and the Ole Miss Factor.
He's shooting jump shots at the third quarter of a blowout.
Because if that's,
point, you know you're going to, like, you're not going to win the thing in the SEC,
but you're going to win in the long run anyway because you have the team on the field
that's going to be able to get it done.
Right.
You've already figured that out at that point in the game.
Let's go to what happened before the jump shots.
Okay.
Because Lane Kiffin's halftime speech leaked.
I'm using air coach here.
Leaked.
I don't know.
if it was authorized or not authorized, but we got it on the internet.
We got his half-time speech on the internet.
And it was very interesting because you know how I feel about Kirby's half-time speeches.
Yeah.
That have quote-unquote leaked.
And so I want to do a little comparison contrast.
You know, the fashion magazines always do who wore it better.
We're going to do who spoke it better.
Lane or Kirby.
Producer River, give us Lane's half-time speech.
All right, guys.
in air life seven, eight months ago, whatever it was.
All right.
And we ask you to work really hard.
Okay?
And we ask you to come back to work again and again and again.
Okay?
Do you feel good about what happened?
I don't know.
Who gets them to be it happened?
That's what's supposed to happen.
There's no celebrations for that.
They're fucking soft.
They go again.
They're going to come out.
It doesn't matter what plays they run.
Doesn't matter what they do on offense, defense.
Put the next quarterback in.
I don't give them.
You send him a message.
We're lacking up late.
No matter if you're in a game for one snap or 50 more snap.
You hate you.
So you get a chance to show the whole world.
Go fucking herself.
Crypton just had to see him right now.
3.1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.
Same.
Sounds like Owen Wilson when he yells.
I was going to say, because Lane Kiffin is so mild mannered.
Like, and he's like got the yoga thing going and stuff that, like, he doesn't strike me as,
as like a guys guy, manly man type football dude
the way that Kirby does.
And I guess we can play the Kirby one for people
who haven't heard it.
I'm sure if you've listened to the show
for a while you've heard it 17 times.
But let's play it again
and then we'll do the breakdown
because I have some thoughts about who won this one.
Well, before we play Kirby,
all right, let's just think back to meet the parents.
I have the Viking range of the twin subsies.
They open right up here.
He's Owen Wilson when he yells.
Yeah.
It's amazing.
All right.
Producer River, play Kirby.
You, Captain, Captain, Captain.
Trust your preference.
Go, man.
Your, it's prepared for this.
For, 365 days, I think about that locker room.
Think about getting our opportunity.
All you went through this week to get ready for this game.
Now is when you pay the fucking price.
You go out there with energy, enthusiasm.
Hey, got, ain't nobody this room should be cautious.
Ain't nobody this room should be nervous about.
Go out here.
Don't think about scoreboard.
Don't think about shit.
You think about.
If you hear what Box said on Monday,
and I sat in the fucking.
I wanted to get a right then.
Do what you're out of here.
Two years of pride and joy.
Tell me you guys up,
you're going to play the right way.
You play the right way.
You knock the, you stand up the fucking.
You're tackle the ball.
It's easy.
Look at the right.
Putter your offense and kick those special things, guys.
It's about who we are.
I believe in you.
Let's go.
The, uh,
The bleeps are good.
I love it.
I love that the Kirby one just ends on one prolonged bleep.
It's only bleep.
I don't even know what he was saying.
All I heard was,
so here's the thing that I,
I don't know who do you think is better,
because I think I know who you're going to pick.
You think Kirby's is better, right?
Kirby's a natural.
Now, that was a pregame speech.
There's a,
a half-time speech from Florida
that is more of an apples to apples comparison,
but it works the same way.
It definitely works the same way.
They're actually using some of the same.
phrases. And look, Lane and Kirby work together. So, yeah, I imagine Lane and Kirby have both
borrowed some things for Nick Saban. They obviously work in their own style. Like, they're both
different from Nick in personality. So I think Kirby's sounds more natural, but Lane tapped
into the zeitgeist of the LSU team. The everybody hates you. The whole world hates you.
go out there and show them,
like go show Clemson, who's on their schedule.
Can you bleep me, River?
Do you have that ability or do you have to do it at the end?
Can I just say it?
The they suck thing is hilarious.
That is like, because like if you,
if you want to do the whole idea of like,
was that actually leaked on purpose or whatever?
Who cares how it got out?
Yeah.
People in the locker room were hearing it,
they weren't thinking about,
well, this is going to go on Twitter.
And like, the other thing, too,
that is kind of funny to me is lame.
They don't hate them.
They hate you, pal.
Like, you're the reason why people, like, don't like LSU.
I don't think there's people out there, like, grinding their teasing.
I hate Sam.
But his job is to make sure that they feel sufficiently motivated to go out and play the second half,
which that's the thing.
Like, he wanted them to come out and beat Clemson as badly in the second half as they've beaten
them in the first half, which is a challenge for a coach.
Like, when you have a team that's so thoroughly.
beat somebody down in the first half, that 20-minute stoppage, that break, actually becomes an
impediment. Like, you don't want them to take their foot off the gas. So I think that speech worked
perfectly to make them keep their feet on the gas. And this is like two feet on the gas in that game.
Like, they, I think they finally backed it off there in the fourth quarter. But they were absolutely
hammering them over and over and over again. And they wanted to prove.
a point and they did. So like I, you think I'm going to say Kirby's was was so much better than
Lanes. No, no, no, no. Lanes served its purpose perfectly. So I probably more like masculine,
you know, like, like, like, like, there's something you could see in a movie. And I, I actually
like. Kirby sounds. Yeah, Kirby sounds like a guy who was an all SEC safety. Yeah. That's,
it's what he sounds like. Like if, if somebody was writing a football movie, they would use Kirby's as like
the inspiration. But I actually like
Lane's better because I like what he said
better. And I appreciate
the look behind the curtain here,
whether it was intentionally leaked or not,
because I did always wonder that about Lane.
You know, we've interviewed Lane before.
I've interviewed Lane a bunch of times.
