Starting point is 00:00:00 Is he an actual southern gentleman, cat? Or a douchebag? I think that he presented himself as a southern gentleman. Like, how viewers saw it? Like, he's like, I have the rules dating. I'm a mother's boy. You know, I don't know. Like, he's like for a southern gentleman on for Matt.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Yeah. But then his true colors came out. Yes, they did. And I think he's just in a time of his life where he's a player. Like, he just didn't care. Welcome to a remote viewing party. It's Pat and Dill. ad TV
Starting point is 00:00:49 3,000 miles away I longed for you I longed for that room How are you? I miss you too And by the way The audio's not bad It's going to sound a little booming
Starting point is 00:00:59 A little different But come on You can tolerate We're trying to get better For those that are Watching us on YouTube Like a movie I got this beam of light
Starting point is 00:01:11 Do you see this thing It looks like a lights Oh we're recording for YouTube Yeah I figured we should We'll just throw it up It'll be a zoo Zumi, yeah. Oh, by the way, I want to thank some of the viewers that watch us on YouTube like a movie. They gave us a lot of, a lot of hints and instruction on making it look like my face wasn't so fat. And it seems like some pretty solid advice. So, Kalin, you're hearing this over the audio. You're fired. What was the audio? What were the tips? They have the light at my face level, right? And you shouldn't do that. Okay, got it. He should know that. Okay. I thought it was going to be tips like NED, like blood youth supplements or like some kind of surgical procedure or something like that.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Oh, no, I look fine. I'm 171 pounds. Why do I look like a 260 pounds on camera? Okay, so Kailen's fired. Yeah. Okay. All right. So I think that's a fitting way to end this season. I mean, it's cool dude. But yeah, fuck it. He's fired. Okay. So we have the finale. He has one job. Make me look good. But do you see the lightsaber coming down from the ceiling? I do. I have to lean to both sides of it. Yeah. Don't let it live out there.
Starting point is 00:02:30 You're okay? Yeah, yeah. Let me filibuster. My mic fell out. Okay. There you go. Can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you now.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Okay, great. Okay, sorry. So, yeah, we're here to cover the season finale of below deck. And you look great. Thank you. anything my way or oh you look very handsome okay
Starting point is 00:02:52 we've got to break down this last episode of this the 80th season of below deck um pat tell him about a patron before we get into it oh sure all right boy uh so we put salt lake city the real housewives of salt lake city behind the paywall
Starting point is 00:03:10 which i think was a good move on our part because uh old patty's getting really offensive back there uh I have nothing good to say about this woman named Mary Cosby. Right, right, right. It's just a horrible person. And I don't know. We just let loose back there. And then we have traders, which I think is going to still be free, Dylan.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Is that what we're doing? Yeah, or something like that. Think of Patreon as like we're doing some kind of hard drug behind a shed or something. You know what I mean? That's where we really get to have fun. And Pat can say things about Mary Cosby that some would find two soon. Yeah. And by the way, and I don't want to threaten the audience, but if our numbers don't hit what I want, then we're putting traders behind the wall, too. So that's a thing.
Starting point is 00:03:54 All right. All right. So we're here to. And I've been promised in the audience. There's a show called Still Flipping Out, hosted by an evil man named Jeff Lewis. I watched the first two episodes. He's up to his old tricks, which is he hires, I'm going to say he's like Howard Stern. He surrounds himself with people that he knows are weaker than him. I'll just call him the whack pack, but they're all gay. And then he demeans them. He pits them against each other for his own amusement. And God, it never gets old for this fucking old asshole.
Starting point is 00:04:27 He just, first episode right out of the gate, he just pits him against each other. Is it great television? Yes, but is it getting old? Yes. Will I go after him in the chumps? I can't even call him the chumps. I'm just going to call him the whack pack because that's what they are your whackpacks. What is the chumps?
Starting point is 00:04:41 Where is that from? I think you're not going to believe this. I think, I think Shannon Bador's husband was getting made fun of them by them, and he called them a bunch of chumps. And they found such delight in that that David called them that, that they nicknamed themselves the chumps. I believe that's the origin story.
Starting point is 00:05:00 But who cares? There are a bunch of weak whackbackers that he'll fire at any moment. So Jeff Lewis, come from me, buddy. Come from me. Does he bang them? yeah and this is the difficulty with uh with the remote parties but listen um will okay are you back oh i'm going to always add a little bit of uh a review of the latest episodes of still flipping out but it's always the same episode he's angry he's smog and he's going to demean an employee
Starting point is 00:05:39 and pick the other rackbackers against that employee. I got it. You do not like Jeff Lewis. You think that he is an evil man. Last question on Jeff Lewis before we get into blood. Does he fuck the bunch? The chumps? The chumps?
Starting point is 00:05:52 Yeah, does he fuck the chumps? No, they're too poor for him. That's below him. That's below his pay grade. But his ex, his ex husband is now banging his ex-boyfriend. That's cruel and unusual. But I got to say kind of tight to not have sex with people. that are too poor and you're grossed out by them.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Why, Jeff Lewis? Okay, can we talk about this season finale? You know, we constantly lament that the quality of the season finale is you're a little lackluster below deck. There's a lot of good buys. There's a lot of loose threads, not really tied up because there's no resolution with sea rats. That's the problem with the season finale. These people are not learning anything.
Starting point is 00:06:33 These people are not changing anything. They're just sea rats going on to the new node of sea ratdom, you know? So it's a little bit anti-climactic, whimper, not a bang. But this one, you know, I think it, you know, I think maybe, you know, for a season finale, Bullittac, I didn't think it was that bad. I give it two pots. I agree. Typically, this is just a snore fest.
Starting point is 00:06:58 The last 15 minutes are just those walking around the boat hugging each other, saying, this is you changed my life. You're my best friend. And then we find out that they never talked again. No, this actually this season, I know Andy can't stand the sea rats. We find out that they choked their girlfriend and now they're living as a runaway in a forest. Well, I'd say, you know, a lot of people take umbrage with your description of what took place at that apartment. He physically assaulted her.
Starting point is 00:07:26 But, yeah, Andy Cohen despises the sea rats, although this show is, they just bring the brink truck off at Andy's house. dump a bunch of money there because of this show, but he has no respect for them. So he doesn't give them a reunion. Dare I say, if ever he was going to bring back the reunion for Below Deck, it would have been for this season. Oh, yeah. Because there's so many, where are they now's? What's happening now?
Starting point is 00:07:52 Can I tell you, though, they're, they're, they're, I don't want to, I don't want to besperch Bravo and their coverage of, of their show. It's their show. It's a great show. They, you know, they're free to do what they want with it. not one mention of this Nate stuff. And you could take the other angle. Like, can we have a conversation about this?
Starting point is 00:08:13 This will be helpful. It's informative. It's good to know that this stuff happens. But let's just take it the route of entertainment and a fan of the show. No, you're not going to call attention to this in any way, shape, or form. No title card. Not going to address it. We're just going to sweep it under the rug and pretend it like it never happens.
