Starting point is 00:00:00 It comes down from the sky. I have no idea what the heck this is. Changes course and flies directly at the drone. We're all just looking up at the stars. Lo and behold, I see something that turns onto us like someone taking a flashlight. It's up in the sky. It's round. We're super bright, shining in our faces, and it disappears. Then we see this blue flash come over the hillside.
Starting point is 00:00:27 You're somehow being observed by whatever this thing was. Was. Were you scared when you saw that light? Yeah, we were scared. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another episode of debrief. Before we get into today's subject with our guest, I do want to encourage you to do a few things that really help this channel out. So like this video, subscribe, and let's get into it.
Starting point is 00:01:56 I am joined today by Jesse DeLuca from Jesse DeLucah, Wildlife Canada. Wild, Wild Canada. Wild Canada. Close enough. Almost nailed that. Folks, today we're going to be taking a look at something really, really interesting. So Jesse's also from Quebec. And he likes to go out there and film sort of like wildlife with his drone or with his cameras
Starting point is 00:02:20 and take a lot of photos. But he ended up actually capturing something really interesting and really honestly bizarre on camera, which we're going to have a look at today. Maybe you guys can be the judge and decide what exactly this thing is. So thank you for joining us today. Yeah, it's a pleasure, Chris. Thanks for having me.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Absolutely. When I saw this, by the way, we'll get into the footage probably pretty early so that we're not dragging the audience along for the whole show. be able to get to see the good stuff right away. Yeah. But when I saw this, I saw this on the, was it UAP files? Yep, UAP files, podcast.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Podcast, exactly. You had an interview there, and when I saw the footage, I was absolutely like gobsmacked because I was like, that's unexplainable. Yeah. And I think he did such a good job interviewing you, and that was a great podcast. I'll probably link that below if you guys want to check that interview out as well.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Let's have a look at the footage to get started. Sure. And then we'll get into everything. And maybe while I'm setting this up, maybe you can let the audience know what it is you do. Yeah, yeah. So my YouTube channel is all about capturing wildlife in the wild with trail cameras. These cameras are used for hunting purposes usually. But biologists do use them for research in tracking different types of wildlife.
Starting point is 00:03:49 and I try to capture what's going on in the forest when nobody's there looking. So I have a lot of fun going out and hiking and traipsing around the woods and checking out these cameras. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning every time I go get a chance to pull a memory card and take a look inside and see what we've captured. How long do you scrub videos for? Because I feel like if you're just out there filming not knowing, like you're doing the work twice. right you're going to sit back and looking at everything uh maybe not everything sometimes i i could tell if there was like some bad weather and i can look at the timestamps of each recording i can try and weed out everything that i know maybe just like moving trees and wind and stuff like that yeah
Starting point is 00:04:39 but sometimes something might run through as well so you never you never know right you're not posing for the camera so it it could be kind of time consuming if you get a camera with, I think the most I've had recently was maybe 450 videos. Wow. All one minute long. Oh, not all of them. The nighttime videos on that camera are only maximum 20 seconds. Wow. But yeah. But yeah, I have fun. Still several hours of shifting. And sometimes there might be something a little bit beyond in view that you hope you're going to see and it's captured some movement. And you can't always tell the first time, especially if you're looking on your phone and just downloaded it in the forest and not looking on a larger screen.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Because you're looking for something else too. This is mentioned on the podcast, but you're also on the hunt for something pretty elusive. And maybe you talk about that. Well, I'm always curious to see what's out there that is the rare thing, that you don't always get to see and even capture on camera. Big cats would be something really awesome. Even if it could be the native ones of bobcats and lynx, it would be really amazing.
Starting point is 00:05:50 But there's always the stories about cougars existing in the province of Quebec. And the government does completely deny it. They say they do not exist here. Biologists recently told me that our snow's too deep. I'm like, wait a second, don't they live in Montana? And they got deep snow. That is true. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Funny, the government also denies other things that we're about to look at. Of course. So this is the footage here. What model drone is this, by the way? It's a DGI Mini 3 Pro. Oh, great. So this is 4K. 4K 30 frames per second.
Starting point is 00:06:24 So you're getting a 4K, basically a 4K video of an unidentified object that we're looking at. And the only reason I call it unidentified is because I have no idea what the heck this is. So talk us through this video as it gets started right now. So this was the evening. Feel free to pause it whenever you want. Okay. Just after 8 p.m. on May 19th. So it was a couple months until I actually got a chance to go and review this footage.
