Dave, Dave's side was portrayed very well. I'm not there. People have not seen my side because I hit it.
Starting point is 00:01:10 OK. What the fuck is she talking about? What? I haven't seen that. I actually haven't seen that. You haven't? No, I haven't seen that. You're fired up right now.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Are you ready for a job? Oh my god. Yeah. Do you know what? The thing that actually pissed me off by now is a fact. Welcome aboard another brand spanking new C-Rad interview. I'm Dylan, settle that next one real Nick Listevin. Oho, a matey. Pappers podcast over there behind my glasses.
Starting point is 00:01:57 I'm always nervous when we throw the word C-Rad around when it's someone that's sitting next to me that can punch me. He does have a six pack. And we are referring to the guest in studio. The heartbreak kid himself, chef. David. Thanks guys. Dangerous Dave. Dangerous Dave, here we go.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Thank you so much for having me. Thank you for coming in. Thanks for coming in. Super stoked. So we need to get some high schoolwinder addresses, Seerat thing. I agree. It always makes me a little nervous too, but two things. We have to keep the same frame when we come in there.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Otherwise, we'll look weak to our audience. Right. And I do put chefs, especially when they're not Ryan, in a different category than the Seerat. He's a talented, talented individual who's built a career for himself. It's not the same. Okay, well, there are all sea rats to me, no offense. But, so we have a lot of stuff to get into this evening.
Starting point is 00:02:51 We need to talk about food. We need to talk about, you know, text messages. We need to talk about how you get drunk and hang in the door jam the way that you do. But we start every interview off with a really, really bad boring question. And it is going to be Pat's responsibility to ask. I think some people find it fascinating this question. No, nobody does, but it's a good way to kind of temper the guests. All right, but we've gotten some a myriad of answers.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Some have been long time deckeys and then others have said, I actually, I went out and campaign campaign for myself to be on the show I never knew that people were doing that. Oh by the way me and Dave are both slowly killing ourselves with vaporizers. What flame you got there Dave? Apple and Apple and Hello, okay mine is that's so funny because I have a lot to its alo mango melon ice so What's going on with that?
Starting point is 00:03:44 It would put in a shot. It would put in a shot. Yeah, let's get it. I have so many questions every day. Okay, go ahead. I'm gonna start out with the fuck. Oh really? Just see me do.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Oh, what the fuck? Okay. Well, I'm gonna start out with softball, but I'm gonna get into it with Dave because I lived your life, Dave. I was in the same relationship you were with with Tasha. I fell for you the entire day. Now, dating a girl who cheated on her boyfriend with me, and I thought we were in love,
Starting point is 00:04:07 and then everything's going all great. And then, the month end, she says, I'm kinda done, she goes me, and I'm fucking freaking out. I'm living through your experience, Dave. But we'll get there. Here's the boring question, shout out, Delo. Did it, did it, did it, did it, did it, did it, did it.
Starting point is 00:04:21 How'd you get on the show? So I had two restaurants in the southwest of France. Oh, Jesus Christ. You own the restaurants. Oh my God. Me and my business partner, Gav Leakey, a good friend of mine. We had two restaurants. COVID hit.
Starting point is 00:04:40 It was gnarly in France. You couldn't leave. You could go like a kilometer from your house. It's seasonal, so it's tough anyway. So we're probably open like five months of the year, which makes it tough in in France. You have to pay so many ridiculous charges. It's just unheard of. COVID hit, restaurants shut.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I was like, right, what am I going to do now? Right. Disopportunity came up, so I applied for it and then did the interviews over and over again. And then, yeah, literally found out I got the job So I applied for it and then did the interviews over and over again and then yeah Literally found out got the job probably like five days before Okay went to the oh, sorry, go ahead to Malta now you'd obviously I'm working on another boat Before so you're applying but you are you kind of working on boats part time
Starting point is 00:05:21 So half the year on a boat half the year with the restaurant? Absolutely. Yeah, so I'd normally just do six months, well prior to the restaurant, I'll be skiing, competing, and then the other six months I'll be working on yachts. So that's basically how it works. What do you mean, skiing, competing? Well, they did this whole thing. Well, I know he's a thrill seeker, but when they do the Seerad history and I'm sorry, you know, I know it's an offensive term, but we just have to be, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:45 we have to have fidelity to our fans. But what does that mean? You're going fast? Going fast. So yeah, freestyle skin. So freestyle, like tricks, double back ease. We saw it, what? It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:58 He does all that stuff where you can break your fucking neck. I know, but when they do his history, I just tune out. I just don't pay attention. But, basically like two two 14 I hit my my peak. I won the British Championships Got a girl there and then I like snap base both my ACOs. Oh sick So that was kind of skiing career. I tried to come back from it couldn't really do freestyle as much anymore Because of the ACOs right and then because I was compensating in my legs, my back got really bad.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Right, right, right. So it's just a nightmare. Is there a video of the crash? There is a video of the crash, yeah. Oh boy. Would you watch it? Or are you hurt? Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no like it's not, but it doesn't hurt that badly. Definitely hurts for then and you can't move your lower left. Sure, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:46 So when you stand up it gives way, right? Yeah, no, my sister tore both her ACLs and you have to, the gross part is draining on the blood and the plasma out. It's really, really, really up here. To be fair, in France, the medical is insane. Right, I've got straight in and it's incredible. When you pay all the tax, there you go.
Starting point is 00:07:03 That's why. And this podcast is about so beauty of socialism So so you get the you get the good like they you had a credible medical cared stuff But then like the second there's any trouble they shut your restaurant I learned from then being a business only a business that actually Owning a business is an absolute nightmare in France. It's good for an employee. That's right, man.
Starting point is 00:07:28 It's good for an employee, but owning a business, you get nothing. You just cook. It's a romantic thing. Well, you basically create a job for yourself with a bunch of extra hassle. I'm a business owner, too, dude. Absolutely. I want to touch on something. So the show never goes back to Dave being kind of an adrenaline junkie You think about this in these an entrepreneur these are things of a person that needs
Starting point is 00:07:48 Forgive me if I'm kind of But you don't you constantly need like a lot going on in your life to get you off a car like a car relax That's why I love cooking you know like the adrenaline side of it. Absolutely. Love it. It balances me out levels me out And if the time flies by on a service, right? Because you're getting off on it, you feel lonely. That's why I used to be, when I was a chef in a restaurant, so I used to be a nightmare. I was a horrible, horrible head chef.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I used to make people cry all the time. As I went on, I met some incredible people. Like the G-man? You were like, you yell at me? I was awful. I was horrible. Do you horrible? That's how I was taught, right?
Starting point is 00:08:25 That's what I was gonna have. When I was like an apprentice, I'd have like hot oil tipped on my shoulder. I'd be locked in a walking fridge. Like it's like my head chef put ducks on his fists and punched me. Like it was hectic. Yeah, like Markov, Pierre White kind of abused. Yeah, absolutely legend. Right, incredible chef.
Starting point is 00:08:42 We've watched his many, many videos of him. He has one of the most soothing voices. Is that him making a grilled cheese? No, he's making a soft scramble and shitting on Gordon Ramsay's technique while he's doing the demonstration. But when Mark Bob is in absolute... He's taught Gordon, so.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Yeah, exactly. But there is the perfect technique to make scrambled egg is in a cold pan, right? Butter, olive oil, seasoning. And if you have to take the, so we obviously have pan and off the heat, you know, you don't have an understanding of the cooking. We have a couple videos mentioned.
