Starting point is 00:02:12 You've just witnessed the comeback to end all comebacks to the choke to end all chokes. Which one is it? I'm going with the comeback of all comebacks, Andy. Three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, all of which were at least 12 plays. Poise, you know, man, can we just like, I just like I'm kind of in shock right now,
Starting point is 00:02:36 but like that is like, is that not Arch Manning's moment? not Texas's moment? Is that not what people have been waiting five years for? That's what they've been waiting five years for. And it is the fourth down plays, I think is what it comes down to. The two decisions to go for it on fourth down when you could have punted. You still would have had a chance. But really, if you hadn't gone for it when you, now that we look back on how it all unfolded, you had to go for those fourth downs. So all the criticism of Steve Sarkesian, all the getting cute East and Wend. West on short yardage, all of that.
Starting point is 00:03:11 He abandoned it all. He went for it on fourth down. When he got to the goal line, they just ran it straight up. Ohio states, you know what. It was everything everybody's been complaining about, and he did the opposite, and they win. Andy, it has been, what was the year of our first podcast together? 2019, 2020?
Starting point is 00:03:35 It has been seven years of me. believing in this program. It has been seven years of me telling you that they're good enough to win a national championship. It has been seven years of being made to look like a fool over and over and over again. And it's been seven years, honestly, and three quarters of football tonight where that continued. When you think about all the things that Texas did wrong in this game, the fluke turnovers,
Starting point is 00:03:59 whether it be the real one on the first play of their offensive game or the Cam Coleman one at the end of the field, when you think about, you know, everything that's they did with the penalties and all the stuff. Like there's no reason why a team that I think I estimated that they donated Ohio State 24 points in the first half with that weird wonky fourth down in one call that turned into a touchdown. Ohio State didn't score 24 points in the game. So I don't think that that happened.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Let's add it up. So they gave three points. And it's not about how many they scored. It's how much they. I feel like this is that bodybuilding message board argument about whether there's seven days in a week or not? Yeah, let's do it. Can we just, can we, will you just, sure? Sure. We'll do that. We'll do that. And after that, we're going to have some freezing cold chat takes because people were in the chat. Yeah. Way before the game ended.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So yeah, go ahead. I've been refreshing Twitter a lot, uh, since I got back up here, Andy. And, uh, haven't seen a lot of Sark, Sark discourse. I don't know where they were. Oh, don't worry. There's plenty in the chat from the third quarter. So you go ahead and let's, let's add up the points. Okay, so three points right off the bat when Wingo fumbled and they gave them the three in the red zone, right? Yep. Seven points when the Cam Coleman wide open pass turned into an interception. Oh, we're including negative points. You're going to make you do real math here.
Starting point is 00:05:21 That's what I'm saying, like negative points. Then they turn it over again, well, Cam Coleman, negative points. My mind is kind of swirling here. There's a Wingo drop touchdown. There's the Wingo drop touchdown. That's seven more points. So that's 17. plus the fourth down and one that gave away three points at the end of the fourth half.
Starting point is 00:05:41 So it's like 100 theoretical points. No, but they were on the edge of the red zone. They went forward on fourth or on the edge of field goal range. They went forward on fourth and one at the end of the first half. They cost themselves three points that would have ended the half. And then it turned into an Ohio State touchdown when they shouldn't have even had a possession. That's 10 points. That's 24 points.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Those are negative points. I don't know math. You know, maybe I'm an idiot. I gave a lot. Let's just put it this way. Let's put it in plain English, Andy. teams that make that many mistakes or have that many scoring opportunity flips against Ohio State in my 10 years covering them didn't win very often. And as a result of that, they were down by 20 points going into the fourth quarter and they ended up winning the game.
Starting point is 00:06:20 It would have been very easy for Texas to say, we had so many mistakes, it's a long season, we'll get back at it. You know, all the things that you could say about a team that's on the cusp of doing something. But it felt like this was a line in the sand, a team that refused to lose on their home field during a year where people have a, ton of expectations for them. Three, 12 play plus drives at the fourth quarter to win a game against what we think could be one of the best defenses in the entire country. Like that was obviously, was that the biggest win of C. Sarkisian's career?
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, am I overdoing? Yes. Like, reel me in. Nope, don't have to reel you in. That is the biggest win of C. Sarkesian's career. The win at Alabama in 2023, that probably got them into the playoff ultimately,
Starting point is 00:07:01 is the other candidate. But I'd say this is the biggest. because there was so much of all of the things that they get mad at Sark for and that we make fun of Sark for happened. And then they still turned it around. And then he didn't do those things when he could have. And they won. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Exactly. Now, the funniest thing about college football excellence is that it's always what have you done for me lately business. Texas still has an SEC schedule ahead of it. It still has a hopeful college football playoff candidacy, and he will ultimately again be judged by what he does on those stages. But this is the exact personification of the thing that you and I have been drilling down over and over and over again for the past few years. Now, later on in the show, we're probably going to get to another example of a coach who's been knocking on the door who can't break through in Oregon. But when you are this close with the players that Texas has had on its team for the last few years,
Starting point is 00:08:00 when you invest to improve on a nine-win team that played a very hard schedule and had a great resume last year and bring in guys like Cam Coleman and Hollywood Smothers who scored the game-winning touchdown. Eventually, putting yourself in this position and on this field against teams like that, it's going to happen. You're not going to lose every time, and that was kind of my rationale. When I picked Texas, ironically enough, Andy, it was wrong, the laying of the points, which we'll get to.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I think I missed every single pick on the graphic, and I did what you did that you make fun of yourself for. But I think this was a monumental program shifting, narrative shifting win. There's a huge responsibility that comes with it. But if you are a, they're not winning this game because Sark is on the sideline person. Or if you're a winning this game because the Longhorns suck and they are never coming back or they squander all their good players and all these different things. Texas actually tried to do that for three quarters and they still were too good. To overcome that and still beat Ohio State. Like this is a completely different year and a completely different team.
Starting point is 00:08:59 And if I'm a Texas fan, I think this is exactly the night that I've been waiting for for five years since Sark has been hired. Well, let's let's talk to a Texas fan. Let's visit a Texas fan. We'll travel back in time to probably the, this would be late third quarter or, yeah. Did you keep receipts? Maybe early third quarter. It's in the chat. Sailor Joe bought a 999 super chat and says, is Texas cursed? Offensively, the talent looks like it's there, but the play calling feels like non-practice.
