Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to another exciting edition of Are You Garbage, the show where you find out if your favorite comedians are classy individuals or absolute trash. Now, here are your hosts, Kevin Ryan and H. Foley. Hey, everybody out there, and welcome back to everybody's favorite podcast. This is R.U. Garbage. Oh, yeah. It's that little show we sit down with your favorite comedians and we find that it to be classy. Just a big old piece of trash. Trash, trash.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I'm your host, Dave Choli, coming at you on a beautiful day. We're out back here with Tootie's in a new edition. Since this is a small business episode, she wants you to know about Pat's image of hairstyling out there in Bluebell, Pennsylvania. Give him a call 610279-9089. If you need a fresh cut. Hit them up. Completely untransational, that announcement.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Doesn't sound like it. From Aunt Tootty about Pat's image of hairstyling. Pat's image of hairstyling. Pat's image of hair styling. Contractual McLevenia. 610279. 9089. My coach is coming from across the table.
Starting point is 00:01:12 We should call a family episode. Just the boys, the bozos, and the homies. Just the way we like it. He is my best pal in the whole wide world. He is the lyrical gangster, the king of the burbs. Kevin James Ryan. I'm pushing that. I don't know if I like it.
Starting point is 00:01:25 What up, everybody. Shout out to you. First of all, thanks for tuning in. Please make sure your review, subscribe on iTunes. Full video available. full video over there available on Spotify. Oh, geez. I twisted it a little bit too.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Yeah. Pat's image of hairstyling. Now I'm in the bonus. Spotify.com. That's Spotify. I'm all flustered. Spotify. Let me tell you something about Spotify.
Starting point is 00:01:49 I don't think it's a website. It's an app. What? Pat's image of hairstyling? Not or. It's a certified charity. Spotify. And Pat's images.
Starting point is 00:02:03 What was the image? I was big in the 80s and the image. Pat's image of hairstyling. It had the dudes on it, the fucking the thing. He was a sponsor of my softball or my baseball team. I didn't play softball. Yeah, he sponsored my slope bag. Yeah, he was a sponsor of our baseball team.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Oh, and nine. He wanted his money. He ran out at the last game. He took his jerseys off of you. The fucking fat idiots. He took those fingers. combs back. Are those things on the wall?
Starting point is 00:02:33 I love those things. I thought they were for horses and some. I didn't know what that. But shut out to. I want it one of them. Spotify. What can I get to? Top 100 of all podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Very nice. Number 84. Last time I checked. Number 24 in comedy podcast. Thank you. Yes. That's in the fucking charts. Luke.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Yeah, apparently. Apparently, Fully's upset with Luke right now. No, I'm not. I love you. We're right there, baby. But, uh, we, uh, yes. And patreon.com. I'll show you garbage.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Closing it on 16,000 over there, maybe. The army of garbage. Truly is. And honestly, that's what this whole episode is. You may know, you may not know. We alluded to in a family episode. We talked about on the Patreon. We sent some email, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:03:16 But a little, a little low under the radar a little bit. Of, we had the idea of kind of talking, you know, of interacting with small business owners who are fans of the podcast. Yes, we did. We had that idea. It came. You and I. Sure, totally. And Pat's image of hairstyle.
Starting point is 00:03:38 We, it came, the idea came about one from a listener who, D.N. But it also stemmed from, I needed help with my shitty above ground pool. I put a story up and it got flooded with like blue collar guys. People go, I own this. I'm a this. I own a pool company. I did this for years. My family owns this.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Homies and bozos were activated. Just like when we got the carpet done here, Tuddies. Yes, very much. much so. The boys showed up from Long Island. So that kind of was just like, oh, shit. And someone said a real community. A fan wrote and he goes, hey, I forget the example. He's like, if there was a
Starting point is 00:04:12 tile company in my, in St. Louis, I would use him knowing he's a homie or a bozo over some other Joe Schmo. So I was like, oh, that's really cool. Then we mentioned it. And then people started right in like, oh, we'll give 10% off if a fucking whatever, if they mentioned the pod or something. So we're trying to
Starting point is 00:04:32 unite this fucking, it's very fight club. What is it? We wash your dishes, we fix your cars. We, it's a fucking... Loan your money, loan sharks. Any loan sharks out there? Just, you know, keep them in the thing. Sure.
Starting point is 00:04:45 You know? Uh-huh. We'd be like Angie's list. Network. Chippy's list. I'll give you that. Don't put me on it. Small finder's fee.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Taking out business loans in my name. You'll probably be doing. I thought that was going to. going to be the toty took out of SBA loan. No. No. Okay. I went to...
Starting point is 00:05:07 I went with Pat's image of hairstyle. I gotcha, yeah. I wasn't saying it was bad. It's real. Okay? Tuddy taking on an SBA loan. That's fictitional comedy. I like to be rooted in reality.
Starting point is 00:05:20 As opposed to someone else I know who took out a SBA loan. I didn't know. Did you? An SBA loan. Huge. No shit. Yeah. What pandemic?
Starting point is 00:05:30 Buying your equity. He's making a short squeeze on you. He's shorted this podcast. That's why if we go, if we end up higher in the charts, we're going to screw him. It's like that. Oh, you're like the owner in Major League. The hot old late middle-aged lady. I loved her back then.
