Jenny loves spring. Sun on her face and a crisp cold specially selected kombucha from Aldi in her hand.
It's picnic time.
Uh oh, wasps. Usually she'd freak out, but all the specially selected olives, relish and
Gortnamona Irish goat's cheese have her feeling so at one with nature.
She's thinking maybe wasps are just misunderstood.
Now nothing can stop her enjoying picnic season.
Not even that.
Good food, good mood from Aldi.
So that would explain your, the credentials in actual service, but as far as custodial
work like the laundry dungeon.
You had a tough time cleaning shit off the toilets.
You had a tough time with that.
Oh, a tough time. Yeah, I did gag once or twice doing that, but you gotta get it done.
And I ripped the bandaid off.
And you can play the fifth on this, but what were the moments wherein you gagged? What did you gag at?
Oh gosh, I don't even know if I can say that. Hi, hello and welcome to another brand spanking new episode of another Below Deck podcast.
My name is Dylan.
That is Pat.
Permission to come aboard.
Hey, how are you today?
I'm doing great. Are you? aboard. Hey, how are you today? I'm doing great.
Are you?
Yeah.
What have you been doing today?
Well, it doesn't matter what I've been doing today.
We got a we got a big fish on the line.
We are joined today by Big Red, none other than Brianna.
Thank you so much for joining us this afternoon.
What's up?
Thank you for having me.
You know, Big Red was my nickname all throughout high school, so I like it.
Really?
Okay.
It was.
Yeah.
We just went with like, you know, kind of the stick of chewing gum kind of thing.
And it's a very loose association.
I'm feeling that this name was associated with sports, perhaps basketball.
Yeah, exactly that.
Tall, red hair. Got, exactly that tall red hair.
Got it. Got it.
OK, well, it's a happy to know it's super creative.
We're really, really excited to speak with you.
We ask every person that comes on the show the same question.
When what?
Oh, it's always how?
No, no, no. OK.
OK, OK. So when Laura got Alicia the lip,
were you jealous because you like a lip too, but she didn't get you a lip at all.
She just got Alicia lips. So how do you feel about that?
I wanted a lip.
I mean, who doesn't want a bright pink lipstick?
Alicia's phrase was pink makes the boys wink.
That was what I heard.
So I think I want pink.
Yeah, for sure.
What are your thoughts on that?
Was it just a nice thing that she did
or was it a Machiavellian diabolical move?
I think it was just a nice thing she did.
Alicia, when she's distracted, she is distracted.
So I think the you know, the only
way that we were going to get her back into the galley and back to it would be with her
pink lipstick. Yeah. You disagree with her?
Ah, no, I don't give Laura that much credit. I think it was I think it was to hurt Zarina's
feelings, but I'm a cynical person.
All right. So we have a lot of questions for you. The fans were smitten by you, the
Trist with the Prince of the Boat and you know, lots of stuff.
There is a disclaimer here. Our listeners are called barnacles and they are rude and
crude and some of the questions today have been solicited from them and I take no accountability
for how rude their questions are.
Yeah.
Okay, got that.
Yeah.
And just in case if you're wondering, that is kind of a smoke screen for us to ask anything
that we want to ask and then blame it on the fans.
Got it.
Fornical questions.
Now, I want to lay out some groundwork here for how Brie fits into this season.
So we have three kind of storylines.
One was the Nick taking that shot
drama and what would you have done? I want to get to that. And then of course, the boatman's with
Harry. And then kind of what's going on with Marina and Laura's choice to keep her in the laundry
dungeon for the entire season. We also want to ask you about that little guy from South Africa who touched everybody and kissed everybody.
So we'll get into all of it.
All of it.
Let's dig into it.
All right, first off, is Harry your first boat man?
Yes, Harry is my first boat man.
Typically, I don't like to date on boats just because you
work, live, eat,, you're with them 24 7
Yeah, so it's definitely a risky choice. But with Harry I think you know, there's no risk in that it's
Not a distraction. We both are hard workers and he was just such a positive energy kind of lifted me through the season
Yeah
Now we love Harry but as we watch the, he wasn't as forthright with his feelings
towards you as you were towards him.