Starting point is 00:09:29 So many questionable decisions and wasted opportunities. Also, Jeremiah Smith is just him. I don't know, man. And then Raymond shimes in. Oh, shit. Can't wait to hear Ari's explanation for why his two title contenders got their lunch money, took off them with all of their famous five stars and $40 million roster stuff, L.O.L.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Read that one again, baby. Oregon is the other team he's talking about. Raymond again, nah, sailor. Sark is just soft as baby poop emoji. okay yeah you know listen i don't i have been very wrong with my first quarter takes my entire wait wait wait hold on okay keep going sailor jo again every time you have taken texas we effing fail the only person who's allowed to pick our team to win or lose is josh pate because every time he has picked us to win or lose it happens oh keep going wait here it is sailor joe holy fuck
Starting point is 00:10:31 I take it all back. He paid $1.99 to take it back and $9.99 to curse him. It is amazing. What a comeback. It was, it's interesting because you and another one of our colleagues, Pete Naco, has texted me at within 30 seconds of one another. And I think it was when the score was 23 to 10 to say Texas is going to win this game. Or was it 23 to 3?
Starting point is 00:10:59 But Texas is like in the red zone. Yeah, yeah. And it's just, I was like, no, no, no. That's not, they're, they're going to find a way to not do this. And they didn't. They just kept. And I think, but I'm interested to hear your take on this because Arch, like, even if you go back to his first start last year at Ohio State,
Starting point is 00:11:20 when they got into desperation mode and went up tempo, Arch got more comfortable and locked in. Yeah. And I heard Fowler said, I thought Fowler said it really well, tonight in the broadcast where he talked about how Arch had improved since he started playing quote unquote backyard football, which is probably a good description of it because when they were going up tempo and he's just running around trying to make a play because he's getting flushed from the pocket.
Starting point is 00:11:49 They did get more comfortable. They end up gassing Ohio State's defense. By the time they got to that last drive, Ohio State's defense was done. Yeah. And I'm assuming that we'll get to a little bit more of Ohio State because, like, yes, it's the field goal again. That would have ended the game. And, you know, but yes, that's exactly what you do, especially, like, isn't that what being home is all about, right? Like, you're kind of feeding off the energy of the crowd and, you know, keeping your offense on the field, forcing, you know, defensive stops.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Like, I feel like Texas played a really, really good fourth quarter, but I think that they played such a bad three quarter. that I'm willing to say that they're probably a much better team than Ohio State from what I've seen. Now, they played terribly. And, you know, the Sailor Joe comment or one of the comments that you flashed that, I can't wait to hear how Ari is going to rationalize this. I'll tell you how I was going to rationalize it. You fumble on the first play of the game. You have one of the craziest freak interceptions I've ever seen in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I still don't know how. Have you seen the screenshot of where Coleman was and where the defender was and how it does be. I've never seen anything like that before. The look on Arch's face afterward was. just incredible because it's like how on earth did this happen? What just happened here? Plus the wingo drop. Like when you think about all the things that they could have done, that was frankly just bad luck. And I think that they actually got some of that luck back in the fourth quarter because on one of their touchdown drives, they fumbled it twice and they recovered
Starting point is 00:13:17 it twice. And either of those recoveries from Ohio State ends the game. So like it kind of bounced back their way a little bit. But, you know, when you think about all the things that they had to overcome to win the game, and then the dominant fourth quarter that they had to do it, I mean, that was a pretty convincing win in my mind. I mean, again, I spent 10 years of my life living in Columbus, Ohio, and covering Ohio State. I don't think I can picture a single game,
Starting point is 00:13:42 and I've been trying to think about it, where a team gifted Ohio State as many points, and if the math doesn't work out opportunities in Ohio State lost. Yeah. Like that, just you don't see that. I think that's one of the most interesting parts of all this. And let's talk about Ohio State because they took advantage of some Texas mistakes and had a commanding lead.
Starting point is 00:14:05 And I know Arthur Smith didn't work for the Falcons when this happened, but it feels like 23-3 and 283 are going to have, you know, they're going to be twins when we talk about these comebacks. I know that you and I are not together right now, but when they ran that play, I felt like I was sitting next to you, pal. I hope you felt that too. Yes. But, but I mean, so Ohio State is dominating this game. Do you think they went too conservative, Ari? You know, I don't know. It felt like they had opportunities to slam the door shut.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And frankly speaking, if they would have just landed on one of the fumbles or just made the field goal, they win the game. So like, I think from a Ryan Day standpoint, you probably like, I don't know if there's like a coaching. Is there a single play that sticks out to you of like, wow, Ryan Day really? didn't do the right thing there. Or was it just kind of like, you know, just another team's momentum rolling you over and then bad breaks happening. Like, you know. And I feel like the clock sort of snuck up on them too.
Starting point is 00:15:06 But I'm not sure. I'm not sure how you would do it differently because you're trusting your defense to get a stop. And then they don't get a stop. And then you're in trouble. And then you're in the do we let them score or not situation, which is a terrible situation to be in with 51 seconds to go. Yeah. I think Ohio State has some defensive questions.
Starting point is 00:15:29 I mean, I think that that happens when you lose Caleb Downs and Arvel Reese and some of the players that were on that team last year. Because, again, you can't go back and change what happened, Andy, but like Ryan Wingo was wide open. Cam Coleman was wide open. It's not like they didn't have defensive breakdowns in the first half. They just didn't, they were lucky enough to not have to pay for them. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:45 So, like, honestly, I mean, Texas might have. Well, that's, that's what I'm wondering is how much of this. How much of this was Ohio State being lucky to be up that much at all. And then it just regresses to the mean. It felt like they were lucky. Not lucky because Ohio State's good, but I was in the, you know, in the press box, sitting with all our, sit next to Brooks Austin, our film guy. And like Ohio State was winning by a ton of points, but it never really felt like Ohio
Starting point is 00:16:13 State was beating the crap out of them. Did it, did it to you? Because it didn't to me. It felt like they were just, uh, the, they were fortunate to capitalize on a bunch of unfortunate occurrences on Texas. Well, no, okay, the Relique Brown Fumble was caused by Ohio State. Yeah. That one right out of the gate was a great defensive play by Ohio State. The interception off the Cam Coleman deflection was one of the strangest plays you'll ever see. So it was a great play, but that was, there's luck involved with that one.