Starting point is 00:05:47 She was also in secret to my success. That's a great movie. I don't think I've ever seen it. No kid. Michael J. Fox vehicle? Very good. Not the biggest Michael J. Guy.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Whoa. I didn't get it. The vest? What? Yeah, I know the 80s. Yeah. I don't get it. Yeah, I just wasn't my, what year did back to the future come out?
Starting point is 00:06:05 First of all, he's a Parkinson's Crusader. Oh, yeah, because I'm a big fan of that. What are you? I'm a big fan of Parkinson's Crusade. Not to say he's not doing great. I like Spin City, yeah. Wasn't Charlie Sheen on that, too? He replaced him after he got the ticks.
Starting point is 00:06:20 That's a real tough thing to do. And Heather Locklear, and they were dating at some point. Oh, man. Oh, boy. Love that Charlie Sheen. 1885 for Back to the Fusion Yeah, by the time I saw that You were born in 86
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah, so by the time I would come across my desk That stuff at 8 I just was like I'm sitting there Like a stack of papers Not saying it was trash But I would also say the technology changed a bit So that was like I guess it was like dated
Starting point is 00:06:51 Like visually it was dated And I'm like this is like Like the first couple episodes of cheers Sure Look really bad. They're like really bad. Also, I wasn't, my dad wasn't introducing me like, here's a little guy on a flying skateboard. That's not the kind of shit we were into as a family unit.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Sure. You know what it is. The hero of your dad. Yes. We used to watch home alone and only watched the buzz parts. He was packing his own car and leaving. Okay. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:07:23 A little personal. All right. Someone's hurt. I'm not hurt. due to previous conversation before the podcast. What are you talking about? You know what I'm talking about. I do.
Starting point is 00:07:33 I don't appreciate it. Of course I appreciate it. I love you. Yeah, thanks. Oh, man, seven different kinds of smoke today. That's crazy. What? Pinned this on me.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Pim, what on you? I don't know. Dude, there's always, it's always good versus evil with you. I like Back to the Future. And I like Michael Dundon. I'm not, I'm sure it's great. I just saying a lot of that stuff I'm, that you really resonated with you. Sure.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I watched it in fucking, you know, 96. At that point, I got fucking better shit going on than some guy trying to fuck his mom. The kid watching Bluey these days? Kids are big on Bluey. Yeah, no, he's not really watching. Bingo and Bluey. You don't love the tube. They're sisters, I think.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Do you know this? Yeah, so they're dogs. Are they dogs? I don't know what they are. Bluey's a dog. Bluey's a dog. Uh-huh. Huh.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I don't know what. but anywho back to the program at hand I'll talk business there we go we are a small business we are small business can you define what a small business is I think if I remember from we already did it's less than 100 employees 50 50 I think it's less than 50 I could be
Starting point is 00:08:43 I honestly could be wrong uh that's what I remember from 100 years ago I've been saying that a lot you were than 500 employees what Jesus that's every fucking business 400 employees is a lot. That's a lot of sharks. Micro enterprises have 10 or fewer. We are micro enterprise.
Starting point is 00:09:03 That's a good. And penis. It ain't macro. It ain't micro. I have a little micro enterprise. In your underwear. That's what we call in a little out in there. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:09:21 I like that. Give me more on micro enterprise. requires less than 50,000 in startup capital. Perfect. Way less than that. Focus on serving local communities or niche markets. Let's go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Frequently launched using microloans rather than traditional bank financing. We did take a micro loan. I took a loan for my wife. Yes. Which I paid back. Okay. Guilty conscience when it comes the money. Like most small business owners.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Of course. We're not a small business. We're a micro enterprise. Yeah. I think all micro enterprise by definition are small business. Hi, folks. I'm H. Foley of Tudie LLC. We're not a small business.
Starting point is 00:10:05 We're a micro enterprise. And we want to help you build your business today. So if you get your checkbook out and make that payable to H. Foley. Or Pat's image of hair style. Which is a shell company I've started with my mother in Bluebell. Um, yeah, I come, listen. And so, I mean, we have, we've had fucking hundreds of submissions at this point. Shout up to them.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Which, I thought we were going to get 40, 50, something like that. Everybody's at their hustler. We didn't even really do a, like, we didn't post it on social media or anything. We made a comment. I think we sent an email out. That's about it. Real, like, under the, under, like, low profile a little bit. Just to see what it was.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And, I mean, I haven't even been able to get through all of them, which we will. but I came up I think about this a lot I came up living in the operations of a small business I think that's why it comes very natural to you know as complicated as it may be
Starting point is 00:11:06 running business with friends and families like that's all I know I was always an employee of a small business Yeah my father was an employee Uh huh Actually my dad did start I think he had a little offshoot
Starting point is 00:11:17 Of his own little insurance business What are you laughing at? What the fuck? What? Start his own Navy. It's like losers. My father was an employee. His father was an employee.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Just a long line of schlubs. What's wrong with that? My grandfather was in debt. He was in debt as prison. First man executed, but not having enough money and got caught stealing oats from the local farm.
Starting point is 00:11:43 It was barley. But you're close. To his family did I call all horse thieves? I can't remember. Cassidy. Something. Yeah, because they changed their name. It was somebody who changed their name.
