Andy Frasco's World Saving Podcast. I'm Andy Frasco.
How's your heads?
How's your minds?
Are you week three in a fucking just whirlwind?
Just a whirlwind.
That's the wrong one.
There it is.
Whirlwind tour.
Holy shit, guys.
This has been unbelievable.
I'm Andy Frasco.
Today we have a very special guest.
Our new guy, Mr. Sam Kelly from Durango,
Colorado, filling in for Ernie Chang. Give it over, Sam Kelly.
How you doing?
What's going on, everybody?
I'm good, man.
So we were talking, you know, you're, we're starting to see the wear and tear.
We're starting to see, you know, when you first came in, you're a chipper.
By week three, the bags in your eyes are coming in the
beards coming in they're wearing me down everybody we said we're taking bets by December you're
gonna start looking like Jesus Christ Sam how is the tour going and how are you feeling about
everything? The things are great man this is This is the best case scenario. Yeah.
I mean that.
You're on the road, get a little funk.
I got a cold, everybody.
That's what's going on right now.
Oh.
Oh.
But other than that, I'm doing great.
Sam, be honest with the fans.
They know, they know.
Help, send help.
They know, they know.
It's not easy just jumping into professional liver
like the Andy Frasco in the U.N. thing. It takes a while.
I saw you yesterday.
We were like, it was day off, we were in Fayetteville,
and we're like, let's just go to Maxine's
and go have a cocktail.
I saw the dead in your eyes.
I saw the dead in your eyes. I saw the fuck.
We're just gonna have a couple cocktails. We're gonna have a couple cocktails. Everything's gonna be fine. And I just saw
the dead in your eyes like, I'll take a soda water.
Hey, how are you feeling? How are you feeling? Is that is our drinking? Is it all? is it a lot of drinking on this tour?
I mean it is, but like not more than like you would expect to be on a tour I guess.
Yeah. Do you think we're as crazy as you? What was your image of this,
of what you're getting yourself into versus now three weeks in, you know who we are?
Give me the pluses and the minuses.
I think, I don't think it's as crazy as maybe I was expecting
or as like literally everybody goes,
oh my God, you're going on tour with Andy Frasco.
It's going to be crazy.
You better get your liver ready, you know.
It's yeah, we're not that crazy.
No, man, you guys are good boys, you're good boys.
Let's go, thanks.
I just made you be on the podcast to give us some clouds No, man, you guys are good boys. They're good boys. Let's go. Thanks, man.
I just made you be on the podcast to give us some clouds that we're good boys.
No, I mean, it hasn't been that crazy. I mean, it's been, you know, like, it's fun.
I mean, we're like, it's anytime you lock up ten dudes in a bus together,
it's just going to be like this no matter who it is, I think, you know?
That's true. That's true.
How... The reaction's been unbelievable.
How do you feel that our fans are reacting towards,
even in the last six months,
it's just been, feels like a night and day,
people are screaming the songs.
It's not just like, here for the party.
It's cool, man.
I mean, especially like these, all the rooms, really.
I mean, it's just like, the new tunes people are singing.. I know that's crazy. For like a month, you see like,
at least the first three rows of people that are like, you know, like they're singing along. It's
like, could you try not to die? And like, that's like everybody's anthem right now.
I know dude, like yeah! Sick man. Like fucking please try not to die, Frasco. Yeah, please don't,
please don't die. But um, no,, it's been yeah, it's been awesome.
I mean, you have big shoes to fill.
Ernie Chang's been in the band for 12 years.
This is intimidating to fill him.
Dude, and it's a huge responsibility
that I'm excited you guys have given me
because yeah, Ernie Chang's the dude.
Everybody loves that guy, you know?
And so every night I'm just hoping to do it justice, you know?
I see sometimes I'll see some random fans say, you're not Asian.
It's true.
I'm not.
Wait, you white as fuck.
You're a little honky ass boy from Colorado.
Look at this pretty boy.
You are making us prettier.
You are making us pretty.
So I'm like, damn, we had to rely on Floyd for his looks forever.
Now it's like, yeah, we got a couple guys now.
Yeah, any proposition to me to join the band,
he's like, oh, and you play the saxophone?
Cool.
All I cared about is if you're hot.
Let's get a bunch of the new guys in here.
Trevor, get over here.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new merch guy, Trevor.
Hey.
Get over here, come on.
Come on, Trevor.
Hey, big old Trev.
Trev, how's it going? Sit right here.
Sit right here.
How you doing?
Move over a little bit.
Trev is our new merch guy. He's from Florida.
Emo Kid at heart.
We're turning him into a Jam fan.
Getting there. Getting there.
How's it going? How's the fans? How's everything going on this tour?
Some of the best fans I've ever met. Really? Oh, getting there. How's it going? How's the fans? How's everything going on this tour? Oh man, some of the best fans I've ever met.
Really?
Oh, by far.
Are you just saying that because it's for the fans, this podcast?
No, I mean, I came from the reggae scene.
Yeah.
Ooh, talk is shit.
We like talking.
Yeah, here we go.
Here we go.
They can be a little intense in the reggae scene.
What, like what?
You're an insider.
They've got very strong opinions about things and they are not shy to let you know how they feel.
Isn't it amazing how nice people are actually really mean people?
By far, yeah. I've met some of the meanest people in the reggae scene.
Really?
But they'll preach some peace to you.
Yeah.
Immediately.
It's a good thing about our scene. We're all friendly and it's not bullshit friendly.
It's authentic. Yeah. It's not
like just a shit talking like once like like that southern
nice or it's like oh bless your heart when they say like you
dumb mother. That's really one. Well as someone from the
south, I've kind of take offense to that. Sorry about
that. But uh the fans been good. Fans been great. What's
the tour's been great.
You feeling good?
This is your first big bus tour too.
This is my first bus tour.
Yeah, I came from like Springer van tours.
So it's a change of pace, but it feels more relaxing even though it's a bigger tour, if
that makes sense.
Right.
Do you think we're partying too much?
No.
No? I was. I prepared for way more partying too much? No. No, I was.
I prepared for way more than that.
Everyone's prepared.
Everyone's prepared like we're fucking just like the craziest dudes.
I was warned. I was warned.
Who was, who warned you?
Every single person I spoke to.
Yeah.
Every single person.
They said, oh, you're going on tour with the Frasco boys?
That's going to be tough. Prepare yourself.
Yeah, we we were when we
found out you're sober like oh fuck he's not gonna last fucking two weeks. Yeah
no this has been the easiest three weeks on the road. Let's fucking go. That's what
I'm talking about. See we're changing people. It's all about the music and you
crowd surfed. How was that feeling? First time in probably 20 years I say I gained
a little weight since last time but the Frasco fans don't let you down
They don't drop you they don't drop you
But I'm glad you're on tour with us. You're you're part of the family now your life for welcome home. That was been great man
Trevor's been great. What do you what do you think your poor car on Trevor's been so far a plus me a plus you're working
You help set up gear you really care about selling merch. Thank you, I appreciate it, man.