Starting point is 00:09:10 There you go. Questions of questions. And I think the first one will kind of kick us off. Okay. You know, set the stage really well. All right, better be a good question, because I know how to frame questions. Cash prizes every day. Adds up when you play at Pulse Crusino. You were a great character on the show. At first I was going to ask like what the relationship was between your addiction to extreme sports and dating chicks like Natasha. But the more I thought about it, it's not
Starting point is 00:10:42 a great metaphor because you know how evil can evil would like jump over 15 buses and then land on a ramp on the other side. Dating Natasha was sort of like hitting that first ramp, going over 15 buses, and then there's no ramp to land on. You just smack into the cement. Do you think that in the future you'll see that first ramp and the 15 buses and think hey maybe dating doesn't need to be this difficult? Or are you just gonna look for ladies who have a ramp on the other side? Do you still need to keep it dangerous? That's my question. Dylan, Nick, Pat, love you guys. Love you too, dude. But hey, why don't we just cut to the chase? Why were all the metaphors? Hey, that was insane with Natasha. Would you ever do that again, Dave? I thought the
Starting point is 00:11:24 metaphor was beautiful. It was long. But it was beautiful. Honestly, when we got into it, I had no idea that this was going to happen, right? I had no idea. From what was happening with us, when she was sneaking into the cap, my cabin,
Starting point is 00:11:37 probably 20 times around the other day. You mean you had no idea that you were going to go insane and have love sickness, and then have it all be capture on camera. Hey Dylan, sorry Dave, I gotta interrupt. I gotta tell these young guys. I'm an old guy, you know. You don't understand how fucking hot here comes the brown nose.
Starting point is 00:11:55 No, no, I already said him our kindred spirits because we've lived through this. It's so fucking hot. Yeah, the world doesn't exist around. In this room? What are you talking about? In this room and when you're in it with a person and it's all hot and heavy and you know, it might be a little wrong and secretive and it's fun and there's no bad parts and then the bad parts. Right, right. So let's go back to the beginning. So you guys are on Charter together.
Starting point is 00:12:19 What happens? You guys go out, hook up, she says no, then it kind of starts to warm up. What happened? Right, so hang on, we're on home now, yeah? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'll get it before, okay, no, so we're on charter. Because you guys tried to do that, that bruise that just didn't work. So we were on charter for a month. I'd never, obviously never met Tasha.
Starting point is 00:12:40 We were in the first five days, we were working. So we weren't boozing, we were working, we were busy. It was a month,, Russian charter actually. And we basically, there was kind of some sort of, so we weren't boozing. There was some sort of like cabin pie. We had some like, chef wine, you know, terrible bagged wine.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Oh, sick, slap the bag. Slap the bag, yeah, that was it. There's a time and place for that kind of wine. So I've been a guy, but we're kind of, yeah, weak into the char. And we had a few drinks in my cabin. You have a chest ring there too. And then that's when we first got on in first five days. Okay, and I know you're you're boozing.
Starting point is 00:13:19 You got backs wine all up in you. Yeah. But who did make the first she get I bet. I know. I'm trying to get that out. You might have seen a photo, I'm wearing like a van singlet and then she's sitting on my lap. So that was that night. So that was kind of the first time we hooked up.
Starting point is 00:13:36 And the funny thing about is there was a Russian chef on, one of the client chef came on for the charter and he was in the top bank but he was a heaviest sleeper you have trust me trust me he's a heavy sleeper this is what he's thinking about, he's a heavy sleeper you've ever met in your life he's a very silent creep no no no because he was snoring the whole he didn't stop snoring and he sounded like a wild fucking bad sure I wasn't doing this
Starting point is 00:14:09 Yeah, he was he was covering up the noise of it. It's good So so then you guys get a board home. I'm sure that hold on I got to know a couple more details about this. I do I do find this part fast This is the interesting parts of me because okay So now you guys are how many weeks go by where you guys are just on on this private charter or whatever where this is happening So I forgot three and a half weeks any mention of a boyfriend I mean and by the way, I'm not gonna blame you or put anything on you. Did you know another guy existed? I did yeah, yeah Hey Dave scumbag move now because they tell stories that say this guy sucks does this x y
Starting point is 00:14:47 and you're talking about women broadly no I'm scumbag move Dave no I'm saying that people will this girl that did it with me was telling me how bad her boyfriend was and I'm like well then I don't care I don't know him I don't know him I came up with that I'm trying to leave you're a guilt right now kind of clear up a lot of the lies that have kind of been out there. I don't want to point fingers at anyone. Right. But this happened. And this is why I felt so much for her.
Starting point is 00:15:12 And I fell for her because we spent a lot of times getting a lot of sneaking around. And this was happening, you know, it happened. And then when we left the charts, we both found out that we were joining going going on for below deck. All that I'm sorry I'm going to slap you there. You both must have known that this was a possibility, right? Well, no, we didn't. Oh, you holy shit.
Starting point is 00:15:32 You both simultaneously signed up for it. We did not know. We had no idea. No idea. You must have thought this was really not the start. There's only one thing that happened when When we were having our final interviews, we both had the same bad John on our uniform. And that's when I think they put two and two together,
Starting point is 00:15:52 the producers. Holy shit. Right, so that's when they figured it out. But we didn't know. We were told not to say anything, right? To anybody, to anybody. Even the person you're sleeping with. Exactly, we didn't say anything.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Until I told the chef on board that I was going on, and he went, no way, Tash is going on too. And that's how we both found out. That is so wild. And that's the best. And he knew sneaky monkey. Yeah, we shed on producers quite a bit, but I gotta say that attention to detail,
Starting point is 00:16:22 and that kind of rock rolling down the hill is just incredible producing. I'll tell you what, I'll carry on into this because then we went into, I just went into it. Quickly, I want to pause it something. Sounds right, they told you not to do anything, you seem like very honest, somewhat a little bit gullible guy will say, I think Ursula, I mean Natasha might have possibly spilled the beans that she was cheating
Starting point is 00:16:46 on the chef with her other boat and they interviewed him. I don't know. I'm dining the TFC, but I'm sorry to interrupt. I don't know. Well, look, I don't know. At the end of the day, I thought she was God's gift, right? Yeah. And then I even changed my flight leaving. So we had the same stopover in Amsterdam before she went to Manchester and I went home. And we were like, we were hooking up, we were, it was, yeah, I was literally full, look, I know it's only been a month, right? I'm trying to tell you, a month on a boat,
Starting point is 00:17:14 80 hours a day, spending that time together. Trauma, it's a long, it's a long fucking time. It's calm. It's, it's, you know, the peak of male stupidity. Right, I mean, I'll accept that. Yeah, I'll say that. I'll accept that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And then, yeah, I mean, like in the airport, and then I flew back to France, grab a few things, and then I went to Maltese in the airport. Yeah. And then the night before that we joined, so they take our keys away, okay? So we can't leave the hotel. Ah, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:41 So we can't, it makes sense. You can't see the other crew. True, it makes sense. Yeah. So you can't make sense hotel. So it makes sense, you can't see the other crew. True, it makes sense, right? Right, right. But I was like, no, there's gotta be a way I can get into Tash's room. So full James Bond style, snuck out, balcony drop,
Starting point is 00:17:55 yes, have a gym gear on, have a gym gear on, went into our rooms, and it was the first night we had a squirming room. The first night we had a meal, she had a pumpkin risotto, I had a burger, we shared a squirt in her room the first night we had we had a meal She had a pumpkin risotto at a burger. We showed a bottle of red wine great name, and that was our first date That was our first proper date, right? No, it was bloody. It was the day before filming and it's a day before filming I know you got a burger. No, I love a burger mate. I'm mate. Do you Get such a day the fast food is the most consistent food out there.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Of course it is, right? It's not. You got to first date. She's getting pumpkin risotto. You're in a burger. But don't give it. Both make you gassy to be fair. OK.