Starting point is 00:11:56 I am. Or Steve's. He had a little small business for a little while. I think a lot of that was just to write off a piece of the house. You know how you did that? That was big in the early 2000s. Listen, right off a piece of a half. You do it.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Do I? I mean, the accountant does it for you. Huh. I live in the White House. Right now. dollars of love. I don't have a home. Hey,
Starting point is 00:12:28 wish you well. Thanks, pal. Love you, buddy. So it's just, and then people wrote in, you know, I didn't think they were going to share as much of their story as they did, which made it even a billion. Love it.
Starting point is 00:12:39 And it really fucking, I was talking to my wife about it. It's really reminded me how fucking awesome the homies and the bozos are because, like, they took this, like, idea we had and then, like, even gave us more on their life and their background and stuff like And it reminds you the early days of the show where we used to go, they just get it.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Like they just know how to, when they learned how to ask the question, you go, that's fucking, I couldn't write that myself. It was that good. Have you or any member of your family? Yeah, that kind of stuff. But it's like now that's such,
Starting point is 00:13:08 such part of the lexicon that we don't even really think about it. But seeing this stuff. Lexicon. Yeah. I like that. I like Zitekeyes too. I also like micro enterprise. And microdosing.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I did for a little bit. I remember. I think you were at a pretty good stage. at that point. When I was microdosing trumes? Yeah, I mean, that's, yeah. But then I just started taking a bunch of them. I remember.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Yeah, and I was there. Yeah, I remember, man. That's why I'm being sober now. There's just coffee and there's coffee in it. This is straight. That's how much of, this is DMT. And I mean that in a good way, how much of a liar you are,
Starting point is 00:13:50 you have to convince people there's liquid in your cup because you'll fake drink. I'm getting a queues of fake drink. I never fake drink of my life. I know. But I can. Nobody lives a life where they get accused. You've just lied so much.
Starting point is 00:14:01 And people go, I don't even think there's liquid in that cup. No one's ever said that about me ever. That's crazy. I'm going to start doing that at parties. Oh, watch it. Almost got you there. Fake spilling. Oh, watch it.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Like a Turkish waiter when they do that stuff. Then they flip that big pain with the rice. Yeah, I don't get that. I don't get that either. You ever see that? Buddy, get his spoon. You ever see when they got the whole? He's got rice pilaf on the brain.
Starting point is 00:14:24 You ever see when they got the whole chicken or something? like that in one of those that has like a big crust on it and they cut the crust open and then fold that over and there's rice and shit on the inside it's usually lamb it's falling apart hey what are you an al-Qaeda bring it back to America
Starting point is 00:14:40 will you're talking about your fucking your chicken bombs no thank you this goddamn America I get my bird at the supermarket okay go for the suicide vest sauce who hot whoa are you kidding me that joke's self- detonated Who laughed?
Starting point is 00:15:00 I think at me. Now, if you don't mind, they're going to take a sip of liquid from my full cup. Which is there. I could fake drink. You don't even have a cup. You just doing. You got the empty aunt.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Oh, I spilled so. Doing your mind work. That's hot. Real azou sauce. Real azue. Ah, anyhow. All that being said, it was very, I even texted you guys as they were coming in. I was like, guys, this is of this.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Home run. This will be really fucking, really cool. Also, shows the fucking initiative these guys. We're going to shit on you a little bit. Go get us. We're going to pull up some of your emails or some of your website. Well, maybe we'll give you a little bit of as micro-managed, no, what is it? What are we?
Starting point is 00:15:49 Microenterprises. Barrens. Micro-enterprice. Wait, what's in that? Micro-bearance. I like that. Micro barons. Like,
Starting point is 00:15:58 Baron, no Titans. Titans of industry. Yeah, the robber barons. What are that? That's the Gilded Age, all those guys.
Starting point is 00:16:06 What are you watching? Tudors or something like that? You watch those dumb-ass shows. Yeah. Down Navi all of them. Yeah, someone puts Sopranos on real quick. He watches those Sodom and Gomorah shows. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:16:17 They're all having sex with our sisters and cousins and shit. Ruling the land. And they bring in a dragon. Who the fuck's not going to win with a goddamn dragon? Of course that broad's going to run the whole show And fucking dinklage Give me a break I'm gonna out of here

Starting point is 00:17:24 though. That's Chubbies, gang. Chubbies. Brand new bathing suit. Uh-huh. Put it on. Who. Talk of the town. Those things are just built different. Fit, good. There's a thing when, like,
Starting point is 00:17:41 when someone who's making clothes, I listen, I just wear whatever, but like when the cut, when someone who's making pants knows how to make pants, someone's making bathing suit shorts that knows what they're doing, the right in seam, the right material, the right length everywhere, just fits right and you look better.
Starting point is 00:17:57 You really do. It's like buying off the rack versus going to get a tailored suit. Like, yeah, you could go to TJ Max or wherever and buy a discount, a bathing suit. Now with these guys come to right price, right fit cut just for you. Can I say this too? When you're in the pool, you notice it. Oh, yeah. It feels better.

You got that water bubble in your right. Oh, man. I hate that. Because my candies getting. Not with chubbies. They dry quick, letting you go from crushing cannibals to crushing cold ones in no time.

Starting point is 00:21:01 Whoa! Bringing the fucking East Coast to the Great Plains. There you go. There you go. I don't think you're going to pull that. I'm not sure if it's right, but we're rolling with it, dog.

Starting point is 00:21:33 Oh, B-K. Okay. Oh, Luke, what you do? What the fuck are you going? It didn't turn a TV on. Oh, my God. It's supposed to be fucking micro-entrepreneuracy if you look like dickheads.
