We're starting to see, you know, when you first came in, you're a chipper. By week three, the bags in your eyes are coming in the beards coming in they're wearing me down everybody we said we're taking bets by December you're gonna start looking like Jesus Christ Sam how is the tour going and how are you feeling about everything? The things are great man this is This is the best case scenario. Yeah. I mean that. You're on the road, get a little funk. I got a cold, everybody.

That's what's going on right now. Oh. Oh. But other than that, I'm doing great. Sam, be honest with the fans. They know, they know. Help, send help. They know, they know.

It's not easy just jumping into professional liver like the Andy Frasco in the U.N. thing. It takes a while. I saw you yesterday. We were like, it was day off, we were in Fayetteville, and we're like, let's just go to Maxine's and go have a cocktail. I saw the dead in your eyes. I saw the dead in your eyes. I saw the fuck.

We're just gonna have a couple cocktails. We're gonna have a couple cocktails. Everything's gonna be fine. And I just saw the dead in your eyes like, I'll take a soda water. Hey, how are you feeling? How are you feeling? Is that is our drinking? Is it all? is it a lot of drinking on this tour? I mean it is, but like not more than like you would expect to be on a tour I guess. Yeah. Do you think we're as crazy as you? What was your image of this, of what you're getting yourself into versus now three weeks in, you know who we are? Give me the pluses and the minuses. I think, I don't think it's as crazy as maybe I was expecting

or as like literally everybody goes, oh my God, you're going on tour with Andy Frasco. It's going to be crazy. You better get your liver ready, you know. It's yeah, we're not that crazy. The reaction's been unbelievable. How do you feel that our fans are reacting towards, even in the last six months,

it's just been, feels like a night and day, people are screaming the songs. It's not just like, here for the party. It's cool, man. I mean, especially like these, all the rooms, really. I mean, it's just like, the new tunes people are singing.. I know that's crazy. For like a month, you see like, at least the first three rows of people that are like, you know, like they're singing along. It's like, could you try not to die? And like, that's like everybody's anthem right now.

I know dude, like yeah! Sick man. Like fucking please try not to die, Frasco. Yeah, please don't, please don't die. But um, no,, it's been yeah, it's been awesome. I mean, you have big shoes to fill. Ernie Chang's been in the band for 12 years. This is intimidating to fill him. Dude, and it's a huge responsibility that I'm excited you guys have given me because yeah, Ernie Chang's the dude.

Everybody loves that guy, you know? And so every night I'm just hoping to do it justice, you know? I see sometimes I'll see some random fans say, you're not Asian. It's true. I'm not. Wait, you white as fuck. You're a little honky ass boy from Colorado. Look at this pretty boy.

You are making us prettier. You are making us pretty. So I'm like, damn, we had to rely on Floyd for his looks forever. Now it's like, yeah, we got a couple guys now. Yeah, any proposition to me to join the band, he's like, oh, and you play the saxophone? Cool. All I cared about is if you're hot.

They've got very strong opinions about things and they are not shy to let you know how they feel. Isn't it amazing how nice people are actually really mean people? By far, yeah. I've met some of the meanest people in the reggae scene.

Really? But they'll preach some peace to you. Yeah. Immediately. It's a good thing about our scene. We're all friendly and it's not bullshit friendly. It's authentic. Yeah. It's not like just a shit talking like once like like that southern nice or it's like oh bless your heart when they say like you

dumb mother. That's really one. Well as someone from the south, I've kind of take offense to that. Sorry about that. But uh the fans been good. Fans been great. What's the tour's been great. You feeling good? This is your first big bus tour too. This is my first bus tour. Yeah, I came from like Springer van tours.

So it's a change of pace, but it feels more relaxing even though it's a bigger tour, if that makes sense. Right. Do you think we're partying too much? No. No? I was. I prepared for way more partying too much? No. No, I was. I prepared for way more than that. Everyone's prepared.

Everyone's prepared like we're fucking just like the craziest dudes. I was warned. I was warned. Who was, who warned you? Every single person I spoke to. Yeah. Every single person. They said, oh, you're going on tour with the Frasco boys? That's going to be tough. Prepare yourself.