So that inevitably did cause a little anxiety on your part.
Yes.
Definitely.
I think, you know, I am a very communication is key person.
This is how I'm feeling point blank.
Do you feel the same or not?
If not, like we don't need to waste time
So I was just very open and I think you know, some people do take a little bit longer and I think I think I was
Harry's I'm not sure but I might have been Harry's first boatman. Um, and you know, I just I want to know like I don't
I don't like to second-guess. I don't want to wonder just let me know. Yeah. Yeah
Well, he was uh, he was a little bit of a milk boy, too
You know, he was a little latter-day saint about the whole thing, you know, I think I'm gonna stop talking
Yeah with that Katrina steel asked what did you think of Harry saying that tiny PG boring kiss a few episodes back was the most amazing
Makeout sesh ever. I'm sorry. It's Katrina Katrina she spelled it up phonetically. Katrina thank you for doing
that thank you for doing that guys. That one wasn't surprised me. I did not I don't
know if I'd put that on my most amazing kisses ever but you know I always knew
that we could work on it and we could, you know, I could maybe give Harry
a few pointers.
Yeah, yeah, I think so.
I think it was needed.
You know, Harry, he is the, he is that one, well, he's very cute.
Like he's, he's got cute energy and that can get you into trouble because, you know, you
get, uh, you know, branded as the friend of the cute boy, but you know, he's, he's got
some rugged hot assness to him too. You know, he's a long stick, stick a man.
And I'm again, I'm gonna stop talking. Okay, Brianna Karen
barnacle says Harry looks like a terrible kisser. I actually get
secondhand embarrassment watching him kiss you. How would
you rate Harry's kissing on a scale of one to 1010 being hot?
That is Oh Oh wow.
You can plead the fifth on any of these.
Roodle barnacle questions.
I think I'm gonna have to plead the fifth.
Oh boy.
For the sake of Harry.
But I always think there's room for improvement.
Yeah, okay, so we'll call it a four.
Bree said four and we'll move on.
A four, a four.
I feel okay with a four.
I couldn't look at myself in the mirror
if I was rated that.
Well, that's, you know, that's it. You're, we talked with it. I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I was rated that. Well, that's, you know, that's it.
We talked about it.
Your souffle is cooked, okay?
Harry's still a young man.
He can learn a lot.
That's true. We can grow.
All right, Monica Morales asks,
Harry's such a great guy.
Are you two still together?
Harry and I are not still together, but our boatman,
our boatman did not die after below that.
What'd you guys do?
We traveled the whole world together.
We went on an African safari, we did Dubai,
met my dad in Dubai, we did Philly, we did Nashville,
we did Europe, Monaco.
How was Philly?
It sucked, right? You name it, we did it.
Harry in Philly, he really did stick out like a giraffe.
Yeah, yeah, no.
That was a good time. I actually really enjoyed bringing Harry around Philadelphia.
He's lucky he wasn't a giraffe in Philadelphia. They throw rocks at animals.
Are you from Philly, Bri?
I'm not. I'm from South Jersey, so I was like, I don't want to bring Harry to like a sports game and a sports bar in Philadelphia
Yeah, so we brought him to a Phillies game and then we brought him to like a sports bar in the the stadium area after
And he was he was riding on a mechanical bull. Okay, good. Good. Good
It was a scene do you guys so do you guys call it Taylor ham in the South or do you call it pork roll in the South? I can't remember. We say pork roll, but
even like I guess Central Jersey, I don't believe in Central Jersey, but they say
Taylor Ham. Then do you eat it? No. Like it's different. I don't know. I'll tell you, I'll tell you what, this guy would not go anywhere near.
Imagine a super big hot dog,
but with like citric acid in it and like a tangy Dodger dog almost killed me
three years ago. All right. Uh, let's see here. Continuing on.
Well, actually I forgot to ask this at the top.
How long have you been in the industry?
So I've been in the yachting industry a little bit
over two years.
Prior to that, I was in the modeling industry.