Starting point is 00:21:43 I'm trying to run a fucking micro-peness business and this is the shit you're giving me. This is how I'm supposed to. You just got a fucking raise, too, dickhead. Hey, shout out to Luke getting a raise. Hey, clap it up for Luke got a raise. He was too. years late.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I'm not good at paperwork. All right, it's coming up. I don't start until next year. I told him it kicks in 2028. I like that. What? This fucking, he's out. So I got the story.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Give me a scoop. Hold on. Let's see if we can pull it out. Luke, you get this guy raised. Shit, Luke. Water ice. It's like some German account or something. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:22:22 That is, wait, that is, that's not German. River Rock Pond today. Mooklochen. Muclaken. Why are you... Wait, Luke. You're on German Instagram. Dude, this is great.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Is this... You're hanging out with my wife? Is this Kevin's... I get German. Her phone's German. It stinks. Wait, the numbers are German? That mean?
Starting point is 00:22:42 I don't know. This is a... Bozeman Montana, water ice. Yeah, this is a... They're showcasing them on... Mom's what next... What I say, water underscore... This guy's getting a lot of good promo.
Starting point is 00:22:54 This is a... Let's go. Pat's in Rehears Town, Blueville, Pennsylvania. Let's get a story. We're from the East Coast. We grew up with Rita's water ice every summer. Shout out to it. Shout out to it.
Starting point is 00:23:07 If you don't know what Rita's water ice is, look, see if you can the, let me get a definition of water ice. To cool, refreshing, slushy-like treat. Water ice, often called water ice in a local accent, is a popular regional name for Italian ice. A sweet, dairy-free, frozen dessert made by. freezing water, sugar, fruit, or flavorans together. It's smoothered in a snow cane because the ingredients freeze together rather than the syrup being poured over to crushed ice. Which I like both. But that dairy free, you can change that when you put a little, when you make a misto.
Starting point is 00:23:42 A little soft serve. Kind of a gelati. I'll do to gelati. I'll do the gelati with vanilla and root beer. Oh, that's my shit. So they started, it's local, I think it's more pretty much on a lot of the. Rita's is on the East Coast at this point, but it started off small business. I believe in Bucks County and Ben Salem, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I went to college with the kid whose dad started Rita's water ice. Is he from Bucks? I don't know. I can't remember. I don't know. I never met him. I don't know. I think he played soccer.
Starting point is 00:24:08 But this is a real club soda. But they started out. That's where you go. You get your sweet treats. You go to Rita's, they were like franchise. And then they fucking blew up. So he goes, we were raised on Rita's water ice every summer. We moved to Montana and found there was no such thing as water ice.
Starting point is 00:24:25 ice here. That's so funny. I just pictured them a bunch of bags in Eagles, Jersey on. He lands in Bozeman and goes, where the hell's water ice? Before even, who even goes to his apartment? We couldn't believe it when we made it actually come out good. I ordered a soft pretzel. They gave me a piece of bread with salt on it. I said, what the hell is this? Good fellow. That, of course. Okay. We decided to make our own. We couldn't believe it when we made it and it actually came out good and tasted like what we were used to. No kidding. We decided to try to sell it. We currently have a small stand in the center of town where you can get water ice and jolades all summer long. There you go.
Starting point is 00:25:01 The name of the business is a shout out to anyone who visits back home. Only a couple people understand it and probably wasn't the best idea for a business name. Water ice? Yeah, people don't know what it. If you don't know the accent, you don't know what. Sure. People don't know what water rice. But I liked it.
Starting point is 00:25:15 I like that. But it's always worth it when someone comes up to the window leaf and it makes it clear that they understand the name. If you're traveling or live in Montana, I'm losing the accent. And you want some regular old East Coast water ice come on over. Shout out to you. Maybe check your German Instagram or whatever you got going on there. Is this it? Is there a Yelp page?
Starting point is 00:25:35 Yeah. Very nice. Cute stand. Water ice. Bozeman Montana. It's unclaimed. A little bit of business advice from micro titans of industry here. Lock it up.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Lock it up. Lock it up. Lock it up. Water ice. Tighten up the fucking Instagram, whatever you got. I don't know what's going on here. 319, North 7th Avenue, Bozman, Montana. 59715.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Or if you're a real micro processes, Frank. If you're a micro hostile takeover guy, we lock it down. Get the website. Don't even give them ideas. Don't do it. The homies support the homies. No one fucking high. There you go.
Starting point is 00:26:11 That's right. Luke. Luke, buy that. Don't do that. Don't even fucking. Get on Wii works or whatever it's called. What's it called? My site.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Peer to peer docking. But do you still have a website? Like a Kevin Ryan, Kevin Ryan Comedy.com. Let's find out. I think I lost it and someone bought it. Nice. And they thought they were going to like bend me over the barrel.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Remember when you thought Gig Sal it was going to save us? When I thought Gip Sal was going to save him. Luke Dempsey. You have a website? Comedy clips. I need an adult not coming soon. Wait, what the fuck is it? What the fuck is this?
Starting point is 00:26:51 Micro processors, Frank. What is this? I just got an email and it renewed my website. L.D. And I completely forgot I had this. What the fuck? Is that me? You got us up there?