Starting point is 00:08:31 It's kind of like ABC's The Bachelor kind of PR strategy. Just let it go. the door and forget it like it never happened yeah yeah no the reason why you have an amazing audience is because there's so many outlets for them to talk about this stuff and thank god there's that community or we'd all think we're losing our fucking mind because you guys don't address these issues right on the actual show right so and like we said we i think that we can meet in the middle and say maybe let's do maybe let's just do a interview a resume look over before we bring people on of the boat, but I don't want much more than that.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Okay. This does not need to be an arduous, strenuous process, okay? We should be letting really anyone on these boats. Two pods, go ahead. Okay. One last note. So we are going to put our interview of Kat somewhere in this episode right in the middle. This is probably going to be a long one.
Starting point is 00:09:29 But yes, I would like to know what happened after did Kat and Cooper or Haynes? out with Joe, what happened? You know, or at least give us what Orange County does at the end of each season when they play that little acoustic guitar medley where they give us, you know, where's Lynn Curtin's kids now? What happened after the show stopped filming? One of them turned to crystal meth and, uh, and, uh, porn and, uh, and lost a few fingers. I'd like to know that.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Can you just give us a title card saying Lynn's doing well, but her child did get into drugs, porn and lost multiple fingers? Like, can we have a fuck? title card. Yeah, like a kind of where are they now? Yeah, exactly. All right, how many pots? All right, I thought it was a great season. And, you know, for a show that has now been on since 2012, so it's at 14 years
Starting point is 00:10:19 we're going on, it's still just chugging along, still having better seasons than it did six years ago. I mean, this show ain't going nowhere. No. It's amazing. And I also want to give props to, all right, so it always starts with the casting. And this show is cast by husband and wife team. Props to them.
Starting point is 00:10:39 Sometimes, very few times have they had some poor seasons. This season, out of the park. Mostly, an amazing cast of mostly made up of fuckups and original fuckups. It's hard to find originality in fuckups these days. You know, we have, I want to shout out two sea rats. I want to shout out Luke, who is just a walking bag of cringe, right? But he is an original sea rat. I mean, he came in his bosses, sheets.
Starting point is 00:11:12 He did not clean them for so many days. He remained next to the boat so that he could wear a wig and beard combo that looks like Santa Claus fuck George Harrison and then got wine thrown on him. And you have to say thank you for that. But I think the biggest thanks we owe is to Jen, who just delivered. in a way that i don't do sea rats have delivered in the past rookie sea rats i mean she came in here and was just her goofy oftentimes narsty self and it was just really really entertaining delavan
Starting point is 00:11:52 i gotta tell you yes you very eloquently said uh for that reasons and many many more amazing season 14 knots uh all right so we pick it We, there's a lot of meanwhiles on this episode. I can start us off if you like. Well, I'm just saying for you and for the audience, it's just, it's kind of all over the place. But we pick up with some of the fabulous, the fabulous drag queen on her way to the boat. Pay lie low. I thought it was Febano.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I thought it was pay lie low. Could be. Could be that. Could be pay lie low? I thought it was pay lie low. Because it couldn't be that, I don't think. I don't know. And then flight attendant Caitlin, and they get picked up for that dinner.
Starting point is 00:12:45 And when I saw this duo, Dylan, originally, I said, well, they're not here to host a how I met your mother trivia night. You know what I made? No, no, no. They're here to fuck shit up, okay? This assistant is, I mean, she's really, what is the, what is the saying? She's got life by the balls. So, I mean, this woman is walking around trying to bang sea rats until five o'clock in the morning, waking up and just sucking down more booze. She is a delight.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Absolutely, sir. Now, the first thing of note, and I caught it, which is upon Caitlin entering or joining the vessel, Joe greets her. And he takes the time to explain the cut on his face. And I want to say this about Joe, because that's what was one of the most amazing things about this. show in this journey was Joe showed Joe. Like there's Joe was Joe through and through this episode. Like sure, a couple episodes you kind of forget the old Joe the hoe, but no, he's still there.
Starting point is 00:13:48 He's still there. He'll still tell his boss who we also hate. Man, I miss the guy that didn't have kids. He meant it. That was the drunken Joe the hoe. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's still that, that, what is it called?
Starting point is 00:14:03 arrested development man child in there. And Joe was distracted this season by the tension with Nathan but if he didn't have that I know that Kaylee would have been in tears by episode 14, 15.
Starting point is 00:14:14 He just didn't have enough focus. He couldn't commit to that lane. But Joe does go up to this. Joe goes up to this assistant who is here to get fucked up and he says, he apologizes for his face
Starting point is 00:14:31 that he knows to oddly many women is not anything that he needs to apologize for. So he's slam a game right away. Here's a test. If it was a dude that popped in, would you have apologized to that dude? No, this is you. You cannot help but flirt with women. You need attention from women.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And women are awesome. So, you know. But calm down, buddy. Let's get to the other piece of shit on the boat. Who's that? Cooper? Well, Cat, meanwhile, Cat chats Kup to support him because he's going the extra mile to dress up for drag that night. And she's like, oh, you're, you know, and he's old to her. And, you know, one thing Kat has done.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Can you say all that again? Can you say all that again? Because you were, you were. Well, you know, the audience hears it. You didn't, but the audience here. Oh, okay. Well, basically, he was cold to her despite her being very supportive. and warm to him.
Starting point is 00:15:36 And what I have not gotten from Kat, maybe she, in the interview we're about to play, she explained it. She just did not listen to her gut, which is she should have let this go long time ago. Yeah, but she did not listen to her.
Starting point is 00:15:50 She's a very young woman. And also Cooper kind of, he got like Godzilla nuclear. The further of the season went, he grew into more and more of a douchebag. And we go back to this, this, this, this will I or won't I kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And we've talked to, break up with her. We've all been here before, but he goes, yeah, I'm trying to think if I need to have this conversation really at all because we got one day left and then I'm bringing
Starting point is 00:16:22 her to go-karting with Joe. And that's going to be way too fun to have a serious conversation. So I think I'm just going to leave it alone. Okay. Here's the wonderful, when you're a dickhead on a show, like below deck that is once again just a juggernaut. This is actually your payback, Coop, is that three years from now, you may even be in a healthy relationship, maybe you've grown some.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Bravo will decide to run an all day Saturday marathon of your season and your fucking DMs will light up because there's a bunch of morons that watch it like that season is just happening. They'll find you and they'll start telling you what a horrible. person you are. And you'll have to relive that all over again. I've talked to a number of sea rats that they're like, well, I guess they're running my season today because my, my Instagram is blowing up. So I think I'm just going to have to turn it off today. Well, you know, it's the price we pay, right? It's just the price we pay. Now, Joy has to cook a ton of protein or or the harem of gaze upstairs.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And we forgot to mention that this guy, Tristan, is, I don't think. a very good person. His restaurant and bar and grill is a little bit like X2 at Six Flags. So X2 has famously been killing people for like 15 years
Starting point is 00:17:48 and it has not been shut down. People have been getting roofied at the Abbey. Just like Rina famously was like, I went to the Abbey and I don't know, almost died and wound up at the LA Zoo.