But the only other job I could hold with modeling
was to work in hospitality.
So I've been in hospitality and fine dining for seven years.
OK.
So that would explain your, the credentials
in actual service, but as far as custodial work,
like the laundry dungeon.
You had a tough time cleaning shit off the toilets.
You had a tough time with that.
Oh, a tough time.
Yeah, I did gag once or twice doing that,
but you gotta get it done.
And I ripped the bandaid off.
And you can play the fifth on this,
but what were the moments wherein you gagged?
What did you gag at?
Oh gosh, I don't even know if I can say that.
Yeah, it was just like you said, you know,
some toilets you just wish you could power wash.
Yeah, they capture.
You're up and personal with them.
They capture and they cling sometimes.
They do. You're up in personal with them. They capture and they cling sometimes. They do.
Yeah.
OK, so when you were in the laundry dungeon,
did you feel that Laura really clearly didn't
want to have to do that?
Did you feel that there was some favoritism on Laura's part?
Towards you.
When I was in, no, I don't.
Just because I think when she did get RCBs,
I know Marina's been in yachting for three years. I just
think that fine dining and like hospitality experience of seven
years and also being a mixologist in cities, like
Laura was just like, okay, she's gonna be you know, in service.
Looking back, you know, me and Laura did we have very similar
personalities. And I think we developed a super great looking back you know me and Laura did we have very similar personalities and I
think we developed a super great friendship but Marina also she was an
amazing storda so I think you know she definitely did deserve her time and
service as well so I was happy to see the switch. Is that common? Sorry excuse
me is it common for a captain to inject themselves in different departments to
make suggestions.
It seems like if things are working,
even though it kind of sucks for Marina,
we would just kind of keep it as it goes,
because it's functioning properly.
I think in the industry, that's how chief stews are
meant to think, because at the end of the day, all they care
about is the guests get a perfect experience on a yacht.
But I think Jason was looking at the bigger picture of,
you know, how can I help the crew not only improve, perfect experience on a yacht. But I think Jason was looking at the bigger picture of,
how can I help the crew not only improve,
but keep them happy?
Because when you live on a boat, that's your home.
That's gonna be your family.
But you're gonna spend holidays with them.
So I think Jason really wanted Marina to feel like
she was growing as a stew,
and also to make sure that she was still happy.
Whereas I could care less.
Put me wherever
and I'm just gonna be like, I'm just here for it.
Big red.
Yeah, big red, I'm just here for it.
What's the longest season you've ever had?
You mentioned holidays, so I was thinking like, you know,
people would book the boat in the Easter.
Yeah, Caribbean seasons usually, you know,
you're gonna run through your, you have Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's kind of all of that.
So it is tough to be away from your families, especially when you are, you know, at sea.
But sometimes owners will come on for like 10 weeks and it's going to be your Caribbean
season where it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's.
And then you finally get through and you're like, how did I survive that?
What are people? okay, okay, one,
celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with, you know,
other, you know, fucking, that sounds awful,
but also, what is with the people that want to spend
those holidays on a boat? Like that's a very odd inclination to me.
Does that weird you out from like a guest perspective?
It's odd.
It does.
I mean, sometimes for some people what I've learned is that it is their escape from almost like reality.
So they feel that they can just escape their world,
which a lot of the time, you know, they're multi billionaires and all they want to do is just have
some privacy and sometimes out at sea is the only place they can get that. With that being said,
we all want to be, you know, I want to be with my family. So it's like,
you know, then you're, you're stuck with someone else. Have you spent, have you spent Christmas as a yachty on a.
I have, yes.
It was, it was a tough one.
And do you.
It was a tough one.
I've only done one Christmas.
Do you have a disdain for the,
the rich and powerful at this point?
You don't have to answer that.
You don't have to answer that.
I don't, you know, I think I, they must've,
they must've done, worked in some sort of hard way to answer that. You don't have to answer that. I don't, you know, I think they must have done work
in some sort of hard way to get there.
And, you know, I think there's so much to learn from them.
Like sometimes I truly like will be in a room
and I'm like listening to a business call
and I'm like, ooh, that's how I talk about business call.