Starting point is 00:18:34 So then I left early in the morning, my gym gear, and I went into the gym. Because obviously I can't go back to my room. So they have a room key. You need a key to get up to a room. Right. So I went into the gym. And then I messaged the guy who's been
Starting point is 00:18:45 looking after me. I was like, oh, I didn't want to wake you up. I'm in the gym you know. I got ready. Nice. They're guys like, we got an absolute maniac on board. He will get it in. He needs that. That's the truth. Now, and that shows you what I've done anything to see her to make this happen. Right. Now, I guess, did you guys talk this is where the plan was hatched that you were going to pretend that you were just friends. Exactly. And that was the plan. And that's what she wanted to do because the plan was she was going to, she was, I get it, like she wanted to, she didn't want to sister and a parent or family to. Or that boyfriend of hers. I can't, but this was apparently that was already like pretty
Starting point is 00:19:25 carnage. So that was already, sorry, hang on, what was the motivation here? Like I don't understand why she wanted to try to do this. Because it was, I mean, from the outside looking at it was doomed to fail. So a bad plan right out of the gate. But what was the reasoning she didn't want? So the plan was we go a weekend? Yeah
Starting point is 00:19:46 To be in on the boat and then pretend like we just we fell for each other and that makes sense That that was the original plan. Okay, that's what we spoke about She obviously had control of the of the cabin array Well, I was gonna say that you actually seen genuinely shocked when she said will be rumies And I'd say for her her plan was to pretend and push this off that you guys were just slowly falling in love after a week. Probably you're tipping your hat by going, hey, I'm sleeping with that guy.
Starting point is 00:20:14 There's an incident when we have the first meal out. I don't know if you sin it, but I've got the photo and it's quite a beautiful photo actually. We're having dinner and we're both looking at each other and she's holding my hand. I'm not sure if anyone's seen it. I'll show you. But that was like, you know, I was like, right, this is happening. We're good here. This is going on.
Starting point is 00:20:32 We're starting to show everybody that we're feeling affectionate. Yeah. And that's when Natalia was just like, you guys are together. You know, when she called it and that's when I was kind of started to open up a little bit about it. Yeah. Right. But that was kind of started to open up a little bit about it. Yeah, right. But that was that was kind of the deal. That's that's the truth. Dave, you kind of wish that you just started staying in earlier on and these going out now. Okay, so let's talk about you more questions about the plan. More questions about the plan. Was there was there any discussion of like, oh,
Starting point is 00:21:03 we'll release this and we'll be like kind of together? Like, were you, were you planning on continuing your relationship on the boat? Because she said really explicitly one time when you guys were out, we're not dating. We all know she loves to party. That's the party. Dave's toxic and especially stays in, right? No, that was a plan. The plan was to play it out and literally within a week or whatever,
Starting point is 00:21:27 it sounds like a shibu sound out loud, but that was not, that was what we discussed. Okay, so let's talk about you and I'll show water. Yeah. Let's talk about you and your kind of jekyll and hide as your relationship with alcohol. So, and I want to say I have the same thing. They've seen me many times. I drink too much and I get dead behind the eyes, but I'm still able to operate. Why am I out? Go to bed now.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Yeah. Right. So it's called being a blackout drunk zombie. Um, so Nick, well, Nick and Dave, I don't remember him being blackout. Well, you'd hang in the door, Jim, like his jaw was missing. Well, he was confused. What is she doing over there? She's lying to me and everybody else all right So he's a different type of drunk. He's a daily couple of hours of wine So when he drinks below deck. He doesn't remember how like that
Starting point is 00:22:16 Right exactly okay, so um so god there's so many questions Let's talk about the shower first because There have been some tales about how you guys didn't do something in the shower You did do something in the shower. What happened in that? And this isn't asking about editing Natasha said it on wwhl when she's helping dish the 411 with the NNs Clubhouse She said I don't know why they got that. I didn't say that at the point did or that was the let's No, I know so bad, but you guys know what I'm talking about Well, you said her name. Yeah, you didn't say her name. We'd have no fucking can I have a fan ask that same question because we got it some fan question Oh, yeah, okay, yeah, so Natalya Mendoza asked can you ask him on the first episode when Tasha asked quote
Starting point is 00:23:01 Want a screw did you guys y'all screw all night? Or was that just kidding and was that steamy in there? She did say do you want to screw, did you guys y'all screw all night? Or was that just kidding? And was that steamy in there? She did say, do you want to screw, but no, we didn't screw. OK, now we just screw her. Not bad for her. What a power move. But no.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Why would I do this? Do you love the crew? Now we're now, don't you know? Look, it's on, now we're now. She's getting kicked that old down. Yeah, OK, so I'm so like hesitate to talk about sports after we are born done. I have to know if you know who Leon Edwards is. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:23:42 He's a UFC fighter from Liverpool, just won the championship. and it just has not penetrated the Zeitgeist in England I know Patty the daddy a patty that he yeah, yeah, he's a fucking man. Where's Natasha from Manchester she is from Manchester, okay, all right, so shower. Do you guys set sex? Yes, okay? So Yeah, so she all right she liednily thing about it was right. I went into the shower, see if she was all good. I, I'm not sure I'm allowed to talk about this. Anyway, I'm going to do anyway. I had the mic on and I got in the shower fully clothed.
Starting point is 00:24:16 What? Fully clothed. Wow. To the mic off and then left it on the side. I don't know. I've seen it on TV before. It's going to be funny. I just did it because I know she was on the shit time and I just wanted to do that whole, you know, I've seen it on TV before. That's what I do. It's to be funny. I just did it because I know you've done a shit time
Starting point is 00:24:26 and I just wanted to do that whole, you know, once I have my clothes on, I didn't want to think I was trying to have sex with you. I know your time. Dude, you were, you, that's pretty wrong with that. I don't, I don't know you at all, but you seem fairly lucid. When you were on that boat,
Starting point is 00:24:42 you were clinically insane. Clinical, clinically. No, you didn't. Hey, damn it, you didn't insane. I clinically, no need to write. Hey, damn, you're taking a shot. No, I was, I completely agree. And I was, and I was, honestly, I had, so it shows that I'm up at seven, but I'm actually up at four, like bacon, sourdough, like I'm getting very little sleep.
Starting point is 00:25:00 It's not an excuse, not an excuse. The way I, the way I acted with Jason was out of order order and some of the things that the task was out of order so I'm not gonna sit here and be like pity I don't want any pretty right I was I was clinically I want to say this though you haven't been gaslit by a girl that you're dating have you Della I've been gaslit let's to this exemplar all types of people what to this extent men men two spirits Yeah, just tons it makes you fucking insane when you're when you're being when I was Can't understand when I was courting my lovely wife I
Starting point is 00:25:36 Completely lost my mind completely lost my mind. I would call her Constantly I would cry on the phone you are literally not in control of your emotions, which is why as men, we sympathize with what Dave is going through because we have an intimate understanding of- There's nothing wrong, by the way, there's nothing wrong with showing emotion. Yeah, you also see it nappy. There's nothing wrong with crying,
Starting point is 00:25:59 as so many people out there feel it's such a disability and it's not, it's a strength. It gets rid of that anxiety that has, right, it's such a disability and it's not, it's a strength. It gets rid of that anxiety that have, like, it's like, yeah, it's a huge help. There's nothing, that's, I'm kind of stoked that it happened. A lot of people have reached out to me and said, they've kind of leveled with me about it. And that's cool.
Starting point is 00:26:19 I've also got a lot of really shit comments too. Yeah, I don't want that. Sorry about that. No, but, yeah. I'm very sorry about that. I, but, yeah. Sorry about that. I like these sharp DMing people on the show. But everyone's like, everyone's entitled to an opinion. I went on the fucking show.