Starting point is 00:18:03 To be, to be, fair they weren't trying to have sex with her they just wanted her to fall asleep to stop talking you know what that's a really good point um so sandy tells joy um that you she stands out from all the others and and it's this kind of comment on an emotional sleep deprived day that can turn an employee of a yacht into just a puddle okay joy has never heard anything that's validating gratifying or sweet before and she starts to weep but listen we've got a bunch of gays upstairs that we have to feed and we did a little look back on the season that was before we get to dinner because this season they have not held back once and we've talked about this many times
Starting point is 00:18:51 just make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but no instead they dress up in sharks and pretend to be dragons they also make pasta for people who are super pissed off that they haven't left the deck in two days So they have really done it this year. Oh, yeah. Five-star service. We are going to be doing Drag Night. Their dinner, which they love, protein skewered on a grill. And it begs the question, like, I understand wanting to be committed to your body.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I understand wanting to take care of the netheres, especially when you're doing kind of like six boyfriends on one trip kind of thing. But like if you're enjoying a dinner on a yacht that's just chicken on a stick, that's not fucking luxury. That's not enjoyment to me. Okay. I agree. What are you doing out here? It's just crazy.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Okay. If you're Tristan, which is you've probably, you've probably experienced about all the things that a human being can experience on the planet. right immense wealth all the clubs all the drugs now you're of a certain age i guarantee you he is not hunted large and dangerous game probably not but uh he probably would um but i'd say he's too shallow for this but i'd say an experience now would not be the skewers or the protein uh it would be who you surround yourself with to actually have a real good time drinking on the deck at night with a glass of wine kicking it up sharing old stories and saying look what we've what we've accomplished so far he doesn't have those he just he doesn't have those yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:20:47 i mean they're great too don't get me wrong they're lovely lovely um assholes i mean some of them are nice okay so um we get to the the drag show with uh pay lie low and her two helpers a married Oh, no, no, we have three helpers. Mariela Cupertella, and I believe Jessipel was just Jen? Mm-hmm. Okay. I have to tell you, Coop makes a really
Starting point is 00:21:19 fucking homely drag queen. He really does. I agree. I thought that she was hideous. So the drag thing, they do their thing, and... No real standout moments.
Starting point is 00:21:31 No. No. No. Why don't I have written down Joy gets ready to rip some shots? I don't think she ripped shots Joe gets ready to rip some shots Oh okay so that's that's a minute
Starting point is 00:21:46 They're sucking it out of his navel Okay so after dinner Joy makes protein snacks for all the snarky gays And then she goes to bed And that's when Caitlin looks for Joe the hoe And she finds him of course And she wants to do body shots And because his tip depends on it
Starting point is 00:22:03 He allows it But only five times Now to be fair Joe the home. His tip depends on it. That's right. And he's, he'd have a pretty good argument in court that he's, he's pretty consistent. It's, uh, all customers are welcome to Joe's body. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, you kidding me. He is a sizzler buffet. His torso is a sizzler buffet. Homeless people can drink and eat off a bit. Okay. Well, not. No, not homeless people. Yeah. Well, the night ends with Caitlin in search of Joe wandering around the boat till. I think you said five in the morning. I think that's about right. She refers to Nathan.
Starting point is 00:22:49 She says, I need you to find him. I need you to show me to his bed. Now, she referred to herself as a cougar. I take a real issue with this. Women in their mid-30s, which I believe is probably her age, referring to themselves as a cougar is not a thing. And also, I don't want to be crass here, but in a lot of porn, they refer to certain women as cougars in porn, you know, just it's all wrong here. First off, I don't like the term cougar because it's, I don't think that fits either.
Starting point is 00:23:22 But women in their 15th. Why? Because cougars are scary? Well, I just don't. They're hunters, but all right, here's what cougar is. A woman in their 50s trying to bang a guy that's 30 years younger than them. That's the term. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:38 You know, thank you so much for bringing this up because I've off thought of the late that we're really, really just stretching this word thin. I mean, people are kukers when they, like you mentioned, mid-30s, we're not talking kooker here, okay? Who's the lady in the graduate that does the stuff? That's a kooker, okay? Yeah. Get out of here. You know that was, what's his face his wife? Who wrote space balls?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Murph Griffin Okay, so can we get to Next morning Well, I do want to say that Nathan Despite hating Joe with all of his heart Goes, I cannot I cannot lead this woman to his bed That is a bridge too far
Starting point is 00:24:24 Well, that would I think he understands There's a line where With diminishing returns And also it would affect him as well Had he done that That would have hurt him if he could have found a way to do it where it wouldn't have heard him he would have done it
Starting point is 00:24:41 no he would have been fired but yeah i was just joking around all right so let's get to the next day lee is coming to see sandy and listen sandy has i think we've really turned a corner with sandy and i think sandy herself has really turned a corner yeah she cut the shit with her bullshit she did we we are like uh like barram of bullshit. When you're being a phony on TV, we've watched enough TV as most of the planet has, but this is why we're good at what we do. We see fake and then we mock it and she was being fake for a very long time. Right. But she has crone. She's sat back in that chair and she's very comfy. Leah arriving, listen, I think it's beautiful. Their love, they do really seem to be in love.
Starting point is 00:25:35 a sturdy a sturdy lovely couple i just not we have red wine to throw on people okay and lea and sandy will be you know featured prominently enough for me this episode look they you got to find a balance when you're editing a show you have enough disgusting uh uh misogyny on the boat you got to you got to balance it with a little love a little heart now um the the the lady wakes up in the morning as we mentioned immediately gets to boozing. And they hear of the dog, um, uh,
Starting point is 00:26:12 effective tool for remedying the effects of alcohol poisoning or not. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, because, you know, when you're hung over, you are laden with, uh, anxiety.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Um, and one way to kick anxiety is just to fucking fire up some booze through your nervous system. Mm-hmm. I do think that is the single most, most effective measure because people think, oh, you go get greasy food, you go smoke hot.
Starting point is 00:26:44 No, no, no. Or vodka on ice and just drink it and stare at the wall. You'll feel better. Then, go back to sleep. All right, now we're getting we're getting in for the docking here. And this is where
Starting point is 00:27:00 Nate reflects back on the season, the ups, the downs. And he tells us, and this was like a little wink to the camera, he says, One thing he knows about himself, and this is a direct quote, is he can go through some shit and always come out the other side. And he's not lying. When he was getting ready to go to jail, he went through customs and then landed in another country. So that's technically going through some shit and coming out on the other side, in this case, another country. So I love that you zeroed in on this because I did as well in just, I mean, I don't even, given what we know.
Starting point is 00:27:37 know, even if we didn't know what we know. One of the most empty things we've heard on this show in some time, because there are a lot of platitudes uttered by the sea rats, you know, you've got to kind of cling on to those things that can kind of crystallize your direction in life. But Nathan's saying, no matter what, I'm going to go through shit, it's like, okay, so you're running from the law and you're now. you know, um,
Starting point is 00:28:09 cooking hot dog somewhere. What does that mean that you went through it and you came up the, like are you still going? He says he always comes out on the other side. Yeah. Okay. But I would say he wasn't like he's technically on the other side. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Yeah. No, it's a super good point. Um, so Joe and Cooper are, um, uh, there's an enmeshing with these two that is,
Starting point is 00:28:37 bizarre and I'm not talking about the homoerotic undertones between the two of them that just happens with close guy friends but their level of intimacy talking about getting rings talking about the brotherhood that they have with one another
Starting point is 00:28:52 yeah it's very very odd well also bonding over their fucking dads cashing out when they were real young yeah and that's where we get to the C-Rat sad scale being the cause of this so Joe was abandoned by his father so he's looking for male companionship and Cooper.