And he is,
he comes off as more
cerebral. And, okay,
one, in person, he's not the person
you see on Twitter.
So you think he might be
snarky, wisecracking, constantly
like stream of jokes, that's actually more like Kirby in real life.
Wayne is more introverted and, you know,
seems like he'd be more comfortable just in the film room.
So it's probably not easy for him that part of the job,
the getting up in front of the team, the motivating the team.
And I'm glad we got to hear what that sounds like because I'm sure he's made plenty of
speeches like this in the past.
Sure.
And obviously he's been successful as a head coach before.
but now we kind of understand a little more why.
I also don't care if it was intentionally leaked or not.
You know what else was intentionally leaked?
The Dan Lanning speech that he gave before the Colorado game a few years ago.
Like that one was pretty badass.
I don't care if they did it on purpose or not.
Like, you know.
Oh, I didn't say it was a, I didn't say I cared.
Yeah, but there's a lot of chatter online of like, oh, this is just drummed up for attention.
It's like, yes, whatever.
It's college football.
Everything is about recruiting.
So if you, like, if you.
Like if you're a player and you hear that,
you hear your coach when you're kicking somebody's butt
go, they suck.
Get out there and kick their ass some more.
Like, you're going to want to play for that guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, you know, I'm happy to break down the halftime speech.
At least it's not breaking down the transcript of the courtroom.
So, yes, I'm so glad we're, we may be done.
No, I'm not going to say it.
Just don't even say it.
Yeah.
I don't want to talk about it anymore.
But, yeah, it seems like that situation has seriously de-escalated.
It seems like what is escalating is LSU's chances to have a really special season.
This is a very good team art.
This is what they paid for.
Yeah, they're playing Louisiana Tech this weekend.
Ole Miss next week, it'll be wall-to-wall.
Lane Kiffin, it'll be wall-to-wall, Pete Golding.
we will be talking a ton about that game
because that's what all of you guys are going to want to know about.
It's what everybody who follows college football is going to want to know about.
It is going to be spectacular.
So I'm interested to see LSU again this weekend, though,
with LATAC a game that they should win easily.
Like, do they keep the same energy?
Would be a cool power move to release the halftime speech from the Latec game, by the way.
There would be too, especially he's like,
All right, guys, just take it easy.
Enjoy the orange slices.
Yeah, because the dabbo aspect of it is hilarious too.
Okay, go ahead.
There is a big game at an SEC stadium this week, though.
The biggest at an SEC stadium, Ohio State is headed to Texas.
Now, last week, we had our dynamic duo,
and that dynamic duo was Arch Manning and Cam Coleman.
And I think Arch Manning and Cam Coleman had a nice debut together, two touchdowns for Cam Coleman.
But the question is, because this is our dynamic duo of the week presented by Jack and Coke, the ultimate dynamic duo.
Look at that.
Look at that perfect can.
You don't have to mix.
It's right there in your cooler.
You crack it open.
And it is the Jack and Coke that you have always loved.
But there's no stirring involved.
And it's just beautiful.
The other thing that's beautiful is when Julian Sayan throws to Jeremiah Smith.
First of all, Julian Sayan throws a pretty catchable ball.
But even when it's not catchable, Jeremiah Smith makes the catch.
Yeah.
We got a photo from the ball state game where he's pinning the ball against his helmet.
His body control is spectacular.
It is so much fun watching him play.
The NFL guys, they're competing.
It's Julio Jones.
I think that's a good physical comparison for him.
But this guy is, since he got on campus,
has been the best receiver in the country.
He's still probably the best receiver in the country.
We're going to find out this week
where he stacks up against Cam Coleman,
who was the number two receiver in the same class as Jeremiah Smith.
No, I don't we didn't plan this,
but our dynamic duo from last week,
presented by Jack and Coke,
is playing the dynamic duo of this week.
So I don't know whose dynamic duo is more dynamic.
But you have a lot of talent on the field in Austin.
I'm excited to get down there.
And I do think that it'll be interesting because this is a dynamic duo that has been intact already for more than a season.
But Jeremiah Smith also hasn't been highly productive in his two games against Texas during his career.
So I'm very curious to see if they're going to bracket him and try to kind of kind of, you know,
execute the same type of game plan.
And Ohio State doesn't have Cornell Tate.
So it's very interesting, too, like which other players on this team is it going to
be a true freshman?
Is it going to be Brandon Innes?
Which players, if Texas spends all of their defensive firepower trying to slow down
Ohio State's dynamic duo can try to, you know, make some plays in a way that
Carnell Tate had to in their win last year.
So like, or two years ago, I should say, no.
Yeah, two years ago.
But, yeah, two years ago, the biggest catch was Trayvion Henderson.
Yeah, that was.
But the Julian Sayan part of this dynamic do, I think is really interesting because his first start came against Texas last year.
And obviously, all of our attention was on Arch Manning and how he struggled in that game.
But Julian Sayan was not asked to do a whole lot in that game.
He didn't look all that spectacular.
You didn't come away from that game saying this guy's going to be a Heisman finalist this year.
And that's what he ended up being.
As the season went on, you realize, oh, my goodness, this guy is really accurate.
Yeah.
And he, you know, he has all the best tools to use in his receiving core.
But he also gets them the ball much better than most people would.
So.
Yeah, he's extremely accurate.
I think what people want to see from him this year, Andy.
And, you know, I don't know if you saw this because they were playing ball state and they
won by 100 last week, but he did scramble for a touchdown.
And the entire stadium roared because they just like,
saw like him do something that they're not accustomed to seeing.
So I do think that, you know, one year later,
this is a huge game for him because he comes into this game now
maybe a more proven and more believable asset than Archmanning,
even though Arch Manning is the one with all the hype and going on the road
and, you know, having one less first round draft pick on the team,
you know, makes this a little bit more interesting.
So I'm very excited to see how they perform.
I am too.
The dynamic duos facing,
off, our first two dynamic doos of the year, facing off on Saturday in Austin.
If you're in Austin, tailgating before this game, pick up some Jack and Coke right here.