Like that's how I'm gonna get there.
Yeah, totally.
I'm not, but you know, sometimes,
and even I've had owners correct me
because I always used to say absolutely,
of course, if they would ask me for something and they were like, Brie and business, you
say yes.
No more absolutely.
Too many syllables.
I'm like, yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, you learn stuff.
Yeah.
Well, I'm fine with the way that you do it and you can learn things from the Uber wealthy.
You can learn how to look at humans as capital, you can, you can
learn a lot of things. Yeah.
Bri. So I thought your your season so far, you have almost a perfect record. Okay, you
haven't really screwed anybody over. You haven't talked any smack. However, there is one mark on your record. And that was when I
believe Laura tasked you with bringing Alicia into the bedroom into the room to, I think essentially
to extract her talking smack about Serena. Was that the intention that you felt was taking place there?
felt was taking place there?
So I, Alicia was in the room, she was very upset. She was crying to me and I felt like I was really
getting nowhere and I was like Laura, I don't know
if you can maybe give her advice that's not,
she's not really getting from me because every time
I would kind of end the conversation, she's like,
well now I'm just gonna go cry in the sauna
or I'm gonna go cry in the bathroom.
And I'm like, I don't know how to help. Like I don't, I was like, I really
don't know how to help. So I'm like, Laura always kind of gave me mother instinct. So
I was like, maybe she'll be able to get her to like calm down. But I really was just kind
of hoping Alicia would take one of our advice and like, it's okay. It's okay.
Yeah, just get battle.
Go ahead.
Yeah, sorry.
Did you take offense?
Well, I wanted to, we should implement the taps.
Oh, the taps.
Yeah, so I can tap you when I need to answer a question.
Did you pick up on the,
I guess it's like a two pronged thing.
Like, did you think that Laura had mean girl energy
towards Serena and did you pick up on the tension
between those two throughout the season?
So I don't think there was intentional mean girl energy.
I do think they're very different people.
So I think maybe in terms of communication
it could have probably been better
You know Hey, you're making me feel this way
You know like and then there could have been a change in attitude or a change in how you approach something
But I don't think there was ever mean girl intention
And I didn't really notice things heat up until
Till quite recently when I was like watching bad.
I was like, oh, things are a lot more hot
than I even realized.
Like I was too worried about like,
does Harry like me?
And then I'm like, oh, things were heating up.
I think there was one moment.
There's a moment coming up and I was like,
oh, now things are heated.
Baggage unpacked.
Well, Anna Andilsek asks.
Thank you, Anna. I'm sorry, this is Anna Andilsek asks. Thank you, Anna.
I'm sorry.
This is Elena Kalis.
Sorry.
Thank you, Elena.
She wanted to know, were you offended when Zarina referred to you as the models?
I was not offended.
I think it actually happens quite often growing up in the modeling industry.
But you know, I think that's, you know, being called a model,
the one reason I really loved Harry was just because,
he always spoke about my personality or my work ethic,
or I think oftentimes it's like a model
and then you're just in this category where it's like,
I was tall and awkward my whole life.
That's how I got the job.
But it's like, there is a lot more to that.
I took no offense to it though. I'm almost like, okay. It's like I was tall and awkward my whole life. Like that's how I got the job.
But it's like, you know, there is a lot more to that. I just no offense to it though.
I'm like, okay.
No, it's just another person.
There are better insults
than calling someone tall and beautiful.
Yeah.
Well, she called Laura,
basically she was creating them as their own group,
their own clique.
Oh God.
Bri, you were in Fine fine dining and the hospitality world in the
tri-state area. Okay, so there's a good amount of money up
there. What was like the was the biggest check you? What's the
verb?
No, what was the what was the biggest check you presided over?
There was a check
for like
I think like $20,000 for like five people at this dinner
and I was like
I'm not, you know, I'm not making it
Why am I here?
Like honestly
What was it? Was it wine? It just wasn't even enough You know, I'm not making it. Why am I here? Like, honestly.
What was it? Was it wine?