Starting point is 00:06:49 And I had no idea that I recorded this. A lot of people say, well, how come you had stopped? And I said, well, maybe I was fiddling with the controls or possibly my son was running around me outside. I got a four-year-old boy and he likes to bug dad a lot. I don't know. I can't even remember what I was doing honestly. So I wanted to film The Beautiful Sunset, get some nice B-roll for my chance. That is beautiful.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And yeah, so I was going upwards. And I usually take this route on our family's property where I fly back to where there's a marshy area, which is absolutely gorgeous, hoping that I'm going to capture some wildlife. There it is. Yeah. So this thing flies down. And it comes down. We should roll back. It comes down from the sky.
Starting point is 00:07:39 So it's not coming out of the forest. So that's one thing I noticed right away. and the way it swoops down. So on the top, top right of the screen, how this white object comes swooping down into that, that field. So that was a field created by my late father-in-law that they had cattle there.
Starting point is 00:08:04 So they had cut down some areas of the forest to have the cattle to graze. And so this thing comes down close to the ground, zips around like a bug. Now you can see it going back. Yeah, there goes right by the camera. Yeah. So the drone is moving forward. I do give you that.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Yeah. I'm moving forward so it may increase the appearance of the speed it flies by. Sure. But if it was a bird, I'm a bird photographer. Right. And I've seen birds with the drone. Yeah. You would see it.
Starting point is 00:08:38 You would see flapping wings and everything. And just the way it moves and just changes course and flound. flies directly at the drones. So fast. Yeah. Because it also, when it starts off, and we're going to have, we're going to zoom in on this and post here,
Starting point is 00:08:59 but when it comes down to this little field, first of all, there is like a maneuver it does. Because you can kind of see it start off and then go straight and then all of a sudden go down. Yeah. Right? So I've tried to reproduce this just the other day
Starting point is 00:09:16 with my own drone to see if I can actually kind of do like a swoop. No, I can't. Like the camera drones, you literally are like descending slowly and it's very, I guess, robotic, I guess I would call it. And this is very natural the way it seems to move. And right here, boom. Boom. I'm going to try to stop on a frame here so you can get a close look at it.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Maybe if you can put it in slow motion, you might be able to catch it. Right there. Yep. That's about as close. as it gets to the camera. And you can't, you can't tell what it is at all. You,
Starting point is 00:09:57 like, so we're going to take a look at something here, but down there in this, in this opening, by the way, if you guys want to check out a full detailed video of this, you do a great job
Starting point is 00:10:09 breaking you down on your channel, so I highly encourage anyone to go below, check the link out, go watch this video for yourself. And if you're into wildlife stuff, definitely subscribe. Definitely check out his channel.
Starting point is 00:10:19 He's got some really high quality content on there. But going into this opening, you know, you're, there's a lot of speculation. Like I read a lot of the comments and a lot of people are like, one guy's like, it's a bug. Which blows my mind that someone thinks that this is an insect. Like if this, I'm terrified more of the forest now. If there are insects that size. Yeah. Out there.
Starting point is 00:10:45 If you think of biology wise, the dragonflies are out now. That's the biggest flying bug around. and May 19th, they're not out. Right. At all. So in terms of large insects flying, if we ought to really try to debunk this, there's black flies.
Starting point is 00:11:01 How far is that field from here? From the drone. From the drone. It's got to be half a kilometer. Yes, yes. Because I know that usually my range of distance I can get with the drone at my max, a loud altitude is roughly 900 meters or so.
Starting point is 00:11:22 And that's just a little bit further. So yeah, I would say it's about four to 500 meters from the drone. So quarter mile. I dare any of you to spot a dragonfly a quarter mile away? Yeah, there is that. Also, I noticed when I zoomed in and even had it in slow motion, I do point out in my own video that you can see birds flying out when it's down there. So they're very, very tiny, but you can see faintly things that fly out of the trees in the forest.
Starting point is 00:11:50 and they're considerably smaller than it. Yeah. And I know that those are birds. They have to be. Because this thing, birds don't go up and straight. No. That's the movement here that is most perplexing.
Starting point is 00:12:04 If it were to come down and then to arc its way away, even then you're like, okay, what is that? But it seems like a more of a natural trajectory. This, however, goes down. And once it's down, there is a point where, if we zoom in, there is a point where it looks like It's kind of grazing or it's kind of like hanging out down there. We don't really know what it's doing.