Starting point is 00:26:32 You guys have an opinion of me, that's fine. I signed up for that, right? Amazing, right? So that's fine. But all I'm trying to say is the people out there who say some terrible things, they clearly, you need to release them. It doesn't matter if a bullhead covered in tattoos,
Starting point is 00:26:46 it's got six packs. Look at the fuck, the probably banging out most people. Who cares, right? But all I'm trying to say, it's not, it doesn't matter. You need to show emotions. Sure, now, I think that we're going to take a lot of shit if we do not ask this. There is nothing wrong with crying
Starting point is 00:27:03 when you're in an emotionally vulnerable and clinically insane state. I'm nervous what he's going to ask. I am too. Damn. He's the heaven. But I don't think he was clinically insane. I can't watch.
Starting point is 00:27:16 He said it. He, well, he's trying to be nice. He was being gaslit the entire time. I'm sure all she needed to say was, I'm back with my boyfriend. I'm having second thoughts. I feel sorry. I feel like that dude from the South Park. Can I finish? Can I finish? Please? Can I finish? We love each other like grand finish. Can I finish? Please. The Terrence in Phillip movie is not that bad. So any positive. Okay, I'm finished. So crying is not a problem.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Jim Bovano says laugh cry and think and then need to show emotion. The text messages were out of order and gross. So what happened that night? Obviously, there's booze involved, which it sucks because booze does make you do, you know, I mean, let's lay out a spectrum, violence, stupid, all this stuff. Hey, great podcasting. Right, but it's not an excuse. You can text another, it's not an excuse. It sucks, because I really is effective
Starting point is 00:28:09 in making you do dumb stuff. The guy I am today is a completely different person to what I was before, like years and years ago. I was an aggressive, violent, fighting all the time. Like I was a pretty naughty guy. And when I started traveling traveling I met some incredible people and I kind of got there energy and really I didn't need to be such a dick. You take care of Asuka?
Starting point is 00:28:31 No, I haven't. I fall about it. Well you're also older than 24, you know our brains aren't fully... Right. We do a lot of stupid shit. There's a thing going around if they put every guy in jail from age 18 to 24 there'd be no crime in the world. Well they're young dumb and full of seam.
Starting point is 00:28:45 But what I'm trying to say is there's no excuse for my actions. Right. I'm telling you, I have changed as a person and I'm a much better person. And when I get drunk, I have no control. Right. So I turn into an absolute cunt.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Right. Right. OK, so we have some more listener questions to get to. And we also have this This just dastardly clip from Natasha. I'm so happy that Nick pulled because we've got to get to this and and and the segue into it You said you somewhat regretful of what happened with Jason We may have to port this, but I don't know if we've seen that yet. Is there it? Right am I in my for night one when they go oh oh night one oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh was also probably can that too. And yeah, I was jealous. I like to get jealous.
Starting point is 00:29:46 I know jealousy is bad, but if you don't get jealous, you don't care. If someone's hitting on your girl, then you don't get jealous. Is that not? It's a bit weird. If you don't have some sort of action towards it, is that not, is that,
Starting point is 00:30:03 I'm worth it. Hey Dave, I'll get a beer with you after okay? No, I'm not no no it's so funny because envy is one of the seven deadly sins But I still feel as though it is rooted in pride So we can have you can have sex with this guy. That's alright I said I've I've spoken I'm not a proud man. Well, I'll take you out for breakfast Oh, no, no, I'll cookie you breakfast. I have spoken to many people. And this man knows how to make eggs.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Who are like, yeah, we have an open relationship. It works out. And give it days or months, it will always fail categorically. So let's get to this clip from Natasha. And let's talk about your edit. And you can say, part if you want to on this season. Right before we play that clip, hey Andy, lay off the carbs buddy.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Hey you guys think Sandy did handle it well after everything that happened, who's side of you on Natasha or Dave? Where are you going with this man button? This is super early in this season. It's a party pony and I'm gonna go with... It's a party pony. It is a party pony. It is a party.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Yeah, I'm 100% on the Tasha side. Okay, and it's it. It's the real story, that's why. Okay, wow, the audience is going for Dave, even after all that. Dave's side was portrayed very well, I'm not there. People have not seen my side because I hit it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Yeah, you did a real good job of hiding it. What the fuck is she talking about? Well, I haven't seen that. I actually haven't seen that. You haven't? No, I haven't seen that. You're fired up right now. Are you ready to throw, Jack?
Starting point is 00:31:40 Oh my God. Yeah. Do you know what? The things that actually pissed me off right now is the fact, you know, I won't go too much into it. But when I moved into cabins with Jason, he was having a tough time on deck. And I supported that guy.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Right. As a few times, I can't talk about this when I'm doing it. There's a few times where you'll see in pictures where me and Jason aren't there. That's because I'm sitting down with him and we're chatting. I'm supporting. I'm supporting.
Starting point is 00:32:08 I can't believe you fucking said that. So what? I got to pat myself on the back for production. I pulled that clip and you haven't seen it and fucking stole it. Oh, right now. I'm also sorry because these are real people's lives. I opened it and did. There's a very painful for you.
Starting point is 00:32:21 There's an absolute jerk like I was an absolute dick at times. Yeah. But that's not the truth. Now what could she be referring to when she says you didn't see the half of it? Could she alleged what was, what could she possibly say? We saw the tax. Is there anything else that was, she's referring to that she'll probably try and do a gacha mumble on it?
Starting point is 00:32:42 Yeah, because if there was anything worse than calling her a slut over tax No, I got her a bitch. No, I got her a shot. I called out. Um, they, but they showed that so and and we We will and sorry we need to let you speak because the audience wants to hear from you, but we have Given Natasha credit because She could have after that evening gotten you fired Right, so and actually when you guys had your little powwow and you're like fuck it. I'm done with it I was like no man man. He kind of pushed back hard after she gave you She could have done and you know what if I if I couldn't cook
Starting point is 00:33:21 Sandy would have 100% right right 100% and and be fair, look, I don't want to, I'm not coming here to point fingers at people, right? But 100% Natasha saved me though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She could have, she could have got me fine. Right, right, exactly. And I also like to address because a lot of people, and we had a lot of questions like,
Starting point is 00:33:41 Hey, has he thought a lot about him using that language in the tax and stuff? It's like, hey, you know, I know you're writing that question. Have you ever written something horrible that you regret through a fucking tax or said something called someone a bitch or something horrible? Like, you want to be like that defined someone's life on a stupid TV show. Yeah, I always hate that shit.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Like, for example, my wife told me today that she wanted to, I can't remember something about it to begin with a D No, she wanted to watch me like burn alive or something I was pissing her off anyways, so um What's Natasha talking about and why She's saying that is she just talking shit there Dave spinning? Oh, like do you think texting or slut is the worst thing you did all season? Yeah. But that was like, again, I even said, on an interview previously, like, I would have fired myself for that.
Starting point is 00:34:32 I was out of one. No matter what she is. We're not trying to keep hammering on this. We're wondering if there's something sinister. Who's she saying that there is a crest that doesn't have a crest? And you got a great added. No, I mean, like you see now aggressive, I was Jason and I was pushing Jason to and you watch the next morning, but I by I clearly
Starting point is 00:34:49 wanted to fight the guy right I was pushing him I was out of order I was fucking bang I was bang out of it. Yeah, pussy makes you do things, but I'm seeing like the edit like I see is the kind of showing it how kind of through my eyes how how it's happened, that's why I feel it, it does look worse on Natasha, but I didn't too, my boyfriend, right? Right. At the end of the day. And what you'll see, I personally,
Starting point is 00:35:16 I don't think they've actually missed anything. Okay, so I was black out drunk. Right, right, right, of course. Twice. so we are Who Kate you know Natasha you it's you know it's it's it's love sick kids, you know who cares He was right there and they might have kissed before they went on who knows and that's not a Confederation of her I'm just saying they who knows what happened No, cuz we we we bond like a really good relationship man
Starting point is 00:35:49 Well fucking send him a mean fucking tax. I'll draft it. Oh, I was patting myself on the background I just already feel extreme guilt. Oh, I'm kind of like sweating I mean we're in a microwave door. All right, so, oh, let's fucking talk about this debt crew, like stuff that doesn't have to do with Dave. Jason ostracized by the triumvirate of Storm, Courtney and Z, who seem like pleasant people, but huge fucking nerds. Where'd you stand on that type of faction?