Starting point is 00:29:09 It's like, I don't know if that's true, but I also don't care. I find the foundations of relationships, whether it be, you know, bonding over actual relationships, not just friendships. A bonding on almost exclusively trauma is not a good glue to lay down as your foundation. Yeah, but, you know, I just heard eat homes. Oh, your uncle touched you. Two. I heard Pete Holmes say recently,
Starting point is 00:29:41 and he was quoting another author, but he said that, you know, when you fall in love with somebody, it's not your interests that align. Your wounds are reflected in the person that you love. I think that's so beautiful. And maybe,
Starting point is 00:29:57 stupid. Maybe immense drama is just a little bit too much to bond over. But who knows? Pete, this is why you never hit, buddy. No, he hit in his own way. He's a beautiful human being.
Starting point is 00:30:08 beautiful human being. Not a household name. All right. Not a household name. Not a household name. You're a loser. You're a loser. You're a loser.
Starting point is 00:30:19 So let's get to the guest leaving. They thank Joe and Cooper specifically. And while I was not a fan of how snooty these people were, and while I am going to just be uncool and say it's like kind of inappropriate to use people's torsos that way. They did tip very, very well. And we've said many times, many times. I wouldn't necessarily turn Cooper's nipples into a Hershey's kiss.
Starting point is 00:30:56 But if you pay for it and it's a sea rat, it's fine. That's right. Yeah. So before we get there, though, the sea rats all chat. Jen is not having a good time and she is ready to never hear Luke's name ever again she is
Starting point is 00:31:16 Pat dare I dare I ask you to venture into the mind of Jen here why is she so hung up on Luke because she mentions again that she's not going to ever see him again apropos of nothing and then says
Starting point is 00:31:32 I'm in my 20 he's pushing 40s it just seems like she's very very preoccupied with Luke Well, not being a woman, I'm just speaking out of my ass, but women generally with intimacy, giving a tug job. For us, it's, you know, it could have been a raccoon or a dog doing that down there, you know. But for a woman, that's a very intimate act because they don't do it as often. Not a raccoon because the paws are too small and scratchy. And not a dog because the paws get a little bit too dry.
Starting point is 00:32:04 But also, I think both those are illegal. Well, no, not that. But there are plenty of other creatures with smooth palms or appendages that are, you get the point, okay? Fine. A chimpanzee. Right. Oh, that could go south quick. Let me move on.
Starting point is 00:32:21 The point is, is women, I think they take those kinds of acts. And I believe they had sex, too. Yes, they did. And so when he just treated it like he did, which was very, very cruel. That bothered her. And it stuck with her. And especially with, I don't know, 19 cameras filming it.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I can see how someone could hold a grudge. Yeah, spoiler alert. Hate to break it to you. You are going to see him again. We give you the final tip ending of the season. It is $35,000. Did we have 50? Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 00:33:04 It was with that guy who told Nathan he thought he was a dick. Again, just tip well. That's all you need to do. Now, Leah's coming to the boat and going to be coming to dinner. And then Sandy is going to cook her dinner and she's going to need some pointers. All right, got it. You two crazy kids have a good time. So Gail and Nathan, no.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Gail and Nathan, well, yes, Nathan is texting Gail because they're both getting ready to leave this hellscape that they have signed away six weeks to. You can't be too judgmental because, you know, everybody can quarterback on Monday morning. But this is a horrible idea. And I think the two of them are very, very grateful that it's over. More so Gail than Nathan. Gail is very happy for this to be over. I think that I was with my two kids today. My wife and I was, sorry, Dale.
Starting point is 00:34:03 I was with my two kids today. It was one of the worst Sundays I've had a long time. Quentin was an absolute fucking dickhead just crying all day, fighting with his sister. I was like, God, if I could,
Starting point is 00:34:16 if I could drop him off at the fucking fire station, I would. Not for, like, just for like a week. And I knew that you were going to say that. I knew that that wasn't forever because you don't, I mean,
Starting point is 00:34:30 the cops would, like my family would be asking where he is. Right. But, but if you could get two days, just fire station just fire station the point i'm making is gail essentially was left alone with that kid with no help
Starting point is 00:34:44 so i don't know if we can just start start doing a parent corner on some shows i mean i guess that's why we do ap s but lucy tonight was just i mean what a little asshole just flipping out spitting food all over the place screaming crying she wants the cat she doesn't want the cat it's just like you know somebody commented under on patreon you can't negotiate with terrorists and we really appreciate those words and it's so true they are little terrorists okay are um so good luck with take gale so joe and cooper are
Starting point is 00:35:18 flipping each other's ass ass cheeks in front of one another is prepping to go out to the restaurant for the final dinner yeah they're prepping to go to the final dinner and um sandy and lea they come for a very very brief moment and then leave and then we rip some shots and we get to work. Now, Sandy and Leah have a little dinner back at the boat. Joy has made them a pan of rice errone and old scallops, and they are pigs and shit.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Now, Nathan at dinner gives a little halftime speech just to tell everybody that he's proud of the fucking adversity they overcame and the unity in this group of guys. And Kaylee is moved to damn near tears. She goes, it was a pleasure. meet you and your strength is something to behold really. Joe is not happy.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Okay. This rubs Joe the wrong way. Now, Joe's clearly wasted. So there's several things going on here. He is claiming that the real reason he's mad is that Nathan had spoken many untruths in that very short speech.
Starting point is 00:36:28 But I believe he's absolutely upset that perhaps Kaley had fallen under Nate's spell of bullshit. His word, not mine. And so this is where you get to see
Starting point is 00:36:42 the Joe of the past, where he's mad at a girl and he's clearly drunk. He's being a dick. Yeah, he was, I'm trying to get away from this lightsaber right now. He was,
Starting point is 00:36:59 this is what happens. Like, Joe's evening is a cautionary tale for those who want to to booze it up in a major way because like this this can be such a fun night it's your last night you've worked your ass off
Starting point is 00:37:15 let's just not go into the red right like let's just maintain a seven eight let's just have a fun time but no it's got to be the last night is the occasion to go all the way and before you know it you're sitting on the steps crying
Starting point is 00:37:31 weeping okay as Cooper and consoles you. You don't know this person, okay? That's a bad night. Yeah. This is another issue with these dumb cigarettes is the drinking before, pre-drinking before they go out.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Like, why not just a glass of wine? Like, old Patty's fucked up a few times. Don't get me wrong. One time on air. But it's like, you're going out. You're going to have a bunch of cameras there. Who knows how many times you're going to get to see Kaylee. And this is how you behave.
