Another below-deck podcast fans, we got her. Our white whale, Lexi Wilson.
Now we talked about a lot of stuff. We addressed us calling her a demon multiple times throughout the season.
We talked about her high rise and what's going on with that.
We talked about how many degrees she actually has.
We talked about her hatred for Chef Spaz's pass matt to those uninitiated we talked about her
feelings towards sandy and production secrets surrounding her but are you going to get to
listen to all of it absolutely not this is a short chunk from this entire interview which if you want
to delve into all the nitty-gritty all the secrets and the
tea that we got into with lexi you know what to do go to patreon.com slash another podcast network
thank you for listening cheapos we love you very much we'll be back tomorrow with our recap of
episode 3 of season 29 of below deck hey lexi hello it's pat okay i'm gonna jump into it ready we're ready to
go lexi you ready to go yeah i'm ready okay joining us on the horn is the infamous lexi
wilson uh we have been through a journey with her
or half a season with her.
We've called her many things.
We've called her a demon.
But these kinds of hypotheses,
they're meant to be stress tests and proven wrong.
So we want to take some time today
and just get to know the person that is lexi wilson how are you thank
you for joining us i'm i'm good i just worked out in the gym so i'm a bit tired but i'm glad to be
on did you get a good pump i did i love an mc gym so it was perfect that no one was in there
good good whereabouts are you i'm in miami oh that's right high rise okay yeah i go back and forth to the
island we need to talk about a lot of different stuff um yes you have you've you've listened to
the show uh how did you feel about us uh being untoward towards you um you know I've seen so many things. So by now, I think I've probably built up such a...
Callous skin.
Yeah, like that.
Nothing really bothers me deeply anymore.
Good, good.
It's shitty to go through that.
We haven't gotten the same amount of scorn that you've gotten,
but it never feels good to have strangers speak ill of you,
which is what we've done so often.
But we're here to get to know you and prove the hypothesis wrong.
Now, I'm going to sound like a defender right out of the gate here.
This is Pat.
Well, it's because you have, you know.
No, I don't.
I'm a married man.
You're unbelievably attracted to Lexi.
I mean, she's a beautiful woman, but you need to drop it.
Dylan, stop it.
That's please.
That's inappropriate.
I want to say this.
And I know some of our barnacles.
That's what we call our listeners. Alexi barnacles.
Okay.
They're going to be upset at old baby because I right out of the gate.
I'm going to say this.
If you if someone was going to this is about barnacles judging people on reality TV that they watch.
How would you like it?
If three different interactions you had with a group of people were on TV and we've all had them.
We've hated our co-workers.
We called someone a bitch and told him fuck off or we wish they'd die. Imagine if that was on TV and then you judge
someone on that and you get on that keyboard in Wyoming and you say nasty things on someone's
Instagram. Where do your loyalties lie? Are you, what are you doing right now? I'm just saying you
shouldn't judge a person based on them being on a stupid reality TV show. It's your profession. I definitely agree.
You're in a pickle.
I definitely agree.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Look, I'll tell you.
Alexi, how old are you?
I am, I don't tell my age.
I was just going to say that.
She called Dylan polite.
What I was going to say is-
She's a lady.
If anything was recorded that I did between the age of zero to 29 i i on most of my worst nights i probably that
getting out there probably would not be good for me okay so now that we've established your role
in this interview as good cop right or sycophant or yeah i like him uh god it's nauseating we can
proceed with a couple questions now um we're not going going to delve, we're not supposed to delve too much into below
deck, wink, wink. Yeah, we can't ever talk about below deck. We're not going to today. Wink, wink.
Good. I have a question about this, and this isn't about the show, but I've seen this-
Maritime law? Are we going to talk about maritime law?
Maritime law. Okay. One of the biggest problems I've had with seeing how this industry works is the hours
that you guys work, right?
And this season I saw Sandy have, who was the head stew?
I forget her name.
Not a typical chief stew, Katie, but we can't talk about that.
No, but I'm referencing it.
She works a 20 hour day.
In any other work environment, the person supervising that boat would be held accountable
for how dangerous that is.
Right, right, right.
Lexi, how does that operate on the ocean that they can basically just work you to the bone,
which I would argue is an even more dangerous work environment than, say, a factory or something.
Yeah, you work 20 hours and you get sexually harassed.
Well, let me just say this.
It definitely wasn't 20 hour days because they know that would be illegal.