Is it something like, I gotta fuck this,
I have to sell fucking t-shirts and shit,
I do actually really love it.
I love it, I get to go to concerts every night for a living.
Like, what is it, it doesn't get better than that.
I know, what do you hate about the job?
I want this podcast.
Yeah, I don't know, man, I don't know.
I don't think I hate anything about it.
I haven't gotten to that point yet.
I'm two years into the merch game.
So I'm still in that honeymoon phase.
Where I think things are still going good.
Maybe, ask me in a year.
We'll see what I got to say.
The honeymoon phase is still in effect with Andy Frasin.
I like having fresh blood here.
I think everything is like,
the environment's happy,
we're all having toes backs,
we're all working extremely hard, no one's jaded.
It feels good to have, it's always good
to have some new blood in there.
You agree?
Oh yeah, absolutely.
Okay, so how has the ladies situation been on,
you know what I mean, you're a single man.
Is there action in the world of Trevor the Merch Man?
Well, that's one thing, the Frasco fans are nice.
Let's go.
Let's go.
They do provide.
Hell yeah.
Thank you guys.
I just want to say thanks for making my merch man,
Trevor, feel love.
So much love, almost too much.
Well get out there, go sell some merch,
and thanks for being on this ride with us.
Absolutely, glad to be here.
Thank you so much for being here.
Tell Florida someone to get out,
tell one of the guys to start bringing them in here.
But yeah, it's been fun.
Trevor's so nice, I mean, we have Walker too.
Get Walker over here, actually, get Walker over here. We got a monitor guy who's might be more redneck than Jason or sound guy.
Which is hard to believe.
He was doing some hippie shit to me yesterday with the sound.
The tuning fork.
The tuning fork in my ears. Putting a tuning fork in my ear
and like putting on people's
knees like, brother, I got you.
I got you brother.
You sit down.
I'm going to ring you out.
So we're making a, it's Red and Neck Productions.
It's our sound company, Jason and Walker.
It's Red and Neck Productions and it's, it is a vibe.
And we're here to tell you.
And Walker's here right now ladies and gentlemen.
Walker, our new monitor guy.
Welcome to the podcast.
Walker, how's it going?
It's going good.
What's going on?
You know, get a little closer.
Oh, we have the mics right?
What's up America?
So what's your report card three weeks in?
Do you hate us yet?
No, just the guy that brought me here is a little pushy, but I've been dealing with him
for about a decade.
Jason, so how long have you guys been fucking at each other's throats?
Pretty much since day one, I guess.
So that'd been about 2010.
Put that mic closer.
Yeah. 2010, we've been about 2010. Put that mic closer. Yeah.
2010, we've been hanging out.
Holy shit.
Yeah.
So what would you want to do if you really had a chance to really do something, Jason?
What would you do?
Oh, you know, I'd honestly just try to get him a bunch of money so he can just hang out
and just, you know, you got to take care of your people.
That's the sweetest fucking thing I've ever heard. You got to do it.
This redneck life didn't choose him.
It didn't.
It didn't.
It didn't.
It's just part of the blood.
It just happens.
So do you think when you're coming into this tour, do you think we're like a bunch of crazy
asses?
Um, I didn't know what to expect.
I knew you guys like to have a good time,
which is kind of my motto in life.
So, you know, you're only gonna do it once,
so just enjoy what you're doing when you're doing it.
Can't wait.
Do you think we're deaf as fuck, as our monitor guy?
Um, you guys like it loud.
You like it loud.
Um, but no, I don't think you're
deaf. No, we just got to get it down. Yeah, good. Once it's
dialed, it's gonna be what are some of the things you think
this bank work on? It's on the stage. Stage volume. I mean, just
listening a little more because once you when you're going for
you guys come out so hard, you guys kind of come out like a I
always thought like
Day one I was like that's an early Jay Giles vibe like you guys just kind of hit it and go for it, right?
so from soundcheck to the actual downbeat the the um, I
Would say it's drastically different on
Dynamics. Oh cuz like we're playing quieter on sound check cause we're hung over and strung out.
Yes. Okay. Absolutely.
Okay, cool.
Respect.
What do you, and then for, for young Padawan over here
is like, I'm going deaf guys.
Honestly, it's gotten better each week.
Maybe I'm just going deaf.
So it's like, you know, no, I'm just kidding.
Like first week, I think it was a little loud.
We're still figuring it out. the last week's run was great
yeah can we explain to because this is the first time anyone's heard about
anything about the Kana detainment where they the dog the little cute-ass oh yeah
so why don't you tell the fans why they smelt you and started barking?
Well Walker, I think the dog saw that I was kind of a dog in me, you know, I'm just a
Fun go lucky dog kind of guy. Oh, and the dog just sat down and looked at me and I thought it was adorable
Then I was like, oh shit
They're gonna
Search your asshole. Yeah, yeah.
They were definitely like, this dog was like, this guy's full of shit, I can see it.
Wasn't it crazy?
Like, it was like, we had the, in Canada, all like the drug dogs are just like friendly
little labs.
Oh my God.
They're sweet.
They're like sweet little puppies.
I'm like, oh my, I just want to pet them.
Like, don't touch the dog.
Yeah.
It's like, oh, it's so cute.
But like, it was so, they did not believe that we weren't smuggling drugs.
They had three dogs.
They had the cute little dog, and they're like, oh, this dog is too...
Then they brought the veteran dog.
They brought the old hound, who probably sniffed a few kilos of cocaine this time.
Like, damn, damn, damn.
But nothing happened. They found a jar of weed, but they let us go. Yeah, they were cool about it.
They thought it was funny. It was like they had this jar of weed in this one
when she's just like, well, we found some weed.
And everybody's like, of course, we found some weed on the bus.
And they're so nice about it.
And then they took a picture of us like we were like in Bad Boys or something.
Yeah, yes. They liked us. They were good people
Toronto took good care of us. I mean I had a good time. Oh, you're kissing someone's neck
Talking to one girl and then while another girl was rubbing on your back and stuff. Oh yeah. Really? You don't remember this? I bit some pieces out. You were
surrounded by like Toronto's hottest women. Man. I'm moving to Toronto.
Yeah. Oh shit. Well I'm glad you're on our team. We love you so much. It's good to be
here. I mean it fell in right away so. You feel like you're on our team. We love you so much. It's good to be here. I mean, it fell in right away, so.
You feel like you're at home?
Yeah, I do.
Because we never had a monitor guy. It's like now our crew's 10 people.
But we love it. So, this is also an intervention.
Okay.
Actually, I have nothing to intervene.
Okay.
You're doing great.
I should...
He got really scared there.
He's like, oh God, I really don't settle down.
Do you think we're drinking a lot?
Um, who cares?
That's what I'm talking about.
Let's go.
Let's go.
We're in a rock band.
This is fucking jazz.
We're not in this jam.