Starting point is 00:16:45 So, yeah, there's a certain amount of luck that there is luck involved with Ryan Wingo dropping the ball when it's a wide open touchdown pass. Yeah. So I do think they were the beneficiary of good fortune. And then when Texas's bad luck ran out and they started having good luck, which was several times they fumbled and the ball bounced to them. There were several times when Ohio State could have easily picked up a fumble and it just happened to bounce to the Texas player. But that, it feels a little bit like Texas's luck balancing itself out. and then they're playing straight up.
Starting point is 00:17:24 They're both probably pretty good teams, and they end up playing a one-point game. Yeah, and I think it's possible that we'll see this game again, Andy. Not possible, maybe likely even, because they both have tough schedules and they're both in tough conferences, but this isn't the type of game that defines a season. The type of game that defines the seasons
Starting point is 00:17:46 was happening at the end of the year. I'm just so kind of overweight, by what I saw because the way that Texas was able to capture the win was so dramatic. Like, there are so many different things that you could say about this team. Like, Sark is a fraud, right? Like, we hear that all the time. Arch Manning's entire name is based solely on what's printed on the back of his jersey
Starting point is 00:18:06 and not any accomplishment that he's made. And, you know, I think that for the first time in a long time, you could say that Texas and Arch, you know, accomplish something on the merits of who they are and what, what they are this year, and it just truly feels different. Now, I don't know if that means that the result of the season is going to be different. You know, I picked Texas to win the national championship before the season. I still think that there's a pretty good shot of that, especially if they play a good,
Starting point is 00:18:32 clean four-quarter football game. But, you know, that was the first time, I think, of Arch Manning's career, Andy, where the man left, no doubt, had a wonderful three-drive span, kept his cool, was poised, delivered those pocket those passes on that final drive with precision. You know, and I jokingly texted you before that drive started saying, I think this might be the difference between me
Starting point is 00:18:58 running five miles and me being dead in the water or being correct. And I think that this could bolster what might be a really productive season from him because I know a lot of people were giving him crap in the first half. At one point in the game, at one point in the game, I texted our Heisman poll group chat at on three
Starting point is 00:19:14 with Jeremiah Smith number one, who cares? number two, who cares number three, who cares number four. Jeremiah Smith was spectacular tonight, but does Ohio State need to cultivate more than Jeremiah Smith? Brandon Ennis had a nice catch to convert a third down. Bo Jackson had some nice runs. I thought that was Bo Jackson's best game of his career in terms of his vision.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I think that we know that he's a tough runner and has some nice moves and can, you know, fight for some extra yards. but there were some runs in that in that game that Bo Jackson had that I was like oh wow I didn't know he had that in his toolbag I think that like that is a pretty good takeaway for Ohio State too like their running game last year was the reason why or the thing that was pretty easy to pick on at the beginning of the year why they couldn't win a championship despite having all those good players and I think kind of turned out to be true like I would have been encouraged I think by Ohio State's rushing attack tonight I know we only had 74 yards but you know I thought that was speaking there's not going to be a lot of people who run for for a hundred yards on that defense. And I realize this early this season, but I'm happy to make that prediction. Like, it's not going to be a defense that people just run all over.
Starting point is 00:20:25 What he did tonight was hard. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm critical of them. So, like, I think that's a good thing. So what, okay,
Starting point is 00:20:33 this game you said could happen again. What should Ohio State do differently if this game happens again? And bearing in mind, Ohio State is going to play some teams that are similar in talent to this one. And they got to, out how to beat him. You know, I think that the number one criticism that you could have of Ryan Day throughout his entire tenure, and I know that he slayed some dragons that Sark is currently trying to slay for himself. But sometimes I wonder if Ohio State is as aggressive or plays as aggressively as they should when they're winning games. Because they have a lot of talent and they have a lot of people who can make something out of nothing. And sometimes, like you say earlier on about like they play too conservatively, I think there's a case to be made that they can. have been more aggressive in the second half when they were winning by 20. They didn't have to be more aggressive when they were blowing the lead.
Starting point is 00:21:22 They had to be more aggressive and play like their zeros on the clock throughout the entire second half. And it kind of felt like at times in the second half that they were just trying to, you know, get out of here with a win, whether it be by three points or by one point. They weren't trying to just shut the door on them. I think they need to be more aggressive. And, you know, that's something that, you know, they were criticized for last year, right? What was their number one criticism last year? They played games slowly and they couldn't turn it on in the playoff when they played elite level players. So I think that Ohio State is going to learn a lot from that game.
Starting point is 00:21:48 And I think that that game is more valuable to Ohio State and their progression through the season than beating an overmatched team by 30 like they would have done last year. That is experience that this team can draw on. But I do think that, you know, there are times where they can go for the jugular and they just don't go for it. So our friend George Reister was on with us a couple weeks ago, like we can have to go. And he said he thinks that the loser of this game will miss. the playoff because his belief is both of these teams have such hard remaining schedules that it's going to be really hard to not lose two more games, especially if you've lost this game. Have you, and we both, I don't think we both agreed with him, but we both thought
Starting point is 00:22:31 that's a pretty good point given the remainder of the schedule. When you look at the rest of Ohio State schedule, do you think they could be doomed to nine and three because of this loss? I don't know if this is a good segue or what, and he already did a live video and I tried to join. So sorry about that. But Oregon looks a little bit different than we thought they were. No, I didn't agree with George when he said it. And I don't agree with him now. I think that we might have just got done watching the number one and number two team in the country play. Now, Ohio State's obviously going to fall back in the polls and rightfully so. But, you know, when you look around the country, we did for a certain period of time later, late on Saturday evening, get to a point where it's like, does everybody suck again?
Starting point is 00:23:12 Like we always get there at the beginning of the year every year. LSU was messing around and we'll get to these games. But, you know, I don't envision after what I saw from Ohio State tonight that this is a three or four lost team. They don't lose three games ever. And granted, their schedule is harder. Maybe they will. But I'm not convinced of that by that. Are you?