Starting point is 00:36:19 Or you guys aren't agreeing with me at all? They're getting fucking nerds, pleasant people. Storm definitely isn't a nerd, He's a sick surfer. He's super talented. He's had a really, really tough upbringing. Yeah, we're just being right. To be where he is right now. He's killing it.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And Storm's an absolute legend. Right. Z as well. And they all support me so much throughout the season. Z, Storm, and Courtney. They all have my back. Literally, probably couldn't have done it without them to be fair. And honestly, it's a lot Z storm and Courtney. They all have my back. Like they, I literally probably couldn't have done it without them to be fair. And honestly, it's a lot of pressure on Courtney. Z was always just coming in the galley and just, he seems like that guy.
Starting point is 00:36:53 He's like, you got the dude. And you know, just a little tap on his shoulder. And that's, for me, that was, that's kind of that gave me enough to kind of get through. I wouldn't have been out of it otherwise. I never thought of my work. But one of the interesting, did you, by the way, have you ever, did you watch the show, you obviously watched so before you went on it, right? I watched, I think, one or two episodes. Okay. So one of the interesting things that now just thinking about
Starting point is 00:37:14 is kind of the dynamic of seven or eight strangers being on a boat, and then you kind of like, it's fascinating to see all like, how human nature like, who bonds with who this person hates this person But they don't hate this person, but they can be friends with the other person that hates that other person Yeah a lot of that goes on it goes on it's like it is it's like it's a really toxic environment, right?
Starting point is 00:37:34 We you chuck a lot of people in and they've all everyone's a character on there And then you you chuck nose sleep booze we arrive on on the ship and no one knows where anything is and the ship was completely dry. There was nothing on there but 24 hours to clean it and get shit on. So that all day? They didn't have olive oil? Nothing. By the way, lots of questions from nothing. You said a big bag that I brought on? That was all my own kitchen equipment. No shit. A lot of them. It was an absolute nightmare. Where do you get your knives? I got a used with stuff actually German great. Yeah, I just I can't Cut co there are there are MLM I was an MLM. It's but they're fine knives, but are they good nice?
Starting point is 00:38:15 They're good nice I've always used these knives because they like like it's like sustainable. They're easier to sharpen Japanese blades they're they're incredible. They're easy to sharpen. Japanese blades, they're incredible. They look amazing. They're super sharp, but because of the metal, it's so folded. They're hard to make. You really have to take it out. And they're really, really, really tough.
Starting point is 00:38:32 That's that metal thing you got. You need different stones. You can't even feel the shots. You need soap stones. It's really, really difficult. It's like when in Mighty Ducks, when the grandpa is sharpening the skates. 100%.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Hey, just to break this up, I was not talking, do we want to play another listener? I got it. I'm so looped, but I do want to. Tommy, what's work? Let's go to a listen, listen, listen.
Starting point is 00:38:53 I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:39:01 I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. Thanks a lot. Bye. Definitely the texts in the Tasha Because when I was my power she didn't open out of chance So I had a second chance I knew I knew once I said that the Tasha was all over When your shoot doesn't open you don't wake up the next day the thing the thing with a shoot is right if you have it It's called it's called a fuck gone blinded I
Starting point is 00:39:24 Can't remember this. I was going to say, wait, but anyway, so I've got time and I'm so blas-a-about the whole thing. I'm trying to correct it, so I've got an all black canopy, it's sick. I didn't want to lose it. So I'm trying to fix it, trying to fix it, because obviously when you cut it away,
Starting point is 00:39:36 it's got no idea where it's gone. And where I'm jumping, those are swamps. So there's those are crocodiles. So my issue was, what trees or swamp? swamp swamp. I chose trees. You chose tree fucking Allegators mate. I know but swamps. I don't margill it's unsafter to land in so I didn't even come in that hot I was coming like I just pulled it so late right so I'm gonna have time how many how many how many like 600 feet So I was I was coming on so I was like but I couldn't get But I couldn't know what that mean no you get out of they do I can get out to see a tree's what I was in I said swamp trees swamp trees right and I go it's fucked that right took the tree
Starting point is 00:40:12 But as I turned when I hit the tree Because I've had back issues before it obviously just annihilate me. Yeah, I smashed my helmet loss my GoPro And It's not like what you see on TV even the canopy is hanging in the tree. That didn't happen. That was a lot. We get beat up by the branches.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Yeah, so I was just hit the deck. So you'd rather die. That sounds pretty bad. Car shooting, then those, by the way, whatever entrepreneur creates that technology to take back a text that you just said that you regret.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Right, that's a million dollar. I got it. All right. So it's it's it iOS 13. It's a thing. You can pull back. Yeah. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Dave needs to get out of here because he's got a date. It's not a good. Let's get. Okay. We just got a day with a beautiful woman named Marcos. So we need to talk about food. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:03 So. I am the culinarily focused person on the show. I have been downtrodden because they haven't really given us enough footage of you. Yeah, footage and detail about the food that you're cooking now obviously you're Masticistically obsessed with the craft you'll get up at four o'clock in the morning to bake fresh sourdough. I mean How long have you had that starter by the way? I Started it when I joined the boat. Okay, so I didn't start in the south over two weeks Okay, are we talking about the nose? Yeah, okay. No, no, no, no, start. Well, start, yeah, different. So you fermentate
Starting point is 00:41:50 the flower, so you had your flower, you had your water, and every day you feed it with flower and water. So eventually, it fermentates. So my neighbor does it. So it's basically a healthy version of bread because you're not using yeast, which obviously is a block up in your intestines. It's a spath in your face. So you are getting up at four o'clock in the morning baking sourdough. So you're obviously committed to the culinary arts. I am frustrated with hiring people like you because, and I don't mean this as an insult, but you bad chefs are more entertaining.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I mean, must have been pretty entertaining. Oh, you're wildly entertaining. Exactly, right. So we do get plenty of entertainment from Dave and Taj, but not from you sucking as a chef. Not from you sucking as a chef. It would be much more entertaining if you were putting chips on a plate and then dumping a can of corn on top of them And then serving it to people who were paying six thousand dollars. That's a real thing to happen Oh, that was oh, yeah, it's just they hired a Russian spy. She lasted two episode and then she micro aggression to a bunch of black people And she would have been a dominant and it was true. It was insane She was resting stakes in the microwave and then she and then I think her honestly final nail in the coffin
Starting point is 00:43:06 There was like a by guy on board and she's like that is a sin you need you this is not cool And they're like okay, you're fired right nachos. So like then I'm a lachikid and I don't know anything about food And it's type of nachos I would make when I came home my grandma's still working and I just fucking put some cheddar on put it in the microwave And even at some fucking marshmallows on a separate plate. Now, what we might do is just apps, that's why you are trash. I mean, you're just trash. So, you know, I wish that they could have
Starting point is 00:43:35 clued us more into what you were preparing, because I haven't really the faintest idea of, you know, the granular details of what you were cooking, because I would love to kind of make up reasons to shit on your food. But the main details of what you were cooking, because I would love to kind of make up reasons to shit on your food. But the main point of contention that I've really had with you, colonarily, the entire season, was this tasting menu thing. You knew that this was going to be an unmitigated fucking disaster from the get- right and you've worked in France you know
Starting point is 00:44:06 what you're doing you know what wine pairing with food looks like what you were doing freehouse not going to work right so what was the strategy with you I vaguely remember you saying we're gonna you were okay I think're gonna, you were okay. I think this is what happened. You were okay with putting it all out at one time and then just saying. So the idea was, right? Because Dave, I mean, that's horse shit.