Look at this.
It's all about the ratio, Andy.
It's already perfect.
You don't got to work.
Exactly.
And, you know, you remember when you had your buddy's house back in the day and you just never knew how we were going to mix it up.
It's already mixed perfectly.
Make life easy.
Pick up Jack and Coke.
The classic combination already done.
right so you can spend less time mixing and more time enjoying football.
Choose Jack and Coke for this game day right here.
Ari, let's clean up one other story.
And that would be the Mac.
Change of heart on Tuesday.
Remember on Saturday, John Steinbecker, the commissioner said,
hey, we're fine with the Big Ten's explanation.
Well, not fine after further deliberation.
The MAC protests to the NCAA, to the FBS Oversight Committee,
and also protested to the college football playoff and said,
hey, the Big Ten did not go by the prescribed rules for replay.
They did not use the clock they were supposed to use when you do a replay.
And we've had now a written interpretation from the NCAA's secretary rules editor,
which came out yesterday.
The Big Ten came out with a statement saying that they stand by their procedure.
So what happens next?
What happens next is nothing.
The NCAA says they have no mechanism for turning over the result of a game.
The CFP can't do anything.
So it's not going to change the result.
It's still going to go down as a loss for Western Michigan.
It's still going to go down as a win for Michigan.
But my question to you is this, sorry,
because I don't think that was the actual purpose of this.
Do you think by making this another new cycle long
that they added one more kernel of thought
in the heads of the playoff selection committee members
that if Western Michigan ends up winning the Mac again,
if they beat Boise State in a couple weeks,
that the playoff selection committee members will say,
you know what, we view the Michigan game as a win for them.
I don't because I think they're already there, honestly.
Like, I think that it's cool to talk about and the longer you can extend it, the better.
But, you know, if Western Michigan beats Boise and wins the Mac,
even if the Michigan game didn't exist are probably the playoff team, right?
Like, there's a very good chance.
I mean, you have a pretty good chance of doing it already.
So I know that some people, I mean, a lot of this, too, Andy,
is going to depend on what Michigan ends up doing.
Like, it's not, like, we're still viewing Michigan as a fringe playoff team.
If Michigan goes out and, you know, loses seven games this year or six games this year and is a complete dumpster fire, then you might, you know, view it differently.
But obviously a Mac team playing on the road in the big house is an important, you know, aspect of the way that they should be judged.
And I do think that, you know, even just one second of critical thought, which by the way, the college football playoff committee does quite a bit.
Like I know people like to bag on them.
There's a lot of thought that goes into this.
I think that they will already have been given credit
because remember the discourse about G6 teams
trying to make the playoff in previous years.
Well, if they can go there and keep it close,
that'll show them something.
Western Michigan couldn't have kept it closer.
So like, you know,
and we talk about that with Boise State going to Oregon
and doing what they did.
Like they lost that game.
There was no controversy over it.
That will probably reflect positively on them
because we think Oregon's going to keep playing well
and we think they'll be really good.
And we think Boise...
Now, it's really interesting
with the group of six this year
because a lot of their better teams
are playing each other.
So we had Memphis go to UNLV
and win that game.
Memphis plays at Boise State this week.
So, you know, you said
if Western Michigan beats Boise State
and wins the Mac,
that they're probably the team.
But what if Memphis beat Boise State
and wins the American?
It's really hard to make blanket statements
about who will be the team.
the front runner who will make the playoff from the G6 in week two.
Like, it's just, it's just a hard thing to do.
My pick of Navy is still, still out there.
You know what I'll say, though?
Here's what I'll say.
The Michigan result, whether it be a win or a loss,
will not be the determining factor of whether Western Michigan gets in or not.
Is that a fair thing to say?
Yes.
I think that's very fair.
There are things they must do.
Obviously, the most important thing is win the Mac.
which they won last year,
but that's a conference that is nobody dominates in the Mac.
There's not a team that is dominant every year.
It's hard to win the Mac.
Nobody in the playoff committee room is going to be like,
well, they lost to Michigan.
They can't go.
Like, that's insane.
There's no way that'll happen.
Yeah.
So I think they'll be fine as long as they keep winning.
And really that Boise State game is going to be fascinating.
But the Memphis Boise State game this week is going to be,
just as important in that. The last
point I want to make about this, too, is that
there's a lot of the justice for, you know,
Western Michigan. The best thing that can happen for Western Michigan
is if Michigan is good.
Like this idea of like goat beat Michigan
on the road this week, Oklahoma, and show
them that they deserve to lose.
Oh, if you're Western Michigan, no, you want,
you want Michigan to beat Oklahoma.
You want justice for Western Michigan, let Michigan win.
Like that's, you know, like, so, you know,
we'll see how it plays out. But like,
Western Michigan is hoping that if Michigan wins the Big Ten,
Western Michigan looks like King shit at the end of the year.
Well, what if you got a rematch in the playoff?
That'd be electric.
How amazing would that be?
Oh, my God.
Everybody can wear the flame of flame clock necklaces.
That'd be sick.
Yes.
Oh, my God.
It would be incredible.
It would be incredible.
Speaking of justice for Western Michigan,
we will talk about the, well, we had an Oklahoma fan who called in
saying that needs to be the theme for the Sooners this week.
But before we talk to our friend Eddie Rodasovich from Sooner's Group about Oklahoma heading to Ann Arbor,
we got to tell you about Roebuck, hoodies, polos, QZips, and more.
Look at that.
That's the Longhorn one that I've got to wear if Texas wins this week.
I picked Ohio State.
Ari picked Texas.
If Texas wins, I'm wearing that with the pick show next week.
Also, I know the folks in game.
Oh, there's Ari's Ohio State.
I have to wear this if Ohio State wins.
That won't get clipped at all.
No, I know.
You did this on purpose.
I know.
It's okay.
But you know what?
Clip it now, guys.
I'm a bucky.
You know, I don't know.
Look at that.
Look at that Q-Zip.
This is my alma mater.
This is the University of Florida.