Starting point is 00:38:05 you fucking get ripped up ripped up he has no chance of bedding Kaylee this evening he screams at her and then he lays on the floor crying so Kaylee is not happy with this I have no I have no idea why he's so upset with her it's just the booze talking I think he just didn't like his
Starting point is 00:38:27 girl talking with his his fucking enemy yeah she's not your girl okay you guys are fucking sea rats on a boat Jen gets her flowers from Nate and Asia and Jen I think deserves her flowers Not for changing her behavior for one charter And not being awful for just one charter But for as I said, just entertaining the masses this season
Starting point is 00:38:49 I would have her back in a fucking heartbeat They would never, the audience would rebel As much as we like a crazy, deranged cast member We only want one season of that Oh no, I would take Jen in a heartbeat Okay, so we got a lot to go through. Okay, so Joe texts Luke and Luke is going to arrive in disguise. But meanwhile, we have our breakup.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Coup flirts away with some randos at the club. Kat gets upset. What follows is one of the quickest breakups I've seen in recent memory on reality TV. I think he goes, well, we have Calcutta. And she goes, yeah, that's not happening. And he goes, well, I'm not pursuing anything. And she goes, well, then it's fucking done. And then we hear Kat say, look, I blame myself.
Starting point is 00:39:31 I blame him. I agree with our assessment. And I think we're all done there. Yeah, I mean, he's handing out his Instagram to people at the club at which point, you know, that's like, that's like, that's like God turning into a burning bush and going, hey, come on, this is crazy. You guys are getting treated like shit. I'll, like, split the ocean and half or something.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Imagine if Moses was like, I know, but I just, I just love, I love being here. You know, this is a very loud message. He does not give a fucking shit about you. Move on. That's frozen. So I want to talk. No. By the way,
Starting point is 00:40:14 Jill, wouldn't this be a great time to put that interview in here? Yeah, you know what? Let's throw the cat interview. Well, this is, yeah,
Starting point is 00:40:23 this is cat talking about stuff. The whole season, we ask her a lot of questions. Enjoy this. Okay, Today we are joined by the secret romantic herself. Oh, God. One cat from this merry season of Below DeckMed is joining us.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Cat, hello, thank you for joining us. Thanks for having me. We have so many questions. Our fans, do you want to tell her how rude our fans are? Oh, the barnacles. That's what we call them. They're very rude. Yeah, well, they're not cute.
Starting point is 00:40:59 They're actually Mean. Yeah. It's a kind of Yeah, it's a mob of pitchforks, torches. That's how I'm picturing. Yeah, but you're,
Starting point is 00:41:12 you've been a sweetheart on the show. You've been nothing but good vibes and kindness. So I don't think that we'll have too much animosity. No, no, no. If we were talking to Jen, I think the questions will be a little bit different. No, no. I'm not burned at the steak just yet.
Starting point is 00:41:28 No, these are, I looked through the questions. I just copy-paste them and I have to kind of, as I'm reading them out loud, I generally will sense it. And we start the show off. Every interview we start off by asking the same question. Please tell us about the 1911 explosion in Nova Scotia. Halifax. I do it.
Starting point is 00:41:48 It's the 1911. I'm getting that right. I'm on too short. Off Mike, we were talking about a ruinous explosion. Go ahead. No, why don't we just do our jumping off point as we started here with that whole. secret relationship. Barry Braveman,
Starting point is 00:42:03 Barnacle, says, let's keep this a secret, is definitely a fuck boy move. Ouch, okay. But did Coop have a point that it's annoying having everybody on a boat discuss your relationship?
Starting point is 00:42:16 I understand where he's coming from. And, you know, I felt similarly. It's like, it's a small space and everyone's always asking you like, oh, what's happening? What's the new news? Like, is he treating you well? Like, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:42:28 So there's not much space. to like, you know, there's nowhere to like have space unless you leave, physically leave the boat and go on a date. So, but him using that as an excuse to keep me a secret is not that valid in my opinion. Well, that would lead us to this. I just want to apologize to everybody for that robot voice that came on and said recording in progress. That is amateur. I'm so sorry about that. So, yes.
Starting point is 00:42:56 So Cooper, where and if this is, um, We didn't come up with a safe word, but I will just call it Jimmy Choo. If we're getting into any uncomfortable... It's a health like explosion. Yeah, Halifax Explosion. If we're getting into any explosive territory, please just say that you can't answer it. But, you know, to us, I think that we were protective over Kat just because Kat seems like such a... Thank you.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Just a genuinely wonderful person. And it seemed to us, Pat was more of a pig than I was when he was a young man. but to us it seems very, very obvious that it was an F-U-C-K-B-O-I kind of move. Move, but beneath that move, was Cooper a genuine Southern gentleman, or was that an act and was he an absolute douche-decky? Yeah. How is, is he an actual Southern gentleman, Kat? Or a douchebag. I think that he presented himself as a Southern gentleman.
Starting point is 00:43:57 like how viewers saw it like he's like I have the rules dating I'm a mother's boy you know I come I don't know like he's like first other done on for Matt yeah but then his true colors came out yes they did and I think he's just in a time of life where he's a player like he just didn't care yeah yeah and we talked about it on this episode we're very excited for the gassing up of Cooper to come to a popping point because Cooper's yeah the Instagram account is going up he's going to really be feeling himself in the future so we're looking forward to seeing that and i hope that the two of you um are amenable um okay uh anna and less and this will because we got to get through this cooper stuff yeah ask why cooper thought or maybe you even thought being in that locker uh when when the mics were on uh did you guys think that they they wouldn't hear you in there what was was that about did you truly think that this would be secretive by you guys being in there We just knew that like no one would go in there because there's like, I think it's the little like untapped place in the boat anywhere else in the boat like someone could just walk in. And I feel like that to us is like, oh, it's an escape besides like literally walking off the boat.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Right. But even that if we walked in the boat, a camera could just follow us. Right. So you went into the bomb shelter. The bomb. Exactly. Yeah. To have a little romantic conversation about where you two stood.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Okay. So, Kat, I'm sure we have fan questions about Jen, but I do want to ask Kat about Jen really quickly. I guess there are like general questions we could ask about where you ultimately landed up or landed with one another. We will see what unfolds. But were you, when did the red flag start popping with Jen? I know that you were extremely supportive and patient with her neuroses and paranoia throughout the entire season, what with her animosity? and unflinching vengeance towards Kaylee. But when she starts hitting on Cooper,
Starting point is 00:46:01 was that kind of a breaking point? Or did you always know that you're dealing with somebody who's, let's say, a challenging character? Well, right off the bat, it was like negative and toxic from day one. Like,
Starting point is 00:46:13 it was just complaint after a complaint. But like knowing I'm going to share like a small like living space there, I think by coping, I was like, you know what? It's actually okay. Because what you do as a human, like you to cope with like all the negativity,
Starting point is 00:46:26 you like kind of convince yourself it's fine. Right. But I think that it only progressively got worse and worse, the point where I was like, this is actually I need to say something or this is going to like drive me insane. And her flirting with her flirting with Cooper, like basically in front of my face was so awful just to walk into all the time.
Starting point is 00:46:45 Like I knew it was going on because I would walk into a room and see it. Right. Yeah. And she was very subtle with it too. Oh my gosh. You're a messy sleeper? It's not going to work out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Okay. Yeah, it's brutal. Well, let me ask you this with respect to Jen. We'll keep it on the positive side for now. Were there positive aspects of Jed in that work environment? Yeah, like me and her would laugh all the time. Me and her have a similar sense of humor. So she's really funny and also chronically online.