We got expectation.
We're holding here.
Yeah.
No, but we love you.
Thanks for keeping my, you know, I'm the first person I normally yell at, are the monitor.
You want to tell the person, tell the people the first time I yell at you?
I don't think you yelled at me.
You just said my monitor makes sounded like shit and it probably did.
No, I said, look at me.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah.
You're like, I'll tell them the story.
Yeah.
So Andy's like, every time I fucking look over at you, you're not looking at me.
And I was like, I'm doing a bunch of shit.
And he was like, I don't care. Just look at me.
And then Andy was around.
He walked around the whole place, the whole stage, trying to look, make sure I was looking at
looking at the drum set.
I was crouching down.
You were like...
But he says that to everybody in the band, so you know.
I'm such a narcissist, like, pay attention to me!
I know Sean needs attention, but I need attention too!
God damn it.
Hey man, you're driving this shit, we all need to pay attention to you.
Well, we're here for you.
Walker, go, I know you have to go do sound check, but why don't you Walker. Yeah, man. Go um I know we you have to go do soundcheck But uh, why don't you go grab Floyd or Sean?
One of the other and or Andy just grab some of the guys lays on our new monitor guy Walker. Thank you
Let's go way to go
We love you Walker
Go fuck it up out there Wow
Everyone all our new guys are so nice like extremely nice. It's crazy
I will say that like I've been in a lot of bands, you know, hired Gunn for a long time.
Right.
And I don't think I've ever, like, clicked with a group so quickly as in this band.
Really?
You guys are, and like, not that like you put up a front or anything,
but you're like surprisingly extremely all very nice people.
Alright, surprisingly.
Hahaha.
Well, I mean, you guys are doing really cool stuff. You've got like, you know, you play
a ton of shows and I think that like a lot of bands like you were saying can maybe get a little
jaded or something and it's like not the case with this group which is super cool. Kindness
goes a long way. Floyd, get your fucking ass up. I don't give a fuck about that. Get your ass over.
As I said, kindness comes a long way. Ladies and gentlemen, our bass player, he shows up for work with a broken ass bass.
Listen, Floyd Kellogg, everybody.
Floyd.
Right here. So right here.
Just going to put your bass here.
It's broken. Like, what the fuck?
Hi, Floyd.
You can clearly see what I'm dealing with, right?
Yeah.
Here, go over here a little bit.
That is rust. There is like rust and...
Floyd, why? Why did you just take care of your shit?
I'm going to put this on my ambient album.
Yeah, yeah, you produced, yeah, your Ryle O'Kiley cover band record.
Floyd, where the fuck you been?
Uh, Ayahuasca.
You've been doing three weeks. You went to Costa Rica. You didn't take Ayahuasca. You did? No, no, I didn't. No, I didn good. You've been doing three weeks. Yeah. What's it Costa Rica?
You didn't take ayahuasca.
Yeah.
You did?
No, no, I didn't.
No, I didn't.
You're with your family.
Yeah, I took it with my son, my 12-year-old.
Floyd was he came back with long hair and grateful dead.
Brand new perspective.
Like, oh, man, I'm not Indian anymore.
I'm dead.
I'm one of those deadheads, man.
Is that what happens to people?
Yeah, they take ayahuasca and all of a sudden Jerry's God.
Huh, alright.
No, I'm just kidding, I don't know.
People take ayahuasca, like, it's crazy.
Like, I've seen different people, like, either like,
their whole mind state changes and they're like,
out of depression, and then I've seen people go fucking evil.
Really? Like lose it.
Okay.
Okay.
Well, maybe I won't be toying with that.
Floyd, are you still having fun in this band?
Oh yeah.
It's not much of a music band.
No matter what I say, like you're going to, you're going to come up with your own answer.
No, no, no.
I'm an interviewer.
I'm turning my interviewing hat.
I know how this quote interview process goes.
Right?
Floyd, I'm not here to pin you down as someone who never shows up to work, even though you
never show up to work.
But I'm here to tell you, are you still enjoying this band? Yes. You still
like producing this band? Yes. You're alright too. I'm getting pretty good.
I'm maturing. You are maturing like a fine you know joint. What can we do to
improve your how you how you what can we prove to make you want to go to your fucking job?
Like what do you have to like,
I mean what do you need to change?
What do I need to change for you to say,
you know what, I'm actually going to come to Dubuque, Iowa.
Or you know what, I'm actually going to come to,
you know, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Let's see.
Let's see, can we get some shows in like Nepal or something?
That'd be cool. Who do you think we are? This isn't, we aren't fucking Fortet.
Okay. Like we're not explosions in the sky, brother. Why do they, they, they go to Nepal?
Probably. Oh, what am I going to do? Tell me about your show. Okay, we're done here.
Thank you Floyd so much for being on the show.
Oh God, thank you.
So can I get back to the...
Or there's no gig tonight without this.
You've been using my bass.
Right here.
You haven't been using my bass?
You've been using this piece of shit?
No wonder we fucked.
This thing, it looks like a...
Like a...
What do you...
As a graduate... Sure. sure Berkeley School of Music?
What do you think?
show this instrument to
This is what Floyd uses for his base
a man who mastered music
What do you think when someone comes to your gig with something like this, what would you...
Yeah, we'll go through your head.
If you're the band leader, what goes through your head?
I'm going to think two things. It's either like this guy's like just particularly good or...
Uh-oh. Oh no.
Oh no, you're kissing his ass too. God damn it.
Yeah, yeah, it could go either way.
He's very lovable.
We'll fix the fucking bass and let's go. Lay down Floyd Kellogg.
Thank you so much.
Let's get in my case.
It's ooh, this guy knows what he's doing.
OK, OK.
Thank you, Floyd Kellogg.
Thank you.
You're not a driver.
Sean.
Um, wow.
Floyd showed up.
What do you think of Floyd?
Who do you like better, Richie or Floyd?
Oh, you can't. That's hard, man. That's tough. I love Richie. I fucking love that guy.
He's just throwing you under the bus. Week three.
I love Richie, man. Floyd, he's obviously like so ingrained with this band, though, that it's like,
it's hard to like replace that element of just the performance. But man, Richie, Richie short,
give him a round of applause. I got to give it up.
Richie, Gerbshire has stepped up to the plate and executed
when Floyd, you know, when Floyd last minute tells us
he can't do three weeks of the first leg of the tour.
Richie said, no, bud, I'll take care of it.
I got it.
Dude, Richie stepped in, man.
And he taught us how to play hockey.
Yeah, he did.
Well, I didn't realize how-
He wiped the floor with us. He beat the shit out of us at hockey 2k25. So how you feeling? Are you comfortable with the songs? Like are you comfortable with basically the new songs? You're basically like adding Moog to the... Tell people what also you're adding besides saxophone to this band. Yeah well I mean I mean, you know, when you guys said that I was going to be playing keys and
stuff, I got really excited because I've got a Moog synthesizer and playing the Korg keyboard
as well.