And they're excited in Gainesville.
This scored 66 points last week.
This Q-Zip looks awesome.
It's the helmet stripe,
Q-Zip.
And they've got these for a bunch of different teams.
The Ohio State, one of those,
is exceptionally cool.
But lots going on at rowback.com.
R-H-O-B-A-C-K.
If you use the code Andy R-E-20,
that's A-N-D-Y, A-R-I-20,
you get 20% off your first order.
By the way, it's not just the game-day gear,
although the game-day gear is awesome.
Like, I am wearing a rowback polo right now.
I wear a rowback probably 50% of the days of the week,
maybe more,
because I'll throw on a Hesi hoodie pretty much any time.
And it's spectacular.
We love Roeback here.
Go to Roeback.com.
R-H-O-B-A-C-K-com.
Use the code Andy Ari-20.
That's A-N-D-Y-A-R-I-2-0 for 20% off your first order.
Ari, I was perusing the site or the app of another one of our fine sponsors game time.
And I noticed something interesting.
It's $75 bucks to get in to the big house for Oklahoma, Michigan, as of right now.
as we record this on Wednesday afternoon,
$75 is the get-in price at the Big House.
You can download the GameTime app,
use the code Staples and get $20 off your first purchase,
terms apply, of course.
I wasn't doing this as an ad,
but I figured I'd give you the discount code
in case you want a $55 ticket to Michigan, Oklahoma.
But is this going to look like the Georgia Notre Dame game
a few years ago in South Bend where half the stadium was red?
Well, I think part of the thing,
too is that because Oklahoma has never played in Ann Arbor, there's probably a large sect of people
who are rooting for Oklahoma and are Oklahoma fans who just want to go see it.
Because that's part of being college football fan is seeing the cathedrals that make the sport
great.
And as you pointed out, too, Detroit is a very easy city to fly into.
Easy city to fly.
I love the Detroit airport, by the way, big fan.
But also, and the other part that makes college football travel hard, and the people who
who've gone to Big Ten and SEC schools understand.
this because going to away games,
you're either paying a fortune for a hotel in the town
or you're driving a couple hours.
Michigan is the unique circumstance
where you can fly into a huge major city.
There are tons of hotels in said huge major city
at fairly reasonable rates.
And it is maybe, like,
if you want to fly into the airport in Detroit,
which is basically in Romulus,
you can get a decent hotel room in Romulus for less than 200 bucks.
And you are 25 minutes for man, aren't we?
We cover the Michigan-Ohio State game.
We just drive 40 minutes and we're at the hotel and we're back in Detroit.
So, you know, very underrated city.
I'm assuming, apparently, as Eddie will point out when we have them on here,
big Oklahoma meetup at the Tigers game apparently on Friday night,
big major league baseball meetup, but it'll be a really cool time.
And, of course, you know, Eddie was super entertaining.
So I'm super excited to see you.
Yeah, so Eddie is from Soonersoup.com.
It is the best source of Oklahoma information on the internet.
If you're an Oklahoma fan, you're not already a member of Sooner Scoop, you need to get on that.
On3.com slash join and choose Sooner Scoop as your site because Oklahoma is your team.
And it's a great community.
They're a very vibrant community of Oklahoma fans.
Their message boards are popping off all the time.
You will find your people at Sooner Scoop if you're in Oklahoma fan.
But let's talk to Eddie because, well,
Eddie's having his own issues.
We'll get into that.
But I wanted to bring up the idea of justice for Western Michigan,
because Eddie will take a theme and run with it.
And I'm not going to be surprised if we've got Oklahoma fans
because Eddie talked them into it yelling justice for Western Michigan
when they play on Saturday.
Here's Eddie.
We are joined now by Eddie Radasovic of Soonerscoop.
a bon vivant a man about town a man of action and eddie we need your help because i saw your work
with the horns up for peace movement i've seen you fielding kicks at oklahoma games i know you i know
you have hands i know you're quick i know you get along with with people of all walks of life
from everywhere uh we've had some oklahoma fans reach out to us about something they'd like to do
this weekend because they watched the western michigan michigan game and they feel
like Western Michigan was wronged.
They feel like they have an opportunity to help
set something right.
So, producer River, can you play the voicemail?
Andy, Ari, what I watched tonight disgusted me.
Western Michigan was robbed.
And Oklahoma, our fans,
we're going to bring them justice.
Justice for Western Michigan!
Well, listen, I think it's justice for a lot of people.
It feels like Oklahoma right now is the
America's sweetheart going up to Ann Arbor this weekend. I'm looking for justice for
Western Michigan. Maybe if we need to stop by Kalamazoo, we could bring some good fortune to
the city and then obviously headed over to Ann Arbor where I think there's going to be a ton of
Oklahoma fans. So I think that this has some legs. We might need to get into the lab a little bit
and see what we can produce. But certainly going to do a show from Ann Arbor on Friday if we're
allowed to. I'm currently not even credentialed to shoot the game for the first time in 15 years,
which I think is bizarre.
We're the only internet company that hasn't been credentials with a videographer badge.
So, yeah, justice for me, justice for Western Michigan, and maybe justice for America as we move into a week, too.
It's been an interesting first week of the college football season.
Are they worried you're going to run out there and feel the kickoff and try to return it?
Have they seen you in action?
Is that the problem?
It's the most bizarre thing.
And by the way, I need to talk to Tate Sandel.
I've been kicked away from the entire game against U-TEP.
I can understand why they would want to do so because my dream is to take one back.
It's just bizarre.
I don't know why we've been singled out.
We've been doing this again for like 15 years.
So had no trouble in Columbus, had no trouble in Lincoln, Nebraska when Oklahoma went up there in 2023.
That was from the OU Texas event last year as we were finding out if John Mateer was going to play with a broken thumb.
It's bizarre.
But I'm willing to do whatever.
needs to be done for the country. I've always stood firm on my love for the red, white and blue.