Starting point is 00:12:25 It's looking at things. To me, it is moving around like an insect wood. Yes. Down there, yes. And a drone, like, if I was trying to do that with my drone, no, I can't. I literally would be like turning, go this way, turn it, go that way. So the way it radically moves, I wouldn't be able to recreate it. I mean, it's just so quick to come by because I understand that if you're flying drones,
Starting point is 00:12:53 you're seeing stuff out there fly by the lens and you know because of the speed of the drone you can often mistake things for you know moving when they're actually stationary and I understand that but this is you're a quarter mile away and within a two seconds
Starting point is 00:13:14 it is right beside the drum yeah how fast is that it's extremely fast. Yeah, it's pretty fast. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's quite fast. And the fact that you can see it come from that far away, because a lot of other people said, well, it's an effect with the sunlight,
Starting point is 00:13:35 and it's actually a bug flying in front of the lens. No. This is half speed right now. Half speed, you just saw it in the field. And at half speed, it's about four seconds before it. I mean, that's incredible. It goes up and then just shoots in a straight line. Man, if you knew that you were filming this.
Starting point is 00:14:04 No, I had no idea. I'm using my phone with the controller. I don't have the actual, the two controller. And, yeah, I mean, there's a lot of stuff that's very small that I won't be able to see, especially with the type of light to when you're filming. I'm hoping I'm going to see a nice moose walking out in that that marsh in the back, which I've never got to film yet, hopefully one day. That'd be a good payoff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Almost as good as this. Yeah, almost as good as this. What? Okay. So the other thing that jumps to my mind, and I'm sure the audience as well, you know, they're pretty savvy, but FPV drone. I don't have any experience with them. I've seen videos online. I've read a lot of the comments saying that a lot of the comments saying that a lot of,
Starting point is 00:14:52 of these different reels I've seen. The person has actually sped it up to make it look more incredible. I don't know for sure. I have no idea. That would be the only thing I would think could, like, move like that and move at that speed and erratically like that. But the people that live in the area are not, like, there's a lot of elderly. Do you have sound on this?
Starting point is 00:15:18 No. I mean, the drone doesn't record sound, right? course, sounding. So, no, there's no audio, unfortunately. I wish they did, but the propellers are so loud. Right, yeah. But you might have been able to, if it was another drone, hear that.
Starting point is 00:15:31 You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, I would definitely. Yeah, I would hear it when I'd be out there because it's dead quiet. That's right, yeah. Yeah. And this is an area that isn't really, there aren't a lot of people out here. No.
Starting point is 00:15:45 There aren't a lot of people actually flying drones out here. Like, have you ever encountered other people flying drones? No. Yeah. So you have a second video. And this video is the actual area. This one does have audio, so I don't know if you want to turn out. My commentary is on it. I filmed this last week while on vacation there. I had my my folks up. Okay, guys. So right here is where that UAP. was flying and this is my father he's uh five foot 10 or so and here are the trees that it was flying around back in may so now in the zoomed-in version these look like little shrubs yeah because you you have
Starting point is 00:16:44 no way of telling how big they are no these are much bigger than i thought yeah yeah there's some of them are close to 10 feet tall some of them um we're letting that field rewild and letting the trees grow back because we don't we don't farm cattle and yeah so those things are not little tiny bushes eight foot tall trees is almost nine foot tall there you go got a little bit of an idea yeah so how big do you estimate this object to be now that you've gone down there and you've reviewed it with your footage i guess to me maybe like like a like a beach ball Like, you know, one of the bigger beach balls, something like that. So, I mean, if that was a drone, again, the, like, professional drone pilots fly these things.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Yeah. Not regular people. No. And they're not just coming down, going up, and leaving. They're doing all sorts of cool stuff. Yeah. That's kind of scary. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:58 It's weird. How do you feel about that? Well, it's weird because, like, yeah, now I go off in this forest by myself. And there's a lot of people. that say like Jesse aren't you are afraid of the bears and stuff? Yeah. When I go out there, I don't, I don't see anything. I'm lucky if I see any wildlife.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Sometimes I see some birds of prey. Yeah. That's really cool. I've seen owls. I've seen hawks. I've seen a fox deer. But then there was once I saw a cow moose on Christmas Day snow shoeing, but it was because I was making no noise.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Yeah. It was fresh powder snow, so the animal couldn't hear me coming. So now I'm walking around out there saying, what am I going to see next? Do you ever get scared walking out there alone now? Is that something that's on your mind? I went out on Saturday. I had a good couple hour hike. No, I didn't think about it.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I got to not stress because this is something I love to do. I'm very focused on keeping my life positive, I guess. That's a good way of putting it. Yeah, yeah, that's it. because otherwise if we stress about this, you're going to go on with anxiety throughout the rest of your life. And that's not healthy. No, I feel the same way.