Starting point is 00:27:04 Wait, what the fuck is this? This is bullshit. That's Fat Kev. I worked on it. 2020 one special. Wait, this state. A short story. All right, save it.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Save this. This is a whole other episode. We have to focus on the homies and bozos here. Not just bozos. I can't believe this kid just got a fucking raise. This is great. Fucking rat. you're plugging your website, man.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Kids look at first. You're off Kippie's list. Yeah. And once that goes sour, you don't want to be on the other end. How you doing? Big man knows that. Angie will close you out that broad. You got to be on Angie's list.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I don't know what is. Whatever. I don't want to trash other proprietors, but I don't like them. Okay, anyhow. We got another one here. Let's get into it. This is fun. This is what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:27:49 All right, this one's from Michael Samaha. from Upbeat City Entertainment. Upbeat City Entertainment? You might even know. You might remember them. City and State, Florence, South Carolina. Okay. He's in a music entertainment industry.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Okay. I formerly lived in the Northeast where my business was over 20 years established. I'm the sole proprietor of a mobile DJ business where I do weddings, private events, parties, bars, clubs, music bingo, and more. I like music. I met you guys a couple of years back in Providence. He's the Mohegan son DJ.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I do remember this guy. Believe you had a door on. Okay. I relocated South a couple of years ago and I'm trying to rebuild my network in the Carolinas. Let's go. I do travel out of my city. Let's go. That's very common in my business.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Of course. This is also cool as shit that you guys are doing this. Thank you very much. I love you's even more than before. Much love $10 homies since 2021. Let's go. Shout out to you. I remember meeting this guy in Rhode Island.
Starting point is 00:28:49 If you guys are in the Carolina, area and you're looking for a DJ. Looking for a good time. Good time. Upbeat entertainment at DJ Mike underscore. You got it? Wow. I like that logo.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Is that it? Upbeat City Entertainment. I think Luke's getting all these wrong. With over 20 years. Yeah, 20 years. DJ Mike City. DJ Mike City's all right. DJ.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Yeah, that's his DJ underscore Mike underscore City. I remember this, dude. Oh, yeah. I remember that guy right in the middle. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. there you go. Big greas-ball.
Starting point is 00:29:22 That is a nice-looking website. That's how you doing. That piece of shit you had, Luke. L-D. I thought you were shitting on water ice. Never. They're in the network. This guy.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Upbeat City Entertainment 860-908-8-670 for all your Carolina DJ needs. Ten-dollar homie. Hit him up. Maybe he can negotiate a little market and ten percent off market. Something like that. You know what I mean? Cutting deals for the guy? Hey, try.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Hey, you got to spend a little to make a little. You let him handle his business. I know. I'll do five. Tell him Kippy's saying. Tell him fully say it. All right, let's see here. This is fun.
Starting point is 00:30:00 The guys are up to fucking everything out there. I like it. That was a nice logo. Yeah. It's good. Been in 20 years, industry leader, DJ Mike City. All right, this one, this is a little weird, but I kind of respect the story. This is Yuki Holmes.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Y-U-K-I-Homes. Okay, bear with me. We help people, Yuki Holmes Japan. That's the Instagram. I thought it was like Yuki Washington. The greatest sports anchor of all time. Of all the time. We help people buy houses in Japan.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Okay. Me and my best friend started this business after buying a house in Japan for $26,000. They're all over the place and they don't check your bank statements. You just pay all cash. New York is too expensive anyway. So we snowboard and live on one of the best ski areas in the world every season. Ma, I'm moving to Japan. It's four-bedroom house, plenty of room for the bug man.
Starting point is 00:31:01 If he can afford only to rent a room while he saves up. Huh. Probably random, not the business. You were thinking about pretty cool. Love it. It's the only job between him and his best friend. They both met in college. We're garbage and probably still mostly garbage.
Starting point is 00:31:14 But we're garbage that travels well. That's what we're fucking talking about. Yuki homes Japan. 81,000 followers. Your eyes and ears in Japan. property market co-founder The Zillow of Japan. Click more. Click more.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I like that. Hey, good looking kid. Is that him? Ah, everybody got to be on it. What the fuck's with that with Instagram? Yeah, they want you a lot. They want you a lot. Why do they want you on the phone? You can't do it?
Starting point is 00:31:38 Luke's logging in. Didn't want us to see his password. Yeah. Give me the password. But, but 69. It's probably Luke is awesome. 22. Something dumb.
Starting point is 00:31:50 We agree he stinks, right? What would not do with this? Click more. Buy it. Give him a follow. Looking to buy a Jepal's. Is that what they called him? That sounds slightly racist.
Starting point is 00:32:06 A Jepaus. Click the link below. All right. That's pretty cool. Let's see what they got. They got a podcast, too? These freaking kids are old. Ready to buy a home in Japan?
Starting point is 00:32:20 All right. There you go. Seller side communications. Don't play the video. Okay. It's too, you know, just blindly playing fucking, we're producing a show here. Can I own a home of Japan? Yes, you have the same ownership rights as a Japanese citizen.
Starting point is 00:32:34 You own both the home and the land. Don't we do that here? Yeah, but I think in some countries you might just own the house and not the land. No shit. How much are property taxes? Property taxes is about 1.7% of the assessed value of the homes. So cheaper houses mean cheaper taxes. For reference, on a $40,000 home taxes are about $600 per year.
