I think it's going to be popular for maybe another, um,

So like an attack with a bow isn't it doesn't count as an attack. Like that's stupid. Like you should

make an attack with it with a with a with a bow count as an attack. And there's like a lot of like confusing language like that that it's like it didn't really matter in in base game. But like whenever you're trying to play the game it's just i don't know should count as physical shouldn't it yeah i mean it's just dumb like it's like kind of like how p oe one has like a lot of mechanic like less like less and uh you know uh what was it uh more and less and like increase yeah increase and less like these are synonymous terms and like one of them doesn't denote a different type of like delineation that would logically a player would come to. And so it's like, how do you do that? Like, you're basically making it to where, like, the player has to, like, stop looking at the boss in order to res people. And, like, it's just, like, there's a lot of games that they create, like, these elements of friction that feel like shit to deal with.

And they create frustrating outcomes. And I think that's a really good example of it. Bosses kill you before you get to res. Yeah. Eastern area has harder mobs. By the way, it's scaled up. Yeah, I don't know. Take an extra 30 seconds on item screen.

You have enough time to not rush. It's deceptive. Well, if it's deceptive and everybody's being deceived, then maybe that's a problem. If everybody is getting the same perspective of the game, and like, this is like a, this is a repeat complaint that people have, right? Like, over and over and over. Then maybe there's a problem with the way the game's messaging works. Maybe you're just not good enough to play? Well, if I'm not good enough to play and I've played Elven Ring and all the DLCs and like every other game,

then imagine what an average player is like. Like, probably a lot worse. So, like, at that point, like, who's it really going to be for? The thing that's a cash grab is a fair assessment? No, I think it was like, it's an interesting idea and it's a cool idea to do, but I just don't really think it was really executed in a good way. Does that make sense? Like, it's not like it's bad, right?

or like I hate the game or something like that. I just, I don't really find it to be like super compelling or interesting. The zone closing end makes it the, makes it a rush game. Yeah, I think so. I just think they just need to recap calibrated and retune it. So think about it from the perspective of like Elven Ring and like what bosses you're going up against. So whenever you're fighting the swordsmen in the first map, like that's a boss, that's like an end-game boss. Like that's a DLC boss. And that's the first boss that you fight and you have to fight another boss against that at the same time.

And then you have like three bosses at the same time. and like if you compare that to the way that elven ring was originally designed like these bosses you don't even encounter them until like hours and hours and hours and hours into the game whereas in this game like and i'm thinking about it from the perspective of a new player you're like you're you're going in and you're you're doing it so fast i'm trying to think a good way to put it it needs more of a buildup yeah like i'm saying like you have a lot of other bosses that you probably should use as like entry bosses rather than these because they're just like really hard if you ager a boss you can't get away um maybe right

maybe doing none passives it made it easier to enjoy maybe give the game another shot well like i don't know i mean like so for like for passos for example right in general uh with a lot of games like you would have to have a weapon equipped like i i i don't know i mean like i think the entire idea that weapon passives affect your character even when the weapon isn't equipped i think that's stupid i i think it's a stupid form of design and like you should separate the two things from each other like why is that like because it doesn't it's not intuitive it doesn't like make sense right because if you don't have a weapon out why are you getting its passive it's like in the same way that like you're not getting extra poison damage

or you're not getting extra like whatever ability you can't use the weapon art but you're using the weapon like it just doesn't make sense at all it does make you hoard weapons not you're just not a good gamer well the thing is that

most people aren't good gamers so like if I'm not a good gamer then I think I'm probably the best person that you should listen to right because like my perspective and the way that I see things is going to be the most

mechanics should not be part of its difficulty. Like what I'm saying is that like at a baseline the difficulty of the game, I think is contrived. So just because you can beat the game and you can overcome the game, that doesn't mean that the game's good. Being able to beat, I don't know, like a bugged game, like literally a boss that has like a bug in it or something like that, that doesn't make the game good immediately.

or the boss good. Or it doesn't make you good even, right? In a way it does. But like it doesn't improve the quality of the actual thing itself. And that's the point that I'm making is that the thing itself is the issue, right? Like so I think the res mechanic is stupid. I think that the passives on weapons is stupid. I think that the pool of passives in weapons is also stupid.

like you're getting like basically in a lot of roguelite games like let's take cadies for example if you go with like you already start with your weapon right and so you're only going to get dataless hammer upgrades for that weapon it's not like you're going to get them for every weapon and then if you start and you go with athena zeus and poseidon like let's say just does the first three to come to mind you're not going to randomly get a Hephaestus upgrade halfway through the run. Like, you're going to keep getting the same thing regularly, right? And so, like, you can build into a certain thing. And so, like, with this game, basically the pool of possible outcomes is, like, 300, right? Or, like, 150. I don't know. But in a lot of rogue lights, the pool of

possible outcomes maybe starts at 300, and then it narrows down over time. But I think with this, it doesn't. And like, whenever you kill a boss and then like you get all three of the options and all of them are bad, I think that there should be an option to be able to spend ruins to re-roll. As a high skill ceiling for item building, the problem is the high skill is needed from the very beginning. Yeah, I think that again, what would you think that need to change the passes to make it make sense for passers to work? Um, I think it should just be a separate system. I don't know, like, probably just more like after you kill a boss you probably should get two passives or maybe three passives or something and then after you kill a second boss you get the next three like theoretically

right like that would be a better system than what they have now 35 the game is just too complicated yeah and it's like you have all these vendors and there's like like for example like here's a really good question why are there to upgrade rocks why are their tight night shards or whatever they are smithing stones and somber smithing stones inside of the game why like it's just it's an overcomplication of a 35 minute game and and i it's carryover right yeah like and and i think that really one thing that i think from software is always done really well is that like especially with securo for example is that they did a really good job at being able to delineate between like what makes sense and what doesn't make sense.

And like they didn't allow the game to just get bloated in a way that is just overwhelming. Boss weapons and non-boss weapons? Yeah, exactly. New bosses wraps with cinema. Yeah, I think the new bosses are really cool. Drops are horrible too. Archer should not get weapons that are not their class, literally useless drops. Yeah, like why is an archer getting an axe?

It just seems like really haphazard. And that's what I was saying before about how like in Hades, whenever you start with that weapon, you know, you use the sword or the bow or the shield, you're only going to get upgrades for those types of things. Not for everything. I saw that and I got confused. Yeah, and there's just,

there's so many things that are just, there's so many friction points and confusing things about the game that don't need to be there. Like, I think the game would be better if you took out half of the items and then you recalibrated the upgrade system. And also, like, another thing is that in a lot of roguelight games, you are able to, like, get more powerful. And so people say that you can unlock more of those little circles and, like, more of those ruin things.

But even inside of the run things, like, number one, there's, like, you should be able to unlock more of those and be able to get more upgrades and make your character more powerful earlier on. because like basically i think a lot of people are going to be walled at like yeah like 70 like over 60% of people haven't even killed uh the first boss or no no no there it is 34% of killed the first boss and only 5.9% have killed the second boss yeah they don't feel that impactful they're just an abble variety yeah first from software or l in history i i don't know i mean like i don't really think it's like a huge l or anything like i i don't feel that impactful but they're just an abble variety yeah i i don't know i mean like i don't really think it's like a huge L or anything. and I hope they can implement it in the right way. Because I think they're probably getting this feedback in a lot of people, too, from a lot of people as well. So there's a lot of vestigial old systems from Elven Ring that carry over into this game that don't make sense inside of the context of a short form game this way. And if they had just tried to make this game

like separate, I think it would be better off because like basically they started from up here and then they got to here. And I think they should have started from here and they should have got to here. And that's,