Starting point is 00:47:15 So that's where we like, why we clicked at the start. Also, we're similar in ages. Like she was 22, I was 23. So we just like got along. Like it says like pop culture, like TikTok stuff. Sure. So that stuff we like would always like jump off of each other. But then when we started working together, it was absolutely atrocious.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Like she was just like, yeah, like it was just working with like the plague. Like she was like walking on the boat. Be like, just angry. I'm like, why are you so angry all the time? Like stop. It's it's tough working around someone who's negative all the time. Yeah. Complainer, perpetual complainer.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Yeah. It brings bad energy. All right. So here's a question. And this is a this from Beth Lander. Hey Beth. Do you think Jen should have been reprimanded along with Luke for not making sure that those sheets were washed? I'm curious what the protocol here is because serial killers, I don't know if you knew this.
Starting point is 00:48:08 They like to keep artifacts of their victims, jewelry, hair strands. Was Jen not washing those sheets to keep the memory of that hand job alive? Well, actually, answer the first question. I'm sorry. What's the protocol? Don't answer that loot hand job question, Pat. Um, I definitely, I like, obviously, we worked in laundry. Well, I worked in laundry.
Starting point is 00:48:29 So I just assumed like someone was going to wash. Even the fact that she told me, I was like, why did you tell me this? So now I know. Right. So she kind of like, involved me on the secret. And I was like, this is awful. But I do think that Luke should just grab the sheets. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Work them in. Yeah. Um, I was like mortified. I do think Luke should have been fired. I think he just should have been fired because he was all, I don't really like him. So as I like that to say. He seemed rather inexperienced. No, no, no, he seemed rather inexperienced for that job.
Starting point is 00:49:03 And simultaneously, he was an F-boy and emotionally immature. I'm not sure about how. Yeah, go ahead, Kat. If you're in your boss's sheets, you should be fired, period. Right. Yeah, maybe I think Jen just said something to make them to actually have them wash earlier. But I think that honestly fell on blue. So when you're doing the laundry, it's up to the people.
Starting point is 00:49:24 in their particular cabins to actually then bring their dirty laundry linens to you guys. You guys don't go in there like cleaning ladies. We don't strip the beds. Like they have like they just bring whenever they want their bed wash. They genuinely just give me the bed. Because guys can be disgusting. So a guy like I think in when I was like 25, I don't I don't think I washed my sheets for a year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:46 No. I mean there there if you go into a young man's, uh, bedroom there will be for example, fire sauce stains on the duvet cover. There also could be semen. But the thing about Luke is that he is much older than that. So leaving, kind of crystallizing semen on your boss's sheets is one of the most unbelievable things we've been watching the show for a long time that we've ever seen. So Luke could have easily post a handjob, just stripped the sheets immediately, brought them in
Starting point is 00:50:22 and said, hey, these are dirty. Easily. Okay. All right. Easily. Even off hours, too. Well, he could have just like dropped them. And I wouldn't even know.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Or he could have just even just spilled a soda on top of them. That's what we were saying. Just froth it to be. Just spill a coffee on the sheets and just get them out of there. It doesn't have to become. Can we ask you, what do you think, not to make you plumb the psychology of, loadstone or a cinder block for too long but what what do you think why do you think Luke
Starting point is 00:51:00 waited three days what is going on there? I think he literally has no brain cells up there okay it's so funny because he has all these riddles and philosophical sayings to think he's intellectually smarter than you and I'm just like you're not right I'm literally 23 at the time And I was like, like, literally like a high school kid would have known to wash those sheets. Right. Wouldn't have even done that at all. He much like Tom Sandoval has been propelled through life on good looks. Really?
Starting point is 00:51:37 Sure. So he's gotten away with a lot. And even that's up to interpretation. Fair enough. I said it. No, it's a torso thing. It's a torso thing. It's a robust torso.
Starting point is 00:51:47 Listener, Louis G. De Benedictus. Hey, Louis G. Bay Denedictus. Hey, Louis, cool it with the long name bullshit. Jesus, fucking great. We've talked about this before. You cannot attack the surnames of the fans.
Starting point is 00:52:00 It's a long name. I know. He's a short-out now. Yeah. Hey, Louis, you said you were friends with Jen in interviews. Has that opinion changed now that you've seen things she's said and done behind your back? No, I'm still in contact with her, but I mean, the season's still airing. No, I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 00:52:19 But either. I feel like, yeah, I just like, I don't know why I was so like, I think I just have a soft spot for Jen. Yeah. And I can't explain why. Yeah. But I do like her. So she's young too. We're all idiots when that were that young.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Yeah. Yeah. We're all idiots. But like we talked about today, there are certain people that do have a corrosive spirit that is tough to fix. Young or old. You spray a little double D40 on there, man. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see what happens with Jen.
Starting point is 00:52:53 We wish her all the best. All right. Moving on. What was your perspective on Nathan as the bosom and his conflict with Joe the hoe? Like, could you, was it palpable in the air? Mm-hmm. Honestly, I had no idea either past history going onto the boat, but everyone on board could send attention.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Like, it was literally, could fill a room. So I was just like, because they worked on the same team, I was like, this is just terrible vibes. And even being close to Cooper. like I could see how it in fact affected him even like especially more when Luke left when the team was even like more of a skeleton of a team so yeah it was just tough to see like being such a small department and that creates a lot of attention on board um this is my question max is a lunatic right okay all right he is so he's just a character i can't even i've never seen anything like him
Starting point is 00:53:44 like he's like right of a cartoon yeah i mean uh he you know, most people either fall for the scam by sending money or they just ignore it. Max, you're referring to the kidnapping. Yes, the kidnapping. Max buys tickets to fly to the Middle East. That is not in the multiple choice.
Starting point is 00:54:05 He just penciled that one in, which is pretty... I generally had no idea what was happening. Like at this point, the season, like everything was so insane. Right. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:54:14 yes, of course, there's some mafia crime happening in the Middle East. that's connected to somebody on board. Like honestly, I was like, that makes sense. Like, honestly, you go on the point of season where, like, everyone was, everything that could go wrong in charge season was going wrong. But I just feel so bad for me because that's such an awful situation to go through, especially when you're like in the middle of the sea.