Starting point is 00:23:31 No, I'm not. And this is a good time to talk about Oregon. Let's talk about Oregon going to still water and losing. This was the most shocking results of the day. how does a team that lost to Tulsa last week turn around and beat Oregon? Andy, I wanted to listen to the show and I wanted to join it. I had some internet issues when I first got here and I had the worst 15 minutes of my life walking into the stadium. Literally, it was the worst 15 minutes of my life.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I didn't get to see the fourth quarter. Can you break it down for me like I didn't see it, please? Well, basically Oregon was in a point. It looked like Oregon was going to come back and win the game. It looked like Oregon had settled down and that they were going to be able to be okay. It was 31.30 when Evan Stewart scored first play of the fourth quarter. Yes, and I saw that. Yep.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Yeah. So you're like, okay, they're fine. Oklahoma State immediately goes on a 12-play 75-yard drive that ends with the Drew Mestimaker run where he dives over the goal line. and that basically is the problem and it has been the problem for Oregon all season. It was their problem against Boise State last week and it was a problem against Oklahoma State this week. If they don't create some sort of havoc play, like this game, they had a pick six with a really long return. And they also had another interception that got down to the one yard line and set them up for an easy touchdown. If they don't do that, the other team just moves the ball on them, like takes the ball into the red zone,
Starting point is 00:25:10 almost every time it feels like. And that's the issue. Like eventually defense gets tired and the other team gets confident. And that's what happened. And then Oklahoma State gets a couple stops. Now this was a game where there were some situations like we saw in Texas, Ohio State where there were some drops. There was a decorian more drop on a play that was a touchdown early in the game.
Starting point is 00:25:36 And, you know, I just don't know. I don't know what's different with the defense because Tosh Lepoy left. He was their defensive coordinator. He's the Cal Coach now. He got his first win as a congratulations to him. But I don't know why it's that different because Chris Hampton is in New D.C. He was promoted. And he was calling the plays before.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Like it's not different or it shouldn't be any different. The players are good individually, but I don't get it. I don't understand. This to me is an unfathomable result, and I'll tell you why. We spend a lot of time this week talking about Oklahoma and Michigan and how it's really hard to be one team, one week, and another team another week. And, you know, I don't think, as we did in our live video earlier, that Michigan was ultimately that different of a team.
Starting point is 00:26:39 I think they played another team that faces some of the same offensive, you know, struggles that they might face this year and won a defensive struggle. But when you look at Oklahoma State from week one to week two, Andy, we watched the Tulsa game in week one. Oklahoma's got their butts kicked in that game. Yeah. They were helpless on offense. And that was so shocking.
Starting point is 00:27:02 And then I look at week two, Andy. And they put up twice as many yards as, as Oregon, and Oregon had two defensive touchdowns. They got their asses kicked Oregon. Yes, I agree. That got their asses kicked by Tulsa. So in a world where we do a college football podcast, and on Monday when I have to take the heat for being terrible at picking games,
Starting point is 00:27:26 this is the hardest thing for me sometimes to reconcile. How do you predict this coming? Now, obviously we know Oregon had a tough week one, certainly. maybe they are, you know, we have some questions about promoting coordinators instead of hiring big shots when you have all the money that Oregon has. There's deeper discussions to be at. Hold on. I want to address Frank's what he said in the chat. Just because you keep saying players or a team is good doesn't make it so, and it keeps saying in the face of evidence, contrary is to just be in denial. Frank, Oregon has good players. You're going to see them
Starting point is 00:28:00 drafted very high in the draft next year. That doesn't mean they're a good team. I'll give you an example. Clemson last year had lots of good players. They were a bad team. So I'm not saying Oregon's a good team. I'm saying Oregon has good players. That is an undeniable fact. And if you want to throw back from the Stars Matter era, my thought always was,
Starting point is 00:28:22 having good players doesn't guarantee that you're going to have a great team, not having good players guarantees that you're not going to have a good team. Right. So that, that to me is the way that I look at football. But regardless of anything that somebody, from Miami or whatever wants to say about me. This is one of the most head scratching one, week one, week two results that I've seen in my entire career. This was a baffling.
Starting point is 00:28:47 This was dumbfounding. And then this was a loss that was so bad and so confusing that you have to ask bigger questions about the staff and who they are. Because, you know, I've been a huge Dan Lanning fan. And Dan Lanning, to his credit, has been so good at never having these games. what the hell is going on in Eugene? Well, and he got asked after the game, do you regret not opening up the coordinator job, you know, to a national search?
Starting point is 00:29:17 Both of the jobs, offensive and defensive. And he said no. He said it's more than that. But he's going to get asked that over and over, especially if they don't improve, especially if they don't improve defensively, because, again, the talent is there. it makes no sense why they are so easy to move the ball on so far this year.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Yeah, yeah. And like I pride myself on like feeling like I know how to explain things. And even when I'm wrong, I think I'm pretty good at like at least articulating my viewpoint. When it comes to explaining away what happened with Oregon so far this year, I think this is going to be an ongoing discussion. Like I don't have a lightning in the bottle or a message that I could give to an Oregon fan to try to explain this. I think about Dan Rubinstein from the solid verbal a lot because he's an Oregon fan. And I view Texas and Oregon very similarly coming into the year.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Teams that have a lot of good players, teams that have been on big stages and have competed their asses off against good teams and have come short. This could be a year you break through. I mean, on the same day that Texas finally broke through on the field down there, Andy, across the country is a complete veer in the opposite direction. And this is the type of loss that Laning has never had as a head coach. All of his losses were to the eventual. national champion.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Right. And I think we're going to, I think Oregon State, or excuse me, Oklahoma State is going to wind up being good. Sure. But you shouldn't lose this game. This is similar to Stark losing to Florida last year. It doesn't make any sense. Yeah. You know, and the other thought that I have creeping into the back of my head and, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:55 I don't want to, again, get too ahead of myself, but this is a podcast and we're having fun. What the hell did what happened in Eugene mean for a team that? playing on television right now. You mean what happened in Stillwater? And what are you talking about for USC? For USC. Currently locked in a pitched battle with the Raysian Cajuns, 1410 with nine minutes to go in the second quarter.
Starting point is 00:31:18 By the way, hands up, didn't look at the score before I went down this road. Didn't know that. Forgive me. Yeah, it's not been the easiest night for the Trojans. They are moving the ball. but I'm sure they wind up running away with this, but holy cow. You never know on today. Never know today.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Well, I was going to say Clemson is up 16 to 7 on Georgia Southern with six minutes to go in the third quarter. Georgia Southern's offense is putrid. The fact that this is only 16 to 7 is very disturbing. There's 12 games. We'll count them about the end of the year. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I know.