Starting point is 00:44:33 The idea was around the world, yeah. So there was 12 different types of street food. Which is, that was my plan. Okay. So the idea was, we'll be on the table and everyone can just pick a little bit up, like a little tasting menu, really easy, really sociable on the table, super simple, but good flavours, good taste, it would have been fun. Sounds awesome, me, that I make really much. That was, that was, that was the whole idea. Yeah, but me,
Starting point is 00:45:03 I don't want to, Kyle was exhausted and he was so frustrated because obviously we were running out of place. And he was in a similar position to you too. So he was really annoyed. I could see how annoyed he was. Right. You could see how pissed off he was. And that's, I don't, the shit that's going on between me and the tasha, I don't want it
Starting point is 00:45:21 to affect the crew. That's the last thing I wanted. And I could see it was really affecting him. The idea was to have this, I want my fucking nuts off all day to get everything ready to then just send out done, finished. But how was that going to work with the wine parents? It was, it was the wine parents. It meant to be a wine parent.
Starting point is 00:45:40 There was never meant to be a wine parent. There was never meant to be a wine parent. She threw that on him. Go ahead, Deck. They didn't even drink the wine. This is actually very, She's a really shitty sumo yet. You said you didn't want to let the relationship affect it, but it really seemed like there was this a scene
Starting point is 00:45:54 and I never know what's in or what's not, but she's like helping you hold that thing, that the screw's not tight and she's like rubbing, rubbing, you can out pass. Yeah, so basically, like I said to you, when I joined about the equipment was shocking. So this is my fault. I saw the pasta machine, but it didn't have the clamp
Starting point is 00:46:11 on the bench. You need leverage. I can't roll pasta without a clamp. So I asked her, I only needed 10 pieces, right? So it wasn't the end of the world. But I need to laminate it. I need to laminate it. So you put pasta through the pasta machine, laminate it. I need to laminate it So you put past the fruit of the past machine laminate you get better texture right so I
Starting point is 00:46:28 Obviously I asked Tash because I want to do everything with Tash Very small part of the question that was I do I actually I almost I refer to that moment to your ghost You know where Patrick's quazine demy more like molding the fucking whatever that party But Dave I want to ask you no, I'm sorry, you're still asking a question? Yes. Oh, OK. Two-parter. No, there was no question.
Starting point is 00:46:50 We don't have guests in studio, a lot. So we're a little frowns over it. I'm not frowns over it. I'm not frowns over it. I keep getting cut off on my questions. I'm getting pissed. I didn't have any question about the pasta machine. I was giving context of what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:47:04 You said you were going to let your relationship affect the wine pairing. When she said wine pairing and you just want to put out the street food, I'm super pissed. It's insane. But next a. That's why you said upset. No. She said it was a wine pairing. You didn't put your foot down at all because you were basically like fine, let it play
Starting point is 00:47:22 out, let it play out. That's how it came off. So that is letting you... That's exactly how it happened. If I start kicking off, like I haven't... You're the chef. In the kitchen, in the galley, right? I haven't kicked off. Obviously, out I have.
Starting point is 00:47:34 In the galley, I know from experience, like I told you before, I was an absolute horrible chef and it never doesn't go anywhere. You need to have time, you need to be thoughtful and you need to be... you need to show compassion. Right. So if I start kicking off then, what help was that going to do? Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:51 At the end of the day, Tasha did a wine pairing. The guest did enjoy it. Right? So all she was thinking from her point of view, she forgot about the whole circle of what was happening. She was just thinking about, I did a wine pan, they'll enjoy it. I understand what she was thinking about. I get it, but not what we were doing.
Starting point is 00:48:13 What was playing first though? Couldn't you have been like, I'm doing street food, can't we do the wine pairing tomorrow? Well, we didn't have time to talk about that. The plan was, we already planned that that wasn't happening. It was the last minute thing. Right, so she threw you an animal. But like I said, I don't want to point fingers at anyone.
Starting point is 00:48:32 It's time to start. It was, no, it was a good idea and it would have given the guests an an exciting experience. But all I'm trying to say is it give more work to Kyle. Yeah, fuck my food up. And in the grand scheme of things, All I'm trying to say is, give more work to Kyle, if fuck my food up. And fuck, fuck, fucks. In the grand scheme of things,
Starting point is 00:48:48 if we had done like a proper tasting menu, and not how I had it enforced in my mind what we're doing, the street food. If I was actually plating food, doing nice, do the broth sources, whatever. Then it would have been amazing. How many quarters did it end up being? Your vision was 12, how many did it?
Starting point is 00:49:04 It was 12, it was 12. They didn't show that. And,? Your vision was 12, how many did it? It was 12. It was 12. They didn't show that. And, and, and, I run for five. But, no, every night, I do seven to 12 courses. Okay, so this is why I'm so fucking mad because I know that you're putting out more.
Starting point is 00:49:16 What if it was so fucking busy? We see that you're, you're kind of manning these, these baking dishes of things that we don't see hit the table. And it's like, bravo. I don't give a fuck about Courtney learning how to ride a jet ski. Or you need what the fuck he's cooking.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Please God, it's a more entertaining, I know what you mean. I know what I promise you. I know what you mean. God, dammit. Courtney is a hero and a lot of people are on your way. I know it's a truth though. Courtney is are here. I've been wanting to see you We want to see for a position this bad part everybody talking at the same time
Starting point is 00:49:52 I'm talking at the same time. I think that you are I haven't seen enough, but I Lean towards your fucking legit chef. You're you know exactly He's about to punch you in're doing. Oh, I'm legit. I'm not a punch you in the face. I know, I know. I'm very, I know you're legit. I know you're legit. I know you're a good, and a lot of stuff that you didn't see
Starting point is 00:50:14 from all sides, from a lot of Tash's cocktails, and a lot of the taste of the Smurfs are a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, She's super talented. No, she's not. She's talented in man drink. Dude, that's shit. No, no, I'm not. She's putting Tabasco in spicy margaritas. That's absolutely disgusting. They've been on deck all fucking day. They've got in, they bring food up.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Everyone's working super hard together. Dev, can I ask you? It is very frustrating. That, they don't show. There was a whole part of, I've made like rather, oh, rather actually I can't say like some in my come up. That's right But yeah, we did a whole sushi scene. I did like a huge Japanese buffet It was epic oysters. It was nitrogen. It was insane But yeah, they don't show
Starting point is 00:50:59 Dave no one's saying that what the dectrude is doing they're not working hard What we're saying is it's not as entertaining to watch this kind of microcosm of this world on a boat. It's more fascinating to see, because you could have like the food network aspect of watching you prep. We'd love to watch that. It's a whole other industry, I'd give you an answer.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Yeah, absolutely. I completely appreciate that. I'm not understanding what you're coming from, but everyone has a lot of people have hated this season because of what's happening. because of the lack of food No, because people want people to me more. Oh, friendly and lovey-dovey and rule together, right? That's boring. No, but everyone has a personal opinion. Okay. Everyone has their own opinion, right? I completely respect what you're saying and obviously I would have fucking loved that to me. Right. Right. To be have more more airtime and to make me
Starting point is 00:51:44 Right. I would have fucking loved that to me. To be had more airtime and to make me. Right. They listened to us Dave. When we talked to them, they fixed it. I was pretty sure. How much was Captain Sandy in the galley? Because I made fun of her for three years. And now they cut her out of the galley like she never showed up.