And so like adding just more soundscapes and things and doing backup vocals, you know,
really just kind of adding that utility man aspect that I've kind of done with all my
other bands.
So I'm having fun with it, man.
The new songs are great because I feel like I'm,
for the most part, learning them in real time as you guys are. So those have been really easy for
me to learn. It's just all like 80 other songs that I'm on the hook for. Yeah, we had them like,
oh, on a Tuesday, I'll throw a feeling in our bones or something. What the f- I didn't even f-ing
learn that song. Well, it was funny. The other night we learned that Paramore tune. Oh yeah,
still into you. And I just like, just devoured it. Iing learn that song. It was funny, the other night we learned that uh, Paramore tune. Oh yeah, still into you.
And I just like, just devoured it.
I learned it.
And then I was like showing the rest of the guys.
It was the first time I got to actually show the rest of the band how to play something,
which was dope.
Speaking of that, the guitar player of this band has entered the f-ing building.
Sean Echols, wow, with a fruition shirt.
Hot off a sit-in.
Hot off a sit-in off his days off.
Hey now. What's been going on? Well, you know, life's been
lifing folks. Life is good, Andy Frasco.
You're having fun. This is the best tour ever. It's the best
tour ever. It's the best friends ever.
We're having, this is like, we're sounding so, this is the
weird, this is the best sounding we've ever sounded.
There's a lot of love in this band right now.
Oh yeah, we all have each other's backs.
No one's saying that.
This is the first time we've really loved each other.
It's just wow and the necessity of it.
It's like talk about fucking brotherhood, it's fucking dope.
This is brotherhood.
And it's fun as fuck.
For every show we're hanging out.
Where you been? I've been in Jacksonville, Florida. Hanging's fun as fuck. Yeah. For every show we're hanging out. Where you been?
I've been in Jacksonville, Florida.
Where'd you hang out for the last couple days?
Hang out, where'd you see Fruition?
I saw a video.
So Fruition, I didn't tuition.
I totally forgot that.
I totally forgot that you weren't even in Fayetteville
with us on our two days off.
And also I get a text from Fruition
and I see fucking Rock and Roll at course.
Showing up.
With like a F a fruition hat on and
freaking JJ Graham, my first shirt on the king of the
sit in you.
No, move over Trey and a Stasio.
Sean Eccles is now the king.
Sit in with your band right now.
Yeah.
He's just starting his first gig.
Call one 800 sit in for Sean.
Or what key you're in.
But, um, you've been marketer sing LSD.
Let's talk about it.
I've been getting right.
And you know what?
How has that?
It's been crazy for me.
Yeah, it's been a heavy.
I got divorced.
Yeah.
And um, some tough times, man.
Yeah.
And um, had a good friend of mine who's, uh, kind of helped me out life coaching.
And I think we're kind of.
Yeah.
Turn that into a bigger friendship.
Chas Keith, for going you said you saved his
life. God damn. And saved his life. He helped me save my own
life as he would put it. Well, that's an accountable
accountability. And I love myself. Yeah, that's the first
time I've ever known that my whole life. I know. So the
microdosing thing. Hell yeah. So what do you think that helped?
The microdosing LLC helped you like we accept love
Well, it's rewiring my brain seeing what you know, everybody's got trauma. Yeah, I'm gonna shit and identify yourself
It's like what went wrong is what's wrong with you. Guess what? There's nothing wrong with you
Fuck everybody's to go into shit. Let's go. Everybody's got stuff. So I'm a Navy kid. That's why I'm like this
How about I'm a Navy kid and that's why I started like this. I'm a Navy kid. And that's why I
started my first band. That's what I'm gonna fucking band
with you.
And so within that mentality, like she has got me on this guy,
Joe dispense. It's about not anchoring yourself with the
trauma of your past and identifying yourself with
something wrong. Because most people will be like, well, this
traumatic thing happened to me. And that's why. Why? Right? Or this person left me. And that's why it's
like, okay, then for me drugs and alcohol and like, massive
amounts of cocaine was about numbing out. Yeah, we're talking
epic. I'm so I won't scare anybody here. But boy, yeah, you
were. So here we go. To, you were, I couldn't believe it. And I was like, it's gone. I was like, it's gone. And so here we go to where we-
We were worried that if you cold turkey'd it, your heart would eventually explode.
Well, if my heart wasn't going to explode with what I was doing, I don't think it was
going to explode by doing less.
So-
Clap to that.
Here's what-
Clap to that, bro.
So, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love you.
We're taking accountability, like even with the bus.
Yes, well, the thing with all that too is like the awareness of not like let's not feel those feelings my whole life
It's a freshness is suppression and I go and self-sabotage of it
Here I go again fucking up and it's like okay. What are you a human?
What are you life and I saw a buddy guy and got it Keith Richards under like 90s
Yeah, and I smoke and play pool buddy guys like yeah, nothing bad happened to you yet, huh?
Keep living.
I was like, fuck yeah, buddy.
But I got to the point where, and with the help with the life coach and everything,
just kind of this routine, like, okay, instead of bagging it up and denying it,
which is what I was doing, trying to cover it up and numb out, it was like, check it out,
be aware of it, get to know your demons. And then you put them in the backs. Well, you talk about, I mean, trying to cover it up and numb out. It was like, check it out. Be aware to know your
demons. And then you put them in the backs. Well, you talk about
I mean, I talked to you guys about everything. I tell the
truth about everything. Like I'll tell you guys, you guys know
everything that's going on with me. It started. I knew my man
was changing is when we were on the acoustic tour. And I'm
driving the van. I look right and Shawn Echols is reading the
secret.
Law of attraction motherfuckers like attracts like boy.
It's sure it's
even meditating
sit there in the
I do I've been doing that for a long time and I was part of my
routine. Start without the phone without all this anxiety because
you romanticize the future my motherfucker you taste that
future first you live the future and then it just comes at you.
No expectation.
Who is you are not let down. I'm reborn motherfucker.
He's back. I'm reborn, motherfucker. Ah! He's back!
I'm back and better.
It's relational.
I'm gonna cry, dude.
I feel good, and it's every day I do this shit.
A microdose, I wake up, la la la la la, no phone.
Watch this video about romanticizing the future
instead of attaching yourself and anchoring yourself
to all this trauma.
It's what I was doing.
I know.
I mean, like one girl, I fucked up that relationship,
I go fuck up another one, here I go again. Right. And white snake songs really hit, you know, here I go again. I know I mean, like one girl fucked up that relationship and go fuck up another one. Here I go again.
And white snake songs really hit you. Here I go again.
Why?
Damn it again. Fuck you white.
More guitars. Anyways, so it's like that. It's like you just put
that so every day I start with that. My goodness, I stretch my
fucking body out. And then I do some meditation. And then I look
at the phone before you sound happier and you just sound wicked happy. I love Sean Solo. Sean Solo back and you back. I just
bought my new bike. The Millennium Falcon. He's like, he's like, man. He's like, Sean's
like, I don't have any debt right now. I'm going to buy a e-bike. Guess who has dead again? Look at me, look at me.