Starting point is 00:54:33 And I honestly have like, no idea. Like, I was just like, what's happening? Okay. Well, we'll get there. We don't want to get anyone in trouble or spoil anything. I cannot believe that Max's father was being kidnapped. in Tunisia. It has to be a fucking scam. His dad had questionable business dealings. His dad was sketchy. All right. We'll get there next week. I think it was you go to the grocery store and buy
Starting point is 00:55:01 a target gift card and give us the number on the back and that would have. I said to hang up on the guy. He didn't even raise them. Yeah. Okay. See later. I'll wait. Can I say something really quickly? Sure. Of course. One of our favorite things to do on the show is to just gush over Asha, what was Asia like as a chief stew and what was it like when she had to step above deck to help the boys? Because it seemed like you guys did pretty well with Kaylee. But yeah, just talk on Asia's importance on the boat. Oh my gosh. She's just like the best human ever. Like it out of like as a chief stew and as just like a friend. She's just like truly just the best mentor. of life. Like, even in my personal life, I look up to her.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Like, beyond just says, so do we. So do we. Oh, she's just the freaking best man. And she's just like so honest and so authentically herself. Like, it's not an act at all. Like, she's genuinely just a good, funny person. Yeah. And obviously it's like, it was the middle of the charter season. So like, like, like, not having her there was, it was a loss that we felt on the team. Like, but obviously she had to go on deck to help the boys. Yeah. But Kately stepped up and crushed it. Like, like Case just said about Kaylee, Kaley, Kiley's a workforce.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Like she can generally do anything. She, like, is so insanely talented at anything she does. What would the season have looked like if Jen was appointed, uh, second stew over Kaylee? It wouldn't have worked. That could have never happened. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:56:33 In any world that wouldn't have happened. Well, let me ask you this. Do you think Jen in any way while Kaley had the chief stew position, um, do you think not, sabotage would be the word, but held back things that she could have done to have helped Kaylee. I think at that point of the season, like, all the complaining negativity and stuff
Starting point is 00:56:57 and just not helping Kaylee just was a detriment to the whole team and just turned like just slacking off. Like, by her, it was like, yeah, like, you missed a plate, missed a fork. Well, like, just grab it then. Right. You know, it's a team. It's not like we're like, it's an individual talent show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I don't know. I just think she saw it because in shape of a toxic workplace, she was like, well, this must be toxic too. Right. We, we refer to it and Pat coined this term, the game of oars, where certain members of the crew get into this politicking contest about the hierarchy of, no offense. I mean, you guys are chartering yachts. It's not, you know, we're not. We're not saving lives. No, we're not at the Pentagon or anything like that. So, um, yeah. Yeah. It does feel like that at some points. You're like, oh my God, this is like, because it gets so intense and you are isolated from like the rest of the world. Yeah. So it is your own world.
Starting point is 00:57:53 So the hierarchy is. It is our whole world. And it's like literally the captain's like the president of the U.S. Right. Kind of he's the president. Yeah. Well, it's framed that way. It's like really cool.
Starting point is 00:58:05 But like, yeah. So I can see where like it can get to your head. But you just have to like, no, we're working as is the team. Like this isn't like one person against the other. Right. Right. We're making porn stars and printing out Wikipedia sheets on whatever fucking town we're in. It's not. And like throwing planets on the table and calling it a decor. Right, right. All right. Are you comfortable playing a spirited game of Mary F. Kill? Yes, I love that game. Okay. Now this is going to have a little spin on it because it's going to be Mary F. Kill. We're going to have four submissions for you. And then. No, that's not. We've done this before. That's not how Mary F. Kill works. It's three submissions.
Starting point is 00:58:39 The fourth is you can never see this person again. So Mary F. Kill and then never. Disappear. You never have to see this person again or don't want to see this person again. Here are the four names. So what's the game called? Mary F. Kill, never see again. Oh, that's the fourth one.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Okay. You got it. Okay. Okay. Cooper, Joe, Nate, Max. No. Oh, my God. What a lineup.
Starting point is 00:59:08 What a starring lineup. Who did you want to put in there? Cooper, Joe, Nate, Luke. Oh, well, I thought she'd probably say never see him. Yeah, but now we have, you know, some new information that might make that game a little bit more interesting. So who is this? Luke, Nathan, Joe, and Cooper. You're making this very complicated.
Starting point is 00:59:36 No, you're making this very complicated. It's Mary Fakil, you added never see again to the fourth thing. I'm so confused. Okay, I'm going to marry Joe. Joe. You'd marry Joe. Yeah. I had a feeling.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I had a feeling. Okay. Blown away, but you have to listen to that voice. Okay. Who would the other? We could have a live separately. All right.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Who would you have sex with? Okay. Who's the other option? Cooper, Nate, or Max? Oh, God. Sex with. Murderer's role of zeros.
Starting point is 01:00:11 Sir Max. Sir Max. Max. Okay. And then who you're going to kill? who do you never want to see again? Kill Nathan and I never want to see Cooper again. That's all.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Everybody. Kat, thank you so much for joining us. You have been so fun to watch this season. Instagram, where do people follow you? Instagram, Katrina A. Johnston. Katrina A. Johnston.
Starting point is 01:00:41 We salute you. We hope to see you on seasons in the future. Have a great rest of your week. Thank you so much. You too. Thank you. Nice to meet you both. Nice to meet you too, Kay. Bye.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Bye. Okay. She is a delight. I love Kat. Great. Thank you for, thank you for coming on the show. Now, Luke gets to this club. And did you ever watch a rest of development?
Starting point is 01:01:08 Because he has Job energy. He has Job energy when he's walking into this place. He says, he keeps talking about the gesture. that this is he loves the gesture i show up and boom she sees me um the the the the the the big beard combo um it's all so bizarre uh it makes me wonder if he is from this planet or yeah i'm confused something is wrong with him yeah uh he even we did a post that wasn't even about him. He got in our comments and said, I've been called
Starting point is 01:01:48 many things, many times. I could even hear his voice. And I was like, that doesn't even make fucking sense. We're not even talking about you, you fucking idiot. But anyway, Luke himself, he reveals himself and we can feel Jen's hatred
Starting point is 01:02:04 permeate through that room. The second he enters. And Joy has the opposite reaction, of course. And she's pretty happy to see Luke. He's showing up for her. And at this point in Joy's journey. I hate to say this about her, but I feel like she would have had phone sex with the Green River
Starting point is 01:02:20 killer, unless he was a smoker. I don't think she's a fan of smokers. Yeah, she just needs attention, but not from messy. No, no, no, no. We wish
Starting point is 01:02:36 Joy all the best, and we wish her better than Luke, but I think that she's probably figured it out by now. Jen walks to the bar and says, I need a glass of red wine. And in this moment, I'm like, my God, she is really going through it.
Starting point is 01:02:54 She's just ordering a glass of house red at a nightclub, and she's going to suck it back. Like, that's dark. But no. I thought that's where she was going. She's going to use it as a ballistic. I have to know. I don't think this came.
Starting point is 01:03:09 This was not some kind of self-inspiration. She had to have seen this in a movie. She had to have. It was just so, like, direct on a mission, new plan. You know you can ruin the guy's night because there's nothing like red wine. It stinks. It stains. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:30 It's like. It's Kate Hudson energy. Yeah. Good move, by the way. It's Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts, energy. And it's a flawless move. I mean, he can do nothing. He looks ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:03:42 He's wet. He looks ridiculous. and joy in a shocking turn of events actually chooses joy or chooses Jen to go and comfort and she's very kind of French general about the entire thing. She's very like,
Starting point is 01:03:58 dust yourself of, come on. But it's very sweet. I believe Joy was just in a way using Luke's, she needed attention. But once he showed up, that was kind of the, in a way,
Starting point is 01:04:14 it fulfilled. the circle. Now I've seen you again and yeah, I'm going to return the pants back to Marshalls. I actually don't want you. Yeah, it's the circle of Luke. She's exchanging the pants back. This is how it ends.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Okay. I doubt they ever saw each other again after this. They probably did. I think she just wants to have some sex. So we head back to the boat and poor cat is very, very upset. I feel horrible because she's such a sweetheart. But the real conflict here is Nathan and Joe, who this whole thing gets kicked off with, you know, to be fair to Nathan. Nathan's just standing there.