And I think that there's no better way to serve the fine people of the college athletics and
college football by bringing justice for Western Michigan. What a strange deal that was on Saturday
night. When you get to Kalamazoo and you get people all fired up to try to get some, you know,
payback, what do you do? You just like buy a grandfather clock at a goodwill and then like get everybody
together and just beat the crap out of it with the baseball bat, like office space or what?
Like what are the ideas for how to get Kalamazoo all fired up?
Well, first off, I need to talk to them about some money that they probably owe me from some of their Maction action on Tuesday and Wednesday nights that I think that you certainly would understand, ARIA.
I do.
I do.
I'm playing on weeknights.
They give me some favor.
But there's a couple games that they've probably let go over Underwise here in the past couple of years.
But I have strong feelings for Lance Taylor's group.
I think we're going to ride with them throughout the rest of the year.
And especially after this injustice that happened last Saturday up in Ann Arbor.
I don't know, though.
I mean, we had a seance for OU and OSU a couple years ago when they were under 500, both of them at the same time.
That certainly helped one of the programs, namely the one that I cover here in Norman.
I don't know if much can help the things in Stillwater after the lost the tolls over the weekend.
But we can definitely fix and try to think of something here as we make the trek north for the first time tomorrow.
So it's going to be an interesting trip up there.
I think that I'm welcomed.
I think I have a seat in the press box,
but then again, I don't know.
These people have been fickle to work with.
So, Eddie, how many Oklahoma fans are going to be there?
Because I'm on game time right now.
The get in price at the big house as we record this interview on Wednesday is 75 bucks.
Yeah, it feels like this is one of those trips that everybody circled,
you know, obviously to get up to the big house.
It's the first time Oklahoma's played in Ann Arbor,
which I found to be a little bit strange here when I looked in the game notes this past week.
I think there's going to be a ton.
I think this is a game that Oklahoma fans have circled for a while now.
You look at Ohio State back in 2017.
That was a game that Oklahoma fans flocked to Notre Dame back in the early 2010s.
It was a game that people flock to.
And especially for that region that Oklahoma just doesn't play in very often up in Big Ten country.
I think it's a game that a lot of people have kind of circled.
and with the expectations going into this year for Oklahoma,
there's certainly going to be a lot of Oklahoma fans,
a fan base that normally travels.
That's one of the things that, you know,
even in Philadelphia last year for the Temple game,
that place was 65, 70% OU fans.
So it's a trip that a lot of people have been excited about.
I feel like Friday night at the Tigers game,
Tigers Royals, by the way, which is just going to be a barn burner.
It should be a lot of Oklahoma fans up in Detroit
and making the trek over to Ann Arbor on.
Saturday morning. Eddie, when you look at the way that Michigan almost lost or in some people's
mind did lose, that kind of changes the perception of what's supposed to happen in Ann Arbor.
And I feel like maybe kind of shift some pressure over to Oklahoma of like you have to win a game
that people thought was more of a toss-up a week ago. Did this not work out for Oklahoma? Because
it's like you win the game and you don't get the credit you would probably deserve. And if you
lose the game, everyone's making fun of you? Like, is this like a no-win scenario for them?
A little bit.
Like I've kind of thought, I told George the other day.
It's like, I don't really like this narrative that's out there that Oklahoma should go up and win by 20.
This is a game that they were an underdog as of last week.
And because of the way that Michigan didn't play on Saturday night, all of a sudden, you know, Michigan's this trash team, which they certainly aren't.
I mean, I think Bryce Underwood's fantastic athletically.
He obviously needs to play better than they did a week ago against Oklahoma defensively.
But at the same time, I think that, you know, this is one of those games that I thought about this.
as like the balls like midpoint in the air on that hell Mary on Saturday night,
it would have been bad if Oklahoma, you never want to catch a team.
Oh, they're coming off of a lot.
They're going to be more refocused now.
I think this is like one of those, okay, you can take a deep breath if you're on the Michigan side and say,
now we got really nothing to lose going into this game.
Everybody's kind of seen us at our worst.
So, you know, that was kind of a main talking point with Peyton Bowen on Monday night.
They know what happened.
They know the narrative that's out there.
I think the one thing that you can feel good about if you're an Oklahoma fan going into the game.
Saturday is just the fact that what we've talked about over the course of, you know, the last six months and specifically the last month and a half since, you know, SEC Media Day down in Tampa is the fact that leadership wise, this team is as good as they've been. And certainly under Brent Venables, I think from a mentality standpoint, you know, it's the, you know, game to game play to play type of situation. And they're certainly not taking anything for granted in a team that be sure that Brent Venables threw it out there on Tuesday during his press conference. This is still a team that's 132 at the last 35.
have at home. You know, the only losses are to two number one teams and a number three team.
I think they were all Ohio State games, you know, which is obviously, I think, just knowing
OU, Texas and the rivalry that is anything can happen in those rivalry games. So it's going to be
interesting, but certainly a game that if you're an Oklahoma fan going into this with the
expectations and knowing what's ahead with a trip to Athens, a trip down to Dallas, obviously,
for the annual at the Cotton Bowl, it's going to be important that you walk out of there with a win.
and then you have New Mexico before the whole of the SEC play starts.
So there was a lot of good.
It's kind of still ironic to me and it's still weird when you talk about Oklahoma defensively.
It's like, man, they were sloppy on Friday night.
They still had over 10 tackles for loss.
They forced two turnovers.
They had a shut out.
It's kind of a representation of just where the expectations defensively would this thing have gone.
And, you know, I think that Oklahoma goes into this game in a pretty good mindset,
obviously coming off of a nice win over Uteb.
So I'm excited because I think that like we've all said this week, everything that we've said about the Uteb game is I know they were playing Utep, but you can kind of take that away, knowing that Michigan from a physicality standpoint is going to be a little bit closer than what you see in the SEC weekend and week out.
And certainly from a talent pool, Michigan's, I think they're going to be fine.
I can say that.
No, you wins by a couple touchdowns.
That'd be really good news for Oklahoma.
But I think they're going to get their best, you know, their best from Michigan on Saturday.
and it's going to be really important that they play clean.