Starting point is 00:31:56 What if they're 11 and 1? This is going to be fun. This is going to be fun because we saw a lot of that this week. You watched LSU in the first half of the Louisiana Tech game. Now, they did end up running away with it. Sam Levitt ran for a bunch of touchdowns. But you watched them and you're like, wait a second, maybe this team's not going to go steamroll Ole Miss.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Yeah. That game may be close. Yeah, especially because Old Miss seemed to clean up some of the defensive miss cues. Obviously, opponent quality has a really good way of kind of. masking some of those things, but Louisville had a pretty good day on Saturday. But, you know, that's obviously the game of the week. But, you know, Andy, if you look through the top
Starting point is 00:32:37 10 of teams that you anticipate will be, we'll make that up on Monday in the AP poll, like which ones are you absolutely certain are good right now, you know, it's kind of a fun game to play. Nobody? Nobody. I'm pretty certain Miami's good. I think so, but, I mean, the best thing they play is Stanford, so not sure about anything yet.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Yeah. I'm not sure about Georgia, which has looked awesome, but they've played Tennessee State and Western Kentucky. So I don't know right now. And I think that that's the fun of this. That's the fun of this. Now I have to do my projected playoff after we finish this show, and it's going to, there are going to be some wild. I think Michigan may be in it. Michigan, which probably should have lost to Western, well, not probably, which should have lost to Western Michigan.
Starting point is 00:33:27 I think I'm going to put them in it. They beat Oklahoma today. Yeah. I mean, the way you do it, where you add up quality wins, right? They're two and oh, one of the best wins in the country right now. They have,
Starting point is 00:33:40 I think Oklahoma is good, but yeah. And I do think Oklahoma is still good. I think Oklahoma's defense is going to keep them in just about every game. So I am fascinated by what the hell is going to happen. Another game. that you probably didn't get to see much of
Starting point is 00:33:59 because you were busy covering Texas and Ohio State. Oregon State gave Texas Tech about all they could handle in Corvallis. Oregon State was winning this game in the fourth quarter. Yeah. Texas Tech, I believe, scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Is that what you just said? They did, yes. It's a good reminder, Andy, that we can spend all offseason
Starting point is 00:34:26 and we'll continue to do so in the foreseeable future trying to outline what we think is going to happen in games. But, God, is there any more of an information-finding period in college football than the first two or three weeks of a football season? You know, shocking results happen from week one to 12. It happens every week. That's what makes the sport so wonderful. But in terms of, you know, Texas Tech's win total on Pollymarket
Starting point is 00:34:49 at being at 11.5, right? You don't want to see your team losing to Oregon State in week 20 if you took the over of that. Well, and that's the thing, and I want to ask you, if you watched that Texas Tech Oregon State game and you watched the BYU, Arizona game, are we sure Texas Tech is the favorite in the Big 12 right now? No. We're not sure. I also think Arizona is pretty good. I do, too. I think No, feed is excellent, and I think BYU, now that they're going to be, there's some decisions that, and in Brent Brennan talked about it, you know, fourth down to sit.
Starting point is 00:35:26 that I think he might want back. But I thought BYU played an excellent game. I thought Bear Bokmire was great down the stretch. And BYU was physical down the stretch, L.J. Martin, you know, had plenty of room to run. And that's been the hallmark of their entire tenure. Yes. The entire Kalani Sataki tenure, close games, hard-fought games through three-quarters. And BYU was offered the tougher outfit at the end of the game.
Starting point is 00:35:54 And it is unfortunate. Someone asked in the chat, Andy, if BYU is playing Texas Tech this year? I don't believe they are in the regular season. No, not the regular season, but are they playing Texas Tech this year? I think there's a good chance to play Texas Tech this year. Same place they played Texas Tech the last time they played them. Yeah, BYU has Notre Dame, too, in Provo, which would be a lot of fun. But, you know, I do think that, you know, I am still kind of in a head swirling state right now
Starting point is 00:36:18 because I don't feel like I have a really good. I know one thing for sure. I know a bad team down there is really good. I know Miami's office is good, but I don't feel like I have a great grasp of what this sport and these rankings are going to look like in four weeks from now. No, I don't either. Let me give you another team that I think we've struggled to categorize, but I think may actually be a playoff contending team that, you know, most preseason prognostications did not view this as a playoff team. But let's talk about the Alabama Crimson Tide and the question that Gavin asked is Alabama's defense one of the top in the country.
Starting point is 00:36:55 We don't know. But given what they did today, I think it's a pretty safe thing to think. Kentucky scored 17 points, but seven of those were on a pick six. So. Yeah. Keel & Russell's first, one of his first passes of the game. Yeah, he got returned for touchdown. Then Alabama traded back with a pick six.
Starting point is 00:37:16 But Kane Womack has been, he's been criticized pretty soundly in his two plus seasons that Alabama's defensive coordinator. It looks like he's got a group that is deep and that is athletic and that will punish you. Because that's what they did. They just kept punishing Kentucky over and over. And it gave the offense time to get stuff figured out. Yeah. And listen, this was my, you know, Nick Rauch got to me.
Starting point is 00:37:45 God damn that guy. He had a lot of good stats. I'll give him that. But, you know, for Alabama to pull away the way that he did it because, you know, midway through the game was like, we might be on upset a little bit. here. It was 1713 Kentucky at halftime. And then Alabama did the
Starting point is 00:38:01 only, did all of the scoring in the second half. Yeah. So I think that that's probably a huge huge positive news for Alabama fans to, you know, half because you've got to be honest. Alabama fans
Starting point is 00:38:17 here in the chat, Alabama fans who are listening to this later, be honest in your chest in your heart. You're a little scared this year, weren't you? Maybe things were going on. They're still not supremely confident. They want to see more. I was very impressed by them today, though, because I was certainly one of the Alabama could lose four or five games this year,
Starting point is 00:38:39 and it wouldn't surprise me, guy. And I think that this was a huge, at least sign that they're headed in the right direction in terms of being in the CFP discussion. I also think that this is another one of the young hot shot offensive coordinators who overhauls parts of the rock. but, you know, can't be Kurt Signetti examples that we're going to keep finding because I think that, you know, there was a lot of hype around Kentucky. And, you know, obviously this doesn't mean that they stink or that they're never going to be good. But, you know, I think that it's a reminder that you can't just flip a roster and beat Alabama in one year because you made the right hire.