Yeah, we we were when we found out you're sober like oh fuck he's not gonna last fucking two weeks. Yeah no this has been the easiest three weeks on the road. Let's fucking go. That's what I'm talking about. See we're changing people. It's all about the music and you crowd surfed. How was that feeling? First time in probably 20 years I say I gained a little weight since last time but the Frasco fans don't let you down They don't drop you they don't drop you But I'm glad you're on tour with us. You're you're part of the family now your life for welcome home. That was been great man

Trevor's been great. What do you what do you think your poor car on Trevor's been so far a plus me a plus you're working You help set up gear you really care about selling merch. so from soundcheck to the actual downbeat the the um, I Would say it's drastically different on Dynamics. Oh cuz like we're playing quieter on sound check cause we're hung over and strung out. Yes. Honestly, it's gotten better each week. Maybe I'm just going deaf. So it's like, you know, no, I'm just kidding. Like first week, I think it was a little loud. We're still figuring it out. the last week's run was great yeah can we explain to because this is the first time anyone's heard about anything about the Kana detainment where they the dog the little cute-ass oh yeah so why don't you tell the fans why they smelt you and started barking?

Well Walker, I think the dog saw that I was kind of a dog in me, you know, I'm just a Fun go lucky dog kind of guy. Oh, and the dog just sat down and looked at me and I thought it was adorable Then I was like, oh shit They're gonna Search your asshole. Yeah, yeah. They were definitely like, this dog was like, this guy's full of shit, I can see it. Wasn't it crazy? Like, it was like, we had the, in Canada, all like the drug dogs are just like friendly

little labs. Oh my God. They're sweet. They're like sweet little puppies. I'm like, oh my, I just want to pet them. Like, don't touch the dog. Yeah. It's like, oh, it's so cute.

But like, it was so, they did not believe that we weren't smuggling drugs. They had three dogs. They had the cute little dog, and they're like, oh, this dog is too... Then they brought the veteran dog. They brought the old hound, who probably sniffed a few kilos of cocaine this time. Like, damn, damn, damn. But nothing happened. They found a jar of weed, but they let us go. Yeah, they were cool about it. They thought it was funny. It was like they had this jar of weed in this one

when she's just like, well, we found some weed. And everybody's like, of course, we found some weed on the bus. And they're so nice about it. And then they took a picture of us like we were like in Bad Boys or something. Yeah, yes. They liked us. They were good people Toronto took good care of us. I mean I had a good time. Oh, you're kissing someone's neck Talking to one girl and then while another girl was rubbing on your back and stuff. Oh yeah. Really? You don't remember this? I bit some pieces out. You were surrounded by like Toronto's hottest women. Man. I'm moving to Toronto.

Floyd showed up. What do you think of Floyd? Who do you like better, Richie or Floyd? Oh, you can't. That's hard, man. That's tough. I love Richie. I fucking love that guy. Floyd, he's obviously like so ingrained with this band, though, that it's like, it's hard to like replace that element of just the performance. But man, Richie, Richie short, give him a round of applause. I got to give it up.

Richie, Gerbshire has stepped up to the plate and executed when Floyd, you know, when Floyd last minute tells us he can't do three weeks of the first leg of the tour. Richie said, no, bud, I'll take care of it. I got it. Dude, Richie stepped in, man. And he taught us how to play hockey. Yeah, he did.

Well, I didn't realize how- He wiped the floor with us. He beat the shit out of us at hockey 2k25. So how you feeling? Are you comfortable with the songs? Like are you comfortable with basically the new songs? You're basically like adding Moog to the... Tell people what also you're adding besides saxophone to this band. Yeah well I mean I mean, you know, when you guys said that I was going to be playing keys and stuff, I got really excited because I've got a Moog synthesizer and playing the Korg keyboard as well. And so like adding just more soundscapes and things and doing backup vocals, you know, really just kind of adding that utility man aspect that I've kind of done with all my other bands. So I'm having fun with it, man.

The new songs are great because I feel like I'm, for the most part, learning them in real time as you guys are. So those have been really easy for me to learn.