So Oklahoma brings back so much from last year.
You mentioned Peyton Bowen and guys like Isaiah Satania in the receiving core
and John Mateer, obviously, and David Stone and Owen Heineke.
But what is different about this team?
Because this was a team that it was a playoff team,
but there were a couple holes in it.
Did they feel like they filled those?
It feels like they at least made progress to doing that.
I think on like the outside,
Just from a wide receiver standpoint, the big talk around here over the last eight, nine months was getting help for John Mateer and not making him have to do everything.
And, you know, his numbers, I think to a certain extent, were kind of pedestrian if you just look at the box score on Friday night against Utah.
But at the same time, from a efficiency standpoint, from a quarterback rating standpoint, it was one of the cleanest games he's played in an Oklahoma uniform, maybe even one of the cleanest games he's played as a college quarterback.
So I think that just what they were able to do from a wide receiver standpoint, bringing in somebody like Trell Harris.
who found the end zone on Saturday or on Friday.
Isaiah Cetania continues to be maybe one of the best kept secrets in a way.
I don't know if you could say he's a secret necessarily,
but I think from an Oklahoma bubble standpoint,
they feel like he is a really good wide receiver that could be talked about
on the national stage a little bit more.
You look at Elijah Thomas, a true freshman that really came on during the preseason.
And then the tight end unit with Jason Witt,
and Andy, we've talked about this a couple times on our show.
It's night and day different.
And I think that you saw what Rocky Beers was able to do
from past reception standpoint, you saw how much 12 personnel that they were playing in.
So it is different from what they're doing offensively.
And I think the offensive line should get Jake Michael back.
It feels like they're going to get Ryan Foj back.
Still a little bit iffy on Michael Pesucy and what his status is going to be going into the next couple of weeks.
You feel good about it, though, overall.
And they have options.
If you can't have somebody like a Michael Fasusi play, you can bump Ryan Fouge out to left tackle.
You're a little bit leery about that considering he didn't play in the opener.
And then on defensively, I mean, the start.
11, it could be one of the best in the country. You feel like you have some good serviceable
depth that you saw in phases throughout the night on Friday night in the opener. And it's certainly
from a depth perspective, maybe not as good as they were a year ago when you see the Grayson
Halton and the Dominic Williams guys that have gone on to the NFL. But at the same time,
they feel pretty good about some of the guys. And I think what they were able to do with some of the
TRO guys that have come in. I mean, Danny Ceeley joined the program a week ago, two weeks ago.
He got news out there in the fourth quarter. I think they feel like he's going to be able to
depth coming in from Arkansas. So, you know, the Feeley,
Braxton-Feeley kid coming in from Boise State, I don't know if he's going to be ready
quite yet to get out there this weekend, but certainly when the SEC schedule starts to ramp
up, he's going to be another guy that they feel like can add a little bit of depth.
And I didn't think that Bishop Thomas and Nigel Smith and Trent Wilson necessarily
played bad from the interior standpoint for Oklahoma on Friday night. So a lot of wait and see,
kind of with this team. But this is the first big test, even regardless of what Michigan
did or didn't do a week ago.
it feels like they're taking a step up and it's really time to kind of see,
can we start checking off these boxes and answering some of the questions?
Eddie, a few years ago when Andy and I covered the Red River game,
we were in the news conference and Brent and Pennible said something very interesting about
is Oklahoma, you know, on Texas's radar or on Texas's level, not radar.
And, you know, I don't think that he gave the greatest answer to that.
And last year, obviously, it didn't go.
well either. How much does OU pay attention to what Texas is doing from a financial standpoint,
from an investment standpoint, and of course, a success standpoint, and how much do you think
that Oklahoma has to win that game this year? This might be unpopular amongst Oklahoma
fan base. I think it's good when Texas is really good. I think it kind of heightens everybody's
approach in Norman, certainly over the last couple of years with the lack of success in the
Cotton Bowl. It makes this year really important for Brent Venables. You can't look up and all of a sudden
He's one and four against the Texas program that Oklahoma has had relatively good success over the last 20 years.
So I think that they pay attention.
You know, I think realistically, they know that they're not going to go out and they're not probably going to put together a $40 million roster.
But at the same time, there is such a belief in what Jim Nagy's doing with the front office and going out and the TRO guys is a perfect example of having a front office,
having answers maybe for the questions that they still have about this team and going out and trying to put together the best roster,
possible. So, you know, I think to an extent they do, I don't know if you would ever cop
anybody inside the OU program to say that they pay a whole lot of attention or day to day,
but I think overall it's certainly when, when Texas has had the success that they've had under
Sark and they're having their plan for, you know, national titles and they're getting
to national semifinals, it certainly keeps everybody's attention in Norman. And, you know,
I think that at the end of the day, as weird as college football is these days,
there is still like this innocence that comes with rivalries
and paying attention to what your rival does
and checking the scores and seeing,
okay, what are they doing today?
I think it's a good thing for college football
and I hope that stuff, you know,
to a certain extent, never changes.
So let's talk about Rocky Beers
because he was one of the bright spots.
Rocky Beers from suburban Denver.
He played at Air Force in FIU before that.
His brother's name is Rowdy Beers.
Yeah.
Rowdy was also a football player.
He was at FIU with Rocky,
but Rowdy apparently has retired from football become a firefighter.
I mean,
can we get the beers brothers back together in Norman?
Or is Rocky enough beers for Norman?
And on top of all of that,
Reagan Beers,
their sister was a star player for Jenny Bronchek's basketball team
the last couple years.
So Ike beers,
the father,
has become a little bit of a legend around Norman.
He goes crazy during games.
If you watch any of the women's games, he was kind of a, I don't know, a central character or a figure during some of their March Madness runs.
He just goes nuts during games.
So, you know, Rocky Beers, I think they feel like they found kind of a diamond in the rough getting him in from Colorado State.
He was only second to this deep kid coming out of Oregon for touchdown receptions a year ago.
And certainly when you saw what he was able to do with getting the ball in his hands on Friday in the season opener, very able pass catcher.