Starting point is 00:32:52 That ain't bid. But so I got a fucking commute. What's that commute? See what a flight to Japan is in like three months. It's like eight hours. Yeah, no, I'm saying money. Money. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:03 How long is it, though? What? How long is a flight to Japan? What? What? Expedia. It's probably like fucking 14 hours. 14 hours.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Well, what's Hawaii? I'm not fucking commuting from Hawaii, and don't bring that up. It's a touchy subject. Cheapest flight is about $5.97. That's a 28 hour with one layover. $500? $600. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:33:24 So does you want to get a vacation home in Japan, something like that? I also think, listen, we're not, we travel a lot, but we're not like fucking backpackers. No. Dude, people for 600 bucks, like, oh, 600 bucks, and a day I'm in Japan, they're all about that. I don't live that kind of life. But a lot of people, this is like something fucking Auri would do. Yeah, I own a fucking $20,000 Japanese house out the door. Thank you very much, Mr. Robato.
Starting point is 00:33:49 It's pretty cool thinking outside the box. Homeowner's insurance are about 300 bucks a year. It's great. That's good. Including earthquake coverage. In case I use the bathroom. Simple joke from a simple man. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Okay. Not to throw that back at you. Why are homes to Japan so cheap? Let's check that out. Because of a unique combination of permissive zoning that allows massive housing over supply, a shrinking population and cultural preference for a new construction over old homes. So you're buying an old fucking, you're buying an old, fucking jalape.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Is that bad? Japan's that? Jala, I don't know. Jalapi? It's a car. No, Jalapi's not. Jalapi is like a beat up car. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:31 An old jalopy. What do you got, Luke? I think it's based on it. You're good. Yeah. I don't know. I heard my uncle. I heard my uncle say it, so I thought it was bad.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Oh, shit. If you hear it on a while with boardwalk, you fucking, it's, there's a coin flipping. Bad news. What do you got, Luke? 1920's turn for an old broken down car. people think it Oh boy
Starting point is 00:34:53 All right Stop down Japanese homes everybody Kevin's uncles Think it's They think it's a slur It's not All right
Starting point is 00:35:03 Very nice There's a shrinking population In Japan Yeah sucks Well they have a lot of old people Aw That's good They'll live forever
Starting point is 00:35:11 They're eating old And they're not having as many kids No And I just found out They eat something else too This slik How you doing That's one of my
Starting point is 00:35:20 favorite jokes of all time. They eat like mung beans or something like that. There's something that they have that gives it, it's like the hot new thing. It's fermented something. It gives you something. This is a very informative tangent. I know, and I'm so bad with it. It looks like melted peanut brittle.
Starting point is 00:35:35 It all comes down to socialization. That's what all the oldest people who live have. That and olive oil. Remember that? We thought that was going to save us. Everybody. They had that on it. I just remember we'd go to Italian restaurant.
Starting point is 00:35:47 My dad would be soaking his fucking bread in Italian. It ain't good for you. Yeah. Just drowned it in that fucking pound of parmesan cheese on it. All right, let's see here. Very cool. That's a very, that's a very interesting. Also, look at the fucking, I love it.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Outside of, like, they're fucking doing everything. Diversity. Vertical integration. Micro processes. Enterprise. Frank. Micro enterprise. All right, let's see here. This is, Leonardo DiCaprio.
Starting point is 00:36:14 This is real fucking salt of the other shit. This one's from Dylan Perry, H&A. H&H processing. Love it. What do you think that is? They process criminals. Meat processing and prep. Really?
Starting point is 00:36:28 Uh-huh. I like this. That's an art form. They run a true farm-to-table butcher shop out of their property in Synthiana. I believe I'm pronounced that. Cynthia, Cincinnati, Kentucky. He is a certified, as I guess the dad,
Starting point is 00:36:44 is certified by the state through the University of Kentucky and can handle beef, pork, turkey, beer, bison, and Elk. He is equipped to handle the entire job from slaughtered to packaging and makes the customer orders for in-house made jerky steak, sausage burgers, hot dogs, and carry just about anything else you can think of to eat some clean and fresh meat. Whoa. Look at that hat. If that's not a guy who knows his way around the deer, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Ship the hat. That's a fucking sick hat. Cammo, for the audio listener, it's camo with like the hunters, orange H&H processing, 859-3333-1-1603. So if you're in the Kentucky area, Cynthia. So if you're a hunter, do you bring your thing in any process before you?
Starting point is 00:37:30 I guess, but they also, okay, I'm not done yet. He works directly with hunters and farmers through all the seas farmers too. Like if you're like, oh, I have a dairy, but the slaughter's probably another, you know, another avenue that you're like,
Starting point is 00:37:42 I'll, we act, we, not export, outsource that. He works directly with hunters and farmers through all seasons and processes. well over 200 deer in the 2025 season alone. They make regular donations with all the surplus to local food pantries and is a major supplier to the Kentucky hunters
Starting point is 00:38:00 for the hungry charity across Central Kentucky, donating thousands of pounds of meat for the less fortunate Kentuckians over the years. What are we fucking doing? Let's go. Salt of the earth. Great. You ever have bear?
Starting point is 00:38:14 No. Got me hungry for sure. Great mission, great food. help your boy out and spread the word loveyans. Let's go. That's fucking. H&H process. Also, I love a, you know, it's a blue collar family organization when the website is the Facebook
Starting point is 00:38:33 page. You know what you're getting. If you go to a bar, you Google, hey, what's this bar? Let me see the menu of this bar and it's a Facebook page. I don't even click. I'm going right there. They got, that's the kind of vibes Kippie's looking for. There's no big overhead.