Starting point is 00:19:13 I think this stuff is also a positive thing. Yeah. I think these sightings are cool and they're amazing. And they potentially just peak our curiosity for, you know, the unknown. That's it. And I think, yeah. Yeah. In today's, you know, day and age with all this technology and everything else,
Starting point is 00:19:29 to have an unknown is cool. I mean, that's just not something we come across every now and then. No, definitely not. You had, you spoke to me earlier about another encounter that you've had, and the only other encounter, or the only real encounter that you've had that you can't explain. Is that something you'd want to talk about? Yeah, absolutely. I'm trying to remember the year.
Starting point is 00:19:51 It's sometime between 2005, 2010. My whole life I've been camping in the Papi Nolla Bell Wildlife Reserve in Quebec, and I would once in a while go out and try to howl at the wolves to get the wolves to howl back. People have done this and been successful. I never was. So I go out for a stroll with my buddies one night and down the road from the campsite. And we're all just looking up at the stars. The stars are gorgeous up there.
Starting point is 00:20:20 And lo and behold, I see something that turns onto us like someone taking a flashlight and turning it on to you, like as if they were on the road with you, but it's up in the sky, it's round, super bright, shining in our faces, and then just moves slowly off to the right and then just disappears,
Starting point is 00:20:43 almost like it fades away. Then we see this blue flash come over the hillside with this, like almost like a bang sound, like something exploded in the distance. And we all looked at each other and all confirmed that we all saw it
Starting point is 00:20:57 and said, we're freaked out and let's go back to the campsite. And we still talk about it to this day. And that's, I mean, it's close to, getting close to 20 years ago. Wow. That was a clear sky. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, those type of things are really interesting because, you know, when your rational brain is trying to kick in the entire time, I feel. Because I've had a few sightings and it's always like, the first thought that comes to your mind is always like, what is that? What your brain's like running into a wall trying to like match it up with a plane with a helicopter with some type of drone, you know. And by the time you realize that it's none of those things like you were you scared when you saw that light initially or were you just confused?
Starting point is 00:21:43 We were scared. Yeah. Yeah, we were scared. Oh, for sure. We all looked at each other and said, look, we got to get back to the campsite. Like I don't want to be hanging out here any longer at all. Who knows what that is. I talked to one of my close friends, my buddy Sean.
Starting point is 00:21:57 He works in aerospace industry and he said it's, he said he thinks it's an erudium flare. So I don't know if we can, you can do some research on that later and maybe bring it up or in your. An eridium flare. Yeah. So I don't know exactly what that is. I'm not knowledgeable enough. Did this thing look like sentient? Did this thing look like there was something behind it that was controlling it or did it look like a natural current?
Starting point is 00:22:21 Well, the way we saw something turn on us, like as if. you know, you're down an alleyway and a police officer turns a flashlight on you, hey, who's there? Like, that's how it felt. That's what gave us the chills down her spines. That, that, uh, you just say, that was, that was odd. That was really strange. You're somehow being observed by whatever this thing was.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Yeah. Wow. Yeah, that would, uh, that would give me the heby-jeebies a little bit, especially at nighttime, eh? Like the, that's, yeah, it's dark. You can't see. We're limited in our abilities being human, you know? So it's, it's, uh, we can't see every.
Starting point is 00:22:57 and we don't have night vision goggles. We can't tell what's out there. So you're like, oh, I hope it doesn't get me. I've always, I've always tried to like imagine, like sightings during the day would be so much cooler for a thousand different reasons, but also for the fact that I wouldn't be scared. Like, I'm like, because I had a friend to ask me,
Starting point is 00:23:17 he was like, he was like, if you saw a craft come out, or something in the Discord actually, like if you saw craft land and like these beings, or this door opened, like and you saw these beings or something would you go towards them would you run away would you stop would you freeze like what would you do and i'm like for me one of the main questions is what time a day is it because if it's 11 a m i might be more inclined to being you know skipping their way and being a little curious of what's going on here yeah if it's three in the morning yeah i'm going to probably
Starting point is 00:23:49 shit myself like i don't know what i would do i was going to say that Exactly. What a way to make first contact. Yeah. Wow, that's incredible. Has this at all changed your perspective on the subject matter? Well, I think so because I, you know, I have a very passionate person sitting next to me. I spoke to one last week, Jim. And you guys believe it's, it's something and not just a bug. so that, you know, pushes me further to be even more of, well, believer. Like I said to Jim, I said, I'm someone who's like that loves wildlife and biology and there's no doubt we're not alone in this universe. It's impossible. It's impossible.