And one of those reasons why you look at that tight end unit and just projecting,
what they can do from a run standpoint, and also just a past catching standpoint from John
Mateer of being an outlet, a reason why they're able to play 12 personnel alongside Hayden Hanson,
Jack Van Dorsler, Trayney Washington, getting in the mix as well.
He's been a godsend for Oklahoma, and I think he's going to be a very important asset for
John Mateer moving forward for this offense.
He's been unbelievable, and certainly somebody that throughout the preseason was making plays
in practice, you just kind of wanted to see it come to fruition, and then he has the 48-yarder
against or 50 yarder against
UTEP and he hurdles the guy and it's like, man,
this guy's awesome. He has a great NIL shirt out right now too.
Yeah, no, I'm imagining like if he actually hits his potential,
maybe one of the highest selling beer,
I mean, uh, jerseys of all time.
Who's not buying a jersey that says beers on the back of it, right?
Unbelievable.
Eddie, where are we at with the 50 cent many men tradition?
Like, are we doing this or like, you know, is this happening?
Yeah, well, they played it again on Friday.
and it certainly didn't hit as hard as it did,
maybe for the playoff game.
And I still give people hell around Norman that, you know,
I was joking before the game.
It's like, hey, if they do this in the fourth quarter and he comes out,
like you can't be down by 10.
That would be like the worst possible case scenario.
And then they were down by 10 when he came out.
It was still electric.
It was a moment.
There's no doubt about that with the hard to kill Monica at the end of last year in November
and Oklahoma going 4 and 0 and starting to kind of that run that really,
truly like I think kind of changed the trajectory of the program going to knoxville and winning
going to tuscaloosa winning and really kind of changed the trajectory of what brent venables just tenure is
in in a sense i mean they obviously gave them the contract extension that a lot of people had
thoughts on uh over you know the last couple of weeks but uh i don't know i you know those things
are so generic and they kind of come out of nowhere that uh depending on how things go and you know
right now the the the song for michigan i know it's mr bright set up
there, but I feel it should be, like, locked up.
So I don't know.
It's going to be kind of a game-to-game situation, but hopefully they can find something
because I think that, like, those are, like, little things within college sports that are
still, like, kind of just special to me when a team grabs onto some type of moniker.
The OU baseball team had a moniker that made them kind of made their run through Omaha.
So it'll be.
And you know, you know what you have to do, right?
Get arrested.
I'm going to get arrested in Arbor this week.
You might get arrested.
but if you don't get arrested and you make it to the press box,
you shoot the game from the press box and you run the pictures with the press box stuff.
That would be hilarious because everybody would get what you're doing.
That would be so funny.
The reflection shining back into your camera, it'll be tremendous.
Like all your content that you guys run this week,
just shitty pictures of the game from the press box.
So we thought about that.
We thought about just getting a ticket and going Connor Stallion style
in the stands with just a camcorder.
Oh, oh.
Can you get on the sidelines?
in a hat and sunglasses.
Can you do that?
If I can get onto the sidelines,
that's where, like,
I think there is a realistic opportunity
for me to get arrested this weekend.
I don't know how far we want to push it.
I do know that.
If you wear Central Michigan,
central Michigan year with a hat and sunglasses.
I think that they would,
see, I feel like I'm already going to have
like a little bit of a scarlet letter
depending on anything that I wear
because from what I've been relayed
from an information standpoint,
point, I'm probably not the most popular person within the Michigan communication staff.
But again, this is only because they've credentialed.
They never met you.
Every other.
Why don't they like you?
Well, I just, I don't know.
That's a, that's a question to be asked of their SID who is credentialed with every other
internet company outside of Soonerskoup.com.
I don't know if they hate on three.
I don't know if they hate us personally.
I don't know.
No, they love the Wolverine.
They love Chris Ballast and the Wolverine.
Yeah.
Well, they're good to us.
It just depends on like,
we've seen the videos and the clips that we played at the beginning, right?
Like the courthouse clip, you know,
you catching kickoffs like laying in the bushes,
the janitor one where you're dressed like Joe Dirt's my favorite.
Like, how committed to the bit are we?
Like, are we ready to get arrested for this?
Because, like, you could buy a ticket.
Where central Michigan stuff,
go onto the field with a camcorder and like get arrested.
And that would be like,
you get tackled immediately too.
But like, can you imagine what that would do
to galvanize the Oklahoma community?
I will say this.
I'm more committed to the bit with every touchdown Oklahoma, the scores this weekend.
I would say that.
So, all right, I want you to practice here because this is what some Oklahoma fans would like.
It's not a chant because it's too many syllables.
It's more of a battle cry.
Justice for Western Michigan!
Like a little sign.
Justice for Western Michigan like that.
See, like even now I'm kind of wondering like, are there going to be security guards
when I try to go to the media check-in
come Saturday morning.
But it's been an interesting week.
Like this is truly,
this has never happened in 15 years.
Obviously,
the way that Western Michigan lost the game has never happened.
So it's just a fascinating college football story
that I truly feel like only college football could generate this type of,
like,
battle cry or playing for another team or playing for the pride of Kalamazoo.
It's fascinating.
I think that's the reason.
Like, these silly little stories when at the end of the day, this is college football in a nutshell in 2026.
We've thought about trying to get a TRO.
I don't know if I'm eligible to get one to be able to shoot, but we certainly have the sooner scoop lawyers.
Well, the best thing that happened in the college season last year was an Oklahoma thing.
And you know what that thing is, right, Andy?
The Stephen Schend.
Oh, yes.
What's the funniest thing?
Like, all the graphics that people were making.
so hilarious. It feels like Oklahoma has
like come to a place in like their sphere of college football.
They're a very good team and a very good program always have been.
But like on the internet and like in the public eye,
they've kind of like turned into this like bit program
where it's like you have the hard to kill thing,
which I actually think is badass and be permanent.
But like that all the other like meme,
like the meme school thing like is hilarious to me.
And it's just like if we could get something with you behind prison bars to go
around the internet, like something to play into it.