Starting point is 00:38:47 They go. I got the Facebook paid. What do I need a website for? I know everybody. Pay for URL? Put that back into the savings when you're getting your meat processed. That's a fucking, that's a guy who's like, I know all my customers. I shake him in the hand.
Starting point is 00:39:05 I look at him. And they live down his street. That's the next guy ain't looking for huge expansion, but he wants to grow to business. I bet you his old man's good with a knife. Be. All right. Let's see here. This one's from Michael Zakario, Zacharo.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Business name Tox Brewing Company, New London, Connecticut. Okay. Craft Brewery. I know New London. In 2019, I left a cubicle to start a small business and tap room with my lifelong best friend. Love it. We actually started homebrewing in our college dorm, don't tell the RA, before eventually graduating to my garage after college. My business partner's day job is a clinical toxicologist.
Starting point is 00:39:51 at the Hartford Hospitals for Poison Control Center and a professor of pharmacy. Okay. The brewery's name and theme come from the expertise. Many of our beer names artwork and Brandon are also inspired by the poisonous plants, animals, mushrooms, and other toxins. Like this. I like this.
Starting point is 00:40:06 They got an angle. Uh-huh. Less than two years ago, we expanded to a 15,000 square foot historic building in the heart of downtown New London. Holy shit, 15,000 square feet is huge. Today we brew three times as much beer and have grown into a local. destination and travel spot for craft beer lovers. We have a restaurant, coffee shop, private event space,
Starting point is 00:40:27 speakeasy style cocktail lounge, and even a live poison dart frog exhibit. Keep me away from that. The animal featured on our logo. We also partnered with a production brewery with production brewery near New Haven to brew larger batches that are distributed over through roughly 30 states and internationally. You can find our beer fungoo in New York and NYC and New Jersey. Let's go. So if you're a fucking beerhead or live in New London,
Starting point is 00:40:51 New London. Check them out. We're conveniently located halfway between New York and Boston right off I-95, the Curridor right there. We are near the Coast Guard Academy and the Naval Submarine Bats, Blue Collar shit. We're right by the Naval Academy, as well as a lot of tourist destinations like the big casinos and like Mystic and Rhode Island beaches. If you boys are ever passing through the Southeastern Connecticut, we'd love to host an AYG comedy show. We have a big tap room, low ceilings, flexible lighting, just saying. Flexible lighting. This guy's a sales, man. Flexible, dude, no one's ever pitched. Plus all the poison frogs you can lick. I'm trying to keep the big man on the street in that row.

Starting point is 00:41:49 Let's go. One of the best. I don't want to say like dirt bag things I heard. A buddy's dad owns a trucking, like a mechanic for like big truck for like tractor trailers. And it was real cold, real cold. And we were like complaining about the cold or someone made the comment to him. And he's like, I love the cold.
Starting point is 00:42:08 And we're like, why his truck thing was right off 95. He goes, all these big trucks are running up and down 95. All these shit breaks in the cold. They, they did the off ramp right into my yard. Like he was just like, They're traveling up from Florida, warm weather truckers. Bang. They hit the cold snap.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Something fucking, he goes, pull right in it again. Gasket blows. Yeah, he's sitting there, like rubbing his hands. He's like, I just corral him right in. They got nowhere to go. Love that. Yeah. Real dirtbag shit.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Location, location, location, right off 95. Great location. Location, location, poison frogs. Let's go. That's awesome. That's a fucking home run one right there. All right, let's get into. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Starting point is 00:43:28 I mean, it's got the olives, artichoke arts, feta. I never heard of that. I haven't. I'm going to have to meet it anyway. All right. Got that. We get my too many poison dart frogs.
Starting point is 00:43:41 I like roasted wings, too. Not fried. All right. Let's see here. I do. This just in. I'm staying with it. sticking with it.

Starting point is 00:49:52 About six years ago, I was bartending in downtown Denver when the bar I worked out with shot up. Okay? That was my last night in a service industry. That guy's so funny. Fuck this. Harold, I'm leaving. He said it at the other.
Starting point is 00:50:07 This guy sounds like he's typing this from the corner of a bar. guys. Last night, I'd been fucking hanging up my apron at night. Ever since, I've been on the other side of the bar. I thought building stuff sounded cool and found the guy willing to train me. Worked for him for years and have been all my own for just over two years now. Let's go. Let's fucking go.
Starting point is 00:50:26 I mainly subcontract through remodel companies and do a lot of basement remodels, installing cabinets, doors, building shelves, mandals, handrails, handrails, bookcases, trimming work, crown molding, custom buildings, and all the stuff. and all the stuff. I would love to do more custom fun stuff. I can't paint for shit, but hopefully some other blue collar bozo in here can help me with that.
Starting point is 00:50:50 So hit him up. He's obviously a professional. So a lot of, like, if I, you know, a lot of the industry, these trades, a lot of my family members, like my uncles and stuff, they own their own company, but they're, you can't go knock on the door
Starting point is 00:51:06 of like ABC drywall. Mm-hmm. They just have like two or three clients that they work for that just gives them all the work. It's still like commercial or whatever. So this is what this guy sounds like. He's got a few builders that he works with. They call him and go, hey, we just built a new office or like go in. He doesn't put a cam in.