It just wasn't even enough.
It was the wine.
It wasn't even enough food.
And I was like, you guys are definitely still hungry.
100%.
Like, we can't even get this higher.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And what's like, what's a horror story
from hospitality in Jersey? Oh
My gosh, there was one time and I'll never forget this because I I'm like a friar like, you know
Growing up on the East Coast you kind of have and especially in Jersey
You have a little bit of grit and then yeah growing up in the modeling industry
You could probably tell me anything and I'm like, okay, like yeah, I've heard it all right
so I think the worst thing ever I was
bartending and bar managing and I also had a section of tables because we had server call out
So I had a section of tables. We had like a full restaurant and this other server was running around like crazy
And we had a ton of service tickets
So I had the drinks, the 24 bar top,
and then I had like a section of eight tables with like eight tops.
Oh, so I was running around and you could see it because the bar was like in the
same vicinity as the,
this part of the restaurant and I'll always say like, Hey, this,
I remember specifically my speech was this is a free flowing kitchen.
So, you know, things come out as soon as they're ready rather than altogether.
That's how it goes here.
And I took their drink order and they ordered like an octopus salad, which,
you know, a little lettuce, a little bit of octopus and maybe some dressing.
Yeah. So that came out within two seconds.
But their drinks, I had like a ticket of like a 20 top who all got
Cocktails it wasn't even wine or beer
So I was working on that ticket and then I was gonna bring their drinks
By the time I got to bringing them their drinks, which their main courses didn't come out
I finished that to get and then I got their drinks
She's this lady stood up at the table like pushed her salad and was like you
stop and I was like
like I'm like you see me and I never ever you know the clients right or
whatever but that day I was like you see me running around like crazy and she
just kept going and I was just sitting there quiet and I was like I'm losing
brain cells listening to this like I genuinely am losing brain cells. Did you guys fight like I?
Was like hold me back. Thank God, you know, my co-worker was like one of my good friends. I was like
Hold my earrings. No, I'm just kidding
But you know, I was just like a paw and she kept yelling. And then we had a restaurant full of people
and I was like, you're right,
I'm the worst person you've ever met.
Yeah, it's really crazy.
People can really get themselves
to say some insane things to people.
It's kind of mind blowing.
She ordered house cab.
I was like, you know, like a $10 glass of wine
really did not need, they ended up leaving.
So I was like, okay. And then up leaving, so I was like, OK.
And then my table next to me was like, wrote on the check,
like the nicest message.
I was like, dang.
So I did.
I was like, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.
And I'm looking here straight behind.
I didn't.
I turned around, and then I went to the bar, and I was like.
Good for you.
I would have put salt in her shitty wine or something.
Now, speaking of drinks, Let's talk about that shot
Okay, so Elena Callis asked this all right when the guests ordered that faithful tequila shot
Did you know it was going it was for Nick?
No, she came up and she Nikita asked me can I have a tequila shot? I was like of course you can you can have whatever you want you paid a million dollars to be honest. Yeah, um
And then I just went back to work.
Listener Michelle Henley asks,
would you have told on Nick for that shot?
If so, why?
Great question.
A great question, Michelle.
It's such a tough, you know, I wanted to go to Nick first.
Nick's a class act, so, you know, he handled it kind of how I expected he would if he didn't I
Would probably just say
Something but of course just you know pull everybody in the room whether it was Jason and Nick or you know together and just be like
It was an accident like this is what happened. I understand there was a miscommunication,
but I think it is my duty as a seafarer
to bring that to the captain's attention.
When we're at sea, you have to be completely,
you can't drink or anything.
Yeah, I mean, you could run into a marina
and then you plow through a restaurant you have to you know
Everybody's got to be buttoned up
Jason did that one time, you know, yeah. Yeah. Okay. So anyways
So have you ever experienced like a firing for an offense like that on a previous charter
Um, I have on a previous charter that wasn't below deck. I think you know
the yachting industry you work so hard and then you finally get a day off and
there's some party people in the yachting industry. Yeah some real booze bags. I'm like I've
never seen anything like this. The yachting bars if you want to have a
good time go to a yachting bar. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's that's stuff of nightmares
Okay, so speaking of people that like to have a good time. Let's talk about the the little butt plug
Who was formerly the boats and?
