all right hey guys this is an emergency podcast um you know no interview just me
this um just finding out that uh oh fuck kobe fuck, Kobe Bryant died, my hero, you know, I'm not really a
crier or nothing, I'm, I suppress my feelings a lot, um, but, man, this one fucking hurt me. I'm hurt very much.
Kobe meant so much to me.
Just as a person, as a fucking determination,
he was the guy.
He taught me everything I needed to know about life, about hard work and work ethic and being a leader.
I found out about this news literally like 20 minutes before I had to play a show.
and I didn't really sink in until I got on stage,
and I gave it my heart, and I, it's just Kobe meant so much to me.
I know, it's sad, man.
His kid was in there, and just, he was such a good guy he cared about his family he cared about
everybody and you know what what can we learn from this you know what can we learn
don't take life for granted you know life is, and, um, that's the beauty of it, because we're still
alive, you know, don't go on fucking helicopters, oh, fuck, man, small planes, fuck all that, dude,
it's not worth it, we got this, life is important, so, um, I don't know how long this is, or, I just want to say I love
everybody, and don't worry, I'm not going to, like, go do something stupid or anything, I'm just sad,
and, you know, it's really affected me, and, you know, i'm normally an optimistic guy and uh you know sometimes
life doesn't care about your plans sometimes life does what it's supposed to do you know
and uh take away the people that matter so we remember them and we don't take for granted their beauty.
So sorry for you, Vanessa.
And I'm sorry for Laker Nation and just anyone who had to deal with the death.
You know, death hasn't really hit me that hard before like this one.
I don't know why.
You know, it's fucked up because, you know, I've had family members die,
and it hasn't hit me as much as this one has.
So just, you know, don't be afraid to tell people you love them.
Don't be afraid to let people know how you feel.
Don't suppress feelings.
Like, let's just be authentic, you know?
Like, it's important, you know?
Oh, fuck.
I held it.
I didn't cry on stage.
Well, that's good.
I didn't cry on stage.
Oh, but I was about to.
Yeah, I felt it was hard, man.
Man, death is hard.
So rest in peace, Kobe.
I will fucking carry your legacy forever.
And I will fucking, everything you taught me,
I will fucking put it into fruition, you know?
I'm going to do it, because you deserve it, and, um,
you, yeah, everything, all right, guys, tell your family you love them, you know, even if you're
pissed at them, you know, it's, because you'll regret it when they're gone, you know, life is short,
when they're gone, you know?
Life is short.
And sometimes life is shorter for others.
So, you know, don't be so hard on people.
Yeah.
Go Lakers.
I hope you win a championship this year.
Ugh, fuck.
Yeah, do it for Kobe. LeBron, do it for Kobe, everybody, oh, fuck, all right, guys,
I love you, maybe this is a opening segment for a podcast, I don't know, we'll let the producer
decide, but I love you guys, you mean the world to me, and, um, if I, if I don't tell you that
enough, I, I'm sorry, because you've helped me keep going, you helped my career to keep blossoming,
and, um, I just want to, uh, you know, I just want to say thank you so much for always having my back, you
know, you know, I feel so bad for people who are misunderstood, man, don't be afraid to
tell people how you feel, it's important, because you never know when it's, you can't
anymore, you know, I wish I could have told Kobe how I felt, because he can't, you know,
I know it's sports, I know how fucking you're at, I'm like, I, you know, I know it's sports, I know I'm fucking,
you're at, I'm like, Andy, you're at ridiculous sports, but, like, he really meant something to me,
all right, I'm gonna go back to the party, uh, widespread panic party, and I'm gonna fucking
saddle up, and I'm gonna live life, because, you know know we don't know when it's our turn so
I hope you guys do the same I love you guys I'm thinking of you always and let's just fucking
live in the moment don't worry about tomorrow don't worry about yesterday just worry about now
because yeah you never know when it's your turn to leave. So I love you. I'll see you next week.
And, um, yeah, love you guys. Now tonight, Minnesota Timberwolves are in town. That means
you and the Lakers got some youth of their own, haven't they? Oh, they've got some real youth.
When you're talking about young, you have to talk about Kobe Bryant. He's expected to play tonight.
And if he does, he'll become the youngest player in NBA history. He'll be 18 years and two months.
That's quite young, but he is quite a talent, and I am very anxious to see him perform in the regular season.
And they do.
No, knocked away. Stolen by Parker.
Oh, there it is.
Here comes George to Kobe Bryant.
Bryant inside. It's good. It's good.
Point game.
Welcome to Tippett. Bryant with the save.
Oh, you've got to get a shot here.
Final seconds. Bryant for the win! Bang!
Wade is guarding Brian.
Artest looking, gets it to Brian.
Brian dribbling, has to put it up with the buzzer.
Banks it in!
Ha-ha!
He banks in the three!
And the Lakers win the game!
Fischer's in the game. Walton, O'Neal, and of course Bryant.
And everyone is paying attention to Kobe Bryant.
They start with Shaq, he gives it to Walton, here comes Kobe.
Less than five, from way outside, got it!
Oh man!
With 2.1!
Remarkable stuff, ladies and gentlemen. 67 points, Kobe Bryant. Three and a half, yes! Well, there's 70.
70 points for Kobe. Kobe guarded by Moe Peterson.
Kobe pump fake for Cole.
Kobe's got the Laker record.
I'm so sorry I can't be with you tonight.
However, I couldn't completely miss the chance
to take a moment to share some thoughts with all of you.
The lesson I cherish the most
is how important it is to love what you do.
If you love what you do and it's making you happy, all the hard work and perseverance
will pay off.
I once had a guidance counselor tell me that I shouldn't play basketball, that it would
never amount to anything for me.
His negativity towards me made me stronger.
You can't stop people from trying to limit your dreams,
but you can stop it from becoming a reality. Your dreams are up to you. I encourage you to always be curious, always seek out things you love, and always work hard once you find it.
So with that, I'll let you carry on with your evening. Please know I'm thinking of you,
supporting you, and encouraging you always. Peace.