Starting point is 00:24:45 So, yeah, I'm curious. That's exactly why I put my trail camera in that spot. Someone says, it's like, oh, keep filming in that location. But I don't know if I'll start to get freaked out if we start seeing it more and wonder and wonder if they know that we're watching and that kind of thing. So it starts, you know, rolling through your head all the different thoughts. But as I said before, if something bad were going to happen, I mean, there's nothing I could do to stop it. So why go about stressing and just be kind of fascinated about it and go from. there. And I don't care what friends and family think if they, you know, I don't think I'm crazy. No, clearly not. I mean, you're not, you're not in any way, shape, or form saying that this is an
Starting point is 00:25:38 alien. You know, we're sitting here looking at something that, and the whole point of this discussion is to just put the question out there to more people, you know, what do you think it is? Yeah. And let that sit with you. And if you, there are other, you know, there are other videos out there. Have you seen some of the other videos out there? I watched one. The Utah one? Maybe it was that. It was something similar to what I filmed,
Starting point is 00:26:02 but flew like towards it. And I watched this whole thing where they went to see some video specialists and the guy said it would be incredibly difficult to replicate the blur of it flying by. So. Right. Otherwise, if someone was to fake it, it would probably be a solid, perfect object going by and not have the the real blur that you would have when filming or taking a photo of something
Starting point is 00:26:29 that's that's actually moving yeah yeah absolutely and and what a what a wild thing to hoax uh you know a blurry unknown you know if you're going to hoax something make it a UFO make it aliens make it something worthwhile don't make it uh don't make it uh you know don't make a speculate on whether or not it's an insect um we're going to I'm not going to watch this entire ad here. And we got another one. All right. So there it is.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Yeah, I think I saw this. This is the one you've seen. So this is footage from Utah, I believe. And it was 4K. It was a drone as well. Boom. That was fast. Looks similar.
Starting point is 00:27:11 So this thing comes blazing towards the camera. And much like you, this guy is just like a drone guy. He's just like filming stuff out there, getting some nice B-roll, probably his first channel as well. And when all of a sudden, he gets this flyby, you know, which they speculated to be thousands of miles an hour. We're going to see you here in a second. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Yeah. So this is a lot like what, there it is. I mean, that looks a lot like. It looks like what my drone recorded. Yeah. And again, if there's an insect out there flying that fast, like, could you imagine the damage that would have on your skull, that ran into you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:01 That's pretty crazy. Pretty incredible. So what is it, I mean, now that you see things like this, like other videos, and I believe there's like two other videos that I looked at as well.
Starting point is 00:28:10 I might bring them in and post, but that were similar to this. Like, does that kind of peak your interest a little bit more about these sightings? Yeah. No, it does for sure. It does for sure because I didn't expect to record that. I really didn't.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Yeah. It wasn't your goal. Nope. Not at all. Well, folks, I'll let you guys be the judge of whatever it is you think that was. Jesse, I won't take up any more of your time. We've looked at this. Now it's in their hands.
Starting point is 00:28:44 We've had a half an hour here to sit on this and look at it and dissect it. And God knows, I've really looked at this in detail on my end over and over and over again. Yeah, I don't know what to make of it, but I'm glad you were able to come down here. I really appreciate that. Yeah, I figured I wanted to come and meet you and check to see what you had to say about it. And who knows? I mean, I think I'm a lot like you on this subject matter where I'm not so quick to jump the gun on things. It's just like my natural skepticism. I'm a magician as well by trade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:20 It's, you know, I know how things work and I know how easy it is to trick the human mind. Okay. That being said, have somebody here who, who. films a lot of things and not be able to tell me what that is, that's where my interest gets piqued. Yeah. I mean, my channel is all about showing you what is real. That's right.
Starting point is 00:29:37 What is actually happening out there and not to show you something fake. That's for sure. Yeah. All right. Bug, bird, or UFO for you to decide, folks, let me know in the comments below. And if you're interested in checking out the entire video where Jesse breaks this down, again, I mentioned, you can check out his channel. I'll leave it in the link below.
Starting point is 00:29:57 It's Jesse DeLucah Wild Canada. That's right. Oh, I got it this time. Thanks again, man, for joining me. I appreciate you. Thanks a lot. Thanks for having me. All right.