Starting point is 00:39:14 So, you know, Alabama asserting its dominance or its superiority over a team that's trying to build something is exactly where Alabama fans want their team to be. They had Kenny Minchie in hell. They're going to have Ash and Daniels in hell next week. Yeah. I know we've only seen two weeks, but I've seen enough of Florida State to know it's going to be a difficult game. Be careful on that one. That one's scary.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Be careful on that one, Andy. No, because then they have Lenora Sellers and Camario Taylor, who are legitimate stud athletes who also happen to have great arms. So those guys might be different. Those guys might be tougher to deal with, but most quarterbacks are going to struggle against Alabama's pass rush. So now, let's talk Camaro. Let's talk Camaro Taylor. I called this one the narrative bowl in the SEC versus Big Ten.
Starting point is 00:40:09 And because I, you know, Michigan beats Oklahoma, Texas beats Ohio State. That's great, but that's a wash. Mississippi State clobbered Minnesota, even though the score looks close. they did. Actually, Producer River has the wrong score in the graphic. It was 38.13. It did not feel that close even.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Yeah, I was going to say that score doesn't look like what. Yeah, I was like, well, that game was not. No, it wasn't close. Well, no, Minnesota scored at one point that second touchdown. And so you thought maybe they could get back into the game. It never felt like they were really in it. but yeah, it was 2813 because they scored right after halftime. You're like, okay, maybe they can get back in it.
Starting point is 00:41:00 But Mississippi State kicks a field goal right after that. And you knew. And Camaro Taylor is, I don't know, I'm not going to call him the most physically gifted quarterback, but just in terms of everything he can do, he's up there already. And I know he started a few games at the end. in the last season. But he is big. He is fast.
Starting point is 00:41:28 His arm strength is incredible. Like flick of the wrist, 50 yards. That was something. I mean, you know, Andy, quarterback can change the chemistry a little bit.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Will you check my math on this? I don't know. Has an SEC team lost yet? A game. No, Vandy didn't lose to Delaware. No. But,
Starting point is 00:41:54 well, we're talking, We're saying this as Arkansas is playing Utah, they are losing to Utah currently. Okay. I said an SEC. It's not looking great for them. Yeah. Not looking great for the hog right now.
Starting point is 00:42:07 But the hogs are, sorry, the SEC has been quite impressive in the narrative bowl games. Texas A&M, we were watching. Yep. That's another one. And that Texas A&M when I do think Arizona, that's one where Arizona State probably played a idiot. Yeah, there you go. But Arizona State played better.
Starting point is 00:42:26 than the final score looks. But the way Texas A&M took a close game and blew it up into a blowout was really impressive. Absolutely. Was it two defensive touchdowns in the second half to open things up a little bit? It did feel like Arizona State was being that pesky little brother
Starting point is 00:42:46 that was going to make a statement for the Big 12 and it ultimately didn't turn out that way. But Texas A&M is a team that were kind of interested to see what they turn into. And like if they were kind of a fraud or they were a schedule merchant last year, although the Notre Dame game, I think, makes that an unfair categorization of what they were a year ago.
Starting point is 00:43:03 You know, to go out and win a game like that by four scores, I think as a statement in terms of, you know, how good you're going to be. Like, I saw a lot of questions during the game, Andy, about Marcel Reed and people were bagging on them a little bit. But, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:20 you beat Arizona State by 28 points in week two. I think you should feel pretty good about the way things are headed. No. And look, they're going to get challenged. They've got Kentucky next week. They go to LSU after that. They're going to get LSU right after LSU plays Ole Miss. We're going to know about Texas A&M.
Starting point is 00:43:38 They'll be tested plenty. But can they be as good as they were last year? I think there's a chance they might be. If this defense plays the way it did today, especially toward the end of the game, then I think they can be similar to what they were last year. So they could be back in the playoff. Another team that could be back in the playoff after a one season absence, Ari,
Starting point is 00:44:05 your Boise State Broncos. Because they took what was a close game against Memphis and turned it into a beat down at the end, mostly because Boise State's defense just clamped down. So Memphis was winning 20 to 17 at halftime. and then Boise State just put the hammer down in the second half. They did not let Memphis move ball and all. You know what this means, right?
Starting point is 00:44:34 This means that I did not go over on the graphic. Are you proud of me? Well, let's check. So I had a bad start, but a nice hot finish. So let's see how you did. Okay. Yeah, check the till here. Kansas, Missouri, you took Kansas to cover.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Missouri won. By the way, we're sorry. That was my bad. I was talking about the drum in the video that we put out Saturday morning about this game. It is the prize for winning the game. So they did not need to take that away from the Missouri players. They were parading it around because they won it. Okay, so you lost that one.
Starting point is 00:45:10 You took Oklahoma minus six and a half, lost that one. Took Oregon minus 22.5. Lost that one. Took Kentucky plus 10.5. Lost that one. Took Minnesota minus 0.5 in the pickum against Mississippi State. Lost that one. Took your alma mater at BYU.
Starting point is 00:45:28 Lost that one. Took Arizona State plus 14.5 to Texas a.m. Lost that one. Took Texas. Minus one and a half. They only won by one. So you lost that one. But you did win Boise State,
Starting point is 00:45:41 minus seven and a half over Memphis. And Producer River. Pop up. Give us that score that you've wanted to give us all night. Pop up your ball. Tennessee to cover the 11 and a half. against Georgia Tech. That's right.
Starting point is 00:45:57 I'm telling you guys, I told you all week, the falls are riding on good vibes this year. I don't know what it is. I don't know if I can put my finger on it. There's some good vibes. Or they're writing on Georgia Tech, having a head coach who hired his best friend as the OC, who's not really called plays before,
Starting point is 00:46:14 and they're not nearly as good as they have been in the last couple of years. Yeah. Or the balls are really good. Or the balls are bad. Great. Yeah. lead it to it freak about it or yes one of the two things one of these two things might be true but yeah so weird game because Georgia Tech blocks a punt and scores on the block punt goes up 10 to 3 and it's like
Starting point is 00:46:40 uh oh and then Tennessee just controlled it the rest of the way yeah yeah uh I mean they're better than Colorado we can say that right that's good yeah I think well I think so I can see more Colorado. There's one thing that we can unequivocally say, save for a weird game against Kennesaw, which I don't see coming. Knoxville, your vols are going to be absolutely electric at home against Texas in two weeks. It's going to be spectacular. The atmosphere in Neeland Stadium is going to be incredible.