What was your?
Experience working with we and did he there are so many you know
Things we can get to did Did he make you uncomfortable?
Were the women on the boat uncomfortable?
Well, yeah, what was the overall toxicity of it all like?
I guess on the boat he was always super nice. I kind of took his flirting as like a
you're nice because I was always talking to him about Harry.
He definitely did ask me a lot about Harry now that I think and look back and
Realize he was like the first episode. He was like three is like my what oh, yeah, never told me that
So I thought that was interesting, but I think
towards his departure
He just had overstepped in a lot of ways and I know he made
Laura's job very difficult and at that point he had kissed
Everyone and I'm like how'd you even like let Adair for a second think she needs to go on a date with you
I'm like Adair knows so much better than that like um, but you know, I just yeah
He had this charm and people kind of fell for it
But then eventually I think true come true colors prevail and we're all like
Do you think when that whole bunk thing happened?
We're watching it like there's no way that he didn't know that that was I mean
It's just wildly inappropriate.
Like what were you thinking when you saw the creepy cam footage of him wrapping
his arms around Alicia in that bunk?
I was shocked.
Like my jaw dropped.
And I remember when that episode came out, it was like, I need to watch
this right away because he did tell me that he was asleep.
I've closed the whole time
Once he did leave the boat. So then watching that back I was
Jaw drop just like there's no way and I was so angry. I was like
You know that that is watching that back. You just you do I like I got angry. I was like, are you kidding me?
Yeah, so he'd convinced most of the boat
like, are you kidding me? Yeah. So he can get most of the boat
until it aired that he was I think he had spoken with a dare
the next day and said that he was trying to talk to her help her out or something along those lines. And kind of playing like
basically he didn't do anything that he was having a
conversation.
Right? Well, he told a dare he had talked to her. He told me he
was asleep the whole time.
So I'm just like, where are all these lies coming from?
Like when he put his arm around her, I was like, no way. Like that is crossing so many lines.
Yeah. Have you spoken with him since the show aired?
We, we have not spoken since the show aired. We spoke after airing and you know, he swore
that he was asleep the whole time and that was not the case. So we have not spoken at
all.
Yikes.
Now that night you chose to hang out with Alicia was rather than hang out with Harry.
Was that to comfort her through the through the night?
Um, yes, I did go up and check on Harry, but I think Alicia was in a much worse spot. And I think I do think Alicia looked at me as a comfort person and vice versa. But she was just distraught and the whole night, do you think Johnny's gonna leave?
Do you think Johnny's gonna get fired?
Did I, I messed up and then it was crying and then it was okay and then it was crying
and she was just distraught and I don't think she should have been alone.
Yeah, there's a lot of booze flowing that night.
A couple more questions.
Yeah, we gotta wrap up the interview.
I just want to ask you about, did you hear the punch and the screams?
I did. That scared me a lot. That took me a bit. That one scared me a little bit.
The walls are made of paper on these books.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you heard that.
You ever seen a Greek guy mad? Whoa.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's got rings and he punched the wall and he started screaming. So yeah, it must have been pretty scary.
All right. One made me jump.
So this is probably going to be the most difficult question of the interview.
Mary F.
Kill Johnny V.
Han or Nick.
Oh, switch it up.
I was like, you're going to throw Harry in there.
No, no. Wow. OK.
Mary, Nick, duh.
F. Johnny, duh.
He'll be on.
Yeah, I think that's the right answer.
Yeah, that's the correct answer.
I think that's the correct answer.
Any celebrities in your DMs since the show aired?
You don't have to name them.
Oh, I thought I had a few Brava-lebs in the DMs.
Of course.
Yeah, watch out for Jax Taylor.
No, it's those Southern charm creeps.
Oh, I get, yeah, I guarantee it.
Austin.
All right, last question.
If you can, is there a craziest charter story ever?
Ever?

Are you still in the industry?