Let's swipe it.
Well we love it.
How are you feeling about the camaraderie of the band?
I think everything that I'm feeling for myself is all in line with this band too.
Sam Thomas Kelly.
He's killing it.
Son of Tony and Tom.
Met Franny. Sam is fucking killing it.
Luis. His aunt's aunties in Philly. of Tony and Tom but Franny Sam is fucking killing it the we's yeah his
aunt's aunties in Philly I kind of terrified them because he told me no
they're on stage right I was like yeah which one of you which one of you's
ready yeah I got so the camaraderie I mean we're all hanging out it feels
really good we got fucking Walker, Texas Ranger.
Walker.
Michael.
Thomas Walker.
Yeah.
We got Trev Dogg.
Trevor, Anthony, Brandon.
Three first names.
Three first names.
I know we don't like three first names, Trevor.
I'm going to be honest with you.
They're kind of scary.
You're changing my outlook on people with three first names.
So.
I love this guy.
Shout out.
Love you, man.
He's awesome.
Dude, it was so funny.
And then, Mel, dude, the best video at the end of the tour.
Marlo.
I saw it, I just saw it.
There's a big old bumper on my nose.
Did you see that?
Fuck me.
I haven't quit completely, but I'm not doing the big thing.
No, I'm not quitting for a while, but.
No, it was just ice cream.
Did you see it?
Yeah, we thought it was a cake.
Oh my God, yeah, because I don't do blow anymore.
I thought it was a big rib. No, I did too. And then. I was like, it was a cake. Oh my God, yeah, because I don't do blow anymore. I thought it was a big rim.
No, I did too.
And then.
I was like, it's a boomerang, too.
So I was just like, really making it over and over again.
I thought it was Coke.
I'm like, dude, you have Coke on your nose.
It's like, when I realized.
Then I saw Marlo.
I put my face in the cake.
Then I saw Marlo.
And you were talking to Marlo.
And I guess you were just spitting out cake
all over her t-shirt.
Good.
She like, walked out.
Like, she just like, went through World War III. Well, she had talked to me. Just like, cake. It's like walked out like she just like went through World War III.
She had talked to me.
It was like cake.
Talking.
I just talked to Sean for 10 minutes
and there's cake all over her shirt.
Marlo talked to me for 10 minutes.
That was kind of like World War III.
Sorry.
Everything's fine.
Sorry Marlo.
Well that was a super endearing moment.
They got us ice cream cake.
Marlo.
Marlo.
And a tour.
What's her middle name?
Damn it.
I had her name. Marlo Schenck. What's her middle name? Damn it. I had her name. Marlo Schenk.
What's her middle name?
Schenkweiler.
Schenkweiler.
Oh, that is it?
I was like, you need to have some guitar girls come out.
Oh, she's super cute.
Schenkweilers.
She's a bad motherfucker.
She's, yes, I love.
Ronald.
Ronald's my homie.
Oh man, Ronald's buff, dude.
Ron.com, baby.
Ron.com is buff.
Leads singer of Melt.
Her fromer.
I had her name too.
But it's been great.
The openers have been awesome.
Mahali, amazing.
That was the best week with him.
I love all those guys.
I love their whole crew.
He can almost convince me to buy a watch
and put it on my credit card
because I'm out of debt too.
So I was like,
You're out?
I'm out, I'm out.
Okay, I need to talk to my financial advisor,
Andrew Frasco.
I'll help you.
To get out of this new hole.
I got you, I know.
I knew he was coming.
I'm like, fuck, he just keeps on buying shit. He keeps
on buying shit.
So I've been like, crisis, if you're having a good time, what's up?
And then Mel was great. And now we have our boy Chris Lager on this run. And then we have
Haley Jane for the last one. So we have, when this comes out, we have one more week of shows.
And then, and then we go to 311.
311! I forgot about that.. What's the color of your energy?
It's amber. Amber of course. I'm pre amber. He's a big fan. Got the first tattoo.
311 tattoo. Did you get a new tattoo I saw? Yeah sure did. What does that say? It says half of award.
I love it. The other half. Yeah. Oh my God. Tattoos are fun with friends.

I've just been enjoying this tour so much.
Like, ah, fuck, I don't need to interview anyone.
He's back trading stocks and he's like, what the fuck?
He's like, come on, let me get on the mic.
I'm like, no, I'm just gonna take a couple weeks off.
Boy, is he gonna be on fire when he gets a mic in his hand.
I probably won't get one word in.
I will not get one word in.
I'm trying to do all my promotion now.
Indianapolis, March 20th, Chicago 21st,
and Madison the 22nd. All those shows are kind of almost sold out. Besides mean, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie.

I've been texting with him.
You know that Tim Mahoney from 311,
he mentions on this video that Mahoney sent me
that he goes, who are some of your favorite guitar players?
And I love Tim Mahoney from 311, he goes,
this guy Mahoney's really great.
So Tim Mahoney from 311 celebrates Mahoney.
I love him.
One of his favorite guitar players.
One of his favorite guitar players.
Successful.
There we go. All our boys are fucking thriving. I love it. That gets me going. Shout out to Mahali. I love it. One of his favorite shows. One of his favorite shows. Successful. There we go.
All our boys are fucking thriving.

Shout out to Mahali.
I fucking love Mahali so much.
And then, yeah, Haley Jane's on the next one.
They rock.
And then, let me just promote these shows just in case.
Pawtucket, I don't know where the fuck that is.
Pawtucket, it's Rhode Island.
It's my home state of Rhode Island.
Really?
It was born in Newport.
Oh shit, this is like a hometown show?
It's kind of, I mean I haven't been there in a long time. It's 1970. Well come and see the prodigal boy.
What took it? Nothing. Okay. Brooksville, Florida with Pidge's playing ping pong on the 11th.
And April 18th. I guess we could promote this.
We have Sweetwater is making us a beer called Blame It On The Pilsner.
Let's go!
Shake this hand.
I'm not this idea.
I'm an idea man.
What's it called?
Blame It On The Pilsner.
That's it.
It's a dream of mine.
It's a dream of mine.
Let's go.
We got it.
Listen, 2025 is the year.
Yep.

You'll get a royalty check because that is your idea. Let's go boys. You'll get a royalty check, uh, uh, cause that is your idea.
Let's go.
We'll get you out of dead note time, baby.
You know what?
Let's just sell some brews.
Um, before we break-
Fuck yeah, Andy Fresco!
Nice work, buddy.
Um, blame it on the Pilsner.
It's great.
Come on!
Sweetwater Brew.
Buy it.
We're going to be playing Sweetwater or 420 Fest.
And then, um, and then when we just got confirmed to play Copper Mountain, Colorado on the 26
April 26 short story about Copper Mountain.