Starting point is 00:51:24 He's not finding customers like on the street. He's got a company that works for a few other. Yeah, they just go. Here you go. Here you go. Feed them work. I worked for when I was in theater school. I worked for whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Theater school at the Hedger Theater. Oh, that gets lower and long. I got the YMC. I lost confidence in it. That was a mascot school. Goddain theater school, Luke, Repertory Theater Company, Rose Valley, Pennsylvania, the Edro Theater.
Starting point is 00:51:53 I worked with a guy who did that kind of stuff. He did, like, niche. Like, they would hire him to, like, just paint the door on, like, these old houses. Because you had to paint it a certain way. Sure. Like, that old stuff, for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:06 That makes sense. Or pull all the fucking. like old fixtures and knobs and all that stuff. A lot of money in that stuff. Fiber optic cable. I get a loser. All right, let's try you broad. Let's try one of these broads.
Starting point is 00:52:27 What do you say? Chrissy told Patsy not to take it. All right, this one's from Katie Neary. Hey, Katie. The business name is Haven. I like that. Yonkers, New York. Local gal, shout out to you.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Love it. She's a professional. organizer. Get her down here. Haven, founded by Katie Neary, shout out Katie, helps busy families that are overwhelmed and frustrated by the chaos that is their cluttered homes. Haven excels in working with individuals going through a transition, including welcoming a
Starting point is 00:52:58 baby, getting married or divorced, moving, upsizing. Hey, wow, look at that. I feel like we know her. That's great. That's real sharp right there. Yeah, I want to say maybe she's. Fishing a realtor.com, Westchester? Westchester?
Starting point is 00:53:15 West, that's very nice. Go back up. That's fantastic. That's a nice looking kitchen. See, services. Go to these services. I go to service. Here's so I can help.
Starting point is 00:53:27 That's sharp. Move management. Decluttering, connecting with trusted moving vendors, moving day coordination, support, unpacking and organizing, donation, trash removal, creation, customized system. Wow, that's amazing. Home organization.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Yeah, very cool. Click about me. That's very nice. I wasn't always organized. Confession time as a teenager. I was basically a human tornado with a shopping habit. I bought things I didn't need, rarely appreciated, and usually let them live out their days in a messy pile on my floor.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Becoming a professional organizer never crossed my radar, but then adulting happened. Life got busy. Responsibilities piled up, and suddenly I found myself craving structure and ordered desperately. I respect that. Yeah, there you go. I love those stairs, too.
Starting point is 00:54:09 I love when the stairs have that kind of carpet. You know what that's called? a runner. Very nice. You know what's even classier when they got the runner and then they got like the brass bar? I never,
Starting point is 00:54:19 I was in a museum in Ireland that had that. You probably grew up going to houses like that didn't you a little rat? What are you yelling at Luke for? I don't know. I thought that's what we were doing.
Starting point is 00:54:28 I was taking a page out of your book. Very nice. That's the kind of stairs you'd like to slide down and they're fun to run up and they're also fun to play with your guys on steps like that. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:54:38 A couple guys you met at the bar met at the toolbox. You know what I mean? You put your little vehicles and stuff on one of the steps and you can kind of sit on the steps? What's that? How old are you again? 50. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:50 Just saying. Just checking. Yeah. Young at heart, bud. That's all I mean. Whatever. I would probably say. It's a nice banister, too.
Starting point is 00:54:55 That's got crown molded. That's probably the kind of stuff the last guy would be brought in to do. Our last guy. Maybe, yeah. He said crown molding. I love a good crown molding. I put the crown molding up in here. I know you did.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. I have your invoice. Someone's still jealous about the whole. Can't be doing a Crown Molden, brother. I ordered the lunches. It wasn't for me.
Starting point is 00:55:22 You never would have that blimpy sand. All right. This is from Patrick Walton. PGW auto detailing in the great Norristown, Pennsylvania. Let's go. Clap it up for a homegrown PA boy. Shout out on his own. Go to his Instagram and Facebook.

Starting point is 00:56:38 kids were vicious. I want to give this kid a call? I get him a call. Let's get him a call. Let's see if he picks up. What he got there? Go to the number. What the hell, Luke?
Starting point is 00:56:48 The freak, Luke. Man, you're like fucking Ryan Howard. You get the bag and fucking you start slacking off. That's a deep cut. That is a maybe 20-year-old. Baseball. He doesn't even know he is just. The Phillies legend?

Starting point is 00:59:28 You're at the king of Prussia Mall doing what? What? Delivering food. That's what I do on the side. Let's go. You're hustling like that. So you got the detailing service and then you're delivering food on the side. Who's ordering food at the mall, though?
Starting point is 00:59:39 Who orders food at the mall? I got that food court. I was using the bathroom. Hey! Dude, this gets perfect. It's got it all mapped out. Do you do a number one or number two there? Oh, I'll keep that off the air.

Starting point is 01:02:23 Cuban killed it. Yeah. He did. Listen, that guy's, I like Cuban. He's a bit of a bozo at times for sure, but like. Isn't that kind of fucked up? Shouldn't they've done that on a fucking, what's the word, a mentorship basis to a degree? I think that's kind of what they are selling, to be fair.

Starting point is 01:03:06 Because they do like a hundred a day and then only air five. I'd give them so much person now they have to. I'd be doing backflips and shit. Hey, sharks. Gippie, hit him with the detail. I'm just the razzle-dazzle, man. I sell the sizzle. I'm going to go check out crafty.