Starting point is 00:51:55 She was in the galley a lot. Oh, what? No, I almost cut her in Sandy. Like I said, she could have got me fired. She was really married. Did she ever be a very supportive? She was very supportive. Did she ever be a very supportive? She was very supportive. Did she, did she, there was, there was a, a cut. No, there was, there was a cut.
Starting point is 00:52:09 No, there was a cut. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no what she's achieved. And it must be so hard for, honestly, a captain of her status and manage these reprobates. Oh, honestly. How hard. I don't blame her for, like, I wouldn't mind anything if you were there. Honestly, all I can tell you right now is what she did for me was, she gave me a chance.
Starting point is 00:52:38 She gave me a chance. She really fucking supported me. And I'll never forget that. I think she's kind of over being the fake TV captain and now she's stepping into like confidence of being a real person. Yeah, absolutely. When the deck hands went there, she was she was fucking getting stuck in. Yeah, she was grafting. No, she's about as she just spends a lot of time in the galley. So um, reparates is a direct in them to see talk. Okay, so let's talk about,
Starting point is 00:53:06 I was very, very confused about the black pearl cake. Fuck it, I don't know. Great question, great question, Dylan. Okay, so you seem to be in fits about not specifically the cake, but the... That's a task, that's a... I mean, the cake looked great but that's a task. I mean, the cake looked great. It's a ship.
Starting point is 00:53:28 You're not a baker, right? I'm a baker. Well, you are a baker, but you're not, you know, there are bakers and there are chefs that can bake. So the cake looks like black, but it's in fucking. Right, exactly.
Starting point is 00:53:42 So. What's coming in? what's coming in what's coming in what's coming in what's they're probably gonna be the color nice oh so you seem to be overwhelmed by the task of making the ship pink what what about the color change from black to pink? Was so difficult. We've discussed by amount of trash, but what I would do is take some white frosting. You just, yeah. And then I'm gonna go out and live here
Starting point is 00:54:15 and see some red spots. Just your secret, I don't really know. I don't really know. I don't really know how to answer it. I'm gonna try to answer it. Yeah. I don't know really how to answer it, but I try to answer it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Um. I've, I've made like a, a black pearl before. Yeah, we heard. That's the hard part. Sure. The hard part is making the black pearl, making it pink, doesn't sound hard. I made the reason I did it was because obviously I,
Starting point is 00:54:41 I clientele. Yeah. And I thought to put the glittery dust into the pink mirror glaze, it'd be more appropriate. Which is what, just powder sugar and water? It's nice. Fucking, ain't that easy. What is it?
Starting point is 00:54:57 I actually, for that one, it was a bit of a trick. So I actually used condensed milk, vanilla, and then pineapple essence. Oh. So I keep it about 48 degrees, and then I chuck in a gar pineapple essence. Oh, I keep it about 48 degrees, and then I chuck in agar agar. Oh, okay. And that makes it set.
Starting point is 00:55:10 And then, so basically it's already sweet enough. Can you prohibition agar agar? Yeah, you can. What the fuck? That's a new idea. So the idea is, so then I've got the base of the cake, right? Took me two days to make one, I know. You got a base of the cake,
Starting point is 00:55:23 my four different layers of brownies, obviously, shaped, then the royal butter icing, and then it goes in a freezer, because if it doesn't go in a freezer, then the icing won't set. The idea is that it has to set within five to ten seconds. So I pour the glaze over, which is about 45-47 degrees, and then it sets. But what you don't know, I think I can say this, um, storm, storm, storm, actually put his elbow in it. What? And he took off a whole patch of my glaze. He had a 3D anxiety type of room. So, so there was so there was a ship at a nice bird. I didn't, I didn't lose my shit. Look, he was an active complete nice talk and I got actually laugh and that's why you saw those the blue So they're dyed roasted blue almonds. Oh, that's why they were there
Starting point is 00:56:12 She's wise they would never they would never have been there they would never have been there But the reason they are there was to cover up the huge elbow. I don't get why like show us the storm fuck that I was a full lot of things about the old man's out I mean about to send out about to go I was like fuck how long I take you about fucking one minute I was just like right I got to do it got to do it and look again I'm not impressed I'm not sure I'm gonna get in trouble but I had to cover it up so I the blue dye it looks like water right so so so cover it up But you need to also, I've got, I've got fuck all equipment here, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:47 I know. I know. I know it does white chocolate bloody sales. Yeah. In bobbin, in fucking kitchen, right? Yeah, right, right. We appreciate the kickmasters though. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:56:55 But I know what you mean. Ain't the black pearl, I get that. But it was pretty cool. No, it's the pink pearl. Yeah, it was the pink pearl. Can I take a couple of filthy, yucky, normy questions? Yes. All right, so this is about provision.
Starting point is 00:57:03 So, Kay Sis asks, she wants to know like, how much time do you actually really get when you read the preference sheet, how would you figure out to get all these provisions for all these preference sheet things? Is that real, the time frame? It's real, it's awful. Y'all are non-sterroises, so intense.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Yeah, but those ingredients that you just mentioned, how did you know to order that for that cake? So then I'll find them through during the charter. I'll phone a provisional and then I'll bring them. So I wouldn't have got them, I wouldn't have got them unborn for the beginning of the charter. Okay, so I see the provisions, we did the preference meeting a day before, okay?
Starting point is 00:57:38 And then provisions come at 10 o'clock, guess arrive at 12 o'clock. So that's all real. That's all real. You can just call up. So intense. You can call up somebody in Malta. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:48 I need Zant and we got exactly. And I need it. I just need to do that. I got. But they can't be the way regular chargers work. Do they just do that for key? Oh, my regular chargers. You can get what the fuck you want.
Starting point is 00:57:59 There's so much. And wait, and is it, but isn't there a lead? Exactly. No, it's exactly how it is. If you want something, you pay enough for it, you'll get it. Oh, but I swear to you guys, what you're seeing, what these guys are doing and no, it's honestly, it's quite incredible. It's fucking gnarly for us because it is so intense and you're in itself is tough, okay? Yeah. But when we have a one day turnaround, okay?
Starting point is 00:58:26 And we get provisions at 10 o'clock and guess a ribat 12 and I can't do any pre prep. It's so difficult for everyone. So this is the difference between housewives and below deck. Right. We are, everyone has grown and working so hard. Like honestly it's almost, what everyone does.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Kyle Richards is just putting with Mauricio. What all of that through, what all the interior, You're working so hard. Right. Honestly, it's almost what everyone does. Kyle Richards is just putting with Mauricia. What all the interior, what myself, what like, what Captain San he has to deal with, like it's super, it's so intense, man. That's so crazy. I think they have to make it that way or else the show wouldn't be so.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Exactly, it will be more entertaining. Coincidentally running out of the fucking galley, I'm going there, I'm looking at this lobster that I've just been delivered. I'm like these are dead They're dead. This is on my menu for lunch. I need to see VD's fuckers now for lunch Yeah, and they're dead. They're like they're not dead. I'm like a stink like shit a dead Like this that happens so they don't have to change the menu and then and then sometimes we can't print menus because we had already printed the menu Right, so we have to we're always on a time. And you do always print a menu.
Starting point is 00:59:25 We had to begin and we didn't, and we just got to just got to intense. So we do try to do that because it's, people will know what they want to do. Where you get Ernie and Malta. Where you get Ernie from and Malta. We got it sent out, we got it shipped. From where?
Starting point is 00:59:38 London. London. All right, so here's another, like, kind of just fun thing, trope of the show. How close is the time between them showing you guys running up on the top of the deck to greet new charter guests
Starting point is 00:59:52 as opposed to how that really works? So they make it look like you guys just lined up before you're an eyesight. You've just buttoned that last one. And that happens. That happens. I literally am prepping all morning. I'm in my reds, so I don't get shit on my white jacket.