Yes, he doesn't tune with speakeasy my first time snowboarding I broke my wrist on tour
on.
Oh, wow.
Can we go back and kick it?
We don't snowboard anymore.
It was well fucking a so watch Sean not hopefully break his wrists at the Copper Mountain. That's Defying Rock and Roll. Here we go.
Sean, so through this, so the last thing before we bring Andy Beats in,
because that's going to be a whole different conversation than Finding Yourself.
Heard you.
Why?
We'll have him explain. What, through this months of growth and finding yourself,
what have you learned about yourself that you love?
I'm a good person, man.
I got juice and my intentions are real good.
I have friends all over the world, man.
We sing songs about what I'm going through every night.
As I said on the mic the other day,
I was like, I'm so grateful for our fans.
I see them, they go through this shit emotionally too.
I said, like, these songs, they move me every night.
And I can see myself now.
It's like I love myself for being
a very excitable
and friendly person. So I love that about myself.
And all these songs, we are so sweet
and everything, and we play Blame It on the Pussy.
What fun is this?
We do it all, people! You get ahold of everything on French. everything and we play blaming on the pussy what fun is this tickets are going on a cry you want to laugh you want to smile come out come
finish off this tour strong everything's been sold out cry and see your pants at That's that this isn't green. See that coming. That's crazy.
Did you hear that?
I think I remember hearing someone shat themselves at the fucking green.
It's got to be a hot surprise.
Doesn't have more often.
Well, I'm surprised more people haven't shat themselves at our show.
Nobody said nobody's talking about it.
Well, they're not talking about just like, yo, it was me.
A lot of whiskey drinking at these shows.
I mean, someone had to poop the pants.
Well, if you're knocking, then maybe check anyways. Yo, it's me a lot of whiskey drinking at these shows. I mean someone had to poop the pants
Thanks for fucking caring about this band things about your fucking self, I love you
Thank you so much. I love my boys
There we go bring them in love you buddy love you Wow
What a fucking episode this is the whole band whole family in here. It's love
Fucking goddamn family. It's love and we're at George's majestic where it all started the first venue ever that we ever sold out a venue That's incredible over a like 800 cap like here in Arkansas here in Arkansas 12 years ago
Yeah, first ever sellout was George's majestic. That's so cool, man. I mean, this is a cool room.
We're in the front room right now.
It's got so much history.
Yeah.
But we're playing in the big room in the back.
I talked to some college kids yesterday,
and I told them, buckle up,
because it's probably going to take you 15 years
to make it into this music industry.
Because it didn't take me about 13
before I started making money.
And then I'm like, well, and then it starts,
like, it was cool talking to college kids, because you don't want to like, college kids now don't
drink don't party really.
Yeah, it's like this whole new kind of generation of folks are that's yeah, they're doing mushrooms
and right. That's it. Ketamine. I don't know. Yeah, they're doing something. Or not, because
I was like having talking to college kids and I can I get a diet coke and they're eating pizza and I was like I'm like
fuck I'm old dude I'm 37 remember going in here it's black I told him I'm like I
used to black out here this is absolutely black out here and they're
like oh my god gross I was like oh yeah probably shouldn't say that to 20 year olds. I used to sneak in here and just get beers.
And but it taught me that that venues are just as important.
These independent venues are keeping like we've slept on these.
We slept on these benches.
We've slept. They let us sleep anywhere in this place.
And how important the bands are, but the venues,
these independent venues, they're just as important
to your local communities.
Crucial, man.
I mean, like, here we are.
It's a Wednesday, and we're playing
this amazing venue right now.
That's like crucial to this week.
We're on tour.
It's like so helpful.
Unbelievable.
But yeah, it's fun.
We love it. And we just can't wait for it.
Any shows are you looking forward to on this tour?
You know, next weekend, I finally get to hang out with my girlfriend for the past couple
of months.
Whoa!
There we go, that'll be cool.
Hold on, where is she flying into?
Well, she's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin right now.
Is she pissed at you yet?
No, surprisingly not.
I'll clap to that, that's a fucking win.
Totally.
That is a fucking win.
It's the longest I've been on tour
and the longest I haven't had a girlfriend at.
No, I'm just kidding.
We knew we were doing really well.
Well, you're a good boy.
I mean, we're having you stay up a little longer sometimes
with the drinking, go to the bars.
Love that shit.
But we're leaving each city at 2 a.m.
Yeah.
Sometimes we'll keep drinking until 5 a.m. Yeah. Sometimes we'll keep drinking
until 5 a.m. But that bar never closes. Bar never closes. Yeah. But we're not doing blow.
And that's the most important thing. So. Get this to sleep. You're doing the thing, man.
You're doing it right. We're getting sleep. I've, this is the most interesting. Here he
is. Oh boy. Here he is. Big Papa. They call him Tony Soprano.
The man, the myth, the legend, Andy Avila is in the building.
Sit right here, buddy.
Give it up for Andy Avila.
Hey buddy.
Yes.
I was asleep.
Speaking of sleeping.
How we doing?
I'm great.
I just take a little nap.
Yeah?
You know, we came into Fayetteville, went out to dinner.
Kind of strong and heavy. Went to Maxine's, started ripping it up a little nap. Yeah, you know, we came into Fayetteville Strong and heavy went to Maxine started ripping it up a little bit
I'm honest. They'd up a little late last night
How you feel about the tour beats it's great
Everyone's it's fucking awesome. We do sleep a lot. We don't don't I was sleeping right now. I mean, yeah, I'm sleep
It's good. The tour the tour is great
The fans are fucking meeting the fans before the show is the best it is the VIP I mean, I grab your VIP experience your VIPs. They're not that expensive. No, it's a hangout with us, right? Um,
They're great meeting the fans is cool. I love I love hanging out before the show
It really like boost the morale of the show, right?
Yeah, seeing the little kids too and they're bringing these little gifts for us I love hanging out before the show. It really like boosts the morale of the show.
Seeing the little kids too,
and they're bringing these little gifts for us.
And then we get on stage and we're like,
then they're in the front.
There's a lot more kids recently.
I know, dude, I think we're changing,
I'm not talking about pussy and ketamine and coke
so much anymore.
There's that, and I think our fans
that were coming to see us 10 years ago, we're fucking.
Yeah!
I love to hear it, I love to hear it.
I love to hear it.
Someone's not getting mad out there, Big Dog.
Someone's not getting mad.
That's the insight right there.
And now they're bringing their children to the show.
I love it.
Yeah, I can't believe, I mean, it really is.
It's like how much like gifts and things
that people bring to you guys every show.
Yeah.
You have a super dedicated fan base.
Man.
It's wild to see.
It's so cool. And they're so, yeah, and they got her back.
And like, we don't have a radio hit.
I mean, our biggest song is maybe Dance Around My Grave.
Big song.
They've been singing the shit out of that, everyone.
I looked at those numbers, 10 million views on that.
It's a lot.
10 million listens just on Spotify.
Yeah, that's incredible.