Starting point is 00:47:19 By the way, leading tackler for the team. Texas, excuse me, by giving me my orange, orange teas mixed up, my UT's, leading tackler for the balls. Arion Carter with eight. Now, we all know Aaron Carter had to sit out the first game of the season for the dumbest suspension ever, took a $427 plane ticket from an agent. The NCAA is like, we got you. We got you.
Starting point is 00:47:45 So, to make fun of the NCAA, he is donating $427 to cancer research for every tackle he makes. So that will be $3,416 donated after tonight. Congratulations, Aaron Carter. I'm telling you, it's all vibes with this team this year. High on vibes. And he's got his roebuck has he hoodie on too. Look at that little sheepish smile on his face.
Starting point is 00:48:10 Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Just good stuff. I mean, they were much better than Georgia Tech. The real test comes in two weeks like we mentioned. But hey, vibes are high and we'll ride them as long as we can. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:22 It's going to be so much fun because conference play starting to begin in earnest in a lot of the leagues next week. And we're about to get into some uncharted territory because we don't know anything. And I think the first two weeks have proven that pretty well. But, man, it's been fun. Let's see, what else happened? Oh, you had some good overtime games, Wake Forest beat Purdue. in double overtime. Purdue did not,
Starting point is 00:48:55 Purdue scored the touchdown, but did not get the two-point conversion that you have to go for. And then Wake scored the touchdown in the second overtime and got the two-point conversion. And they won. Meanwhile, Jacksonville State and Ohio, you went to four overtimes. They went to penalty kicks. And the Bobcats won.
Starting point is 00:49:17 This is a fun day today. I'm going to venture to say this, because every college football Saturday feels perfect. and amazing and awesome. But this was like the perfect Saturday when you think about it. Highly anticipated noon slight, you had a massive upset of a national championship contender, and you had a thriller between two top five teams in the nightcap. Not to mention a bunch of grab ass all around,
Starting point is 00:49:45 but when you think about appetizer, dinner, dessert, that was a hell of a meal today. Absolutely. Absolutely. Producer River tells me I need to mention Vernel Brown, the third from Florida. They were playing the Campbell Camels. They were dressed like the 1980s Denver Broncos, Florida was. God, those are beautiful. It was a little confusing.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Beautiful, though. Maybe three, three catches for 43 yards and a touchdown. That was not the truly interesting thing. It was the punt returns. He returned four punts for a total of 173 yards. an average of 43.3 yards per turn, and two of them he took to the house. So congratulations to Vernal Brown third.
Starting point is 00:50:28 I covered your dad, and now I'm really old. So humming, Andy. Your gamers are humming. Yeah, well, the Gators will be heading to Auburn next week for their SEC opener. Auburn's next SEC opener. Auburn handled Southern Miss very easily tonight.
Starting point is 00:50:44 That's going to be fun. This is, we got an LSU Ole Miss next week. all of the Lane Kiffin stuff is coming back. Yeah. Yeah, I think we'll probably have a video about that on Sunday at some point, right? I mean, is it too soon to talk about it? I mean, are we going to talk about it all this week? I thought we're just going to ignore it.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Yeah. Penn State Handled Temple. Let's see. Both Indiana schools, Indiana, Notre Dame, won by more than 50 points over overmast. Yeah, just hammered the teams they played. Oh, Iowa. they didn't walk off Iowa State, but it was a very classic edition of Elasico where they,
Starting point is 00:51:29 both teams just moved around the middle of the field for a solid 45 minutes. But Iowa had a couple fourth quarter field goals that proved to be the difference. They say that 77% of all stats are made up offhand. I'm going to make up another one. The Iowa Iowa State game hasn't been decided by more than three points since 1941. one. They did have that weird really high scoring one, but I think that also was decided by very few points. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it's, it was Iowa state kicking late field goals the last two years, I believe, to win this game. And this time, Iowa. Can I give a shout out to a team to maybe put on our radar? Yes. Your Houston Cougars beat
Starting point is 00:52:11 Southern 77 to six today. Now, that's not necessarily the takeaway. But if you remember all the way back to seven days ago. They beat Oregon State 33 to 20, and Oregon State played Texas Tech quite well. I know that we're trying to peg the Big 12, and that's a very hard thing to do. But I wonder if Houston, who's coached by the talented Willie Fritz, is a team that might sneak up on us in a few weeks and be like, okay, this team's a contender in the Big 12. Interesting enough, Ari. Who do they play on Friday night? Texas Tech. I didn't even look at their schedule. You're right. Yes. So that's a game.
Starting point is 00:52:47 I think we have ourselves a game. Yeah. Oh, also the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, who beat Oklahoma State last week, Trey Lamb Company challenged by Sam Houston State, but held up on the goal line to win this sucker, 2317. And I guess it's probably...
Starting point is 00:53:10 Fourth and goal from the Tulsa 5, they sack Sam Houston State's quarterback, force of fumble. and recover. Andy? Yes. I'm happy and pleased to inform the listening audience and you that USC just returned a punt and is now winning 28 to 10.
Starting point is 00:53:31 So hopefully for their sake, they're going to continue rolling. I think they're going to be fine. Yes. I think they're going to be fine. And I believe it was Trent Mosley who returned it and one of the sensational freshman that makes everyone's jaw drop. Yeah, it was 86-yard punt return. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:46 And USC's got a week off. off before they have to play Oregon. Oregon plays Portland State on Friday night. But I think we can probably have just a little snippet of looking ahead. Like, how differently do you view the USC Oregon game now versus 24 hours ago? I still think that it's everything to USC. I don't care if Oregon is, loses all the games between now and the 26th or 27th whenever they play. That is everything.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Well, they only play Portland State so they're not going to. Yeah. Well, I'm kidding. You know, I think that for USC, that game, regardless of whether Oregon's number one or number 29 in the polls, is going to be a litmus test for where they are because of the athletes on the other side of the sideline. Now, I think that maybe this idea that USC cannot win or that they just have to play it close, maybe shifts a little bit, because I think we talked about just look like you belong. I think maybe it's shifted a little bit to maybe win. but we're not going to talk seriously about USC. No one's going to take them seriously until they win that game.