Starting point is 01:04:54 And we've seen this bozo tie, 50 ties or two. Actually, we've seen him get like really belligerent a lot. But on this night, he is where you should be at. We're having a good time. We got a little buzz going, but we're not fucking shit-faced. Joe is he starts nestling up to him. talking about how beautiful his eyes are and how they match his jacket.
Starting point is 01:05:21 And Nathan is rightly like, okay, I got it. You're shit-faced. And this is when Joe, for some fucking reason, brings up Gale. But he brings up Gail and says,
Starting point is 01:05:38 I wish you didn't have kids. It would be so much. I have the direct quote. I have the direct quote, because I think it's worth analyzing it is exactly how. it was said he said it would be so much easier if you weren't a father okay okay it's one of the most psychotic fucking things to say it's um but remember what's that old saying uh it's not even
Starting point is 01:06:04 old i drunk man says what the sober man feels i i know but but okay so so that makes it even worse So the sober man is feeling regret and sadness that his buddy chose fatherhood over their short-term trist as bros. It's crazy. Well, the point we've been making all season is because I find the audience or people that watch TV or movies, there's always this black and white type of choosing a side. With this, they're both bad. Yeah. Yeah, the side is you're on this side. They're both on the other side because they're both fucking immature men.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Yeah. One of them is also, yeah, worse than it's worse than it. It's really crazy that these two didn't beat the shit out of each other this season. Like honestly, bravo for the restraint because one of you was going to get punched. Now, they do their typical chest puffing and Nathan says, don't talk about my family. Really, really leaning into the family and the fatherhood role. You know, as we mentioned, he did get through customs. And he came out the other side.
Starting point is 01:07:20 The other side. And let's see. And on that other side, he hasn't seen his son Caden for, I don't know, two months. He's a family man, though. Don't talk about it. Don't talk. Don't talk. So.
Starting point is 01:07:38 These human beings. Nathan walks off. and Joe's hits down with Asia and Kaylee you know it's still like Joe's I don't want to be crass but it's almost like Joe has made love to Kaylee and now he's free to just completely act like a fucking idiot in front of her because do you not want that again you moron I mean what is wrong with you okay um I think it's just that he's fucking drunk and then you see him act out as who he really is right who which is he tries to love and Asia being the
Starting point is 01:08:15 love it just the straight shooter that she is goes Joe I love you but you're just lying right now you're full of shit so this guy Joe hated Nathan's girlfriend because he she pulled Nathan away from a four week relationship
Starting point is 01:08:33 he had with him and is now wishing that he hadn't chosen fatherhood one of the the great speed shoots and markers of a male life over over him and their relationship. I mean, it's really, really sad stuff. And this is why dad's, you've got to stay at the house.
Starting point is 01:08:55 You've got to stay at the house. Yeah. I love when Kaylee tries to explain Asia that Joe's dad abandoned him, and that's why he's the way he is. And then Asia pauses and it's like, and well, she goes, she goes, I am, yeah, maybe. Yeah, possibly.
Starting point is 01:09:15 Take a look around. So we rise for the next day and Kat is not going to Dubrovnik. I'm so thrilled that she said, yeah, you guys have fun sucking each other off. I mean, like, you know, it's, I'm not saying they're actually going to,
Starting point is 01:09:30 I'm just saying they're going to, they're going to horse around, you know, anyways. Asia and Joe rekindled the next day. And Joe goes, man, you know what? After thinking about it, you know, she might be right. I might be right. I might have been lying for these past few years.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Massey leaves. He says he's willing to pay someone to make him look like Luke so that you can have sex with joy or something like that. I love Massey. Then Cat leaves cold shoulders the fuck out of Cooper. And leaves with a fire line. The only person to come farther than her is Luke. which was fantastic. Nice line.
Starting point is 01:10:16 To be fair to her, we're not sure about the trajectory of that squiz. It could have dribbled out like a leaky faucet. And in that sense, I would say that cat grew much more than him. Or came farther. Okay? So Jen,
Starting point is 01:10:32 uh, Jen, thank you for your service. Um, she learned that she really likes herself. That someone does. Um, yeah I think that was the lesson that was the lesson she took away I think I'm gonna let it breathe for a little while because there's no fucking shot in hell she'll ever see herself on bravo again um and then I'm gonna reach out and I want to get an interview with her I want to just as a check so badly yeah she's she's my white whale I mean obviously I want to talk to Asia oh no show come on we'll eventually get Asia but um but yeah I I want to talk to Jen so badly about this season um okay so Joe and
Starting point is 01:11:12 Nathan hug it out and they put it behind them. And he goes up to Sandy. She says, you are so good at being in charge. And he's going to go see his mom. He's going to go see his mom and spend time with his mom. Come see your mom, Joe. Come see Mom. Live Joe.
Starting point is 01:11:38 You do Joe. Like, I thought you were okay, Mom. Yeah. Yeah. I thought you were okay, Mom. No. The devil's always coming after you, Mom. I'm going to miss her.
Starting point is 01:11:53 I think that this scene here, unless you're referring to her passing away, I think this here cements the fact that we will see her again. Oh, maybe we will. With Joe is Bosen, we will see a man attempting at every turn to not gloat that his sworn enemy is on the run, from the authorities.
Starting point is 01:12:29 Eating boss off the trees and calling his mom to check in. Yeah, Aisha says goodbye. What can we say? We love her to death. I would take her as a chief stew
Starting point is 01:12:43 on maybe not every season, but, you know, it seems like she's around a lot. I hope that she keeps on keeping on. Yeah, it was sometimes the reoccurring cast members can go, you can go, why. I mean, this season we had
Starting point is 01:12:57 technically four reoccurring cast members. We had Aisha, Max, Nate, and Joe and some, if you're counting Sandy, five, and somehow it worked out. Yeah, I was, I was so,
Starting point is 01:13:12 I was so pessimistic about this cast when the season started. I didn't want Joe and Nate to do their thing again. And, I was, I'm so happy have been proven wrong. It was such a great season of the show. And just really quickly
Starting point is 01:13:31 we browned no say all the time, but like think about the the repeat cast that we've gotten tired of so quickly. I mean, the Daisy Colin and Gary Gary just we were so over it so fast. I mean, that thing imploded. But Asia's been here for like
Starting point is 01:13:51 three times the length. So anyways, thank you for listening to the Oh, one last tease. Love is Blind is, God, we probably should have done this at the top of the show. Love is Blind, Massachusetts, Boston. No. Boston starts next week when Dylan gets back into town. So we'll give you probably the first three episodes free,
Starting point is 01:14:14 and that motherfucker is going behind the payroll. That is so fun. I'm so happy. It's from Boston. Or it's in Boston. Guys, get in the comments. Let us know we thought about the episode. We will see you.