But they're singing every song now.
Even the B-side songs.
B-sides.
Everything Bagel's getting fucking big.
Oh, I mean, yeah, I mean, you're killing that fucking...
Beats is singing everything Bagel.
Logan's part from Article Sound says...
Coming for you, Logan.
Yeah, he's coming.
It's like very Lawrence vibes when me and you sing it,
like incestual, like, you know, like Lawrence and...
Incestual.
It's so weird when Lawrence,
I gotta say that.
When Lawrence is singing,
when Lawrence, the band Lawrence is singing,
and it's brother and sister singing these love songs,
I just like think about them like possibly having sex
with each other.
Do not think about that.
That is disgusting.
But it's like the same thing,
it's like Beats and I were singing this horrible song
and I'm like looking into his eyes
I'm like, whoa, I never felt these feelings for beats
That's more gay feelings. I'm gonna bring like a squirt bottle. Just like
We went to a gay bar in Detroit remember that oh, yeah, and I was like and like me and Floyd were the first ones
There and we're like, well, this is our moment
This is this is could be that we could just hold on we walk in it's like like big pridey were the first ones there, and we're like, well, this is our moment. This is, this is completely, we could just hold on.
We walk in, it's like, like big pride flag on the wall.
We're like, yeah.
It was like a black gay bar and we rolled in there,
like the only white people.
Yeah.
And they're like, looked at us like a fucking snack.
They're like, where'd them hot white boys go?
What did the guy say to you when you first walked in?
Oh, the bouncer was hitting on me hard.
He's like, what brings you in handsome?
I play the saxophone. I was telling Eddie, it's like, well there's only one or two ways we're going to get free drinks out for the show. We go to the bar where our fans are at, we're going to
the gay bar. Yeah, if we go to the bar where our fans are at, we're going to take photos for three
fours to hang. So we went to the gay bar. Hey, shout out to the gay bar. So shout out. Shout out to the gay bar. Shout out to the gays of Detroit. Whoa, Chris Lager!
Get in here! Come on in.
Our opener.
Our co-headliner.
Before we, hold on, hold on.
Chris, get in here.
Before we end this camaraderie,
how do you feel this tour has been different
than all the rest?
I think, and I think it has to do with,
everyone in the band has been going through their own personal stuff and we're growing as individuals
Yeah, like as well as a group. So when that happens, like I feel like
The group as a whole once we all figured out our shit
Yeah
And we're and we're being better people and becoming better people and meeting better people, like meeting the fans,
the morale of that as a group is making us play better,
it's making us get along better.
Sam has been really great in jumping in
to a crazy group of guys like us,
and he's nice as fuck, and he doesn't fucking say shit,
he just does his job.
He shut the fuck up like a good fucking sax player,
shut the fuck up! a good fucking sax player. Shut the fuck up.
And bringing someone like that in to take the place
of someone big like Ernie that was in our band forever.
Big shoes.
Is a hard thing to do and I think it just fit right in.
And we're just, the bus is just rolling on baby.
Well, keep on rolling baby.
That's right.
Andy Beats, I love you, brother.
Our bond is getting bigger and bigger, stronger and stronger.
Tortilla Boy for life.
Tortilla Boy.
Ladies and gentlemen, last up on the plate, Chris Lagerd, first day hot on this tour.
You've been waiting for this.
You know, I've been excited.
You've been waiting.
You're like, what's up, man? I'm Sam.
So, Sam's a new sax player.. Chris Logger, been my friend, God, what, 12 years now?
At least.
How'd you two meet?
What's the love story here?
He was my favorite songwriter as a kid and I convinced him somehow to let me record some
of his songs.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh wow.
His mom used to play our songs when he was still
in the womb, I think.
Yeah, it was 1953, and my mom was like,
have you heard of this guy, Chris Lager?
Yeah, we've been stealing from each other ever since.
We've been ripping each other off ever since, brother.
One of my favorite conversations we've ever had is like,
oh, it was probably seven, eight years ago or something when we got up on the phone
and I'm like, what are you up to?
And you're like, man, I'm making blah, blah, blah.
You know, I got this big old guarantee
you're all bragging about it.
And I was like, man, if you play Sunny Day Soldier,
you owe me 200 bucks.
And then you responded, well, if you do a frasco freakout,
you owe me a hundred.
I was like, touche. And then you responded well if you do a frasco freakout you owe me 100 Yeah, we are we are
Kindred spirits my boy and you're on the tour and this is the first first real tour
We have done together in a long time probably since I was playing in the band
I know fucking and we're all in like all you were going to Omaha your hometown
Yeah, we're going to Cedar Rapids, where we first started playing together.
This is like the reunion tour.
Yeah, yeah, I feel that way.
So grab some tickets.
How's it been?
How you doing?
You feeling good?
You know, um...
Yeah, Trio, what's the band like this week?
I got a five piece band,
so it's drums and percussionists.
You better tell, hey Bo, we brought five people.
I thought it was a trio, we brought five people here.
You gave me the Trio budget. I'm Andy. I did, we brought five people here. You gave me the trio budget.
I'm Andy.
I gave you the trio budget.
Well I did, there's, anyway, keep talking.
Oh my gosh.
Oh it's going to be fun, I love you too.
We're back in Georgia too.
Right?
I know Fayetteville is a special place.
I know.
Like I got, I mean, I remember we used to take days off in Fayetteville.
Oh, you would take me? Just hang. Oh, and just black out. Oh yeah. I can't remember what happened.
We tried to do that yesterday and I realized, you know that moment where like, you realize you're
old, like there's like 21 year olds at a bar and I'm like 37 saying, I'll take fucking six shots
of Jameson and people look at you like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We've reached that threshold.
I'm 42, bro.
So I got three kids.
So it hits me hard when I see like babies, baby humans.
It's week four of our tour going in.
So we will be not getting too crazy.
I also need to see you.
So I need to hang out with you.
We're going to have some quality time.
And we should take a, do a goal.
Let's try to write a song.
You're teasing me.
I'm not, let's do it.
Here we go.
Oh yeah.
Quality time.
I love it.
Let's get the band back together.
Exactly, yeah.
And then we'll figure out, you guys,
we'll play songs of yours, you know the drill.
Yeah, yeah. You tell me when. You know the drill. Yeah, yeah.
You tell me when.
I know.
Tell you to jump, you better fucking jump, okay?
One hour before the show.
I put my fucking neck on the line for you, Chris Log.
No, I'm just kidding.
That's your superpower.
That's what I've figured out, hanging out with you,
is getting everybody in the room lit up in the moment.
Present, whether you're on the bandstand,
whether you're at the venue, man.
You do it too, I learned it from you.
You know, we have different techniques.
Oh yeah, you're a little more mellow with it.
You're a little more like, hey y'all, how you doing?
This is the songs, the love songs.
Let me play the piano a little bit.
Yeah, I know.
Let me get out there.
No.
You should tell the fans about this Jam Cruise thing.