Starting point is 00:54:53 So go win it, especially if Oregon's down. Outlaw Mustang 6969 says North Dakota State will win the Mountain West. Well, the Bison are playing their first Mountain West conference game tonight. Currently leading Air Force 35 to 13 in Colorado Springs with five minutes to go in the third quarter. the bison are for real are you good programs doing good program things they are they're equipped to win this league now uh probably have to get through new mexico not probably getting through unlv which was 44 to six to north texas north texas wow i know i saw that score and i jumped out at me today well and that's the thing you know north texas moved the ball a little bit on indiana last week and you
Starting point is 00:55:43 thought, okay, that's, that's interesting. But, hey, they got killed by India. No, no, they, they clobbered UNLV. And Neil Brown, who, you know, I think he had a very hard job at West Virginia, ends up getting fired, but was fantastic at Troy. So maybe he's just a wizard at this level, but he has put that team together quick.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Proust River makes another good point. Both, well, and maybe all three, Service Academies end up losing if Air Force loses, but Army lost to FAU and, excuse me, Navy lost FAUU. Army lost a nail biter at home to USF. Ryan Hartline with his first conference win as a head coach. 2 and O. Two and O, right? Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. Good for him. I'm very curious to see how that all turns out. Obviously, hot shot coordinator, great recruiter, going down to Florida. Florida is a very interesting storyline in general. But for a while,
Starting point is 00:56:48 there looked like USF was going to lose that game. So it was cool to see them come back and win it. Yeah. Michael Van Buren, we've seen him play for a lot of teams. We've seen him play for Vandy. We've seen him play for LSU. I believe we've seen him play for Mississippi State.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Now at USF. He has a year of his career. I think this is it. I think it's done. UCLA beat San Diego State, Wisconsin beat Western Illinois. I think we've hit all the highlights. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:18 This was a really fun Saturday. I'm excited you got to be in Austin to watch that comeback for Texas. That was spectacular. It really was. And everything you want in a game like that between those kind of teams. Yeah. And it's just funny because you get a sense in the building that it's like that it's happening. Like I got that sense.
Starting point is 00:57:39 So we'll see. But, you know, I was prepared to start this show on a. 10 minute rant about how I'm tired of Texas embarrassing me. And it's about time they finally did something that made me look like I'm not a complete idiot. And I know I do that enough on my own. But they have good players. I don't think their coach sucks. And I think that they've been knocking on the door.
Starting point is 00:57:59 This is what happens when you spend the roulette wheel a hundred times. It's going to land out red every now. Speaking of my, I wasn't, you weren't speaking of this, but I'm speaking of this, of fired coaches, or coaches who were fired last year. at big programs who immediately got other jobs. Billy Napier scored 87 points against Wagner today. James Madison scored 87. James Franklin, meanwhile, Virginia Tech crushed Old Dominion.
Starting point is 00:58:31 They looked great. And that was a game that Virginia Tech had struggled with in previous regimes. Yes, yes. And they had this wild sequence where it looked like they had a scoop and score. The guy carrying the ball, and he was not. trying to celebrate. He wasn't doing anything dumb. He just clearly is a defensive player or not accustomed to carrying the ball. I think he was trying to switch hands, drops the ball just ahead of the goal line. He's heartbroken. O'DU gets the ball back.
Starting point is 00:59:00 On the very first play, scoop and score for Virginia Tech. So it's just one of those things. It was one of those games, but the Hokies look good. So we will we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see James Franklin against a more challenging opponent. Very special opponent for him next week. They play Maryland where he was once the coach in waiting with Ralph Friesian. And then when they got rid of Friesian, they were like, eh, we don't really want you to be our coach, James Franklin. And he went and took the Vandy job.
Starting point is 00:59:35 So this is going to be very interesting next week. Lots of fun matchups. Maryland beat Yukon. Congratulations to Mike Loxley and company. So that sets up the turtles and the turkeys. I've just fired up for week three. This day just ended. I'm already ready for week three.
Starting point is 00:59:56 I know. I know. The game we've been looking forward to all offseason, Lane Kippen returning to Oxford. And as amazing as that is, I think the first two weeks have set up so much theater everywhere else, too, that now I just, I can't. this next week is just going to be so much fun.
Starting point is 01:00:18 We're going to have so much to talk about. And I can't wait. Andy, it's the Super Bowl of feelings, man. You don't think I'm fired up? I know you are. And look, you're fired up because the horns didn't embarrass you tonight. You can still hook them. Yeah, you can still hook them without embarrassment.
Starting point is 01:00:38 But boy, you, you know, you were down bad in the second quarter. I'm not going to lie. I was. I was. Feel good. Feels good to be right sometimes, though. I mean, you still think the game, wrong. They still didn't cover.
Starting point is 01:00:55 They didn't. I'm allergic to covering. Even the game, like, I was like laughing. I like legitimately, Andy was just laughing when Texas A&M was scoring defensive touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Like, even games that I feel like I kind of had the right read on, I'm not covering. But, you know, that's the way it goes. And you know what? I'll own it.
Starting point is 01:01:09 I'll own it. Thank you for watching, everybody. I'm going to go back to watching this Georgia Southern Clemson game, which isn't over yet. It's 16 to 7 with 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. And Max Johnson is still out there slinging it. I don't know. We may have more. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:30 I'm going to tell you right now, producer River, you don't have to stay awake for this. I'll do it all on my own if I need to. If Georgia Southern comes back and wins this game, I'm going live. It's a must. I'm going to stay here until the game's over and I'll join. Okay. Okay. Okay. If Clemson scores another touchdown, I think you'd feel pretty comfortable. Again, Georgia Sorthens offense is bad, bad. But there remains a slim possibility. So I'm going to hang out until such time that I feel comfortable.
Starting point is 01:02:03 But yes, I'm going to pop up with the iPad. I'm going to throw it on right here. I'm going to do some editing and maybe a little bit more writing and I will be right here with you if it happens. All right. Guys, we'll talk to you after the games next week, but we'll talk to you again on Sunday, breaking down everything that's coming next week, including, of course, Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Talk to you soon. Georgia Southern Trickeration did work, but they got a P.I. out of it.