Starting point is 01:00:06 A run downstairs, put my jacket on. And most of the time, I wasn't there on time. There's one time, we weren't there on time. It's so real, it's always like on the nail, at the time. It's so, I want to credit it. Honestly, it's so real. What you're seeing, it's so intense,
Starting point is 01:00:20 and it's so good, I swear down, it's exactly what's happening. When Tash wasn't there on the last episode, because she was finishing detiding and she was finishing her drink. She was making a smart pleasure. That question was by Gabby Lehman. All right, so one more question from the listeners
Starting point is 01:00:37 and I think we have another video question to maybe wrap this up. Okay, so Mia Coleman wants to know, Dave, who from the crew would you never work with again? And I think I know the answer. And he says, if he says Natasha, don't let him get away with that, choose someone else. I just heard someone say, write yourself on a scale of one to ten, don't say seven. Everybody's going to say seven to guy and play it.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Well, most of us are sevens. I think that's an accurate answer. But I'm just saying, but wait but if you go six or eight, kind of tells you a lot, it's the same thing. Don't say Natasha. Obviously. It looks, I would say six. Besides, I would probably say eight.
Starting point is 01:01:12 I think it's gonna be Jason because he's a prey. No, it's a seven. An all honesty, like what I actually built a relationship with Jason. So I actually thought he was a rock. No, honestly, I actually thought he was a good blow towards, honestly, I actually thought he was a good blow towards the end Yeah, he just thought he was better than anyone else. Well, he's pretty much playing the game now He was on Wall Street in the end. I played a game, but I'm not gonna. It's he fucking touched
Starting point is 01:01:34 I'm not gonna sink. I'm not gonna sink to that level and and and all honestly People saying Natasha. I actually She can't like she can't I felt that she can't manage or delegate But she is she's on on service. She's good at a job man. Yeah, she's a worker like she can't I felt that she can't manage or delegate but she is she's on on service She's good at a job man. Yeah, she's worker like she is if I didn't have all that shit Well, that was going on it would have it would have it would have gone really well I'm shocked at how well you guys work together despite the job Okay, can I say something that really to me like black and white?
Starting point is 01:02:02 This is really bothersome and I think you guys do your interviews that they cut in between months later. They'll talk to you later. Why do you think he's out here? You don't go out. You come up fresh as days and everybody's feeling like big pieces of shit after they're naïve out, they're hungover. She comes up and hugs you because you're all bright and cheery. Then they cut to this OTF of her saying,
Starting point is 01:02:28 I'm so glad Dave didn't go out to help and never goes out. It was, it was, it was better. I think I crushed it. Well, definitely on the side. It was better. Yeah, everything I was sitting, that was, I was kind of a bit like, that kind of hurt a bit, you know.
Starting point is 01:02:42 I bet, but that's, I mean, look, I didn't make a, like I said, I ain't coming here to point fingers at anyone. I did make a, I also, I also made a, I also made a life quite difficult, you know, and I'm not, and I'm not innocent. So, but what I'm, All I'm saying is that wasn't a question. It pisses me off.
Starting point is 01:03:01 We are also commentators. And I think that was black and white. You're kidding me. And the question about who would I not, I would actually, an all honesty, I'd actually work of all of them again. Oh, that's sweet. I would, because the shit that happened between me and Natasha, which was so personal,
Starting point is 01:03:19 I still think she's good at a job. She is. I don't think she's bad at a job. And with regards to Jason, I don't have to work with that, right? I don't think she's bad at a job. River Garza Jason, I don't have to work with that, right? I don't have to deal with that. Storm is so on it and he wants things to be done the way he wants it. Jason wanted things to be done the way he wanted it, right? Well, this is, but I can't comment on that. So right now I didn't see everything. And the fact between Courtney and Z, oh mate, they're fucking hell. No, listen, Tosh and a loyal,
Starting point is 01:03:48 and a loyal, and they'll give everything for the crew, right? Tosh is a mancunian, she's probably got a good work ethic in her, people who come from that place are, you know, pretty sturdy people. What kind of patehats? You were smothering her, so I'm sure that she was. I don't know. No, no, I was, I was literally, You were smothering her so I'm sure that she was... One hundred, hold on. No, I was.
Starting point is 01:04:07 I was literally, I was completely convinced that we were gonna be happily fucking a whole lot. Why would he think that? I was, man. I know, I know. I was. It just hurts so much. I'm so smitten.
Starting point is 01:04:20 And did I have a few of those fucking psycho-look moments and stuff which I've seen where your job falls off Yeah, sure, I said I do that anyway I said why would you get the impression that she was into you because you walked on the boat and she said we're in the same cabin Okay, my Wow, where would you be confused? Where you're at hold on hold on hold on hold on all right, ubus 50 times all right hold on all right So how they will last list of a question wants to know do you have a girlfriend now? I don't know okay
Starting point is 01:04:50 I don't have a girlfriend. I'm working on it But I'm a full-known mad moving around a lot ladies in Los Angeles Get them up in the DMs, okay, and don't live in Venice. It's too expensive and there are too many homeless people All right, so I want to ask you about he He was talking to Dave, not the women that are going to DM Dave. That was ambiguous to me the way I heard it. No, no, no. One more question about food and then we got to get to our last listener question.
Starting point is 01:05:18 The, the, she-so. Oh, no. Is she that leaf? Does it hype it? Um, the, she-so corner. The she's a leaf. That's a little hype it. This sour mango, lingueini. It was delicious. It sounds gross as fuck.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Oh my God. The fuel, the, the floral leaf, right? Yeah. Texture actually has a bite to it, more so than a flower tortilla. What was the fish? Hang on. Don't judge it to your taste. What was the fish?
Starting point is 01:05:44 Salmon. It was salmon. Okay, so salmon from Scotland Julian mangoes a little bit a little bit on ripe so it's a bit sour. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he says me a little bit green A little bit seasoning and then and then the leaf no it was actually I'll do it for you one time Really good man. Don't judge it. Okay, it sounds like a car crash You got to think about salmon. Yeah, so much fat. It's like butter. Right. So now we've got this kind of mango over a little bit of a crunch to it. Okay. Julie, I'm gonna text you. The way is Julie and you won't get it all in one piece. So it comes in essence. When it hits you. Did you use a mandolin or did you use the word stuff? I sliced it.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Okay. I sliced it. Okay. And then on that leaf, the leaf is almost like picture-steaming at all. Yeah. Okay. It's a hit. It has a fight. When you put in your mouth, it pulls away. So it's not like putting a wilted bit of spinach in your mouth. Right. No, of course. Of course. It's good. I'll do it for you and then you can I'm so excited. Dave's going to move to our last answers. Him and I are going to be buddies. So maybe we'll invite you over to
Starting point is 01:06:43 party where we have Dave. Great. I'd love to kick you guys. Oh God, that'd be so sick. I just want to say that before we get to this last video question, I've like, we've established, I'm trash. Don't know anything about food. Yeah. I'm always just like, he talks, he does these reviews when they show the meals. And that's why we're so upset at this season not seeing the meals
Starting point is 01:07:02 as much when we have actually a competent chef He does these glowing reviews. They're very like he's great. He's great writer And he talks about the food and I'm always like a gabe Yeah, but then I'm like am I just an idiot and he's just saying words But he seems to be really digging into some real culinary question. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I always knew Last video let's get to this last video question and I appreciate the plot it I appreciate it I mean it's also somewhat back I was like skeptical okay but not I knew that's what I'm saying what is this the first is after seeing the season so far and seeing things that you hadn't while you were filming, do you regret getting involved with Natasha?