Did we talk about this with the fans? I don't think we did.
Oh my God.
I don't want to talk about it.
We're past it.
Are we past it?
Are we really past it or are you still
fucking thinking about it?
You'll remind me.
You won't let me forget.
Was this like you guys woke up and it was like a threesome
but there's like you two. I and it was like a threesome, but it was like you two.
I was trying to do like this thing,
but it totally didn't come out right.
I'm like, oh, let's get some people who weren't on the bill
for Jam Cruise.
It was Chris Lager, I was trying to be like,
I'm trying to wing him into it, but I did in a way like,
oh, here's another fan, here's a privilege.
It's a privilege to sit in.
You are softening this up so hard.
Shut the fuck up!
No way!
Go!
I'm sorry.
Someone, Floyd, dig up the recording of Jam Cruise.
Dig up the recording of Frasco.
What's up, brother?
Frasco's kind of acting like he wanted to do it
on the podcast today.
He gave me a nice introduction on Jam Cruise.
I did.
Bro hit me so hard with that fan shit.
We're going to bring up a fan of ours.
So then from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The aftermath was the whole time on the rest of the boat,
everybody was like, how did it feel, buddy?
You know?
I was like, fuck Frasco.
It's like a Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Fuck Frasco.
It's like a Make-A-Wish Foundation.
It's like, man, fuck Frasco.
He's talking shit because nobody knows me.
I'm not famous enough for him to be nice to.
Ah!
This is great.
Ah!
Well, I thought horrible.
You're on the tour.
So that was after I got bumped on two other shows.
Which ones?
You were like, hey, we're going to get you up.
We're going to get you up.
So you know, Bo primes me, gets me in place.
Oh, yeah.
Two shows go by, you don't call my ass up.
Well, the problem is, the problem is, these Jam Cruises,
how many students do we have this year?
At least 47.
Oh, I'm sure.
Yeah.
It's fucking gone.
I'm sure.
I mean, it was a lot.
I didn't take it personally.
I was like, you know.
You did take it personally.
After that.
Oh my god.
I'm sorry.
I can't keep. I think about it, I do get nightmares.
Cause like every time you call me, I just think about that jam cruise moment.
I'm like, oh fuck, I'm sorry.
I really am.
I'm genuinely genuinely didn't mean it like that.
And then like it was funny as shit because I was going to talk shit on the mic.
I was like, oh, I'm talking shit on the mic.
And then as soon as I did beats had your back and he threw some more shots at me.
Like it was like, well, I'm getting, I'm getting shot.
It was great.
You go, if you go after the king, you better fucking, you better punch hard.
Kudos to Beats. He had your back hard.
This is good. This is, I feel like there's tension being relieved here.
Oh no. This is good.
It's fun.
This tour's been a long time coming and you always, you know, it's like, it's just like,
I wasn't popular enough to like take, to like,
here we go again.
But like, I didn't have the opportunity now
to like take my friends out on tour.
I had to like fucking say, oh, this band sells 300 tickets.
This band sells 400 tickets.
We got to get them on so we could play these big rooms.
Now I could say like, want fucking lager you draw
But you know what I'm saying like I mean more of like a family thing
No, I you know, I know my drawing powers
No, I feel very fortunate. I really do.
I feel horrible.
You are lifting me up with your success.
You're never going to let that down.
Shut the fuck up.
Shut the fuck up.
You're never going to let this one down.
You're never going to let it down, Christopher.
No, we're going to have some fun.
I can't wait.
Well, we should really write a song.
I would love to.
So what's your plan?
Do you guys, are you staying in town each night?
We got to get back after Kansas City.
Back to Omaha.
That's your kids. Whatever you, are you staying in town each night? We got to get back after Kansas City, back to Omaha.
That's your kids.
Whatever you know, it's for Joe.
Joe, bass player's guy.
New band?
Who's this?
I got, you know, all the guys have been on the roster for years, but I got Danny.
He's the newest guy on drums.
And then I also have Pujado.
I got a percussionist.
Great percussionist. You put a percussionist, I got a percussionist. Great.
Percussionist.
You put a percussionist, you got a percussionist as the opening. The opening, you're like,
yeah, fuck it, you know. I'm going to put all my gear in front and I'm going to have
this fucking 10 piece percussion set now.
Oh, it's, it's, it's...
You know, I deserve this. Whatever you want. Yeah, go ahead. Fuck yeah.
Bass man, keys man.
Alex.
Alex and Joe.
Cool.
So maybe we should just keep the percussion up so we can do some like double drum stuff.
You won't regret it.
Cool.
He's...
Well, and then we can have like three drummers doing...
We can do that drum thing we do.
Yeah.
Sweet.
All right.
Cool.
And then we'll keep your amp up.
Maybe we should like kind of share something like bass amp or something. Whatever you want. We're down for whatever.
I mean we'll talk about it. We're just...
I figured we'd figure it out.
Alright cool. The whole band's happy.
You're in an anomaly right now.
This is like your... this is the first time we're not strung out.
We're not tired. We're happy. We're sleeping.
You're going to catch us on Good Week.
I love it. I love it. I always get bummed out when I run across you
and you're burned out.
Yeah.
Because you know, you work too hard.
You work too hard.
You work too hard.
He's still doing that, but he's getting me straight.
I love it.
So any, how would you like, how would you like this,
any advice for the people?
I know it's the end of this,
it's the end of this podcast right now. What kind of advice can you give people to have a great week to not worry about what's going on in their personal life?
and
Just have some fun
I recommended Stan Stan hydrated
and
Breathing breathing deep breaths Sean's been doing that. Stretching.
Yeah, yoga, meditating.
I really believe in all that.
And then also, you know, go see a live band.
They'll see some live music.
Get off the couch.
Get off the fucking couch.
Go hang out with some friends you've been putting off calling.
You know?
Reach out.
Yeah.
It's, there's so much.
This is, I haven't felt this tension since, you know,
in probably like six, seven years.
It's been a minute.
It's like people are tight.
People are wound up.
2006 recession.
Remember that one, that was when we first, or seven.
That was when I first met you.
Yeah, and we were burning CDs
because we couldn't even print.
You couldn't even afford to print CDs.
So we were just like earning them and giving away.
And yeah, just doing whatever to, yeah.
2006, 2009 was like that too.
Yeah, 2009 was kind of scary too.
That's what I was saying, like do it all.
You said it.
I know we're going to tighten up.
I know we're going to live in fear.
Don't forget what makes you happy.
And if it's music, if it's friendship,
it's adding a percussion player to an opening set,
whatever you want. You're going to love this guy. Michael Pujato. Pujato. He's a genius. Yeah.
Well, he can't wait. All right, Chris. Love you. Let's go have some fun. Love you.
Love you. And yeah, same to you, man. You ran a rock. Another two more weeks? Let's do this thing, man.
Fuck yeah.
Burn it down.
Burn this bitch down.
All right.
Goodbye.