But I would say she pulled like 16 hour, 17 hour days, which was ridiculous.
17, 18 max, but it definitely was in 20 hours.
So don't take everything that you see as real.
Yeah.
A little bit of hyperbole because I this is no hyperbole.
I once and I told these fellows this work 26 straight hours at a sports.
They can get sued. They can. I would I would never do that to Mel Jeremy or Sports Authority because it's went bankrupt on its own.
So good to know that you and Katie are still fast friends. So we can't talk about this. Can't talk about below deck.
I'm interested into the industry. You know, if if she can't talk, we can perhaps frame questions.
We're going to talk about below deck.
If she hangs up, she hangs up.
She's already talked about it on her Instagram.
She hates everybody that she worked with.
She thinks they're all jerks.
Right, right, right.
I have to say that.
I don't hate anyone.
I don't hate anyone.
Oh, okay.
All right.
I think I have a very strong dislike for a few people,
but I don't hate anyone.
It's bad to hate someone.
I hate Chef Spaz more than anybody.
And we don't need to talk about it.
I'll talk about it.
That guy is such a weasel.
Right, right, right.
Nick, you pointed out your problem with him,
and it's what really got to me is he's sniveling.
He is sniveling.
I don't like that.
Do you regret stepping in that dirt pile?
You know what's funny about it, though?
I did not see it.
Like, literally.
I didn't see it, and I offered to, like, sweep it up.
But, you know, he was really determined about this dirt pile.
Even after I was gone, he still was bringing up the dirt pile.
I think he has a love relationship with the dirt pile.
And he's sniveling, so of course he wouldn't let it go.
He seems like a control freak
that whenever you give this jerk power,
he's going to take it and abuse his position.
That's what I don't like about him.
Listen, I don't really care for him,
but he is nuts.
On screen, off screen.
As it stands now,
do you still wish Matt was aborted?
No. My mom is just like, don't say that. Like, don't ever say that.
But you know what? A lot of my friends who hit me up, they were like,
I see nothing wrong with what you said. I was just like, you know,
everybody has different preferences.
I just would never step foot on the side of Matthew.
I feel like if Matthew was the last human in the world and I had to be like,
you know,
mate with him to, like, keep the human race going,
I would rather just swallow glass and die.
That's a...
Full quote.
That's a much more palatable way to say it
because, like, saying someone should have been aborted,
that's a sick burn.
That's a sick burn, but it gives kind of...
You lose the high ground, especially if you do it on TV.
It's just one of those touchy issues where people get all upbeat about what you just said.
You would have said that on TV.
I don't think you'd get fired.
Right, because this hypothetical, he's had a lifetime of exhibits, exhibit A through Z, A and more.
But as a fetus, he really has no chance to poison the world with his personality.
So anyways.
I have another question it's kind of somewhat what you said where you were like oh why do you think you don't get
what would someone who doesn't like you lexi what would what would they give as their reason for not
liking you um i like i said i think i'm very blunt. I'm very straightforward. I don't believe in
You know sugar and things or sugarcoating things
I like to speak with on my mind and I find that in American cultures. That's not really welcome
I grew up in the Caribbean and we speak our mind no matter what Caribbean country
Spicy we say what's on our mind even like most of the comments i've got in
my dms the caribbean people were like why are every like why is everyone so sensitive like i
got lots of caribbean people saying why are they so sensitive this is normal in the caribbean like
so i think because my culture is different i don't see the way that americans see things and i have
to remember that i'm here now and so the so the way that I come across is different here.
You know, I have to remember that it's very sensitive and certain things you can't say,
your body language, you will come across aggressive here.
Yeah, there were British people and Australian people aboard that as well.
But listen.
I have a question.
Yeah.
Lexi, what would your friend say is your best quality?
I'm very determined.
I like it.
Very.
Like, they will say that.
They're like, this girl will persist.
Like, if you knock her down, she's going to get up.
Yes, exactly.
Chumbawamba.
So they'll tell you that.
So, yes, Chumbawamba.
So speaking of your drive, let's talk about the
high rise. Let's talk about the degrees and let's talk about you being, I mean, I can assume a
multimillionaire. I don't know what was going on with the things you were saying. I don't know if
I believe half of them, but what is the deal with,
let's talk about the education first. What are your degrees? What's going on here? Because it
seems like an impossibility that you have this many credentials. Thank you.