Like the entire Sooner Scoop community is going to inform the Oklahoma
fan base of what has occurred to the most beloved media figure, right?
Oklahoma fans.
And I'm fortunate enough that like it's kind of kickstarted my career just in terms
of how online Oklahoma fans are.
Oklahoma fans are very, very online.
Just go check out the Crimson Corner during a game day and you will find out
Oklahoma fans are very online.
I mean, we had people wondering if Bo Bentley's the future at quarterback.
He played five snaps on Friday night.
They weren't great, but they were questioning if he's the quarterback of the future.
They are very online.
We will figure something out.
I got ample amount of time.
I'm not going to be cutting up any video over the next couple of days.
That's for sure.
So I have plenty of time to figure something out.
And, you know, hopefully I'm still a holding out hope that all, you know,
cooler heads prevail and they give me a videographer credential,
just like everybody else that is all new.
For Eddie Rotto!
It's just, we're seeking justice for a lot of people this weekend when we make the trip to Ann Arbor.
And it's unfortunate because I'm so excited about a trip to the big house.
This is a place that Oklahoma has never been, a place I've never been.
It's one of the more iconic venues in sport.
It's unfortunate that this has been kind of sidetracked.
But I think once the game kicks off, it will be Oklahoma and Michigan.
Well, just as you know, too, like the Michigan Stadium is one large set of stairs.
So even if you buy the worst ticket in the house, you can just walk.
directly down.
There's no elevator.
It's a long term to make me lose weight, which I'm
Yeah. Yeah. Well, we're all playing that same battle.
I'll make you, I make you this promise if you get arrested
for something less than capital murder,
I will pay your bail.
And I want to ask one, I have to ask you this.
Did you look up what the charges would be and what the fine would be for something like
that? Like, are you aware of like the consequences of whatever actions you're planning?
Well, I mean, I'm not, I'm not planning anything.
It's just like, are you going to get a remote?
You keep talking about this.
I'm going to get a call.
I'm going to be sitting in my Airbnb in Michigan.
They're like, hey, by the way, you're not welcome.
No, I mean, I just feel like we're getting kind of singled out, which is kind of weird considering there would be.
And I say this very biasedly and very egotistically.
There'd be nobody else on the Oklahoma beat doing video if it wasn't for us.
We started doing this 15 years ago.
We've never had a problem until this week.
So, you know, it is what it is.
And if I have to leave in handcuffs, maybe that's what it's going to take.
I say that jokingly.
I don't think that we're going to have to get back.
We are joking, guys.
Yeah, like, we are joking.
But I will pay your bail.
I'm not, I'm not kidding about that.
Yeah.
Just don't murder anybody.
No murder.
You've already been to one murder trial this year.
Keep it in the misdemeanor range.
Yeah, keep in the misdemeanor range, please.
I'm so soft that nothing's going to happen, but it is what it is.
Guys, this is going to be a lot of fun.
The Rocky Beers shirt that Eddie mentioned.
Incredible.
That is spectacular.
Whoever is doing Rocky Beer's stuff needs a raise for those listening in podcast form.
It is a crimson shirt.
It has the OU logo.
It says beers across the front.
And in an homage to the Jordan Jumpman logo, but not the Jordan Jumpman logo, of course,
don't sue Nike.
It is Rocky Beers hurtling some U-TEP dude, but the OU-U-U-T-P dude.
And I can't speak to Rocky, but I'm pretty sure, like, Reagan and Ike, and I'm pretty sure Rowdy,
I'm pretty sure they don't drink, which is just even more like adds to the lore of Beers' family.
I'm sure that there's Oklahoma fans that will be drinking enough on Saturday to make up for it.
Well, enjoy your trip to Michigan.
I appreciate it, guys.
I hope I'm not your one phone call.
Yeah.
But you got my number in case.
No, Detroit is a pretty up in town.
When we went to write a phone number on our wrist
just in case anything happened.
Andy, I'm going to write your name on my,
your number on my arm.
Thank you, Eddie.
We'll see you.
Thanks, Eddie.
That is Eddie Radasovich.
One of our favorite people.
He's a sooner scoop.
Now, obviously, we love our friends at the Wolverine,
Chris, Ballas, Clayton Safie, Anthony Broom,
we love you guys too.
That's one of the great things about being it on three, Ari,
is we have all these awesome team sites
that cover the team better than anybody else.
So to get that in-depth look at Oklahoma,
because I don't think, I gotta be honest,
I don't think a lot of people watched Oklahoma, U-TEP.
Everybody watched Michigan, Western Michigan,
because it was close and Western Michigan
looked like they were going to win.
Nobody watched Oklahoma, Utah.
So this will be the first look at Oklahoma for most people other than Oklahoma fans this season.
Yeah.
So now you're prepped going in.
But yeah, I mentioned, you know, if you're an Oklahoma fan, you got to subscribe to Sooners Group.
If you're a Michigan fan, you should be subscribed to the Wolverine because they are outstanding covering that program.
They're always getting everything first.
And it is a great place to be to find your people to hang out with fellow fans who are as passionate as you are.
So on3.com slash join, and you pick your team, you pick your team site.
And, man, I cannot wait for this game, Ari.
There's so many good games this weekend.
Hey, tomorrow, though, we want you guys to help contribute to the show.
Dear Andy, dear Ari, you know how to find us.
Andy Stapleson3 at gmail.com.
Ari.com.
Aton3.com.
You can hit us up on social media.
You know where to find us there.
Ask your questions.
We will do our best to answer them.
But we got a huge, huge weekend coming.
Great games.
We'll talk about some of the games that are maybe a little more off the radar,
but not really.
They're just not like Alabama, Kentucky is a big game.
Tennessee, Georgia Tech is a big game.
Arizona State, Texas, A&M is a big game.
Arizona, BYU, big game.
Don't forget Minnesota, Mississippi State.
Narrative Bowl.
The narrative bowl.
Yes.
Absolutely.
We'll talk to you tomorrow.
Thank you.
